Wednesday was covered in blood and mud, Évangéline had found herself in a similar situation. Her fall had been broken by a stray shard of metal, from the sword. The wound was on her waist, every time she moved the pain increased.
She could only focus of the blood on her hands. How bad was the wound? The cock of a gun brought her out of a trance. "You brought a gun to a sword fight." It was Thornhill. "It's probably the first smart decision you've made today."
"I might not get to kill all the outcasts," Thornhill staggered closer to Wednesday. "but at least I'll get to kill you, Wednesday." Évangéline was too far away to see why her previous teacher had stopped. That was until there was a buzzing sound. Getting louder, and louder. The amount of bees increased, all swarming Thornhill.
She began shooting and covering her head, not knowing what to do. "Yeah, that's what you get for messing with Nevermore." It was Wednesdays friend, Eugene. "Hummers stick together, right?"
The bees were imbedding themselves into the woman on the floor. Then, Wednesday ended it all.
All Nevermore pupils and teachers were outside the gates, all wanting the truth for what was happening. Then, Yoko noticed someone walking. It was a small blonde girl, shivering covering in mud and blood.
"Enid?" The soft voice of Ajax worried, seeing she was only in a coat. Leading her through the heels of students, she couldn't see two people. "Where's Wednesday? Where's Évangéline?" Everyone just looked at each other, not knowing what happened with the two girls.
Her worrying was cut short as she saw four people walking towards the gates, although one was slightly limping. They had all ran up to the four, seeing it was Wednesday, Évangéline, Eugene and Bianca. The two girls overwhelmed in emotions were shortly pushed into a hug with an equally emotional Enid.
It was cut slightly short, as Wednesday had leaned backwards, but shortly gave in as she saw Enid's face. Slowly, Évangéline made her way out of the hug, leaving Enid to have the hug she had wanted for months.
Tears were in her eyes, blood had made its way onto her face from her hands and small cuts and mud caked the majority of her skin. Looking at the group of people she was well associated with, she saw Xavier. The boy had staggered towards the girl, not knowing what to do, not knowing how she felt.
She cut his worries short by grasping his face and gave him what they both had yearned for. A kiss. It was finally happening, something that had became so unimaginable by the two. Not thinking they would ever see each other again.
Leaning her face into Xavier's shoulder, he noticed the metal sticking out of the side of her back. "Angel," he whispered, almost like she was about to break into pieces.
"I know," she sighed, holding on tighter.
Students were sent home early for the rest of the semester. After everything from the past night and earlier months, the remaining teachers decided to let the kids have a break. Évangéline had gotten her wound fixed, with it needing a few stitches, and was currently packing her room.
The trio had gone to their deceased principals office, paying their respects. "I hate to admit, but I am gonna miss Principal Weems." The pink one spoke first.
"She could be a real pain." The black one complained. "But she was tough. For that, I have immense respect."
"And she died for the one thing she truly loved, this school." The brown one finished.
"She was one of us." All three girls left.
"Now that classes are cancelled for the rest of the semester, you two have to come visit me in San Francisco." Enid demanded to her two friends. "I can pretty much guarantee fog and drizzle every day for you, Wednesday. And Evan, I'll be there for you to complain to."
"Sounds tempting." Wednesday agreed.
"Only if you two come to France, we can go to all the cute little cafés." Évangéline smiled, seeing the look from her friend, "Don't worry, Nes, there's dark things in Paris. Oh! Like the bell towers of Notre Dame." This brought a composed smile on Wednesdays face, the nickname was back.
"Bianca." Wednesday stopped the girl who helped a lot yesterday, "I owe you a thank you."
"We're getting that fencing title next year. So don't let killing one supernatural pilgrim get to your head." Bianca joked, leaving with a smile towards Évangéline.
"Oh, and Nes." Évangéline turned, only to be met with no Wednesday. Not even Enid. "What the hell," she whispered.
"You look a little lost." A taunting voice came from over head. Already knowing who it was, she held a smile.
"Don't you have anything better to do than watch girls?" Évangéline joked, making her way up the small starecase.
"Only the pretty ones." He lowered his voice, only wanting Évangéline to listen.
"Who are these pretty girls you've been looking at, then?" She wrapped arms around Xavier's neck, holding him close and it felt natural.
"I don't know if you know her." Repeating her actions, but on her waist, being cautious of the stitching. "She has brown hair, with little pink streaks. The most enchanting eyes I've ever seen. She's incredibly brave and even after falling out with someone, she still helped her."
This caused an uncontrollable smile to appear of Évangéline's face, "Stop it," she spoke into his shoulder, hiding her smile. It was a nice silence for a few seconds. No worries clouded their minds, they felt content in the moment and didn't care if their fellow students were watching.
"How are your stitches?" He stroked just above the fresh wound, showing his affection.
"Could be better. How are you feeling about being a free man?" She brought her head up.
"All charges dismissed." He smiled, replicating what Évangéline was doing. "I'm sorry to cut this short, but I need to find Wednesday and thank her for the arrow and to apologise for things I said." At the sound of an arrow, she gave a confused face, "I'll explain later. Have a good break, I'll see you around?" He gave a hopeful glance.
"Of course." She waved him off. "Have a good break."
After saying goodbye to her friends she met up with her father, belongings already in the car. "You ready to go, Evie?" He asked, but before she could answer, her phone went off. Looking at the message, it was pictures of her and Xavier and her and Wednesday.
She looked up, hiding the scared look, "Yeah, I'm ready."

I loved this Fanart of the beautiful ship of the Wednesday Addams series of the ship of Enijax of the characters of Enid Sinclair and Ajax Petropolus together especially because it is obviously based on the scene where Ajax protects Enid after the disaster of the dance and they give each other their first kiss and start dating together
Tumblr media
By the way, this beautiful Fanart of Enid and Ajax is not mine and the credits are not for me but unfortunately I can only put the Pinterest link because apparently on Instagram they deleted it

Everyone was waiting for Wednesdays signal, their signal to come out and confront Tyler. Everyone except Évangéline.
Previous night
"Évangéline!" It had been the most emotion Évangéline had seen come out of Wednesday.
"Wednesday, I'm really not in the mood." Évangéline attempted to walk away, not in the mood for anything. It all happened so fast with Xavier. He was innocent, how could Wednesday not see that?
"Évangéline, I know you're mad-"
"Mad? I'm more than mad! I've said this so many times Wednesday, you need to get out of your fantasy world before you hurt someone. Well guess what, you have hurt someone! Xavier is in a cell, because of you. Enid may have forgiven you, but that doesn't mean that you haven't frightened her enough. And I've been hurt because of you." Évangéline's eyes were beginning to water. "I genuinely thought we could've been friends."
"I kissed Tyler!" Wednesday said the first thing that came to mind to stop the taller girl to leave, immediately regretting her choice of words.
"Wednesday! I dont care! Why on Earth would I care that you kissed Tyler, especially when the only boy I have ever liked is most likely going to rot away in a jail cell. We aren't friends."
And with that Évangéline walked away, leaving a stunned Wednesday rethinking everything since she arrived at Nevermore.
