Just casually thinking about a whipped alec who is still dominant both in and outside the bedroom but completely wrapped around the reader's little finger. Like he is so whipped and wrapped around her finger that some of the volturi question who is actually in charge. There is those moments where he is very clearly dominant but then then there is those other ones where with just one look and maybe if desperate and dire need the reader needs to say "please", the reader gets she wants. Like it doesn't take much for alec to break and give her what she wants. And everybody is just like "wtf"

shut up kiss me.
pairing: theodore nott x reader
song inspiration: shut up kiss me by angel olsen.
author's note: everyone say thank you to my love @writingsbychlo for fueling my delusions. constantly spamming her with my ideas because i have no self control when it comes to this man. there’s just something about theo fighting that makes me absolutely feral but i’ll hush now before i spoil it 🤭
Theodore. Fucking. Nott.
Those three words fueled your rampage as you marched across the quidditch pitch. The audacity of that cocky, arrogant, silver tongued Slytherin knew no bounds. For years, you tolerated the pompous prick and the rivalry between you, but today he had finally gone too far.
You cleared the field in less than a minute, passing by confused players as you angrily seethed. You spotted a shock of familiar platinum blonde hair and walked right up to Draco Malfoy.
“Where the hell is he?”
He chuckled, perfectly aware of your longstanding enmity with his closest friend. “What’s he done this time?”
“Where. Is. He?” you repeated through gritted teeth. “Don’t make me ask again, Malfoy.”
The blonde paled several shades when he saw the fire burning in your gaze. “Locker rooms. I wouldn’t go in there, Y/N. They’re still shower—“ Draco sighed as you brushed past him. “Whatever, it’s your funeral.”
The locker rooms were steamy, the heat and humidity clinging to your school uniform as you stalked through the aisles. The Slytherin players startled when they spotted you amongst their midst.
“Well, well, well,” Mattheo drawled as he leaned against the wall. A towel hung dangerously low on his hips and he smirked when your eyes flickered over his body. “What do we have here? A sweet little Hufflepuff marching straight into the viper’s den.”
“Where the fuck is he, Riddle?”
Mattheo grinned lazily. “You’re going to have to be more specific than that, sweetheart.”
“You know exactly who I’m talking about. Your arrogant prick of a friend who sent my fucking date to the hospital wing!”
Before you went to sleep last night, you had done so with a grin on your face after a wonderful date with Alec Stone at the Three Broomsticks, but then you arrived at breakfast this morning with no Alec in sight and the rumor mill rampant with talks of Theo pummeling some poor Ravenclaw in the courtyard.
You were going to kill him.
“Sorry, love. Doesn’t ring a bell.”
You frowned, purposely bumping against Mattheo as you walked further down the dimly lit aisle. In your trail for vengeance, you ran into a very flustered looking Enzo who yelped as he sought to cover his very naked torso.
“Y/N,” Enzo said, hastily wrapping a towel around his waist. “What are you doing in the locker rooms?”
Behind him, the sound of the shower running echoed against the marble tiles. “Is he in there?”
Berkshire’s face fell. “You heard about the fight?”
“It wasn’t a fight,” you said angrily. “He pummeled Alec so badly that he’s currently in the hospital wing with a concussion and several broken bones.”
“Just hear him out, okay?”
Your eyes nearly bugged out of your head. “Hear him out? Your precious Theodore beat the absolute shit out of my date and you want me to hear him out? For what? What reason could Theo possibly have for doing what he did to Alec? He couldn’t stand to see me have fun for two fucking seconds? This is low even for him and you know it, Enzo.”
“You don’t know the whole story, Y/N.”
“Well then please point me in the right direction so I can hear from the arsehole himself.”
“He’s in there,” Enzo said, pointing to the shower stalls. “But I’m warning you, Y/N. He’s in a proper foul mood.”
You huffed. “That makes two of us.”
The steam from the showers rose up like a malevolent fog, curling around your feet as you stormed through the stalls. You found him in the farthest corner, water trickling down his back as he faced the tiled wall. His body language was tense, like a serpent preparing to strike. A crimson trail swirled against the marble as blood dripped from Theo’s bruised knuckles. The sight of it incensed you.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
Theo whipped his head towards your direction, his dark curls plastered against his cheek. Those watercolor eyes were stormy, the blues and greens flickering with anger as he met your gaze.
“You shouldn’t be here,” he said dismissively.
“Bullshit!” You countered, stepping further into the stall. The steam barely covered Theo’s naked form, but you weren’t about to let that deter you from demanding answers. “You owe me a fucking explanation.”
“For what?”
“For what?” you repeated incredulously. “You beat Alec within an inch of his life and that’s all you have to say for yourself? Honestly Theodore, have you gone absolutely mental?”
“He deserved it.”
“Why? Because he took me out on a date? Because you couldn’t stand to let me have this one thing? You absolutely loathe the idea of me being even remotely happy, don’t you?”
Theo clenched his fists as his jaw twitched in anger. “No. I loathe the idea of that miserable excuse of a human being breathing the same air as you.”
“So you beat him to a bloody pulp?”
His voice was cold and icy, cutting through you like glass. “He’s lucky I didn’t do worse.”
“What do you have against Alec?” You moved closer to Theo, closing the gap as you poked his chest. The shower streamed over the both of you, blurring your vision. The water was hot against your skin, but it paled against the heat of your own anger. “What did he ever do to you, Theo?”
Theo gripped your wrist. You were vaguely aware of his nakedness, but he made no move to hide it and you were too furious to even care. “Don’t say his name. I can’t bear to hear you say it after what he said about you this morning.”
You stepped backward, flinching. “What—what are you talking about?”
When you met his gaze, you startled. You’d never seen Theo this angry before. His eyes, which were usually dead and expressionless, burned with a cold sort of fury.
“I heard him in the courtyard, bragging to his stupid friends. I thought he was just chatting shit, so I kept back. I only came down for a smoke, but then he said your name.”
The pit in your stomach grew. “What did he say?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. You weren’t sure you wanted to know. Not if he was this angry over it.
“The stupid fucking prick was talking about your date. The dress you wore. The smiles you gave him. The hand holding through Hogsmeade. Then one of his gormless mates asked if he got lucky.”
You froze at his words as a horrible feeling washed over you. Theo loosened his grip on your wrist, but didn’t let go.
“Do you know what that sodding idiot said? I will, soon enough. I can tell she’s raring to go.”
Tears pricked at your eyes. You felt like you were going to be violently sick.
“And his friends—those miserable fucking wankers started betting on how long it would take. Two dates. Three. A month.” Theo’s hands were shaking, violence spilling over into his veins. “That smug tosser smirked and said he could’ve had you out in the hallway. That’s how eager you were.”
“I barely even touched him!” you said angrily. “I kissed his cheek good night and that was it.”
“I know,” Theo said, his voice low and rough. “I know you. I knew he was lying, so I fucking lost it. I walked over there and just punched and punched until my knuckles were bloody and bruised and all I could see was red. I wanted to wipe that stupid fucking smirk off his mouth.”
You could picture Theo putting out his cigarette ever so calmly before walking over to throw the first punch. You’d seen him fight before. He was relentless. Where Mattheo was pure fire and rage, Theo was as cold as ice. There was nothing but lethal calm in those dead eyes as he delivered blow after blow in absolute silence.
“Eventually, Blaise and Enzo pulled me off of that prick.” He averted his gaze as if remembering the moment. “When his idiot friends finally peeled him off the floor, I spit on the fucker. I told him to consider it a warning. That I’d do a lot worse if I ever heard your name come out of his mouth again. I promised him that a concussion would be the least of his worries if he didn’t stay the fuck away from you.”
The tears fell down your cheeks despite your efforts to keep them in. The anger all but faded from Theo’s eyes as soon as he realized that you were crying. You were so, so stupid. For thinking Alec was a nice guy. For being so giddy after your date only for him to turn around and spit vile lies about you.
For crying in front of your worst enemy.
The color drained from Theo’s face as you cried into your hands. You felt him shift beside you, debating whether or not to come closer.
“Don’t,” you said through a broken sob. “Don’t come near me.”
Theo flinched at your words, looking visibly pained. His voice was soft and soothing when he spoke again. “Tell me how to fix it. Do you want to yell at me? Punch me? Go ahead, love. I can take it.” He sounded desperate. “Just please, please don’t cry.”
You hugged your arms around your waist and glared at him. “Why do you even care?”
He paused, fingers flexing at his side as he fought the urge to reach out and comfort you.
“Because I care about you!” The exasperation in his voice made your chest tighten. “I care that you let that stupid idiot take you on a date to the Three Broomsticks. I care that you fucking smiled at him when he gave you roses even though I know you prefer sunflowers. I care that you kissed him on the cheek when he dropped you off at your dorm.”
You sniffled, utterly perplexed at his words. “I don’t understand. We hate each other!”
Theo visibly softened, the tension leaving his body. “I could never hate you, Y/N.” He reached for your hand. Your first instinct was to pull away, but you let him trace soothing circles on your skin. “I may tease you. Prank you. Annoy you. But I’ve never hated you.”
Theo wiped the dried up tears from your cheeks. No fresh tears, which he took as a good sign. “I don’t even think you remember this, but I tried asking you to the Yule Ball in fourth year.”
The memory surfaced. You were reading by the Black Lake and Theo had asked if you had a date. You said no, to which he promptly asked if he could take you. You left in a huff, thinking that it was just another way to rile you up.
“I thought you were just trying to get a rise out of me. If I would’ve known…”
Theo paused. “How could you not know? How could you not see?”
The rage crashed against you like an errant wave. You didn’t know if you were angry at Theo or yourself, but you exploded either way, unable to keep your emotions under control.
“Because you never told me, you idiot!”
“I never told you, but I showed you.” He smiled crookedly. “I'm not good with words, obviously. Every time I open my mouth it’s like I say the perfect combination of words to piss you off. So I learned to tell you how I felt through my actions.”
“Haven’t you ever wondered why your favorite study spot in the library is always free? That’s because I threatened anyone who came near it. Or how you never seem to run out of quills despite the fact that you manage to break one every day from how hard you write? I always replaced them when you weren’t looking.” Your heart clenched at his words. “I even bribed first years to bring you hot chocolate when I knew you were pulling all nighters.”
You stood there, staring at him. This wasn’t the cocky, arrogant Theo that you knew. He was looking at you so earnestly that it physically hurt how endearing it all was.
“Why would you let me think that you were an inconsiderate jerk this whole time?”
Those hypnotizing eyes pierced right through you, filled with a sadness so heavy that you felt it weighing on your chest.
“Because at least you were thinking of me.”
You swayed gently. The water had long seeped into your bones, making you shiver as all of your clothes stuck to your skin like paper. You were convinced that your body had gone into shock. The range of emotions you were currently experiencing was turbulent to say the least. You stood in stunned silence, just taking it all in. Then the impact of his words hit you all at once.
Theo watched as your bottom lip trembled. Panic seized him as you began crying again, this time not bothering to hide it from him. “Fuck I’m sorry, Y/N. Please don’t cry.”
He didn’t know what to do. Should he comfort you? Should he keep his distance? Theo felt like he was doing a rather exceptional job of mucking things up.
“Why are you saying sorry?” You said between hiccups. “I’m the one who should be apologizing.”
Theo caressed your cheek. So gently. Like he half-expected you to recoil. That only set a fresh wave of tears to spill onto your cheeks.
“You have nothing to apologize for, love.”
“Of course I do!” you nearly wailed. “I’ve been horrible to you. I’ve thought the worst of you, but all this time you were doing all these sweet, considerate things and I never even noticed. You should’ve told me, Theo.”
“I—I didn’t think you’d ever see me that way,” Theo said softly. “It was better to have you hate me and still be part of my life than risking not having you in it at all.”
Because at least you were thinking of me.
It was the saddest thing that you’ve ever heard. For years, Theo settled for being your enemy because he’d rather have your hatred and loathing than indifference. He sustained himself on the bare minimum because he thought that was all he deserved.
“I’m sorry, Theo. I’m so so fucking sorry.”
Theo was absolutely distressed. “Fuck, look Y/N. Let me just finish up here and get my towel and when I’m dry and slightly less naked then we can talk, okay?”
You sniffled, wiping your tears away. There was no way you could wait. Not after everything Theo had just told you. Not after everything that he’s been telling you all these years. Theo had literally and figuratively laid himself bare before you. The least you could do was to even the playing field.
So you unlaced the gold and black tie around your neck. Unbuttoned your blouse and threw it somewhere behind you. Stepped out of your skirt and stared at Theo head on.
“Oh—Merlin’s beard, what in the hell are you doing, Y/N? Are you trying to send me into cardiac arrest?”
You shook your head, smiling slightly. Theo was determined to look everywhere but at your very exposed body. You were still in your bra and panties, but the black lace really didn’t leave much to the imagination. Especially when the water clung to every inch of your skin.
“You were vulnerable with me,” you said simply. “So I’m returning the favor.”
Theo felt like he was definitely headed for an early grave. He tried to think of something—anything—other than the girl he’s been head over heels for since third year standing naked in front of him.
“Theo,” you said softly. His name had never sounded half as good coming out of anyone else’s mouth. He wanted to bottle the sound. “Can I—can I hug you?”
He could’ve sworn that his heart had stopped beating. The air had all but left his lungs, deflating his entire body as though he’d fallen off his broom and plummeted through the sky at breakneck speed.
Theo didn’t recognize his own voice as he said, “Of course you can, Y/N.”
The words were barely out of his mouth before you dashed into his arms, nearly toppling him over from the force of it. You were a tiny little thing, but you were stronger than you looked. He smiled as you wrapped your arms around his neck, standing on your tiptoes as you hugged him. For a minute you and Theo just stood there under the trickling water, holding each other as though you were the only two people alive.
If this was all the affection you were willing to give him, Theo would’ve been content to hold onto you until you grew tired of him. His slender fingers traced down your spine, drawing soothing circles against your skin as you buried your face in the crook of his neck. You felt safe. Like nothing bad could ever happen as long as you were with him.
You couldn’t remember the last time you’d felt like this. There was just this spark between you. Perhaps that was part of the reason why you had been so angry this morning.
It hadn’t just been because Theo sent Alec to the hospital wing, which you were now thankful for after hearing all the disgusting things he said about you. It was also because you thought that he had ruined your chance of feeling that rush with someone else. The same rush you got when the two of you were arguing. The same rush that was noticeably missing when you kissed Alec last night.
Things with Theo had always been electric. You attributed it to mutual loathing, but that wasn’t the full story. Sure he made your blood boil sometimes, but he also made you feel alive. You were terrified to admit it to yourself, which is probably why you said yes to Alec in the first place.
You sighed as Theo’s fingers tangled through your hair. He gently pulled your head back and looked at you in the most heartbreaking way.
“Y/N,” he said hoarsely. Theo’s gaze dipped to your mouth as his arm snaked around your waist. “I think I might die if I go one more second without kissing you. Will you please put me out of my misery, love?”
You couldn’t help but smile. “Gladly.”
Theo held his breath as you pulled him down to you, lips brushing shyly at first. Then you leaned in and kissed him. And he truly and honestly thought that he had died.
Your lips were soft against his, tasting of strawberries and mint toothpaste. He cupped the back of your head and tilted your chin to deepen the kiss. Before, Theo thought he could’ve sustained himself from a simple hug, but right now, he couldn’t even control himself as he gorged himself on your taste.
He chuckled when you tried and failed to get on your tiptoes to offset the height difference between you. Theo caressed your cheek and smiled against your mouth.
“Need some help, love?”
You nodded before pulling him back down again. This time, the tender kisses turned more heated as he locked your legs around his waist and pressed your back against the wall. You gasped as the cold tile made contact with your bare skin and Theo took the opportunity to slide his tongue against yours.
Merlin’s beard. Theo kissed with his entire body. There wasn’t an inch of you that wasn’t touching him and the skin to skin contact set your body on fire. You’d kissed other boys before, but they paled in comparison. You couldn’t get enough of Theo. You ran your fingers through his hair. Wrapped your legs more tightly around his waist. Trailed kisses along his jaw and neck and throat.
Then he fucking moaned.
It was a low, rumbling sound that sent tremors over your body and shook every fiber of your being like a devastating earthquake. You wanted to hear him make that sound over and over again.
“Y/N,” Theo said, his forehead dropping to yours. “Before I lose all sense of self, I want to—no—I need to tell you—”
“What is it, Theo?”
“If we do this, then you have to understand what it means to me,” Theo whispered. “I may be terrible with words, but it’s important for me that you hear me when I say this. I want you. Not just physically, but in every sense of the word. I wanted you in third year when you first told me off for being a dick to the first years and I want you now even though you came in here to defend a prick that definitely doesn’t deserve it.”
“What are you saying, Theo?”
“I want you to be mine, Y/N.”
You beamed. “Like, your girlfriend?”
“I don’t think girlfriend is a strong enough word to express how I feel for you, but it’s a start.” He moved the hair out of your face and cradled your cheek. “So yes, I suppose I do want you to be my girlfriend. I want to hold hands with you in the hallways. I want to look up at the stands during my games and see you cheering me on. I want to take you up to the Astronomy Tower and kiss you under the stars.”
“And you say you’re bad with words,” you teased. “I want to do all those things and more with you, Theodore Nott. Of course I’ll be your girlfriend.”
“Good, cause you’re mine.” Theo said matter-of-factly, those adorable dimples making an appearance on each cheek. “You were mine even before you knew it.”
He kissed you again, but this time it was soft and sweet and it filled your stomach with butterflies. Theo no longer felt the need to hoard as much of your affection as he could because you had just given him the ultimate reassurance that he would have plenty of you in the future.
