Been heavily into Arknights lately, and esp deep in Sui beast lore and the 12 dragon siblings relationship.

Ling, Dusk and Nian, even the second brother ALL seem to respect Chongyue, and I'm just. Just how great of a guy you must be to get all your siblings to respect you like this? And Ling and 2nd brother especially look rather protective of him. Also, while the 2nd brother described Ling Nian and Dusk rather unflatteringly, he seems rather begrudgingly affectionate when talking about Chongyue.

in theory, from a character design standpoint, if chongyue was a woman she'd have a two pieces outfit, instead of a long structured coat, to show a less imposing and squared silhouette. in practice, if i were to design an AK character, i'd just cater to the lesbians

I dont usually read modern AU fics or at least with modern Au elements. But recently been opening up more to it. Mostly cause I just really like ancient god dragon man. Its happened to me 3 times at this point, its a pattern (Chongyue from AK, Zhongli, Dan Heng).

I could go into the details of that interest, maybe its just liking older powerful gods with very human hearts. *Shrug*

But the idea of Zhongli practically isekai'ing to a world where most of the people he knew were dead and people he knew long after those before people were dead with bonus cultivation? Ye, I read MDZS, im here for it.

I'm sorta back reading the ask's atm, kinda don't wanna re-ask something already been asked. Like, I'm sure someone asked about 'What if Chen Zhongli did go to Tevyat, and Zhongli's body didn't explode' idk like maybe neither body fully died, they just got really close. Or if 'What if Chen Zhongli didn't die and Zhongli still got transported over?' whether in his body and somehow neither dying, hanging about as a spirit like some MDZS GhostWuxian fics, or giant dragon falling from the sky.

i'm afraid answering anything related to what is currently going on with chen zhongli would only be a spoiler, so i can only really go for the hypotheticals here in the scenario where zhongli didn't like- fully die i guess, and chen zhongli still spawned at the bottom of the ocean, assuming we want to twist the narrative enough for him to survive (valid, since it's the entire point of this idea hahah), then i think it would be really funny if czl like- has a very abrupt isekai experience. like there's no slowly waking up or anything. my guy falls into the river, closes his eyes bc of the water, and when he opens them he's at the bottom of the fucking sea and there's a giant fuckoff dragon (the abyssal one) just flailing and dying and whatever. he panics and starts swimming away and i guess we give him mary sue powers for a second and make it so that the abyss dragon dying causes the currents to launch him back to shore. that would be so hilarious ngl i don't know how the body situation would work in that scenario tho. if we want to keep him human then i guess we could say that since zl was dying, czl's very much human soul sort of swapping in at the last second caused a portion of the energy released to mold into zl's human vessel for czl's soul to inhabit but an even funnier idea is that he spawned into the dragon, and he doesn't know how to control it, and now we just have czl trapped in the exuvia for the foreseeable future

in the czl didn't die but zl still got dragged into this world- that's a good question. assuming this means he got dragged into czl's body, he would've sort of shoved czl's soul out of the body and left it like a wandering spirit, like you said. of course then the question becomes where tf did he go then hahah if not dragged into czl's body then zl would've probably spawned somewhere either in tianqiu valley or where guyun stone forest would've been if it existed in this world, as a spirit. and then he sort of... would've walked around and explored. i guess if he ends up finding czl then we could have a sort of, uh- dragon familiar situation going on if czl doesn't die. that would be intersting

anyway i love spinning the thread of this au hahah but i feel obligated to remind everyone that in the canon of the fic zl just does not know anything of what happened to czl beyond the fact that this (hopefully) isn't a bodyswap scenario