Évangéline had meant everything she said the previous night, and only regretted it a small bit. What if Wednesday never saw them as friends so when she was yelling about not wanting to be friends-
She shouldn't be thinking like that. That Sunday went by fast. Nothing to do, and everyone seemed to be busy; especially at night.
Over the following days, Wednesday had been expelled. There was no counting on Wednesday to right the wrongs she made; she had made multiple mistakes and left them for someone else to clean up.
Wednesday had officially left and on that night, Évangéline had gotten a knock at the door. She knew it wouldn't be Yoko, as she was doing late night studying. Opening I'm the door she had seen someone or something she wasn't expecting.
"Thing?" Was all she could get out before Thing was ushering her to Enid's room.
Opening the door, she saw Enid on the phone to the bee boy, Eugene she thinks his name is, and Ajax on her bed.
"Evan?" Ajax asked, confused that Thing had brought her here.
"Jax?" Évangéline asked, also confused, seeing as he was on Enid's bed. Ignoring everything weird about the situation, Thing jumped onto Enid's bed signing too quick to decipher.
"Slow down." Enid tried to calm the hand, crouching in front of it. Thing complied and signed that Weems was dead.
"Enid, what the hell is going on." Not getting anything Ajax looked in between the two girls, wanting to be involved.
"What about Wednesday?" Évangéline joined in, also crouching down to Things level.
"Tyler and Thornhill took her?" Enid looked towards Évangéline. "Where?" Thing signed again, scaring the two girls.
"Crackstone crypt?" They both asked. Thing then signed something, something to do with nightshades.
"Who are the nightshades?" Enid asked both Thing and Évangéline. Earning a shrug then a point to the other member of the group.
Seeing that Ajax had been found out, he let out a sigh. "I'll explain in the way."
The group of four had made there way to a place Évangéline had been before. "I've been here before." She spoke to Ajax.
"Wait what?" Yet again, confused as it was a secret society.
"Long story, kinda."
"I can't believe you're in a secret so and you didn't tell me." Noticing Enid's distress, she stepped out of the conversation.
There were sets of footsteps, probably the other nightshades. "So, what's the deal with Thornhill being a psycho?" Bianca stood in the middle of her other siren friends.
"She murdered Weems and then took Wednesday to Crackstones crypt." Ajax explained, finally getting something that had happened.
"We have to get everyone in the school to safety before it's too late." Whilst Enid was explaining, Évangéline showed the drawing of Wednesday and Crackstone.
"So do we pull the fire alarms?" Kent asked.
"We don't want to cause a panic and alert Tyler or Thornhill." Divina explained. "So how do we get everyone out?"
"Well use our siren song to convince them." Bianca turned to her fellow sirens, ripping off their necklaces.
"Thing and I will look for Wednesday." Enid suggested.
"I'll go with you." Évangéline offered.
"Evan, you need to help everyone else into getting out of school."
Évangéline had music blasting her headphones, blocking out the siren song and helping people out of the castle. Everything had been going to plan, inside Nevermore. That was until Crackstone and Thornhill burst through the door.
This caused the students to scream out of terror, running away fast. Évangéline was with Bianca and Ajax on the walkway over looking the courtyard.
"I will expunge you abominations from this Earth!" Crackstones voice echoed, causing shivers to go down Évangéline's back.
He slammed down his staff, causing sparks to emit for the base and striking fire through the courtyard. "Get down!" Évangéline pulled Bianca down with her, seeing as she had a slow reaction. The trio just barely missing the fire.
Évangéline had a bad feeling. Something she was getting quite often. Running back to the courtyard, she met up with Bianca. Only nodding to each other, they continued their journey.
They arrived at the courtyard, seeing Wednesday struggling underneath the power Crackstone held. Both of the girls had the same idea, take the attention away from Wednesday.
Picking up the larger shards of a shattered sword, both girls wrenched it into the back of the living corpse. His scream deflected off of the walls of the courtyard, as the sword created embers in the man's chest.
Retreating the weapons, Crackstone turned his attention into the opposers, hitting both of them back, and far. Noticing that Bianca had more of a harsh push, she tensed her powers making her have a softer landing.
This bought Wednesday enough time. Herself stabbing into the chest of Crackstone. Pushing deeper and deeper. Wrenching the blade, not carrying about the cuts it caused to herself.
The dead man was slowly turning into ash, drifting away mixing with the wind. His body exploded, burning out any of the present fire. He had only left his ring.
Wednesday had won.

Anyway here’s a link to the ones I’ve found that have posted my work (and that of countless others) without permission. I’ve commented on all the ones stolen from me, but there’s loads.
I found like 5 of my fics posted on wattpad without my permission.
It’s a 66 chapter collection of one shots translated into Portuguese.
I didn’t give my permission for my work to be posted, and I’m sure many of the other writers did not either.
Don’t do this.

It was the mayors funeral. Everyone was staying silent, holding their black umbrellas, paying their respects to the man that had helped so much, in not only the town Jericho but also Nevermore. The rain pattered down, causing echos of sound throughout the funeral.
The beautiful flowers, given from the local florists, were in top of the casket. The mayors wife and her son, Lucas, were front row. His wife had been holding a white lily, symbolising the mayor moving on to his next place.
Évangéline had been to one funeral; the one of her mother. The woman had been suffering with cancer, for over ten years. They had found out when Évangéline was nine. She had been changed; her father only thought it was a good idea, that a few years later, she had attended Nevermore.
CLICK! CLICK!
The sound of someone clicking echoed through the hallway of Nevermore. It was a cold evening, Évangéline was only wearing a shirt skirt with a small blue top. Following the noise, she was only met with a blank hallway, the one containing the statue of Allen Poe. Something about it made her think clicking was the answer.
CLICK! CLICK!
Her theory had worked, not in a way she anticipated. The wings of the eagle inched it's way down, causing the whole statue to retreat. There was now a staircase, leading to what seemed like a library.
Descending down the staircase, she could hear someone's conversation. "If I am the monster," it sounded like Xavier, "then why haven't I killed you. Or better yet, Évangéline." Who was the you?
"Because for some reason I can't fathom or indulge, you seem to like Évangéline. And killing me would arise suspicion from Évangéline, drifting her away from you." Wednesday. Xavier was talking to Wednesday.
"Évangéline deserves better than you." Xavier finished. It sounded like he was making his way back up the stairs.
Making her escape, she could only think two things.
Why is there a creepy basement in the school?
And
Why was Wednesday so focused on blaming Xavier?
Enid was planning on moving into Évangéline and Yoko's dorm, for the rest of the school year. Évangéline couldn't blame her; if anything, Wednesday had been so focused on herself to even realise. It wouldn't surprise her if Wednesday didn't care when Miss Thornhill asked her about the situation.
The next few weeks had been slow. There were no attacks and seemingly no worries. The only mishap is that Wednesday still had her head in the clouds, still thinking that driving away anyone would help her. Évangéline had also been spending time with Marshall. She believed Marshall had changed, and had a new crush.
"Oh, come on! You have to tell me." Évangéline begged at her seat in the greenhouse.