You sighed contently against him, toying with the curls at the nape of his neck. He shifted, pressing kisses against your neck. Your fingers froze when you felt him stir underneath you.
“Theo,” you said slowly, biting back a smirk. “Is that what I think it is pressing against my leg?”
He groaned. “We’re half naked, in the shower, heavily making out, and you just agreed to be my girlfriend. Of course I’m hard.”
You stifled a laugh. “Theodore Nott, is emotional intimacy turning you on?”
“Everything about you turns me on.”
“That’s helpful to know,” you said with a little smirk. “Especially when we're dueling and I’m losing.”
“Merlin’s beard. My girlfriend’s downright evil.”
You grinned so hard that your cheeks ached. Theo peppered kisses all over your face before setting you down.
“I suppose we should head to dinner soon. My teammates watched you march in here in a fit of rage. They might think you’ve murdered me.”
“There’s only one problem,” you said as you finally turned off the shower. “I’m soaking wet.”
“I bet you are, darling.”
You rolled your eyes. “From the shower, you wanker.”
He grinned and kissed the top of your head. “It’s alright. I’ve got some extra clothes in my locker.”
Ten minutes later, the two of you walked out in the quidditch pitch hand in hand. Theo’s sweater completely enveloped you and he smiled a little at the sight. You received a few interesting stares as you made your way through the castle halls, but one look from Theo and they all quickly found something else to gawk at. Having a scary boyfriend was already paying off.
On the way to dinner, you ran into Enzo. The git had the biggest smile on his face when he saw that you and Theo were holding hands. “So you heard him out after all, huh?”
“Yeah, we sorted out our differences,” you said with a smile. “Coincidentally, I gained a boyfriend out of the whole ordeal. Happy now, Berkshire?”
“Absolutely chuffed,” Enzo said with a grin. “See you lovebirds at dinner.”
Theo rolled his eyes as his friend disappeared into the Great Hall. He turned, squeezing your fingers. “I should warn you. My friends can be a bit…much.”
“Don’t worry, I think we all got fairly acquainted in the locker rooms. If they tease us, well I’ve got a perfectly scary boyfriend to fend them off.”
He chuckled. “A scary boyfriend with an even more terrifying girlfriend.”
You winked, kissing his bruised knuckles. “This school won’t know what hit them.”
“Neither did Alec,” he said with a satisfied smirk. You gave him a reprimanding glare, but it was half-hearted. You didn’t actually feel sorry for the prick. “Sorry. Too soon?”
“You know you can’t punch everyone that says anything bad about me, right?”
“Of course not. I’m perfectly capable of kicking them too.”
You rolled your eyes fondly. “Shut up and kiss me, Theo.”
“Yes ma'am.”

Turning a corner you let out a long sigh. Currently you were walking around the castle just going around in circles indecisive on who you wanted to spend time with and who you wanted to ask for some.. Things. You had woken up today to your punishment for simply being a woman. Your period. The reason you were walking around and not just lying in bed like you normally would is because this is your first time having your period in a castle full of vampires. Your period was very irregular so even though it had been a few months since your mates had found you, you’ve never bled around them before.
You were nervous to see how they would react to it. You thought about asking Jane for some pads but then you remembered that she doesn’t have a period. And she’s probably never had one in her life to begin with. You thought about asking Felix but you felt that he would just make fun of you or tease you. Which was something you didn’t want to deal with right now. If someone teased you about something you couldn’t control you feel like you’d just snap.
Asking Alec was just a plain no. You knew he’d just stare at you in confusion like what the hell do you mean your bleeding? With Caius you didn’t want to bother him as he was busy with trails right now with the other kings. Plus you’d have a feeling he’d want to paint with it. He has this infatuation with the way dark red blood looks. And you didn’t want him to paint a mural out of your blood for you. Though you're sure it would be gorgeous, he never disappoints you with his paintings.
The only one that was left was Demtri. Your gentleman out of all your mates. Now you would ask him because you know he wouldn’t tease you or ask some weird request once you got what you needed but that still didn’t stop you from avoiding him also.
So when you woke up this morning with the red sea between your legs you rushed to the bathroom and took a shower. Covering yourself in scents you’d only use if it was your last day on earth. Spraying yourself in the most expensive perfume that you could find. God do your mates love to spoil you or what? This one bottle of perfume you knew for a fact was a thousand dollars and yet they still said “It was nothing.” For once you were grateful that your room was on the far side of the castle away from all the other vampires including your mates.
You had picked this room purely based on the views that came with it. Your balcony was facing the ocean side of the castle. You could fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the rocks. And you could watch the horizon where the moon and the sun would meet everyday, each rise and set of the moon and sun was always better than the last. That was what you loved about this castle. And that was what you loved about your wing of it. It was your small piece of the fortress and no one could take that away from you. Your love’s made sure of it.
Taking the silk sheets off your bed you did your best to scrub them clean but of course there was still a stain. You tossed them into the hamper and made a mental note to ask the maid to come get it later for you. You placed new sheets on your bed. You changed your makeshift pad that was made of tissue then you were off to pace the halls to grow some balls.
You wore your robes that matched all the vamps that were with the volturi, hood up and all in attempts to hide your identity.
It didn’t work.
You were convinced that everyone in the castle knew your scent by hard because every vampire that passed, rather they were walking normally or vamping away, they would pause in their tracks and make sure to bow to you. Though it was completely unnecessary, you loved how it made you feel. The power that you hold as just a human brung so much pride to you. The 3 kings and your mates always would tell you to own it and so you did.
You tried hiding in the shadows when you knew that someone was coming. Pushing yourself against the walls, even turning your whole body like you were just put into time out. You knew you looked like a dumbass but that wasn’t the point nor your problem right now. All you knew was that you didn’t want to face any more people than necessary.
Finally after what felt like hours you finally made it to the receptionist desk. You were thankful that she was even there. She was always off doing something she had no business doing. You were surprised that she hadn’t gotten herself killed yet. But today you were grateful for that.
“What can I do to help you?” She asked, putting on a voice that you could tell was supposed to be charming. It was not.
Pulling your hood off she immediately stood from her chair but quickly dropped down to bow.
“My queen, Is there anything I can do to assist you? Master Caius is out feeding with the others. Would you like me to retrieve him?” She asked, speaking softly.
Respect was a big thing with the kings if someone showed you any signs of disrespect you never saw or heard from them again. So it was understandable as to why she switched up so fast.
“No, I was wondering if you had any… You know.. Tampons or pads? Anything honestly.” You said rushing it out. But still trying to keep it low.
“Oh! Don’t you have any of that stuff? They practically treat you like royalty.” She laughed with a roll of her eyes.
That pissed you off. She’s always had a problem with you and you’ve always kept your mouth shut but today that wasn’t how you were feeling.
“Because I am. Now if you don’t like it or respect it I have no problem having this conversion with the kings. I'm sure they would love to hear about this.” You said in a stern voice, sending her a glare. Her eyes widened, you never threatened anyone, you’ve never had to. It was always done for you if it needed to be done.
She got up and quickly left, hoping she went to get you something, anything at this point. You could feel that your makeshift pad is not working.
“Till we hear about what, Amore mio?” You heard behind you making you jump and turn around. When you did you were faced by the three kings themselves. You found yourself sort of stung in place. Your plan was to come get some pads and I don’t know, hide until it all went away? Horrible plan but it worked in your head. This was not a part of your plan.
“Umm nothing I was justt..” You dragged out shifting your eyes between the three.
Aro was staring at you with his wide curious eyes. Marcus looked at you with soft knowing eyes, he always knew when things were wrong with you. And caius looked at you with narrowed eyes.
“Are you hiding something from us?” Caius questioned stepping closer to you. You felt your heart skip a beat. They heard it of course.
“Caius can you go away?” You asked, covering your face with the palm of your hands.
“Why would I go away? Are you trying to run away?!” Cauis yelled out, making you frown.
“Caius..” Marcus sighed out. There was no doubt that Cauis’s biggest fear was you leaving him and him never being able to find you. It broke your heart that he felt he wasn’t truely loveable.
“I swear you're bipolar.” You said taking your hands off your face just in time to see the receptionist with a brown bag in her hand. When you saw this you grabbed it from her and ran as fast as you could.
“I wanna be alone right now! No one bother me, pass the message along!” When you turned your head to see if they were behind you they weren't even there. Seeing this you stopped running and caught your breath leaning on a wall. You swear you need to work out more. Or hell even walk more, but what's the point when you can have Felix carry you everywhere?
Since you were down here on this side of the castle you thought why not stop and get some snacks? So that’s what you did. Big mistake.
Walking into the kitchen you saw Demetri and Felix and immediately turned around hoping that they didn’t see you.
“Bellissima?” Dem said softly, making you turn around.
“Yes?” You said, just as softly.
“Are you alright?” He said, raising an eyebrow.
“Yes of course! Why wouldn’t I be?” You said shifting from side to side slightly cringing.
“What’s that sme-” Before Felix could even finish his sentence you dashed out of that kitchen and you ran. You ran straight to your room and you didn’t stop for anything or anybody. Your one mission was to get to your room and stay there.
Once you got to your room you ran straight to the bathroom and turned the shower on. You didn’t even allow yourself to think about how embarrassingly long it took you to get to this point. You never paid attention to how many people or how many vampires live in this castle until you felt like fresh bait to them. You let yourself relax feeling the hot water hit your back. You allowed it to wash away the mixed emotions you had.
Once you got out you did your normal hygiene routine and you felt better. You felt ready to rot in a ball for the next week. Opening your bathroom door you stopped in your tracks when you saw all of your mates standing in front of you.
“Hi..?” You said after a minute passed and no words were spoken.
“Why are you acting so strange?” Alec was the first to speak.
“How could I have been acting strange? I haven't even seen you today!” You yelled out holding onto your towel tighter.
“Yes you have, you’ve seen us both when you were cowering into the ‘shadows’.” Jane said plainly.
“You walked right past us like you didn’t even know who we were!” Alec yelled.
“Don’t yell at me!” You yelled back at him frowning.
“Why not?! If I don’t yell you might walk right past me again!”
“Just cause I walked past you doesn’t mean you can yell at me!”
“I can do whatever-”
“Where not going to solve this yelling at her!” Dem yelled, cutting Alec off.
“Anyone wanna talk to her and not yell at her?!” He yelled looking at the rest of your mates.
While he eyes weren’t on you you felt your eyes water and you couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down your face. The moment you sniffled you caught everyone's attention.
“You made her cry!” Alec yelled glaring at Demetri.
“I didn’t do a damn thing!” Dem yelled back at Alec.
That started a yelling war between Alec and Dem which only made you cry harder. It was frustrating.
“Can someone tell me what that smell is!” Felix yelled out in his own frustration. As he had been sniffing everything like a damn dog since you’ve seen him.
“It’s me! It’s me okay? I’m fucking bleeding I’m on my period okay?! That’s why I’ve been acting weird all day it’s embarrassing and I needed some pads but I didn’t have any and I knew that none of you did and I didn’t wanna ask so I didn’t and you guess kept popping up in places that you didn’t belong and-”
“You smell good.” Felix said, making you stop immediately.
“What?” You questioned.
“Yeah you smell sweeter but at the same time dull. It’s something I’ve never smelt before. It makes my mouth water.” Felix said, staring at you with slightly darker red eyes.
“I agree.” Cauis said, looking you up and down with greedy eyes.
“She doesn’t smell like that to me, she smells like a softer scent of her normal self.” Dem said now looking at you with a strange expression on his face.
“She smells like something that I can’t explain but it’s pleasant.” Jane said as Alec agreed with her.
“I smell good?” You questioned with your voice cracking slightly.
“You always smell good. Are you seriously telling us that this is the reason that you’ve been avoiding us? That’s a foolish reason.” Cauis said.
“I’ll go gather some stuff you’ll need.” Jane said and before you could say anything of hell even blind she was gone.
“I’ve read a whole book about menstrual cycles before-” Felix started.
“You can read?” Alec scoffed, dodging the book Felix threw at him in reflex.
“We're gonna take good care of you, I promise.” Felix said as he appeared at your side and settled you on your bed softly.
“Master Caius, can you lay down? As much as I don’t like to admit it, you're her favorite to lay on when she’s in pain.” He asked, even though Cauis wanted to respond to Felix's statement he kept his mouth shut for your sake.
Cauis pulled you into him as he laid down and you felt yourself relax immediately. While you felt it they could hear it.
“I’m in my towel this is not a reliable form of protection if you catch my drift?” You said to your mates hinting at the fact that you’d like to get dressed.
“You think I care if you bleed on me Amore mio?” Caius questioned in a dull tone as if it wasn’t a big deal.
“Yes I do.” You said as a matter of fact. This sent your mates into a tumble of laughter. While you looked dumbfounded they just shook their heads.
“Sometimes I think you forget what we are.” Dem said looking at you with a soft smirk on his face.
“We eat your kind for breakfast, lunch and dinner and yet you think we are put off by a little drop of blood. That is foolish.” Cauis said, shaking his head pulling you closer to him.
“Now relax until Jane gets back.” Felix said leaving no room for argument.
With this being said you watched as your mates took their places in your room. Alec sat in a chair that was next to your bed grabbing a book to read. Felix turned on your tv that they had installed and began flipping through the channels. And dem was busy closing all of your curtains so that the room was dark for you. You felt loved by the smallest things that they were doing. Even if it didn’t benefit you, you felt at peace with your loves just in the same place as you.
As you close your eyes Cauis begins stroking your hair sending a small shiver down your spine due to his cold finger tips.
“If you just let us change you you wouldn’t have to go through this pointless pain.” Cauis said, making you shake your head.
“I show one sign of pain and you already wanna kill me.” You said snuggling closer into Caius which he welcomed with open arms.
“You’d be reborn into Una versione migliore di te.” He voiced like it was nothing.
“You know that I haven’t been keeping up with my lessons with Marus!” You yelled hitting caius on his side.
“And whose fault is that?” Alec said casually flipping the page to his book he was reading.
“Not mine actually! Because everytime I try to go to Marcus study, one of you always stops me in my tracks and leads me in a different direction!” You said pointing to each one of your mates. To which none of them could say anything because they knew that it was true.
“See.” You said smiling at the fact that there was no back talk at all.
Some time passed and you had fallen asleep. When you woke up you felt a weight on your stomach looking down you saw that it was Jane. Her head rested on your stomach. The sun had gone completely down and it was now pitch black in your room but you felt no fear in your heart because you knew that you were safe.
When you went to shift your legs you were placed with a reminder of why they were here in the first place. Looking down at your previously white towel you couldn’t help the words that came out of your mouth.
“Fucking hell.” You groaned, rolling your eyes.
“A little free bleeding ain’t never hurt nobody.” Felix said with a smirk that you could just feel in your soul.
“What the fuck.” You said and immediately you heard a few chuckles come from different parts of the room.

moments before bedtime 𝜗𝜚 ׅ ۫ alec volturi x reader
warnings:just fluff
The day finally came where you moved in with your mate and to say you were nervous was an understatement. Staying in a house with just your sister and father was normal, but staying in a castle with many blood drinking vampires was… scary. Your bedtime rolled around quickly and it was almost as if Alec could sense your nervousness, coming up behind you as you finished brushing your teeth in what now was your shared bathroom and pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
You turned in his arms, cuddling up to him as he stiffened slightly before wrapping his arms around you. “What’s wrong, sweetface?” he frowned.
You shrugged before looking up at him “just nervous”. This caused him to frown more as he gently rubbed a thumb over your cheek. You explained your worries to him quietly, and he chuckled and pulled you closer.
“I’ll be here the entire time. Promise i won’t let anything happen to you while you sleep. It’ll be just like when i’d visit.” He pressed a kiss to your forehead before he heard your small reply.
“Can i- can i wear one of your shirts to sleep?” He rubbed your back lightly as he chuckled again. “Of course, baby”
𝜗𝜚 ׅ ۫
You were laying in Alec’s bed, him next to you attempting to distract you as he questioned why you always slept with a ragged teddy bear making you pout at his playfulness.
“He’s been with me since i was a baby” Alec laughed before picking the toy up and examining it “He looks to have seen better days” he states before throwing it to the end of the bed.
“Hey!” you exclaim, offended as he pulls you into him “Don’t throw him!!”
“You have me now, why do you still need that thing?” He teases, pressing a light kiss to the corner of your lips.
“Because..” you say stubbornly, but snuggle into him regardless, leaning up and pressing your lips to his. After a few minutes he pulled away, smiling as he realises how much more relaxed you were.
“My my, I am spoiling you with my affection today” he leans back against the pillows as he looks at the ceiling, stroking your hair. You hum and move to lay your head in his lap.
“There’s my good girl.” He smiles, looking down at you and using his pointer finger to lightly trace over your features - a habit you’d noticed he would do a lot around you. You blush at his words as he smiles, continuing “I will never spoil anyone else with my affection in the ways that i spoil you with it, mia amore”
You giggle lightly as you look up at him one last time, closing your eyes and relaxing into him.

Tag
Alec x Fem!Reader
Summary: After watching The Maze Runner during movie night, you have the bright idea of playing tag in the courtyard.
Warnings:
Fluff!
Alec being an obnoxious little shit.
Word Count: 300+
Requested?: Yes!
imagine y/n watching maze runner and deciding they want to play hide and seek tag with Alec or anyone
A/N: Okay, so this has been in my ask box for forever AND I'M SO SORRY. I've been trying to get a hold of the movie, since I've never seen it, but I can't find it online without paying for it. Sooo… I hope this is ok.
