#aigis is the new android

a memory has been awakened in me. there is a new android in the team

Something set a few days after the end of persona 3. I know that the answer probably contradicts it but I haven’t played it so I don’t know what happens. I just realised how much Junpei would be able to relate to Aigis and had to write stuff down.

As Junpei left his room, he saw, out of the corner of his eye, a door, slightly ajar. His door. Wasn’t it locked now?

As he entered the now empty room, he saw Aigis squatting next to the stripped bed. Staring directly where one’s head would lie.

“C’mon, Aigis.” He sighed. “Yukari told you you’ve got to charge overnight.”

The robot didn’t even flinch.

Sighing again, he walked into the room and plopped himself onto the far side of the bed.

“Y’know, one time he forgot to plug his headphones in, and blasted his music so loud I could hear it from across the hall. Thinking back - he didn’t have bad taste, heh..”

Silence.

“Hey, look. I know you were… closer to him than the rest of us. And, you’re probably telling yourself that no one could understand, but… we all miss him, so - don’t think you’re alone.”

He looked back at Aigis and noticed the headphones crudely placed over Aigis’… ears? Was she wearing two sets of headphones now? What were those things anyway? Whatever he called them, she probably wouldn’t hear.

“I know how you feel, though. Chidori gave her life so that I could live on. How messed up’s that? I would’ve done the same for her, so why’d she get the last laugh? Then, after a while, I realised something. She wasn’t gone, she was still living in me, through my memories and experiences. In a way, she found a way to cheat death. Lucky, huh? Heh…”

He got up and started to head for the door.

“Although you can’t see him, Makoto is still with you. He lives on, in you. He sacrificed himself to keep your smile alive… and I hope we get to see it again one day.”

“Junpei-san!”

He whipped his head round to see her standing up next to the bed, staring directly at him. Her hair rustled against her face from the wind from the open window. The headphones had fallen around her neck, mp3 player dangling against her chest. For a second he thought he caught a glimpse of-

“Thank you,” The girl smiled a weak smile. He knew that smile, the effort it took to raise the corners of your mouth just enough to tell others that you’ll be okay. But it was enough. “I hope that I can see you smile again too.”

He smiled a weak smile.

“Seriously though, if Yukari finds you here she’ll lose it. Don’t tell her I left you here.”

As he escaped, Aigis made her way to the open window. Leaning against the windowsill, she looked up at the moon, visible despite the morning sun.

“Still with me, huh…”

Rejecting affection because of their body

I just realice i have a things for robot/androids, idk i guess androids with feelings is like my type, specially the plot!!

Aigis

Aigis has been having troubles with not only her feelings but also her humanity, she was made to fight the shadows and for the longest time she considerate herself only useful for that purpose so the moment she was given the oportunity to live like any other human and being treated as such by the members of SEES she had a hard time to adapt

It took her a while and even some help from you and her friends but she understand that she have fallen in love and start a relationship with you definetly was something completely new, Aigis didn't quite knew what to do but she was willing to help because of this new feelings inside of her

Getting to be physicaly affectionate depends on you, depending on how well you handle it and how much you like it since Aigis is just learning and has pretty much not shame, she knows physical affection is important and way to show care and love but thats also the reason why she was a bit eager to try it, and she had complex feelings for it, liking it but at the same time feeling a little troubled, being so close to you, being directly touching you remind her how diferent your body was from hers, making her curious but also nervous, still it wasn't until your pointed out the diference between you two that Aigis became self-councious

She imediatly let go of you to ask if that was something bad with a sad expression, but even if you try to reasure her that is fine Aigis simply couldn't shake the thought out of her mind, she knew that she was diferent, it is really obvious after all, but does that mean she can't be treaten as a human? can she be considerate a human? and how can she love like other humans when she is far from being a human?

While trying to understand what it is to be human Aigis grew anxious over the diference between you two, avoiding any kind of contact because she's now worried that she may not be the best for you, or at least not the best to give this kind of affectionate, worried that it may be uncomfortable or even that you may end up injured by accident

Aigis need reasurance and patience, its not that this have made her suddently feel really bad is just that it had made her more confused with trying to understand the humans, but with some guidence and care Aigis will slowly accept the fact that, even if you two are diferente that doesn't make her less deserving of love and care nor make you love her less (she will end up being really flustered but will also make her incredibly happy, something that she doesn't quite understand but she just decide to accept it)

Boothill

Boothill doesn't really feels complexed because of his robotic body, he already is used to it and to live with it and since it helps him with with his duty and his seek for his revenge he doesn't complain about it, however for him this body also represents everything that he have lost so it pains him to some extent

Even when you two are already in a relationship he didn't thought much on his body for a long time, after all you two went at your own rythm and way, it wasn't until you two actually started your relationship when he started to be quite self-councious of his body, after all not only he couldn't exactly feel you there is also a contrast with the coldness of his body and the warm of yours

Once he become aware of the diference is something that got stuck on his mind for quite a while, unable to get the thought our of his mind and also becoming incredibly self-councious, almost scared of letting you touch him since he knows there will only be disapointment (he just belives you won't think good of how cold and hard his body is, even if you say that you don't mind it simply stuck in his mind)

For a while Boothill is able to avoid having to explain himself well, finding other ways to express how much he loves you without having to touch you or avoiding letting you touch him and saying a playful excuse, changing the topic with a playful smile so you stop and you won't ask

Boothill keeps it that way for the longest time, avoiding as much as posible to explain how much it actually affects him, how much it reminds him that he is no longer human and how it terrifies him that you may not feel like is enough, that you may prefer to find love in someone who can hug you without a rigid metalic body, who can share the warth in a hug (still, he won't blame you), honestly he is quite blinded by his own sorrow for everything that he have lost that he just can't think out of the idea that his body may be disapointming and uncomfortable for you, fearing that one day you will confirm it

Boothill doesn't want to admit it but if he has to he will do it, he will speak his heart out and despite feeling embarrassed you can see the true anxiety on him because of this, he loves you, he loves that he has you in his life, he loves that there is someone waiting for him and he is scared of losing it, he needs reasurance, he needs to heard from you that you won't leave

Boothill may accept it pretty quick and even joke about it a little but deep down the fear won't cease so easily, it will take him time and even when he is accepting physical affection again he still tense up before relaxing under your touch from time to time, he still stares at you a little as if trying to make sure you are still here, he still quietly hopes that you won't leave his side

