send me a † with a url and I’ll kiss them. - [[ @hana-akari ]]
Ah, kissing Sakura, huh? Well, however was she going to make this whole situation more fun?
Why she'd kiss the wife everywhere but the one place she'd truly wanted. of course. She'd start with a kiss on the forehead, then another on one cheek before moving on to the other. A couple on the neck just to further tease the woman, but never aiming for the lips, which she knew could possibly rile up the woman.

"A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and a man cannot live without love." -Max Müller
Ino keeps finding flowers around her apartment.
Not - unusual, given her predisposition towards all things blooming, with her family's florist shop and a few of her own ninjutsu utilizing poison plants and the like. Someone who doesn't know her might assume her comfortable little home would be filled to the brim with all assortments of flowers, in every conceivable shape and colour; she'd like to, maybe one day. But truth be told it isn't practical, when she's called off at all hours for missions or anything the Intelligence Division might need of her. Green thumb she might be, but even her flowers will wilt and die if they haven't been watered, if there's no one around for long enough to pull open the curtains and let sunlight in.
Unless she had the mokuton. Perhaps it could be used for regrowth, once flowers are withered and roots are broken. The Shodai was possessed of incredible instinctive regenerative healing, maybe there's a connection there; she should ask Sakura about it, she knows Tsunade better than almost anyone -
Ino shakes her head to dispel her wandering thoughts. So, she only has a few; too busy being pulled in a dozen different directions to focus on a small hobby. Some cheerful camellias growing in a little pot in the corner of her small balcony. A cactus from Suna that Temari had given her when they'd become closer friends. And - she flushes pink from her ears to her chest, reaching out to run the edge of her thumb over the impossibly soft petal of the snowstorms growing in the windowsill of her bedroom. The clustered blooms hate too much sun, content to sit in the shade and grow only the smallest bit at a time. But once they bloom, they're as lovely as the brightest rose. Snow-white petals dusted with black. Unusual, for customarily colourful things like flowers. But they remind her of Sai, and so she keeps them close.
A keen eye for detail is something that had been learned from a young age, necessary as a Yamanaka who has to pick apart the endless threads of memory to find any discrepancies or deception, a quick and clever mind the least someone needs for that particular line of work. It even helps with the shop, remembering dates and numbers and the sheer amount of different care that goes into each species of flower. Soil pH levels and moving pots around to chase sunlight, orders and organization and -
Still. It doesn't take an expert to notice that flowers keep ending up in her apartment. Elegantly drawn kinmokusei on an otherwise blank and unsigned page, slipped under her door. Some origami lotuses left on her balcony, the brightly coloured paper so impossibly thin and delicate that she'd been terrified they'd fall apart in her hands. And, most recently, a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and morning glory, tied with a ribbon and sitting beside her forgotten cup of coffee from the night before on the coffee table.
A bit weird. Slightly terrifying, even. But she knows they're from Sai, knows that he's a bit different. Doesn't understand boundaries, not quiet yet; or maybe he does, and thinks it better to leave her small tokens without saying a word in order to keep her comfortable. Regardless he's ... uniquely him. And she loves it, loves all of it; thinks it sweet, endearing, almost admirable. He doesn't lie, heart an open book; wants to learn all he can about everything around him, after so long kept locked in the dark. Not many would make that choice.
Although breaking into her apartment to leave her floral tokens might not be the best way of going about trying to talk to her.
Anyone could take one look at Ino's life and know she loves flowers. Takes pride in her family's bush clover symbol -a symbol of love, most commonly unrequited; she wonders if her father's last words of comparing her to the delicate purple blooms might be a bit more on the nose than even he realized- and finds respite in running Yamanaka Flowers. Ino may be working to rise through the ranks of the Intelligence Division, with the rest of her time outside her squad and friends spent in the little flower shop. She finds a certain level of comfort and familiarity, breathes deep in the greenhouse at the rear of the building and hears her father's laughter. She's been surrounded on all sides, all her life, but nature and growth and beauty. It's a Yamanaka staple, as much as their cold and calculating eyes and the ghost stories of broken minds.
Flowers are everywhere. And yet nobody had gotten her any before.
Ino guesses that they all assume she'd hate it, find them boring, seeing as she's surrounded by them all the time. But flowers have an intrinsic beauty and deeper meaning, and knowing the language of them -hidden and yet obvious in different colours, in each bulb and leaf- is something she's proud of. Flowers have long been used to express emotions that words cant always convey, and a blushing and girlish part of her thinks it's all rather perfect, wrapped up in a neat little package. Sai's trying to tell her something, the best way he knows how when it comes to her. The flower girl and the boy unknowing. Sakura would laugh herself blue.
Ino knows the flowers aren't from her shop. Her mother is many things, but coy doesn't happen to be one of them. She cant keep a secret to save her life -another irony, considering which clan she married into- and loves nothing more than to butt into her daughter's love life. If Sai had come to the shop, she would know; she'd made the mistake of telling her mom about her budding crush before the war, and then brought him up again when the dust had settled and they'd forged ... something, after she'd helped save him in the Land of Silence. So no, if he'd come around the florist, Ino would never hear the end of it.
They haven't even sold any morning glories in the past week, either; and still the rounded blue flowers are spruced throughout the tightly clustered hydrangeas. She knows it's Sai, being endearingly and mystifyingly silent for once, instead of the blunt presence he usually is. She also knows there isn't any other florist worth a grain of salt, and can hedge a guess that he wouldn't pick another even if there wasn't. He undoubtedly would have asked Sakura for advice, as she's Ino's friend and knows at least the basic language of flowers from their time in the academy. Blue hydrangeas for gratitude at being understood, morning glory for affection. Her blush returns; maybe it's a coincidence, and he'd picked the flowers because the pale blues and dusky purples are reminiscent of her -
She's thinking in circles again. Ino picks up the bouquet and deposits them into a pretty glass vase with fresh water and a pinch of sugar to keep them bright. She's the town gossip, and a Yamanaka to boot. She knows everything about everyone, before anyone else. So where the hell is he getting the flowers?
