HI I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW LUFFY MET EVERYONE IN THE MERMAID AU

omgg it's pretty funny really! So you should know in this au is kind of set in a modern-ish au, Sea creatures are pretty normal in this world but they're treated differently, because y'know sea and water... Anyways heres the ones I thought out so far: Ace, Sabo and Luffy: So first off! Sabo is a brooding parasite, so he was dropped by the reef Ace was born in!! The two managed to hit off the moment they opened their eyes and considered each other as brothers. Luffy on the other hand was a late hatchling from his mother's clutter of eggs, so he was left alone to be free food for anyone who came by, but fortunately for him Ace and Sabo took pity on him and just considered him as their own (This is the reason why the three of them are different types of merfolk!) Shanks - So It started with young Ace, Sabo, and Luffy being hungry and because they're carnivorous they thought Shanks would be an easy meal, so they sent Sabo to lure in Shanks so they can maul him in the water!! But unfortunately for them Shanks is surprising adept at handling all kinds of mermaids (ESPECIALLY children/guppies) 😔 Coby - Coby was only fishing this time and by mere coincidence he fished up Luffy! He was quite shocked and scared because he accidentally hooked Luffy by his mouth and apologized before letting him free, but Luffy hitched a ride on his boat for awhile (much to Coby's reluctance) Zoro - Zoro is a merfolk being held at a beach that Coby n' Luffy managed to sail to. Zoro wasn't really bothered, mostly annoyed at the fact that he was put on display as a tourist attraction by beach officials and kept in a just a decently sized tank with not much stuff to do. Luffy saw this and broke him out because the tank seemed pretty terrible to stay in. Usopp - in this au Usopp is a mer! but an octopus like merfolk, he's pretty poisonous.. But unluckily for him Luffy is immune to most poisons in the ocean so Luffy tried to chase and eat him before hitting it off with him because Luffy knew Yassop (Usopp and Yassop surprisingly has a pretty decent relationship in this au because Yassop visits him and his mother from time to time!) Law - For some reason I thought about him and his crew being marine biologists and for some funny reason, Luffy swims by them during their scuba diving expeditions and just gets a headache because Luffy and his pod keeps messing around with their job XP

I'll answer this here too! When Ace, Sabo, and Luffy decided to split up and go on their seperate ways, Ace traveled through the oceans and spotted a ship! He thought it was one of those ships that kept merfolk captive because of its sheer size and many people, so he tried to beat them up Ace doesn't really have much of a good experience with humans except for Shanks and his team because while growing up the coral reef him and his brothers lived in was accidentally got bombed by fishermen using unethical fishing methods :( So when Ace saw the net behind Whitebeard's boat he was quite angry because it might accidentally go through a coral reef and break fishes' habitats. But when he did try to assassinate the Whitebeards, they seem to brush Ace off easily making him pretty mad. But then Ace finds out the Whitebeards actually clean up oceans and seas he starts to feel embarrassed and ashamed because he was accusing them of bad stuff and even cussed them out. But he did eventually manage to apologize and warm up to them!! The Whitebeards have a few merfolks on board! They're not held captive or anything they just stay around there and hang out, sometimes helping the team do research about other fish species and try to keep the ocean clean as possible

I love this sailboat!! I can imagine it looking so pretty! But I need to ask, what kind of sailboat is it??? Did you reference an actual real life one or did you make it up? Sorry I'm extremely curious X3

It's going better and oh my god I'm so proud of y/n! Throughout both of these chapters they're getting so much more comfortable and confident, I just wanna squeeze them and tell them how good they're doing!!!

Gregory is such a hero, so patient and understanding, and now with the secret out, their connection is so much stronger, I love it!!

The boys are doing a good job too, it's hard for them to not seem a little fast paced with the progress since they are the creatures y/n have been so afraid of their entire life. But they're so gentle and patient, they're doing their best, aah they're so lovable!! If they weren't so huge I'd wrap my arms around both of them and spin them around!

