akechi is so interesting to me because he sucks so bad. love when a guy is doomed by the narrative and it's so fucked (complimentary) that he's so desperate that he's willing to kill the only person who really understood him. but i think the fantasy of the joker/akechi ship, especially in an imagined post-canon where akechi lives and everything's just Fine, does BOTH their characters such a disservice. akechi is a foil to the PTs and a reflection of the fucked up social forces they're working against, and because joker knows this he's willing to give akechi multiple chances to work together despite everything he's done. bc of his empathy and his understanding that things didn't have to turn out this way for any of them. reducing all of that to "they were pining for each other" completely erases all of the thematic complexity and character development that makes their dynamic interesting in the first place!!

SLAMS HANDS ON TABLE eXACTLY. Like. The whole... social link is getting to know a guy who's lying to your face. You get little bits here and there but it's not until it's too late that you realize (these are interesting) and then all of that being taken at face value is VERY‼️

ALSo and forgiVE me for throwing shade at shekky but Joker wanting him to come back isn't "I want to be with the guy who GETS me" it's "I want this guy to face consequences like Kamoshida and the others did" and "I don't want to be separated from my beloved friends (who are EVERYTHING TO ME) to sit my ass in JAIL FOR TWO MONTHS" which HAPPENS and is so FUCKED because p5 establishes that dying is the easy way out w/ kamoshida and guess who WENT AND DIED- because the "Stay" ending shows that that's what Joker's wish was in the end and not JUST Akechi and auuugh rolls joker around like a katamari and wails.

what i love about the royal trio and the time we play as just them is that, in constrast with the phantom thieves (group of friends who share a goal, care deeply about each other and get along greatly), the royal trio is quite possibly the worst team in existance. they're so bad at being a team that it works. sumire doesn't even know she's sumire and is relatively new to personas, akechi is always two decisions away from leaving them to go on a killing rampage, and joker for the first time after 100 hours of gameplay doesn't really know what he's doing. amazing. they're so unbelievably funny

So, Akechi was in the hospital now thanks to her helping or rather, forcing him to go. She had gotten some blood all over her and now her clothes were ruined until she got the properly cleaned. Which given how hard it was to get blood stains out of clothing, was going to be a hard task for sure. What was more important though was that he was going to be okay, which he was.

What happened next wasn't surprising but still a factor she wasn't even considering at the time. The fact that the media was going to find out and take his agency about announcing his own return. On one hand she wasn't going to let him die, but on the other it must have hurt even more to have that stripped away from him.

Well, all she could do was go day to day like she was, pretending like she was shocked and surprised at his sudden revival, even though she was one of the first people who figured out he was alive, at least those who weren't taking care of him in the psyche ward. She sat in her computer chair as she was playing games on her PC and just thinking about some things. "Sorry Akechi, but it had to be done..."

A couple years ago, I wore my “Anti Akechi Akechi Club” shirt to a con and posted a photo to Twitter. Idk why, but a handful of Akechi haters took it personally and called me ugly, and a handful of die hard Goroboys called me offensive for hating Akechi. Neither of these things are true, but it’s testament to how polarizing he apparently is that people read that shirt both ways, when the shirt was just a gag gift my two friends bought me when I was doing the internship from hell and kept quoting his Navi lines to cope with guests throwing mugs at me

I've been thinking that i might be Matt Murdock, having strong kin feels and some stuff that might be memories, i've also been watching Daredevil (of course), but honestly I still don't understand how the process of kinsidering has to be? I usually just go ahead and go crazy and just kinfirm straight ahead the characters i slightly feel like they fit, sometimes I'll do some pendulum questions but, do i have to do something else? I honestly don't know, i want to be serious with this one kin, i don't know why. I've also been thinking of re-kinsidering all of my fictotypes, doing some more thinking and doing it "properly". I've had past kins that were strong, some of them have changed over time, some i found other words to describe them, i also want to make a lot of soul searching (i don't even know how that's done but whatever, i'll find out). hi anon, this ask is so cool. the others already covered it but i personally think that there’s no “proper” way to kin and it varies person to person :3 just do whatever feels right to you! sometimes you just know right away you kin and other times it takes the stars aligning in one really specific way to unlock the kin. as for the questions: i’m unfortunately a super picky eater so there’s not a lot of variety in foods i can handle </3 i don’t like salads generally and unless the mac is made in one really specific way chances are i won’t like it. - mod akechi

Was she going to keep in contact with him? It was yet to be determined. Probably anyways, as she scrolled through her texts that she had sent via a burner number she set up. She still had the ability to fake her number for just these events. It worked out really well, though next time that she contacted him, it would be via her personal number. Now it was time to head back home, to decompress and reflect on everything...

He had to admit, that was a bit to drop on someone randomly. And thinking back on it, it seemed to have been a habit of his even before they knew his intentions. Back when he was feigning the detective prince role. Either way, it looked like their meeting was over now.