"I don't have to say anything." Marshall motioned a zipping movement towards his mouth. He then pushed a hand towards her face, pushing her away.
"Hey! Come on, I did my makeup today!" Évangéline swatted his hands away from her.
"Yeah, for someone who isn't even here. Do you know where he is, not seen him all day?" Marshall had been informed about her undying emotions towards Xavier, and him meaning Xavier.
"No, but we did plan to hang out later." She looked away, almost bashful, muttering the last part under her breath.
"So you with hold information like that, whilst I don't get to." Marshall was open mouthed at his new friend.
"So you've planned to hang out together?" Évangéline flicked her gaze toward the vampire, having a little smirk.
Marshall couldn't fathom a response and just rolled his eyes, focusing on the work in front of the class; Évangéline snickering to herself, then continuing the work.
The school day went fast, but slow. Lessons she had friends in went fast, all the others went slow. Night was approaching, Xavier had planned to meet Évangéline at the exit of the castle.
When they met up, it wasn't awkward, opposing what the two thought. Conversation seemed to flow with the two, nothing was said about their previous encounter; even though she so desperately wanted to.
Walking into the shed, it had been colder than expected. All Évangéline had was a small zip up. Yet the shivering didn't go unnoticed from Xavier.
"Are you cold?" He questioned, already knowing the answer.
"I'll be alright, just need my body to adjust, you know?" Évangéline shrugged, teeth still chattering.
Not giving in, Xavier shrugged off his coat and draped it over the smaller girls shoulders. Then all went still, there's was nothing needed to say. Not just the coat, but the arms draped around her shoulders, keeping her warm. The fuzzy smile. Butterflies!
It felt as if they were inching together. The hands on Xavier's bent elbows securing him in reality; the dreamy look on Xavier's face, making it all seem like a dream.
The slamming of a door disrupted them, causing them to pull apart; both missing the content feeling. Seeing who it was made the intimate two scoff.
"You know what?" Xavier began, as Wednesday was pushing her luck. "You need to stay out of my space."
"You need to take your own advice." Wednesday was holding a dagger of sorts. Walking towards a wooden barrel, she stabbed it into the dark oak. "You left that in my room." Wednesday stood up, still looking intimidating even with the lack of height. "Actually, you left it in Thing."
This caused Évangéline to look between the quarrelling two. "Wednesday-" she tried to reason, shortly being interrupted.
"How long have you been seeing Kinbott?" Wednesday continued, not giving Évangéline any time of day.
"Have you..." Xavier stuttered, then chuckeling. "What am I saying? Of course you have. You've been spying on me, right?" He snatched the dagger. "Cause I'm the villain in your fantasy." He didn't take his eyes off of the dagger, looking at the patterned handle. "My father thinks that my mental health is a PR problem that he needs to manage." Raising his eyes to Wednesday, never looking at Évangéline. "He wanted to keep troubled son out of the tabloids." Raising his arms to his sides, "I wasn't in your room. Believe me or don't believe me, I don't care."
Wednesday walked through Xavier and Évangéline. "Your painting's been improving." Wednesday gave a backhanded compliment, "I enjoy this one in particular." Pulling a sheet off of a canvas, it showed Kinbott with scratches across her face; much like the ones Évangéline had on her shoulder. "Feels like you really lived it." Wednesday continued, Évangéline was at a list for words. On one hand Wednesday had gone too far into her investigation, on the other; the amount of drawings lining up to the attacks were weird.
"What do you want?" Xavier was defeated, there was no way of getting Wednesday off his case.
"I'm the one asking the questions." The black haired investigator made her way to the desk. "What is Rowan's inhaler doing in your shed?" She asked, picking it up. "Or Eugene's glasses?" She held up a pair of broken, bloodied glasses.
"Whoa." Xavier tried to intervene, seeing as he didn't put them there.
"Or these stalker images you took of me?" What?
"No. I-" Xavier was a stuttering mess, a mess of confusion.
"Don't forget your latest addition." Emptying a jar of crayons, she plucked out a necklace. Kinbott's necklace.
"Somebody planted that stuff." Before Évangéline could say anything, a police officer came in.
"Drop the knife." Xavier was still holding the dagger, and the police saw his advances towards Wednesday.
"Xavier?" Was all Évangéline could whisper. She just wanted to go home and pretend like it was all a dream.
Yet that wasn't true. This was the cold harsh reality. Xavier was being locked up.
"You! You framed me! I'm being set up!"
All Évangéline could do was look at Wednesday. "Get out if your stupid fantasy land! Don't you see how messed up this is?"

Over the next few days not much happened. The only key part is that the mayor had been killed. It had been someone in a blue cadillac, a hit and run. This has pushed the police even more than before, facing public outcry by the residents of Jericho.
Évangéline had been in Enid and Wednesday's room, already being apart of the latters plans.
"I've been thinking about my less-than-enthusiastic response to your surprise soirée." Wednesday spoke, opposite Enid and Évangéline, still having a less-than-enthusiastic response. "And I must admit, I regret not showing my gratitude towards you more appropriately."
This perked Enid up from her position on the bed. "You really mean it?" Enid asked, swaying her shoulders.
"Take the win, Enid." Évangéline rested a hand on Enid. Making sure Enid's attention was else where, Évangéline gave Wednesday a nod.
"If only there were a way for us to get off campus and have a little birthday redo." Wednesday took the hint. "Just me, you and Évangéline. Too bad the school is on lockdown."
Évangéline walked towards the window, Wednesday and Enid following in tow. "Would you look at that full moon..."
This had given Enid an idea. "Oh, how about I say I'm about to wolf out and get a pass to the lupin cages? And say you two volunteered to lock me in."
"My deviousness has finally rubbed off on you." Enid chuckled at Wednesday's words. "Thing? You know what to do right?" Thing did a thumbs up, pausing hud rubix cube.
The girls began to leave, but Enid had an idea. "Oh, we should wear our snoods!"
"Don't worry Evan, I have a purple one I was going to give you."
"Oh, I believe I left mine at fencing." Wednesday fawned remorse.
"Well, I don't have one so I wouldn't be able to join in." Évangéline shrugged her shoulders.
"Don't worry Evan, I have a purple one I was going to give you." Enid waves off Évangéline. "And actually, Wednesday, you left yours at the Weathervane. Luckily, Bianca brought it back." Enid held out two snoods towards her friends.
"Like a monkey's paw." Wednesday took the snood, soon followed by Évangéline.
The three girls left the room, Enid leading the way, missing the small high five shared between Wednesday and Évangéline, and eye roll.
Wednesday had organised a ride, that ride being Tyler. Évangéline had always gotten weird vibes from him every time they were in contact, he was always so awkward with her every time she goes to Weathervane.
Enid and Évangéline got into the car after Wednesday, seeing their driver. "Wait, he's our Uber driver?" Enid asks.
"Uber driver?" Tyler looked back at Enid and Évangéline then to Wednesday. "I thought we weee going in a date?"
"I thought this was a girls' night out." Enid complained in the back.