-----
The answer, it turns out, was right under her nose. Maybe Ino does need to listen to her mother and keep the hair out of her eyes, she might just start seeing the things laid plain right in front of her.
The pieces drop together when she spots a book on flower language tucked beneath a haphazard pile of medical texts on Sakura's table. Her best friend laughs it off, pushes it further under the loose papers and thick books; it makes Ino narrow her eyes, but she lets it go. Tucks the information away for later.
She runs into Akari just outside the Hokage Tower, exchanging smiles and hellos before going about their business. Only, the former ROOT nin stops and asks her if she'd had time to speak to her adopted son about his troubles with flowers.
Sai, she says, had been asking her for advice on how to keep a small garden alive. She and Obito had been tending one together for some months now, apparently; nowhere near the expert, Akari smiles at Ino and vaguely nudges her in Sai's direction, citing that she could give him far better advice than Akari could.
Ino smiles and laughs, mentions that she'll find him when she can, and wanders into the Tower as though the integrity of her knees hadn't just fallen apart. It all comes together: the mysterious source of the flowers dropped by her home had come from Sai in every definition; and he'd gone a step further to find out what they mean. All the information coming together in her mind in a rush of rampant affection, as Ino touches the tips of her fingers to her mouth and grins unashamedly.
"Oh," she murmurs to herself, a breathless sort of laugh leaving her in a gust.
-----
Ino goes to his apartment, after she'd spent time meticulously planning (snooping) to ensure they'd both be in the village at the same time. Had cornered Sakura and convinced (threatened) her to spill the details on Sai's newfound appreciation for all things floral, and had discovered through her clever means (buying all the drinks and snacks for girls night) that Sakura had indeed been digging through her old academy books on Sai's request for anything to do with the language of flowers. He doesn't do anything by halves, and research is a trusted friend of his. Small and silly as it all sounds to say aloud, Ino finds herself even more besotted with him when she stands at his front door, spotting the telltale bits of soil scattered over the mat.
She carefully shifts her bouquet from one hand to the other, smoothing out her hair before reaching out to rap on the door with her knuckles. The leaves on the gardenias tickle her collarbone -the flowers are red, for secret love- when she cradles them to her chest, the camellias filling her nose with their sweet scent. Pink, this time. For longing.
She'd always been the one to wear her heart on her sleeve, telling anyone who would listen just how she felt. She thinks back on her crush on Sasuke and how she'd let it dictate her whole life for too many years, and thinks, not for the first time, that maybe she should really think things through this time.
And she has, she has. She'd seen his mind, his heart. Glimpsed what he craved -stability, acceptance, peace- and knew without a shadow of a doubt she could provide. And Sai, in kind, would cradle her heart in scarred and blood-soaked hands that could never, would never, hurt her as others had.
The door opens, and all her planning and consideration ceases in a breath. Sai stands there with dark brows raised, and all at once she feels a fresh wave of anxiety grip her heart.
"These are for you," Ino blurts out before he can say anything, all but shoving the bouquet at his chest. "From me. To you." Let him understand, she silently begs any who will listen.
Sai blinks once, head tilting to the side as he looks from the flowers to her face and back again. There's a light dusting of pink across his face which really shouldn't be as sweet as it is, but even still Ino feels her heart thunder beneath her ribs. She doesn't - know how to come out and say it, not something like this. Even after everything, she's still almost afraid; an alien sensation, but this, Sai, is more important than anything that has come before.
"Pink camellia," Sai murmurs as he carefully plucks the bound stems from her hand. He studies them for a moment, holding them delicately. "And red gardenia. Interesting."
...
That's all he has to say? After she'd spent hours pouring over notes and books and rushing back and forth between her place and Sakura's, after nearly talking herself out of this? After her mind rushing in circles, thinking his gifts had been coincidence and not a declaration for how he felt, after days spent worrying over what to say and how to act, before finally deciding to let the flowers speak for her as he had done, after -
"Thank you," Sai says to her, in a tone far more gentle than she has ever heard from him. It's enough to have her blinking up at him, blowing a lock of hair from her face as her cheeks go as red as sunset. "I wasn't certain how to go about telling you, but it's a relief you understood. Sakura called me an idiot an uncharitable amount of times."
"You are an idiot," Ino responds breathlessly without a second thought, words tumbling out before she can think them through, though the corner of her mouth quirks up. "You should have told me."
"I did," he says with a quirk to his brow, before stepping back from the door and gesturing behind him into the sunlit hall. "I just wanted to get things right, first."
Ino glances past him, taking a step closer to get a better look. And stares.
His walls are filled with art, classical and elegant and bright and bold, each of them a piece of his heart and feelings. But what takes her breath away, is the sight of numerous pots and vases and the odd hanging planter. His home is filled to the brim with greenery at various states of growth, from fresh buds to full and healthy leaves. A few of them are dead or dying, but it's - it's beautiful. Ino steps past Sai to enter, hit full force with the scent of flowers and damp soil, as familiar and comforting to her as the florist. She reaches a hand towards him without even glancing his way as something warm and bright and bursting fills her veins, fingers tangling in the loose sleeve of his shirt.
"You've been growing all of these," she whispers needlessly as all at once the realization hits her harder than a chakra-packed punch, fingertips pressed to her mouth. He's long been making an effort to understand people better, and now he's gone the extra mile to understand Ino, specifically, better. How to speak to her through the flowers she grows, how to make them bloom.
Her hand drops back to her side, the burn of unshed tears at the back of her throat making her breath catch. She's touched, honored, humbled. She's loved.
"You wanted to learn about what I loved, so you could love it too." She thinks of the messy canvases and chipped paint bottles she has stuffed into her closet, of the hours spent sitting on her living floor with her tongue peeking between her teeth as she aggressively attacked blank pages with grays and yellows and purples. Trying to see and feel what he does. Finding peace and delight and a dozen other emotions, and thinking to herself that she understood why he preferred tangible things to words, sometimes.