The island Sun takes y/n to! I wanna be there with him so bad!! And the gentle way he encourages y/n to get underwater and then y/n being comfortable enough to do it again!? AAAAAH MY HEART!!!!

Gregory and Freddy!! Gosh Freddy is perfect! Also oh lord I'm trying to imagine what he'd look like (more like how I'd draw him, he'd be such a creature pfkfjd)

Idk why but I felt something bad was gonna happen as I Moon went hunting in the dream. I was SO EXCITED for a hunt, but part of me was afraid. Oh god I hate that I was right.

Circus baby!!?!? So incredibly unexpected but my gosh I love what you did with her design!! She's the kraken and I LOVE IT!! (I might be enjoying her design a little too much actually, don't mind me as I pick up my pen)

Moon and Sun can be terrifying when they want to be, hell yeaaaa!!! There's the monster fight I've been waiting for!! But oh no MOON NOOOO!!!! D':

AaaaaAAAAA!!! Baby!! They're so happy to be called baby again! The way they vibrate and chirp in delight AAAA my heart!!

Again I'm so happy that y/n and Gregory have each other through this, they're both suffering now but at least they have each other..

That ending to chapter 5 has me rattling you so hard Naff. You really like causing suffering huh? I really hope all that didn't undo too much of y/n's progress,, it just got worse and worse.

Such a good cliffhanger tho! I applaud you for not holding back!! Your writing can turn so dark and sinister in seconds, it's wonderful!

Ahh, thank you so much! I really appreciate that 🥺❤️❤️❤️. The "sweetheart" x3 was so fun to write cause I could literally hear him saying it in my head, lmao. I'm so happy to know he feels like a real three-dimensional character especially since I just find his character interesting but I don't love him in the way I love someone Levi if that makes sense. And YES! I am so glad I can portray Zeke's complexities, allowing him to seem soft but he's not good because he's soft. He's flawed! And something about that is just so fun to write. I appreciate this feedback more than I can express! As for a part 2, I no longer write for Eren anymore and haven't in a long time and I have no plans to. But a part 2 for Zeke or just more Zeke content in general is a definite maybe! :3 Ty for sending in this ask and for reading, I am so happy you liked it!!

Huhu! I'm back!

I wanted to write to you much earlier, but my work didn't leave me time for it. I'm sorry.. X3

And I hope it's okay if I send this text via a submit post, because I've written too much again. Woopsie. XD

Still.. this chapter of 'in between', wow. Just. Wow.

If there's one thing I love, it's finding out more about my favorite characters. So this was just gorgeous! I enjoyed every single word and that's why I love your 4 guys so much! 🧡

These 4 skeles are.. special and unique. They come from well-known AU's and I also recognize certain characteristics that make these AU's, but they still give me the feeling that they are completely independent characters, with their unique characters, likes, dislikes and many more! Especially it's the little things that make them what they are and that's what I find so fascinating about your characters! ^^

This is probably also the reason why I am happy about every little detail that you reveal about your 4 skeles and I am annoyed in an absolutely positive sense every time you write, some details you only reveal later! XD

It's like getting to know they in person. This gives me a lot of joy and unbelievable fun, which is why I am such a big fan of you and your works! I even read the tags carefully. ;3

Even if I have to admit that I haven't gotten through all of your fanfiction yet due to a lack of time. Shame on me. ^^" But I promise you that I will definitely make up for this!

I also read that you currently have writer's block. I'm really sorry to hear that. Among other things, I am also a creator and I know only too well what it feels like.

Do you know what helps me especially in such moments?

On such days I love to go for a walk in the nature. It can be such a source of inspiration. But it especially helps me to clear my mind again. I think of something beautiful and concentrate entirely on the nature and sometimes the ideas come by themselves.

Maybe that will help you too? Of course I can't guarantee that it will work, but somehow I just want to try to help you.

