warnings: mention of parental death -- general warnings going forward: typical 18+ content (drinking, swearing, smut, the works), me not knowing anything about college - this is my ideal world where everything works how I want it to not how it probably is :) (prob should mention this is not an au)
You relaxed as you stood in the aisle of the dimly-lit bookstore, taking in a deep breath of that new book smell and coffee from the in-house cafe, a smell so recognizable you almost felt the urge to cry as you reminisced. Your fingers nimbly opened a book, eyes scanning the description hidden within but you weren’t really absorbing the words so you closed it with a soft thud and slid it back onto the shelf. You continued to make your way through the store, thoughts as scattered as your approach to book shopping tonight but that was because you weren’t really shopping at all.
You weren’t even entirely sure why you’d come in, the comfort of your old college hangout called out to offer solace on your drive home and you couldn’t resist. You felt like the walls were caving in and to be standing in such a meaningful place, looking the same as it ever did, wrapped you in a sense of security. Your guard was beginning to drop for what felt like the first time in years and it was in that exact moment that you bumped into a familiar stranger, their voice raising the hairs on the back of your neck and flooding you with memories of a different time.
“Shit, I’m so sorry, let me help you…”
“Shit, my bad. Let me get that,” the handsome stranger that had just walked straight into you quickly knelt to pick up the books you’d both dropped. You felt your cheeks flush as you suddenly felt embarrassed, your wits already weren’t about you this morning and here you were colliding into the solid man currently gathering up your belongings in a perfectly fitted button up with a mustache that shouldn’t have worked and beautiful brown eyes.
“That’s alright, everyone needs a little jolt to keep them awake in the mornings,” you replied easily. You wouldn’t have noticed if you weren’t checking him out, and it only made you flush further as he handed you your things, “Professor Bradshaw?” you asked, gesturing to the ID badge pinned to his pants and he nodded. “Weird coincidence, I was actually on my way to introduce myself to you,” you said before giving him your name, trying to put your earlier thoughts out of your head as his warm hand wrapped around yours to shake.
“Ah, yes… you applied to be my teaching assistant,” he said and you nodded.
“Figured it would be harder to tell me no if I came to pitch myself in person,” you chuckled.
“I take it you haven’t checked your email yet this morning?” he asked and you gave him a confused look. “Save the elevator pitch, I was inviting you to coffee to get to know you better and go over expectations.”
“Expectations? Does that mean I got it?” you asked, excitement palpable. “I thought you only accepted students who had taken your class before?”
“Decided to make an exception for you,” he replied with an easy smile. “Does three work for you? Here?”
You nodded, “absolutely, I’ll see you then. I promise you won’t regret this, Professor Bradshaw.”
“Please, call me Bradley.”
“Professor Bradshaw,” you said with a smirk as he looked up at you, and he quickly fumbled with the books before standing to give you a proper once over.
“Professor,” he sighed, “you know I hate that.”
“I know,” you responded. “Nice to see that this is still your go-to spot.”
“Old habits die hard,” he chuckled, “are you back home because of your parents?” he asked and you nodded, and you didn’t miss the solemn expression that passed over his features before he quickly corrected it. “I’m so sorry, Dove.”
You smiled softly, “haven’t heard that name in a while,” you replied, dodging past his condolences entirely.
“Sometimes I forget it’s not actually your name,” he chuckled. “Half expect the banner at the bottom of the screen to say Dove and I’m always shocked when it doesn’t.”
“You’ve been watching?” you asked, a slight blush creeping up your cheeks.
“Of course I have,” he replied as if it would have been absurd for him not to. You lapsed into comfortable silence as the two of you drank each other in, noting what had changed and what had stayed the same… you had to keep from squinting at him because he looked the same as he did four years ago, maybe the lines around his eyes were a little deeper when he smiled but it was the only indication that any time had passed at all.
You were taller, which he couldn’t reconcile until he glanced down and saw the stilettos on your feet, sharp and black and perfectly matching the black suit vest and jeans you wore. Your style was the same, classic and a little academic with an edge, only now it seemed more elevated, you seemed more elevated.
“How long have you been in town?” he finally asked.
“Only a few days,” you answered, “feel like my head is spinning with how unchanged everything is… and this certainly isn’t helping my deja vu,” you chuckled.
“If I remember correctly this is right about the same spot you ran into me all those years ago,” he said, looking around and you gave him an incredulous look.
“Me? It was you who ran into me, just like you did a few minutes ago,” you said through a laugh and he shrugged.
“He said she said,” he replied as you shook your head. “Well, how long are you here for?”
“Indefinitely, I’m afraid,” you said and he gave you a confused look. “Dealing with typical dead parents stuff, turns out there’s a lot more to it than one would think.”
He nodded in understanding, “yeah, no one prepares you for all the paperwork.”
“That and they were too busy to keep up on the house… I always knew it needed some love but I’ve got a contractor telling me it basically needs a top to bottom renovation,” you sighed. “But hey, it’s a nice distraction from Capitol Hill.”
“You’re not rushing to get back?”
“God no, if I even go back at all,” you said with a soft laugh and now he was really surprised. “Oh,” you said, suddenly a little self conscious about how much you’d already said in this bookstore aisle, “I’m keeping you.”
He shook his head, “you’re not. It’s not everyday I run into my favorite student,” he said and you couldn’t help but flush.
“Still? Guess I set the bar too high,” you teased and he nodded.
“If only you knew,” he chuckled. “I would love to see you again though, actually catch up if you have any free time?”
You smiled as you fished your phone out of your bag, “I would love that,” you said as you exchanged phones to input your numbers.
“I’ll text you,” he said and you were about to part ways but you were unsure of how to do so… you didn’t want to simply walk away, but you didn’t know if a handshake were too formal or a hug too personal, but he made the decision for you, already seeing the gears turning in your head as he opened his arms subtly and you softly laughed as you stepped in, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “It really is good to see you, Dove.”
“You too, Rooster,” you replied and he gave you a squeeze before letting you go as he laughed.
“Still regret telling you that.”
“What? You can use my callsign but I can’t use yours?” you asked with a smirk as you started walking backwards away from him.
“You don’t have a callsign!”