The bouquet gets crushed between them as Ino throws her arms over his shoulders, burying her face in his neck. Sai makes a panicked noise, low in his throat, in concern for the flowers; she smiles at that, laughter puffing over his skin when she only squeezes him tighter.
"Thank you," she whispers, unable to form the proper words but knowing he'll understand regardless.
Sai doesn't hesitate, this time, when he carefully wraps an arm around her middle, hand splayed over the small of her back. Presses his nose to her hair, and inhales the smell of flowers. "You're welcome."
-----
The trouble with flowers doesn't always lay in helping them grow. Helping hands coming together to nurture and to heal, to find commonality and bonds even with things left unsaid. But - they aren't unsaid, not really. Just because no words are used doesn't mean that there is the lack of transparency or honesty. The trouble with flowers, it turns out, seems to be when two people bond together over a mutual love and appreciation for one another as well as their passions. Ino realizes this one day when she notices Sai's apartment positively overflowing with bush clovers and hydrangeas and roses, the both of their efforts combined making something utterly beautiful and so very them. She decides, then and there, that she wants her home filled with tangible affection; to be his home, too.
(If she asks him to move in with her by way of moving all his flowers to a bigger house located just down the road from the florist, well. She left him a sprig of marigolds sticking out of his shoe. He'll figure it out.)
The trouble with flowers isn't helping them grow. The growing is the easy part. The trouble lays, instead, in helping them thrive. They have grown, they have blossomed. In their own private garden of warmth and hope and peace, together they will flourish.

I'd like to thank @hkzv for drawing my boy again, as one last Pride Month piece. I had this image in mind for a while because I wanted to write a small scene to go with it. And the nice touch Hkzv put into the art of matching Kouta's hoodie to the binder truly is such a sweet thing.
In addition to my boy Kouta and his Raijuu, there is also a little cameo from @uchihashisuii 's wonderful girl Akari Nara.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He makes sure to open and close the door gently when he finally returns home for the day after work. With an upbeat mood and unusually good energy level, he's in no rush and no hurry to destress and so has time to make sure he's careful with everything he does. But it seems even his muted volume actions have caught the attention of someone else who is currently home. While Kouta takes off his shoes, hoping he hasn't tracked in too much dirt with him, he fails to notice the brown eyes that peek around the corner at him to examine who has entered the home. And when he looks up again to see himself being watched, he jumps just a little bit in surprise.
"How was it today?" Akari greets him, keeping her voice down so as not to jostle him more. She knows well by now how easy it is to startle the former Taki nin even on a good day. "You seem like you're feeling good."
Kouta collects his wits and puts on a smile for the Nara matriarch. She definitely didn't mean to catch him by surprise and he won't hold it against her. "I think it went well. It's good to have a day out of the shop anyway, didn't feel like getting so sweaty for hours working in close proximity to fire. I already need a shower badly and that wouldn't have helped. Probably going to take one before bed tonight."
She laughs to herself a little as she examines his usual outfit of choice and considers the irony. And to boot, the hoodie is definitely zipped up all the way today. But she's just glad that he has had a productive and easy day and so hopes that whatever he has planned for the rest of it only makes it better. Anything that takes his mind off the fact that his partner is absent, because said partner had told him not fixate and make himself feel more lonely, was a good thing. Kouta carefully unzips the hoodie now that his shoes are off but opts not to remove it entirely. At first she's unsure why but after examining him a little more she figures it out. Which is about when the hood itself moves slightly before a little furry head pokes out to look at her.
So he let the little beast have some time out today huh? At least it seemed to be behaving at a cursory glance. Whether that was because its chosen enemy was still absent today or not was unclear and Akari figured it was better she didn't know the answer to that question. Instead, she bids the two farewell as she still had business to attend to around the estate. "If you need anything you won't have trouble finding me. And don't hesitate to ask. Take care, Kouta."
He waves a little and returns the sentiment. It's a little formal but he tries to maintain that level of respect for his partner's mother.. "Thank you and take care. I'll see you around Ms. Nara."
Akari slips out of his sight in the next moment and he can hear another door open and close quickly as she heads to her next destination. Now it's most likely just him in the house as he knows Shisui is probably off on a mission and Sai is over with his fiance at the Yamanaka sector of the village, perhaps even helping her out in the flower shop. Kouta is overjoyed for him when he sees how happy Sai is with the life he's leading these days. That lovely woman Ino adores him more than anything else in the world and the two are so good together. Truthfully, the wedding couldn't come soon enough if you asked the ex Taki nin.
His train of thought is cut off then by the feeling of his animal companion scrambling out of his hood to drape across his shoulders like a gaudy but warm fur stole. In its clumsy movements the fabric of the hood clings to it and manages to work over his head as if he had put it on himself a little haphazardly. Rather than fix it yet, he let the Raijuu get comfortable again and settle down before he went and messed with its former choice of bed. And eventually the hood was forgotten altogether as he managed to make it to his room, train of thought still blissfully empty. By the time he realized he'd forgotten to fix it he didn't think it was necessary. No. There was something else that caught his eye in that moment that became his priority. And when he reached for it, his strange animal companion suddenly scurried down the length of his outstretched arm and tumbled onto the bed.
"Don't you try anything." He scolds, not taking his eyes off the bold little animal currently getting its bearings. Kouta thinks he knows what it's thinking and is proven right rather quickly.
The stray Raijuu, true to form, immediately grabs hold of the article of clothing lying on the foot of the bed with its little teeth and shakes it lightly. It knows exactly what it's doing and Kouta can only sigh as he watches on. After a moment, he reaches over with one hand as if to say 'give it here' but his constant companion only slinks further away from him. He knows it can understand him even if it can't talk back. He's aware of what's going on and he refuses to feed into the bad habit by yelling and chasing. This is not a game and eventually that will sink in.
