Just for the sake of posterity... I've completed Scott and Jaal's romance, we beat the Archon, Meridian is settled and I've got almost 580 hours in on this game! And we saved Captain Dunn while we were at it because, in this house, we love and respect Captain Nozomi Dunn and we take the time, even when we're doing a straight up romance run, to recruit all 3 Pathfinders so that Captain Dunn doesn't die at the end! *nodnods very firmly*

Seriously, it takes less time to skip the Turian and Asari Pathfinder missions (you'll get the Salarian Pathfinder no matter what) but without all 3, Captain Dunn will die when the Hyperion crashes and that makes me feel AWFUL. I already feel bad because I've spent the whole game dodging the side quests she keeps trying to give me, lol!

Anyway, I'm gearing up to play as Sara again after a lonnnnng span of playing as Scott. And, since the People Have Spoken™️😂 I'll be playing as my original red haired Sara!

There's no telling who I'll be romancing. IT COULD BE ANYBODY. LITERALLY ANY ONE OF SEVERAL OPTIONS. ANY BODY.

Although, to be fair, I'm really wanting to romance my best Turian girl Vetra again. So I miiiiiight try to resist the charms of Mr. The Charlatan but we'll see how strong I Sara can be, lol! 🤞😣🤞😉

Aww, Vetra is such a sweetie! 💗💗💗I really do love her so much and, since her Loyalty Mission is only necessary if you're advancing her romance AND I haven't romanced her in a long time, I really want to do a playthrough where I complete the mission for her.

And, of course, I need to see if there's a mod to add the (In)famous Andromeduck. Because, you know, reasons.

Heh. Just kidding on that one, of course. But if I don't at least name one of these ducks "Andromeduck," then I'm doing a disservice to my silly nature. 😂😉

Hey, maybe I should get a rubber ducky and name it Andromeduck? It could go with Garrus and/or Shepard!

But I've got to see if I can optimize three games like I've learned to do for Andromeda so it won't take me years and years to get through them all, lol!

Obviously AI responds openly when I ask her if she has feelings about Honeymaren. But the statement that it might happen in the future was interesting.

But about Honeymaren's own feelings towards Elsa was interesting. Honeymaren seems to be the girl in love even in AI's opinion.

Quoting Aren was just to see how informed this AI was.

Even AI doesn't seem to know what Elsa does now that she is no longer queen. But really what she quoted is basically what the Snow Queen does when she's not in Ahtohallan being a librarian.

Ryder was quirky. In fact in "Disney Magic Kingdoms" he seems interested in getting closer to Elsa until he realizes that this place is Honeymaren's. But beyond the fact that Elsa calls Ryder Lieutenant, does she invent a girlfriend for him? I don't know this Britt.

this is my single non-Dragon Age wip! it's Mass Effect instead. Andromeda, to be specific (which apparently many people did not like, but I do not care lol)

This is going to be a series of outsider POV scenes based on the relationship between my Pathfinder and SAM, the bonded AI. I really love the set up for them in game so far and I've been taking notes as I play, marking scenes I would want to either add or change. I wanna strike a good balance between Ryder and SAM's connection being genuinely caring/familial and the rest of the team being super creeped out by how close she is with him. Highlights include Ryder giving SAM joke lessons and having a disturbing lack of regard for her own physical autonomy

Controversial question: how does Fandom feel about AI assisted drawings?

I’m planning a scene of Ryder and Honeymaren hanging out in the forest. But my vision exceeds my drawing skills. I recently found an app to create AI scenery from pictures I like…so with some AI filters + a bunch of overdrawing and combining and drawing of my own, I’ve finally created a scene I’ve been imagining.

On one hand, some people feel like AI art is cheating, because it can often draw better than we can, yet on the other hand, animation has ALWAYS been marked by breakthroughs in technology, like reusing backgrounds or CG.

something that i feel isn't talked about enough when it comes to dragon age is just how well they do the "just some person" trope. all three are special only through circumstance.

the warden can have a more "special" background, like a dwarven prince(ss) or a human noble, but they can also just be some mage fresh out of the harrowing or an impoverished elf. there's nothing inherently special about them. no great prophecy, no inherently superhuman capabilities. the only thing that makes them special is that they happened to have been recruited and happened to be the one recruit to survive the joining. well, what really makes them special is that they were randomly placed in a position to change the world and they took it, for better or worse.

hawke is literally just a refugee at the start of the game. the only thing that makes them special in any way is the fact that they are related to a noble family, but that noble family was only ever minor and had long since fallen from grace. at their core, hawke is just someone who was using their abilities to survive and somehow made their way to become the hero of a city. hawke is an incredible person, but only because they chose to be one.

then the inquisitor takes all of this to the next level, because it makes you believe that you are special. you're the fucking herald of andraste, the maker's chosen to beat back the demonic tide that is sweeping thedas. except you're not. they tell you that, again, you were just some person at the conclave, who happened to be in the right place in the right time. but the inquisitor doesn't care. they can choose to believe that they were chosen regardless, or they can resolve to think it just doesn't matter. what matters is that they can help and thus they should.

i just think it's really refreshing that dragon age has never gone the route of "oh this person is totally normal ... except they're actually the most important and powerful person in the world, according to this prophecy". they stick to the formula of "some person saves the world" and i like that.