I hope you will soon overcome your writer's block and please give yourself as much time to write as you need. I am sure that sooner or later you will make it and then it will be worth the wait! I am convinced of that! =3

1. What is your favorite DC movie and why? And least favorite?

Justice League vs. Teen Titans! Because I’m simply biased as hell.

To ALL of its elements! Azarath! In a MOVIE! Arella’s story got RECOGNIZEd– even ANIMATED! It gave Raven’s gem a BACKSTORY! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted out of a Teen Titans animation.

(Azarath being animated in a movie fulfilled my SOUL, you have NO fucking idea. It was AMAZING. And so well animated too? So pretty? So peaceful? So nice to look at? Holy god, I want ten thousand hours of documentaries on that place??? legitimate tears in my eyes when we saw it. honestly, it was just… it was so good.)

Not to mention, while the production value was Kinda Eh, the writing was really clever and the Moments (silly, fun, heartfelt, freaky, dramatic) were all really well done. It captured the “Heart” of those feelings, emotive and raw and honest. I actually enjoyed the fun moments. Myself. And wasn’t just “distantly admiring people being happy”. Do you know how much of an ACCOMPLISHMENT that is?

The music was really cool. Not to reveal my Immortal Inner Emo Kid. But “Down to Nothing” is a really good song. (One of my only problems with this movie is that it was shoddily edited in the scene, and it’s a shame, because it really is a good song… {lD it was kinda my anthem for a long, long time after this movie. “Help me: believe in something, cuz I am: broken, I’m down to nothing. And it’s just so hard to be this way, but it’s just as hard to change. So: help me, believe in sooomethiiing….”)

(Because it’s in this movie, I grin a bit whenever Ciaran randomly shuffles it up. But also because I just really like the song itself.)

Also really cool: Trigon was an abusive asshole. Ultra mega props for that element; not just making him a Bad Guy because he’s Powerful and Wants to Rule the World, but legitimately showing that he was a BAD “GUY” *and* a Bad Parent.

Also nice, Damian felt less shoehorned in than Certain Other Really Recent Robins were in the comics…. (The reason for that may have been glossed over and a touch cliche, but it worked for the movie. It did what it needed to, nothing more and nothing less.)

Good thing too, because Damian being A Kid was really nice to see. (Raven too, let’s be real. Those kids need more “fun” in their lives.) Bond the children! BOND THEM, GODDAMN IT. That’s what any good Teen Titans story really needs; friends who are a FAMILY. They love each other, even if it’s hard-earned and hard-kept.

Focused on the PEOPLE, and their WELL-BEING, just as much as (if not MORESO!) than “ohshit, Big Bad Guy to deal with here”.

(the rest is under a cut, because godDAMN. I got rambly once I started talking about Raven.)

And perhaps most important of all to me: Raven’s characterization was amazing. Truly a masterpiece. Any time you’ve got a comic character with 7 different tones and 3-4 Literal Deaths and like 28 different writers having handled her: It takes a LOT of work to pick and choose what you want to do with them. It takes a lot of WISDOM and even prowess to triangulate your Own Characterization between such dramatic differences. Raven has been cold and distant; warm and soft; sharp and bitter; lost and clueless; wise and knowledgeable; she’s a very LAYERED and COMPLEX character even in each individual VERSION.

And the movie portrayed so many of her key characteristics so wonderfully. It’s a very “complete” picture of my absolutely Iconic Favorite Character, it encompasses so much of my Favorite Parts of her throughout her entire history, and it was just such a delight to experience. I, in my unpopular opinion (at least among my contemporary Cartoon-First Generation of Teen Titans Fans), actually really liked her voice actress, too? So subtle. So snarky. So soft, even with its edge of attitude. It was such a good fit for such a good incarnation!