"I know you can smell Shin on that binder because it belongs to them. I know you're doing this because you don't like them." He keeps his volume reasonable. No need to make a scene in the middle of the day. "They'll be home in a couple days and you gotta be nice to them. You gotta go easy, okay? They will need gentle care for a while and that means you're not allowed to be spiteful."
Its eyes lock with his for a few moments as if it's considering its next move internally. And, to his surprise, it begins to come over to him with the binder still held in its mouth. When he reaches over for it again the weasel relinquishes the item without a fuss despite looking like it wanted to continue to play keep away. Kouta brings the thing up out of its immediate reach and examines the binder closely, letting his mind wander, almost forgetting he's not alone in the bedroom. There isn't any damage to the well worn fabric caused by sharp little teeth thankfully. Though, even if there had been holes poked through, he would have made sure to repair each one carefully.
"Thank you for being nice this time." He manages to get out, a little spacey, and his weasely companion seems to finally give up the rowdy mood.
Now he holds the article of clothing up to eye level, looking at it from every angle, thinking about how long they must have had this particular one. There may not have been any bite punctures inflicted this time but it still showed its age and level of use plainly. It wasn't the same zipper one he had first seen on them years earlier. No, Shin had told him that that one was a gift from their mother after they had had some issues getting in and out of a pullover one as a teenager. At some point they had had this one made special. It was another pullover but they didn't mind since they had him around to help with removing it at the end of the day in the case that it was causing a problem. Kouta never minded the task. By now the colorful fabric, patterned like the agender flag, was wearing out bit by bit and seemed like it had been pretty stretched out. In any other version of events this is when he would have had a new one made for them. But thankfully the days of binders were finally over. He couldn't be happier for them at that fact.
"Yeah...I can't wait till they're home." He quietly talks to himself. It makes him almost not register the sensation of a small animal scaling his upper arm once more to rest across his shoulders. When he does fully notice, he very gently raises one hand to the Raijuu to stroke the fur on its head. "Can't say the same for you though, huh? You better be good to them or I'm not letting you have any out time for a while." Despite his scolding, he's laughing just a little. And his pouting pet makes no motions to suggest it's intending to give him any problems.
After a few more moments, Kouta sets the binder down on the end of the bed once more. He'll have to move it somewhere it won't fall on the floor later. And find a spot to store it as soon as his partner was back from their hospital stay as they no longer needed to wear it. He was missing them terribly the more he thought about it and almost wished he didn't have to go back to his shift at the shop tomorrow. Instead, he'd like to go see how they were recovering after the surgery. But they'd told him before all of it that it was better if he kept himself busy instead of worrying over them all week they had to stay for post-surgical care and monitoring. It pained him to say they had a point but he could find no way to argue with that logic. Shin knew his habits very well and thus knew how to keep him from falling into the bad ones over and over.
"You wanna go see what we can't get as far as food goes maybe?" He talks to the Raijuu on his shoulder as if it could speak back to him. The little mustelid does not make a sound or movement but that doesn't bother him. "Okay let's go do that. I'll probably feel better after eating something. Maybe you will too."
So he leaves the binder back where it had been before, making a mental note to move it tonight, as he heads out of the house he'd been staying in these days with Akari and Shisui and Shin. The two parents had graciously invited him to stay with them as they knew his partner, their son, would not be able to do a lot of serious activity for a while and it would benefit them more to have their parents AND Kouta around to help with anything they'd need during the downtime. With this in mind, Kouta and his constant musteline companion head towards the center of his favorite food district, his thoughts never leaving the feeling of missing his beloved partner, hoping that a late lunch would be a great distraction from the melancholy. When Shin was back home all would be well again. Until then, Kouta knew he had to keep himself busy and right now the best way to do that was with some good food. Maybe he'd invite Akari out with him tomorrow after he got out of work so she'd be able to have a break, too, from all she'd been doing.
Time Travelling Basically
Keiko Hyuga the daughter of Hyuga Neji The Hyuga Genius and Hyuga Tenten The Weapon's Mistress was fighting a group of rogue ninjas with her teammates Nara Shikadai the son of Nara Shikamaru and Nara Temari and Yamanaka Inoakari the daughter of Yamanaka Sai and Yamanaka Ino.
The rogue ninjas suddenly cast a jutsu on them.
"GET DOWN!" shouted Shikadai
Suddenly a bright light engulfs them
Keiko is the first who woke up and they were in a forest she observed she looks around and sees Shikadai and Inoakari there. She starts walking to them and taps their shoulders "Hey wake up guys!" Shikadai and Inoakari groans "Where are we?" asked Shikadai and Inoakari "I don't know but I think were in the outskirts of Konoha. It's just right there" Keiko points to the direction of Konoha
"Okay let's report to Hokage-sama that the rogue ninjas got away" said Shikadai "Let's go!" shouted Inoakari they went to the direction of Konoha.
When they saw the Konoha's gates Shikadai told them to stop "Hey why did we stop?" asked Keiko
"Look at the Hokage Monument" said Shikadai
Inoakari and Keiko looks at the Hokage Monument and gasped their are only 5 HOKAGE FACES "Why are there only 5 Hokage faces?" asked Inoakari "Dunno." said Shikadai in a bored tone "What do you mean you don't know!" Inoakari screamed Shikadai sighs "Troublesome." scratching his head
"I think we travelled back to the past because of the ninja who casted the jutsu." said Shikadai
"Really? Why don't we just talk to Lady Hokage and ask her if we can stay at the village until we find a way to go back to our time." Keiko said
"Yeah we should do that but we need to use a henge because we look like the copies of our parents." said Shikadai "Okay lets do the henge then go to the village" said Inoakari "Henge!" shouted the trio "Okay let's go!" they shouted
Izumo and Kotetsu was sleeping when the 3 ninjas saw them "Um excuse me but can we meet Lady Hokage?" asked Inoakari they woke up and just nodded dumbly "Okay thanks" the ninjas ran to the Hokage Tower "Oi Izumo what did we do we didn't see if they were enemy ninja or not." Kotetsu asked when he looked at Izumo he was asleep already he sweatdrops 'I'll just sleep too'
When the 3 ninjas knocked on the door they heard a shout "Come in!" they entered the room "What do you want?" asked Tsunade "Lady Hokage we need to ask you a favor but first can you remove your ANBU and put privacy seals?" asked Shikadai
Tsunade hesitantly tells the ANBU to leave the room the three ninjas drop their henge "Okay who are you and what do you want?" asked Tsunade "We are from the future and we plan to stay in the village for the meantime while we try to figure out how to go back in our time." said Keiko "Okay I believe you." she said nonchalantly
"Why do you believe us so easily?" asked Inoakari "Well there was this boy named Boruto he said he travelled back in time and he proved it by doing the Rasangen so I guess you're probably the friends of Boruto and you look like the exact copies of Shikamaru, Neji, and Ino."