"There's been a change of plans." Wednesday explained, not looking at the two.
"What's up with the weird matching hoodie scarf things?" Tyler asked another question, sparring Évangéline a glance.
"Don't ask." Wednesday interrupted. "Just drive."
Meanwhile, a figure was making his way towards Wednesday and Enid's dorm window. "Hey, Wednesday?" Xavier called through the window, rapping his knuckles on the glass. "Are you guys in here?" He took a deep breath. "I know it's a bit weird that you saw the drawing of Évangéline, but I just want to talk to you for a second."
Nothing was answering him, yet he heard typing. Opening the window, he saw it was Thing typing. "Where is she Thing? Is she with Angel?"
The four arrives at the gates of the Gates mansion. "Seriously, you wanna go in there." Enid asks in disbelief. "This place is creepy AF."
"I know." Wednesday was suppressing a smile.
"Okay. This isn't what I signed up for." Tyler refused.
"Ditto." Enid agreed.
"It could be...fun." Évangéline suggested, earning a look from Enid and Tyler.
"You were in on this?" Enid's jaw dropped.
"I didn't want to celebrate my birthday by going to dinner or a surprise party." Wednesday saved Évangéline. "I want to do this." She had unlocked the gate.
"Then you shoulda just said so. You didn't have to trick us." Tyler tried to reason.
"If either of you want to go, you can." Wednesday began to walk away, Évangéline following. "We are going to check out the garage."
All four had reached the garage door, just to see it was locked. Both Tyler and Wednesday had tried, both failed.
"Can I try?" Enid asked, looking at Évangéline and Wednesday; both giving her a nod. With just a few tugs, the door broke open.
The garage was dark and dingy. Évangéline had found a light, revealing a covered car. The flickering lights covered up, but failed, the colour of the car; blue.
"That's the car that hit the mayor." Enid's voice spoke from behind Wednesday. "Okay. This just took a dark turn. We need to call Tyler's dad right freaking now."
"Why?" Wednesday asked, not wanting the sheriff to be involved. "So he can take me back to Nevermore and get me expelled? It's not gonna happen."
Making their way deeper into the house, they knew it had been abandoned. The dust particles were floating around, spider webs decorated corners.
"This is the night I'm gonna die." Évangéline's corroer voice quivered. She had been happy in the beginning, but she doesn't know what she got herself into.
Slowly, they entered a room full of cobwebs and antlers; it seemed to be someone's study. All four were looking around for anything that could be what they were looking for.
Wednesday had pressed something on the bookshelf; revealing a painting, showing the hatred towards outcasts. "Who doesn't have a spooky built in altar in their family library?" Évangéline sarcastically asked no one in particular.
"Ours is in the living room." Wednesday drawled, earning a look from Évangéline, Enid and Tyler. "More seating for year long Día de los muertos."
The candles along the bottom of the painting caught Évangéline's eyes. Walking up to them, she felt them; lifting her hand back up, she eyed the residue and turned around. "They're still warm."
"Tyler and Évangéline, you check the rest of the ground floor." Wednesday ordered. "Enid and I will search upstairs." Enid and Wednesday walked off, leaving Tyler and Évangéline.
Both Tyler and Évangéline stayed together. That was until they approached two rooms. "I go left." Évangéline shone a light towards the left side of the hallway. "You go,"
"Right." Tyler finished, both shining a torch to the right side of the hallway.
Évangéline was finally alone. Not that she wanted to in these circumstances, yet she enjoyed it. The room was one of the bigger rooms, seems like it had been a living room.
She had finished in that room, not seeing anything notable, and made her way to Tyler's room. "Tyler?" She asked, not seeing him in the kitchen. Looking around, she didn't see the table and walked into it. Causing something to fall and to shatter.
Using her powers, she lifted it up and saw it was newly bought flowers. Hearing another shatter, she turned. Seeing nothing, she continued to inspect the flowers.
The sound of growling was prominent, almost like the growling she had heard on outreach day. Turning around to could see the heavy breathing monster she had seen many times; that being once in person and many paintings by Xavier. The hot breath was prominent and the smell of blood was lingering.
Forcing herself out of the shocked trance, she turned to run away. This was halted as the monster had sunk its claws into her shoulder. "Run!" She shouted, her voice hoarse showing her pain.
Holding her left hand to her right shoulder, she could feel the blood loss. Tyler's voice could finally be heard, "Guys! Get out! It's here!" The slashes she had not long heard was prominent and was followed with a scream from Tyler.
She had ran up the stairs to see Enid and Wednesday, "The dum waiter. Go!" She winced multiple times, holding her arm tighter.
The deep footsteps were making their way up the stairs, following the three girls. Finding themselves in the dumbwaiter, the monster was only a few steps behind.
The repetitive oh my god was being whispered by Enid, who was behind her, got more prominent when she saw the mess of Évangéline's shoulder. Then it was silent, no growling, no panicking, no movement.
"Ah!" Enid screamed as the monster started roaring loudly, shaking the weak stability of the house. Évangéline would've been screaming, only she wasn't so focused of passing out. "Not your snood!" Enid whisper shouted as Wednesday used her black snood to hold the entrance closed. The monster was getting incredibly angry, the girls know this because of the claw marks made, showing the angry look it had.
The fraying of the rope, holding them up, was echoing in the almost silent dum waiter. Both Enid and Évangéline started screaming as the rope snapped, pushing the girls down multiple floors it seemed like.
Rolling out into a lab sort of place, the confusion was prominent. The thundering footsteps caused fallout underneath the monster, making Enid Évangéline and Wednesday run for the window.
Just as Enid was about to go outside, the door of the basement had been busted open. Enid was safely outside, Évangéline and Wd essay were still there.
"Wednesday! Come on!" Évangéline shouted over the monsters footsteps.
"What are you doing?" Enid pushed the window open, wondering why her two friends hadn't joined her.
"These are the body parts from the monster's victims." Wednesday was too involved, both girls needed to leave.
"Wednesday!" Évangéline looked at the monster, seeing the monster pull over a shelf. "We need to go now!" The pain was less prominent in her arm, as she was more worried about her and Wednesdays life.
Pushing Wednesday out before her, she was almost struck again by the monster. Landing in the floor, she tried to regulate her breathing. The three girls stood up, one wincing, as Wednesday looked at the other two. "You okay?"  Both Évangéline and Enid gave her a are you serious look.
"Since when do you care?" Enid voiced both of the girls, storming off. Following Enid, the pain was slowly coming back. Évangéline wiped the blood in her hand on the front of her jeans. "Wednesday what the hell are you doing?" Enid yelled at the black haired girl retreating to the house.
"We have to go back for Tyler!" She continued running. All Évangéline could think of was that Wednesday said we. We? She was bleeding out of her arm, literally five minutes ago she was struck by the monster that was in there.
They had found Tyler, heavy breathing and in the same condition she felt she was in. "Enid, hold this." Wednesday shoved her torch into Enid's hand, then tending to Tyler.
Slumping against the wall, wincing in immense pain, she just wanted to go back to Nevermore. Opening her eyes, she was met with someone she wouldn't expect to show up; Xavier.