2B

As a special YoRHa unit 2B has dedicate herself to the battle and her duty, no matter how curious she can be of the world or the undenying feelings that she has 2B still tries to remind as profesional as posible, even when she have end up in a relasionship with the human she has found during her work and swear to protect

2B struggle quite a lot with feelings and relating to others (specially you) because of the little she knows about life, she finds herself feeling insecure and anxious when it comes to you because she doesn't know what to do or even how to express her feelings, not matter how much you reasure her that is fine she still is too nervous

At the end 2B end up putting some physical distance to you and rarely accepts any physical affection because from one side you are a human, is her duty as a YoRHa unit and your girlfriend to protect you, you hold more importance than you can imagine for this world and for her, and, in the other side, she is an android, her body is build to be in the battlefield, in comparation of your soft and warm body hers is harsh and cold, she can feel the warmth of your body whenever you are close and, as much as she like it (since it means you are alive and you are here), she feels complexed that she can't provide you with that same warmth

2B has a hard time letting her guard down enough and open up to you because she is too nervous that it may end up putting an awkward distance between you two, even if you are already together that just makes 2B even more nervous because she can't deny her feelings now but she is still scared that she may end up hurting you one way or another, but with enough patient or insistance she will slowly grow used to it

Even when 2B start to feel more comfortable to just let herself enjoy and feel she still will keep some respetable distance to respect your personal space and whenever you two are out of the resistance camp because she need to be ready to fight and protect you from anything and everything, again, it is needed to have patience with 2B, even so it would reach a point where she slowly give up to you and her own desires, letting you get closer whenever she makes sure you two are alone and in a safe place and even trying to be her who gets close to you if you don't do it

Honeslty, 2B would be so troubled by all this situation that she will not even notice when she grow to start craving you presence and affection, is something she never had before, is not normal between the YoRHa units and with you she found how much she enjoys having someone who love her and someone to love, it makes her more happy than how she likes to admit

Genos

Genos has dedícate his life for quite a while just to get his revenge, he has now a new body made to fight and has being only thinking on trying to find the culprit of losing his home so it may be that you two end up together until he started being Saitama's disciple (and he supported your relasionship to be able to get more free time away from him)

Genos is kinda learning in the process about how to be a good boyfriend for you, he tends to think too much and is quite naive so he really takes his time to get used to be in a relasionship and has to actually take some time to think on the right way to show his love and care

Since the start Genos was a bit hesitant about physical affection, his body is made for combat and he is constantly needing repairs and upgrates (specially after becoming part of the heroes agency), he knows really well his body and how any kind of weapon or dangerous addition he have is only activated when he needs it, even so he wants to take as less risk as posible, after all hurting you even by accident would be something that will hurt him deply

He will end up avoiding physical contact if posible or even take a moment of hesitation before holding you since he needs to make sure he won't end up hurting you, and if you or someone else (probably Saitama) end up pointing out how diferent your bodies are or how rought and cold is his body because of being an android that is going to also make him feel incredibly nervous , its like he have ignored that fact for a while but now that he is aware of it it just makes have you feel self-councious (and sometimes reminds him how he used to be fully human once, wich only make him feel worst)

Genos will not admit out loud that the reason why he avoids physical affection is because how nervous and self-councious he feels about being an an android and how it makes him doubt his qualities as a boyfriend but if you put enough attention it becomes kinda obvious that it is because of that, he seems visibly down when he has to decline your affection because, deep down, he does want that hug, he wants to hold your hand or just caress you gently but he doesn't think it is a good idea

It will take some time and patience to make him feel comfortable enough for him to be openly affectionate, although it is actually quick to covince him that is fine, that he won't hurt you by something like holding hands, what will take him time is to stop hesitating so much before accepting the affection and even more to initiate it, but with enough patience and reasure he will actually become incredibly clingy and affectionate (he is not exactly the touchy type but if you are he won't mind much after getting comfortable, and once he is confident enough he will be quick to grap his arms around you to protect you even if he is just feeling jealous for any reason)

"I wish to offer you my sincerest apologies for referring to you by an outdated designation. Is there a name you wish to be called following this conversation?"

"Ugh. I had a feeling you wouldn't have listened to me back then. I'll have to imprint it really hard into your 'data bank' then."

A2 pushed her charred, stilted feet off of the wooden bench, allowing it a brief amount of time to rise toward the air before a resounding thump against a pair of massive, white loafs blared out from its underside. Multiple ripples flared between the two backsides, Aigis's wobbling frequently to its left while A2's instantly undulated before its ripples decreased as it further pressed onto the former's, their plentiful fat compressing themselves into round holes and whisking specks of dirt and crumbs off of the latter's.

A2's buttocks suddenly rang out a dull screech against Aigis's as she launched an arm forward to seize the other's hand as it attempted to delve a spoon into a bowl of steaming soup, digging her fingertips into it until it released the utensil plopped into the liquid and splashed droplets out of it. Aigis's body sparked upward, hopping her rotund, pale mounds off of the bench for a moment before they curved the bench down further with a loud creak and a few splinters launching onto the ground. Aigis pulled her arm toward her before a sudden jerk pushed it toward A2, their buttocks squeaking and groaning as their blubber scraped and overlapped against each other, sending additional waves across them and eventually wobbling their stomachs as well, stirring the molten, chewed sludge within them and banging them against their walls.

"A2. It's A2. A. 2. I would rather be called something else but as long as I don't have to hear my name being assigned with 'numbers' and 'types', I'm alright with any degrading nicknames you want to come up with."

"A… 2. A2. Ah! Please forgive my inadequate memory! It appears I've failed to register the name you insisted to be referred by since our last interaction. I sincerely apologize for this drastic error, A2. I have now successfully registered your new designation to my memory."

"… You don't talk like a grandma. You sound just like a pawn."