"So where will we be staying in the village?" asked Shikadai "You will be staying in this apartment that I will give you and you will also be the observers in your parents' team so that the council won't be suspicious." she said "So what's your names?" she asked "My name is Nara Shikadai." "Hyuga Keiko." "Yamanaka Inoakari." they said
"So Shikadai, Keiko, and Inoakari you will change your names to Dai, Keiko, and Akari is that fine with you I just removed the Shika and Ino in your names so that they won't find out your parents" she said "You will be promoted to chunin here are the flak jackets if you want to wear them."
"You should also not use the jutsus from your clans like Byakugan, Kagemane no Jutsu and Shintenshin no Jutsu. Also Keiko there are also eye contacts to cover your eyes its a giveaway that your a Hyuga. Any questions?" she asked
"What do observers do?" asked Inoakari "Hmm observers basically go with the teams on missions and they observe well they also fight on missions of course." said Tsunade "What's our backstory?" asked Shikadai
"Your backstory will be that you guys just went back from a long-term mission and you just arrived few days ago so you just became observers. Okay is that all?" she asked "Yes Lady Hokage." the ninjas said "Here are the keys for your apartment and your hitai-ates." she said "Good luck ja ne!"
The ninjas took their clothes and left the Hokage tower then went to their apartment
Tsunade calls ANBU "ANBU call Team Gai and Team 10!" "Hai Hokage-sama!" the ANBU said and disappeared with a shunshin
Team Gai was currently training when an ANBU appeared and told them to go to the Hokage's office. The same thing happened to Team 10.
Team Gai and Team 10 knocked on the door "Come in!" they heard a shout courtesy of Tsunade they entered the room and asked "Do we have a mission Lady Hokage" asked Shikamaru in a bored tone
"No you will have observers in your teams." said Tsunade "What do you mean by observers Tsunade-sama?" asked Lee "You will have observers which means that they will observe you and go to missions with you." she said
"How YOUTHFUL!" said Lee crying Neji and Tenten sigh "So Team Gai will have 1 observer and Team 10 will have 2 observers." she said "Any questions?" she asked "No Lady Hokage!" they said "Okay dismissed." she said
They started walking away 'There is something suspicious about this' thought Neji as his team walked away with him
Meanwhile the trio are in the apartment Tsunade mentioned. It's a decent apartment there are 3 beds, a kitchen, a dining table, a sofa to sleep at and a bathroom
"What happens if they find out about Matatabi (Two Tails)" asked Keiko "My parents said that when they were teenagers they fought S-rank ninjas their organization is called Akatsuki who's goal is to capture jinchuriki."
"Let's just fight if they try to get you were capable enough anyway." said Shikadai "When do you think we will go to missions?" asked Inoakari "Dunno but I don't wanna go on one its troublesome." said Shikadai "Everything's troublesome for you." said Inoakari deadpanned
"I think this is when Uncle Naruto gets back from his training trip." said Keiko "Right something happened but kaa-san never mentioned it troublesome." Shikadai said "Man what do we do we need to find out a way to go back home." said Inoakari "I'm still working on the plan don't worry." said Shikadai "Okay I'm tired let's just sleep" said Keiko "Okay Good Night!" said Inoakari
Outside Konoha's Gates:
"Hey is that who I think it is?" asked Izumo
"uh-huh no doubt about it it's been about two and a half years."said Kotetsu
"Everyone Uzumaki Naruto has returned!"
you know who shouted at the top of a pole
Chapter 2:
"Guys wake up we need to go to the Hokage's office." said Inoakari "Okay I'm awake!" said Keiko "Where's the eye contacts?" asked Keiko "There." Inoakari points at the table "Okay thanks." Keiko puts the eye contacts on "Wake up Shikadai!" shouted Inoakari "Troublesome." he muttered "Okay guys remeber your names are Akari and Dai." said Keiko "Okay let's go!" said Inoakari
"Okay the observers will be here in a few minutes." In the Hokage's office are Team Gai - (Lee, Neji, Tenten) Team 10 - (Ino, Shikamaru, Choji)
The trio knock on the door "Come in!" shouted Tsunade "Why are we here Tsunade-sama?" asked the trio "Okay so these are the ninjas your going to be with you will go with them on missions and training." said Tsunade said "Whatever just get to know them or something now dismissed!" shouted Tsunade
Team Gai and Team 10 left with Keiko, Dai, and Akari
Team Gai Training Ground:
Once they arrived they started introducing themselves to each other "Hi I'm Tenten what's your name?" asked Tenten "Hi my name is Keiko." "I am The Beautiful Green Beast of Konoha Rock Lee." he said with the pang of his teeth "I could see that." said Keiko "Hyuga Neji." he said simply 'Somehow I feel like I have a connection with her but I haven't met her before' thought Neji
"So what do you guys usually do?" Keiko asked "Usually we train yeah... thats about it." said Tenten Neji approaches them "Tenten let's train now." said Neji "Hai hai Neji-sama" she said while mock bowing to Neji
Neji's eye twitched "Bye Keiko see ya later." said Tenten as she waved her hand to Keiko
"Yo Lee what're you doing?" she asked "I'm doing 1000 handstands around the village!" Lee shouted seriously "Hey can I join you?" Keiko asked "Sure!"