“Then what’s Dove?” you retorted and he didn’t have an answer, and so you gave him a soft nod as you turned for the register, and as you checked out you were unable to keep the smile off your face. Everything about returning home had been jarring, but not this… not him. Your favorite professor, your mentor, maybe even your friend towards the end of your working relationship. Your mind had been reeling as you tried to piece together what life would be like now with your career up in the air and your parents gone, and for the first time in weeks you felt like maybe this trip home wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

Welcome to the Resistance
Poe Dameron x fem!recruitReader
Dead dove do not eat - you'll get exactly what's in the tags!
Tags: 18+!! smut, p in v, semi-public sex, dominant Poe.
The Corvette carrying the recruits landed, you're a new addition to the Resistance, wanting to be a Pilot. Stepping out, the other recruits already had their orders, only you stood there for a few seconds before you heard someone approach.
"Hey, recruit, over here!"
as you turned you saw Commander Poe Dameron walking up to you. You already saw him on all the Resistance propaganda posters so you immediately recognized him.
"So, you're the newbie wanting to become a pilot?" he asked and extended his hand for a quick handshake. "Yeah, that's right." you nodded.
"Great! Now let's get you settled in. Follow me." Poe started walking and you followed.
The two of you walked quietly for a moment before Poe decided to break the silence, "Leia sent you to me, right?" he asked.
"Yes, she told me you're the Resistance's best pilot so it would only make sense."
"That's because she knows exactly you will be in good hands." Poe grinned at you making you chuckle in response.
Poe lead you towards a section near the hangar specifically for recruits, he stood infront of the door and opened it, "Look for the table with your name on it. There is everything you need."
You stepped inside, the area was dimly lit, you looked for the table with your name on it and started getting ready.
Just as you finished putting on your orange flight suit, you heard the door slide open behind you. You thought nothing of it and bent down to secure the boots.
"There you are." you heard a voice, it sounded familiar to you and you quickly realized you're the only one left inside the room.
Before you could react, a pair of hands grabbed you by the waist and pulled you flush against someone, making you feel the bulge against your butt. You gasped and quickly stood up right and turned your head to look back, "Commander Dameron?" you asked, the dim light hid the cocky grin on his face.
"Are you ready?" Poe asked as you felt him lean in towards your neck and placed a kiss on your skin.
"Where is General Leia?" you asked, nervous from his intimate advances towards you.
Poe quickly shushed you, placing a finger on your lips, "Ah, ah. Shush. Not another word of Leia, you belong to me now. Understood?"
All you could respond with was a weak "yes" while Poe rubbed his hard-on against your ass.
"Good. Now I'm going to get you familiar with me." his hand moved towards the zipper of your flight suit, unzipping slowly, making you shiver slightly as the chill air hit your exposed skin.
Your flight suit was soon pooling around your feet, the only remaining clothing were your bra, panties and the black tank top.
"Bend over." Poe ordered lowly.
"What?" you asked, unsure if you heard him correctly.
Poe leaned in close, his breath hot against your ear "I said. Bend. Over." he whispered into your ear.
Slowly, you did as he said, placing your hands on the surface for support and bending down.
"Don't worry, I will prepare you nicely for what's to come, honey."
he pushed your panties aside and slowly ran his fingers along your folds, making you arch your back and moan loudly.
"You gotta stay quiet for me, sweetheart." Poe leaned down close to your ear.
You heard the zipper of his pants and a bit of clothes rustling. The next thing you felt were two of his fingers slowly entering your wet entrance, stretching and pumping in and out of you, preparing you for his cock.
"Fuck you're so wet. Already being needy for me, ain't you?"
As his fingers did their work inside you and your gasps turned into high pitched whimpers Poe slowly removed his fingers and replaced them with his thick cock.
His cock slid in easily, you were already dripping wet from his fingers. Poe groaned and his hips buckled as he felt your tight pussy around him.
"You have such a tight little pussy. But don't worry, I will take care of it." he started to move slowly at first to let you adjust to his size, both hands gripped your waist as he continued to thrust into you.
"I can already tell I will enjoy having you in my squadron, baby." his thrusts became faster and harder, making your moans become louder.
"Didn't I tell you to stay quiet, honey? You just can't help it, hmm? My cock just feels too good for your tight little cunt, doesn't it?"
-
Poe's breath became ragged as he felt your cunt squeezing him, he knew your orgasm was close. And so was his.
"Mm, honey, you're taking me so fucking well. You're going to cum all over your Commander's cock." he groaned and his thrusts became frantic.
Soon your orgasm washed over you, your pussy fluttered around his cock. Feeling your cunt milking his cock, Poe lost all self control, burying his whole girth inside you, groaning and painting your walls white with his thick cum.
Poe collapsed onto your back, breathing heavily from his intense orgasm. He held himself inside you for a moment, then slowly pulled out and cleaned you up with a nearby rag. He cleaned himself up and put his now soft cock back inside his pants.
He gave your ass a gentle squeeze and zipped up.
"Get dressed and meet me at the hangar. There I will get you familiar with the X-Wing's cockpit."
you couldn't help but think if he means real business now or more encounters like this.
-
With that Poe left the room, leaving you exhausted but satisfied from the sudden encounter.

My Heart Seeks Yours
Poe Dameron x fem! reader
Summary: You and Poe were best friends. You confessed your feelings for him and he rejected you. After running away and spending years apart, you are reunited when he joins the Resistance.
Author's Note: Nothing, really... it's angsty. Actually I lied, there is one warning, and that's the fact that this may never be finished. So it may be an angsty cliffhanger forever, sorry. Also? Bless @its-the-darkest-timeline for liking my question of if this was even wanted- thanks bb

Growing up on Yavin 4 with Poe Dameron had made you wild.
Running spice on Kajimi with Poe Dameron had made you reckless.
Working your way up to Colonel in the Resistance without Poe Dameron had made you disciplined. And you had done it all on your own. You had left Poe in the Thieves’ Quarter one night without a word and hadn’t looked back. If your heart yearned for someone you knew you couldn’t have, well, that was nobody’s business.
It had been years since you had seen or even heard about Poe. And frankly, that was fine by you. It didn’t mean you thought about him any less, but one could dream.
