@aiding-and-abetting
“I get it. No, really I do.  You’ve been looking after the Autobots for some time now.” Charlie nods, wiping the grease stains off her hands with a already dirty rag looking at the older male.
“Not like I don’t know what I’m doing. Not like I haven’t been fixing cars my whole life or had looked after Bumblebee at one point, fixing him up best I could. Right, cause what do I know?” She sucks at her teeth.
It seemed Cade Yeager had made a comment that Charlie took as an insult and being who she is, wasn’t gonna take it lying down. “So, why am I even here if you supposedly know what you’re doing, hm?”

Reaching out towards her tools, she plucked up a wrench before moving back onto the body creeper and rolls back under the car she was currently working on.

aiding-and-abetting has found you
 “No one else is supposed to be here.” Allison called out to a man she seen. She hoped he wasn’t the trf, but she still didn’t want to be caught unaware. Allison jumped down to the ground from where she had been climbing.

Lock ‘em up
I try not to judge parents. Before I became a mother, I was the world’s most perfect parent and while certain things are non negotiable, I can say that actually being a full time mother and not a temporary caregiver, is different. It’s like comparing being married to being in a long term relationship, there are many similarities but it’s something about adding that title and the legal aspect that have tested even the strongest and lengthiest relationships. Both may seem like practice but there is no true practice for parenthood, not even caring for nieces, nephews, cousins, teaching, or being a caregiver. It’s all completely different and you don’t know what you don’t know. But like I said, there are things I do judge parents on and one of those is agreeing to anything that compromises the safety and wellbeing of your child in anyway, shape or form and pretty much giving your daughter to man who is a well known sexual deviant is one of those things.
Recently, R. Kelly’s ex-goddaughter testified in his Chicago trial, the one who was featured in the infamous tape in the early 2000s. That tape, and don’t lie and say you haven’t seen it because I know many people who knowingly watched child pornography because they wanted to see if it was really him. The only reason they couldn’t prosecute everyone who saw or sold the tape, is because the world’s entire resources would be used trying everyone. It was that popular. And everyone knew it was him and many people knew who the underaged girl was in that tape but she and her family denied it and it’s hard to defend a victim who denies she’s the victim. Her parents willingly obstructed justice and now that the money and perks are gone, they, like everyone else want to share their story to avoid culpability but they’re all wrong. The time to tell was 20 years ago when he was on trial. This could have saved their daughter and many other daughters years of pain and abuse and they can try to throw the blame to the aunt for introducing her and even instructing her but it ultimately falls on the parents.
It is one thing to take a monetary judgement because you know proper justice won’t be served but it is another thing to willingly aid and abet the grown man who was sexually abusing your child. According to many people and the court testimony, they allowed R. Kelly’s people to pick their daughter up from school and they allowed her to sleep at the studio or at his house. It became so obvious what was going on that people called Sparkle to warn her, who in turn called her sister and brother-in-law  and even called CPS but the parents denied it and continue to allow it to happen. Sparkle is in the wrong for introducing the niece to him but that’s where the blame ends. If Sparkle was there and encouraging her niece to do the things she was alleged to have done, including making her sit on his lap and rub his head, then she deserves to be locked up too but once the parents were made aware of what was happening and they did not stop it, the onus goes from Sparkle to the parents. If something is going on with my 14 year old daughter and I am made aware of it and I turn a blind eye and go “la la la I’m not listening” then I can’t be mad when it blows up. It’s not their fault, it’s mine.
There are two professions where you see the true jacked up, selfish nature of people and that is police officers and journalists. Doctors usually see the aftermath of what happened, which doesn’t make it any less traumatizing but seeing and reading the details of what actually happened and what led up to it, there is nothing like it. As a journalist, I have read many charging documents detailing the things people have done and have allowed to be done to their children and let’s just say, if people got the heads of out the sand and stopped being in denial, nothing about parents willingly selling their underaged daughters to a rich and powerful man would not surprise you.
I believe the father of the victim cried on the stand while watching the video and ultimately denying it was his daughter because he knew at that moment he sold his soul to R. Kelly. I don’t know what R. Kelly told them to get them to willingly go along with helping to throw his trial but I wonder if it was worth it. A middle class/working family was magically able to afford trips to luxurious places such as a six month vacation to South France and once they came back, she was allegedly moved into a hotel away from her parents, all while being underaged and R. Kelly being on trial for her abuse. After the trial ended and he was acquitted, due to her parents cooperation and willingness to all but sell their daughter to a sexual deviant, she continued to live with him and even be in his presence until a few years ago. I get that she wants to protect her parents and her family, who have benefited from her trauma financially and career wise with opportunities to play for R. Kelly and other Chicago based musicians but she can’t put all of this on her aunt. If something happens to one of my daughters while she is in the care of their aunt and I find out, it is no longer on the aunt to protect her. It is on me. I am her mother and one of two people that can legally sign anything on her behalf. She is my responsibility, not her aunt’s.
Money and access talks and buys. One of the reasons why R. Kelly was able to get away with what he got away with for so many years, even after the trial, was because he had money and could buy people off. R. Kelly gave out a lot of settlements to the young women and their families for years before the first trial. People knew but they were willing to turn a blind eye because of money. I think the only reason the family of the victim is willing to cooperate is because once he was muted and went to jail, the money was gone, as were the benefits in being associated with him, so there was no use in protecting him. I also think it is CYA because the prosecutors want R. Kelly, not because they magically care about disenfranchised young black women being abused by an R&B superstar, it’s because he embarrassed them the first time. There is nothing worse than losing a trial simply because the defendant was able to buy off his victim and her family. The Cook County prosecutor also needs to be careful because he was found not guilty and trying him again for the tape and sexual assault of Jane Doe can cause a mistrial like the one in the case of Bill Cosby. He may have outsmarted the system but they have to take the “L” because trying him again on charges he legally, not morally, beat is a recipe for disaster and can ruin the entire case. He already got 30 years, tread carefully.
There are a lot of people, parents involved, who need to be in prison for obstruction of justice because while R. Kelly is undoubtedly disturbed and used his money to do disturbing things, there were a lot of people who willingly helped him and a lot of parents who knowingly put their child in harm’s way in hopes that they would be the “next Aaliyah” or they would get the payoff that Jane Doe’s family did and they were paid quite nicely. I can say, that if everything was true, that they truly did benefit from their association with the devil, I mean R. Kelly. The mother is also a pastor in the Chicagoland area, do with that what you will.