"A pawn? You claim an officer of a high authority governs my behavior to ensure I'll comply with every order they issue to me? I've an objection to that claim. My behavior is solely governed by my principles and what I deem to be the most optimal way to communicate my opinions in a method that's cordial and indicates my willingness to--"

A2 flung Aigis's hand away from her, swinging her torso alongside it and tilting her bowl onto its side before gravity pulled its other side down onto the table, swerving its soup off of its rim before the blonde android situated a hand onto it to allow it to merely splash off of it. A2 shuffled herself to her right, scraping her plump buttocks across its ridges and jabbing a few splinters into the curved metal before it was halted when her fingers snapped onto the edge of the table, the ensuing undulations pelting the wooden flakes off of it. She clasped onto her pork loin and plunged her teeth into it, her fingertips clutching its juices onto themselves as her mouth tore chunks of it with jerks of her head. Her lips slathered with saliva and the meat's liquids, they chomped on the portions they enveloped and her tongue pelted them into her growling throat before they could become indistinguishable sludge, where it was immediately pumped down before her mouth lunged toward the loin again.

Aigis stared at A2 with her blue eyes, her hand hovering above her bowl and collecting its steam onto her splayed palm before a fist was positioned underneath it and enwrapped by the other.

"I… Wish to offer you my apologies again. Is the tone I utilize to communicate with you irrita… Sorry. I know it is."

In the midst of A2 tearing a portion of the loin with her hands and pulling it into her maw, her cheeks slid forward to obscure it with a rise of her stained chin. Her hands held the roasted pork in place as her head turned to Aigis to greet it with a grey glare while her mouth now sporting a short frown.

"I only use that tone when I talk to people because it's what I'm used to. I also believe it makes me sound more reliable and formal. As a member of a task force whose title I don't wish to disclose, I believe those are very valuable traits to have. However, there have been times where I was required to discard the tone I use because it irritated others, such as now. I'll make sure to talk more informally with you starting from now. It doesn't particularly bother me to speak this way but I really am sorry for constantly bothering you whenever we meet."

"… I guess it's my fault for making you think the way you speak is the issue. I was only annoyed by you calling me a name that I really don't think should ever be mentioned ever again. You sounding just like one of YoRHa's androids only made it worse."

"Oh. Well, I don't exactly know what YoRHa is but I apolo--"

"Good. Regardless, sorry for getting annoyed at you about this. If you do this again, I'm not saying that to you."

A2 faced away from Aigis and dug her fingers into her mouth, shoving the torn portion into her mouth before the entirety of it entered it with a crunch that splattered its juices and breadcrumbs against her cheeks and chest. Aigis looked on for a few seconds before she turned to her hands and parted them from each other straightening her fingers to reveal two palms, one covered with a layer of multiple, minuscule droplets and the other splashed with an orange blotch containing remnants of drenched, chopped vegetables.

Aigis promptly snagged a nearby napkin and wiped it against her hands, crumpling it into a soggy ball and placing it near her bowl before she plucked the spoon from her bowl and submerged its head into the bowl to lift a small pool of it into the air before her lips clamped over it. Her tongue lapped the soup onto itself, whisking it against her cheeks and allowing it to settle on top of it for a while before a tilt of her head pulled it into a contracting, steel passage.

Koromaru (voiced by Shinya Takahashi in Japanese)

A dog who awakens to the power of Persona after a tragic event. Since his original owner—the priest of the dorm’s neighboring Naganaki Shrine—had passed away, the protagonist and friends take him in as a full-fledged member of S.E.E.S.

Clever, loyal, and friendly, he quickly becomes a beloved member of the group. He seems especially close to Aigis—who translates his barks—and Ken Amada, the elementary school student.

In battle, he wields a knife in his mouth. His unique Persona is Cerberus, specializing in dark skills.

Aigis (voiced by Dawn M. Bennett in English, Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese)

A man-made Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, 7th Generation. She joins S.E.E.S. as an android with a humanlike heart, granting her the power of Persona.

She harbors a mysterious attachment to the Protagonist from the first day they meet. Initially coming across as cold and robotic, she begins to discover more human emotions through her experiences with the group.

In battle, she fires off an arsenal of weapons built into her mechanical body. Her unique Persona is Palladion, specializing in physical and support skills.

Ken Amada (voiced by Justine Lee in English, Megumi Ogata in Japanese)

The youngest member of S.E.E.S.—a 5th grader at Gekkoukan Elementary. After losing his mother in an accident, he comes to live at the Iwatodai Dorm.

After awakening to his Persona abilities, he joins S.E.E.S. of his own accord. While he strives to act mature with his mannerisms, deep down he is still a child with a passion for superhero TV shows.

In battle, he holds a long spear in contrast to his short stature. His unique Persona is Nemesis, specializing in light skills.

Shinjiro Aragaki (voiced by Justice Slocum in English, Kazuya Nakai in Japanese)

A third-year at Gekkoukan High, though he can rarely be seen at school. He was a founding member of SEES alongside Mitsuru and Akihiko. After distancing himself for about two years, a certain turn of events convinces him to rejoin the group.

While unapproachable at first glance, beneath the gruff exterior is a gentle heart and a knack for cooking. He even has a soft spot for animals, doting on Koromaru when no one is looking.

In battle, he bludgeons with weapons like axes. His unique Persona is Castor, specializing in hard-hitting physical attacks.

■ Key Art and Protagonist’s Battle Uniform Revealed

In Persona 3 Reload, all members of the Special Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.) now don new battle uniforms when taking on Tartarus.

The newly revealed key art depicts the protagonist in his new outfit alongside his Persona, Thanatos. The iconic S.E.E.S armbands have also been redesigned to match the updated battle uniform.

Aigis x M!Reader: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheeps?

Midnight, free to rest and sleep for all S.E.E.S. The silence of the residence kept awake to the naturally curious Aigis. Usually she would be in her room analyzing all the data from her day in the academy but there was something that restrained her from her task, a little sound across the wall from her metallic quarter.

Aigis walked across the aisle with her usual inexpressive face. The darkness that surrounded her didn't seem to bother her, she simply activated her night vision and continued her little investigation. A voice was all Aigis heard, a little voice that kept muttering to itself. Aigis could module her voice volume easily from her inner speaker; it was functional whenever Makoto or YN needed the so-called “Verbal motivation” that only humans seemed to need to hear.

Quickly she noticed whose members belonged to. They were from YN, an active member of S.E.E.S and so call “friend”. Aigis looked with curiosity at the wooden door in front of her. She wanted to enter to see if her companion was in a good condition. In her understanding, the humans seemed to need a night cycle to generate the lost cells from the day cycle. Isn't YN able to conclude his sleeping schedule correctly? Aigis placed her cold metallic hand to latch. She doubted for a moment, she knew that it wasn't right to enter someone's room without their permission, even less if it was one of her friends. Instead, she knock three times.