And then there’s the fact that they included Jaime (who does well on his own, but honestly always seemed like a natural fit to the team), Kori (a Key Titan, let’s be honest), and even Gar (because his playfulness is a key part of Whole-Team Characterization too honestly; it wouldn’t be the same without him). It was a good setup, even with the comics this continuity’s based on being totally cracked.

And Cyborg showed up. Despite working “in the big Leagues” now. Thanks for throwing us that bone, at least. lD

And Damian? They did a great job of giving him character developement. Much needed. Good shit. If he can’t be with Dick!Bats in this verse (and I deeply prefer Dick as Nightwing anyways), that’s a really good fit for him. Learning to be human. Getting comfortable with Some Normalcy. Good and relateable.

That movie was just. Ahhh. SO Good. X3 As a Teen Titans fan especially, but also just as a person who likes a good Team Becoming Family story.

I love it. It has its caveats, but none of them dampen my obnoxiously heartfelt love for this thing.

All that bias aside though, my other favorite DC movie is definitely Wonder Woman. Hands down. Undoubtedly, no contest, no holds bar. It was a phenomenally well-told story with a lot of wit and compelling characters that used absolutely MASTERFUL rising action, and felt GENUINE. It was told from the heart as well as the camera, and it was told beautifully. Smoothly. It felt godly and human all at once. I can’t explain it very well, but it was genuinely one of the best movies I have ever seen.

I never got very into Wonder Woman, but from what I know of the 80’s and the Really Recent comics: It also captured her backstory, her personality, and her Style of Heroism really well. But even without being very familiar with her as a character? It’s a gorgeously well-done movie.

( Note: I still haven’t seen Justice League yet, but from what I’ve heard, I’ll probably end up liking that one too.)

Least favorite? I don’t know, honestly.

(My least favorite superhero movie is that one Marvel one with Vision, because I literally fell asleep while watching it. That’s the first time in my entire life I’ve fallen asleep while watching ANYTHING.)

But for DC, even the silly obnoxiously-radioactive-colored Batman and Robin has its place in history.

Can I just say, maybe… “the Injustice: Gods Among Us cutscenes”?- raven’s voice really grates my nerves, and not even in a Fun Creepy Way.- Whose idea was it to have SUPERMAN go evil? Like? ?? Who thought that was in any way a reasonable idea. - the story in that game felt really cobbled together. The comics are a lot more interesting, fun, and though there’s a lot of, like, Random Occurrences that seem to happen Exclusively For The Drama, in the game there are a lot of ill-explained things and general Random Chaos. Not my kinda story.

3. Which DC character should be introduced in movies/shows? Or have a movie/show of their own?

I mean. My automatic response is “Raven”, but I only ever want to see that if it’s being done right. The way CW wanted to do it kinda ripped the heart of everything I know/love about her to shreds. (”Relateable normal teen girl sudden has powers”? What? What??? That’s literally NONE of Raven’s backstory, shoo. Begone. Good riddance.)

That aside, I’d honestly probably watch the HELL out of a Nightwing show. Or movie. Just LET DICK BE HIMSELF. Without being attached at the history AND HIP to Bruce!

Or Death? or Sandman? I don’t know how well they’d translate to TV; Nightwing would certainly be the safer bet. Neil Gaiman’s writing is half as great as it is because of the WRITING. The style. The narrations… But, I mean: Coraline was just wonderful~ So why not a Sandman movie, too? Given the right director, and the right special effects team…?

(Constantine would’ve been next on my list, for a better movie anyway. but he’s already getting some decent recognition. So whoop whoop. Good shit. Nice Decision, DC. I Approve.)

10. Which DC character portrayal do you think is better in the comics than in the movies?

Batman. By far.

I’m just sick of all this manpain and gritty, utterly-unyielding violence, and… politics? Where’s the humanity?

Aren’t these writers forgetting that he’s someone who has suffered, and is doing all this, not just to beat up bad guys and look cool, but to save others from what theyd do? To HELP PEOPLE, not to growl like a man-tiger and punch things?

