Action Surge! 19 points of damage and he trips it ... and then he Crit Fails ... oh shit ... so he skims away and BRAINS HIMSELF on the wall ... ricochets back and comes right back with another attack and SLICES AWAY at him again ...

Now Wee Man is just spinning like a dizzy top ...

OF COURSE Dominox IMMEDIATELY attacks him right back ... oh fuck ... 46 points of slashing damage ON THE FIRST HIT?!!! Dear fucking GODS ... MInd Feast? Sweet fuck ... this one's aimed at Ashton ... and he fails to resist ... 14 points of Psychic damage ... and he's drawn right towards him and HEALED?!!! Son of a BITCH!!!

Ludinus FUCKING Da'Leth swoops into the room right behind Dominox and casts Gate ... O.O ... wait, he's genuinely trying to HELP right now? Is this for real?

Dorian's turn ... oh, Robbie can't BELIEVE it's now up to HIM ... so he psyches Dorian up and casts Otto's Irresistable Dance on Dominox at SIXTH FUCKING LEVEL?!!! And Braius uses Sorrowful Fate to CHANGE DOMINOX'S SAVE so it's a FOURTEEN, which is a FAIL!!! Holy shit ... it FORGETS to use Legendary Resistance, so the Grand Demon starts to BOOGIE ... Matt has SO MUCH FUN describing what happens ... and even starts BOPPING HIMSELF ... I am IN AWE of the moment ... LOL

Braius turns his focus to Ludinus and casts Moonbeam at him ... oh my gods and Sam DOESN'T EVEN KNOW what that does ... O.O ... Dominox saves, but Braius still inflicts five points of Radiant damage ... so he Bonus Actions Hammering Horns to PUSH Dominox ten feet back ... which he ALSO fails to save against ... holy FUCK Samuel, HOW OP'd is your new character? Now the demon is IN HELL just inside the portal ...

Laudna tries to work out if this is THE Ludinus or just SNOWdinus ... no idea ... okay, she tries something COMPLETELY untested on him now ... she conjures up the spirit of Vess Dorogna as Spirit of Death to attack him ... only for him to Counterspell ... so she just Counterspells RIGHT BACK?!!! Holy shit ... so she succeeds in her plan ... HOLY SHIT ... so now, FOREVER he is permanently HAUNTED by this vengeful ghost? HOLY SHIT, Dead Girl! You're so awesome!

Fearne casts Polymorph on Ludinus ... SWEET FUCKING FUCK!!! This is BEAUTIFUL ... 25 on his save? BALLS ... that was almost SO awesome ...

Chetney turns back and turns Invisible, then holds his turn ...

Essek casts Gravity Fissure on the remaining spires, shatters them so they pierce into the portal and IMPALE Dominox ... damage is halved bu that's STILL 20 piercing! Holy fuck ...

Ashton takes a passing swipe at the engine ... 22 points of damage ... oh shit ... it just slowed to s stop! He takes one more swing ... 23 points and it is SHATTERED!!! Nice ...

Imogen runs as close as she can to the gate, tries to grab holdo of Ludinus with Telekinesis ... and he FAILS to save, but instead uses his Legendary Resistance to wipe it off instead! Asshole ... so she Lightning Bolts him at 7th Level instead ... most of the damage is deflected, but she still deals 12 points ... it's something, at least ...

Tevan charges in to attack Dominox, misses his first hit but catches the second ... oh, and it's the KILL hit? The live audience goes NUTS ... Matt: "How do I wanna do this?" He carves the demon in two and it just ASHES ...

Orym runs up the wall and then uses Grasping Vine to swing himself up behind Ludinus ... Pushing attack! 18 damage and he fails his save so Ludinus is SHOVED towards the gate! Ludinus drops the gate so Orym just attacks him hard with his sword instead ... come on, Wee Man! Kill this bitch!

Ludinus flies into the tunnel just past Chetney, then turns back to face them all ...