No response, just the same mumbling from YN. Aigis needed to enter to confirm his well-being, it was part of her programming after all to assist any member of S.E.E.S if any risky situation happened, but, this was a risky situation?, fighting and climbing tartarus surely was one, but this? Aigis didn't seem to understand humans more than the biological side of them, they were like robots, built like the same Aigis but with other material, a weaker one.

Aigis was about to place her hand on the latch once more when the door opened suddenly, her artificial face was exposed to a large light source, something so warm hitting something so cold. Aigis looked surprised at an exhausted YN who noticed her with his eyes full of fatigue and bags under his eyes.

“Aigis?What are you doing here? It's like 3 A.M.”

“My apologies YN, i was about to do my usual analysis in my room when a slight sound interrupted me, i suppose it was you.” Aigis blinked without making another expression on her face, taking the boy by surprise.

“Oh, I'm sorry , Aigis. I think i know what you mean, it's just i was having nightmares…More than usual actually. I will try to not bother you with that.”

Aigis planted her view directly to him. YN could only see the blue iris of her cybernetic eyes moving like if it was a micro galaxy, all between lights and shines.

“Nightmares? Its psychological concept is associated with dreams. Need some assistance to get rid of the so-called nightmares?”

“I-I don't think you could help me in that Aigis, although i appreciate your concern.” YN smiled slightly before closing his door slowly.

“I will see you in the morning, Aigis. Good night.” Aigis just nodded, waiting for the door to close. Being surrounded by the darkness of the hall, making her activate her night vision again.

“Nightmares…” When Aigis was about to walk towards her room, a little ball of fur walked across her metallic legs, taking quick notice of the little fur friend, Koromaru.

“Would you like to spend the rest of the night in room Koromaru?”

The canine just grumbles before following Aigis back to her room.

Aigis was constantly turning her head from her seat. The school wasn't something that she needed to do estrictly, it was more like an excuse to be by Makoto’s side and develop new social links, but since she entered her classes a little feeling inside of her was growing slowly. She turned towards YN who was in one of the back seats of the classroom, his exhausted frown and his eyes fighting with all his will to keep them open made Aigis feel weird, that weird feeling that she only felt in Tartarus…

“YN, I see that you have been missing the attention calls about sleeping in class.” Aigis quickly looked to the front, noticing her school tutor, Isako sighing in frustration. “Go to the bathroom and try to keep yourself awake, don't come back until you can resist the rest of the class.”

Aigis just saw how the male figure exit the classroom without a word, his walk was hurried and clumsy. She turned towards Makoto, who only blinked and signed worriedly.

“Sleep…”

“Is something wrong Aigis? You seem a lot… weirder than usual.” Junpei’s voice made her realize where she was, the constant worrying about YN well-being seemed to take her attention off the exterior.

“My apologies Junpei. It’s just that I find myself between a complex problem and my knowledge doesn't seem to be enough.” Aigis said before seeing all the halls of the academy starting to empty itself.

“Complex problem? What kind of problems do you have with Aigis? Aren’t you some kind of supercomputer or something like that?” Junpei tried to joke around but he only received as a response a slight hit on his elbow from Yukari, Aigis just paid attention towards the weird couple.

“Junpei, don't be mean!Don't listen to him, Aigis, but I kinda agree with him. What problems have you worried about?” Aigis just looked to the pair with her serious face, something so paradox with how she felt inside.

“It's about the user IN. Yesterday before I started my analysis routine, I was interrupted by some weird noises coming from his room. I tried to investigate with a little interview with him but i only discovered that the called nightmares is what user YN is experienced.”

“Nightmares? Damn, it was weird to see him so sleepy in class.” Junpei said with a clearly worried look on his face. Aigis just paid attention to the movement of his face, they seem to express something so complex with so little.

“But then. What is the thing that worries you Aigis?Are you worried about YN not resting well?”

For the first time Aigis doesn't seem to have a clear answer. She was worried about YN, wasn't she? She was supposed to, his notes and fighting skills were compromised, today was the proof of that, but was really that the reason she was so nervous?, was that the reason she felt a little stitch in the designated place for a “heart” on her cold and metallic body?

Before she could ask more questions, Junpei brought her back from her cybernetic mind the moment he placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Dont worry Aigis, i think i have the solution.”

Aigis looked curious at Makoto’s computer. She didn't seem to do anything, she was just sitting there on a chair while looking at millions of windows closing and opening at high speed, with the only thing interacting being a rather large wire that came out from her neck and connected directly to the CPU. Makoto and Junpei were just looking nervous at the android who searched across the internet.

“W-What is she doing?” Makoto asked while scratching his head nervously.

“I-I told her she could search on that internet thing for something related to sleep, but I never thought something like this would happen. It's weird.”

Aigis didn't seem to move. Her eyes were simply navigating all across the LCD screen. Words like “sleep”, “cares”, “nightmares” and “getting rid of..” could be seen by the two boys.

“Think she could break your computer?” Junpei asked, hearing just a groan from his friend.

“My Innocent Sin Online account…”

Silence. No noise could be heard around the halls of the dorm. Aigis took a short walk before reaching her spot. The same old wooden door from yesterday. Aigis didn't lose any time and knocked gently on his door.

Three simple knocks could be heard in a silent building. Aigis waited for YN to open her the door, she was expecting at least a brief moment to help him out. YN should be awake, the light from his lightbulb was still on.

All the information that she found online could be helpful tonight, but everything seems to conclude in one simple action that Yukari, Junpei and the rest of S.E.E.S seemed to agree on.

YN finally opened the door, again seeing the robot girl with her usual serious and inexpressive face, like some kind of deja vu.

“Aigis?”

“Good evening YN, I'm sorry to interrupt you in these hours but being aware of your problems related to the nightmares, I consulted with a few professionals online and the rest of S.E.E.S to reach a satisfactory solution.” Aigis said while entering his room slowly, taking seat on the border of his bed, which was a disaster.

“Solution?, wait, did you tell the rest of the team about my nightmares?” Aigis nodded, caressing her hand all across the bed, she didn't had a developed touch, but she could swear that in inside of the pile of wires and electric circuit that was her body, she could feel the threads of his blanket

“I'm conscious of my status as an android and the limitations that the psychological and mental problems have in me. But…as your friend I would like to be your assistant for you.”