I could just tell that Alec was already regretting the last movie night. I enjoyed watching The Maze Runner, although I'm sure Alec would have been half asleep if he could have been. At least until he figured out another way to entertain himself by playing with my hair.
But he was regretting it now, since I had roped him into playing hide and seek tag. The key to doing this? Jane. Contrary to popular belief, Jane wasn't all that scary. Unless she wanted to be. But seeing as I was her "little sister" I was rather spoiled.
What I hadn't expected was for her to threaten Demetri and Felix into playing as well. And Jane threatening Demetri with pain of death should he use his gift during our little game was just icing on the cake. And everyone had to move at a human speed. Demetri and Felix thought that it could actually be kind of fun. More of a challenge since it wasn't something they were used to. Alec just looked defeated, and Jane was practically glowing since she had the chance to annoy her brother.
We had all drawn straws to see who would be first, then the game was on. I had managed to escape everyone so far, but I had a suspicion that that was done on purpose. Or rather, Demetri and Felix were battling it out as to who could catch the other the most number of times. That was until Demetri decided to spice it up by tagging Jane.
So now Alec was currently It, and I could practically feel the irritation rolling off of him in waves. I didn't dare move from my hiding spot in the bushes, although I knew he could hear my heartbeat racing. They all could. That was kind of the shitty part of being a human and playing games like this with vampires.
Suddenly Alec was in front of me, smirking. He leaned forward, brushing his lips against mine.
"Tag you're it."
And he slipped away while I was still processing what happened.
"Wait!" I yelled, wriggling my way from under the brush. "Kisses don't count as a tag!"
I heard Alec laugh from somewhere nearby.
"That was cheating, Alec!!"
I grinned, heading in his direction.
Two could play this game.

Our First Christmas
Word Count: 1,081 Demetri x reader Oneshot Warning: Fluff
Your Christmas prompt 12 for Demetri!? For @volturi-stuff
12.“This is nice, being here with you in front of the fire and watching the snow fall”
Demetri and Y/N had been together for six months and things were progressing slowly as she got used to living with vampires and dating a vampire. Y/N was made to feel welcome by Demetri and his friends, Felix, Heidi, Corin and Santiago. The twins Jane and Alec took a little longer to warm to her given their history but soon realised that she was around their age and it gave them someone else to hang out with other than each other.
Halloween is the Volturi’s favourite holiday and they always decorate the castle, have movie marathons for the last few days of October. The twins even dress up and go trick or treating just for the fun of it, Demetri going with them to make sure that they’re safe. This amused Y/N and she went along with them, the twins giving their candy to her and Gianna, the Volturi’s human Secretary.
With Halloween out of the way and the castle being decoration free Y/N decided to plan for Christmas. She made a list of all the things that needed to be done and hoped for a white Christmas this year.
Demetri found her ‘Christmas to do list’ and smiled, the Volturi put a few decorations up for the Secretary’s sake but didn’t really celebrate it themselves. He figured the holiday must be a favourite of hers and decided that if she wanted to celebrate with him, he wouldn’t disagree as he loved seeing her happy.
As December approached he made his own little list of things he needed to do to make Christmas special for her, the first item on the list was gifts; more importantly, a ring. He planned to spoil his mate this year as it was their first Christmas together and he was happy that he finally had someone to spend his money on.
“Demetri can we go Christmas tree shopping on Saturday please?” She called out from the closet and he smiled, not that she could see him as he was sat at his desk sorting out paperwork “Of course we can but remember the tree has to be able to fit in this room” “I know Dem, I know” She replied.
Y/N and Demetri decided on an artificial tree as Demetri didn’t like the idea of picking up pine needles for months to come. “I read online that artificial trees can be used year after year, making it an investment” Demetri told her and she tried not to giggle at the thought of a Christmas tree being an investment.
Whilst out shopping they picked up decorations for the tree and their shared room deciding on an Autumn colour scheme of Bronze, Orange and Gold. “Ah, I can’t wait to get home and put the tree up and everything” Y/N was practically bouncing up and down with excitement and Demetri’s heart warmed at the sight, loving the smile that was sitting on her beautiful face.
Demetri took Y/N to the Christmas Market just outside of the city square “I look around the stalls every year. It’s fascinating because you can find traditional items from a range of cultures and times throughout history as well as modern items” He told her as they passed a stall selling hand carved wooden statues and decorations. “It’s amazing Dem” She replied, her eyes wide and filled with wonder. Demetri bought her a Mulled Wine and got himself a Hot Chocolate as they made their way around the market.
Y/N spotted a stall selling personalised decorations and led Demetri over to the stall. Y/N looked at the many decorations before spotting a decoration that resembled two vampires wrapped up in winter coats holding hands and smiled wide as she picked it up “I’ll take this one please” She said as she handed the decoration to the stall owner “What names would you like added?” The lady replied “Y/N and Demetri please” The lady smiled “Of course. If you would like to choose another item as it’s buy one get one free on all decorations.” Y/N watched her turn around to begin the personalisation and had another look at the decorations on offer. “How about this one darling?” Demetri’s voice sounded in her ear and he held out a fireplace shaped decoration, complete with stockings. It had a white banner at the top for personalisation “I like it but would you have written on it?” “Our first Christmas and the year, to mark this special milestone in our relationship.” She smiled up at him lovingly “Who knew you had a soppy side” She replied, her tone teasing “You say soppy, I say romantic” He replied and kissed her softly on the lips.
They returned to the castle with their new tree, wreath and decorations and began to decorate their room. Y/N carefully placed their stockings on the fireplace and hung the wreath on their door as Demetri assembled the tree and put the warm white Christmas lights on it. They decorated the tree together although Demetri placed the gold star on top of the tree as he was tall enough to do so with ease.
It had started to snow whilst they were decorating their room and Y/N smiled “I was hoping for a white Christmas” Her voice low. She felt Demetri wrap his arms around her from behind and he placed a kiss to her temple “It’s snows every December here in Volterra so you may get bored of the white Christmas thing after a few decades” “Never” She responded and he chuckled “We’ll see.”
Once Y/N had eaten the pasta dish Demetri cooked her for dinner, they made their way back to their shared room to watch a movie. Demetri added another log to the fire as Y/N got the blankets from the closet and sat on the large sofa waiting for Demetri to join her. He sat beside her and ensured the blankets covered them both before pulling her into his side, feeling her snuggle into him a few moments later. “This is nice, being here with you in front of the fire and watching the snow fall” Demetri whispered in her ear as the fire crackled away casting the room in a soft golden glow, the thought of watching a movie forgotten. “It is and I couldn’t think of anyone I’d rather be snuggled up to this Christmas” She replied and leant up to press her lips to his cheek in a lingering kiss. “Merry Christmas Dem” “Merry Christmas darling.”

Ghosts are Guilt? (Alec Volturi x Reader)
WARNING: Dark Themes!
Alec stared you down. You were sitting on the floor, your back to him. What immediately caught his eyes were the matching hand prints around your upper arms. They were a deep purple, and perfect imprints of hands. However they weren't from him. Despite that, you hadn't said a word since the incident and no one talked about what happened, seemingly carrying on as normal- or at least trying to. Everyone but you.
This was how you spent your days, sitting around never making eye contact and never saying a word. It had been a situation that very quickly became out of hand. You had tried to escape just as you had many times before and Alec as well at the Volturi had enough. Suddenly, Demetri grabbed you tightly, and much like he had done many times before to receptionists. He tossed you into a near by wall. It wasn't too far of a distance but you had hit your head pretty hard. Seemingly the point was made because you never tried to escape again. Although you also never said another word.
Alec did everything he could possibly think of to provoke you to speak to him. At first he let you sulk. He was determined to beat you at your own game...but you never let up. Alec tried to talk to you. No response. He got angry. Nothing. No matter how gentle or aggressive he was, you offered no response and continued to look dazed, as though not very present.
It was difficult to determine if you were more injured than thought and that's what provoked your behavior but as time passed, it seemed more likely that you were trying to punish everyone. Regardless, it had been weeks and Alec had about enough.
"You know, I've tried to be nice." Alec began. "Even felt sympathy for you. I was concerned when you got hurt. Yet this is the exact reason why you got hurt. This stubbornness, the sheer inability to do as your told got you in that situation. I told you not to try this, that you were lucky you were getting all these chances. Now here you sit, like a spoiled child in silence until you get your own way. What do you want!?" Alec began to raise his voice. You kept your back to him, in the same place on the floor you had been. "If you want to continue spending your days sulking like a child, you do that. The rest of us will be moving on without you!" He snapped.
After his outburst, Alec felt the anger wash away. He caught sight of the book you had left on his desk. He couldn't help but note that the book still lay open where you had last left it before the incident. You hadn't touched it since.
Alec caught on that something was wrong when four days passed and you hadn't moved. Even he had to leave the room to feed yet you hardly moved an inch from where you had sat previously. Furthermore, no one acknowledged you, no one wondered why you hadn't left the room in days. Soon enough, that day began to linger in his mind more than he'd have liked to admit.
“You know I wasn't just a space in your head. I am the flesh and bone and I bleed like the rest.” Something was off in your tone, but Alec couldn't place it. You had turned to look at him and were standing, despite not making any movement to do so previously. "What?" Alec asked quietly. You simply tilted your head, jaw clenched and staring at him. Your expression was almost expectant? However Alec had no idea what you expected from him. He ignored your words. "So you do know how to speak." Alec said icily. You looked at Alec, almost expectantly, with cold eyes. A stare that made it clear you'd hold no prisoners, show no mercy. "How long are we going to do this?" You asked. "How long are you going to pretend that I'm in this room, when we both know where i actually am?" Alec was taken aback, processing your words when his memory interrupted his confusion. The grate being opened that day. "They...they're not breathing." Alec said in disbelief. Demetri looked down at your body. Aro was summoned. "Get Chelsea." Aro said lightly. Alec shook away the thoughts.
“Erasing all your memories? Darling, they won't go so easily.” You chuckled darkly before scoffing. Alec would have to do better than that. As if you'd allow him to forget. Alec remembered Demetri dragging your body to the open grate. Just himself, Aro and Demetri present. His memory was interrupted with a scoff. "Oh come on Alec. See all those little lies, chase them away. Like you did the butterflies when you were human. The butterfly lies- chase them away. Be honest. You were never a liar, don't start now." You were right. Jane and Marcus were there too. Alec did nothing to stop Demetri. He watched it happen, like everyone else. Suddenly a whimper rang out in his ears. "I'm sorry!" He recognised your voice immediately.
Horror rushed though him and you seemed to sense it just as quickly. "Don't stop now." You smirked at him. "The Volturi don't give second chances. Remember?" There was a heavy silence between you. "What? Don't tell me you're remorseful now. I deserved it! Wasn't it satisfying hearing my skull cave in?" "Stop it!" Alec said quickly, your words reminding him of the crunch. "So you do feel guilt?" You laughed at Alec before taking a breath. "You know, I told you something once. Something I had heard. 'Ghosts are guilt.' Perhaps you took it more to heart than you thought." You tilted your head. "Are you trying to tell me you're a ghost?" Alec asked quietly and you snorted. "Of course not! You don't believe in them." “Does that matter?” Alec whispered. “Right now it does.” You responded. “So do you?” “No.” Alec said quietly. “Then think, why could i be here?” You leaned forward slightly. “I don’t know.” “You do.” You said flatly. “We both do. I know that you know. You just don’t want to think about it.”
There was a steady silence. “Where am I?” You asked. “In our room.” Alec responded with a frown. “Really? It’s colder than I remember.” You said casually. Somehow that last part didn't sit well with Alec. As though tugging on his mind but whatever it was, he didn't want to think about it. Not even a little. "I wouldn't know. I don't feel the cold...but there hasn't been a shift in temperature." Alec wanted to press you on the 'remember' part but before he could entertain the idea. You spoke up. "Oh, another symptom of your bad luck I suppose." Alec spared you a glance, thinking for a moment. "Immortality? That isn't bad luck." You wore a skeptical expression before challenging him. “Isn’t it bad luck? Isn’t it a curse? You’re forced to sit here, watch the rest of us come and go as the world changes for better or worse- the only consistent thing being that it’s never the same as it was in your time. You’re the permanent outsider, by choice, living to hide at that. So perhaps you’re not content with immortality. Instead, you’re sitting there, forcing yourself to believe it will be fine. The next century might be your lucky moment.” "Of course you wouldn't have a single idea what it is like to be immortal." Alec scoffed coldly. "I know what it is to be stuck. You made sure of that. Even then, I left you in the end. You let him rob me of tomorrow and the days after that." "What are you talking about?" Alec asked, getting increasingly annoyed by the guilt bubbling inside him, slowly rising. “Maybe for you there are countless tomorrows, but you stole mine. This day, has been endless to me. Days have passed for you but that’s how time works when you’re alive right? I am trapped in a very long day.” You sighed before narrowing your eyes on Alec, leaning forward again. "You know I never made it back to this room. So why don’t you say where (Y/N) really is?” As his mind flashbacks to the throne room, he couldn't help but notice you had spoken in the third person.
As though hearing his thoughts, you laughed with a condescending shake of your head. "Seriously? Catch up, Alec. You have all the pieces. So put them together." Alec hit a mental wall, unwilling to think back to the day just so that you could torture him. Your next words shook him to his core. “I’m you. Everything I say, isn’t (Y/N). You said it yourself, you said you don’t believe in ghosts. Everything we talk about, comes from your head and yours alone. These are your thoughts Alec. Although it seems that day never ended for us, so until you face this. I am (Y/n). Be honest with yourself and you’ll be rid of me...of (Y/N).” You smiled at him, a menacing smile. “So why don’t you say where (Y/N) really is?” Alec remembered it clearly.
The sound your body made, the thud as you hit the bottom...the bottom of the drain. "You left them down there. They are there right now. In the dark, in the cold. They're down there decaying away until those very strong chemicals eat away at them. Until there is nothing left of course. Just like the rest of them. If there is one thing we can say, at least it's consistent. All the humans end up down there in the end." You looked at him, or rather, he looked at himself. The one before him, retained your image despite the revelation. He wanted to pretend it was you. He wanted to pretend that he wasn't alone with the guilt. "There it is." You sighed. "The painful guilt. Once you realise what you've done, the consequences roll in. Here it is, our regret and guilt. The constant reminder of our (Y/N) and what we did. We let it happen. We're just as terrible." You rose to a stand. "Although we deserve this at the very least. We left (Y/N) in the dark and the cold down there...can't help but wonder if the chemicals got to them yet." You whispered the last part with a pained look. A reflection to the pain Alec was feeling. "This is the difficult part but it'll pass. They'll just be a memory soon. A memory we cant forget...everyone else can though. The others already have moved on." Alec winced slightly, recalling how no one, not even once, even mentioned you. “So it’s just you and me then.” You wore a small but tired smile. “Or...just you.” Marcus sat on his throne, silent as always. His brothers were talking away about matters he simply didn’t care about. His stare didn’t falter, but a small ghost of a grimace grew upon his face as though it pained him to look at the darkened, empty corner of the throne room. Although, for Marcus, it wasn’t so empty.
You and Didyme stood side by side, slightly tilted towards each other as though in conversation, all the while staring at him and unblinking. Both of you had wide grins on your faces. You had dark bruising around your upper arms and were very pale. Your eyes and cheeks sunken in slightly. Didyme had cracks along her neck that were so long they met her face and chest. Other than that, Didyme didn’t have a single hair out of place. You, on the other hand, looked disheveled. It was disturbing and how he wished you both would stop grinning at him. Didyme’s smile used to be a pleasant, as was yours upon occasion but this time, he wanted nothing more than for you both to stop smiling. It was as though you both were mocking him. Enjoying his guilt. He felt guilt that he couldn’t save Didyme and then he felt guilt that he didn’t save you. He allowed Alec to lose a mate and feel the suffering he had for all those years. How could he ever begin to forgive himself?

Summery: How will the Volturi react to their favorite human growing up?Rosalie becomes worried, how long will the reader remain human after some shocking news?
Volturi x reader
King x reader
AN: I really like this Gif of Rosalie, she looks so beautiful.I’m not spoiling which king i picked since the requester wanted to be surprised.Hope you like it! I have a special twist coming up in the next chapter so stay tuned! Love you all!
It had been 14 years since i first met the Volutri, the Cullens were surprised by how they treated me.But sadly i hadn't seen them in 5 years, they became distracted by a rogue vampire army in Germany that needed their full attention.Once they destroyed the army they were all eager to see me,they knew my 20th birthday was coming up so they invited all of us to Rome.I followed my siblings into the castle,i may have been the oldest but they still treated me like their little sister.I didn't mind it,whatever made them happy was okay in my book. They had sent me a beautiful gown that looked like something straight from Mary Antoinette's wardrobe.I heard heels clicking and looked ahead of us to see Alec and Jane running towards us.A happy grin spread across their faces when they saw me pull down my hood,"(Y/n)!" I weaved past my siblings and pulled the twins into a tight hug."I missed you guys so much!" Alec pulled away and looked me up and down."Wow,you've grown up a lot since we last saw you." I giggled."I can't believe you're going to be 20." I smiled at Jane."You're making me feel old!" Jane shook her head as she laughed."Come along, everyone is super excited to see you." I nodded and we followed as Jane and Alec led the way,i looked around at all of the agriculture,The castle was gorgeous and i felt strangely comfortable.I hid behind Emmett and jasper as Jane and Alec pushed open the doors to the throne room. Aro stood up with a smile,Marcus perked up and Caius looked at all of my siblings, they could me hear and smell me but they couldn't see my face other then my dress peeking out behind my brothers."Ah,the Cullens. We are so very glad you could all make it." Edward gave a small apologetic smile."Yes,a few members had to stay behind." He was referring to Carlisle and Esme, they stayed home with renesmee who wanted to stay with Jacob. Aro nodded and looked across the group,"And where is our little human?" Emmett and jasper stepped out of the way to reveal me,i giggled as i saw their eyes widen.Marcus's bored expression change to a wide smile, Even caius cracked a smile, but Aro,Aro was in complete shock.