Few hours later...
"ARE YOU OKAY YOUTHFUL KEIKO?" asked Lee more like shouted but who cares
"Oi Lee what did you do to her?" asked Neji "Oooh she did 1000 handstands with me around the village isn't that YOUTHFUL." he said a bright smile on his face "Poor Keiko." Tenten said as she stares at Keiko on the ground "I'm fine." said Keiko while wincing "I think."
Tenten looks at the sky "It's getting dark let's go home now." said Tenten "Yeah let's go." said Neji as they split up Tenten and Lee going to their apartments while Neji goes to the Hyuga Compound
Team 10 Training Ground:
"Hey what's your names?" asked Inoakari "My name is Yamanaka Ino and the one that's sleeping is Nara Shikamaru." "My -munching- name is -munching- Akimichi Choji." he said while eating his BBQ chips "My name is In-Akari and this is Dai." Inoakari said then pointing to Shikadai
"So what do you guys do here usually?" asked Inoakari "Well today is our day off so we just hangout in our training spot." said Ino "I kinda feel sorry for your friend she ended up with Team Gai and they like train everyday." "She'll do fine she's used to it." said Inoakari "What do you mean?" "Um I mean uh Keiko used to train with training freaks so yeah shes um used to it." said Inoakari nervously
The next day they were training with their parents when an ANBU came an told them that the Hokage has summoned them. When they arrived Tsunade relayed the mission to them
"Okay so since everyone is here your mission will be to rescue the Kazekage this is a A-rank or S-rank mission so be careful." said Tsunade "You will be the reinforcements for Team 7. Okay any questions?" "No Tsunade-sama." the ninjas said "Okay you will follow the trail of Team 7 and follow Pakkun he knows the way." said Tsunade
In the trio's apartment:
"I didn't expect that to happen." said Inoakari "Yeah who would've thought that Uncle Gaara would get captured." said Keiko "Yeah we need to hurry were running out of time we need to bring him back." said Shikadai "Yeah!" shouted Inoakari
Konoha Gates:
"Yosh! Let's go my youtful students!" shouted Gai "We need to go north so that we wont encounter enemies." said Pakkun
@hana-akari liked for a starter~
“Listen, don’t let this go to your head or anything, I mean it, but given that some of us--- namely me--- are not exactly being trained in the ins and outs of insane chakra filled punching, it wouldn’t kill you to just reel in a little bit when we’re just doing some casual training. Some would consider that last punch friendly fire!”
Ino knew that she was probably setting herself up to get a smug earful from the Haruno--- or even worse--- find out that that was just Sakura’s regular level of brute strength, but she didn’t care. The Yamanaka was already in the depths of despair about something else so this training had just started to feel like her getting kicked when she was already down.
#{ Verse II Suddenly I See II Pre Shippuden }#i went for the time period in between naru and naru ship because it's just always fun to play ino when was much more dramatic#and life hadn't thrown so much grief her way just yet#hope that's okay!-
[Text:] I've been thinking about stupid Sasuke so much, my toys haven't been enough, ugh
[Text:] .......
[Text:] Wait this isn't Ino's number! You didn't read that!!!
[Text:] aaaaa just kill me now!!!
Send my character a dirty text. Whether by accident or intentional is your choice @hana-akari
Sasuke was definitely surprised by this. And also questioning how Sakura managed to mess up the numbers like that... although alphabetically, he supposed ‘Uchiha’ was fairly close to ‘Yamanaka’.
He was also a bit confused about why Sakura would be saying something like that to Ino to begin with. Did Ino do the same sort of thing? ...Or was Sakura hoping Ino would help, since her toys haven’t been enough?
Sasuke gave his head a shake, discarding that thought.
[Text:] I’m... trying to be flattered, but that’s still... kinda weird. Doing that sort of thing while thinking about a friend.
Yuru Camp△ 2 – 10 – Dispatches from the Geofront
The OP to Yuru Camp’s second season is a vast improvement over the first, but there was one thing that always bugged me: a Nissan MPV was featured instead of Toba-sensei’s adorable Suzuki Hustler. Turns out the car in the OP is Toba-sensei’s sister’s van, a first-gen Nissan Lafesta.
With that mystery solved, there’s immediately a new one when Toba-sensei picks up Nadeshiko in the morning: What’s with the bags under her eyes? This is solved before the OP: she was simply too excited for their trip and couldn’t sleep a wink. So she sleeps in the van. The Whole. Damn. Time.
Rin, who set off hours earlier, is already checking out Cape Ose, Izu’s “geospots”, unique geological features along the way, visits to all of which she and the others hope to collect like Pokémon. She encounters some very hungry fish, a giant shrimp, and a thrillingly windy mountain road.
The van gang catches a glimpse of the fist-like mountain Jouyama, then stops at an ice cream spot—an established Outclub tradition—to sample Izu’s local specialty: raw wasabi ice cream. Then take a ride on the Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge.
Rin’s wanderings take her to the Ryugukutsu Cave, which has a skylight due to erosion and for me called to mind the Hidden Beach in western Mexico. From there, she arrives in Shimoda, rests her road-weary dogs in a hot spring foot bath, and admires the torii by the water.
The van gang is delayed by choking traffic caused by the cherry blossom festival in Kawazu, home of some of the earliest-blooming sakura. Aoi’s sister Akari gets out to use the restroom but comes back with local treats. Eventually they meet up with Rin in a Shimoda parking lot, and a panicked Nadeshiko asks her where they are and what day it is, having been throughly messed with by Aoi and Akari, the “Lying Sisters.”
After a lunch of fried alfonsino burgers with Camembert cheese and sweet-and-spicy sauce (goddamn that sounds good), the van gang and Rin form a two-vehicle convoy to the grocery store where Nadeshiko stocks up on more alfonsino for the first night’s dinner.
It is here where we learn that Chiaki, Ena, and Rin are responsible for dinner on the second night. Not to be upstaged by Nadeshiko, Chiaki had convened with the other two back at school before the trip Gendo Ikari-style to organize Operation Shrimp.
