I know we all like to talk about Will and Hannibal's whole "ethics become aesthetics" murder-is-an-art-form schtick, but I think we all moved on way too quickly from Margot and Alana's ruthless efficiency. Bullet to the head, drowned in an eel tank, letting Hannibal go knowing that no one else on Muskrat Farm would live to see the sunrise, all to serve their own ends. It's about survival and it's brutal, there's nothing beautiful about it and they don't try to make it so. They just accept it for what it is, and that's something that not even Will and Hannibal can do.

Here is a drawing of one of my favourite changes in choreography in the Australian deh production :)

During Good For You, after Alana and Jared have their little solos, Alana comes to the front of the stage and crouches down with her hands over her head, completely still. At the same time, Jared goes upstage and paces back and forth very quickly - every time he has to turn around he makes stilted and frustrated gestures as if he doesn’t know what to do with himself. I was very excited by this, as it is so unlike the broadway version of this scene where they stand symmetrically on opposite sides of the stage. Instead, Alana and Jared’s reaction to their feelings are clearly contrasted against each other. It seemed so natural too; while they move in formation for a lot of gfy, here it was like they had to take a break from the song because of how overwhelmed they were! Which only made it easier to empathise with them. The whole song was spectacular of course but this particular decision I think was very successful. I have always been intrigued by the contrast between Alana and Jared and it was really brought to the forefront in this moment.

maxwell should have gotten a chance to be genuinely scary. like she gets some good "girl what us wrong with you moments" but her job is betraying and hurting people. you just know she loves to monologue over intercoms. if jacobi died instead of her Kepler would end up in a saw trap

thinking about Jacobi post-canon hurts my head and heart so bad because he went to space with the two people he cared about the most and left alone!!!!!! he left alone!!!!!!!! nothing he can do now will ever change that, Kepler’s death took whatever Jacobi had left of Maxwell and died alongside him. Jacobi wakes up in a universe where he was the only one who survived and it’s physically hurting me