Someone cleared their throat and broke you out of your thoughts. You looked up from your datapad to see Lieutenant Connix. “Colonel, the General has requested an audience. There is a new squadron of recruits from the New Republic.”
“Pilots?” you asked her with a sigh.
Kaydel smirked back at you. “Pilots.”
The General looked up from the reports she was focused on when you entered high command.
“Oh, good, I’m glad you’re here. I’m sure the Lieutenant filled you in on the new squadron. I want you to take them under your wing. Particularly their leader. He is rash, but passionate. We could certainly use some passion.”
“Yes, General.”
She sent a soft smile your way. “How many times do I have to tell you to call me Leia, dear?”
“One more time, ma’am.”
Her eyebrows raised, but she continued with another soft smile and a shake of her head. “The commander is a phenomenal pilot. I’ve heard he might even be better than you, Colonel.”
You huffed out a laugh, “We’ll see about that, ma’am.”
She hummed and reached out to pat your arm. “I’m sure you will. He’s the son of Shara Bey.”
Dread settled in your stomach. “Shara Bey? Really.” Your voice cracked in the middle of her name, but Leia didn’t mention it.
“Oh, yes. I’m sure you know she led the defense on Naboo and helped my brother with a Jedi errand before she retired. I think she actually settled on your home planet.”
“Ah, yes ma’am. Yavin 4. I knew Mrs. Dameron before… you know. We were neighbors. She’s who taught me to fly.”
Leia’s eyes lit up. “Then you know Poe already. Sometimes the galaxy feels much smaller than it is, doesn’t it?”
“It certainly can.”
“Well, enjoy this little reunion.” With a wave of her hand, she dismissed you to the flight deck.
Faced with seeing the man who once knew you best, your mind was in a panic. The memories of the night you left had been on a constant loop since Leia had said he was here.
He had come into your room gushing about one of the other runners- the leader’s daughter.
“She’s incredible. She really is. I think I could probably love her.”
Any time Poe would speak to you about Zorii, your stomach tied up in knots, and this time was no exception. You had come to terms that he might mean more to you than friends, but in that moment, you actually felt your heart break.
You plastered on your best smile, even though you knew he’d be able to see right through it.
“Good for you, bud. Do you know how she feels?”
His eyes were narrowed and he gave you a skeptical look. “I know she likes me.”
Your breath caught in your throat but you powered through. You gave his arm a light punch. “How could she not? You’re Poe kriffing Dameron!”
“What’s wrong?”
With your best noncommittal shrug, you got up from your bed that the two of you were sitting on. “Why would something be wrong, Poe?”
“I don’t know, why would something be wrong?”
You scoffed, but refused to turn around and met his eyes. “I don’t know what you’re getting at, Poe.”
Poe was quiet for a moment longer. It made you startle when he put his hand on your shoulder because you hadn’t heard him get up. “You can talk to me about whatever’s going on, Bug. I can help you with whatever it is.”
A sad smile crossed your face, and Poe’s eyes became concerned. “Not with this, bud. You can’t help with this.”
“Bug, come on. You’re worrying me. You know I can fix anything.”
“Well, don’t worry.” You shrugged his hand off your shoulder and still hadn’t met his eyes. “What makes you so sure I even want you to help, Poe? There’s a reason I haven’t told you about it.”
“I- We tell each other everything, though. Are you- are you in some sort of trouble? Is it Zeva?”
“Maker, alive. No, Poe, I am not in any sort of trouble with Zeva or anyone else. I just don’t want to talk about it.”
He ducked his head enough that you were forced to make eye contact with him. “Bug, I’m worried because I care. Please, just talk to me.”
“You care,” you scoffed back at him.
“Of course I care!” Poe was pleading with you, now, his dark eyes vulnerable. “You’ve been my best friend since we were kids.”
He put his hands on your shoulders and dragged you forward so that he could rest his forehead on yours. He stood there quiet for a moment with his eyes closed. “You mean everything to me.”
“You’ll look at me differently, Poe. I know you will. And I never want that to happen,” you whispered back.
A single tear fell down your cheek as he pulled his face away from yours. “Talk to me, sweetheart. Nothing could ever come between the two of us.” He swiped the tear away with his thumb and said your name, your real name, with such tenderness that your resolve broke.
“You aren’t mine… but sometimes I pretend you wish you were. I pretend that you secretly want me, too. I regularly forget that it’s something I’ve made up, that you don’t want me. That you aren’t mine.”
“I don’t-”
“I’m in love with you, Poe,” you said plainly. “I have been since we were kids.” More tears were falling, now, and you were helpless to stop them. “Maker, why do you think I followed you to Kajimi? Do you really think I want to be here? That I want to be a criminal?”
Poe dropped his hands and took a step back. “But I thought-”
“But it’s never me. You never see me.”
“Bug, that’s not- I can’t just- I have to- because Zorii-”
He looked panicked, and you turned so you wouldn’t have to face him anymore.
When Poe still didn’t say anything, your shoulders fell even more. “I think maybe you should leave, Poe,” you whispered.
You heard him take a step forward, and you knew that if you turned around, he’d have a hand out reaching for you. “Can I-”
“Please go.”
“Bug, please.”
Poe’s voice sounded as tortured as you felt, but you just wanted to cry in peace. Maybe his rejection would feel less painful, then. “Poe, please leave.”
You heard his hand drop and he sighed. “Okay.” Your door opened and it was quiet again. “Promise me something?”
And because it was Poe asking, you couldn’t help but oblige. You turned your head so he knew you were listening.
“Promise me the next time I see you, we’ll talk about this. There are… things to say. Things you need to know.”
“Sure, Poe.”
“I’m going to hold you to that. You mean everything to me. That will never change.”
“Okay, Poe.”
The room was quiet for a moment longer and you could feel his eyes on the back of your neck. Only when he closed the door behind him did you collapse in on yourself. You curled yourself into a ball and cried for what felt like a lifetime. When you couldn’t cry anymore, you straightened yourself out and got to work packing the small amount of personal belongings you had brought with you from home. If you were gone come morning, there wouldn’t be anything to talk about.
With another cursory glance around the quarters you tried to pretend were home, you headed into the frigid Kajimi weather to catch a transport shuttle to anywhere.