The gist is, they’ll make Toba-sensei give up drinking and use her booze money to buy some of the spiny lobster Shimoda is known for. Ena dispenses with the subterfuge and simply requests Toba-sensei buy some spiny lobsters, and she does.
The convoy continues on to Cape Tsumeki, where Toba-sensei learns that despite the city saying they could camp along the coast in the winter, the landowner no longer allows it as of a few years ago. It’s a setback, but it doesn’t stop the gang from visiting a lighthouse and checking out the rad columnar jointing at Tawaraiso Beach.
Ena, proving to be the X-factor of the group, suggests they contact the Iidas, who saved them at Lake Yamanaka. Sure enough, they know someone who owns a campground and has arranged a place for them. It’s a 43km detour that throws some of the later parts of their itinerary out of whack, but Rin puts them back in whack with her Mad Map Skillz.
Their updated route sends them to explore the next geospot, Hosono Plateau, before continuing to the campground in Nishiizu. There’s a mini mountain peak to climb, and Akari challenges Nadeshiko to a race in which Chiaki unwisely decides to participate. Despite having built up strength in her legs from her liquor store job, Rin, Ena, and Aoi find her planking on the steps nowhere near the top.
This episode feels worlds away from where the previous one ended, with Rin and her grandfather on a magical early morning ride. But there’s a different kind of magic at work here, one of overflowing excitement and anticipation as we dart breathlessly from spot to spot with the seven travelers, who divide mingle in fascinating new ways. As always, the journey to the campsite, with all its sights, sounds, smells, and tastes, proves just as meaningful as the destination.
in which a certain type of grief is shared between Akari and her daughter-in-law. SaiIno feat. a smidge of Obikari
content warning for miscarriage, with descriptions of a forced miscarriage
i’m sorry
-----
"Out of my way," Akari's tone offers no room for argument, darting past a wide-eyed doctor without even giving them a second glance. She walks the halls of the hospital swiftly, a storm made flesh as her heart thunders even as it breaks.
A medic nin watches with mouth dropped open as Akari passes her desk, seeming to think otherwise of trying to stop her. It helps that her well-over-six-foot husband shadows her heels, daring anyone to argue or attempt to slow her as his expression turns thunderous. He follows wordlessly as Akari glances at room numbers, muttering beneath her breath before finding the correct room. Obito pauses at the door, turning to his wife and reaching out to curve a hand over her cheek. A grounding touch, one that makes Akari swallow down her sorrow. Memories unbidden rush to the forefront of her mind, and she shoves them away with a shake of her head. Turning to press a kiss to Obito's palm, she looks up to catch his eye as she steels herself. She needs to be the strong one, needs to be the pillar of support and gentle-handed encouragement. Obito watches her with something heavy and melancholy in his dark eyes, offering her a wordless nod before dropping his hand and reaching to open the door for her. She takes a deep, steadying breath, and turns on her heel.
Akari steps inside as she knocks, closing the door firmly behind her. The sight that greets her is familiar, and tugs steadily at her heart. Ino sits perched atop a bed, hands held limply in her lap, shoulders hunched forward as though bearing an impossible weight. Her face is turned towards the window, hiding her expression beneath heavy blonde hair as an aura of grief permeates the room. Sai in the chair beside her, elbows on his knees and face cradled in his palms. Neither of them look to Akari, neither of them speak.
She remembers, she remembers -
-----
Akari had been alone when it happened, panic rushing through her veins as tears spilled down her face. She hadn't known what she wanted to do, and with all else in her life the decision was left to someone else.
She was only nineteen. She was alone and in mourning and her life had never been hers alone; had always been dictated by and belonged to others. She hadn't known what to do - had no instruction or guide. Shisui had been dead a month when she'd thrown up her breakfast the third day in a row, fingers knotted in her hair and biting down on a scream.
He'd left her a final gift of remembrance, weighing her down far more than any memory or the blade he once wielded, now strapped to her back. If she closed her eyes and focused, palm pressed tight to her softly curved belly, she thought she may have been able to feel the smallest wisp of foreign chakra, seeking her out.
A tangible piece of Shisui, connecting them together physically. A child, their child - Akari had been so very, very afraid, and yet the smallest wisp of excitement had bloomed beneath her breast.
But her life was not hers alone, nor would it ever be. The instinct to protect had come over her, knowing that she had to keep it secret, that no one could know. She would be useless while pregnant, would have her heart further burned away until she was nothing more than a husk, a tool for to be used. The child would be taken from her, she was certain of it. Used against her as yet another way of control, of burning away every puzzle piece of identity she'd scraped together. She wouldn't let them pluck the babe from her arms, wouldn't let them steal away Shisui's child, she wouldn't.
It was worse. It was far, far worse.
Akari had always been slight. Her slim and lithe body worked to her advantage, the swell of her growing child not making its appearance until she was nearly halfway through pregnancy. She had been careful -so, so careful- to keep herself quiet and still, keep attention off of her. Act as though nothing were amiss; taking the same amount of missions, swallowing down all manner of vitamin and supplement that she would find in far-flung villages so her purchases couldn't be tracked back to her. She still worked with ANBU, and walked in the other direction if faced with a medic nin.
And yet it still hadn't mattered.
The decision was not hers to make, never once. Instead it was Danzō's, who commanded her forward one day near the halfway mark of her pregnancy. Surrounded by silent and still members of the Foundation, she swallowed down her fear and took a combat stance at his instruction.
It's a power play, one they're all intimately familiar with. Danzō steps forward slowly, and Akari bows low at the waist on instinct alone. Her hands twitch to cover her stomach, to fade into the shadows and hide, but she knows that when he calls she will always answer.