You can be badass and still have a heart, you know. Comics!Bruce does. (Most of the time.) And that’s a big part of why I like reading Batman comics so much.

And on that note, the conspicuous lack of Robins in (most) movies is an insult to comic history. Batman’s family-seeking and protect-the-children tendancies make for a much more interesting franchise, honestly. Give us a colorful cast! (Literally!) Give us diversity! Give us more stories with more characters so it has more facets than just “some guy wants to kill people; can’t have that”!)

As a sidenote: what I’ve seen of Gotham, it’s doing a really good job of encapsulating his Heroic Tendencies as well as his “sense of Duty” to Gotham and its people, while keeping him human AND super cool. That’s an important balance.

2017

While this year has been hard for me (one of many) and ends with me still not moving forward and escaping my situation, there have been some good things to highlight. Thank you for the friends I’ve known for 10+ years, though several fandoms. I won’t be able to name you all, but I know you’re there, and I don’t want you to think I’ve forgotten you. Roller Coaster Poetry.

Before I begin I’d like to present a short list of things that I consider poems:

A long list of creative synonyms for dildos.

Several emojis printed out on A4 shown to an audience in succession.

A children’s story about sapient talking vegetables getting eaten alive by locusts and learning about Edgar Allen Poe.

A teen idol meets mutated, disfigured Disney characters languishing upon a polluted shore after being churned through the child star machine. 

A lovely man asks you questions whilst he plays soothing guitar.

A title with silence/a short sentence as a punchline (x3).

A description of how much the author wishes to fuck a trifle.

A collaboration with a Donald Trump speech on what America will and won’t do.

That being said I get very fussy about what is and isn’t a poem. I get very fussy about a lot of things, in all fairness. I complain when poets don’t know how to write a sonnet, I complain when all they write is sonnets, I complain when kigo aren’t used in haiku, I complain when people get sniffy about comedic haiku or sci-fi-ku, I get uppity about randomly selected judges at slams, I get uppity about the running order, I fidget in my seat when it gets near the end of an open mic night and my slot hasn’t turned up and I get convinced they have forgotten me and came all this way on the x39 for nought. My opinion can easily be dismissed in many ways, which is why it is fair to ignore me when I say a poem isn’t a poem.

Why wouldn’t a poem be a poem? Naturally, when it is a roller coaster. Roller coasters are thrill rides that travel in a loop, in which your limbs must be kept within at all times. A poem is a roller coaster when it offers pretty sights, the chance to go ooh and ahh, something vaguely profound and takes you back to the place you started. They do not communicate, they reach a climax and clean up afterwards as if it never happened (which takes away half the fun as far as I am concerned.)

It's not as if a rollercoaster is forgettable, or even unenjoyable! I enjoy a lot of roller coaster poems, they are fun to sit through and to listen to. (Some of my best friends are roller coasters!) But they do not change the world or leave someone staring into the floor, they might leave you a bit shaken the first time, but it's not something you leave silent, grinning, buzzing or welling up, it is something you run back in to and say “again again!!” A hard hitting poem isn’t something that you necessarily want to hear again, or at the very least you need to be in the right mindset to listen to. A great poem isn’t necessarily always pleasing.

They make usually make you laugh, gaze up dreamily in wonder or contain multiple click-worthy lines, but I have been made to cry by rollercoasters. I have also heard them labelled as “wanking on stage” ala Lucy English when it comes to the longer more tragic pieces. I don’t think this is necessarily negative; sometimes you want to read a self-indulgent poem because it will help you recover, grow, learn, express yourself, or surround yourself with positivity, wanking is good for your well being, after all. But it is limited in what it can say, because wanking is a conversation between your hands and your privates, and that totals to one person no matter what you get off to these days.

Ultimately I think a poem is something people can take away from, and it should not be something that you have to sit and think about what it means or what you can learn from it. It a heartfelt pop-up ad that flashes in your brain, maybe not with words but with a feeling that tweaks you.