On the third (or maybe fourth- you don’t remember, now) transport you hopped on to disperse any trail you left behind, you met Snap. He was on his way to reunite with his mother after having been separated from her for a number of years. You didn’t want to speak to anyone, but Snap didn’t care; he did all the talking anyway. He told you about his battle droid, Mister Bones. He told you about how his parents were taken from him, and how he was going to join the rebels with her. Then his voice fell to a hush and he asked if you’d like to come with him
Just like that, you had a new home and a new best friend.
You kept your head down, for the most part, but then you did something equally brave and stupid. You got noticed. You’d noticed an anomaly in a report. And when you looked into it, you noticed it again and again, going back for several months. The closer you looked, the more malicious it seemed.
As quietly as possible, you had requested an audience with the General. Even if it ended up being nothing, you didn’t want to trust anyone else with it.
When the General promoted you all the way to major, she explained it away with a shrug of her shoulders and a “that’s what ousting a First Order spy will get you”. When she promoted you to commander and then to colonel, she only had proud tears shining in her eyes. Leia wasn’t without her moments of mischief, though, and you had a sinking feeling that she’d already known at least some of your history with Shara Bey’s son.
You were just going to have to hope he didn’t recognize you- or better yet, not even remember you.
The flight deck was a mess of bodies when you finally willed yourself down there. Snap had inserted himself somewhere in the chaos- you could hear him, but not see him. When the resistance pilots noticed your presence, it was with immediate attention. You had earned your place and their respect, and they knew it.
There were only a few voices still heard, one of which you knew to be the man you still pined after, all these years later. They caught on to the quiet relatively quickly, and when Snap saw you, he beamed.
It was like time slowed down. He was turning and any moment, your eyes would meet for the first time in years. The building smile froze on his face and his helmet clattered to the floor as soon as he saw who was standing in front of him. The two of you just looked at each other, and you could see the anger settling in his features. The rest of the people on the flight deck were watching the two of you, waiting to see what would happen. You would never put it past him to make a scene, so you opted to address the deck before he could.
You gave the new pilots your name. “I am your colonel. I have earned that rank here, so you will address me as such. The General and I may see fit to disband your current squadron and place you as individuals on other teams. Captains Pava and Wexley are your current commanding officers. We need good pilots, that is irrefutably true. We also need good people. I hope each and every one of you finds your place here,” your eyes roamed the faces in front of you, and you purposely skipped over Poe. “If you need anything, the captains or I can answer any questions you may have, as well as Vice Admiral Holdo.”
“The colonel’s really not as much of a hard-ass as she sounds,” Snap piped up from his spot near the back of the group.
Despite yourself, Snap’s joke had the beginnings of a grin starting on your face. “Thank you for that addition, Captain Wexley.” With a small shake of your head, you straightened yourself back to your rank. “Your training starts at 0500 tomorrow morning. In the meantime, the captains will show you to your new bunks,” you nodded in farewell. “Until tomorrow, everyone. May the Force be with you.”
Again, you refused to meet Poe’s eyes. You’d made it most of the way down the corridor while he called out both your name and his nickname for you, and when you still didn’t stop for him, he yelled out, “Colonel!” Your body stopped and your heart clenched. But you could do this. You were a colonel in the resistance, for maker’s sake. You could face the man you…
You turned toward him jogging to reach you. “How can I help you?”
Poe’s eyes were dark with emotion. “Really? That’s all you have to say to me? You owe me a conversation and you know it.”
“I’m a busy woman, so by all means, say what you need to say.”
“You left. You promised me- but then you just left. I was going to- You deserved to know. But you left me. I didn’t even know you were alive.”
“You could have asked Kes. I’m sure he knew. Our fathers never could keep secrets from each other.”
There were tears gathering in Poe’s eyes, and you made yourself look anywhere but at him so you wouldn’t give away your own heart.
“Why did you leave me behind, Bug?” he whispered.
“I didn’t belong there. We both knew that.”
“If you weren’t happy, you should have told me!” his voice rose in volume until it echoed around the deck. You took a step toward him with your hand raised, trying to get him to keep his tone lowered.
“Oh, yes, and we would have gone home and you would have resented me for taking away your adventure!” you hissed.
Poe’s eyes were sad when you looked back up at him. “I never would have resented you. You meant everything to me,” he shifted on his feet and looked down. “You still do.”
“Maybe so, but I couldn’t stay. And I’m not really sure you wanted me there, either, seeing as you had your budding romance.”
He scoffed and looked away from you, his jaw shifting. “Zorii had nothing to do with anything. If you’d’ve stayed, you would have known that.” He sighed your name and reached for you, like no time had passed between you. You let him hold your hand, his fingers tracing the lines of your palm. His voice was quiet when he spoke again. “Did you ever- did you think of me?”
Your body shuttered out a sob, not able to hold it in anymore, and he continued. “I thought of you- every moment of every day. I prayed to every god I knew of that you were safe. That you were alive. Maker, I died that day, knowing you’d left me. And that I was the reason you’d gone.” His eyes were misty when he looked up from where his fingers still traced your hand. “I’ve missed you. I missed you like my soul was ripped from my body. Like I’ve lost you in every single lifetime. And knowing it was because you didn’t know, because I had never thought to hope. It was torture, Bug.”
When he reached up to brush a tear from your face, another sob tore from you.
“Please,” you whispered. “Please just let me be. I wouldn’t survive a second time.”
Poe’s hand was still holding yours and his eyes were pleading with you to listen and understand him. “There is no pretending. I love you. I loved you then and I love you now. I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I will love you then, too.”
Your breath was coming out in short gasps, unable to find purchase in your lungs. Everything you’d ever desperately dreamed of hearing from him, all the hope you’d ever poured into the unrequited love for your best friend. But you couldn’t do this again. You had snuffed out the hope in yourself, and you wouldn’t let yourself be dragged back in.
So when he asked, with all the love you’d ever hoped to be returned to you shining in his eyes, “do you think you could ever love me again?”, you would never forget the pain, the heartbreak clear as day on his face as you responded. “Of course I could, and I hate myself for it."