It is a farce more than a spar. A formality. There is steel behind Danzō's single eye, watching her shrewdly in a way that makes her pulse jump and palms sweat. She barely has time to reach for her tantō before the elder is on her, hand shooting out to yank her forward by the hair and bringing his knee sharply up. He holds her gaze as her eyes widen behind her mask, a low noise of panic escaping her throat. And then Danzō smiles, a slowly unfurling smirk that is nothing short of a challenge. And she understands suddenly, with a sense of foreboding thrumming through her veins and a cold weight in her chest - he knows. Has known the entire time. Maybe longer than she had. The cruelty etched in his expression and the way he aims solely for her abdomen is a provocation; he dares her to say something, to pull back and run away and panic.
But she is nothing if not obedient.
Danzō's knee connects sharply with her stomach, hard enough that nausea rolls through her and she gags on her next breath. His hand leaves her hair and she drops to her knees, palms pressed to her curved belly as she chokes and splutters and struggles to catch her breath. She doesn't even notice the cane careening sharply to her face until her mask is already shattering, pain exploding on her cheek as she lets slip a low groan. Her body jerks to the side and she is unconscious before she hits the floor.
-----
When she wakes, it is to the smell of antiseptic and a flat belly. Her hands tightening into fists that tremble with the force of her despair, and she bites back every scream, every tear. She sits up and stands from the bed, dons the freshly-painted mask that sits on the bedside table waiting for her, and strives never to think on this loss again.
Her life had never been hers. That life never would have been, either. It was a kindness, really. She is a weapon, and weapons do not weep.
-----
Akari does not hesitate as she crosses the room in a blink, hands already raised to bring Ino into the circle of her arms. The blonde flinches away, as Akari expected she would; there is a sense of guilt and shame that comes with being the bearer of such a loss that she knows only too well. The feeling of blame, of blood on your hands. What good am I, what worth is there to be found, when my own selfishness and irresponsibility took a life before it could begin?
She wants to tell Ino that she understands all of this. Aches to ease her burden, to give her whispered words of encouragement. But she knows that Ino will only see it as empty platitude, that there is nothing and no one that can ease the stain on her heart. It will take time, yet Akari is patient. Sai is patient. And it is only with others, only with sharing the burden of grief is the weight lessened.
"It isn't your fault," is all Akari whispers, because that is what she would have wanted to hear, those long years ago. She grasps Ino by the shoulders even as the blonde leans away, teeth bared and hackles raised, hands lifting to push Akari away. But her expression wavers, pale eyes boring into hers as Akari holds her steady, as she always will. With a gentle hand Akari brushes the hair from Ino's face, cradling her cheek and leaning down to press their foreheads together.
"It isn't your fault," she says again, voice gentle but steady.
Akari feels a hand smooth across her back, glances to the side to see Sai, face grim and eyes bright from unshed tears. He presses a hand to his wife and his mother, completing their circle as wordless grief and support passes between them. His touch is enough to have Ino trembling, a sob at last slipping past her lips as her shoulders hunch forward, relaxing into Akari’s touch and reaching with a shaking hand to grab for Sai's jacket.
Akari had done this before. She will do it again. The sorrow and the loss and the guilt will be shouldered and carried and eventually, over time, will be let go. Akari tangles her fingers in Ino's hair, pressing her closer. Sai leans forward, all their breaths mingling as the room goes quiet save for the low sounds of agony, heads pressed together. Akari turns her head to drop a lingering kiss to Sai's cheek with eyes shut tight, and whispers that she is here. They are not alone, nor will they ever be.
------------------------------------------------------- 個人映像のアンデパンダン
個人によって創られた映像作品はストーリーが無いものもあり、一見すると内容が難解と思われがちですが、その可能性は無限であり、次々と新たなイメージが産み出されています。しかし残念ながら、そのジャンルを越えたバリエーションに触れる機会は、多いとは言えません。私たちは、確実に増殖する個人映像作品を上映し記録することで、個人映画公開の機会をさらに増やしていきたいと考えています。 VIDEO PARTYは京都を中心に、所属、立場、ジャンルを越えた、ドラマ、アニメーション、実験映像からドキュメンタリーまで内容も様々な、個人で作られた映像を発表する場として企画され、2013年より公募作品の上映活動をしています。
また、2014年より海外映像祭や教育機関、上映団体等と連携し作品の交換上映も進めています。2016年は台湾、韓国、マカオ、中国、札幌での上映をし、VIDEO PARTYの参加作品を各地で紹介しています。 個人の眼差しによって紡がれる映像の行く末と更なる可能性を探る〈場〉へのご参加をお待ちしております。 2019年は7月27日(土)〜28日(日)8月3日(土)〜4日(日)の4日間、京都のLumen galleryにて開催します。
Announcement for VIDEO PARTY in KYOTO 2019 There are many video works created by various independent artists these days, many of which seem to have no storylines and contents hard to comprehend. But the potential of this media is limitless and there are many fresh imageries being created continuously. Unfortunately, we do not have enough occasions in which we can come in contact with borderless variations of the genre. It is for this reason we assemble this VIDEO PARTY, where we can screen and make records of these ever-growing works of independent artists, as well as to simply increase the opportunity for Indies video works to be seen. Based in Kyoto, the VIDEO PARTY has been organized for independent artists to exhibit their works, regardless of their nationality, affiliation, standpoint and genre - ranging from drama, animation, experimental and documentary - and has been screening publicly offered works, since 2013. For this year, the PARTY will be held in July (provisional), at the “Lumen Gallery”, a video-specialized gallery established in Kyoto. We have also started the work exchange program since 2014, in cooperation with several overseas film festivals, educational establishments and Indies film screening organizations. In 2016, we had successful screenings in Taiwan, South Korea and Macau and China, to introduce participating works of the VIDEO PARTY. We plan to expand the interaction and create more opportunities to screen in more locations this year. We anticipate your joining to this opportunity of witnessing the future and exploring the potentials of video works, woven by various independent artists. Hence, we would like to invite everybody to subscribe your works. This year's event will be held at Lumen gallery in Kyoto on July 27 (Sat)-28 (Sun) and August 3 (Sat)-4 (Sun) for 4days.