Wow ... fanboy Braius actually GETS HIS AUTOGRAPH from Tevan ... nice ...

this album is literally . everything omg like i've literally been going crazy over this album and it's not even been a week yet and i apologise for the babbling but i need to get some things off my chest or i will actually lose it so !!!! gonna yap about every single track now !!!!!! (some coherent thoughts, and some not so coherent thoughts) :

AMERIICAN REQUIREM - (im obsessed with all of the stylisation ii in the album titles bc its act ii) this song is basically a thesis statement for the whooooole album the main lyrical part is : 'used to say i spoke "too country" / and the rejection came, said / "i wasn't country enough" / said i wouldn't saddle up, but / if that ain't country, tell me what is? ' and obviously it goes without saying that the vocals on this track are PERFECT and angelic because, this is beyoncé she could never underdeliver. ive heard so many people say that the layering reminds them of bohemian rhapsody and I AGREEEE

after ameriican requirem, this section of the next fourish tracks reminded me of self titled (2014) in the sense that it explores the different aspects of beyoncé as a person (being a black woman, career, motherhood, self love etc) LOOKA DER LOOKA DER LALALALALALALALALALALAAAAAAAAA. THIS INTRO IS EVERYTHING TO ME ITS SO CINEMATIC AND BIG AND ★BEYONCÉ★

BLACKBIIRD - second song on here is a cover of blackbird by the beatles, featuring tanner adell, brittney spencer, tiera kennedy, and reyna roberts (all up and coming black country artists!!!!). i didn't know this until like, the day the album dropped and i was looking into it but blackbird was written by paul mccartney about black women in the 60s experiencing struggles with the american civil rights movement. and in england 'bird' is kinda slang for girl, so 'black bird' = 'black girl'. and that song was intended to bring hope, such a perfect track for this album , specially with the features beyoncé included 🤞🏽

16 CARRIAGES - my favourite out of the 2 pre release singles. its about her entering the music industry at 15 and the struggles due to that and growing up so fast, whenever this comes on i will NEVER EVER SKIP ITS TOOOOO GOOOD

PROTECTOR - i love how this is featuring rumi🥹 whenever beyonce talks about motherhood, or writes a song for her kids (like here, blue, bigger, brown skin girl etc) it always gets me tearing up on first listen. first of all i LOVEEEE a voice memo intro, and this whole lullaby is just <333333

MY ROSE - ive seen a lot of people saying that they dont like how this album is so long, but me personally, i love that there are so many tracks, even short ones like this that add depth or a vibe. also i love any song that says lalalalalalalalaaaa so that got me

SMOKE HOUR ★ WILLIE NELSON - IM OBSESSED W THIS INTERLUUUDEEEEEE the feel of changing the channel on a radio is so cool and adds a really fun atmosphere and really works well for themes here

TEXAS HOLD ‘EM - everyone hates this song BUT I DONTTTTT its a real life boogie and a real life hoe down frfr

BODYGUARD - this ones so fun and lighthearted, aside from the parts where shes like ‘i dont like the way shes looking at you 😒😒😒 someone better hold me back’ and that line leads so well into the next tracks:

DOLLY P / JOLENE - HAAHAHAHAHAHA THE DOLLY P INTERLUDE TOOK ME OUTTT WITH THE BECKY WITH THE GOOD HAIR REFERENCE😭 and the lyric changes on jolene with her warning becky instead of begging,, iktr !!!!!!! and ‘you a bird go on and sing your song jolene’ 😩 i really like that beyonce brought in dolly because shes like. THE country star. and its kinda wild that people are still dissing beyoncé for releasing country music and saying she doesn’t belong when the literal dolly parton is advocating for her

DAUGHTER - one of my faves on here, it feels so cinematic and i will always appreciate an i killed my husband country song. the whole vibe of this song is really sinister im obsessed and the visuals are already there in my mind like,, ‘your body laid out on these filthy floors / your bloodstains on my custom coutures’, ‘so let's travel to white chapels and sing hymns /

hold rosaries, and sing in stained glass symphonies’ , ‘i sashayed my dress / did my best impression of a damsel in distress’ , etc etc etc. i would literally quote this entire song if i could i think its lyrically the best one. my favourite part is the refrain about her father and choir boys and the titanic its so real. SPAGHETTI - as soon as i saw this title i knew this song was gonna be fun like first of all, the intro talking about genres being restricting, and then the song going straight into that instrumental???????? AND SHES RAPPING ?????????????? THANOS ????????? CUNTY COUNTRY PETTY !!!!!!!!!! YALL BEEN PLAYED BY THE PLAGARISTIC WHEWWWW NO SAUCE NO SAUCE

