A/N: i’m the biggest frido fan on this planet so this sucked to write ily frido 🙁. i wrote this at 12:30 am so it’s not very good + not proofread and i’m very sorry in advance

You grew up loving Spanish football.

The technicality of it was your favourite thing and later on, you tried to incorporate it into your own play style. It set you apart from your teammates and made you stand out… until she came along.

The Swedish talent, incredible defender, the attacking fullback of everyone’s dreams. Fridolina Rolfö. You had played against her a handful of times and she was nothing short of talented; she was probably the first fullback you had seen that dribbled so high up the wing with so much confidence and actually managed to make something out of it.

Your usual position was in the midfield, but when your starting right back got injured, you found yourself shoved into a completely new position. You loved carrying the ball up the field and creating plays or dictating the game, but from the back, you could hardly do that. Due to the lack of real opportunities to let yourself shine, Fridolina got all the attention. The more goals she scored, the more assists she got, the more headlines she made in German sporting media.

The worst part? She was genuinely nice, so you had no proper reason to hate her besides being extremely jealous. She was kind and always complimented you during training and encouraged you during every match.

Your transfer to Barcelona couldn’t have happened at a more convenient time. Just as you were nearing your breaking point with her perfectness, your contract expired and you signed with the Spanish club. You had no intention of renewing with Wolfsburg, not while she was there. You wanted that fresh start, you wanted to thrive in a completely new place and finally learn the Spanish way of football first-hand.

The first season was amazing. You were breaking personal records and putting up performances for your new club, solidifying yourself as a starting player. You made friends and learned many things both on and off the pitch, and on top of that, you won your first couple trophies outside of Germany. You were at the peak of your happiness.

Of course it had to be ruined by a certain Swede arriving at the club only a season later. “(Y/N), it’s such a coincidence! I loved playing with you, so I could never turn down the contract they offered me,” she happily said to you on her first day. You smiled back at her despite wanting to bash your head against a wall, because you couldn’t find it in yourself to be mean.

She stuck with you during her first couple weeks at the club until she got familiar with everyone else; to you, those were the worst weeks of your life as you were forced to confront the reality that she was perfect as ever and you were sickeningly envious of her.

Over the course of the next season, it became harder to understand how she had almost no room for imperfection. Her only flaw was something stupid like not being able to bake which was something you couldn’t do either, so that didn’t make you feel any better.

Everyone in your team loved her. She was a good player, an excellent one even. She was soft spoken and respectful, and a team player who fit right in almost immediately.

She loved cafés and coffee, like Ingrid. She enjoyed kayaking and swimming, like Lucy and Ona. She loved dogs, like Alexia. She liked to travel, like Aitana.

She was everything you wished you could be, and it made you curse her name in the dark emptiness of your bedroom after hours. It made you watch her for a second longer during training, even while you’re on the other side of the pitch. It made you smile at her in the changing room and ask her how she is.

She didn’t even have to try to be adored, whereas it felt like you had been trying to catch anyone’s eye since the beginning of time. She breathed and the media was all over her.

As the season progressed, the envious feeling became a regular thing when you were around Fridolina, so you had gotten used to it. You felt bad for feeling such a way but your heart overpowered your brain and the feelings persisted.

You were having the best season of your career so far, between qualifying for a Champions League semifinal and becoming a league champion once again on top of winning the Copa de La Reina and Supercopa.

During the second leg of the semifinal against Chelsea, you were taken out inside the box, granting your team a penalty. You stepped up to take it with the chance to put you and your team ahead, but before you could even walk up to the spot, blonde hair swished past you and before you could process anything, the ball hit the back of the net and you saw Fridolina running away to celebrate it. You couldn’t even afford to be angry on the surface, because then everyone would know something was wrong and you’d have to come clean and hurt Fridolina and say something that would surely upset her so.. you celebrated with your team. Like anyone in your position would.

That was your breaking point though — her being under the spotlight once again, proving that she’s so magnificent and better than you and perfect.

Perfect, once again.

The worst part was, even as you sat in the changing rooms on your own, fighting back tears, you knew you couldn’t entirely loathe her out of any amount of jealousy. You couldn’t loathe her more than you loathed your own mind, which betrayed you by worshipping her like some sort of idol.

The rude awakening that you worshipped her settled in as you tried to ignore the fact she was the type of person you prayed to be like, to a god you barely believed in.

Fucking perfect angel Fridolina. Damn you.

#27 Que nadie duerma

Lucia (Malena Alteiro) está pasando la treintena y tiene una vida monótona y se siente estancada, su padre tiene demencia y su trabajo no la llena, por lo que cuando la policía está sellando su trabajo y se ve en la calle, con un retraso en la nómina de más de 6 meses, lo ve como la oportunidad perfecta de cambiar de vida.

Con la idea de cambiar de rumbo decide sacarse la licencia de taxista y comprar un taxi. Le gusta la gente y hablar con desconocidos, por lo que se siente en su salsa. Al mismo tiempo, un vecino no pude dejar de reproducir "Nessun Dorma" y ella se ve atraída hacia él, sobre todo, después de picar a su puerta. Por lo que se enamora perdidamente de él, Braulio Botas (Rodrigo Poisón) un reconocido actor de teatro, que desaparece del piso sin despedirse.

En uno de sus trayectos conoce a Roberta Santiago (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón) una productora de teatro con la que se llega a hacer amiga.