Gingerpilotweek 2024
Day 3
Instinct
"Open channel. This is General Hux from Finalizer." "Uh… Hi, I am Poe. Poe Dameron, I mean Commander Poe Dameron. I am a bit occupied here. Do you want to surrender?" "Certainly not." "Ah. Shame. I always wanted to see inside the Star Destroyer one day." Hux snorted. "Be my guest, Commander. My hangar is always open for you." Poe laughed "You know… Take me for a date first, huh?… That fucker! Sorry… Give me a moment. Are you fine Squeed? Right, let me get this can off your tail" Hux watched as another TIE exploded right before the bridge. "I am sorry, Hugs. Hey… You know, maybe you could tell these TIE's to back off? You sound like a nice, reasonable guy… " "Mitaka, send second squadron." "Yes, sir." "Fuck, Hey, Hey!" Hux heard a trace of panic in the pilot's voice. He knew. There were too many TIEs for them to win. And their only way out was blocked." Easy… Maybe we can just talk it out! You know… You back off, and we back off and everyone goes home happy and alive today?" Hux hummed. "The crew of the cruiser you blew up last week could have a different opinion on that matter" "Yeah? Maybe they should talk it through with the people, who were living in the city they wanted bomb?' Poe snarled, destroying another TIE. "Alright Commander. We back off, you back off and everyone goes home happy and alive today under one condition. You are not going anywhere. "Dameron fell silent. "I will send another squadron. If you don't surrender your people will die, no matter how skilled you are, you are going to lose. Your fighter is damaged, more than half of your people have damaged vessels, two are unable to use guns, easy targets… I will let them go. You have exactly one minute and twenty seconds to surrender or..." " This is Black Leader. Disengage and return to the base. " Hux heard Poe's command. Soon only one X-wing stayed. "Very wise decision, Commander." "Do I get to look around before the whole interrogation-torture thing? At least some tour? Maybe some additional points for going so willingly?" "There is a thin border between being charming and annoying, Commander." "You think I am charming, General? No wonder you called." Dameron purred "Did you like my flying? I could give you a private show… I bet I could blow up at least five of these fancy TIEs of yours. Even now, alone…" Hux had no doubts about that. "They will escort you to the hangar. Do not try anything reckless, Commander. I've seen enough of your tricks. This time you're not going to run away." ** "Welcome aboard Finalizer, scum." Poe smiled. "Straight to the point? Well if you are into it, then I am too." Someone behind Hux's back snorted a bit to loud. Hux raised his eyebrow and turned around. "At least your crew have some sense of humor, General. What about my tour?" "Don't worry I will take care of you, personally." He hissed. And because Poe Dameron had absolutely no survival instinct he said: "It's a date, then?"

“Oh, fuck baby, that feels so good.” You groaned.
Poe was sweating, dark curls completely disheveled and stuck to his forehead while he continued thrusting into you. He bit his lip before leaning down and taking one of your nipples into his mouth. His tongue flicked over the hardened peak.
“Y-yeah baby, oh that feels…mm.” You let out a small chuckle, “keep fucking me just like that…Black Leader.”
Poe looked up from your tit with his jaw still open. You weren’t sure why you’d said it, but Poe’s face was dead serious when he looked at you. You wondered if it had offended him somehow. He thrusted into you again, not too offended I guess, you thought.
“Say it again.” He urged, starting to move his hips even faster.
A smirk played over your lips, “Black…Leader.” You moaned out slowly.
“F-fuck.” He said, voice raw and wrecked.
You giggled, “who woulda thought this is something you’re into?”
He let out a low growl before burying his face into your neck. He used one of his hands to grab your hip, angling himself deeper. Poe was so big, you felt the tip nearly pressing at your cervix. He grunted again before nipping at your earlobe. His breath was hot against your skin
“Like it when you call me that.”
“You like when I call you…mm…Black Leader?”
He shuddered, “yeah.”
“You gonna come for me then?” You reached your arm down and squeezed his firm asscheek.
“Yeah, yes.” He started fucking into you faster, harder, slamming the headboard against the wall.
He put his body weight on you, holding you tight with his face still against your ear. His moaning was deafeningly arousing, shooting waves to your core. When he started pressing small kisses along your jawline is when you lost all control.
“Oh my, ah.” You lost all sense as your cunt clamped down over his fat cock.
“Yeah, yeah baby feels so…uh.”
Poe’s cock pulsated while he filled you to the brim with his hot seed. You loved the way he moaned so deeply when he came, especially when he was so closely pressed against you. His hips slowed and he kissed your cheek gently.
“Alright baby.” You patted his side, “we have to get back to work.”
He leaned back and looked at you, “not a chance, we’re going again, and you better keep calling me that.”

No Banners — Poe Dameron x f!Reader — Prologue
Description: Poe Dameron is set to break you, a pirate who is just as much an enemy to the resistance as you are to the First Order, out of prison, not knowing that what follows will test both of your loyalties. Warnings: murder, strong language Words: 1.1k A/N: This is me rewriting a fic that I started on years ago on another blog but never got past the prologue. If it feels familiar, it might be!
Prologue ☆ Chapter One →
Vinis Dallo woke to darkness. Not the kind of darkness he would like, mind — he’d have been happy to awaken to a dark hotel room in the inner rim with a beautiful Twi’lek on each side of him, the way a man like him deserved — but a fake darkness, created by fabric, by some sort of bag thrown over his head. The last thing he remembered was an alarm, a siren alerting him that his ship was being boarded by hostiles. And then this.
He’d kill them. He’d get his hands on those filthy pirates sooner or later and make them pay for every scrap of metal they damaged, for every belonging of his they touched, but most of all for the indignity they forced him to endure.
“He’s stirrin’,” someone said.
Dallo heard the shuffle of feet, and then the bag was ripped from his head.
“Sorry ‘bout that. Cap’n’s protocol. Don’t risk nobody seein’ nothin’ they shouldn’t. Nothin’ to see here, though. Y’alright?”
“Pirate scum,” he croaked. How long had he been out that he couldn’t even talk? What had they done to him?
“Ah. You’re thirsty. I’ll see what I can do ‘bout gettin’ ya some water.”
