A little while ago I showed my friends this drawing, and one of them replied "They're definitely gay". I reply back that by most metrics, the Sword and Spearmaster would be a straight couple. Friend replies "Queer passing straight couple". This comment eats at me to this day.

For the record, this statement is actually high praise for me, however the part that eats at me is like, gay in which direction? I could probably just ask but that was in August and I am socially awkward.

I hope I'm not coming off offensive, but I know that many people have noticed that the fine line cover art is the trans flag... However, -although we can't assume - I don't think that H is transgender, so what was the purpose of that?

Before I answer your question, I just want to make sure you understand that transgender is an umbrella term (like “gay”) and when people talk about this album, and say Harry is trans, they don’t mean that he wants to transition and live as a woman.

None of us know how he identifies, but many trans people in this fandom very strongly related to this album and interpreted a number of songs, and the album art, in a way that made a lot of fans believe that Harry doesn’t identify as cis—but more likely fluid in some way.

I think it’s worth reading through the really well-written and well-thought out posts in my HARRY’S GENDER tag before dismissing the idea that he could be genderfluid (or some variation thereof). Personally, I believe that to be true, so I don’t have an alternative reason as to why he’d make the cover of that album look like the trans flag. 💖