Lender Liability: Ratification of 3rd Party’s Actions; from HENDERSON v. UNITED STUDENT AID FUNDS, INC. (CA9,2018). Argued and Submitted 10/10/2018, San Francisco; Filed 3/22/2019.
A court may hold lenders, like USA Funds, vicariously liable for the TCPA violations of third party callers, like the debt collectors, "where the plaintiff establishes an agency relationship, as defined by federal common law, between the defendant and [the] third-party caller." Gomez, 768 F.3d at 879. We rely on the Restatement (Third) of Agency for common law agency principles. See, e.g., Mavrix Photographs, LLC v. LiveJournal, Inc., 873 F.3d 1045, 1054 (9th Cir. 2017). "Agency is the fiduciary relationship that arises when one person (a `principal') manifests assent to another person (an `agent') that the agent shall act on the principal's behalf and subject to the principal's control, and the agent manifests assent or otherwise consents so to act." Restatement § 1.01. There are several ways to establish an agency relationship, including actual authority and ratification. Restatement §§ 2.01, .01.
Whether an agency relationship exists is for a court to decide based on an assessment of the facts of the relationship and not based on how the parties define their relationship. Restatement § 1.02; see also U.S. v. Milovanovic, 678 F.3d 713, 725 (9th Cir 2012) (finding an agency relationship even though the parties' agreements labeled them as independent contractors). Thus, it is not dispositive, as USA Funds argues, that the agreements between USA Funds, Navient, and the debt collectors define their relationships as independent contractors.
Moreover, it is appropriate to consider whether the parties are trying to limit or prevent liability by characterizing their relationship as something other than an agency relationship. Restatement § 1.02 cmt. b. Henderson alleges that USA Funds is doing just that. More specifically, she argues that USA Funds, Navient, and the debt collectors had a "wink-and-a-nudge" agreement to use unlawful calling practices notwithstanding their independent contractor agreements.

7-in-7 :: Fall Fashion Finds for the Equestrian
#4 :: Richer Poorer Socks
An equestrian is only as good as his or her socks. We know you've been there... a long day at the horse show + cheap socks = blisters. And that's just no fun. Check out these really fun, funky socks. They are comfy, they don't fall to pieces (like those thin riding socks), and they are super cute. Also, these socks are completely husband/boyfriend approved!

Where to buy: Richer Poorer
How much moolah?: 12$