And the whole reason I bring this up is due to the fact that poetry does have its roots in something more than entertainment and wooing judges at slams. It’s spoken word for a reason; its a very literal response to artists who feel they had no voice or couldn’t speak in the way poetry traditionally expected them to. And if you take away the elements of the political, the opinionated and the emotions that counter what society has wrought on us, then it is neutering its original intent. 

All of the above is pearl-clutching, of course, poetry by attrition will splinter into new ground. And I don’t believe this way of approaching poems is useful for everyone. For me, it allows my brain to shove things in supposedly tidy corners which are really teetering stacks of fragile nonsense, which is what my brain loves to do. But largely, it helps me interrogate my own poetry and trim it into something more meaningful. It helps me critique the voices of the poets I listen to and take what their experiences into the world around me.

This doesn’t mean you can’t take away anything from something like this:

I have probably seen this poem upwards of five times on stage, and I still laugh hard every single time. And that’s something to take away, the joy of laughing at a squeaky-voiced dragonfly with a lust for the blood of Scandinavians and the fact they spelt Connor’s name wrong. That’s not nothing. In fact, this kind of poetry is very accessible, maybe even for kids and teenagers (aside from, y’know, penis and bloodlust.) That avenue of allowing younger audiences to explore spoken word hasn’t been explored until recently. The style of the poems are unique, short poems are easier to listen to. They are informed by the poet’s experience, you can’t deny that, imaginary dragonfly or not.

A lot of people get turned off by hoity-toity poetry which is read fast with ricocheting internal rhyme and rhythm they might not keep up with or poetry that covers deep complex subjects and makes poets around them go “Mmmmmmm...” that they might not get or, heaven forbid, care about. There aren’t always spare fucks, we are all guilty of this. But this fact leads us back to poetry we can walk away from that speaks to us, our experiences alone don’t always allow for pure empathy if we don’t communicate with them as humans.

I think we should keep in mind what we want to bring to a stage would tell us a lot about what an audience would take away. And therefore it becomes less about contents and more about mindset. And in that mindset becomes awareness for other people, and voila, conversation.

Hi Onisuu, hope you're having a pleasant day/noon/evening. I was wondering if you had any advice on how to get exposure as an artist. I want to put my name out there, but it seems to be verrrrry slow process... Any way to get faster results?

Hiya! ^^ Hmm, I can’t guarantee faster results (been drawing and sharing my art online for 13 years now) but I’ll share what I did when I started out. :)In 2004, I joined an avatar community called gaiaonline.com and it’s basically a forum based community. There’s a section specifically for art freebies so I made a thread and offered free art (I made other threads as well but this was the main one). And I genuinely enjoyed drawing free art for people. It was fun to see their reactions when they received the art, and also I was getting my practice with drawing faster and refining my style of drawing and colouring.The avatars on that site made for good drawing subjects and I always added a little flair/re-interpretation of what was shown on the pixellated characters. And people began to see my thread grow and grow (It got almost 14,000 pages long and had 10 posts per page lmao). I didn’t just draw for people. I also interacted with them, talked to them about their day, got to know people over time. Together, we kept the thread active and more people came in and I kept drawing freebies. Over a couple years, I drew over 1000 pictures -- some were really doodlely and others had more effort, like big group pics :) While aiming to give people surprises, gifts, and entertaining myself as well, I started being recognized by more people. I also used join.me to stream while I drew art commissions and personal arts and I think that really helped me connect with the people who were interested in my art. ^^ I could interact with them so freely in real-time. (Sadly, I can’t stream anymore because my computer is too old/too slow to keep up anymore T- T). I stopped playing on gaia in 2015 XD I feel too old for it now T w T but I have good memories on there.