YN was surprised by the revelation and sincerity in the words of that android. Aigis could swear that unconsciously she was smiling, her eyes showed worry and compassion. Inside of him, it seemed weird that something so metallic showed worry for him, but at the same time, he thought he could give her a chance.

“Very well Aigis.”

Aigis looked at YN’s body breathing peacefully, his movements were slow, his vital signs also were in order. He was resting his head on her legs while she was sitting on the edge of his bed.

The girl paid attention to her hands for a moment, the holes in the tip of her fingers were lethal to the shadows, the ammunition created specifically to exterminate them always launched at full speed, her fingers were made to create violence to those creatures but tonight, they will fulfill another function. Carefully and aware of the weight they had, she started to play with his strands of hair all across his head. She paid attention to how the hair seemed to move across her fingers without problems. She could swear that across the metal, she could feel every single hair at once. She could feel beyond the metal.

Slowly, she started to close her eyes in a different but no risky way.

At the end, Agis deserved to rest too.

"There you are boy." Gina rounded the corner, finally catching up to her runaway dog. Chief Inspector Toby had caught a new interesting scent, and had bolted in order to find the source... despite being needed to investigate a crime scene. Oh well, the pup had found what he was looking for, so he was happy, and who can be mad at this adorable pup??? "Sorry 'bout tha'. 'e ain't bothering you is 'e?" (For any muse, I'll let you pick xD)

Aigis had been on a stroll. It gave her time to reflect and think. As she continued, she paused as she could sense something accelerating towards her at incredible speed. A puppy. Aigis bent her knees forward, leaning down to get a closer look at the creature. "Hello there. Did you need something?" Aigis asked. It helped that she could understand dogs.

Before she could see about getting an answer, the dog's assumed owner showed up. "Oh he is no bother at all. My name is Aigis. It is nice to meet you both." While Aigis was looking at Gina, her hand reached over to Toby sniff. Her hands were constructed of a rather advanced metal alloy, though for now she had gloves on to hide the fact that she was in fact an android.

Koromaru (voiced by Shinya Takahashi in Japanese)

A dog who awakens to the power of Persona after a tragic event. Since his original owner—the priest of the dorm’s neighboring Naganaki Shrine—had passed away, the protagonist and friends take him in as a full-fledged member of S.E.E.S. Clever, loyal, and friendly, he quickly becomes a beloved member of the group. He seems especially close to Aigis—who translates his barks—and Ken Amada, the elementary school student. In battle, he wields a knife in his mouth. His unique Persona is Cerberus, specializing in dark skills.

Aigis (voiced by Dawn M. Bennett in English, Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese)

A man-made Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, 7th Generation. She joins S.E.E.S. as an android with a humanlike heart, granting her the power of Persona. She harbors a mysterious attachment to the Protagonist from the first day they meet. Initially coming across as cold and robotic, she begins to discover more human emotions through her experiences with the group. A third-year at Gekkoukan High, though he can rarely be seen at school. He was a founding member of SEES alongside Mitsuru and Akihiko. After distancing himself for about two years, a certain turn of events convinces him to rejoin the group. While unapproachable at first glance, beneath the gruff exterior is a gentle heart and a knack for cooking. He even has a soft spot for animals, doting on Koromaru when no one is looking. In battle, he bludgeons with weapons like axes. His unique Persona is Castor, specializing in hard-hitting physical attacks.

6. Joker (RED DUO MY BELOVED!! I’ve only seen how they interact via GIFs and photos of Q2 but I feel like their chemistry would be incredible. They’re both gremlins in their own right, they can be mischievous and reckless together, but also they have big hearts for their friends and the people they consider important. And they can be…fairly violent when battling together. Imagine a power couple!! That’s them for sure!!)

7. Rio (MY GIRL DESERVES SOMEONE BETTER THAN STINKY, GROSS KENJI!! GIVE HER A PARTNER THAT WILL TREAT HER RIGHT!! No but Kotone and Rio together is very special to me too. Rio is a great social link and Kotone admires the girl’s drive and ambition so, so much. They’d be a cute athletic couple!!)

8. Fuuka (I love me some blue/red dynamics. They can teach each other so much since they both have a strong drive to learn new things. And Kotone’s patience is absolutely incredible, so she would be perfect when it comes to Fuuka’s anxieties and doubts. Plus, Kotone thinks Fuuka is the absolute cutest!! 10/10 would squish her cheeks and give her playful noogies.)

9. Bebe (THAT’S HER SPECIAL BOY!! FASHION COUPLE RIGHT HERE!! She finds him so precious and adores how much he wants to learn about her culture. I think they’d go and try all kinds of food, go to different restaurants, and immerse themselves in all kinds of things so he can experience everything the island has to offer.)

10. Junpei (While I see them more as a platonic relationship, I do think they can make for a good romantic couple. Junpei grows a lot through the story and I think by endgame, he’s come to really appreciate Kotone and admire her strength. There’s some potential there for sure!!)

1. Makoto/Minato (…I don’t think I should start on this ship because I could write a whole college essay about their relationship, the fate they share, the Sun/Moon dynamics, the ‘doomed from the start’ trope, THE FACT THEY ARE THE ORPHEUS/EURYDICE METAPHOR, LITERALLY I COULD MAKE A TED TALK ABOUT THESE TWO AND IT’D LAST FOR 8 HOURS!! THESE TWO MEAN SO MUCH TO ME AND I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE HOW THEY SHOT UP TO BE MY FAVORITE SHIP OF ALL TIME!)

2. Kotone/Minako (Literally the same as the above. They ruin me, they make me weak in the knees, they kill me internally, and I don’t think I’ll ever recover.)

3. Yukari (These two are very special since both of them had a very close relationship to the protagonist. I think there’s a lot of commonalities they have, and I think Yukari can sympathize with Aigis concerning her learning how to be human and how to embrace human emotion. Not to mention, they don’t really have a good family to go back to since Aigis’ creator is dead and Yukari’s most prominent parental figure is dead too. I haven’t watched the Answer yet but I know they butt heads a bit because of the protagonist’s death, but if they can sit and talk to each other, they can get past it. I also think it’d be cool if they’d live together once they graduate. Roommates to lovers, you know?)