“I don’t want your damn—”
“It just gets drier from here, I promise ya. Accept it while ya can.”
“No,” said Dallo, more forcefully.
“What’ve I told you?” came a new voice, from off to his left, where he hadn’t ventured to look yet. “All the money in this galaxy cannot buy a person sense. Go, Tonor. I’ll let you know if he changes his mind about your offering.”
Tonor, his name must then have been, widened his already big, black eyes, and nodded. “Yes, Cap’n,” he said, scurrying off like a bug.
From the shadows emerged the woman who had spoken, a human in a long, red coat, fingers covered in shining rings she’d no doubt stolen from previous victims, and enough necklaces to cause aches.
“You,” Dallo spat.
“Me,” you said, gleefully.
“I should have known. We didn’t even see you coming.”
“It’s a fast ship, mine. Scavenged it together myself. Kept a part from yours as well, that I think will be a lovely addition to genetics. That, ah, cloaking device. That is something. Not good enough to sufficiently hide you, it turns out, but technology can only do so much for a crew when their pilot’s an idiot.”
“Fuck you.”
“Succinct. Pity, the rumors had all made you out to be a wonderful conversationalist and I do love to talk.” Your fingers dragged across his chest, faltering just over the pendant that hung from it. “This is pretty.”
He leaned forward. “Pirate whore.” He spat, this time literally, the thick glob hitting you on the cheek.
You blinked slowly, your facial expression even. With the back of your hand, you wiped your cheek and then, before he had a chance to brace himself, slapped him with it so hard his chair fell over.
It stung. Even after the contact pain subsided a bit, he could feel some kid of sharp burning on his skin — the rings, it must have been. You cut his face with them.
“You don’t seem to realize the situation you’re in, warmonger,” you told him, kicking the exposed back of the chair just beside his head until he was on his back, still tied up and defenseless, now staring at the ceiling. One of your boots came to rest upon his collarbone. “See, your ship was blown to shards hours ago with your crew still on it. Everyone who knew of your fate is dead. It’ll be days before anyone’s noticed you haven’t made it to your destination and sounds the alarms over it, and by then, well. And you’re here spitting in the face of the one person in the galaxy with the ability to help you? Not the choice I’d make.”
“Help me? You’re going to kill me!”
“With the way things are going right now? Yes, I’d say that’s likely. But I don’t have to. And since you still have something I want… maybe we can work out a deal.”
“You’ll let me go?”
“Sure. We’re already docked. I can let you off my ship right here, and you can take the first ride back to Canto Bight. How does that sound?”
He shouldn’t have trusted you. You were a pirate. Still, he knew who your family was, and he knew they wouldn’t make deals without meaning it.
And it was his only chance, anyway. He didn’t want to die.
“What do you want from me?”
“The passcode to that little map you had in your deck. The one I reckon has all every coordinate to every munitions factory and warehouse you own. Acquiesce, and I’ll check that the code works, and you can walk right out.”
Dallo swallowed hard. “8-1-2-3.”
You grinned. “Good boy.”
And then you disappeared, leaving him to stare at the ceiling. He was going to get out. He knew he was, he’d played enough games in Canto Bight to know when he was being lied to, and you weren’t lying.
Mercy. At the hands of the galaxy’s most notorious and destructive pirate.
It took just minutes for you to return, looking pleased, with two of your crew mates in tow. Tonor, as you’d called him, the Rodian, and a Togruta female he recognized as your first mate, Syala Tille.
Syala righted his chair with a roll of her eyes — at him or at your dramatics, he wasn’t sure — and Tonor got to work at untying his bonds.
Dallo shook his leg slightly, hoping to feel the weight of the blaster he always kept hidden by his ankle, but came up short. Of course you’d have checked. He was lucky you hadn’t strip-searched him, at least as far as he was aware.
“It worked. But you knew that, of course,” you said with a wave of your hand. “A deal’s a deal. You’re free to go. My bullies will walk you out.”
“You never told me which planet we’re on.”
“No,” you said. “I couldn’t have even if I wanted to. You were flying awfully close to the edge of the mid rim when we caught you, figured we’d take a little detour from there. We always did love exploration.”
His stomach dropped. “We’re in the unknown area.”
“Indeed. This planet has no name. It’s not on any maps. Not a surprise, really, it doesn’t have any water, either. If anyone’s ever visited before, I imagine they didn’t stay for long. Certainly won’t come back.”
You reached out and snagged the pendant right off his neck.
“You’re leaving me here to die,” he said.
“Maybe. Probably.” You grinned. “You should have accepted the water.”

Number One Patient
———————————————————————————
The med bay was having a slow day, not like if there were any real kind of battles going on. A mission every once in a while involving traveling to another planet to help other life forms with healthcare came along. But not today. You found yourself going through your inventory of supplies in the back, just trying to make your shift go by faster.
You were in the middle of counting packs of gauze when one of the other medics cut your concentration.
“L/N, patient in room one is here for you.” Lorne, one of the medics states.
You turn towards him. “Lorne, I’m in the middle of inventory, could you just take it?”
You watch as a small smirk comes across his features. “Actually, this patient is specifically requesting you.”
You sigh before tossing a pack of gauze at him, only for him to catch it. “Finish up for me then will you?
“Yes, ma’am.”
You exit the supplies area and make your way to one of the desks and fetch a data pad. Pulling up with the patient’s information with your credentials.
You prepare yourself with a kind smile but drop it once you see the patient’s name.
Commander Poe Dameron
You can’t help but roll your eyes as you pull back the curtain to the bed in room one to find your boyfriend sitting on the bed, legs swaying slightly as he waits for you.
“Poe,” you shoot him a look. “What is it this time?”
“Y/n,” he shoots you a charming smile. “My favorite medic.”
You sigh before taking another step towards the resistance’s golden boy. “You better have a broken bone this time.”
Poe let’s out a small chuckle before pulling his hand out for you to see. A large laceration reaching from his lower right side of his thumb to his pinkey on his right hand resides, slightly bleeding.
You nod, entering a few notes onto your data pad before setting it down on the counter. You moved around the room for a suture kit, gloves, bacta gel and numbing anesthetic.
Once you’re all set up, you glove up and begin cleaning the cut. “Any particular reason for me today? You know Lorne is just as capable as me.”