He hadn't realized I'd grow up so fast, but here i was,a grown woman."Aro are you alright?" Aro quickly broke from his trance, not realizing he had been staring into my eyes the entire time."Ah..yes my dear,i am alright, you just surprised me." Marcus and caius appeared next to him. Caius noticed i wasn't wearing heels like my sisters,"Why do you insist on wearing flats?" I glanced at my shoes before looking up at him with a smile."I remembered how much you hate the sound of clicking heels so i decided to wear flats." Aro smiled at me."You are very considerate Cara Mia." I blushed lightly."It's nothing,Anyways,i was told that you all had a surprise for me,Alice and Edward wouldn't tell me anything." Marcus smiled down at me."We cannot tell you either,Just know that you need to stay in your room while we finish preparing it.Jane, will you and Alec watch over her?" Jane and Alec perked up and grabbed my hands."Now go on,I promise you'll love the surprise." Aro cooed.Jane and Alec led me past my siblings,i waved as they watched worriedly,Except for Edward and Alice who smiled and waved back.Marcus noticed the way Aro was watching me as i left with Jane,He used his powers and noticed the bond form between me and Aro.He gave Aro his hand,Aro looked at him in surprise.Edward clenched his jaw,he wasn't happy with Aro being my mate but he could tell from Alice's vision that we would be happy together, even if there were a couple obstacles."I see,What unexpectedly wonderful news." Rosalie furrowed her eyebrows."What is it brother?" Caius asked confused."Aro started a mating bond with (Y/n)." The others looked at Edward in shock."No!It can't be him! Anyone but him!" Rosalie growled.Demetri and Felix growled back at her, they were ready to fight."Rosalie calm down." Emmett held onto Rosalie, but she was livid."NO! I will not let you have her!" Caius growled."You do not have a choice, this is up to Aro and (Y/n)!" Jasper sent calming waves to everyone so that they'd calm down."I know she's always going to be our baby sister but she's old enough to make her own decisions."Rosalie glared at jasper,She knew he was right, but she couldn't stand the thought of someone as kind as me being with an old power hungry vampire."I won't accept this, but if she agrees then I'll allow her to be with you,but if you so much as hurt a single hair on her head we will hunt you down and rip you to pieces." Aro raised a brow,"If i ever hurt her i believe you all might need to wait in line to kill me,Everyone here would die for her." Felix,Demetri and the the other two kings nodded in agreement.
I walked around the room while Jane and Alec asked me questions."So,have you met anyone?" Alec smirked.I shook my head,"No....well..there's one man who I've liked for a very, very long time, but i doubt he'd see me as nothing but a child."Jane and Alec looked at each other then at me,"What is he like?" i smiled and sat on the couch in between them."He's a few inches taller then me,he's also vampire,he has gorgeous red eyes that i could stare into for days, his hair is as dark as night and soft to the touch. He's intelligent, kind, and gentle. When I'm with him it's as if the rest of the world disappears." I looked down at my hands with a smile on my face.Jane and Alec gave each other a knowing look, being vampires they heard the entire conversation from the throne room,"Why don't you confess? I'm sure this man will feel the same." Jane gave my hand a reassuring squeeze."Maybe, but what if he doesn’t? The rejection will hurt touch for me to bare." Alec rubbed my shoulder."He'd be crazy to ever reject someone as amazing as you." I kissed their cheeks and smiled."what would i ever do without you two?" Alec smiled back."You'll never have to know." Jane and Alec perked up,"Their ready,we need to blindfold you." I giggled as they blindfolded me and led me down the hall,"So this is how i die, blindfolded in a gorgeous castle." I heard a bunch of laughter, and one voice i recognized as Felix,"Very funny." I could smell a fresh scent of flowers.I was sat on a chair,"You may take off your blindfold Cara Mia." I heard Marcus say.I gently untied my blindfold and gasped when i opened my eyes.I was in a giant ball room surrounded by my family, there were fresh flowers and rose petals everywhere.I covered my mouth as tears fell down my cheeks,The Volturi’s smiles dropped as Aro ran to me."I am sorry,Is it that bad?We can fix it,anything you'd like." I laughed as i wiped my eyes."It's perfect,Thank you all so much." There were a few sighs of relief. Aro kissed my hand,”I am so happy to hear that Cara Mia,You scared me for a moment there.” i giggled as he helped me stand.”Sorry,Wouldn’t want you to have a heart attack, would we?” i teased with a smirk. Aro leaned in a bit more,”Only from you my queen.” He chuckled as my face turned red.”This is your night,Let us celebrate.” i smiled and nodded,he held my hand as he led me to the others. This night would be one of my happiest and most treasured memories,if only i knew what waited for me the morning after.

My secret place-Lightwood family x reader
Masterlist HERE
Wattpad HERE
This is a about the 2nd youngest lightwood who feels like they’re being ignored. Its just a bit long. Sorry not sorry. Hope you enjoy.
Ever since I was born i’ve been in someone else’s shadow. Im (Y/N) Lightwood. Im 3 years younger than Alec, 2 years younger than Izzy and Jace and 5 years older than Max. Since im not the youngest Mum and Dad don't pay me as much attention as Max needs but im also not old enough to make my own decisions or go on solo missions (according to my older siblings anyway.). Now that Clary, Simon and Magnus are here its worse.
I always loved sketching but im not that good at it (in my/your opinion anyway) and don't really show it off. One day at the institute we were all sitting in a spare room we (mainly me/you) had converted to a mundane style living room. I was sitting on the floor (there were no seats left) and Clary noticed me drawing and looked over my shoulder to see. “Oh cute! You draw too, let me see.” she said not giving me time to stop her before she had already took my sketch book. She started flicking through and my siblings all looked through it as well. “Your good for your age.” Clary smiled. She meant it as a compliment but it made me feel small, like a child. I snatched it out her hands muttering a “Thanks” “Hey why dosent Clary give you lessons (Y/N)?” Jace suggested. “Yeah totally!” Clary said. I just smiled and nodded before excusing myself to go the bathroom. Instead I went to my secret spot in the institute.
I was always one upped by someone else. Its so annoying. Anything I like or do someone else does better. I play (Your fav instrument) and Simon's in a band. I like make up but Magnus is a god at it. Jace, well Jace is quite literality the best shadow hunter of his age, so no matter how good I get at (your fav weapon) he’s the best over all. Since Izzy's so beautiful I try to style my outfits to live up to my siblings but she's always jaw dropping with boys fawning over her. And Alec is the leader. Its kind of understandable because he's the oldest but he's always painted as the responsible one no matter how sensible I try to be.
I cant even use the fact im younger as an advantage because max is 5 years younger than me. And he likes reading (manga but it counts) so im not the reader, he is. Yesterday I had finnaly convinced Mum to let me go on a solo mission and Alec crashed it. I had got into gear and was going to get my (your fav weapon) and 2 seraph blades from the weapons rack when I saw Alec ruining his arrows. “Hey” I said grabbing my weapon. He nodded his head. As I was reaching for a Seraph blade I asked “Are you going on a solo mission or something?” slightly confused because Jace had told me they were having a day off and that's why I got the mission. “No, im going with you.” He said putting his quiver over his shoulder. “Eh no your not,” I laughed slightly. “Its just a small mission so Mum said I could fly solo.” I went to walk out but he followed. “Tough luck. You never know how big a mission is until you get there” I stopped now we were just out of the doors. “No Alec, its just to kill a few imps that are gathering round a mundie school” I said rolling my eyes and walking away. “They're still dangerous if there's a lot of them.” He pointed out. “Only if they are a swarm of at least two hundred. But they only reported twenty of them.” I said frustrated. “You never now.” By the angel this is annoying. I just stayed quiet and went along with it. We did the mission in under half an hour and were heading back to the institute.
I had went on a couple of group missions with the gang and now it was approaching my birthday. Not approaching, it was today. No one had said anything and it was going to be dinner time in an hour. My older siblings went out on a mission this morning but still weren't back. Mum and Dad had to go back to Idris for something, but wouldn't tell me, and had taken Max. I was training when I decided to find out if they would want me to make dinner for them or not. (I cooked but not as good as mum so no one really noticed.)
Hey Sis, do you want me to save some of my b-day dinner for you guys or no?
I added the bit about my birthday to make sure they remembered. About 10 minuites later she finnaly texted back. No. Come down to Taki’s and have dinner with us I sighed. I had already cooked dinner for everyone and now woldnt get to eat it.
K. When? She told me now so I put the (favorite food) in a container with a note saying not to eat it and left.
By the time I got there they had already ordered and had gotten me a cheese burger and fries. They had pushed two tables together. One of four and one of two with a chair stuck on the end. Guess that ones for me. “Hey guys,” It was Simon, Clary and Jace on one side with Jace beside me. On the other side was Izzy, Alec and Magnus on the other with Magnus next to me. “Hey (Annoying Nickname)” Simon grinned at me as I sat down. I just grimmaced as the others laughed. “Happy Birthday,” Clary said reaching under the table to grab a plastic bag. “we got you some stuff. I didn't wrap it though cause I suck at it.” she grinned, passing me the bag. Inside was a sketch book, coloured pencils and normal pencils. “Now Clary can give you lessons with decent stuff,” Jace said, proudly “I got you a new seraph blade but its back at the institute.” of course the best shadow hunter got you a weapon. “Max told me you like to read so here.” Simon passed me a couple comics and I thanked him, not pointing out it was Max into comics and mangas. “I got you some new clubbing clothes but their back at the institute.” Alec frowned at the idea of you in clubbing clothes and I was slightly scared of seeing them but said cool none the less. “You will not be going clubbing anytime soon.” Alec gave me a pointed look I just rolled my eyes while Magnus muttered something about teenage angst. The he snapped his fingers and a box appeared in his hands. It was beautiful wrapped. “This is how a gift should be presented,” he looked around the table, eyes settling on Clary before handing me the box. “They're you go kitten” I tried to smile but that nickname. The others sniggered as I opened the box. Inside was a bunch of eyeliners, eye shadows and lipsticks. All bright. Mostly glittery. They had all gotten me the things they liked. “Thanks” I said putting it on the ground next to my chair with my other presents. We started eating and I zoned out. I couldn't help but think about how they had all gotten me something they liked. Clary with art. Jace, a weapon. Simon, comics. Izzy, clothes probably showing way to much skin. Magnus, glittery and bold make-up. And Alec, nothing at all. Same with mum and dad. I sound so spoiled thinking about it but I couldn't help it. They didn't ask what I wanted, or gave me stuff I would actually wanted. They didn't invite me out to dinner before I asked. They hadn't talked to me all day and had told me to meet them for food I didn't like that much instead of eating the food I made at home as a family. “Hey (Y/N/N), what you thinking about.” Alec said snapping me from my thoughts. I just muttered “nothing” not looking up, knowing they had all stopped talking to look at me. “It dosent look like nothing,” Izzy said looking at me questioningly. “You could break the fork with that grip.” I looked down and noticed I had grabbed the fork by the handle and was squeezing as hard as I could. I dropped the fork and noticed there was a small cut because of how tight I had been holding it. “(Y/N) what's wrong?” Clary asked. I snapped. “You!” she recoiled looking like she was about to cry. “All of you! You got me the things you liked for my birthday! I was alone all day at home. I made a special dinner and even a cake because I didn't think any of you were going to come home for a while. Im always in your shadows and the back of your minds that you just don't care! You refuse to call the institute home and you treat me like im a child and im sick of it!” I realised my voice had risen and that people were starting to look. I could feel me eyes tearing up and I wanted to get out of there. I scrapped my chair back and ran out.
I went straight home and to my secret place. It was an old abandon room on the highest floor. To get to it you had to go through a hatch in the cupboard of our mundie style living room, and climb up a ladder 2 stories high. I had snuck blankets and pillows up and had made a little set up in one of the corners. I had figured out a way to run electricity up here and fixed the over head light even though I mainly used the fairy lights in the corner. It was basically a blanket fort in the corner. I stored some of my private stuff up here and would play my (your instrument). I also could train up her without others seeing. Laying down face forward on my makeshift bed while my phone was blaring. I checked and saw that they were asking were I was. They thought I went back to the institute and now they couldn't find me. I debated telling them were my hiding spot was so I just texted Alec back saying, My secret place
3rd pov Alec was in the ‘mundie living room’ as he and his siblings always said to annoy (Y/N) when he saw his phone dinged and that (Y/N) had texted him. He immediately shouted on the guys saying to come over. They all looked at his phone. “What do you think she means?” Jace asked looking confused. “Yeah ive never heard of a secret place.” Izzy said looking round the four. Magnus and Simon had went home deciding it would just cause a scene with two downworlders running round the institute but had said they would look around before going home. “I think that's why it says secret Izzy.” Clary said receiving a scowl from the Lightwood girl. “Well as she said we don't really talk to her a lot.” Alec said taking his phone back from Jace. “Don't say tha-” “Its true,” Alec cut his parabatai off “we are always concerned with something else or with her safety that we never actually talk to as friends.” (Y/N) had climbed down the ladder to were the trap door to the closet was and had put on a hearing rune. She was happy to finnaly see one them noticing. She decided to let one of them in.
Go into the closet. Don't tell the others and don't talk.
‘Weird’ Alec thought but none the less complied. “Guys maybe you should go check around the institute” he suggested. The rest nodded and they all left the room and split up. 10 seconds later he came back in and opened the closet and went inside, closing the door behind him. He looked up confused and saw a opened trap door and ladder. He then saw how the boxes under the trap door so that someone shorter could reach the ladder. He didn't need the boxes so instead just started climbing.
(Y/N) pov I had just sat back down in my makeshift bed when I heard Alec starting to climb. The rune started fading off so I just laid back thinking if im going to regret this. After about 2 minutes Alec arrived and climbed out. He looked around before finnaly seeing me lying on my stomach looking over at him. He walked over and sat down beside me. He wasn't looking at me but instead my secret place. Obviously there was the blanket fort but at one side of the room was a training set up and in another corner some shelves that were up here when I found it that I had used for storage. He also noticed how I had an old, small mundie TV set up with a stack of VHS tapes that I had got from a charity shop. “So this is your secret place? Not bad.” he said finally looking at me. “Thanks. Its not much but its mine.” He frowned slightly at that. I laid my head in my arms and looked up at him. “You can lie down in my fortress, if you take your shoes off. Get it dirty and I'll kill you.” I looked at him seriously and he just rolled his eyes and smiled before taking his boots and jacket off. He laid down on his front next to me but had to bend his legs to fit him all in. I started laughing at him. “You’re like a spaghetti noodle.” I said between laughs and he started laughing too. We got quiet and then he started talking. “Why do you have a secret place? Do you not like hanging out with us?” I sighed. “I do its just that…. You guys steal all my things and do them better.” I huffed making Alec look at me confused. “Not actual things. I mean how I would sketch and then Clary came in like Van Gogh and suddenly I need lessons on something I do for fun. And Izzy is the stylish one, Jace is the best fighter, Magnus is the best at make up, Simon is the musical one even though I play (Your instrument). Then Max is the one who like to read and your the dull, sensible one.” “Thanks!” Alec rolled his eyes. “Everything I do someone else is doing better. Even cooking and Izzy’s my sister.” I laid my face into the blankets. “Yeah but Mum is the one everyone thinks is the best.” Alec laid down flat on his back next to me and took my hand, holding it. “but you are one who’s good at a lot of things. You might not be the best at everything but you must be the best at something.” “Like what?” I said muffled through blankets, tears starting to slip. “Like (your favourite hobby) and (what your good at). None of us are good at everything but you know how to do a lot. Hell you've made this den and its awesome. None of us have one. And you make the institute feel like a home, even with your ‘mundie living room’.” I turned my head towards him. “How come you never call the institute home?” “I don't know,” he wiped the couple of tears on my face away. “Im just used to calling it the institute.” he looked down at his phone before saying, “Can I text the others? Not to tell them where we are” he added noticing my worried expression, “Just so they know your safe. Ok?” “Yeah sure.” He texted them before asking “Were did you even get half this stuff? And how do you have electricity?” I laughed at his confusion. “When you guys leave me out on missions I go out to the mundie shops. I got most of it from second hand shops. The tapes, blankets and some of the pillows are from there. I wash them first.” I added seeing his disgust. “the TV's from some yard sale. The shelves were already here and the some of the training stuff. Everything else was from around the institute mainly. Or maybe a normal mundane shop.” “How could you afford it? And what about the power?” “Well for to begin with it was the money I had saved that Mum and Dad gave me. Then I realised you guys didn't rely seem to check your money or use it much so sometimes I ‘borrowed’ some.” “(Y/N)! Thats stealing! From your own family.” He exclaimed. “Well you never seemed to notice or care.” I said rolling my eyes. “Whatever. But who did you get to set up the lights and TV?” he asked looking at the TV with a confused face. “I did.” he looked shocked, “It was rely quite simple. Just had to go on the system and send some power up here. The I ran some cable over her so I could plug in the fairy lights and TV. Don't know how to get normal TV but that's what the tapes are for.” “Im impressed.” he picked up the top tape and looked at me. “(Favourite Disney movie), what's that?” “Lets just watch it. Ok?” he just shrugged and layed down. I put the movie in and lifted up a blanket at the back of the fort revealing a pile of snacks. I threw out a bag of popcorn and some other sweets and chocolate before turning to Alec and saying, “these I stole from the kitchen.” “Now that I can get on board with.”
