Not only images either. Ive noticed recently that whenever you search for anything, a lot of the first results pages have AI generated blog posts, essays, etc, which tend to say nonsense or contradict themselves.
And a lot of those are easy to spot because of how much they repeat specific words, or because of having a title that has nothing to do with its content. But if AI continues being used this much to generate content and it continues evolving, getting accurate info will be hardest than ever before.
#most problems until now were about not having enough information of things#most people didnt take the time to post about something they have no idea about. and most misinfo would be purposefully modified to deceive#and that took time#with enough research you could show something is true or false. and peer review was a priority#but how do you find those peer reviewed essays if theyre buried in lots of posts with misinformation to start with?#if A cites B‚ which references C‚ who got info from D. will you check the sources one by one to see if theyre true or any got misinfo mixed?#and any info without citations should lose its value. but will everyone treat it that way? will everyone check all the info they hear?#these problems were always there‚ but werent paid that much attention because it was a small amount of people who would cause them#ai will take that and multiply it exponentially tho#ai#information#important reminders