“Yeah but I like to have someone pretty to look at while I’m in pain.”
You scoffed. “Ah, so you do feel pain. By the way,” you add as you pull out you anesthetic. “This is gonna pinch a little.”
You try hard not to smile as his cocky attitude changes when you here him hiss. “Yeah, more like a sting!”
“Well, you certainly don’t want to feel it, do you?” You ask. “How did you manage this anyway?”
“Fixing up BB-8. One of his mechanisms was a little messed up so I tried to fix him up myself.”
“Poe, we have droid mechanics here on base for a reason,”
“I know, I know.” He shakes his head, a single curl falls on his forehead. “He’s my buddy though. Anyway, I accidentally came across a sharp scrap inside.”
You began your sutures carefully and you notice he’s either looking at you or away in general. “What? Does it still hurt? Do you need more numbing?”
“No, no. It’s nothing.” He says, tapping his other hand over his knee. “It’s just- has anyone ever told you how beautiful your eyes look when you’re concentrated?”
You stop kneading the thread and look up. “Poe-“
“I know, sorry,” he waves his good hand around. “I forgot no flirting in the workplace.”
Your cheeks burn as you go back to suturing his hand. “No more fixing BB on your own and please do not use this hand for a week. I need the tissues to heal correctly.”
“Doesn’t the Bacta gel to that?”
“Well yes, but if you’re constantly moving your hand around and disrupt the process, it won’t work Poe.”
“Right, right.”
You clip the final suture and remove your gloves. “Alright, I’m done.”
You move to bandage his hand and wrap it tightly in some gauze.
“Come back at the end of the week for the suture removal.” You say, typing in you final notes onto the data pad.
Poe hops off the bed and stands, careful of his now injured hand. “Thanks, y/n.”
“Anytime,” you give him a tight smile as you continued to type.
He moves past you but stops next to you. “When you say no activities with this hand for a week-“
Your eyes snap up to meet his smirk. “Does that include….?”
“POE-“
“Sorry!” He moves just out of reach when you moved to smack him with the data pad. “See you tonight!”
And then he’s gone. You loved that man but hated when purposely made those comments around your fellow resistance members.

I wanted to right more Poe so I had some time today! Enjoys!

The Son: Chapter 13
Pairing: Poe Dameron x Male!Reader (The Son)
Summary: You’ve finally broken free of the forces controlling you at a great cost, though the cost of doing so was even greater than you thought. Now, you fight for the antithesis of what you had been representing, and have to grapple with finding your own place in the galaxy while grappling with the person trying to find their way into your heart. Will The Son choose the light? Or the dark? Whatever the answer may be, may the force be with us.
A/N: Honestly so much happens in this chapter lawd. As always, I hope you enjoy!
Warnings: Death, none others

“General, I regret to inform you,” you heard C-3PO say as he leaned down to grab something from BB-8 next to him, most likely the map that Tekka found. “But this map recovered from BB-8,” he placed a strange item inside of the holotable as he said so, “is only partially complete. And even worse, it matches no charted system on record. We simply do not have enough information to locate Master Luke.”
“Can’t believe I was so foolish to think I could find Luke and bring him home,” Leia spoke sadly.
“Leia,” Han chimed in.
When did he walk- nevermind.
“Don’t do that,” Leia moved from the table to walk away.
“Do what?” Han asked, though you had a feeling he knew exactly what it was.
“Anything,” she finished as she left.
“Princesses,” C-3PO remarked.
Han walked off to go find Leia and you saw him catch up to her. You wanted to introduce yourself to him but realized that now was probably not the best time. Instead, you opted to go to your quarters for a bit and think about recent events before it was time to suit up. In the midst of the conversation, Poe and Finn had disappeared somewhere but you didn’t mind as you had a lot on yours in the first place. As you reached your room, you opened the door and walked in to see the undecorated living space as still as it was when you left.
“Where is my place in this? I don’t understand,” you sighed as you placed your jacket on the back of the desk chair.
The connection you felt between Rey and Kylo was something that you hadn’t felt through the force for generations. Though, why were you required for the nexus event if it seemingly was happening without you?
“Much confusion, I sense in you,” you heard a whisper in the room.
“Your voice... you were there, weren’t you? When I found my crystals, you were the one who guided me,” you responded, looking around and trying to spot the source of the voice.
“Crystals? Ah yes, but not why I am here, that is,” he responded.
You couldn’t figure out where it was coming from so you decided to stop looking for it and sat down on your chair with a sigh, “Can I at least get your name? It’s kind of weird to have someone I have never even seen before know my name while I know nothing about them.”
There was a short pause before you finally heard a response, “Hmm, you may call me Yoda.”
His voice sounded old and wise, “Master Yoda, you were the one who Leia mentioned Luke trained with!”
He made a few noises that you understood as slight annoyance, “Rey and Kylo, you are confused about, yes?”
You narrowed an eyebrow, “Yes, how did you know?”
“How? Does not matter. Spectate, you must. Know when you are needed, you will.”
“Spectate?” you said incredulously. “What do you mean spectate?”
He made a disapproving groan, “Their story, hmm, cannot be interfered with. Your own, you must live.”
You were even more confused than before, “I thought the force needed me to make sure the nexus event happens?”
“Indeed!” he responded. “Though, not in the way you might think, hm?”
You sighed for the hundredth time, “Then what way am I supposed to help? I don’t understand, Yoda.”
He made another noise that sounded impatient, “Your time will come. With Rey and Kylo, you cannot interfere.”
With that he disappeared completely and you were left shell shocked.
“Know when you are needed? Your time will come? Do all people who know the future decide to be completely vague?” you threw your hands up in frustration. “At least when I could see the future, I didn’t keep it to myself,” you thought back to Anakin. “...on second thought nevermind.”
Chime
“Always something,” you muttered as you walked up to the door to answer it.
You were met with Poe on the other side, giving you a dashing smile that made your knees weak, “Hey, heard you went back to your room so I wanted to check in on you. We’ve got a strategy meeting soon, I thought we could go together?”
He asked so adorably that you could never even fathom saying no, “I’d love to, and I’m...”