"Where'd you come from?" Wednesday asked Xavier, turning her head away from Tyler.
He handed over his scarf for Tyler. "Here. Take this. "Looking past Tyler he saw Évangéline, pushing her head back and gritting her teeth. "Angel," his eyes softened, seeing his Angel holding her shoulder and was in obvious pain.
Cursing under his breath, as he didn't have anything he could put on her. Looking at her head, he saw the snood. Pulling the purple fabric off of her head, and holding her head up as it lulled to the side, he applied pressure to the wound. "What happened to them?" Xavier was met with silence.
The newly group of five had made their way to Tyler's house; Xavier driving, Enid in the passenger seat with Wednesday in the middle of the slumped Tyler and Évangéline.
In Tyler's living room, Wednesday had found butterfly stitches in the medical kit in his bathroom. Wednesday was patching up Tyler, Xavier with Évangéline. Because of the position of the slash, Évangéline had to remove her jumper and shirt. Her clothes were absolutely ruined. Covered in blood, and long cuts. She was utterly embarrassed.
Every time Évangéline winced Cavier would mutter a quick sorry. Xavier was shortly finished and looked at Évangéline with pity. She was holding her shredded bloody clothes to her chest and had dried tears underneath her eyes. Realising the situation she was in, he pulled off his coat and secured it around her shoulders.
Looking over she gave him a thankful smile and pulled her arms through the holes. "Not to make this about me, but i am having. A full blown panic attack right now." Enid's voice interrupted the moment between the two, eyes focused on something in the room. "We need to get back before Weems realises we've been gone."
Then, the door opened; making the teenagers look at the intruder. Seeing it was the sherif, Évangéline tightened the hold she had on Xavier's coat. "What the hell happened?" He took steps into the room towards Wednesday, "This was you wasn't it?"
"Wait, Dad, please. I'm okay." Tyler stopped his father before he could do some damage.
"Sherif, I understand you're upset, but I think you need to see something." Wednesdays voiced quivered.
Walking towards Enid and Wednesday's room, she heard the end part of the argument between the two. "You didn't have to because that's what friends do!" Enid yelled, "the fact that you don't know that says everything." She picked up her bags. "You want to be alone, Wednesday? Be alone." Enid walked past Évangéline, then she made eye contact with Wednesday.
"Ev," Wednesday's voice was weak.
Seeing Wednesday walk forwards she stopped her, "Just stop, Wednesday." Seeing the look of confusion on the girls face she explained. "You have put not only me, but Enid and Tyler in danger. You didn't even realise I was almost bleeding out. But you noticed Tyler! I was on your side, but you just kick it back in my face. Xavier was there for, what? Five seconds? And realised I was bleeding, or at least I was in pain."
Without sparing Wednesday a second look, she turned around and made her way back to her dorm.

Évangéline was over filled with happiness. Ajax and Yoko were currently in her dorm watching her pace around the room overjoyed that she had plans with Xavier later.
"I can't believe he wants to hang out with me!" She squealed, holding tight to a small pink stuffed bear Ajax had gotten her for her previous birthday.
Yoko and Ajax were just nosing along with content smiles on their faces Évangéline pranced around the room. "But what if it's this big joke?" She started twisting the head of the bear, "What if I'm just a way to make Bianca jealous? I mean I wouldn't know what to do!"
Before she could start another sentence, Ajax had pulled the bear out of her grasp, "Okay, Ev. Let's put Pinky down before she breaks." Walking towards her bed and placing Pinky in her proclaimed space.
"He wants to hang out, Evie. Why else would you guys be talking in a hallway?" Yoko rubbed Évangéline's shoulder. "And, also, if he hurts you in anyway-" she activated her teeth, "you know who to call."
"Okay, let's not kill my friend." Ajax spoke from Évangéline's bed, earning a small laugh from Yoko and Évangéline.
Later on in the day, Évangéline has received a text from an unknown number.
Hey it's Xavier Ajax gave me your number
Then, her phone dinged again.
About later just wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty meet me at the courtyard
She was thankful Ajax was friends with Xavier and that she now have his number. Not knowing what they would've been doing in his art shed, she probably would've worn clothes she minded getting dirty. Putting on a tight cropped black shirt, being half dressed, she looked at herself in the mirror. Her hands brushed down the sides of her body, pin pointing every detail and curve. Turning to the side, she continued to look. Letting out a sigh, she stepped into some dark red joggers and made her way to the courtyard.
She arrived and already saw Xavier, he was wearing blue and his hair was up in a half up half down style. When he had heard her footsteps, he looked towards the noise. He was thankful that Évangline had came and not ditched him. He didn't know what the feeling was, but it was a feeling that he wanted to protect her and shield her from all things bad.
After the two he greeted one another they set off into the woods. "Why do you have a secret art shed in the woods anyway?" Évangéline looked over to her companion.
"It's just an old shed I found. Asked Weems if I cleared it out if I could use it." Xavier shrugged, fiddling with the zip of his hoodie.
Soon enough they had found his shed. Waking in, Évangéline was immediately blown away with the heat of the room. "How is it already so warm in here?" She asked closing the door.
"I was in here not too long ago." Xavier avoided eye contact as he noted Évangéline's eyes scanning the room. "Sorry, um, about the paintings." He gestured around.
"Oh, no, it's fine. I see you have a muse." Évangéline laughed. "So, what did you want to do?"
"How good are you at painting?" Xavier asked, already knowing the answer.
"I'm the absolute worst at it!" Évangéline spoke exasperated. "I swear I can't even draw a stick man."
Xavier was busy laughing at the girl, too busy to notice that she came over and lightly slapped his arm. "Hey! Not everyone is as good as you."
"I would say I'm not that good, but you've seen my work." He nonchalantly bragged, smirking a little seeing her playful eye roll.
The evening was full of playful jabs at each other and somehow ended up in covering each other in layers of paint. The room was full of laughs as each of them slowly got more and more paint on them. Fortunately, paint was running low, Xavier hand one more plan.
He was striding towards Évangéline with a grin. This halted her movements, not knowing what to do. Before she knew it, paint was being glided across her cheek. The shocked expression made Xavier laugh, so much so he was closing his eyes. This resulted in paint smeared across his face as well.
The paint kept smearing paint on their faces. That was until Xavier's has halted in its attack, on her cheek. All Évangéline could do was stare at Hmmm, in shock and awe. She kept noticing the constant flicking of his eyes to her lips, she was reciprocating.
Their breathing deepened, slowly starting to share breaths. Évangéline couldn't believe what was happening. Was he moving in? Was she moving in?
Their song slowly became quieter as their moment got deeper. That was until footsteps were heard.
"I need your help." The voice of Wednesday interrupted them, causing them yo oneday LG break away from each other. Xavier and Évangéline looked at each other, still heavy breathing.
"Couldn't it wait for tomorrow?" Xavier asked, just realised his appearance, covered in paint. He saw Wednesday hold out a drawing. "You want some drawing lessons?" Taking the drawing he didn't realise Évangéline coming up behind him.