ALLIGATOR TEARS - the jump from spaghetti to this was so violent 😩 i had to calm myself down so fast on first listen LMAOOOO. ok so from what i can tell i think this song is saying that she’ll do anything for x (idk who this is to, maybe jay z?) and x doesn’t need any fake tears to get her to do things for them bc she’ll do anything for them regardless. ‘you say change religion 🕺🏽

SMOKE HOUR II / JUST FOR FUN- oh my god i so badly want KNTRY radio to be real😭 just for fun feels so nostalgic to me for some reason, and so does ii most wanted tbh but i’ll get to that. i think that willie jones’ voice works SO well with beyoncés, they both sing so softly on here and its like the type of ballad you’d sing around a campfire all happy and sleepy

II MOST WANTED - as someone who never watched hannah montana as a kid, i still really appreciate this song, i know a few songs from that song even though i never watched it so miley’s voice reminds me of my childhood soo much and this song omg🥹🥹🥹🥹 the harmonies and the lyrics and the friendship <333333 the electric guitar specifically stands out to me it reminds me of something but i can’t quite put my finger on it?

overall, i think that this is simply the greatest thing to ever grace my ears. i dont think ive ever seen an album with so much thought, care and research put into it, and beyoncé is truly an albums artist and i really really really admire the work she puts into this. since i was really young i really loved her and watching her music videos (watching the self titled music videos at 8 years old is such a core memory for me LOLLL) so every album release is so special to me, and i feel so well fed w this album and i am so intrigued about what’s coming for act iii!!!!!! sorry again for all this talking, this was the cut down version of my thoughts ☠️

Scrooge tossed aside a financial ledger with a deep, prolonged yawn. It hit his desk with a thump accompanied by a faint, subtle click. Scrooge didn’t hear it through the loud yawn that filled his ears.

Normally, Scrooge was alert and on the ball at work. A force to be reckoned with. Today, he was but a shade of his normal ferocity. His mind was clouded and unfocused, knocked loose by lack of sleep. The night before, a colicky Donald had kept him up. He had paced the long hallways of his home while he rubbed Donald’s back, singing soothing songs to lull them both back to sleep. It hadn’t worked. Neither of them got a wink of sleep. Without a care in the world, Donald was peacefully snoozing away in the carrier seat, placed on the center of Scrooge’s desk. His exhausted guardian wasn’t as lucky as the duckling. Instead of catching up on his rest, Scrooge had work to attend. What’s more, Duckworth was away on holiday and Scrooge was tasked with watching the darling duckling while he worked. And watch he did.

It wasn’t the exhaustion that distracted Scrooge from his work, but the little cutie on his desk. He couldn’t tear his eyes away, even though his lids were heavy with sleep. Donald need not do anything to command his attention either. Scrooge simply watched Donald sleep. He was enraptured by the gentle rise and fall of Donald’s chest. The occasional fidgeting that broke up a restful sleep. The little smiles that graced Donald’s beak. The way Donald clutched at his baby blanket. How his thumb found its way to his mouth without fail.

Scrooge placed a hand on Donald’s stomach, feeling the soft belly move with each breath. He was Scrooge’s joyous little yellow fluffball. He could look at him forever.

He might have, until Donald sneezed and farted. His tiny eyes shot open in surprise. He had startled himself awake.

“Bless you!” Scrooge said.

Donald stared up at him in wide-eyed surprise, as if he wasn’t sure who had made all that noise.

“That was you, cutie.” Scrooge booped Donald on his beak. Donald’s perplexed expression didn’t fade as Scrooge fished a handkerchief from his coat pocket. “Let me wipe away those boogies for you.”

With Donald all cleaned up, Scrooge resumed admiring his young ward. How one person could be so utterly captivating was beyond him.

Donald’s surprise at his sudden awakening had dwindled. He blinked blearily up at his uncle, letting his thumb slip from his beak to let a small yawn slip out with a high-pitched squeak. Scrooge couldn’t stifle an aw in response. His affectionate little sigh morphed into another yawn mid-way through the vocalization.

Scrooge lay his head gingerly on his nephew’s stomach. Heavenly. The combination of baby fat and down feathers made for a sublime pillow. He wondered idly if the boys in the lab could whip up a mock prototype that felt like this. They’d sell like hotcakes. He could see the billboards. McDuck Brand Pillows: Sleep Like a Baby Again.

He thought about pitching the product idea to his head scientist, Fulton Gearloose. Fulton was uniquely suited to the project. He had a wee one of his own. Gyro, he believed the babe’s name was. About a year or two older than Donald.

