The End
Thank you all for joining me this year as I shared and explored some of my favourite songs within the electronic dance scene. I was curious to see if I could run a daily project for a year and I succeeded, and I do hope that you found something new to enjoy along the way. Thanks for sticking around, from electronicadaily, and have a happy new year!

808 State - Don Solaris [1996] (Full Album)
And with that, an entire year comes to a close. So to cap it off, here’s my favourite album of all-time and the cover picture for this project of mine. I cannot express how much I love this album, from all it’s jazzy, junglist, downtempo and big beat influences and pulled off in a quirky fun style that only the wonderful guys at 808 State could pull off. Many people ignore this release as just one of their later works, but it really is more than that and is truly special. I really hope you enjoy it, and have a happy new year!

Chicane - Saltwater [1999]
The last single-track post of the year. This song has meant a lot to me this year, and there’s a reason why it’s considered one of the greatest trance songs of all time. Just one of the many reasons why I greatly love Chicane and his work. I do hope you enjoy!

Ken Ishii - Fadeless [2002]
One of the many incredible tracks from Ken Ishii’s fantastic 2002 album Future In Light, which I’ve already covered extensively here before. But I had to share this track as it might be my favourite track from the album. I absolutely love the cool and icy atmosphere coming from it and the way it’s placed after the ultra-hard Future Is What We Are makes it a great comedown track. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Aqualite - Ride The Rhythm [1995]
A stellar acid track from Aqualite that was often featured on MTV’s Amp program. It first appeared on their 1995 EP, Rhythm Control and then later on their 1996 album, Aquaplant. It was re-released again last year on their retrospective compilation. Enjoy!

R-Tyme - R-Theme [1989]
Another classic track from 1989, brought to you by the legendary Derrick May and his associate, Darryl Wynn under their R-Tyme name. It’s a seriously groovy piece that appears on Derrick’s 1996 album Innovator. Enjoy!

Orbital - Chime [1989]
Merry Christmas everyone! Here’s a stone-cold classic from Orbital that I think fits today very well. Hope you all enjoy your holidays wherever you are, and make sure to blast your favourite tunes loud!

Funk d’Void - Way Up High [2004]
An amazing vocal tech house track from Funk d’Void with a properly ethereal atmosphere. Not much else I have to say about this one, other than that I hope you enjoy!

Lo-Fidelity Allstars feat. Pigeonhed - Battleflag [1998]
A great big beat track from the late 90s that was used in countless forms of media during that time. Appears on the Lo-Fidelity Allstars 1998 album, How To Operate With A Blown Mind. Enjoy!

Code - Cities Part 4: Workers [1994]
A fantastic acidic-style cut from the techno band known as Code. It appears on both their incredible 1994 EP Cities, and their 1995 debut album called The Architect. I would highly recommend both! Hope you enjoy!

Hypnotone - QIX [1991]
A great ambient breaks piece from the oft forgotten Hypnotone project that you can tell was produced by The Orb’s own Andy Falconer, as his style permeates throughout this track. Appears on Hypnotone’s 1991 album Ai which is hard to come by these days, but I would highly recommend it if you can find a copy. Enjoy!

Moby - Bodyrock [1999]
An incredibly infectious Moby’s classic album Play, where he tried to capture the sound of the big beat phenomenon happening at the time. My favourite part of the song is probably the way the strings kick in for the chorus. I love it, and I hope you do too!

Paradise 3001 - Spiral Trippin [1993]
A great piece of early trance from Dutch artist Aad De Mooy, who has many many other aliases. This track is the title track from his 1993 album Spiral Trippin, which I highly recommend for anyone who’s into their early psychedelic electronica.

The Crystal Method - Born Too Slow (Deepsky’s Green Absinthe Dub Mix) [2003]
Another fantastic remix coming at you today, this time from Deepsky, who have taken the already excellent ‘Born Too Slow’ from The Crystal Method and turned it into their own signature progressive breaks style. If you’ve played the video game Gran Turismo 4, then you may have heard it as well. Enjoy!

Basement Jaxx - Good Luck (Roni Size Vocal Mix) [2003]
A fantastic remix from Roni Size of the Basement Jaxx’s already big hit, Good Luck with the wonderful vocal talents of Lisa Kekaula. I honestly think Roni and the Basement Jaxx should’ve collabed more, because they have very similar styles of energy, and hints of funk and soul in their works.

Fluke - Absurd [1997]
The track that works as the incredible opener to Fluke’s classic album, Risotto. It showed the world the dark and grittier side of the band’s style and the direction they’d take for the rest of their career afterwards. Really amazing stuff.