"Hey, Xavier. I'm going to go. See you around." She smiled, overflowing with emotions. She needed to get out. She walked towards the door, giving Wednesday a small bye as she walked past.

Previous Chapter
It was Wednesdays birthday. Thing had let it slip to Évangéline few days prior. It was Enid's job to lure Wednesday to Crackstones crypt, and everyone to set up. Évangéline was worried on what Wednesday would say, she could guess the girl didn't want to have all these people celebrating her. Holding the 'death' cake, with the pink balloon, Évangéline took a deep breath.
The small murmuring of Enid and Wednesday could be heard outside. The room instantly went quiet, finding their hiding spaces. All was fine, until Ajax coughed.
"Whoever you are, show yourself." Wednesday pointed her torch around, looking for the culprit. "Try anything and you'll lose limbs."
"Surprise!" Everyone spoke, coming out of their hiding space. A chorus of the song Happy Birthday began as Évangéline walked towards Wednesday with a cake, offering a sorry smile.
Looking towards Thing, Wednesday saw the party hat and the moving of a finger, pretending to be orchestrating the song.
"I should have know you were behind this." Thing 'looked' downwards in sorrow. "What part of 'No party under the penalty of death' do you not understand?"
"I thought my cake design was pretty inspired." Xavier interrupted Wednesday reprimanding thing.
"The pink balloon was me and Evan." Enid spoke, smiling and nodding with Évangéline. "Why don't you make a wish?"
Wednesday gave a death stare to the cake and Thing. "Wait, it's Latin." Wednesday shone a light onto some lain carvings. "Fire will rain... when k rise."
"That's not really a wish." Enid deep panned, not seeing what Wednesday was fixated on.
"The first part of that was burned into Nevermore's lawn." Évangéline spoke towards Wednesday.
"It can't be a coincidence." The dark haired girl looked backwards.
"Wait, we're never eating that cake, are we?" Ajax asked, everyone was quietly watching Wednesday. She started to have a vision.
Seeing the girl lean all the way backwards, she pushed the cake into the closest person, this person being Xavier, and went to go catch Wednesday.
Everyone had turned their eyes to Évangéline, almost silently asking what's going on. The only look that didn't question her was Xavier.
Évangéline was looking for Wednesday, wanting to ask her about her vision. She had found her darker haired companion staring at the extinguished 'Fire will rain'.
"Wednesday!" At the sound of her name she looked behind, seeing the pink and brown haired girl quickening her pace. "What happened in your vision, last night?" She questioned, quieting her voice when she get nearer.
"I would rather not disclose." Wednesday's eyes darted to their fellow pupils, "not here at least." The two girls faces the ashy grass, basking in all its 'glory'.
"Last night, in the crypt, you had another vision. Didn't you?" A different voice spoke out of no where, making Évangéline jolt in her space. He whispered a quick sorry, making her heart swell in its place.
"I didn't realise we were back on speaking terms." Wednesday replied, eyes trained on the grass. Évangéline looked between Xavier and Wednesday and excused herself, seeing as if what they were about to talk about was a private matter.
Évangéline had finished her classes for the day and was wondering the castle. Her school had always been a place to intrigue her. Ever since she first attended, she knew she could get lost in her own thoughts as they echoed through her head and corridors of Nevermore. Her silence was interrupted by a tall dirty blonde.
"Évangéline," It was twice today Évangéline had seen Xavier. To her, it was odd. Throughout all their years in Nevermore, Xavier had never payed attention to her. To Évangéline, he would always brush over the fact that she was present. After years of pining, she was so close to succeeding. She wouldn't even be mad if they never became 'boyfriend and girlfriend', she would be content even just as friends.
"Hi!" At the sound of that she realised she was being to enthusiastic for this time of night. Clearing her throat, she started again, "Hi, Xavier." She sounded a lot calmer now, although she didn't feel it. She felt as it her stomach was doing jumping jacks and her heart wanted to crawl it's way up her throat.
The awkward tension between Évangéline and Xavier could be clearly cut with a blunt spoon. Neither of them knew what to say, Xavier had no idea what he was going to say to her. He knew he was finished when she turned and widened her eyes at the first 'hi'.
The clicking of heels were heard down the hall, breaking Xavier and Évangéline break out of silence. He clicking of heels was almost used as a refresher for Xavier, as now he knew what he was going to ask.
"Do you, uh, like art." He held the bale of his neck as he looked down awaiting an answer from the girl.
Meanwhile, Évangéline could only think of the drawing she had seen that one night in his room. "Yeah, I love it!" That was the truth, kind of. She liked looking at art and people doing art. Drawing was a no go for her. The only art form she could do was creative writing, and that wasn't even as visual as a painting would be. She could create pictures in the form of words just fine, but Xavier didn't have to know that.
Xavier did know that. "Well, I have this art shed. And I was wondering if you wanted to hang out, there, sometime?"  He had a bashful look in his eyes as he looked at the shorter girl, awaiting and answer.
"Of course, I would love that!" She smiled, seeing his smile as well.

The father and daughter duo had been spending two hours together. Évangéline was weary of his mood, what could make a work obsessed man so happy?
Her father had been talking about how much he had missed her for over two hours, recalling the memories of when she was younger. Évangéline was getting more agitated by the second. "Pourquoi es-tu si content!" [Why are you so happy!] She interrupted, immediately feeling bad as she saw the crest fallen expression her father had.
"I just wanted to be better Evie." His serious manner came back. Tears pooled in her eyes, she didn't know what to do. If she knew how her dad felt she wouldn't of bursted.
Although she was happy. Her father wanted to spend time with her, yet she felt as if she was the bad guy. "Sorry, dad." She apologised, looking through her lashes.
"It's fine, I get it. You were probably planning the day to spend with friends. Or Vincent's boy." Évangéline gave her dad a gobsmacked look. "Like I said, he's a good kid." She then continued to narrow her eyes, not wanting to be caught about a massive crush on a boy by her dad. Embarrassing! "Ne me regarde pas comme ça," [don't look at me like that,] he pointed his car keys at his daughter. "The looks I've seen him give you are the ones I gave your mother." He reminisced.
At the mention of the girls mother had her shocked. Her dad had never mentioned her before, even though loving her for so many years. "I'm sorry, Evie."
The scraping of plates and murmurs of gratitude were heard through the courtyard. Évangéline was now enjoying food at a table with her father, they had been catching up within the time she had left Xavier.
Thinking of him, Évangéline couldn't see him anywhere. Évangéline's father could see she was looking around, and had a hunch of who. Her head had snapped in the direction of her father, thanks to his magic, "Chercher." [look up]
She had looked to her previous place from this morning, seeing a sombre Xavier looking at the families. "Excuse-moi," Évangéline excuses herself from the singular table.
Walking up the treacherous steps, she worked up a small sweat. At the fact of this, she paused not wanting to to look a mess. Finishing her walk she saw the boy. "Hi," She was shaking, was she ever one to start a conversation?
The 'Hi' startled Xavier as he gave a, "Woah!" Spinning round he saw Évangéline. Was her hair different? Her makeup? He didn't know, but whatever was different he liked it.