We watched the movie and a few others before falling asleep up in my secret place. From then on it was mine and Alec’s secret place and at least once a week we would stay up there and watch old VHS tapes. He ended up buying more videos and looking how to get mundie TV up there. He also gave me my present when we woke up in the morning, having realised we had fallen asleep, he had got me a mundane laptop. It turned out to be quite useful as we could watch Netflix on it. But we still liked to use the tapes too. We were thinking about telling the others about it but we didn't. It was our secret fortress and no one would break in.

Request: A Child’s Imagination (Female!Reader x Aro Volturi)
WARNING: Character death mentions!
"What do you think? A boy or a girl?" You asked, trailing your fingers over the small bump that was your stomach, leaning back in your seat for better access. Aro leaned against the arm of the seat, smiling fondly at your stomach. "I can't say I know, Cara Mia." "Come on!" You pressed with a playful smile. "Pick one. You'll love them just as much either way." "I am inclined to say a son for reasons I was raised with that are significantly unnecessary and outdated as of this time. Although a daughter would be just as lovely." You smiled lovingly at Aro. "You'd spoil her rotten, you spoiled the twins after all." Aro smirked. "Isn't every child spoiled after several centuries of gifts?" You paused. "That's true. Although you know exactly what I'm talking about. I think that if our baby were to be a girl or a boy. You'd spoil them just as you did the twins." You said. "It's not always a bad thing." Aro smiled slightly. "And your answer, my dear?" You hummed. "A girl. I can only imagine all the battles i’d lose if it were you and our son against me. The men of our large family." You grinned and Aro chuckled. "We only do what's best." He responded before kissing the top of his head. "What would you name them?" You asked him, in sudden deep thought. "Aro, please don't tell me you're going to insist we name our baby some name that's older than dinosaurs." Your eyes widened in dread. "I need to be able to say the name!" Aro chuckled. "Well why don't you give me a name and we'll compare?" You paused. "Nate for a boy? Aiden?" "No, it looks like I'll be naming our son because those names are terrible. For a girl?" You hummed. "Charlotte? Evelyn? I'm trying to go a bit more classic for you." You giggled. "Those two are...decent." Aro said with no enthusiasm. "Meaning you aren't too fond of those either." You laughed. "Alright, what about you then? Girl and boy names." "Cleisthenes-" "I'm sorry, what?" Your tracing stopped as an incredulous look moved across your face. "I don't even know how to say what you just said never mind spell that." "It means Glory and Strength. See names in my era actually had meaning." Aro smiled slyly. "So does my era." You laughed. "We just care less about the meaning and more about if we can spell it and if we can say it. Pick again." You continued to giggle as Aro rolled his eyes. "Heliodoros." You said nothing but pressed him further. "Two girl names?" "Artemisia or... Eumelia." Aro responded. "...It appears we'll be having a lot of discussions for baby names." You giggled to yourself.
Somehow the two of you made a deal. If a girl, you'd choose two baby names that the two of you would pick which was preferred. The same going if the baby was a boy. Then Aro would pick two names for you both to reach a decision on. When the birth arrived, the baby was a boy and Aro made the decision alone on the boys name. However it wasn't the two names he had first said. "Archelaus." Aro had told his brothers. "The people's ruler'." Caius responded with an eyebrow raised. He seemed almost impressed. "How fitting." Marcus drawled.
"Aro, it's time. You need to decide." Caius said as he hovered over you. Aro tore his eyes away from the baby, yet to be cleaned, but bundled in a towel. He looked at his son momentarily, a flash of doubt in his eyes. Yet he said nothing. Caius stared Aro down as Aro looked at you. You were seconds away from your heart stopping altogether.
Finally Aro shook his head. Caius nodded and Aro left the room, with his newborn son in his arms. There was a sickening crack as Caius mumbled to a guard about ensuring you wouldn't suffer any longer. It was as of Caius considered that a gift. Your heart stopped and perhaps by coincidence, your son began to cry in Aro's arms. "Mio figlio." Aro cooed in a soft voice. "Everything is alright."
Aro moved into the next room, Renata already waiting for Aro's next instruction, as always. She had always been the most rigid of the Volturi and in a constant state of internal stress whilst her face appeared void of emotion. Then again, that's what made her a good guard and one Aro trusted with his life. She was constantly on the look out for danger. "Might I ask you get him cleaned up, my dear?" Aro asked lightly and Renata nodded immediately moving forward to take the baby from Aro as gently as she could.
When Renata moved into the closest bathroom, Aro left the room and returned to the room you had given birth in. "They didn't feel it." Caius assured Aro, who nodded in thanks. Caius stepped back, giving Aro some more room with you. Aro ran his fingers through your hair. "Thank you, my dear. Our son will be remarkable, I assure you. I have no doubt you would have been wonderful." Aro leaned in closer towards you, his head hovering over yours. "I'm sorry, my dear." Aro kissed your forehead and closed your eyes with his hand. This hadn't been the first time he had decided to sacrifice those he loved for his goals and no one really knew if it could have been the last.
Your son didn't seem very affected by your passing. Aro figured it was that he really didn't know you when it came down to it. Although that thought was sad, you had loved your son in the end of the universe.
Aro saw you curled up in a blanket, running your fingers along your stomach. You had always got little nudges in return. Your stomach softly nudging back at you. You had looked at your bump adoringly the whole time you were showing and when alone, always telling your unborn son how much you loved him. "I'll always love you."
You did it more so when there was chances you wouldn't survive. So therefore it was no longer just bonding with your unborn child, it was telling him and loving him for every moment you had, in case any of those would be the last. You had hoped he'd remember you if the worst came to be- if you didn't survive the birth.
There was a pang of sorrow in Aro’s chest. Sorrow for you and sorrow for his son. Aro had really loved you. He had no doubt and he loved his son too, appreciated the gift you had given him. The greatest gift he had ever received. Although he had planned that gift for himself. He had plans for himself, the Volturi and his son. Gaining more power, it was always the plan. Your son was a part of that plan. However you were not and in the end, whilst his love for you was strong, it wasn't enough to discard centuries of plans, reputation and centuries of work. So he let you die, but he made you were comfortable. He had Alec numb your senses, you wouldn't have known when you slipped away and you wouldn't have felt a thing. A peaceful end. Your legacy beginning as you departed from the world with Aro's love and gratitude.
Aro kneeled down to Klaus' level faced with answering his son just where his mother had gone. "Such matters are very difficult to tell children- to relay in words that they understand." Aro said softly as he held his son's hands in his own. "Your mother passed away and she's not coming back. She left this world with so much love for you, little one. The last thing she wanted was to say goodbye to you. However these things happen sometimes." Aro paused, searching his son's thoughts, trying to piece together if perhaps Klaus understood even a little bit. "Archelaus..." Aro said quieter, looking into his son's eyes. "Your mother isn't coming home." Aro let go of his son's hands. "She'll always be in here, with you." Aro patted his son's chest lightly, just where his heart sat beating a little faster than before. Klaus, barely looking two years old, looked away from Aro putting his thumb near his mouth as he looked around the room. Although Aro's heart would have shattered if it hadn't already stopped so very long ago. Tears ran down his son's face, his eyes moving back to his father. There was no sound, nothing. Aro couldn't bring himself to say anything, simply watching his son. He wasn't sure what exactly made his son think about you but he seemed to be growing aware of his surroundings, so much so that he is noticing people who are missing from what he remembered. Vampires couldn't cry. No tears could ever fall but to see tears run down his son's face reminded him that his son wasn't just half vampire. He was half human, half you. The human in him cried for the loss of his mother. Aro couldn't help but wonder if you'd have cried too, seeing your son try to understand why he couldn't hear his mother's voice anymore. The moment was brief and ended as quickly as it had began. He had never wondered about his mother before that day and he didn't after that day either. Almost as though Archelaus had forgotten and Aro figured that perhaps it would have been better that way.
Aro was hoping that Archelaus would meet Renesmee Cullen and when the opportunity arose, he jumped on it. It worked well, checking in on Renesmee's progress, effort to rekindle his friendship with Carlisle and his son meets someone like him who's close to his age. "Some friends of ours are coming for a brief visit since they're passing by." Aro said fixing Klaus' collar. "They have a little girl who is like you, half human and half vampire." Klaus looked up at his father before nodding. "Would you be willing to keep her company while she's here? I believe she'd be a wonderful friend." Aro asked. Klaus nodded. "Yes, father."
The two children had ended up in Klaus' room. Klaus having his toy train in hand whilst Renesmee flicked a switch repeatedly to change the lanes. Whilst Klaus knew Renesmee's name, he had yet to introduce himself, giving off the impression he was a rather quiet boy who more than likely kept to himself. Then again, Aro couldn't help but consider perhaps it was due to being around someone who was close to his age. Renesmee was older but it wasn't noticeable in the childrens appearance. "When I get older, I want to travel on a train just like this one!" Renesmee said brightly. "Like the ones in Europe!" "Where would you go?" Klaus asked almost absentmindedly. "I don't know. I just like the thought of getting on a train to anywhere, going wherever I want at the time. So I promised myself that one day I would." "By yourself?" "Yeah!" She grinned. "Unless Jacob says he has to go too. He doesn't like the thought of me going anywhere alone." She looked almost disheartened and Klaus picked up on it. "I know the feeling. I overheard my father and uncles saying I may never get to leave here. At least not alone.” "Would you want to?" Renesmee tilted her head in curiosity. Klaus shrugged. "Maybe. I'd like to see what's out there, I think." Renesmee gasped. "You should come with me! When we're older! We should go together! Wherever we like!" Klaus was surprised. "Really?" "Yeah!" She grinned. "You should tell me your name if we're going to be friends!" "Friends?" Klaus repeated, surprised at how quickly the conversation had escalated. "Of course!" "My name is...a little strange." Klaus admitted. Even he knew his name was a mouthful bit then again, so was 'Renesmee'. "They like to give us strange names, don't they?" Renesmee cracked a smile. "My name was two names mashed together." She said almost bashfully. "Although, I'm mostly called Nessie." "Nessie? As in...?" Klaus tilted his head, trailing off and Renesmee nodded. "...like the monster. Although it wasn't intend as an insult." "My name is Archelaus. It means 'the people's ruler'...but in the human world and some call me Klaus for short." He responded. "What would you prefer I called you?" Renesmee asked. He lightly shrugged. "Klaus is fine." "Nice to meet you Klaus." "Likewise...Renesmee." "I don't mind if you call me Nessie." She smiled and Klaus' mouth twisted. "I'm sorry but I really can't call you that." Renesmee giggled. "That's okay." "Can I ask you something?" Klaus asked. "Sure!" Renesmee smiled brightly. "Do your parents call you that? " She giggled at the thought. "No! My mum hates it, my dad doesn't like it but my uncle's think it's pretty funny." She paused momentarily. "Does your dad call you by your full name?" Klaus nodded. "Yes. As do my uncle's. Most of the guard call me Klaus though...unless my father and uncles are around."
After another moment of silence, Klaus spoke up. "My father says you're gifted." Renesmee nodded. "Wanna see?" "How?" He asked. "Like this!" Renesmee cupped a hand to his cheek and he went rigid, startled by her sudden movement.
Flashes of images rushed through his mind and he began to realise that this was Renesmee's story, showing others her abilities before himself. "Woah..." He said quietly. "Do you have a gift?" She asked. Klaus shrugged looking down. "Don't you ask your mum and dad?" "I think my father would have told me if I did but...my mother died when I was born. I can't ask her." "Oh...I'm sorry." Renesmee said sadly with a sympathetic expression. "It's okay. You know the feeling. I saw it. Your mother nearly died too." Renesmee nodded. "Yes. She was lucky. At least that's what my dad says." Klaus lightly shrugged but nodded. "Do you miss her?" Renesmee asked. "No...I mean, sometimes I do but I just think about how much I love her and that she loves me the same."
Klaus looked up hearing the door open to be met with Jane. Klaus simply looked back down at his toy train absentmindedly. “Hello, I heard you talking about your mother.” Jane moved to stand in front of him.Klaus paused. “Would you tell me about her?” Jane asked. "I think I see her sometimes." Klaus quietly and Jane joined him on the floor. Klaus continued to play with his toy train. "Not all the time, only when I miss her the most." Klaus added with a small smile. However Jane could see his sad eyes and understood it. Children like Klaus, children like herself and her brother, they should never have such sad eyes. Yet they did. "Would you tell me about it?" She asked. "Well, I think it's her. I look her at her and somehow I just know that it's my mother. She's always happy to see me. She has a pretty smile." Klaus added, quickly glancing at Jane who smiled slightly in response. "She does?" Klaus nodded. "I talk to her sometimes. She doesn't say much back but that's okay. I asked her once, if I could keep her." "Oh? Did she answer?" Jane asked softly. "She said I could. That she'd always be with me, even when I can't see her." Klaus was completely unaware of the sadness Jane had begun to feel. When Jane's mother died, she wasn't able to face it, being a newborn and learning to trust Aro. After a couple of years, Jane began to think about her mothers death. It reinforced how alone she was and how alone she had always been. Although now she had lost someone, making her life even more empty than it had ever been before.
It had been Athenodora who comforted Jane and Alec as best as she could. Although all she could say was that their mother would have been relieved to know her children had survived and were safe. Klaus didn't get this same conversation, yet it seemed as though he didn't need it. He had found a way to cope on his own. Or at least, that's all Jane could hope. She couldn't help but wonder if Klaus didn't hear you say much was because he didn't really know you. It was clear ghosts didn't exist. Yet he had created someone in his head that he assumed was you and would respond in his interpretation of what you would have said rather than what you actually would have said. Perhaps that silence he received by his imaginary friend was Klaus not knowing what his mother would say and so no response would be given. "Does it make you sad sometimes?" She asked. "Not really." Klaus looked up at Jane again with a slight smile. "I know my mother loves me and that's all that matters really."
When Caius entered the room, he entered a war zone. For once, Marcus was mentally and physically present in the room. He was angry. Not only that, angry and arguing with Aro. Both Marcus, and Aro had pitch black eyes and it didn't take long to recognise just what they were arguing about. "I don't need to sympathize to you!" Marcus snapped. "You chose this! You did this to yourself, you did it to her and you did it to your son! You decided she wouldn't be changed so I won't have any sympathy for you because I know I sure as hell did not choose my loss!" "Everything I have ever done, was for this coven!" Aro seethed through a clenched jaw. "(Y/N) would have been apart of that. Spare me your words Aro. You let her die because she didn't fit your goals. You never even consulted us, this decision, and rightly so, was on you. You knew for months where this was going and you made your choice!" Aro scoffed. "You make it sound so easy. Then again, when have you ever made a difficult decision in your life Marcus?" Aro responded icily. "I loved (Y/N) with everything I had and my decision to let her go was not easy. If you cared so much then you wouldn't have sat there for all those months knowing she'd die!" Marcus was immediately on his feet, standing feet away from Aro. "I watched that girl die. You should have been where I was standing. I told her she had a healthy son and my face was the last thing she saw and it should have been you! Furthermore, I was by her side as she gave birth because you weren't there!" Aro snarled before Caius intervened. "Enough!" Caius snapped, stepping in between the two men. "We all knew this would happen. What we didn't know was that Aro would grow attached. Now let me make myself quite clear." Caius began coldly. "(Y/N) died loved and appreciated by Aro and held many of the guards hearts. She was wonderful and she died. We all know that many women have died in childbirth in our time. She brought Archelaus into this world and passed away. Before she could suffer, I killed her. She felt nothing and wasn't alone! We cannot and will not destroy ourselves with the 'what ifs'. We all did what we did and now we live with it because that boy needs it. He is what matters now!" The situation de-escalated greatly after this but Caius continued. "Aro, I understand you are in pain and Marcus is the only one here that knows that pain. So why don't you be help one another with that pain and not use it to tear each other apart?" Marcus and Aro stared at each other before they both back down in unison. "Make me the mediator one more time and I kill you both." Caius growled. "Honestly...see the gift (Y/N) gave you both. Memories, a son and a nephew. Could you even fathom what she'd be thinking right now seeing you both like this!?"
When night had fallen, Archelaus was taken to bed with his usual nightly routine. Renata was the one who took him to bed this particular night. The guard took turns and later Aro himself would check in on him. As usual Aro received a good report that Archelaus was in bed which left Aro a couple of free hours before he checked in. He spent those hours properly patching things up with Marcus, the two understanding each other by the time he was done. Thankfully the two were able and willing to overlook the incident.
Aro couldn't help but frown slightly. It was in the middle of the night, the lights were off in many of the rooms down the wing where Klaus stayed. It was to help him sleep, even the lights for the hall were off. It helped the illusion that everyone was asleep at the same time he was. Even though it wasn't necessary, Aro figured it may appeal to his human side.
However, instead of sleeping he wasn't even in that wing. Aro found his son on the floor below his room in one of the many rooms that had a TV in it. Aro figured his son was sneaking in some TV time or playing when regardless he should have been asleep in bed. However Aro stopped, before reaching the doorway, hiding in the shadows and out of sight.
