someone commented on one of my tiktoks asking me why i look like "that one youtuber that works with game theory" and as someone who doesn't care for or watch gametheory/matpat i have no idea who they're talking about but i assume this is yet another example of people thinking all fat white people with beards look the same

I'm happy to have gotten to help celebrate and contribute to The Completionist 10th Anniversary Zine!! Featuring the Super Beard Bros and games where each of them were at the helm 🌟

The Super Beard Bros are Jirard Khalil, Alex Faciane, and Brett Bayonne. They are depicted in a cartoony style. The page is divided into three scenes in a Y shape.

At the top, Alex is in the foreground wearing a suit and hat like an LA Noire detective, deep in thought. Brett is behind him, talking with his hands out in mild concern. They are inside a house with a window between them, and to the sides of the window are a picture of a frog in a car and a fist holding up a yellow Nintendo 64 controller. There are also semi-transparent Xbox A, X, and Y buttons. Outside the window, Jirard is also wearing a suit and using a magnifying glass to look down at Wallace the dog who looks ready to play. There is also a police number marking a half eaten donut on the ground.

On the bottom left is a depiction of the Metroid and Link to the Past randomizer. Jirard is dressed as Megaman and is using Samus’s grappling hook to swing by with a determined grin on his face while wielding the Master Sword. Below him are Brett dressed as Link holding a broken open Metroid item container and Alex dressed as Samus holding an open chest. Behind them are a Metroid style cave on the left and a Zelda style forest area on the right.

On the bottom right Brett is dressed as Viewtiful Joe and striking a kicking pose in the foreground. Behind him, Jirard is wearing a blue version of Joe’s suit, and striking a different kicking pose. They have lengths of film running behind them, with a gap showing a window to theater seating where Alex is cheering them on.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - Feb 14, 2018

There’s a very good reason why this thumbnail doesn’t feature the game at all: I had no idea what they were going to play. I think doing a Valentine’s Day episode was a super last minute idea, and I got the assignment on Feb 13th, so I had to jam this out super quick. I think I was told the game but I really had no time to research. The short window I had to draw this is why you only see one of everyone’s arms, I didn’t have the time to make more complex poses. I doubled down on adorable and I think it came out pretty well. Amanda and Kellz are great, and I was excited to later draw them for the Yoshi’s Island thumbnail.

That Wallace is real good.

Easter Egg: Gay Pride rainbow requested by Editor Chris in the bottom right corner. Not really hidden but a fun touch for a great dude.

Yes hello so I have several pictures I’m going to post from Retropalooza this past weekend but this one is my favorite so I’m posting it now, k. 

Alex Faciane and Jirard Khalil of Super Beard Bros and The Completionist are some of the nicest, most chill guys you will ever meet in your life. Bree and I love getting to talk to them every year at Retropalooza and their panels are always a blast. This year my mom came along on Sunday to go to the Beard Bros panel and meet them since I got her into Beard Bros over the summer, Kaizo I and II specifically (we haven’t finished III yet). 

(I’m the chick in the middle with the “Straight Outta Hyrule” shirt since last time I posted a pic of Bree and I there was some question as to who was who.)
