OLD SCHOOL ANIMATION NERDS, I SUMMON THEE TO ASSIST
Hey! Vanna here! So I recently, in a rage at the loss of the end-of-series lot of production materials, bought a cheaper lot I had been curious about, and I kinda struck animation history gold with it! Try as I might to pull the whole context together, I need y'alls help accurately naming and identifying what I have!!! There are MANY MORE of these, all from the same episode, an Utena one, a LOT of Nanami, and a group shot even, all following this similar formula. But let's be honest, Vanna and Yasha wanted that sweet Touga smugness. Analysis and questions below the cut! These aren't ALL the sheets, there are ones for the face shape and sleeve also but to demonstrate. Also, fucking amazingly, I also have the storyboards for this episode, so I can even tell you the shot number is 287 ISNT THAT COOL
So Utena fans. You may or may not know, but episodes 6 and 8 had very chaotic productions, and did end up getting swapped in the end. Per Ikuhara's directory commentary in the Nozomi Blu-ray:
He makes explicit reference here to Akemi Hayashi, credited as the animation director for the episode. I can't recall where I saw it now, but I know the difficulty of drawing Touga on model is mentioned somewhere in all the production stuff I have.
Now. Here's the problem. I DON'T FUCKING KNOW WHAT THEISIWEUGWEYGF what do I callll these. My understanding is the the douga is the final line art, transferred onto the cel, and that is the only thing that you call a douga. A douga is the 1:1 match to its cels in a sequence. With an anime like Utena, it's pretty often going to be included with the cel, if you obtain one. These are douga, the final line art that creates the animation, scans donated by JadeSabre and edited into sequence. The frames are numbered in the top right, and there are no notes or anything drawn on the sheets.
Now. That is NOT what I have above. So none of these materials are douga, they are...genga? Help? (This will get wild with Nanami, where I even have a green sketch that is clearly like, VERY FIRST draft of the shot...)
What I have are the key frames, to my understanding. Meaning these represent a point much earlier in the production process. On first glance, the white sheets are significantly cleaner, but they are also so far off model they're flying along with the Voyager probes in interstellar space. They're very capably drawn, don't get me wrong, but they're clearly done by someone who is not on the Dorito face bandwagon. This is apparently pretty common? You get your initial key frame sketches (genga??) made, and then the animation direction (Hayashi??) grades your work by making messier, but more on model versions of the shots. These are the yellow 'correction' genga?
The douga of this shot are likely with the cels. There are 11 distinct cels of Touga's face (others for the sleeve), guided by the 4 key frame sketches I have here. Looked at individually, I can even see where the filled in frames struggle a bit more to be on model than the key ones, even in the final product.
So clearly, what I have are some pretty early process materials where there was a bit of a back and forth about how to draw the characters. The others I have are similar corrections, but this is the absolute most drastic one. It's like they said 'just do it like kinda shoujo and we'll iron it out later.'
The question I have is...can I safely assume these yellow correction sheets are actually Akemi Hayashi originals? Or would there have been another person in this process doing this correction work instead? Would there be a way to know who drew the original ?genga? That may not be possible to ascertain, but it would be really cool to try, since this episode was a Chaos Production, since I have the actual storyboard for it, since I now have a neat piece of context about what the Chaos might have meant. This shot always stuck out to me in the first arc, because it's true that for a lot of the first arc, Touga and Saionji look....far more like the first drafts here. The strict adherence to the Hasegawa style gets enforced later in the series, but this is an example of the exchange that needed to occur to get folks on board with what was a pretty unique art style.
PS. This is torture, the shape of these means I actually need to make two scans of each one and stitch them together, which is nervewracking when you want them to overlap properly and also you don't want to wreck your toilet paper ass production materials pressing them into the scanner bed. Also several are fucking taped together and lemme tell you, 25 year old 'clear tape' don't stay clear and don't stay sticky.
Basically, any context or knowledge anyone can impart I would appreciate a lot! I know I've got something really cool here, but I am struggling to get much clear information about it, because Google is broken.

