2019 round-up

In a word: Why?

Last year’s goals: *Paint my god damn room. This did eventually happen. Just gotta figure out what do with the all the purple real-estate.

*Move closer to London where all the peeps at. Ideally after I’ve accomplished painting my god damn room. Haha no.

*Take another international trip somewhere. Ideally with friends. Haha no...

*Maybe accept the fact no one on Tumblr reads these round-up blogs… Thought I did, but welp, here we are. Good Stuff: *Being the artist on that frickin’ card game that’s dropping next year. *Got to drive a canal boat. Only crashed into the bank a couple of times. *Attending my first CoxCon and getting to both meet Caddicarus and be a part of his collab vids with Tom. *A few sweet animation gigs from the people at Mashed. Should hopefully be more of those next year. *Finaly getting some decent internet in the household. *Getting to do many a commish and howdoyoudo at MCMs this year. *Think That Kink

Bad Stuff: *More family crap that conveniently happened around my birthday again. Am I cursed? *If our country’s politicians doesn’t royally screw me next year, the YouTube changes probably will (not necessarily me directly, but the people who would potentially give me money to make them stuff). *General lack of focus to do much. Peeps of the Year: *TomSka & the usual crew for giving me work, lending me con tables, all that good jazz. *The people at Mashed for also giving me work. *The swell folks at Offend My Eyes, who are always very nice when I swing by to buy their bizarre apparel (such as that dinosaur and shark number you’ve seen me wear in Tom’s vids). *Caddicarus and his family for being such swell folks. *Ellen for always finding time give me a hug despite her busy schedule. *Everyone’s who bought or commissioned stuff from me during cons. Stuff of the Year: Games: Astral Chain, Tangle Tower, Box Boy! + Box Girl!, Heave Ho, Dig Dog Movies: Detective Pikachu, Avengers Engame, not gonna lie, didn’t do that much cinemaring this year. Anime: Promised Neverland, Machikado Mazoku, Beastars, Granbelm, Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Mob S2, Symphogear XV TV: Twelve Forever, OKKO, marathon sessions of Masterchef Australia, Primal Goals for 2020: *Maybe give some serious thought to the whole “making a living/moving somewhere to make that living” thing. Or y’know, just getting out of the house more. *Get back on track with Crash Zoom. Lord knows you people deserve it. *Find some kind of personal project to give me some variety.

I’m not sure how busy jack will be in 2019, probs super busy haha, but I really REALLY hope he can do more UK conventions. I met him at insomnia and it was the best experience, but I’d love to see him again! I was thinking it would be cool if he came to CoxCon 2019, that’s usually in the summer, and it’s in my town and the convention centre is literally within walking distance from my house! Haha. Jack PLEASSSSSE consider it!

I almost forgot to post this!

Jesse was roaming the halls and very kindly stopped to take a photo with me. Wonderful dude, absolutely great, it's a honour to meet him every year. (Also lemme tell you that man is so soft I swear I didn't expect for him to stand that close but damn I'm happy he did).

(I'm sorry I'm probably babbling but this is my 3rd/4th year at CoxCon and I'm still a nervous, starstruck bean whenever I'm around the guys I watch. I don't think I'll ever be otherwise.)
