Don't get me wrong, this book was just as good as the other two.. but it was the alcoholism that got me. I know becoming sober is a journey, but I just wanted Cal to be better. Especially once a child became involved.

It was obvious Cal wanted to be sober, and it sucked to see him give in to his addiction over and over. But the good times he had, god were they good.

Now enjoy my rollercoaster of thoughts as I read the book:

Right off the bat.. I’m not sure how I feel about Cal. Alana, on the other hand, is a total badass and I’m here for it.

(Little spoiler alert!!! ⚠️) Okay so the little kane children are adorable.... ( Declan/iris - illona ; Rowan/Zahra - Ailey ; Cal/Lana - Cami/ esmeralda and Lana is pregnant with twinssssss💘💘)

Overall, I would like to say that these three installation of Lauren Asher makes me think of life deeply. Each character made me learn a little bit about the world and maybe a little about myself too.

I love their family bickering, specially grandfather the God.. I want to say that their father was a "HIJUEPUTA" for real. He is so self-consumed and greedy that he does not have the capability to realize that he is a father to three great boys. Kane brothers had so much hate for their father, that they did not want to be like him, and somewhere in the process they had lost themselves ( until grandfather and their women make them understand).

I have a reason to believe that whatever a person goes through in life, how much ever he suffers , it should not affect the lives of others (especially their own children). To act ruthlessly, or out of humanity is not correct and to blame the situation and conditions using them as excuse is a disgrace in my dictionary. It is a big question that one should ask to themselves before acting upon the rage. Remember to be as good as you can be.

And Hopefully you will also have the opportunity to read about Kane family and i am sure you will absolutely love them all.

PS- Sorry NOT Sorry, i ramble a lot about life in between writing these reviews.. because i feel that reading is a way of travelling yes, but also a way of experiencing life. There are lot of people who do not go around the world, hell not even around their cities, and when u do not then you miss out on some or the other experience of life. Books make that happen, it might be just a romance novel for some but at last a book can make you understand what is life, what can you expect from it, or from people in your life at of course different situations ( uff!!! not literally guys, people have lot of different opinions on different things , not necessary that what we read is what is right okay? its okay u can feel more or less than what is written.). But what is most important is understanding what is it that you do not want, or what you do not expect from people around you or even from urself. And that is why villains are the best, they tell you what not to be!... And our heros are broken and hurt in some or the other way. This all to make us understand that all that glitters is not gold, not in our dreamland and hell not in real life for sure... I hope who ever will read or go through my profile will like it and just enjoy it as it is... Here with me we can enjoy and question our choices, our hero and heroine's choices and it is all good... We are learning.. and we'll keep learning 🤭😉