Synopsis

Uchusen Vol. 76 (Spring 1996) Choukou Senshi Changerion Segment ft. Toshiki Inoue Interview (translations below)

BIRTH OF THE CHANGERION
Choukou Senshi Changerion, which began airing on April 3 as Toei Hero's third slot, is an extremely ambitious work that aims to create an epoch of 90s styled heroes.
First, there's the visual shock of the hero, with the heavy use of transparent materials. Shinohara Tamotsu was in charge of the design, and Rainbow Zoukei, which was in charge of the modeling, even installed new equipment for Changerion.
The result, as you can see, is a super battleship like suit, with two layers of crystals and mechanical parts throughout its body.
Another ambition of Changerion, is its spirit. As those who have seen the show already know, Akira Suzumura, the main character, is a person who has no sense of being a hero or having a mission.
With this character image at its core, the story is light hearted, with a comedic touch. At the moment, Screenwriter Toshiki Inoue's unique world is unfolding, as he handles all of it by himself. We'll leave the details to Producer Shirakura Shinichiro's comments, but, it's a completely new tokusatsu hero work that aims to be an anti existing hero. A new program with 100% expectations, keep an eye out for future developments! _

"Based on the premise that the suit is made of a transparent material, the key idea is to give off the image of a, "Demon in Angel's clothes." Both order and chaos are coexisting. For the transparent parts, I tried to create a godly feel with wings and muscles, which are associated with Greek mythology, while inside, I tried to create a rough feel with the complicated mechanics. It's true that the mechanics inside are so complicated, that it alone is like a demon…."

"Changerion is an idea that I've always wanted to try someday. That's why we tested it carefully, and finally completed the project after many retakes, until the very end of the permitted production time. I'm confident in saying that I've reached a level where I'm not embarrassed to consider this a modern tokusatsu hero. I'll continue to challenge myself to create new concepts whenever I have the opportunity, so please continue to support us."

"Our first priority when planning Changerion, was to create a true to life hero. For humans, I don't think they'd suddenly feel a sense of justice or mission when suddenly told that they're heroes from this day forward. Everyone wants to have fun and enjoy life. From that perspective, what kind of drama can we create? That was the theme. To achieve this, I wanted to establish the appeal of Akira's character as a human being, and make him the driving force for pulling the story along. For that reason, Inoue-san was the best choice for screenwriter. Another thing is that I want people to think is, "This is kinda stylish." I want it to give off the feel that this is a story that's happening right now, in the year 1996, and no other time. I want to properly capture the feeling of "Now" in my work. In that case, we, the staff of Changerion, are thinking of creating a completely new work without being bound by the existing image of a hero, so please look forward to it." _
Main Cast
"Why is this guy like this? And of all people…he's Changerion."
Suzumura Detective Agency Main Character: Akira Suzumura, is the head of the detective agency. Although he pretends to be a first rate detective, the work he receives is always something like searching for lost dogs and cats, and, he's constantly running into debt.
Akira Suzumura (Takashi Hagino): A naturally happy go lucky person. By chance, he's exposed to the Crystal Power and gains the power of Changerion, but he's not aware of being a warrior. He loves banana parfaits.
Akemi Tachibana (Mie Hayashi): A college student and a part time employee of the Suzumura Detective Agency. She's a reliable person and is practically in charge of the office. Her family runs a guest house in Iwate.
SAIDOC Members: Katsuhiko Hayami (Kazunari Aizawa), Takeshi Munakata (Noboru Ichiyama), Eri Minami (Chika Kochihira) A special agency established by scientist Takeshi Munakata in preparation for the DarkZide invasion. As a trump card, he carries out the Changerion Project using recovered DarkZide technology, but, all of it was accidentally taken by Akira, and the agency is in trouble financially.
Super Light Knight: 3 droids developed by SAIDOC to support Changerion. Each of them has the ability to transform from robot mode to vehicle mode.
DarkZide: Higher life forms that emerged in the Dark Dimension and evolve differently from humans. They disguise themselves as humans and hide in society. They're monsters whose purpose is to absorb "Larmu," the biological energy of humans. _
Interview with Toshiki Inoue
-Akira is quite honestly an incredible superhero-
"Inoue-san, have you been involved with Changerion since the planning stage?
Inoue: I have. We've been planning since the days of "Android Hakaider." So, since this would be the start of a brand new show, I thought it'd be better to break away from the existing hero genre. That being the case, I was certain that comedy was the way to go, and that comedy is the way to go from now on. I don't have anything to back up this claim (laughs).
"How did you create the main character?"
Inoue: In the beginning, he wasn't going to be a detective. He'd be a "fugitive". Like that old American TV series. I was trying to do a comedy with "The Fugitive" in mind, but it just didn't work out. It ended up becoming too dark (laughs). It's funnier when fugitives run away laughing like crazy. And since they're never in a single spot, it's hard to determine their location. That's why I made him a detective.
"In reality, being a detective is pretty plain, and isn't a very cheerful profession."
Inoue: That's right. Akira used to do pretty boring work before he became Changerion, didn't he? But, he's got a playful spirit even in his mundane work, so he has fun carrying a gun and acting pretentious. Characters like that are so important to me in that, it doesn't matter what their occupation is. It doesn't matter if he's a fugitive or a detective. He happened to become a detective by chance because it'd be easier to tell the story as a detective.
"The fact that the main character becomes a hero by chance is similar to Jetman."
Inoue: That's right. That's why there's only two ways to create a hero. Either it's someone who's selected and chosen, or it's someone that shouldn't have been selected but becomes a hero anyway. For me, I like the latter.
"The enemy's setup isn't really depicted within the show."
Inoue: Executives are becoming alot more unnecessary. When I start a show, even if I want to do something new, I don't change my mind so quickly, so I thought that things like an evil organization and other detailed settings were all necessary. But, as we started and the drama progressed, my expectations became different in a positive way. I began to think that we could do without all that. I can say that because the story is moving along. So, you know, it's easier to understand Changerion if you think of it as just a detective drama. It doesn't have to be a so called hero story, where it's split up by allies and enemies who then fight each other. It also doesn't have to be like a final episode, where the enemy is finally defeated and the story ends. But, the scenario is difficult. If this were a normal hero story, I could do the whole show with just one idea, but it's a comedy, so I have to come up with alot of material, so it's…..it's abit tiring, isn't it? (laughs).
"What would Inoue-san consider to be his image of a hero?"
Inoue: It would be a guy who's complacent. When faced with a crisis, everyone goes into a state of panic, so I think that having composure in such a situation is a strong point. That's why Akira is quite honestly an incredible superhero, now that I just thought about it (laughs).