4. Ryoji (…okay HEAR ME OUT HERE!!! HEAR ME OUT!! I love me a good enemy/rivals relationship, but consider this. I thoroughly enjoy how Aigis is very hostile towards Ryoji because of his true nature, but also imagine she’s straight up jealous of him because he was able to obtain a human body. On top of that, he immediately bonded with the protagonist, someone she must protect and probably has fallen in love with slowly over time. It’s not fair how he swooped in and is trying to take the protagonist away from her. BUT!! I think Ryoji would tell Aigis she is more human than him, and he finds it so interesting and beautiful how a machine is able to feel human emotions. I truly think Ryoji would fall for Aigis too, because she’s such a unique case. If an android with a specially made heart is capable of living, loving, and caring for humans, maybe he can too. Also, two immortal beings in love with each other and watching over humanity for years and years to come. MmmmmmMMMMMMMM THAT’S GOOD FOOD!)

5. Fuuka (A robot and the geeky nerd who loves tinkering with technology! I think they can easily go hand in hand with each other! Fuuka learning about Aigis’ inner workings and Aigis learning about today’s tech advances from Fuuka. They also have this…special kind of bodyguard/person being protected that gets me going since Fuuka is the navigator. Aigis wouldn’t waste a moment being a shield to keep her safe from Shadows.)

i can't actually reply to the ask for some reason, so i'm answering it like this! as always:

answers for the ask game under the cut!

3 male characters I love:

my favorite male characters have recently shifted, with a new guy claiming the top spot. that one is no other than shinjiro aragaki! since i played persona 3 portable and romanced him (+got that eleventh social link with him 👀) he became my favorite guy! i really love him and he's such a tragic little guy. he'll break my heart a second time once p3 reload drops :')

my second favorite (and former first place) is yosuke hanamura! i liked yosuke from the start in persona 4 and he just grew on me so much over the game. he never left my party and he's been my favorite since my first day of playing the game. he's just great!

third place would have to go to goro akechi! i can't even remember why i was so interested in him when i started persona 5, but he just caught my attention from the start. his voice actor is absolutely amazing and akechi gets even better in the royal section of the game. he's just such a tragic character and so interesting!

3 female characters I love:

i'm not as passionate about the persona women as i am about the persona men. i like pretty much all of the girls equally, but a few stand out a bit. one of them being kotone shiomi aka. femc! i just love how silly she is and she's such a nice contrast to the male protagonist of persona 3. but she still keeps that tragedy that both of the protagonists have. honestly, she's by far my favorite girl!

my second favorite would have to be rise kujikawa! i knew i'd like her from the start and when i actually did her social link, i got so sad that i was already dating someone else, because turning down rise was so heartbreaking. rise is such a great and interesting character, as well as also being weirdly relatable!

my third pick would have to be makoto niijima (i'm seeing a trend here with my fav characters lmao). i just find her relatable and she's a very sweet character. she really grows a lot and i love that for her!

3 romantic ships I love:

my absolute favorite ship is foolmoon aka. shinjiro aragaki x kotone shiomi! everything about them is just perfect! they offer the right amount of angst/fluff ratio, their ship name is absolutely brilliant and they are both great characters, that get even better when put together! plus, there's something tragically beautiful about (major persona 3 spoiler coming now!) how when you pair them up in p3p, shinjiro actually survives the game, while kotone dies. the one that wanted to die lives, while the one that wanted to live dies. it's just... man, those two are breaking my heart in the best way possible!

no other ship can compete with them, but following my unintentional pattern, my second favorite ship is kanji tatsumi x naoto shirogane. i already love kanji a ton (he'd be my fourth fav guy, but he just barely didn't make the list) and he really gets to shine when he's with naoto. those two really are a straight ship made for gay people.

and my third pick is going to be aigis and kotone shiomi / makoto yuki. honestly, both of the protags with aigis are great! there's something so tragic about this ship, plus i love android characters like aigis that need to learn friendship, love, emotions and all that fun stuff. that pairing is really great as friends as well though! i just think they are neat together, no matter how!

3 platonic dynamics I love:

i have way more platonic dynamics i love, so this is kinda hard for me. i really love rise with both yosuke and kanji as friends! i can't really pick a favorite guy here, they are both great with rise!

another character that i just cannot pick for either is shinjiro aragaki, who i love with akihiko, fuuka and ken! each of those three for different reasons, but they are all great and really enhance his character!

that's more than three already, so i'll just... move on!

3 favorite moments in canon:

shinjiro's "secret eleventh social link" with the femc in persona 3 portable! first off, it's just a really sweet scene, plus it's great that you can still date him despite all of it. but then that social link itself is so funny, because... it highkey implies you two are fucking??? like with the right dialogue choices, you end up in his room and he tells you the whole "i'm not holding back if you stay". that caught me so offguard because i was just messing around with the dialogue choices and suddenly something's actually happening??? it's both sweet and funny, which is something you can't say about most scenes shinjiro is in, so i really appreciate it!

another canon moment i really love is the ending of persona 4, when everyone is running along the train and you get to see a picture of the investigation team :') it's just a very sweet scene and perfect to end the game with!

my third favorite canon moment would have to be the "bad" ending of persona 5 royal. because, it really isn't bad at all. it's happier than the "good" ending, which is a very interesting thing to do. that scene is just so incredibly bittersweet, knowing this is the "bad" ending, while also seeing everyone so happy. can it really be that bad if it makes them happy? :')

3 favorite headcanons:

i headcanon quite a lot of people as bi, but especially yosuke, kanji and naoto! kanji and naoto just give me "bi people in a straight relationship" vibe, while yosuke literally had a cut gay confession scene that i cannot ignore. also, he's such a disaster bi!

i don't really have that many big headcanons, so another one would have to be... haru likes otome games! and she gets ann & makoto to play a few of them as well (and both of them are lowkey into it).

my third headcanon is going to be that rise would've tried to become a streamer instead of an idol if that had been an option. sort of like iris from ai:tsf, who's half streamer and half idol. i think rise would've thrived like that and instead of taking a break from being an idol, she would've just taken a break and focused more on streaming!