Lucia cambia tanto de vida que no se reconoce, manteniendo sexo ocasional con clientes, imaginándose a Braulio, respondiendo a clientes maleducados, después de años de silencio y de agachar la cabeza, cambiando su forma de vestir, apuntándose a clases de canto, robando a los clientes borrachos, dejándolos tirados en un parque.

Lucia perdió a su madre siendo una niña, por culpa de un pájaro negro que siente que la persigue hasta que enfoca su vida.

Su vida cotidiana y aburrida se ve mucho más interesante, y se pasa los días buscando llevar en su taxi a Braulio, vivir su historia de amor, mientras se va autodescubriendo.

Le gusta hablar con la gente, se siente interesante e interesada por las vidas de los desconocidos que lleva en sus trayectos. Pero, un día escucha por la radio que uno de los clientes a los que robó y abandonó en un parque muere de hipotermia, y resulta ser el dueño de la empresa que la despidió y que le dejó una deuda a pagar.

Cuando su padre muere, ella no se puede sentir más desconsolada, ha volcado su vida en el taxi, para poder mantenerse a flote tanto económica como mentalmente y ahora se encuentra en una casa vacía.

En busca de más cambios se hace un tatuaje con las palabras "Nessun Dorma" en un paso más allá de su desequilibrio emocional, suerte que cuenta con Roberta que la logra sacar del mundo del taxi, y de estar encerrada en su casa. Ahí es cuando logra confesarle que su madre en realidad se suicidó tirándose por la venta porque "no sabía vivir", eso representa el pájaro negro, y como desaparece cuando empieza su andadura en el taxi.

Un día va a buscar a Roberta a su trabajo sin avisar y la ve comiendo con su amado Braulio, cuando le había confesado que no lo conocía, a la vez también se entera de que su íntima amiga Fátima se lio con su jefe (al que mató accidentalmente) y entre los dos desfalcaron la empresa, por ello había dejado de responderle al teléfono y, ni siquiera, fue al entierro de su padre. Sintiéndose traicionada, se siente que empieza a descender a lo más profundo.

Ve el cartel de la nueva producción de Roberta Santiago, protagonizada por Braulio Botas y compra una entrada, para ver la representación de su vida llevada al teatro de forma cómica, en esa obra teatral se ríen de ella, de sus sentimientos, de su pasado, de la muerte de su madre, del pájaro negro que la ronda, de sus sentimientos por Braulio. Ahora entiende por qué Roberta tampoco respondía a sus llamadas.

Traicionada y llena de cólera, espera a Braulio en la puerta del teatro con su taxi, para poder llevarlo a su destino, hace que le parezca que todo es casual y le pide explicaciones por la función donde la humillan, haciendo como que no le importa. Lo invita a su casa, a pasar la noche con ella, y en medio del sexo, le pide explicaciones.

Este le cuenta que tanto Roberta como el guionista le convencieron para hacer una obra teatral sobre su vida y que le pagarían por contar su historia. Por ello decide citar a Roberta también en su casa, y asesinarla, como hizo la noche anterior con Braulio.

Sube a la terraza y el cuervo negro sigue acechándola, incluso, cuando se asoma al borde y decide saltar. Así logra verse a sí misma, destrozada. Se da cuenta de que ha imaginado ese final, donde puede consumar su amor por Braulio y vengarse de él y de Roberta.

Se sube al taxi y empieza su jornada laboral como si nada.

Favorite thing about them:

(Besides the part that I extremely relate to this character) I love how she’s such a great friend to Luna and is always there to help her. She’s very loyal and that’s a special trait to have. I also love how she doesn’t let people pressure her to do things. She does what she feels comfortable to do and would actually like to do. I also love her closeness to writing, I personally relate to that and understand her connection with it.

Least favorite thing about them:

I never noticed something I didn’t like about Nina. I do feel that she shouldn’t have gotten with Eric so soon in S3 especially since you can tell she didn’t feel ready inside to move on and be with another guy which is absolutely okay. She let herself become insecure more though with Eric since he didn’t like museums or any of the things she liked and so that would make her more nervous. I would’ve loved to have seen in S3 her growing a lot more to the point that she feels confident enough to embrace what she loves and be more outgoing (especially since you do notice her growth when she was able to stand up for the J&R team in front of Gary. That’s my girl 😌)

Favorite Line:

It’s one of Felicity’s lines: “Fracasar es no intentar” and “animate a encender tus propios suenos.”

brOTP:

Luna/Simon/Nina. I find it funny how I got all three of these characters for the character asks 😂. Either way instead of sounding repetitive I’ll say you can check out my full explanation in the Luna character ask. I just love how supportive they are of Luna and how Simon and Nina easily get along with each other due to their share of care and love for Luna. Such great friends.

OTP:

GASTINAAAAAAAA!!!! I absolutely love them with my whole heart too and they’re also one of my favorite ships of all time. Like c’mon you can tell they’re soulmates, meant to be. I LOVE how Gaston loved Nina for who she is and never tried to change her, in fact tried to help her be more confident in herself and have her see herself the way he sees her.

nOTP:

Niric. So forced and no needed at all. Nina could’ve either done long distance with Gaston or be the single independent woman she is, she doesn’t need to be with someone but Disney just couldn’t accept that fact huh 🤦‍♀️

Random Headcanon:

I love how the whole fandom has agreed on the fact that after the show ends, Nina and Gaston do reunite and get back together one way or another since they’re meant to be. He never stopped loving her and she never stopped loving him. I like to think that she never took off her blue bracelet that he gave her and he never took of his. It’s their connection (cough cough invisible string) with each other.