Cookie Run Kimura AU - Major Arcana Cards
This is something I've written down slightly over a month ago, with the intention of drawing some Cookie Run Tarot Card Fanart! 🃏
Since there was a lot of things in my mind (ranging from other art ideas popping to currently ongoing writers block) I wasn't exactly able to find the time to draw. 😅
Herb Kimura is the only one I drew a Cookie Run Tarot Card for, with him representing the Sun Arcana. But I still have the idea to draw the other cards soon! 🪴
Out of all the tarot cards, I only plan to draw some for each of the Major Arcana Cards. Since they're the most well-known, and I also didn't want to think so much for the other cards in the deck. 🎀
There's also multiple cookies listed on most of them. However I plan to narrow it down to drawing 1-2 cookies (separate art when it comes to the latter) 🌱

To the anon who sent the Kill la Kill asks: I'm sorry, but I was so hurt by the reception that my posts on that topic received that I'm really not interested in discussing it any further.
But I think this post might be relevant:
If my “Kill la Kill Resources” page is any indication, I clearly value understanding what artists were trying to do with a work. That said, I do also value “Author is Dead” (to an extent). An example that comes to my mind is the Gurren Lagann parallel work “The Sense of Wonder,” which I’ve written about here (and also here, but I think the first link is more relevant). I dislike the message that director Akemi Hayashi was going for with the ending, and this does impact how I feel about the work to a degree, but I wouldn’t say that this knowledge changes how I’d rate the short. It’s still absolutely beautiful and fantastically done. But then, some intended messages are so vile that they would impact my rating, regardless of how I felt about the work prior to knowing. tl;dr, personally, I do think author intentions matter and do try to consider them, but whether or not they affect my feelings about the work’s quality really depends.