3 least favorite things about it:

immediately spoiler for the ending of persona 3, but i hate that final boss! it has way too many phases! plus, i encountered a glitch during the last phase of that fight in my playthrough and it had took me almost two hours already to even get to that point. this one is just a personal grudge!

another thing i hate with a burning passion, even more than the p3 endboss, is the fact that you can date kawakami in persona 5! i really loved the first arc of persona 5, with kamoshida as the villain, since it's... relatable? saying it like that sounds bad, but hear me out: we all went to school and had teachers, some worse than others, so we all know a few teachers each. but how many politicians do you know? or how many famous artists? kamoshida was relatable because even if you never went through something that horrible, it's much more likely that you were wronged by a teacher before than a politician, famous artist or some mafia guy. i really loved how serious they took the kamoshida situation, only to be absolutely disgusted when seeing you could date kawakami. like, did we not just establish that teacher & student relationships are bad? did the people making persona 5 forget what the first ten hours of that game were about? or is it suddenly okay to have an age and power gap like that, because kawakami is a woman and "that's hot"? seriously, this is one thing i'm massively dissappointed about. also, in the same vein: why can you romance ken, a literal child, in persona 3? 🤨 that one is just as bad, but i just never did ken's social link so i never had the chance to build a hatred for this as strong as my hatred for the kawakami romance.

i think another thing i hate, which also fits my first point: the boss fight against haru's dad. it already sucks, but adding a timer to it? unforgiveable! timers are the worst thing to exist. i don't want to be rushed, i want to take my time with games. it's already a bad boss fight, but anything with a timer already gets ten times worse.

okay, me again! the one silly & sweet idea i had was for aigis from persona 3! i was thinking a scenario during the time she's still new to sees, but she has a crush on the reader, so despite having to stay at the dorms, she keeps sneaking into readers classes to see them/spend time with them 👉🏻👈🏻

Aigis is aware that she is nothing but an android to fight the shadows and thats something that she constantly repeats to herself and others, so, even when the members of SEES (including you) treat her as an equal she simply has problems changing her way of seeing herself

For being an android she has a hard time understanding the feelings, specially hers since she just underestimate her more human side, so the moment she developed a crush on you she simply take it as part of her duty as new member of SEES to help you and protect you

The more time it pass of you two being together the more her feelings grow, wich only leaded Aigis to act a bit more reckless, she doesn't understand why she constantly thinks about you and want to be with you but she simply decided to follow her wishes as she trust in her instict

Aigis start to sneak into your room at morning to wake you up and always greet you at the dorms' door right after the school day finished, even suddenly appearing at your side to make sure you are properly taking if yourself

Aigis tries to wait with patience until she finally had the permision to went out of the dorms but since she simply couldn't stop thinking about you she mistook her feelings as a bad feeling of maybe something bad happening to you, so at some point Aigis just started to leave the dorms to search for you

Aigis didn't wanted to get in troubles nor cause you troubles so at first she just sneaked out of the doorms to check on you, watching from afar before forcing herself to go back to the dorms since she still hasn't the permision to be outside, but as time pass and the more she sneaked out of the dorms the more she wanted to stay a little longer and even go to you, besides, she also started to feel some jealousy about the poeple around you, so at the end she was unable to stop herself from going directly towards you

No matter if she is scolded by you or someone else Aigis simply can't stop herself, when you less expected she is already at your side on school (most of the time during lunch break or when is over), appearing out of nowhere and imediatly calling for you, almost ignoring everyone else

She will be quite upset if you end up scolding her but that will only stop her for a few days, but if you simply gave up and let her be by your side she is visibly more happy

If someone ask her she bluntly says that she needs to by at your side without an explanation since she can't neither fully understand it, but at this point she doesn't question it neither, she simply follow her wishes and hopes that the time when she is allowed to go to school arrive soon to be at your side during the classes too!

my brain cycles through fantasy stories every year and i wanna write out whats been going on in my head

its about an android super soldier mecha girl living in a latestage capitalist dystopia. she was created to serve the military needs of the ruling powers and act as a propoganda-justice spreading heroine to enchant the public.

like any proper robot story, she gains emotions and sentience over time. one day she deserts to an opposing faction, but still finds that although she is serving a better cause, people only see her as a means to an end - a tool to sow bloodshed.

having no kin or home, she isolates herself deep within nature. during her solitude, a manmade apocalypse is triggered and nothing of her past remains. both the cities she protected and destroyed are nothing but rubble. the peoples she shielded and slaughtered are scattered and lost. how can she find peace when the ashes of her past slip between her bloodstained fingers?

as the only remnant of the past, she must climb to the mantle of messiah. she us the only one who can salvage humanity, build new towns, ensure the world survives and stays a righteous course. but what abour her own happiness?

also her legs are on a gyro, she has guns for fingertips (aigis style), hover-skates for feet, and jet propulsion. and theres kaiju

Warning: really long meandering post about the Persona series. Also spoilers.

So I’ve been playing a shitload of Atlas games the last like month or two for some reason, and I just recently beat both Persona 5 Royal, and Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aegis. Kinda general spoilers ahead, but it’s really interesting the similarities and differences between the two, when I say P5R I specifically mean the new semester that was added for Royal.

So like they are both continuation of their main game’s story, and they both are about how we deal with grief. This is a logical choice of subject matter for P3 because that game was all about themes of death and loss. For Persona 5 it feels like a weird direction to take the story since that game was more about themes of rebellion and injustice.

Say what you will about Episode Aigis/The Answer, whatever you want to call it, atleast what sparse story content there was tonally consistent with its parent game. In it you play as the android Aegis who developed emotions just in time for her first love to die in her arms. Understandably she is plagued with emotions she can’t understand and in her grief she finds herself trapped in The Abyss of Time.

In Dr.Maruki’s wild ride in P5R, Joker wakes up on New Years Day and discovers that a bunch of a formally dead people are alive again and Morgana is now a human, upon investigating it turns out that when they shot God in the face it some how made Dr.Maruki the new God but he’s more like Bruce Almighty in that he can grant wishes and shit but he’s not omnipotent. Goro Akechi, who isn’t dead anymore contacts you and is like “we need to stop Dr.Maruki because he’s just making people happy by giving them what they want, that’s cheating!” Unlike Aegis though, Joker is just blank slate protagonist so the best arguement Dr.Maruki can give to Joker is that if you stop him Goro Akechi will die again… But Goro Akechi is a deranged sociopathic murderer who flat out tells you he cares more about stopping Dr.Maruki than living.