His son giggled again, arms stretched out at nothing and grinning up at something Aro couldn't see. A excited squeal escaped his son and Aro blinked. Suddenly, his son was no longer alone. Someone lifted him into the air, spinning him before setting him down before spinning with him. That someone looking an awful lot like you. "I'll always love you." Aro heard your voice whisper with an echo. Aro blinked again and suddenly you were gone, his sons giggling dying down. It seemed he could no longer see you either, hands dropping to his sides.
Aro moved closer unable to really pinpoint an emotion, many swirling and battling for the spotlight. His son turned to look at Aro and fully expected to get a scolding at the very least, however it never came. Aro slowly entered the room, barely making a sound and sparing a glance to the empty space you were previously in. Aro looked down at him with a soft expression. "Was that your mother?" He asked quietly. Klaus looked nervous, looking down at his hands. "It's alright Archelaus, I saw it too." Aro explained. "I miss her sometimes." Klaus finally spoke. "When I think of her, after a while, she comes to see me." "Oh?" Aro tilted his head. Klaus continued. "I mean, I know it's not really her. I like to pretend she's here and if I'm patient, she's comes to see me." "Can you show me?" Aro asked holding out his hand.
Klaus slowly put his hand in Aro's. He was right, this wasn't the first time. He remembered what you looked like, his imagination doing the rest of the work. Whenever he found himself thinking of her, longing for her presence. She'd come to see her son. Of course it became very apparent this was simply his impression of her, Klaus' imagination building the pieces to replicate his mother as best as he could along with what he hoped she'd be like.
"I'm sorry I got out of bed, father." Klaus said quietly. "That's alright little one." Aro said, unable to punish his son after discovering his son's gift. "We'll take you back to bed." Before leading his son away, he pulled his son into him, bending ever so slightly to hold his son closer.
Aro had always wondered how his son dealt with topic of his mother although could never bring himself to venture into his son's thoughts for you. However, he held comfort in knowing that his son had found peace and comfort to cope with your passing. He had no doubt that his son would have questions about why you weren't saved when he grew up but he could live with that. He could live with the spare time, your son had unknowingly given him.

Unloved and Unwanted?
Word Count: 3,628 Felix x reader Part Three - Final Part Warnings: Fluff Angst
The following day Y/N goes to the carnival with Felix, Demetri and Heidi; the twins tagging along “We like a good Carnival and as it’s overcast outside so it’s perfect for us” Jane says smiling taking Y/N’s hand in hers as they all make their way out of the castle. “What do you like about Carnivals Y/N?” Alec asks falling in step with his sister and Y/N “The rides are cool especially the Haunted House. Another thing I like is Candy Floss, it’s really sweet but also really nice” She replies smiling, Felix listened paying attention to Y/N’s response. “What about you guys, what do you like about Carnivals?” “I like the Rollercoasters” Alec replied “I like the Waltzer ride and it’s funny to see the humans looking sick afterwards” Jane replies smiling.
Once at the Carnival Felix and Demetri headed straight for the ‘Shooting Gallery’ booth “This is where the competition begins Y/N” Heidi says as they follow them. Felix hits eight of the nine ‘targets’ whereas Demetri hits all nine ‘targets’ winning him a prize; Demetri chooses a ‘Minion’ toy dressed in a Maid’s outfit and hands it to Heidi “Another one for your collection cara” He says smiling “Thank you Demetri” She responds taking the toy. Next they head to the ‘Water Pistol’ booth and again Demetri knocks down more ‘targets’ than Felix “You’re making me look bad D” Felix says to Demetri as he chooses a stuffed Dog toy “Can’t help that Fe” Demetri replies handing the toy to Jane “The next prize is for you Y/N” Demetri points to her, giving her a playful smirk and a wink; Felix growls “Oh behave Fe” Demetri says tapping his friend’s chest. “Let’s go on some rides, you two can resume your competition later” Jane says as she gently pulls Y/N towards the Waltzer; Jane bursts into a fit of giggles when she notices the humans looking queasy once the ride is over “You’re mean” Y/N says smiling to Jane “I know” She smiles back. Felix smiles watching his mate get along with the Terror Twins.
They all go on a few more rides before Felix notices a ‘Test your strength’ booth “Watch me kick your ass at this one” Felix says to Demetri “We’ll see Mr I’m the World’s Strongest Vampire” Demetri says smirking; Y/N chokes back a laugh. Demetri goes first “I’ll show you how it’s done” He wins and true to his word he gives Y/N a stuffed Tiger “For you cara” He smiles at her and winks at Felix smirking “Thank you Demetri” “You’re such a wind-up” Heidi says shaking her head at Demetri.
Not to be outdone Felix steps up next and beats Demetri’s strength score winning a bigger toy, he picks out a white and grey bear “This is for you Y/N” He says softly handing her the toy “Th-Thank you Felix” Y/N gave him a smile “Show off” Demetri snorts “Just showing my strength can be used for other things than just my job” Felix says smiling at Y/N “You going to have a go Alec?” Heidi asked “Er no! Especially as Felix has just set a new high score” Alec replied “Wuss” Felix coughed out causing the others to laugh.
Next Felix decided he was going to the ‘Hit-The-Bell’ booth so he could show off his prowess further to Y/N. “Won’t he break it? You know because he’s…so strong?” Y/N asked “Not if he’s careful and reigns it in a bit” Heidi answers. Felix couldn’t help laughing at the human man in front of him when he took his go and the ball only made it half up to the bell “Alec would you like to go before me, surely you can do better than that” Felix said low to Alec, nodding in the human’s direction “Get fucked!” Alec said “Oi! Language. There are kids about” Heidi scolded lightly; Alec didn’t answer, he just glared at her. Felix took his go and of course hit the bell with ease winning another prize; he chose a Penguin in ski clothes and handed it to Y/N “For me?” She asked “Yes…Y/N” He replied softly “Thank you.” Demetri took his turn next and won a prize too; he selected a ‘Minion’ in a Hawaiian outfit “Another for your collection cara” He handed it to Heidi “Are you two together?” Y/N asked “Ha…no. We’re just friends. I have a mate, her name is Corin” Heidi replies and Y/N nods. “I don’t have a mate of my own to spoil so I tend to help Heidi with her Minion collection” Demetri added “That’s really nice of you Demetri” Y/N says smiling at him. “’Nice’ is my middle name Darling” He smiled and winked at Y/N “Sure it’s not ‘flirt’?” Alec asked “Oh shut it you” Demetri replied.
“Let’s go to the Haunted House next for Y/N” Alec says and they make their way over to the ride. On the way Alec notices the ‘Coconut Shy’ booth “Do you mind if we make a quick stop?” He asked Y/N “Not at all. Good luck” She replied as she and Jane followed Alec “Watch her D. I’ll be back in a minute” Felix said and then walked away before Demetri could respond. A few minutes later Felix returned and walked up beside Y/N “Here I bought you a bag of Candy Floss. I wasn’t sure what one you’d prefer so I got you a mixed bag of blue and pink” Y/N turned to Felix and gave him a small smile “Thank you Felix. You didn’t have to” “I know Y/N, but I wanted to” He replied smiling “Well done Fe” Demetri said to Felix too low for Y/N to hear. Alec knocked over all the coconuts and won a prize, he chose a Tamagotchi “Here you are sister. I know your last one broke” Alec said handing the retro toy to Jane “Thank you Alec” She hugged her brother.
They waited in line for the Haunted House and Y/N ate some Candy Floss “Did any of you want to try it?” She asked after she noticed them eyeing the bag “It smells weird” Jane said wrinkling her nose, but took a small handful anyway “Urgh! It’s so sweet but the texture…oh my god” Jane said clearly displeased “How can you eat that? It’s revolting” Alec added; Y/N laughed “It’s nice…but in small doses” “May I try some Y/N?” Felix asked “Oh yeah, course. You did buy it after all” Y/N could tell by his facial expression that Felix didn’t like it either. Demetri and Heidi both politely declined after seeing their friend’s reactions. When it was their turn to get seated; Demetri and Heidi quickly sat together knowing the twins would want to sit together, this left Felix to sit beside Y/N “Are you ok if I sit here or would you rather sit next to someone else?” Felix asked turning his head in his friend’s direction “I-it’s ok, you can sit there” She replied quietly “But you have to hold one of the toys for me” “Of course little one” Felix smiled and took the bear from her.
They arrived back at the castle to find Afton hanging around near reception, despite the fact Gianna had finished for the day. “Been on a group outing I see. Guess that means you still need Demetri and Co to babysit you when you’re around your mate?” Afton asks in a teasing tone; “Get lost” Felix growls and Demetri moves Y/N so she is standing behind him, safe just in case a fight breaks out. “I’m only asking because…well…you couldn’t be that stupid to think that a pathetic little human wouldn’t be scared of the big bad executioner?” Afton continued to tease “Don’t start something you can’t finish” Alec warned as Felix growled again “What’s he going to do about it?” Afton asked nodding in Felix’s direction “He can’t risk scaring her any further” Afton adds smirking and taking a step in Y/N’s direction; before Afton knew what was happening Felix flashed forward and pulled one of his arms off then used it to smack him round the back of the head causing him to fall flat on his face, Y/N couldn’t help laughing at the sight, the sound was music to Felix’s ears. Demetri looked over his shoulder at her “What?” She asked innocently “It was funny. Felix using the guy’s own arm against him” She continues to laugh; the guards watching her, a little surprised Felix’s actions hadn’t scared her. “Hey Felix” Y/N called stepping out from behind Demetri “What are you going to do with his arm now?” “I’m not sure. I’m open to ideas” He had a wicked grin on his face as he looked down at her “Oooh I have an idea, but I can’t say whilst he’s listening” Y/N replied looking over her shoulder at Afton. “Let’s all go back to my room and hear your idea and I’m pretty sure Jane has a few ideas too, judging by the look on her face” Felix says and Jane nods “I have many ideas for both arms” She says smiling and swiftly removed Afton’s other arm. They left Afton on the floor and made their way to Felix’s room.
“What is your idea little one?” Felix asks Y/N, she blushes a little at the nickname “Well I thought we could glue on some fake nails and paint them so they’re really girly…” Y/n gets cut off by Heidi “Fab idea Y/N, fake nails last for weeks” “I like her idea. It’s the gift that keeps on giving too” Demetri smirks, Y/N looks at him confused “We can tease him about the nails for ages afterwards” Demetri explains, Y/N nods in understanding “I think we should definitely go with Y/N’s idea” Felix says smiling at her “I’ll go get my nail polishes if you grab the fake nails Y/N” Jane says excitedly. By the time Y/N and Heidi are finished, Afton’s right hand is sporting fake nails; all of which are painted a different colour and there is a gold love heart sticker applied to his ring finger. “That looks…wow…that’s so…” “Girly” Y/N finishes for Felix; who just nods smiling at her “Bless them. They’re bonding over pranking Afton” Alec says low to Demetri “As long as they are bonding over something, that’s all that matters” He replies.
Meanwhile, Jane had glued fake nails to Afton’s left hand and painted them ‘Barbie pink’ and painted a small picture of a dick onto the thumb, adding unicorn stickers to the index and ring fingers. “What do you think?” Jane asked smirking “Wow! That’s...different” Demetri said trying to hold back a laugh and failing “I think he’ll hate us more after this” Alec added. “You know what you should do when you return his arms…put the left one on the right side and vice versa” Y/N said with a mischievous glint in her eye “Now that sounds like a plan little one” Felix said grinning like a Cheshire cat.
Demetri volunteered to return Afton’s arms to him and Felix asked Alec to go with him and film Afton’s arms being reattached the wrong way round. Heidi and Jane left to do their own thing leaving Felix and Y/N alone together in his room “I’ll go too, you must have other things to do” Y/N said as she got up from the sofa “NO” His reply was louder than he planned “I mean…you don’t have to go. I have nothing else planned. I’d like it if you stayed...for a bit” He said softly “O-ok I’ll stay” She replied sitting back down. They spent some time getting to know one another; Felix finding out Y/N’s favourite colour, favourite animal, her hobbies, likes and dislikes. Y/N found out the same information about Felix. By the end of the evening Y/N was starting to feel at ease around him, although she wouldn’t admit it to anyone just yet.
The following afternoon Demetri, Alec and Jane left for a mission; they said their goodbyes to Y/N and Felix separately. That evening after dinner Y/N was on her way to Felix’s room when she heard voices “I take it Felix won’t be joining ‘boys’ night tonight, opting to spend time with Y/N” Santiago said to Josh “Actually Felix is joining ‘boys’ night, guess he had enough of the human yesterday; I mean they did spend the whole day together and most of the evening” Josh replied. Y/N felt her heart break a little hearing that and decided to spend the night alone; something she had gotten very used to. She cried her to sleep thinking ‘he’s changed his mind about wanting me…after spending just one day together. There must be something wrong with me…something that makes me...unlovable.’ Y/N stayed in her room the next few days only seeing Gianna when she bought her meals to her room. Felix was on guard duty and covering other duties for his friends whilst they were away.
Demetri, Jane and Alec returned to the castle; Jane going straight to see Y/N “Hi Y/N we’re back” She said entering Y/N’s room, noticing the stuffed toys Felix had won her were no longer on her bed “Hi Jane. Everything go ok?” Y/N replied “The mission went well, the problem was dealt with swiftly. How are you and Felix getting on?” Jane responded “Er…we’re not. I haven’t seen him since the Carnival. It would appear he has changed his mind about me….” “I’ll kill him” Jane growled cutting her off “No need for that Jane. He is allowed to change his mind. I’d like to be on my own...if you don’t mind” Y/N said not looking at Jane “Of course sweetie. I’ll see you later” Jane made her way to the door and unknown to Y/N Jane heard her mumble “It’s my own fault…I should never have thought someone like him would want someone like me” Y/N had her back to Jane so she didn’t see the tears that had started to fall.
“I’ll kill him!” Jane growled loudly as she slammed Demetri’s door shut behind her “Dare I ask who?” Demetri asked “That stupid idiot friend of yours. That’s who” She replied “Why? What’s he done now?” Demetri was curious “He has rejected Y/N whilst we’ve been away…” “WHAT?!” Demetri yelled “Are you serious? After everything she’s been through? After everything we did to help him?” Jane nods in response “I’m going to kill him!” Demetri growled, storming from his room to find Felix in the training room, Jane hot on his heels. He flashed up behind Felix catching him off guard and threw him into the wall; Jane used her gift to keep Felix subdued. Demetri flashed over to him grabbing him by the neck and squeezing so hard that cracks started to appear; he growled into his friend’s face “You don’t deserve her!” He shoved him away, Felix hitting the wall again “He’s all yours” He said to Jane as passed her on his way out of the room.
Demetri ran to Y/N’s room to check on her as he had become fond of her; he entered her room to find her lying on her bed crying, he closed the door behind him and made his way to her, pulling her gently into his arms “I’m so sorry cara” He said low in her ear “D-don’t be…I-it’s not y-your fault” She sobbed “It’s mine” “And how did you work that one out?” Demetri asked “T-there’s some-something wrong…with me. I-I’m unlovable” She was sobbing harder now and he held her closer “You are not unlovable Y/N. You just need to find the right person” He said softly “Ha…That’s a joke right? I mean I’m mated to a vampire…a vampire that doesn’t want me. Just bite me and lock me away” “Y/N I will do no such thing. If that idiot doesn’t want you…I’ll speak to the masters and ask if they’ll let you leave. Let you live out your life away from here” He replied “Thank you Dem…you’re a good friend”
Back in the training room “What’s going on? What’s he done now” Santiago asked “He’s rejected Y/N whilst we’ve been away…” “No he hasn’t or at least not that I’m aware of” Santiago cut her off “Then why does she think she’s been rejected? Why is she crying in her room?” Jane asked forgetting about Felix for moment “S-she th-thinks I d-don’t w-want her?” Felix asks, the cracks on his face and neck making it hard to talk “Yes. You idiot. You haven’t seen her since the carnival and that was five days ago” Jane replies glaring at him “You prat” Santiago says shaking his head “You better go set things straight” Felix nods and flashes to Y/N’s room.
He walks in to see Y/N lying in his best friend’s arms “What the hell’s going on?” Felix shouts “I’m comforting my friend after her stupid mate rejected her” Demetri shoots back “I haven’t rejected her” “Don’t lie Felix. I heard your friend say that you had had enough of the human after spending one day with her” She said low “That is not true...honestly little one. I have been working, covering Demetri and Alec’s shifts too in their absence” “B-But you’ve not come to see me” “I didn’t know if I’d be welcome or if you’d want to spend time with me without Heidi or Demetri around” He replied “If you’d bothered to come to my room and talk to me you’d know whether you’d be welcome. We spent time alone together after the Carnival did we not?” “Yes, but…” “But what Felix? I came to your room…well I was on my way there until I heard your friend and…” She trailed off “I’m going to leave you both to talk” Demetri said as he left the room “Fix this” He mouthed to Felix.
Felix made his way over to the bed and sat down “I’m sorry. This is new to me…” “It’s new for me too Felix” Y/N says “I know…it’ just after everything that happened I didn’t want to scare you away…but it seems I’ve pushed you away instead...which is rather unfortunate as I have planned something for you…for us…for tomorrow night, knowing that Demetri would cover for me” “You’ve planned a surprise…for me?” “Yes…little one. Don’t sound so surprised and I figured with Demetri being back in the castle you’d feel more comfortable being alone with me, knowing he was around if you needed him. I know you’re more comfortable with him than me” “There’s a reason for that Felix” “I know. So how about we put the misunderstanding aside and continue getting to know one another?” “O-ok, I’d like that” She replied quietly and he smiled at her “Wh-where are the stuffed animals I gave you? Did you throw them out? Felix sounded a little hurt “No. I-I shut them away in the closet” She replied quietly. “I’ll let you sleep, I have a few things to finish sorting out for tomorrow and I need to speak to Demetri. I’ll come by about six o’clock tomorrow evening, wear something nice but make sure you’ll be warm too” “Ok, I will. Goodnight Felix” “Goodnight little one”
Felix left Y/N’s room and went straight to Demetri’s and explained everything to him “You Felix are a bloody idiot, romantic but still...an idiot. For what it’s worth I’m sorry for how I reacted” “Don’t apologise D, you were just defending Y/N and I get that, you’re friends after all” Felix replied “I’ll always defend her and kick your ass if needed” Demetri replied smiling.
