When it became clear to Uwais that the teeth of the Prophet (pbuh) had been broken by the enemies in the battle of Uhud, he was very upset and continuously prayed to Allah asking a longer life for the prophet Muhammed (pbuh)
Address: Chartak district, Baghistan.
Period: 1863
Area: 2.90 ha
History: We mentioned that Sultan Uwais Qarani was the secret lover and loyal friend of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). When it became clear to Uwais that the teeth of the Prophet (pbuh) had been broken by the enemies in the battle of Uhud, he was very upset and continuously prayed to Allah asking a longer life for the prophet Muhammed (pbuh).
The Prophet (pbuh) was ot indifferent to Sultan Uwais as well. He felt close to Uwais through his dreams. When Prophet (pbuh) departed from the horizon of mortal life and headed towards eternity, he bequeathed to his companions: "After me, give my khirqa (type of a robe) to Uwais". Companions Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Ali (r.a) set out to obey the testament. They find Sultan Uwais Qarani and hand over the khirqa. When the news of this gift spread, the people who visited Uwais began to flow like a flood.
Uwais Qarani will keep this blessed kihrqa carefully until the very end of his life. After his death, the khirqa was placed in the “Khira” Cave in Mekkah. Then Sheikh Dustmuhammad brought the khirqa to Baghdad. During the reign of Amir Temur, the blessed khirqa was brought to the city of Bukhara.
In 1181-1182, the ruler of Afghanistan, Ahmadshah Durani, gathered more than 60,000 troops and sent them to the north of Amudarya to conquer the provinces of Turkestan behind Sayhun. The emir of Bukhara, Shahmuradbek, who was immediately acknowledged about this, sent 20,000 of his people to the border to help the residents of of Balkh and Badakhshan. But he was had to give the blessed khirqa to Ahmadshah in order to prevent conflicts and wars between the Muslims. According to historical sources, this khirka passed from hand to hand and was taken to Turkey by the Ottoman sultans. Today, the it is kept in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul.

(T/R9/h) http://dlvr.it/N8tDzV