What about the other party members? In Episode Aegis your party gets fractured by the question of whether they should live in the present or go to back and try to change the past. Ultimately you come to blows over this decision and the team ends up learning that Makoto sacrificed himself for a reason and trying to go back and change that would be folly, so together they decide to honor his legacy.

In P5R everyone except Joker (and I guess Akechi’s) get’s their wishes granted, which mostly takes the form of a dead loved one being brought back to life, and these aren’t like secretly evil Pet Sematary versions or someshit, Dr. Maruki altered the timeline so that they just never died. So you just kinda like walk up to people and do like a friendlier version of the FFTA “it’s escapism” bit, and then like entirely off screen (except Morgana) they all just sort of say “huh I guess he’s right” with like zero resistance. They missed a great opportunity to have some drama and division in the party. We don’t even get to see a scene where anyone of these characters say goodbye to their revived loved ones or anything, they just sorta killed them off screen.

Then when you confront Dr.Maruki about why what he’s doing is evil it’s like kinda just dumb arguments about how he’s robbing people of their agency or whatever which like in a normal scenario is true but the whole idea of the Phantom Thieves is that they go into people’s minds and rob them of their agency so it’s just like whatever.

This is an aside but honestly the Dr.Maruki shit makes little sense mechanically, his powers have like “Jojo final boss Stand” vibes where it’s basically just he can do whatever he wants but somehow he still loses to a bunch of teenagers with punch ghosts.

Persona 5 was my first Persona game and I played it back 2017, and I remember really liking it back then. After replaying it for the first time with all the new content Royal added in, I’m surprised how much I hated the writing. The only mainline persona game I haven’t played is the first one, and while I will say 5/R has the best gameplay and dungeons, it also has the worst writing and least interesting characters.

I do also want to say though that Episode Aegis sucks to play. What little story there is in the experience is all at the beginning and end. Everything in between is a grueling slog of clearing out floor after floor of boring dungeons, and recycled boss fight after recycled boss after, with a few extremely short flashback sequences peppered in.

Oh also the icing on the cake is that at the end of Royal it basically loops back in time to a slightly modified version of the original ending of the vanilla game, and in the canonical sequel, Persona 5 Strikers, none of the new shit from Royal is ever mentioned. So it basically doesn’t matter.

I’m currently play Soul Hackers 2. It’s fun. It’s not a masterpiece, but i like the story and characters so far.

The Abyss

When reality began to catch up to Aigis once more, the first thing that her sensors picked up on was the sound of a strange, yet gentle, piano’s melody. She blinked her eyes open. She wasn’t in the dorms any longer. Instead, she was standing in the middle of a strange, blue room. Everything was blue. The walls, the floors… even the table and chairs in front of her.

Aigis blinked. What… happened? She could recall a surge of power, and then…

There was a soft chuckle. “Welcome, young one.”

Aigis immediately stood at attention. Sitting before her at a table was an old man with an incredibly long nose. To his right sat a regal-looking young woman with her curls pinned out of her face with a headband. To his left was a young man with swept back hair. Both of them were dressed in royal blue, and both shared the same platinum blonde hair and golden eyes. An empty chair was to each of their sides, as if whoever once occupied it was gone.

“Ah, quite the rare guest indeed,” said the old man with intrigue. He leaned further on the table. “Are you a simulacrum or in fact human?”

“I…” Aigis began, but the words got caught on her tongue. She… She wasn’t sure what she was. She was artificial. A new species. There was no technical term for what she was other than an android. A weapon. A failed creation.

The old man chuckled once more. “It seems your destiny is very similar to our own…”

Aigis narrowed her gaze on the three figures in front of her. “Where am I? Who are you?”

“Ah, forgive my manners. I forgot to introduce myself.” Despite Aigis’s cold demeanor, neither the old man or his associates seemed intimidated. They kept calm. “My name is Igor… To my right is Margaret,” the regal woman nodded as Igor gestured to her. “And to my left is Theodore.” The man stared down at the table, not looking up at Aigis.

“...pleased to meet you,” Theodore said more out of politeness than anything else. He seemed to be upset about something.

Igor continued, not mindful of Theodore’s expression at all. “This place exists between mind and matter. It is a room that only those who have been chosen may enter, once they’ve signed their contract.” Aigis blinked. A contract…?

“We are the denizens of what you could call this… Velvet Room,” Margaret said, continuing where Igor left off. “We oversee the affairs of both worlds and act accordingly when need be. Though you have not signed a contract, we have brought you here to be a guest of ours.”

“But how…?” Aigis asked, not sure which question to start with. There were plenty to ask because she understood none of what was going on.

“How indeed…” said Igor. “Our most recent guest was a young witch with extraordinary talent. He stood to defy fate and destiny…” the smile that Igor had on his face since Aigis arrived seemed to stretch wider. “And he won. You know him rather well.”

“You…” Aigis’s eyes widened. There was only one witch that she could think of that had achieved such a task. “You know Minato-san?”

Igor nodded. “Indeed we do. What he achieved was quite the marvelous thing.”

“A thing that might be in danger if we don’t do something soon,” said Margaret, her calm demeanor cracking ever so slightly as she spoke. What was she…?

Igor held up his hand. “Patience, Margaret.” He turned to Aigis. “The power that you wield is the means to obtain a certain… answer. The answer to a question that’s been plaguing you for a quite a while.” Did he… Did he know?

Aigis’s hands balled at her sides. “This answer… if I reach it… what would it mean…?”

“All who live in search of an answer reach it at their journey’s end.” Their… end. Did that mean…? “If you have close ties to the people you call friends, remember this: ‘The strength of heart, when untied, is barred by no door’. It was the same for that young witch as well.” …Minato…

“That is all we are allowed to say,” said Theodore. He stared down at the table, digging his fingers into his pants to avoid looking at the empty seat next to him. Aigis had a suspicion that she was missing part of this story.

“We shall not keep you here any longer,” said Igor. “The beginning of your ordeal awaits…” He snapped his fingers. A wave of magical distortion washed over Aigis. She gripped her head, searching for a way to do whatever she could to make it stop.

“What is…?” she muttered to herself. She didn’t understand. What was going on? The music around her began to fade. The world went dark before she could collapse.

She had once made a choice to live. So much had happened since then. If drawing and using her power meant she was drawing closer to life… Did that mean the answer at the end of the journey was death?

...much to her surprise, that possibility didn’t bother her as much as she thought it would.
