tumblrinas when the disability disables you: oh wow that's so cringe. Stop doing that. Actually, I have disability too, and I can do it, which means you're just using your disability as an excuse. I'm morally correct therefore to mock you for being disabled and using tools and aids to help you. I'm not ableist, I'm just saying the hard truth 😊

"You don't want the iced tea at all?" He takes a slurping sip of iced tea, waving it in her gag, letting her stare at the droplets of condensation.
"Mmmmf, hmmmmmph!!" (Fuck off, and let me out!) She glares at him, sucks in precious air as she tries to keep up with his pace, but the suit is so heavy and constricting on her slim figure she can barely walk at half her normal speed. The collar below the suit constricts her breathing, not letting her have a moment's relief from the choking discomfort. How many times does she wake up in a night, straining against the suit, trying to bring her mitted hands to her collar, trying to make the annoying tightness go away? Her full bladder presses at her, prods at her mind. In another life she was a street brawler, leader of an all-female gang known for their fighting prowess, but now her every move is hampered, stopped up, sluggish in the confines of the heavy suit, totally helpless against the city slicker who now holds her captive and toys with her, knowing she cannot fight back in the least.
Soon, she is out of the allowed range from the sensor in his pocket, and the suit goes into action, tightening at her collar and wrists and ankles until she is screaming in agony into the gag, still trying to keep up with his pace. He stops in his tracks to let her catch up, but she has barely gotten back into range before he walks off again, setting off the punishments once more. She fights against the suit, wanting no more than to rush him, to punch that smarmy grin off his face, to pummel him to bits for his taunting, but the suit is so stiff and tight and heavy she can barely raise her arms, flex her arms or legs without great effort, much less hit him, or even get within striking distance. Finally, he stops long enough for her to catch up, still panting and moaning in gagged agony. Letting her watch, her relieves himself onto the grass, takes another long sip of tea, letting out sighs of pleasure while she watches, dreaming of relieving herself for more than a few seconds each day, dreaming of even a single drop of the sweet and ice-cold tea, growling in frustration as he tantalizes her.
He watches, amused, as she tries with all her might to get at him, laughs as he simply steps out of the way of every single one of her slow and ineffectual blows, makes a mockery of her attempts to get at the sensor which remains firmly in his pocket. He fishes the keys to her suit out of the other pocket, dangles them right between her paws, snatches them out of reach as she close to them, watching her snarl in fury as he pulls them out of her grasp, just that little bit faster than her mitts can get at them. Again and again, and even though she knows he is toying with her, she cannot help but try to grasp at even the smallest hope of release, at even the faintest glimmer of freedom, knowing full well he will simply snatch it away each time.

Just so you know, tumblr is currently using art for AI training and the only way to stop them is to go into your settings and turn it off 'third party sharing' manually (on each of your blogs)
i've done it already ty! i doubt it'll do anything, but whatever. i've already resigned myself to my art being stolen by ai - it is what it is
maybe i can destroy ai scraping singlehandedly by only posting my drunk ms paint trackpad drawings from now on

The most fascinating part of the AI-in-writing discourse is everyone's certainty that they're on the same page. You'll see people saying "we should just ban all AI-generated content!" in a thread where people agreeing with them have already excepted outlining, idea generation, light edits, first drafts, rephrasals, Grammarly, Google Docs spell-check, memes, character.ai, etc. from their definitions of "AI-generated works."
There is absolutely no clarity on whether popular opinion in favor of an "AI ban," even on any one individual website, includes anything outside of "putting in one prompt, taking the first result, and posting it without any acknowledgement of AI usage"which is, of course, by far the rarest usage of the tech. Good luck, babes.

the "disabled people need it!" argument for generative AI is insane because it completely misses the point. like yeah, i get it, it could be great if disabled people who genuinely cannot bring themselves to type or hold a pencil could have a way to create anyway. I really do understand why that's an attractive idea, I am aware that some disabled people just can't draw or paint or write and it's not their fault and there's nothing they can do about it. That doesn't make gen AI use ethical. The problem isn't that your art becomes soulless and Bad because you didn't put your blood sweat and tears into it (I don't like gen AI art for this reason too but I am aware it's subjective and don't use it as an argument), the problem is that generative AI is killing the environment, stealing from artists who never gave their permission to have models trained on them, and the democratization of gen AI is just asking for misinfo and propaganda to be more common (it's already bad enough).

For the record I think generative AI is just a tool and as such is morally neutral. It's the way it's used and the purpose it's used for that matters.

Been offline for personal reasons for a long while but now I'm semi back I want to make one thing clear; unfollow me if you engage with any AI content. This includes ChatGPT, Character.ai and whatever thing y'all are using these days. This also, obviously, includes AI art programs.
'Cause I don't care if you use it to talk to your favorite characters, I'm sorry.
I am autistic and very much so and my OCs give me the most comfort these days. When I was a kid, I had favorite characters from shows, movies and books but I just imagined conversations with them. Fandom people have done this for decades now but here you all are training AI to become better, more efficient, more accurate.
The thing about AI is; it's powerless without input from humans. And the more you guys chat to these pots. The more prompts you're feeding it. The bigger and better it becomes.
And soon AI is all we have left. I don't want to live in a world where robots make art, writing and poetry. I want this to be done by humans. Humans who pour their heart and soul into what they create.
Not some soulless robot mimicking what it's being taught.
I would also urge you to stop using AI in general. But I don't have that power over anyone.
"But I can't write that well." Get better. Or make bad stories.
"I can't draw that well." Get better. Or make bad art.
"I don't have money for commissions." Enjoy the art you can find online and support the artists with reblogs and follows. Plus there are many artists who have free doodle requests once in a while. Maybe you can pool money together with a friend to get a commission. It's not that hard.
People were up in arms about NFTs and rightfully so but now AI is a thing so many of you are like 'well hold on now...'