"Are you ok?" It was such a simple question, yet he had such a complex answer. Barely anyone asked him that these days.
Just as he was about to answer, the sheriff had entered the school. "Gomez Addams." Both of the teenagers looked over the railing to see the commotion, abandoning their previous conversation.
"How can I help you sheriff?" Wednesdays dad asked the sheriff, Évangéline had an idea that Mr Addams knew.
"You're under arrest for the murder of Garret Gates." He placed handcuffs into the shorter man. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used abusent you in the court of law."
Évangéline could hear Wednesdays younger brother call out to his father, she felt bad for pugsly? She didn't know his name, Wednesday had probably mentioned him twice.
"You have the right to an attorney." The sheriff continued to drag Gomez away. "If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you." Everyone was looking at the scene unfold.
Enid had been complaining all weekend about how her mother wants her to got to Camp Howl to get her to wolf out. But she had finally found the confidence to refuse.
"You'll need to pick which activity-" her mother began.
"No I don't." Enid stopped her mother, seeing a smiling Évangéline and Yoko behind her mother with thumbs up. "Because I'm not going. Not this summer. Not ever. If I'm meant to wolf out, then I'm going to do it in my own timeline and not yours." Évangéline smiled at her friend. "I hope that one day, you'll finally accept me for who I am."
Enid's mother had walked away after Enid's perfect speech. This didn't dampen her smile, instead mad wit even bigger as she had a big bear hug from her father.
It was time for Évangéline to say goodbye to her father. "Prends soin de toi mon chérie." [take care my darling]Her father was smiling, he was happy to spend some time with his daughter. He didn't know whether they were on hugging basis so he turned with a glum smile.
Évangéline knew she had to act fast, she didn't want this moment to end. Who knows what he'll be like next time she sees him. So, she tackled the older into a hug from behind. The two were there for what seemed to be hours, neither of them minded.

Parent's Weekend, the days Évangéline hates the most. After seeing the loving families when she arrives after the summer, she hates this even more. Families act like they haven't seen their kids in hundreds of years. Every year, no one came to see Évangéline. She once asked her father why, his excuse was; 'I'm too busy with work.'.
As she leant against the balcony, watching her principal giving a speech. "Nevermore was created as a safe haven for our children to learn and grow no matter who or what they are." Weems was met with a round of applause for the oh so original speech. "I realise most of you have heard about the unfortunate incident involving one of our students." She was talking about Eugene. Évangéline had never really spoken to the younger boy, all she knew that he was a loner who enjoyed bees.
Rolling her eyes at the rest of what Weems was saying, she turned going to walk away. Only to be met with a figure she wasn't expecting. "Oh mon Dieu! [oh my gosh!] Xavier!" She held a hand to her chest, steadying her breathing. "What are you doing here?" She anxiously fixed her hair.
"Not sure how much of this family togetherness I can take." He leaning against the barrier of where she was. "Sorry for scaring you." He awkwardly smiled.
"Are you ok?" Évangéline tilted her head, "You look very, red?" Was he blushing? Over her? Was this progress? Going off of what Bianca had said last weekend?
"Oh, yeah." He scratched that back of his neck, brushing over the scabbed over wound. "Just peachy." Just peachy? What is he, stupid? "I just, you know, went on a run." He talked with his hands, pushing his point further.
Évangéline turned towards the quad, looking for anyone that resembles Xavier. "Is, um, anyone here today? For you." Évangéline asked, finding anyway to not makes eye contact.
"No, my dads a no show. Again." Xavier pushed his hands deep as possible into his pockets and scuffed his foot. "I got a text this morning." Then, he looked around. Seeing if anyone resembled his Angel. "Anyone here for you?" He noticed the disheartened look she had.
"My dad has never visited. Always says 'works busy', it gets annoying after a while." Évangéline shrugged, closing her arms around her body.
"That's no way to talk young lady." His voice made Évangéline and Xavier freeze, for two different reasons. Xavier was scared of being told off for being with the girl and being partly the reason she looked upset, and obviously never hearing that voice in his life. Évangéline had a mixture of excitement and resentment. Her dad was here, yay. But also she was having a one on one with Xavier. And he's never bothered to show his face before.
Évangéline didn't know whether she would cry with happiness or run away crying out of frustration. "Dad." She dragged on, awkwardly smiling.
"Whose this young man?" He smiled, an odd behaviour for him, "No wait. You're Vincent Thorpe's boy. Aren't you?" His behaviour was confusing Évangéline. Why was he here? Why is he being so nice? Especially after he's caught her with a boy. Alone! What happened to the "No boys" rule?
"Uh, yes. Yes sir." Xavier nodded, stuttering his words. He was also confused.
"I knew that man when it was our days here, not spoken in a while. Send him my greetings." The smile would not leave his face. "C'est un bon garçon Evie." [he's a good lad Evie.] Her father winked.
Évangéline was immediately was embarrassed by this. "Papa arrête!" [Dad stop!] she whisper shouted, even though she was 99% sure Xavier couldn't understand a word in French; seeing he has a very confused and awkward face.
"Well, me and Evie will be off." At her fathers statement directed at Xavier, she was confused. Off? Off to where? "Hope to see you soon Xavier." And with that Charles had walked off.
"Oh mon Dieu,"[Oh my gosh,] Évangéline cursed. "You heard him, bye Xavier. And, uh, sorry." She walked off, avoiding eye contact. Xavier wasn't mad, he was giddy. He had an irascible smile on his face.
He loved it when she spoke French.

It was finally Saturday, the day of the Rave'N. Évangéline was still on the fence about how to feel about the night. Walking in, she had been shocked. The room was beautiful and had couples and friends dancing to the upbeat song MC Blood Suckaz was playing.
Évangéline was talking to her date, Marshall, about anything that came to mind. She was enjoying her night. She had seen Enid so she excused herself to go get a drink. Her laughs with Enid had been cut short by a couple walking into the dance.
Time seemed to stop. The music wasn't playing in her ears anymore. She couldn't hear Enid asking what's wrong. All she could remember what happened the year prior.
The year prior
The theme for the RaveN was disco fever. A fourteen year old Évangéline stood by herself trying to get the courage to ask her long time crush Xavier Thorpe, who was fifteen at the time, to dance.
Walking up to him, all she saw was him kissing Bianca Barclay. This halted her movements. Time seemed to stop. The music wasn't playing in her ears anymore. She didn't notice Enid come up to her. She couldn't hear Enid asking what's wrong.
Breaking out of her memories, she realised Marshall had joined her and Enid. Feeling embarrassed she took a big drink of the spiked punch and sped walked away.
The door had opened, showing a short girl in a dark dress. It was Wednesday. Realising it was Wednesday made her confused, Wednesday had ditched Xavier.
Her mood had been dampened. Ignoring the feelings she was feeling, she had been constantly drinking the spiked punch. It was making her more emotional, meaning she was drinking even more.
A song came on when everyone was on the dance floor. The beginning of the guitar played. Évangéline smiled at the song, remembering the times when she was younger with her father in the kitchen with her mother laughing along. When life was perfect.