Other than giving out free art and building a positive reputation, I also indulged in drawing fanart of things I loveeee (*cough* 95% Link, and other LoZ characters), designing humanized-versions of pokemon and legend of zelda monsters, and making up my own characters and figuring out a world for them. It’s so delightful when people are interested in what you love. *-* )) Over time (ahh, see? it’s gonna take time!) I had more followers and views on my artwork. And even during times of inactivity (no new posts) people are still interacting with my older works. It’s mind-blowing to me every day. ^w^ 

I think it’s important to give people a reason to support you. Be interactive (respond to comments, questions), interested (in others - what they do, their likes/dislikes, goals...they are people too!), and genuine (draw what you like and the way you like). You have to make yourself identifiable and stand out from the crowd, as cliché as that sounds, but people remember what stands out, not what’s the same as everything else.

One more thing is ... you are not an island. * o *You can show other people support, comment on their artworks, and share their art with others as well. Tumblr makes sharing art so easy with the reblog button ^_^ I feel like a part of the art community when I can talk with other artists or at least show them my appreciation for their art X3 Gah, after writing all that, I looked back at your original question about getting more exposure and I fear I didn’t accomplish that. I’m sorry! For myself I used a long and slow method but I’m happy with what I accomplished over all these years :3

Haha, I’ve actually not read a Kingdom Hearts fanfic, but… I’ve been a big fan of Kdh for a long time though, at least over or around ten years now. It has been my oldest fandom and also the fandom I’ve been most involved in, aside from Undertale. 

Undertale was the first fanfic to introduce me to the concept of internet fandoms, tumblr and fanfics… but I was really hyped for kdh, even if I didn’t really have many to share my interest with. I’m guessing this anon has been on my second blog Jummiet?Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, it was quite hard to write about myself and how I would react in this situation to be honest, but it was a fun challenge. Thank you! ^^

Darkness. I felt numb to what was happening around me. Falling darker, yet darker into darkness was a nice feeling. No responsibilities, no thoughts, just sleep. The darkness gave me comfort and warmth, protecting me from everything ba- huh?

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulders and I lazily rubbed my itching eyes. As lights and colors came back to my vision, I was stockily struck awake when I saw who was infront of me. 

Standing there was a skeleton in a white plate battle body costume with gold trim. on his face were a funny smile plasters and his eyes seemed to sparkle with happiness. I quickly got up on my feet. 

“P-Papyrus?“ 

Somehow hearing his own name made him light up even more. “NYEHEHE!! he happily cried out. “IT WOULD SEEM YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD OF ME, HUMAN! I WAS AFRAID WHEN I FOUND YOU HERE JUST LAYING AROUND, BUT I AM HAPPY I FOUND YOU!!”

“huh?” I quickly checked my surrounding and made little squee sounds when I saw the location - I was in Traverse Town, in the same spot Sora woke up in in the first Kingdom heart game!

I started jumping with joy - my two favorite games mashed together, how could things get any better than that?

I quickly took the hand of the confused, yet really excited skeleton.

“C'mon!” I told him and pointed toward that path I knew would lead to the city square. “Let’s check out this place together!" 

"WELL, STRANGE HUMAN! YOU CAN’T SPELL PREPARED WITHOUT SEVERAL LETTERS FROM MY NAME!”

I smiled back at him and we started walking, letting our hearts be our guiding keys.

Honestly, my advice as to how to lose the fear of speaking in another language is that people largely don’t mind it if you don’t speak it perfectly and if they do, they’re usually assholes whose opinion you shouldn’t take into account. Besides, the more you do it, the more you’ll absorb things like grammar and slang and things will get easier and easier!

I remember when I first started out venturing in English speaking websites as a teenager. My grammar… wasn’t the best out there and it was back in the “lol waffles phear meh x3” days so my first attempts at slang in were certainly a bit clumsy, heh, but looking back, even with little errors here and there, I made myself clear enough to make fandom friends and have fun and that’s what matters in the end! I’m certain that, if I had shied away from speaking to people back then, I wouldn’t be as comfortable as I am with English these days.