Felix had planned a sunset picnic on the castle roof for him and Y/N; he laid out two large blankets on the floor and placed the small hamper to one side. He then placed some cushions down and another two blankets folded neatly beside them. He then went to collect Y/N for their first date.
“Y/N you ready?” “Yes. I am” She replied “Wow...Y/N” Felix was left breathless at the sight of his mate; she was wearing black skinny jeans and a fitted blue jumper, the outfit hugging her curves in all the right places “Thank you” She blushed taking her bottom lip between her teeth as she watched him eye from head to toe and back again. He gently took her warm hand in his cold one and led up to the castle roof.
Looking around at the rooftop she spotted the blankets, cushions and the hamper “Y-you did all this for…for me?” She asked feeling tears build behind her eyes “Yes” He whispered into her ear “I thought we could have a picnic whilst watching the sunset” “Oh Fe, it’s perfect. Thank you” She replied smiling. He led to the blanket and reaching into the hamper he pulled out a single red rose “For you” He smiled handing it to her. He reached back inside the hamper and pulled out two glasses, a bottle of prosecco for Y/N and flask of blood for himself. They talked as they watched the sunset and as the evening went on Felix noticed Y/N had moved closer to him so he decided to take a leaf out of Demetri’s book and wrapped an arm around her gently and pulled her into his side; he felt her relax and snuggle into him as he covered them both with blankets. After a while he noticed Y/N’s breathing had evened out and that she had fallen asleep in his arms “Goodnight little one. I love you” Felix whispers and kisses her hair holding her a little closer finally happy to have his mate in his arms, where she belongs.

Request: Fighting (Alec Volturi x Reader)
Alec called you spoiled as well as shallow and your eyes darted to him with a growl. You couldn't believe he had said it but your ears didn't lie. Being Aro's kid wasn't as easy as it sounded. It meant eyes were always on you, expectations were high and quite frankly materialistic things didn't matter to you. They were just simply given to you and Alec didn't seem to understand that. You immediately began to walk away. "Running now? Start an argument with me and then you run off?" Alec called after you and spun on your heel. "I would never go so low as to name calling and until you know how to speak to me, I don't want to be near you!" "How I 'should' speak to you? I never suspected entitled too." Your jaw dropped. "Don't go there with me, Alec." You said lowly. "We all know the many popular names you have and don't think I won't be pushed to use them." You spoke through a stiff jaw before storming off.
Some how the argument continued around Aro and Sulpicia. If only Alec hadn't followed you. Seemingly you had crossed a line with him. "(Y/N), please, i really do believe you're escalating the situation." Aro tried to reason with you. "I never insulted him even once and he called me spoiled! He's treating me like I'm the very dirt he walks on! He'd never speak to Jane like that so why would he speak to me like that!?" "My sister doesn't annoy me until an argument occurs!" "That's because you only have the patience for your sister!" "Enough." Aro stood in between you. Sulpicia sighed. "Honestly (Y/N), just let it go. They're men, this is what they do. Brothers in arms and all that..." This didn't seem to comfort you as you stormed off again.
A few hours later, Aro found you curled up on your bed. "Are you willing to talk to me about this?" Aro asked softly as he sat on your bed. You didn't reply and so regardless, Aro began. "Alec can have a sharp tongue. He has expressed he didn't mean those words." "I don't care." You said quietly. "I know he didn't think his words to be true but it still hurts to know he said it trying to hurt my feelings." Aro nodded before rubbing your arm. "I know, and I know that Alec feels guilt for what he said despite his difficulty showing it. I also know you don't want me involved in your bond with Alec, but I thought you should know. Most of all, i wanted to make sure you were alright."
Barely an hour after Aro had left, Alec had entered saying nothing but climbing into your bed from behind and holding you close to him. You could feel his face pressed into your hair. "I'm sorry." He whispered. "I really escalated things. I should never had said such things. I didn't mean them." You were silent at first interlocking your hand with his that rested on your hip. "I'm sorry too."

The Last Dance (Felix Volturi x teen!fem!reader)
“Please?” “Don’t look at me like that, (Y/N). I don’t know if it’s likely. It isn’t my decision in the end. I don’t want to instill hope in you for a lost cause.” Felix looked at you solemnly. “Let me talk to the masters, but please do not dwell on this too much.” “Please tell them that i need to go!” “You don’t need to do anything, my love.” “I need to do this!” You pleaded with your father. “I won’t get to do this again. I’m only asking for this once!” “(Y/N), enough.” Felix said firmly. “I will see what we can do for you but do not push your luck.”
The next day, you were called into the throne room to be faced with the three leaders and your father. Caius wasted no time, getting straight to the point. “We made an agreement to allow you to go to school, now I hear you want more?” “Not like that, sir.” You responded meekly. “I’m very grateful that you allowed this. So much so that, i’m sad it’s over. You see, there is an end of year dance - a final goodbye and i want your permission to go so that i can end this time on a good note and have one last memory with my friends.” “But you understand that this is quite a big ask?” Aro prodded. You nodded quickly, suddenly uneasy. You knew where this was going. “Then you know your answer.” Caius said flatly. “Forgive us, young (Y/N), but this is a risk that we are not willing to take.We risked enough with your education. You agreed you’d do well and when the time had come along, this would end. You have completed your academic career, value our arrangement and let this be.” Aro said with much more sympathy and Felix put a hand on your shoulder. You fought back tears, your mouth opening and shifting as you tried to find any words but none would come out. Aro rose to a stand his hands clasped to his chest as he moved towards you and took your face in his hands. “This is not a punishment dear (Y/N), this is what’s best.” Immediately, you began to cry, unable to hold it back any longer. Marcus tilted his head. “Perhaps we could reconsider this,” He drawled. “Why?” Caius shot back. “Because we have trusted (Y/N) enough to allow her to get an education in the human world. We have transferred her to many many schools as for the humans not to question her growth, i’m sure we could extend our trust to one more night.” “Marcus, do not spoil the girl.” Caius responded. “We have given her enough and this was not a part of the arrange we agreed upon.” “In defense, she didn’t know of such outings just as we didn’t, just as we didn’t know of these parent-teacher conferences.” “Which we did not attend because of the risk!” Caius argued. “We requested that we received a more detailed report card.” “What is your point brother?” Aro turned to Marcus. “My point is that too make such a decision so quickly is unreasonable, we should be encouraging (Y/N) to maintain our trust and reward her for her efforts throughout her education.” Caius scoffed. “Then let us think thoroughly on this brothers.” Aro moved back to his throne. “We will let you know when we have come to a decision, (Y/N).” Aro dismissed you and Felix wrapped an arm across your shoulders walking you out the room. “Don’t cry, (Y/N). You know I hate seeing you so upset. Demetri will go mad if he sees his precious niece like this.” “I didn’t mean to, i just-i really want this.” You wiped at your eyes. “I know but we can only wait and see.” He pulled you into the direction of your room. “Come, i’ll spend some time with you.”
Three weeks passed and the answer didn’t seem to change it was only until a few hours before the dance when Demetri and Felix entered your room. He sat on your bed in front of you. “So I was summoned to the throne room today.” Felix smiled at you. “The masters have decided you can go.” “Really!? I can!?” Your face lit up making the two grin. “Yes, I wouldn’t lie to you, love.” Felix chuckled. “They were very back and forward but in the end, they decided they could allow this one night with your fathers permission.” Demetri added. “I suppose i can’t say no.” Felix smiled. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” You immediately pulled your father and uncle into a hug. “Remember to thank the masters.” Felix reminded you. “Have a good time, (Y/N). You deserve it- but not too much fun.” Demetri eyed you pointedly with playful eyes and Felix scowled, punching Demetri in the arm.
A moment later, your happiness suddenly vanished. Demetri and Felix tilted their heads. "That was short lived, what's on your mind?" Demetri asked. You chewed your lip. "It took so long to convince you guys that...I didn't get time to pick a dress." You held back a sob. "I don't have anything to wear." "You've got some time left, Heidi can take you shopping. I'm sure she wouldn't mind." Demetri spoke quietly. "Heidi isn't here right now. She's out to gather tourists. That isn't to say we can't have someone help you." Felix said. It was rare to see you cry and it broke his heart to see you so heartbroken. Not to mention that you had cried twice over this situation, it only showed how much this meant to you. You wiped your eyes and shook your head. "No, it's fine. It doesn't matter anymore." "It's fine, (Y/N). We can figure out something." Felix patted your shoulder. "No, it's not worth it. It's just a dance." You left the room, wiping your eyes. You were quiet for the next hour or so, in the library and trying to keep your mind off of it.
Alec peeked his head through the door. "Come to the throne room with me. You're being requested." You sighed closing the book and leaving it on the table. The walk with Alec was pretty quiet. As usual he only made brief conversation with you but it you got the indication he was making a small attempt to cheer you up. When you arrived, you were surprised to see Demetri, Felix, the leaders and Athenodora- Caius' mate- with them. She immediately moved forward with a warm smile just as she always did. "My loving husband told me word had been around that you're upset, my love. Tell me what has got you so upset?" She always had a way of getting you to talk openly with her. She was like the mother figure you never had. "Tonight's the last dance. The last time I can see my friends. I know I made a deal. I could go to school if I committed and I did. I get good grades but I didn't know about these dances. I never go and I had hoped that since this would be the last that I could go-end my education on a high note." You're voice quivered. "but it took so long for the decision that it's a few hours away and I don't have a dress to wear so I can't go." "I see. Tell me, is it formal?" You nodded. Athenodora smiled holding out her hand. "Come with me. I know what to do." When Athenodora's mind was made up, that was it. She, as per usual, kept the idea to herself as she lead you up to the tower, Caius, Felix and Demetri not far behind. She sat you on a chair as she moved to the opposite side of the room and into her walk in wardrobe you heard her rummage about. You looked over at the two guards and Caius but even her own husband wasn't entirely sure what Athenodora had in mind. "Ah ha!" You heard from the wardrobe before she came into sight with a breathtaking dress. "Up!" She smiled and you did so, still not putting the pieces together as you continued to take in the beauty of the dress. She put it against you as you both looked at the reflection of the mirror. "Oh yes, I knew this dress would do you justice. What about this one?"
After a moment you caught up with her. "Wait? Wear this? I-I couldn't! It's yours and it's beautiful and-" Athenodora cut you off with a smile. "Hush. It has been a long time since I wore this and even if my tastes have changed- my appreciation for this dress has not. I'd be more than happy to give you it and see it out in the world one last time." "But are you sure you want me to have it?" "There's no one else in this world I'd rather see it on. If this dress is satisfactory then it's all yours." Athenodora didn't need an answer. She saw it in your eyes. This was the one. She ushered you into the walk in wardrobe. "Try it on!" She closed you in, stepping back, her hands clasped under her chin, grinning in excitement. "Are you certain about this, my love?" Caius asked. "Miss, please do not feel pressured to comply." Felix added and Demetri nodded. Athenodora looked at the three with a small smile. "I do not have a daughter to share these moments with. I couldn't be happier sharing these moments with (Y/N)." "Thank you, Miss." Felix said. "This is very generous."
“Oh, isn’t she beautiful!” Athenodora was moment away from squealing. “Caius, look!” “I see, my love, I see.” Caius assured her. “(Y/N) looks very beautiful.” You looked down at yourself. “You look very beautiful, love.” Felix smiled. “It suits you well.” “Do you like it?” Demetri asked. “I love it- are you sure it’s alright that i wear this?” You asked Athenodora. “Yes!” She said with glee.
Later, you heard a knock at your door. "It has occurred to me that I owe you a thanks." Caius stepped further into the room as you looked at him puzzled. "You gave my wife precious moments that I could not give her and ones that she'll never forget. For that, I thank you." "I'm sorry, sir, I don't think I understand." "I never had the chance to give her a child, which was all she ever wanted. When you came along, you've filled that hole in her heart. For that I thank you." You nodded. Caius stopped himself, just as he was about to leave the room. "Oh, and not too much make up, understand? I'd hate to have to remind you of your age and you most certainly don't need it." You giggled as he cracked his own smile in response -even though you were aware he was being deadly serious. "I wouldn't get out the door. I'm only wearing lip gloss and mascara- I promise." "I can't say I know what the first one is but, I assure you. I'll ask my wife and if I'm not happy I'll be right back down here." "I promise my dad approves, if he changes his mind, you can hold me down as he scrubs my face." Caius chuckled. "If I don't see you, enjoy your evening." "Thank you so much for letting me go. It means so much to me." Caius nodded and left.
Heidi looked you over at the door. "Lovely!" She giggled slightly when she took hold your chin, inspecting your face. "I see your father got to you before I could. Not even a little lipstick?" "Not allowed." You shrugged. "Thats right." Felix said as he turned the corner with Demetri. "I will tolerate bare minimum of make up and lipstick is certainly not tolerable. She's too young." "You have to let her grow up some time, Felix." Heidi teased. "Even Jane wears more make-up." "No I don't and Jane isn't my child." Felix pulled you in as though to protect you from Heidi. "It wasn't long ago that she was an infant." "Technically, that was five years ago." You looked up, leaning against your father's hold. "It's not technical, dear. It's literal." Demetri corrected you. "However, your aging has slowed significantly in the past month so-" "So your father will get more time to baby you." Heidi smirked. "I can't wait until you start dating." "(Y/N), won't be dating for the next four hundred years." Felix huffed. "More ideally, she won't ever be dating." "Guys, I'm going to be late..." You interrupted. "Fine." Felix said before kissing the top of your head. "You look beautiful. Have fun." Demetri put a hand to your back leading you out the door. "Demetri! Don't bring home any of her friends mother's!" Someone called from inside. "Wait what!?" You gawked. "Nothing. There's no need to worry. I'm simply blessed by the gods but no need to fret. The ladies can look but they can't touch." Demetri smirked.

Coming back from the Lights (Demetri Volturi x Reader)
When I woke up, I was standing on a beach. La Push...was that it's name? I was oddly calm for my situation, I didn't remember anything from before. My earliest memory I could think of was a blur. I was crying but I don't remember why. Yet I knew that I didn't live far from here. I knew exactly where I lived, my name, my age. I looked down at myself. Nothing seemed out of place. My eyes caught a deep looking scar on my hand. I couldn't remember how I'd gotten it but once again, I felt completely calm. I wasn't sure why I was on the beach but I put it behind me and began my walk home. It was strange, like I was expecting this to happen but I just couldn't remember ever preparing for this.
Either I was horrifyingly messy or I hadn't been here in a long time. Everything had a layer of dust as the sunset beamed through the window, illuminating the room with an orange glow. Letters were piling up behind the door, a heap on the floor. The kitchen disheveled as though I had hurriedly left and never returned. There was no doubt this place is definitely mine but I hadn't been here in a very long time- for whatever reason. I feel like I'm radiation, I left leaving everything behind the only proof that I existed. Naturally I eventually faced the kitchen, there was a foul smell emitting from the fridge. When I opened it, I gagged. Spoiled milk and chicken that had went off long ago. I immediately opened a window and got rid of the two putrid items. I scanned the fridge to find no other food, hunted through cupboards to no avail. If you wanted to eat tonight, you'd need to make a shopping trip.
I walked to the grocery store, still not entirely sure how much I'd buy or even what i wanted to buy. I went undisturbed until i inspected the apples. In the corner of my eye, I saw a girl, she looked to be about ten years old, looking right at me. She tugged at a woman with light brown hair who followed the girls gaze. Seeing me seemed to startle her, she stared me down as i even lifted my gaze to let her know i was aware she was looking at me. However, it didn’t seem to bother her. It was like she had seen a ghost and i just grew more and more uncomfortable. She raised her hand to her mouth and that was when i turned away to move out of her sight. I cut the journey short, making a quick decision of a microwave meal and would quickly call it a night. My anxiety increased vastly in that moment and i wasn’t sure why. I went straight home, fighting the urge to sprint but wasn’t sure why i felt so. Somehow the woman didn’t frighten me, nor the girl but the fact that i was noticed scared me.
Esme contacts the Volturi to tell them about reader being alive “(Y/N) is alive! I don’t know how-!” Esme’s voice breaks slightly as she tries to process what she had seen. “Tell Demetri, i’m sorry. I really thought-!” The three leaders sat in deep thought, all looking at Demetri who had a blank expression, slowly, the information sinking in.
The lights were almost blinding but blurred around their outlines. I'm almost certain their lights from the city. A life-long dream of mine was to live in the city. Yet I settled with Forks, enjoying the simplicity and peace, neither were available in the city. Perhaps a holiday would suffice. The lights are always moving, rushing past me. They were white, but weren't pure white, there was a slight grey as well as well as yellow tinge to them. Some lights had more visible details such as this than others, which where just white blurs. I woke up from the same dream of lights that I had grown accustomed to. I knew I'd been having them for months however, I didn't know how such knowledge could be possible. I still wasn't afraid. Those lights were beautiful, even comforting when having to sleep in a house that no longer felt like home with no memories to link it with. Yet my belongings told me otherwise. I decided to leave the house, try to find my memories and explore my surroundings. The lights giving me a new found inspiration.
