My entry for the FanFest EU 2023 art contest! I had the idea somewhere in my mind ever since I finished Endwalker... wanted to show the winding journey through the Aitiascope dungeon

I made it as a finalist, which I'm still so blown away and happy about...

An update! Changed a lot but the web site is a lot more stable now.

Also got some more people to test the webbed site so there are more people. I've cleaned it up a lot, so i am going from testing more to beta.

Somethings I'm still working on:

Docs, for any residual information I may want to add.

Possibility of adding venues to the website (BIG MAYBE)

Refine search (ALSO maybe, its not bad but its not great)

Endwalker where everything is the same, but you meet the spirits of the past along the way.

The Sharlayans constructed the Antitower in the Dravanian Hinterlands to study the aetherial sea, eventually learning of the Final Days from Hydaelyn. After the exodus, the Antitower was entrusted to Matoya. They built the Aitiascope in Labyrinthos to continue their research.

Much more advanced than its predecessor, the Aitiascope allowed Sharlayans to peer even deeper into the aetherial sea in search for Hydaelyn's voice that grew fainter and fainter by the years.

I've finished leveling trusts to 100, and I'd like to hand out some awards:

Best Healer: G'raha, for being the only one to never make me invuln

Best Tank: ME, because Thancred hasn't earned it

Best Damage: Alisaie, for inventing the double limit break

Best Dungeon To Do 18 Times In A Row: The Aitiascope

Best Expansion For Trusts: Endwalker

Dishonorable mention to the first dungeon of every expansion for being horrible to do in trusts

you know. i do actually find ilberd to be very sympathetic, even without any supplemental reading, despite the game continuing to treat him like he was just an evil guy and every time i think about how the scions react to him in the aitiascope vs the other bosses i get so mad on his behalf

ffxiv is like...I log in, I queue for trials, a clown man with tentacles attempts to yeet me into the void, I queue for normal raids, a clown man successfully yeets me into the void, I queue for alliance, a clown man's clone turns me into a frog, I queue for leveling, a pre-clown man throws himself at me buttass naked, I queue for 50/60, I witness the clown man's apocalypse, I do not queue for msq, I log out

how do any of you characters feel about Livia Sas Junius

Thank you!! This is a wonderful choice because damn was Ahru's beef with Livia kind of formative in those early ARR days.

Oh Livia. To say Ahru has a bad opinion of the woman would be an understatement, the attack on the Waking Sands did a real number on her mentally, the echo replaying the events in her nightmares mercilessly. The memory of Livia calling for Ahru specifically as she gunned down her comrades haunted her and twisted into a relentless rage and vengeance. It’s funny (haha…) to me how Livia was so dead set on this idea that Ahru was going to come steal everything from her, and Ahru’s vengeance was pinned on Livia stealing everything from her. She would kill her, burn everything Livia had worked so hard for, and protect those she could yet save.

So yeah, she kind of just reviles the woman; Ahru isn't prone to vengeance or grudges on the regular, she's generally laid-back and forgiving, but some (Livia and Ilberd) hit her so wrong mentioning them will still sour her mood some. She might entertain a pinch of pity, but definitely not in a remotely endeared sense of the word. Straight-up condescending pity. Of course, she’s dead now, so there’s a satisfaction to that, and Ahru has come far enough it’s not as if she’d have any reason to further dwell on- wait… what… Who’s that in the Aitiascope-?

Needless to say Thancred’s trust line “I thought we were past all of this.” (paraphrasing) cracked me up for how spot-on it felt. But, it’s true. There were far more important things to deal with, and she’s grown and learned and moved on, and Livia’s still festering in the aetherial sea, so nyeh.