Elysia's story: Chapter #3 Preparation and Start of school.
POV: Elysia Hayashi.
After the training session with Shin, I sat down in the shade of a nearby tree to enjoy the pleasant weather. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves, creating a serene tranquility.
As I rested, I couldn't help but recall my humiliating defeat at the hands of Shin just minutes ago.
I tried asking him to teach me his moves, or at least give me some tips so that I could gradually learn to defend myself in that way, but all I got in response was:
"As eager as you are to learn and improve, there are things that simply can't be taught. The moves I used... or rather, the thought process that led me to move that way, is largely a result of past experiences. Even if I could teach you, it might not suit your style. Instead of getting stuck on that, you should work on improving your weaknesses, and through time and the experience of facing various opponents, your fighting style will be honed."
Ah, I'd like to think that this could be a great lesson to learn, but in reality, I got the impression that he simply gave that response as a way to dodge and escape. Surely, he could have provided some insights or training to improve my moves.
But well, I guess I should be more grateful for his help.
Improving my weaknesses, huh?
If only I could better utilize my mana, or have a better understanding of its effects and limitations, I could use it more effectively and create variations.
But...
How could I do that?
Unlike common spells, where I could find others to teach me, I've never heard of anyone using mana in this way. Even though similar effects can be achieved with other spells, I can't see how I can learn from that. I'm not even sure what type of magic mine is.
Maybe it's derived from dark magic?
My sisters also have unusual magic. Yumi, my youngest sister, can use a kind of "neutral mana," or something like that, where the mana she produces is very similar to the mana in the atmosphere. This gives her more ability to create skills, and if she can improve her control and knowledge of mana, she might even be able to use elements from different manas.
Akemi, my older sister, has even more unusual abilities. She also has some familiarity with "neutral mana," but in a more complex way. The mana she produces has much greater pressure, almost as if it's extremely dense. Moreover, she can create or summon objects, like swords or simple weapons, even though they are made of mana. She does it in huge numbers, and the more she focuses, the better the creation. Besides that, she has mental abilities, but I don't know much about it, just that she's great at reading people.
My brothers have common abilities. Kirin has control over fire, and Kaito over wind. They are basically masters of their elements, especially Kaito, who can do extremely complex things with his mana. They were very competitive, especially in school. Kaito was very strong and improved every day, besides being very charismatic. Kirin was seen as a genius.
Unfortunately, Kaito is missing...
After going on a mission and not returning, his teammates came back without any casualties, but Kaito, who was leading, ended up getting separated from the group. Since then, Kirin has become even more closed off than ever.
I'm sure Kaito is alive somewhere...
If I were as talented as Akemi, I could be called for missions by the National Tactical Security Agency (NTSA). After graduation, I declared that I would go there, so I could find out more about what's happening and even investigate, but...

Opening my eyes I can perceive the sunset, I got lost in thoughts, it seems like this has been happening frequently lately.
Thinking about these things won't help at all, what I should do is improve what I can, and not waste energy on what I can't change.
Even if I'm not talented... I'll keep going, I'll keep learning and improving.
After some time, I decide to end the training for today and return to the mansion, in a room with the door open on the way to my room, I noticed Yumi studying, and I join her for a while.
Apparently she is very anxious about the return of classes, with the help of her, I believe it's her best friend, a girl who studies in my class, she managed to skip a level and will be in our class this year.
As she has made a great effort to skip this grade and graduate with us, she ended up being anxious not to fall behind and decided to review what she learned in Level 8 and what she should learn in Level 9, as I was in Level 9 last year I can provide some assistance.
After seeing how much she was studying, I believe she is not behind at all, she probably learned as well as I did, if not more.
Arriving in the room, I hurry to take a shower, so I can throw myself on the bed and relax, when I arrived at the mansion I grabbed some things in the kitchen to eat so I won't even bother going downstairs to eat.
With the return of classes, I'll probably have little time to train, and since Shin has suspended sword training, there's not much to do.
Since this is going to take up so much of my time, I believe it's worth the effort, given that this year is also the last.
After drying my hair and putting on comfortable clothes, I search in the closet for last year's things, I think it would be good to review my report card and the teachers' observations.
In one of the drawers, I find the Notebook from last year, although it was recommended to have one for each subject, and many students had to use more than one, I used only one for the entire year for all subjects.
There are several reasons, of course, I've always been good with academic content and learning easily, I also believe that writing down everything that seems important is ineffective, I doubt that students will go back to read their stacks of notebooks, although this may seem like an excuse for laziness, it clearly isn't, I didn't just ignore the exercises and read the theory, it's for... efficiency, yes, for efficiency...
Setting that aside, I actually made several notes, but only after reflecting on a subject and deciding it's worth reviewing and reinforcing that idea, in addition to improving the study, it also allows me to have a different perspective when reflecting from a different point of view.

This ranking allows for a comparison between students from different classes, promoting healthy competition and encouraging academic and personal growth for each student.
Our meritocratic system prioritizes the individual development of each student, recognizing their unique abilities and encouraging them to surpass their limits. However, it is important to emphasize that we also care about the emotional and psychological well-being of the students, promoting a supportive and understanding environment.
We hope that this system encourages our students to become successful and fulfilled citizens, prepared to face the challenges of the future. Our school has 10 grades, and the best students have the opportunity to complete high school in 7 to 10 years, depending on their performance and progress.

