Once you discover that you can, then you must. And it's not easy. You have to take direct steps. You really have to count your blessings and you have to make a decided effort to not get seduced by the blues.

Al Jarreau, Spain from ``Live Under the Sky 1990´´ (listen here)

(English / Español / Italiano)
Eight years ago the amazing Al Jarreau left us. A voice that was an instrument, a tale, a journey. It was as if his notes always knew where to go, like a feather blown by a light wind, capable of touching every corner of the soul.
Al sang, and meanwhile told stories, not with words, but with sounds that tasted of life, of joy, of melancholy. Listening to him you could hear the whole world, jazz flirting with soul, pop bowing to the elegance of his art. A perfect synthesis, but never rigid: he was free, sinuous, capable of invention and surprise.
Some voices never die, they continue to resonate, perhaps late at night, when everything is quieter and you are lulled by a song like Mornin' or We're in This Love Together. Al Jarreau still lives there, among those notes, suspended in an eternal ‘now’. And we are still here, listening to him sing and… dreaming!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're in This Love Together.
We’re in This Love Together. E noi siamo ancora qui, a sentirlo cantare e… a sognare!
