Most Sherlock Holmes adaptations I've seen tend to place their Final Problem towards the mid point of the series (or even a bit earlier) - it's also in my opinion the best way of going about it, so you have time enough for the characters to adjust after the reunion but they know each other well enough for the events of Fina to be devastating.

Sherlock & Co is done with 20 of the adventures. How many are there? Fifty-something? Almost sixty? Let's say we'll be entering mid-point territory after the 25th story.

So let's pretend for a moment that we have 5 more stories until The Final Problem. Ok.

Estimating an adventure at 3 episodes each, that would mean little over 3 months - maybe 3 and a half? Starting, of course, from the end of Sign of Four, which will be somewhere in December.

So let's say 3, maybe 4 months into 2025. That would be, what? Late march, early april?

Early april?

John having to tell the listeners that Sherlock is dead, in early april?

Quick calendar search reveals what I was praying it would - the 1st of april will be on a Tuesday next year.

Jimithon Mouthwashing is such a good representation of untreated, enabled NPD like it makes me want to squeeze the life out of him. I'm endlessly fascinated when watching him interact with his crew, surroundings, and himself because he's so fucking lost in his own sauce. It's insane. If I'm being real, it makes him my favorite character in the game.

It's a little scary to say, but watching Jimmy is like seeing a mirrored version of myself two years ago before I truly committed to treatment for my NPD. He's like a shadow. The opening line "I hope this hurts," which I believe comes from Jimmy right before the crash, is such a poignant statement. It's a simple line, but I can tell you from experience that the desire to hurt others when in a narcissistic rage is overwhelming. It's such a good line to sum up Jimmy's character in that moment. Luckily, in the real world, I had my friends and family there to catch me when I hit my lowest, even though I'd hurt them so many times. Jimmy probably could've used friends to force him into therapy (cough cough Curly cough cough)

A lot of early concept stuff was expression/pose brainstorming - there’s the classic six Webkinz emotions (which, I learned have been largely pared down to just four after a point! Since they got rid of Dr. Quack’s role, there’s no more “sick” expression and most ‘Kinz’ tired and sad expressions are the same! >:0 What’s the point of having an easily editable puppet with the spaghetti code intact that you have to put an image there AnyWay and not make a slightly different expression!! H’f) as well as the main Sakura poses - so if I’m already making up expressions, why no go a little further! :D

One of the expressions I definitely needed up top was Mischievous - working with a cat, that’s the only logical conclusion really. I think it’s funny that she swerves the compliment only to pay it right back as well lol

The ticklish expression is one I’m still going back and forth on! I’m half tempted to have it be somewhere between happy and angry - maybe a mood gradient, starting out just positive and slowly moving into “Hey stop! >:0″ if it’s too many times in a row? It’s a thought haha

Similarly so, messing with her ears - bothering your pets is a very important element of socialization (lol)

As seen above, I’d reallyyy like to figure a way to have a dual-visual mood system - both the ‘Kinz body language/expression/emotion and a more exact stat bar. I’m still chewing on this idea a bit, no pun intended lol. That and click-and-drag with an actual image you can drag around your screen, hm and hm! Much to think about. Her face here turned out cute and funny haha, helped me push the expression more comedic

Much better :) Webkinz already has some well-known food dialogue, my favourite is probably “Mmm to the mmmax!” haha

Each low-mood would have their own emotion tied to it, but what about somewhere in the middle? I like the idea of the ‘Kinz getting bored if they’re left alone for too long! And little paw taps, showing off her embroidered paw pad haha ♪

hey, y'all — so i know how random this is, but a while ago... i was thinking about how barton might react to dying because this man has been in a LOT more situations than the average person where he was near death. and the first thing that came to mind was that he would actually probably come to peace with it rather quickly — even though i know that'd likely be more a little unexpected coming from him. but IDK, i think i might've been onto something with it, though.