I should set up a playdate. A partnership between Donald and Fulton’s son could come in handy in the future when Donald takes over the company. It’s never too early to start networking after all. Scrooge’s eyelid drifted shut as he daydreamed about business opportunities both real and imagined. His mind teetered over the edge of sleep, ready to fall into that abyss, when a loud angry quack startled him away from that precipice.

He lifted his weary head and rubbed at his tired eyes. “Sorry, boyo. Didn’t mean to use you as a pillow,” Scrooge yawned. “It’s just that you’re so soft. And I’m so, so tired.”

His eyes blurred from lack of sleep. When they refocused, Donald’s tiny face was screwed up in an angry pout.

Scrooge poked Donald’s puffed-up cheek. “You are just adorable, you know that?”

“Nah!” Donald cried with a noticeable degree of irritation.

“Its true! Look at you! You don’t even know how wee you are. I could just gobble you up!” Scrooge grabbed Donald’s clothed feet and mimed nibbling on his toes. “Narm narm narm! I’m hungry for baby!”

Donald pout changed to smile with a giggle.

“Look at your toesie-woesies.” Under normal circumstances, Scrooge wouldn’t be caught dead using such schoompy baby talk in the office. But the combination of exhaustion and sheer adoration had made him careless and loopy. He wiggled one of Donald’s webbed toes with a lopsided smile on his face. “This little piggie went to the market—”

His beeper went off, cutting his recitation of the nursery rhyme short. Without bothering to check the message, Scrooge shut it off and dropped the offending piece of tech into a drawer. He shut it with a smug sense of satisfaction. Take that. Whatever was going on couldn’t be that pressing.

Scrooge struggled to recall what he’d been doing prior to the beeper’s rude interruption. Just as he seized upon his abandoned thread of thought, the loud ringing of his telephone severed it once again. Scrooge picked up the phone and slammed it back down on the receiver without hesitation.

How annoying. He abandoned whatever he’d been doing before. He switched over to tickling Donald’s foot with one finger. “Can you say unca?”

For the past week, he’d been prompting Donald to call him unca; all to no avail. All Donald could manage was the same old meaningless baby babble.

“Come on, lovebug.” Scrooge cradled Donald’s little foot in the palm of his hand. “Unca. Say un-ca.”

Donald gazed back at him. Scrooge’s anticipation grew as Donald opened his beak to say: “Ma-ma.”

“What?” Scrooge was taken aback. That was, without a doubt, the first word Donald had managed to squeak out so far, but it wasn’t what he’d expected. “No, no. Not mama. Un-ca.”

Scrooge slowed down and stretched the syllables, pointing at the movements his beak made.

“Ma-ma!” Donald yelled back.

Scrooge frowned and pointed at himself. “Me un-ca. Not ma-ma.”

Donald laughed. He liked the reaction this strange sound triggered in his uncle. “Ma-ma!”

Scrooge hung his head in defeat. He was talking like a caveduck. Oh, if people could hear him now.

He dropped Donald’s foot from his loose grasp. Scrooge stretched his arms out widely, the movement knocking the financial ledger he tossed earlier and sending it hurtling to the ground.

“Whoops.” As he bent to retrieve it, he heard his intercom crackle to life.

“Um sir?” His receptionist’s voice was backed by a chorus of awkward tittering and hysterical laughter. Scrooge straightened slowly, feeling dread wash down his spine.

He said… he said… He heard one of his employee’s gasp for breath in the background. He said toesies woesies!

Scrooge felt his heart drop into his stomach. Oh no.

Another man guffawed heartily. Boogies! He yelled. Mama Scrooge!

Scrooge looked at the ledger in his hand. When he’d thrown it down earlier, it must have hit the transmit button on his intercom. The entire staff of his main office located at his central headquarters had heard every last word of his sleep-deprived, mushy ramblings.

Hysterical laughter crackled over the line as his receptionist hemmed and hawed about trying to reach him earlier about the situation.

Scrooge violently yanked the power cord to his intercom, cutting off the echoes of his employees yelling Mama Scrooge at each other. Wide-eyed and mortified, he plunked his head back down on Donald’s stomach. This time he ignored Donald’s angry little quacks. He needed the comfort of his baby’s soft warm belly. He had a feeling this wouldn’t be the last time he heard the nickname Mama Scrooge around the office. Not by a longshot.