Well, I think it's good. I probably could have gotten an A+ in Physical Abilities if I had put in more effort.
In mana control, with my current abilities this year, my grade may drop to a B or C, as I believe they were less strict last year, and this year they want to test the students' abilities.
And my list only contains 1 item, so... to avoid this, I need to delve deeper into the investigation of my powers.
I have some ideas, but first I will let the return to classes become routine, and everything calm down.
After that, the fatigue overcame me, and I decided to try to get a good night's sleep.
In recent days, no major events have marked everyday life. Time passes smoothly like the breeze that carries flower petals. People go unnoticed as the wind passes by, unaware that time carries them away. In this peaceful scene, I took the opportunity to prepare and, in what remained, train with more intensity, always appreciating this tranquility, trying to gather some of these 'petals', and valuing every moment of serenity.
Naturally, the day of the start of classes arrived, and the strong sun streamed into the room as I opened the window curtains. It was the herald of a busy day, as always. After getting ready, I went to the kitchen and had my breakfast.
I did some simple exercises to wake up and prepare for the day. I found it strange that Yumi was absent in the morning, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was already at school; I believe she's probably with Ayumi.
After my morning routine, there was still about an hour left before the start of classes, which I used to quietly read a book until I realized that I was 10 minutes late.
I had decided to purposefully be late to avoid all the excitement of the opening of classes, the speeches, and, especially, the eager students trying to manipulate the school's system. Some were so arrogant as to challenge older students in a desperate attempt to climb the ranks.
Even though this didn't directly involve my class or me, I probably held the second or third position in the school's ranking. As foolish as a student might be, they wouldn't dare challenge someone at the top or at level 10, I suppose.
As planned, I arrived after all the presentations. I looked at a sheet posted in the main hall and found the classroom for Level 10 this year.
Passing through the corridors, I see many students around, forming groups. I can't say for sure if there are more new students or not, but every year it seems like there are too many students.
But that's probably just a false impression.
In the classroom, almost all the students are already there. I notice only two students from Class B who were promoted to Class A, which is the difference from last year, aside from Yumi.
Yumi was already sitting at a table in the front of the class next to her friend Ayumi, who sat in the exact same place as last year. Due to the look on Yumi's face, I decided to approach them and greet them.
Elysia: Good morning, Yumi, and good morning, Ayumi.
Ayumi: Good morning, Elysia.
Yumi: Good morning, you're late, Elysia!
Elysia: It seems that class hasn’t started yet, right?
Yumi: No, not yet.
Elysia: Then I'm not technically late, since I didn't miss anything.
Yumi: You missed the speeches!
Elysia: It's not a big loss.
After this small exchange, I made my way to the back of the class, despite Yumi's anxious gaze, which seemed to expect me to sit near them. Ayumi watched everything from the corner of her eye and made a "I already knew" face in response to Yumi's disappointed expression. At the end of the room on the left, the last desk was still empty, and I chose it.
Ironically, as soon as I settled in and was gazing out the window, Akihiro appeared at the door. He specifically looked at the desk where I was sitting and made his way to the opposite side of the classroom in the back on the right.
Last year, I had arrived after him, and he took the seat I wanted. This time, it seems that I calculated better and had a small "victory" against the top student in the school.
A few moments later, Ayumi stood up and came over to my desk.
Ayumi Sato (歩美 佐藤), if I'm not mistaken, I caught a glimpse of her report card from last year, as far as I recall, here were her grades:
Physical Ability: B
Academic Ability: B
Group Work: A+
Mana Control: A
General Skills: B
Sociability: A+
The gentle and hardworking Ayumi, an older student with whom I started studying in Class 5-B.
Although she is older than me at 20, her skills are exceptional, and she ranks 3rd in the class. Some years ago, due to names very similar to each other, she and Yumi met by chance and became best friends. In part, it's because of their personalities, I believe.
Seeing Yumi's excellent results in her previous classes, she believed that Yumi could catch up and graduate in the same class as her. So, she took it upon herself to help as much as possible, so that Yumi could jump a year and also demonstrate that she should go straight to Class A, which is unusual as, normally, anyone who jumps a level, regardless of how good they are, is placed in Class B or lower.
However, if all of Yumi's grades were A+ and she showed that she mastered the subjects from levels 8 and 9, the school could place her in Class A. According to Ayumi, to have even more chance, Yumi should learn several skills that would help her grade in "General Skills." I helped Yumi learn the basics, about postures and movements, and a little about the path of the sword.