After many streets, I found an empty playground. The swings singing slightly with the wind. I went inside, the aim to sit on a swing but halted about two feet away from the swing, something rushing to my mind. You were sitting on the swing, swaying slightly as Alec on the other swing beside you did the same. “When are you going to tell Demetri?” He asked and you sent him a look, unhappy that he had brought it up. “I wasn’t going to. What would be the point?” “True, but you still need to tell him.”Alec blinked. “Why?” You said quickly. “Being changed against your will won’t sit well with you and you’ll need to live with it for eternity. You’’re better making peace with it and letting him help you. Not to mention, he’s noticed somethings wrong.” You chewed your lip, biting back your frustration. “You can’t avoid this, (Y/N).” I remembered more about the boy, Alec, as the scene played out in my head. It kept my mind busy as i moved from the playground to find myself at a cliff after no more than a fifteen minute walk. You tried to think about who this Demetri could be as he was clearly someone of somewhat importance in your life but nothing came to you. You had known Alec for a while, but ever since this Demetri came around, you had developed some sort of a friendship with Alec. He was a vampire, a part of the Volturi- a form of police and court for the vampire world. It came back to you immediately.
Being on the cliff made you feel a little sick, you were never a fan of heights. “Your gift... tell me about it.” You looped your arms around Demetri’s neck who pulled you closer. “Well, i’m a tracker, as you know.” Demetri gave you a charming smile. “Yeah, but tell me more.” You pressed. “How does it work? If i were to toss my keys over this cliff, would you be able to locate them?” Demetri shook his head “Not quite.” He was clearly enjoying the attention you gave him. “I have to know you, i just have to meet you once. That’s when i get a sort of...impression, i suppose you could call it, of your mind, how it works- like a pattern and when you leave, i follow it and i could find you anywhere.” “Impressive. So there’s no getting rid of you then?” Demetri hummed in amusement. “No, my apologies.” He grinned. “However, i will disappear from time to time.” “Oh really?” Demetri nodded with a loving smile. “I’ll always come back to you. I can’t wait for you to come to Italy.”
Demetri Volturi... I loved him. I loved him with every fibre of my being. I met him the same time I met Alec. He was a charmer, a bit of a flirt but he was mine as soon as he got to know me. We had been together for months and Demetri made it clear that he wanted to be with me forever. I turned to the woods behind me and began to walk, but had to stop after about fifteen minutes- feeling nauseous.
It was an argument- one that had went on for too long for either of you to keep control.”How could you not tell me this? How could you tell Alec before you told me!? Do you understand what you’re saying!? Do you understand the consequences, the position you’re putting me in!?” “What’s so wrong with me staying human!? I’m not going to tell anyone about-” "Humans are temporary! It's a blessing for them and I hate you for it. I hate that the next sixty years will be nothing for me yet most of your time is up." Demetri grew more aggravated. "I had everything until you came along. You've become my whole world. You can't leave me now!" He didn’t want you to leave, he didn’t want to carry on knowing you would die of old age in what felt like no time at all. He moved closer as you moved back but you lost your footing, falling to the ground. Demetri gasped and immediately turned away, covering his nose and mouth. Once the shock wore off, you looked down at your open hand, a sharp stick jutting out of it and that was when you started screaming.
I stumbled back out of the woods, feeling overwhelmed. The memories coming too quickly. “Carlisle!” You cried with your phone to your ear, your bleeding hand in front of you, and pouring. “Are you alright, (Y/N)?” “I’m hurt! It hurts!” “Where is Demetri?” “I told him to leave! There’s too much blood!” You sobbed as pain rushed through you. “Carlisle, please come find me!” As you got to the road white light hit your face and you screamed before everything went dark. You stumbled into your dark house, rubbing your eyes. It was dark outside and who knew how many hours had passed. I got to my couch but as soon as I did, I passed out, everything going black just as it had in the memory.
I awoke to a knocking on my door, i sat up, it was late morning, almost afternoon as i checked the time. I heard another knock that reminded me to answer the door. I slowly opened the door, uncertain who could want anything with me when i didn’t know anybody here. A blonde haired man with gold eyes stood at the door. He inhaled, in what looked to be surprise before composing himself. “Hello, I’m Carlisle, a doctor here in Forks but im aware you might not know that.” “Do i know you personall-” I halted, mid-sentence remembering the voice and the name I spoke to on the phone before the light me. My eyes drifted to my hand, where the scar resided. “It’s healed nicely.” Carlisle commented, also looking at my hand. “I hope you don’t mind the scarring, it was the best we could do at the time.” “At the time?” “May i come in? I am certain you have many questions.” I didn’t answer but held the door open. He entered and looked around. “It hasn’t changed much, even after all these months.” “Months?” I repeated. “That’s how long i’ve been gone?” “Three to be exact. How have you been feeling as of recent?” Carlisle asked, looking me over. “A little strange...since i’ve been remembering things. I’ve been having flashbacks since i woke up yesterday morning. I remember up to being on the road, seeing a light and then...nothing.” “I see... do you know what triggers it?” “I was in places the happened. That’s my best guess.” My mind went back to Demetri. “Where’s Demetri?” “In Italy.” “I’ve not heard from him...no calls, no letters nothing. Am i missing something?” “Let’s sit down.” Carlisle said gently. “I’ll tell you what happened.”
Carlisle took an unnecessary breath. “You ran out of the woods and onto a road, into oncoming traffic. You were hit by a car which cut off the call with me. Not too long later, i was called in to the hospital. I was specifically called in on your case. We had you awake as we rushed you to the OR, for a minute or two. You were staring up at the corridor lights, mumbling. You didn’t seem to hear us.” I remembered rushing city lights that filled my dreams, those yellow tinted lights that the more i thought of the clearer they became. They weren’t city lights, they were the lights on the corridor ceiling. “You lost consciousness again but after a lot of hours, we saved you. I don’t know what happened after i left the hospital but i was informed that you had passed away, that your body just couldn’t keep it up and gave out. It was then that i had to inform Demetri, not that you were in an accident and recovering but instead that you had died.” “Was he okay?” I asked, horrified as to where this story was going. Carlisle shook his head. “I will save you the details.” Carlisle’s face twisted into one of thought and confusion. “I don’t know what happened, but your body disappeared. There was a mix up of sorts between you and another body being transported. It was the last we heard, that the morgue there took care of you. That was until Esme and Renesmee saw you in the store yesterday. The young girl and woman you saw with brown hair.”
Carlisle stayed for a few hours to help me piece together my life and tell me that the Volturi was informed of my sighting.I asked him what would happen now but he told me not to worry about it and that he’d sort it. All i had to do was make sure i rested. When Carlisle left, i did exactly that, i had dinner, watched some TV and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. As i filled up my cup, my eyes lifted to the window in front of me and jumped to see someone standing behind me. I turned around sharply and gasped. Demetri stood in the doorway, as widened and mouth agape. “You’re alive...” It came out like a whisper whilst my next words came out as a whimper. “You’re here...” “How could I not?” Demetri breathed as I moved towards him, leaving the glass in the sink and pulling him into a hug. After a moment, the shock lifted from him and his arms moved around me tightly. “I’m so sorry.” He mumbled into my shoulder. “Forgive me...forgive me.” “There’s nothing to forgive.” I told him, a tear running down my cheek. “I love you so much.” I knew what i wanted as soon as i saw him again. “I’ll come with you to Italy. You can change me. I don’t care, as long as i get to be with you.” The tears just kept falling, raw emotion i hadn’t felt before came back to me seeing his face, telling me just how much he meant to me. Demetri squeezed me, confirming he had heard me, unable to speak yet. He pulled away to grab my face and full me into a passionate kiss. “Thank you.” He said against my lips, unable to find the will to let you go.

Request: Little Door (Jane Volturi x Reader)
Lugging behind Alec, Jane, Felix and Demetri had become something of a routine. You weren’t allowed to walk around freely: you couldn’t be trusted. You were a wanderer and if you had your own way, you’d almost be impossible to find. You felt like a doll that the Volturi owned, forcing your every move and didn't stop no matter how often you pushed them away to leave you alone. You were acknowledged when Alec insisted that you didn't wander. “Not like i can go anywhere without other people anyway.” You muttered. "Don't start." Felix grumbled and you crossed your arms. You were on the way back from a mission the four had and of course you had to join since they refused to leave you alone. It didn't surprise you, you could barely leave a room without someone's supervision. When you left alone, you learned that someone was always near by.
On this particular day, it had been Jane and Alec who were near whilst you wandered through the rooms, counting the same paintings that got old after the first four days. However, you didn't notice the small door that reached your waist in height. Then again, it was hidden by a table which you had to move. You twisted the knob but frowned when it was locked and sealed shut. "Hey Jane!? Where does this door go?" You called out. "(Y/N), I'm busy!" You heard Jane call back. That was always her answer. Spending time with Alec was always number one priority.
Jane stared down her brother, just as he did his sister when they heard your voice. The two hoping you'd take 'no' for an answer. It was quiet for a moment. "Puh-lease!" Was the loud, dragged out response Jane received who groaned and got up.
You had both hands resting on the door when Jane walked in. "You're being annoying today." You huffed and knocked on the small door. "Promise me that you'll give me an hour of quiet if I do this for you." You nodded. "Done." "Fine." Jane said through a clenched jaw. "I think you might need a key-" you shouldnt have been surprised when Jane grabbed the available corners of the door and tugged, ripping it open. Yet you were pretty surprised but disappointment flooded you when you were met with a slight gap before the opposite wall of the next room. "Wait what? There's honestly nothing?" "Many changes have been made and besides this was probably for maids at some point." "But surely there'd be something to show that. I don't see anything!" "You promised me! I opened it for you now, leave me alone for an hour!" Jane stomped off.
You scowled at the door before peering in. There was absolutely nothing, there was no need for this door. Still you couldnt help but take another gla-. You froze. You were certain you hadn't seen a trap door previously. Not to mention, how everything seemed a little wider around that door. You couldn't just ignore it. You eyed the surrounding area again, this time reaching for the candle that you sat beside you. Your eyes weren't deceiving you. There was a trap door back there. You weren't fond of tight spaces. However, it would haunt you not knowing what that door would be. You opened it and realised just how bizarre the whole situation was. There was no way that this door could ever fit in between the walls as it did. It was hard to believe anyone would squeeze themselves into such a narrow gap which you nearly didn't get through. You couldn't help but think as you pulled the door open that this was completely impossible. You were certain the dimensions of the space were changing. Impossible things never intimidated you though. As a matter of fact, it only intrigued you more.
You dropped down and into a dusty corridor the size of a ventilation shaft. Great. More tight spaces. It led to a slightly bigger room, allowing you to kneel down. Light broke through the wooden boards above you. Natural or artificial, you couldn't tell and you just got more confused. You were alone, in the silence with a piece of while chalk. Your question list just seemed to grow.
For some reason, you remembered drawing doors on the walls in your house growing up. You couldn't quite remember why you did it but you couldn't stop yourself picking up the chalk, just like you did many years ago and draw a door big enough for you to crawl through. To your surprise the outline of the door popped out. You crawled out to find you were outside of the castle. Your head was beginning to hurt. You were completely lost as to how the route you had taken had even existed. You began to walk away and were surprised that you hadn't been stopped. Soon, you were weaving through the streets of Volterra and no one had stopped you.
Your new independence was invigorating but also scared you. It didn't sit right with you that you were able to just walk away. Not to mention that it had been a few hours and you were beginning to want Jane's company. You didn't get much contemplation of the idea however, since you were met with a smirking Alec. "You're far from home, hm?" You scoffed. "Wow. That's just teasing. You've been following me the whole time?" "No. I'm usually out here. If anything, you're following me." You furrowed your brow. "That's a lie. You never leave the castle unless told to." "Maybe your Alec doesn't." "My Alec? What are you talking about?" Alec ignored you. "Are you hiding from my sister?" "Not intentionally but I'm not opposed to the idea. I'm surprised she isn't tearing me a new one for leaving." "I am intentionally hiding from her." There's a sentence you never thought he'd say. "Come again?" "You seem surprised. Your Jane must be very different from mine." "Yours? Mine? Alec, I don't know what you're talking about!" "Come take a walk with me, I'll tell you about it."
When Alec was speaking, you began to piece together that this wasn't the same Alec you knew and there were tiny details of your surroundings that weren't the same. Alec didn't even deny or ridicule your guesses of this being an alternate world. You did a double take. You hadn't turned any corners and had been walking further away from the castle. So how had you both ended up working towards it again? “How can you walk away from something and still come back to it?” You asked, almost exasperated. “Isn’t that obvious? You return to everything when you want to, even if it isn’t consciously.” Alec said. "You know, you're my kind of Alec. I like you more than the other one. He's mean." Alec seemed pleased, taking it a compliment which only supported your theories.
When you got to the double doors, you noticed that Alec winced. "I should warn you. My sister is very...loud and self centered. I suggest you go along with everything she says. I just nod and avoid her at all costs." Just in that moment, just as you had heard a spiteful screech and Alec muttered "here we go..." Jane stomped into sight, glaring behind her. "I want a new tiara. I want a new tiara!!" The last sentence was literally the scream of a spoiled brat. Thankfully for the two of you, Jane was too busy throwing a tantrum to notice either of you, that or she didn't care.
Alec led you to the throne room and you had the strangest encounter you had ever had. This had definitely been a first that you had seen all three leaders, Aro, Marcus and Caius look excited to see you and squash you in the middle of them for a hug or what was instead, a very tight squeeze. They gushed over you, excited to see you. All three wearing huge grins which was startling to see from Caius and especially Marcus however, not so much for Aro since he could be like that at times. They pulled you away from Alec and even though the conversation started light, it turned into a bicker session between Aro and Caius. The two argued who was your favourite and we're no longer as animated. Instead they were just as welcoming and warm but were easily annoyed by one another, much like brothers would be...though maybe not at their age? You didn't notice Marcus wave for your attention and nodding to an open door, offering your escape. You sent him a thumbs up. Neither Aro or Caius noticing your departure.
You eventually came across the gardens and found Alec there. He wore a small frown giving some glances to the sky that was growing dark. "Are you okay?" You asked him. "You'll be leaving soon." He responded. "... are you sad?" "I'm a little worried. It feels like we won't be here anymore when you leave- even when you close your eyes." Alec said slowly. "I need to go back." "I know...but will you ever come back?" He looked up at you. "I don't know." You twisted under his stare. "I don't even know how to get back." Alec tore his stare away from you immediately. "You know where it is, don't you? You told me the doors here change. You know where it is right now." You asked him. Alec slowly nodded. "Take me there. Please." You touched his arm.
Alec lead you to the kitchen where there was the same looking doorway. You looked in, the tunnel plunged in darkness. You purposely didn't look at Alec. Everytime you caught a look of his face. He looked heartbreakingly sad. You sighed, unable to overlook it. "Alec, can you not look at me like that." "like what?" "like I'm stamping your heart into millions of pieces." You said, trying to keep your emotions in check. "Don't forget us." Alec shot at you, catching you off guard. "If you don't come back, don't forget us." "I won't, I promise. I won't forget any of this." You promised and pulled him into a hug. It was short and sweet and you climbed in.
The further you got into the tunnel, the louder things became. You heard a man and a woman talking from the floor above you but they were muffled, you hadn't a clue as to who it was. You squeezed your way out and had returned to the room you were in, just as you had left it. It must have been a while because the candle was out but it didn't look like it had ran out, instead it looked like it had been extinguished.
You heard yelling on the floor above you and decided to investigate the emotion. You got to the stairs when you realised it was Jane you had heard yelling. “Where could they have gone!?” you heard Jane scream. “You’re a tracker, how could you not find them!?” “Jane-” You heard Felix tried to calm her but to no avail. “Shut up!” There was a pause. “What am i supposed to do!? Do I need to go out and find them myself!? Huh!? Answer me Demetri!” You had never heard Jane so angry and once you got to the top step was when you were noticed. Alec was the first to see you, quickly taking his sisters arm and her attention turned to you not to long after Demetri and Felix saw you too. Jane stared at you for what felt like minutes. You weren’t sure what was wrong with her to be screaming so loud and so angrily but you were quickly given a hint. “Where the hell have you been!?” Jane screamed, marching towards you. You took a few steps back but Jane caught your arm. “Upstairs, now!” There was no room for argument and you heard her stomp her way up after you. she just about dragged you into your shared room and slammed the door. “Where have you been!?” “Here!” “Don’t you lie to me! I am the last person you should be lying to! Are you suggesting that we’ve all just walked past you!?” You didn't answer, shifting your weight. "(Y/N), I asked you a question! Where were you!? We looked everywhere. Demetri couldn't track you. It has been hours. I can't believe this! This is why I can't trust you to be left alone!" "I'm sorry!" You shouted over her, hoping she'd hear it. She did so, she paused, staring at you. You had never apologised. You were like her, you never apologised. Yet you did this time. "Apologise to me by telling me where you've been." Jane said, holding her stare on you. Perhaps she thought you'd disappear before her. "You'd never believe me..." You said weakly. She blinked but didn't budge, it was apparent that she wasn't taking no for an answer.
As predicted, she didn't believe you. You tuned her out after that, just to spite her. A part of you wished you had stayed in the other world. Before you knew it others had joined the discussion. It got so crowded that you had to excuse yourself because there were so many people. They thought you were mad but maybe one day they'd believe you. At least you had the option to come and go as you pleased. Whilst you thought about the little door and a smile rested on your face.