so UHHH like this post if you'd like for me to post an essay about why i think that / j (LMAO nooo, it wouldn't be a whole essay, but it would likely be a long meta... so like. if you do want more details and/or would be interested in seeing something like that, then i humbly invite y'all to like this post if you want to so that i know you are 👉👈 though there's no pressure OFC)

maybe it's to maintain a sense of tension & turmoil that would eventually reach an explosive peak, a sense of tug-of-war, a back-and-forth to hammer home the ideals they want to deliver and for the viewers to chew on, but although these arguments regarding hiroshi & his stance as a man torn between his loyalty for his country & the loyalty for his Filipino friends and lover is of course important, how they write these scenes & the points they present from this week alone is getting too repetitive...? literally the argument scenes from last night & tonight between adelina & hiroshi is basically the same; the ideas were the same, the dynamics were the same: the aggressive, radical adelina, bristling rage and fear over the injustices she's seen thus far, and the cautious, inspiriting hiroshi, all hopefulness and reassurance one moment as a lover, defensiveness and sternness as a japanese soldier in another. this debate will be ever-present ofc, it is one of the series' biggest conflicts, but it is unfortunately so easy to tell when it is a.) being pulled up as a main topic to move the plot along / be a necessary conflict for character development/introspection / be the conflict to deliver the morals & messages the writers want to send to their viewers, or b.) when it is being pulled up only for the drama and filler to pass the time. like watching the characters sit down to argue for 10 minutes, do other things for the plot for 2 minutes, then sit down again to argue for the next 20 minutes. lol.

hi I am still not normal about how we never get much of an epilogue for Emily and Corvo in the second game we are told how the rule turned out and that Emily is the beloved empress now but nothing beyond that and I get that the entire game is very much built on that I get that the first game we have close relationship with Emily and become fond of the staff that work with the Loyalists so we feel alone because we do not quite see eye to eye with our allies and all we have left is this little innocent child that sees Corvo as someone who can do no wrong in this world which is strongly contrasted with the second game where Emily (or Corvo) has few trusted allies that they can actually rely on and it feels like a group of almost-friends working to dismantle the conspiracy but at the very end of it all Emily is all alone, even her return to the Tower is so much more grim, her taking down Delilah, the entirety of Dunwall- it all feels so incredibly and thoroughly isolating, she is all Alone now, and maybe that's why it bothers me so much to see the story end so abrupty.

it would've been so, so poetic if both the first and the second game ended with Corvo and Emily embracing

The only thing I’m really looking forward to from the live action is being able to gossip about it with my mutuals. I don’t really have any other opinion, I mean… it looks cool! (Sokkas hair & zukos scar bother me but ehhhh what can I do?) But I’m an animation junky, I love my anime and my cartoons (bobs burgers beloved) so I don't particularly care for the “real people actors” taking over my cartoons but I’m totally chill about it honestly.

I will ABSOLUTELY be watching it and probably will form a more solid opinion after I actually watch the show.

after having what barton could only describe as a 'trying' couple of weeks, he was quite looking forward to being able to leave the place. it meant that he could unwind by going on a normal date with someone — though this wasn't their first time seeing each other. they'd meant upwards of about three months ago, because barton had volunteered to pay for their coffee when he heard her say she would have to leave without it due to not having her wallet. and after that, for a while, he didn't believe he'd ever see again.

but lo and behold... joanna had shown up at the same medical conference he was at several weeks later, and she'd gotten his attention. the rest was history from there as they talked practically all day as they seemed to really hit it off. so, barton had invited her to dinner the next week, and the rest was history as they say. though real life hardly had any happy endings unfortunately. and after overhearing joanna saying something barton believed he really wasn't supposed to hear, due to the incriminating nature of it, that day?

he immediately thought to confront her rather impulsively because that was like the straw that broke the camel's back for him. their relationship, from the beginning, had all but been a set-up as joanna was actually a C.I. as it turned out; or a criminal informant. someone who's job it was to find out information because they had committed a crime themselves and formed a deal to report back to the police with it to get leniency. which, as one might imagine, didn't bode over well with barton especially because he liked her. he liked joanna a lot, and so that rage the doctor always seemed to be carrying with him bubbled up to the surface before long.

barton remembered chasing her partially through the wooded area that he lived in after hitting joanna over the head. he also thought he'd grabbed the axe in his shed before doing so, and yelling at her about how he was able to envision something long-term with her but she ruined things — because if she hadn't been a 'rat,' barton would've never had a reason to hurt her. what barton didn't remember was how he'd ended up at sibyl's place which wasn't too far but wasn't close either. along with being completely smothered in her blood, as well as feeling a little bit like he was motion sick.

everything seemed to be going too fast and too slow at the same time as he left a bloody imprint on their door of where he'd knocked on it. barton's heart was thundering in his ears when they finally answered the door. he struggled to find words to say to sibyl, but something slipped out of his mouth eventually, ❝ ahh, i... i'm not sure why i came here - but i think i killed someone i cared about. and i don't even know what i did with their body. christ, i don't even know what i did with their body. ❞