This wasn't of great value for a fight, given that I myself haven't been learning for very long, and Yumi has a limited physique for this fighting style. But the important thing was for her to demonstrate that she knew these skills and thus improve even more in the teachers' assessment.
Ayumi's plan worked out, the role she had was much bigger than mine, and Yumi's effort was rewarded, but I have never seen a person help others so much.
This altruism in helping her colleagues probably prevented her from skipping levels and already graduating. It is clear that she was never in difficulty and never came close to failing, but I still can't help but think of it as foolishness. But in the end, it was this "foolishness" that brought the best friends together, so I don't know what to think about her.
Yumi, just like me, skipped the second level and now, by skipping the ninth level, she managed to catch up to me. She is now 18 years old and I am 19 years old.
There's also another figure who has been a classmate for a few years, he is 19 years old.
Akihiro Takeshi (昭宏武).
The brilliant student who holds the top position in the current ranking, an isolated student who is flawless in class.
He and I have been in the same class since 3-A, always occupying the 1st and 2nd places, and I faced him 5 times, winning the first two and losing the last three consecutively.
The big thing is that he and I never really had a "rivalry," however, his selfish and closed personality in contrast to Ayumi's kind and altruistic personality started a great rivalry between the two, with me right in the middle of it.
Ayumi believes that if Akihiro were to use his talent, he would help many classmates and that would be very good. Akihiro, however, does not see the value of wasting time or making an effort for others and ignores Ayumi.
That's why Ayumi is determined to surpass Akihiro and then prove that if people help each other, they will become stronger, stronger than anyone who decides to go a solitary path.
Ayumi: Hello, Elysia! I want to thank you for all the help you have been giving to Yumi. I am very happy that she is now in our class.
Elysia: No need to thank me. As her sister, it's the least I should do. In fact, I should be the one thanking you. Your collaboration has been crucial for Yumi, so thank you very much for your help.
With a slightly embarrassed gesture and shaking hands, Ayumi responds:
Ayumi: You don't need to thank me. I really enjoy Yumi's company and I also benefit from it.
Elysia: If you say so, but it was still a great help.
Ayumi: Anyway, I think this year the classes will be much more exhausting because it's the last year. What do you think?
Elysia: Probably. I believe most students will aim to join the National Tactical Security Agency (NTSA). The school will be stricter to ensure they are prepared.
Ayumi: Yes, I think the same. Are you going to enlist?
Elysia: Definitely. And you? I'm sure you could do really well and quickly rise to higher positions.
Ayumi: Well, I'll enlist and see how it goes. I believe it might be a good place to help people, at least that's the premise I have learned about the NTSA. But first I want to see for myself how things work there.
Elysia: I believe that in no time you could reach a Rank B and get the license to become a teacher. What do you think? I think it suits you.
Ayumi: Uhm... I haven't thought that far ahead. From what I know, it's very difficult to get a promotion, and we haven't even graduated yet. I'll focus on this year before thinking about anything.
Elysia: Yes, of course.
Before returning to her seat, Ayumi says:
Ayumi: If it's not too much trouble, if someone in our class is having problems and Yumi and I can't help, can I count on your help?
Elysia: I don't know how I could help if you can't even do it.
Elysia: But... if it's within my capabilities, I believe I would agree to help. Don't have high expectations of me.
Looking satisfied, she gives a small gentle smile and makes a slight bow as if she is content.
Ayumi: Thank you very much!
After this interaction, the Professor arrived and in the following days, there was a brief review of the subjects, followed by small tests in various fields.
As expected, Ayumi assumed the position of class leader with her exceptional effort, achieving impressive results. Yumi also achieved great results, but it is believed that her ascent will be slow due to the situation of skipping a level.
Faced with Ayumi's rise, Akihiro showed total disinterest, remaining unexpressive and bored during the exercises, which led him to fall to the third position, below mine.
Instead of getting angry at his attitude, Ayumi showed admirable maturity and redoubled her efforts to achieve the best grades, helping the other classmates. Her inexhaustible energy made it difficult for me to surpass her, and the competition for first place became even more intense.
However, the atmosphere changed drastically when the Professor announced a special event for the next week, an exam that will be crucial for the class's progress. As he delivered the news, a sense of expectation and nervousness took over the room. His serene yet grave look conveyed the seriousness and importance of the challenge presented, instilling in everyone the notion that this exam represented a significant milestone in their progress as students. It was evident that the following week would be one of intense preparation to face this new challenge

Another entry that music-loving necromancer, Licorice Chandler, wrote in his diary. 📓