She grabbed Marshall's hand and brought him to the dance floor. She sung along with the song as well, clearly drunk but enjoying her time. 'When the sun goes down, and the moon comes up.'
Marshall was dancing along and laughing at the girl enjoy herself. "I turn into a teenage goo goo muck!" She held up her hand as an imaginary microphone.
The sound on the radio filled the small kitchen of the family of threes house in France. A man in his early thirties was dancing around with his five year old daughter singing along with her. "Yeah, I cruise through there city and I roam the streets." He did a dance move, making his daughter laugh.
He looked up to his wife, seeing the big smile as she watched her family entertain themselves. "Looking for something that is nice to eat!" The giggling of his daughter caught his attention as she spun around the kitchen, careful not to spill the yogurt in her hands.
"You better duck," He pointed at her, causing her to squat down. "When I show up." He picked her up, swinging her around. "The goo goo muck!" Both shouted.
The song continued and Enid had joined Évangéline and Marshall. The two girls and boy, joined their friends dancing with each other. They weren't too far away from the table with Xavier and Bianca sitting at the table, meaning Évangéline could just about hear their conversation.
"Do me a favour." The voice of Xavier more or less asked Bianca. "Take off your amulet and make me forget about her." She had no idea who he was on about. Her back was faced them, missing his gaze.
She drowned out their conversation thinking they were on about Wednesday. All she wanted to think about is the happiness the song had brought her.
The song had come to a finish. She watched Wednesday leave the room. She was filled with confusion. She was still mad at her, but couldn't help to feel protective of the Addams girl.
Following her into a hallway of sorts she noticed Bianca. "Whoever invented high heels clearly had a side hustle as a torturer." Wednesday complained, removing her shoes.
"As my dear mother always says 'Fire tests gold, suffering tests a woman.'." Bianca replied, looking glum.
"Speaking of suffering, where's your date?" Wednesday looked at the  Barclay girl, talking about Xavier. "I didn't see you and Xavier in the dance floor."
"We had a little tiff." Bianca looked towards the dark haired girl. "About Évangéline." This shocked Évangéline. Xavier had wanted to forget her! "You and Évangéline don't know what it's like."
"Being beautiful and popular? Because I'm pretty sure a lot of people would agree when I say Évangéline is beautiful." Wednesday asked, not believing Bianca's struggles. The small complement made Évangéline smile, Wednesday was beautiful herself and then being called beautiful brought a smile to her face.
"Never knowing people's true feelings." Bianca looked upset, in a way Évangéline felt sorry for her. "If someone like me for me."
"What about your amulet?" Both girls looked toward the necklace.
"It's not foolproof. It's a mild prophylactic, so to speak." Bianca couldn't look Wednesday in her eyes. "That's why Xavier broke up with me. He could never fully trust me." Shocking both Wednesday and Évangéline from her honesty. "The worst part is I could never trust his feelings either. I never knew if they were real or not." There was a stunned silence. "You're lucky."
Évangéline had felt bad for intruding on the moment between Bianca and Wednesday. Slowly walking back into the dance she looked around for someone she recognised. The honesty of Bianca had sobered her up, calming her feelings down.
"Yo, yo, yo! Almost eleven o'clockity, so haul it out on the dance floor one last time, before the Rave'N says 'Nevermore!'."
"Who needs to go to sleep, when I got you next to me?" The song began playing. Enid and Évangéline loved this song and started singing and dancing together.
Then, a long bang was heard faintly over the music. Not many noticed it. If anyone noticed it. Évangéline noticed it. Enid just noticed the confused look on her face.
"What's wrong?" Enid smile dropped, worried for her friend.
"Nothing, I thought I heard something." The two girls continued dancing.
Then, a red liquid was spraying from the pipes; sizing some people's moments, out of confusion. Eventually everyone stopped, looking as their all white attire was ruined.
The liquid came down heavier, adding more shock value to the scene. That is when the screaming began. People were slipping as they tried to run away from what seemed like blood.
The scream of their head teacher was heard as the loudest as the night was ruined. Évangéline had made her way out of the room, being terrified for her life. All she could remember what had happened to Rowan, bringing her back to that night.
An angry Xavier was walking around the room, wanting to leave. "What the hell are you doing man?" He demanded.
"Trying to get out, it's not exactly blood." Marshall responded, not too happy that the red liquid wasn't blood. "Have you seen Évangéline? I lost her." Marshall looked around once more for the girl.
"How should I know? She's your date." A passive aggressive Xavier walked away, leaving the vampire to look around.

"While most plants reward their pollinators with sweet nectar, many carnivorous varieties turn to sexual trickery or deception." Miss Thornhill explained to her students. After her explanation Évangéline heard a grunt behind her. Looking towards the noise, she saw Xavier grabbing a book.
Noticing her stare, as well as Wednesdays, "I tweaked my back fencing."
"The orchid produces a pheromone that mimics a female insect, luring the males in." Miss Thornhill brought Évangéline's attention back to her. "Now, once the plant is pollinated, what do the make insects get in exchange?"
"Nada. Just like all the guys at the Rave'N." Bianca joked, earning some laughs throughout the class.
"Okay, okay. I know you're all excited about Saturday, which is why I haven't assigned any homework." Miss Thornhill interrupted, eating a few cheers. "But I do still need volunteers for the decorating committee." Some student raised their hands. "Anyone interested, come and see me up here."
Évangéline didn't raise her hand, remembering what had happened the year prior. "You're not volunteering?" Marshall asked Évangéline.
Looking at him with a confused look, he carried on. "Are you even going? I would love to see you there." With that Évangéline just nodded and walked away.
Days had gone by and news of Wednesday asking Xavier to the dance. Évangéline didn't know how to feel. Wednesday knew how much Évangéline liked Xavier.
Throughout those days, Évangéline had been spending time with Ajax. He had felt awful for ghosting Enid after he ditched her. He was too embarrassed to say the real reason, he had stoned himself. Évangéline had been ghosting Wednesday as well, feeling too betrayed to talk to her.
"Hey, Évangéline!" A voice sounded behind her. She had been walking through the quad with Ajax before Marshall had been calling her.
She turned around and saw an out of breath Marshall. "Can we, um, talk?" He asked, a very much different demeanour than he had on outreach day. Évangéline nodded with a weary smile.
"I'll find you later Ajax." She smiled at her friend. Both Marshall and Évangéline walked into a secluded area. "So what's wrong?"
"I just wanted to apologise. I was a dick on outreach day. It's just that I really like you and some of my friends told me to act like that, and I was stupid enough to do it." Marshall sheepishly apologised.
"I forgive you. Thank you for apologising." Évangéline smiled, and began to walk off.
"Wait!" Marshall grabbed her wrist, "I was, um, wondering if you wanted to go to the Rave'N with me?" He looked at Évangéline, seeing if their was any chance.
She paused, thinking of an answer. On one hand, he apologised and seemed to be back to normal. On the other, she still had a crush on Xavier and didn't want to use Marshall as a rebound or to make Xavier jealous.