You had intended to finish that sentence with ‘fine’ but you ended up getting dragged back into your thoughts over what Yoda had said.
He curved his head to the side to look at you inquisitively, “What’s going on? Is it what you were thinking about earlier?”
It was like he always knew exactly where you were mentally and knew exactly what to say at the right times and you nearly chuckled at the realization that you completely belonged to him, “You know me too well at this point.”
He couldn’t fight the half grin that showed up on his face as he replied, “What’s got you thinking?”
You sighed as you turned around and walked back into the room, letting Poe enter as he wished, “Remember everything I told you on the ship?”
He nodded as he came alongside you next to the bed, “Yeah, I’m honestly still trying to wrap my head around the fact that even though you’re human you’re... much more than that.”
You felt a twinge of sadness run through you, “I get it if you want to run for the hills, my baggage is... heavy.”
He rolled his eyes at you which surprised you as he sat down on the bed and basically pulled you down to sit next to him, taking your hands in his, “N/N, I’m not going anywhere, so quit the self-destructing bullshit and realize that.”
You were taken aback, let alone by his forwardness in taking your hands in his, but also at his words. They hit deep but not in the bad way, in a way that made you realize your own shortcomings and made you want to work on them.
“Sorry, I just... I don’t need to re-unpack and psychoanalyze myself from my previous trauma’s because you’re well aware of them so... sorry.”
He was unfazed, “So, what’s going on?”
You took a deep breath to calm yourself as you responded, the warmth from Poe’s hands giving you the strength, “I’m just so tired of not knowing what to do, who I am, where I belong. It’s too much and I’m sick of only getting bits and pieces to my questions because they only raise entirely new ones.”
He nodded along as you spoke, the determination set in his eyes, “I understand. I will probably never be able to relate, but I understand, to a degree. But Y/N, all of those questions you’re asking, you’re looking in the wrong place.” “What do you mean?”
He gave you a knowing smile, “What to do? Who you are? Where you belong? You think you can find those answers by asking others? No, only you can answer those questions for yourself, sweetheart.”
There it was again, sweetheart.
The effect it had was ridiculous as the blush immediately crept on your face. You couldn’t pull away though as Poe held your hands in his and were forced to confront how it made you feel right before his eyes. Last time he said it, he was a bit flustered as well, but this time, he didn’t even flinch. He was looking directly at you with no holds barred emotions in his eyes. It was like he was telling you that it was ok to be emotional, it was ok to bare your heart and soul to him, that this was a safe space.
“Y-you’re definitely right,” you choked out, trying to get ahold of yourself. “Someone visited me, someone from uh, the past. He told me some things that changed my perspective.”
You could see the confusion pass by his irises but he had put it away momentarily, “And what happened?”
He began to rub small circles over your hands with his thumbs and it sent shivers through your entire body, “H-he uhm- you know how Finn said his friend Rey was taken? And I realized that she was force sensitive?”
He nodded along, still rubbing those damn circles as if he didn’t know what they were doing to you.
“W-well she,” you cleared your throat to speak easier. “She and Kylo have a connection through the force that I haven’t felt for a very long time, something worthy of a nexus event.”
His eyes widened, “So it’s already here?”
“Well, the ball is rolling at the least,” you commented. “Though, I thought that I was necessary for this event to happen even though it now seems that I am not.”
He furrowed his eyebrows, “Is this about what the person from the past said?”
“Yeah,” you whispered as your eyes dropped. “Apparently, my only job is to watch things play out between Kylo and Rey, and that at some point, ‘my time will come.’ Whatever that means.”
“And do we trust this guy?”
You nodded your head, “I might not have liked what he had to say but he helped me before, and he was a Jedi master. I’d be a fool not to listen to him, but I suppose the interpretation is up to us, since he was extremely vague.”
He smirked, “Damn right, that’s my Y/N.”
Another thrill through your body.
“So, if I’m meant to let Rey and Kylo play their parts, that doesn’t mean that I can’t help Rey in other ways,” you muttered.
Poe’s serious-esque demeanor had dissolved slightly as he let go of your hands, clearing his throat, “What ways could that be?”
“Well, I could at the very least make sure that Kylo never gets the chance to kill her,” you commented.
He raised a brow at you, “Isn’t that a given for everyone already?”
You nodded your head to the side once and raised an eyebrow, “Well, true. Though I can watch over her and help her with her training, make sure that no matter what we are the ones who win.”
He nodded at that, “Yeah, yeah that’s good.”
You felt anger rise in your chest slightly, “I’m pretty pissed though.”
“Shit, I would be. Being told that I have to tie my hands behind my back while a war that’s deciding the fate of the galaxy goes on,” Poe said, exasperated.
You shook your head, “Yeah but... it’s different this time.”
Poe looked confused, “How do you mean?”
“The only time another force wielder has ever come to me other than when I was deep in meditation was in a time of great importance. When I was looking for my crystals... now when I simply walked into my room while I had just learned about the nexus event,” you explained. “I have to heed his words very carefully, otherwise I risk making things worse than they could be.”
Poe looked off as he ingested your words, forming his own opinion as well in his thoughts, “That makes sense. So basically if you say screw it and take out Kylo yourself, you could risk having an event so much worse happen than what’s happening today at an unforeseeable time afterwards. Not to mention, it would ruin the nexus event somehow and you wouldn’t be able to stay.”
“Exactly,” you said, reaching the same conclusion as him. You felt your anger grow weak at the new information brought to light, “I’ll stick to making sure nobody dies, and helping to train Rey, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Poe nodded.
Beep Beep
Poe’s comm blinked on his arm, “Meeting’s starting, let’s get in there.”
The two of you stood and walked out of the room, heading directly towards Command. There were workers walking alongside the two of you in the hallways as well, some ahead of you, some behind you; basically everyone on the base was being called into this meeting. As you arrived, those in the room recognized you and Poe and made way for you to reach the center to spread out around the holotable.
“Alright, the scan data from Snap’s reconnaissance flight confirms Finn’s report,” Poe said as he leaned over the table.
You noticed Admiral Statura, Finn, Admiral Ackbar, Snap, Han, Chewbacca, and a few others near the table.
“They’ve somehow created a hyper-lightspeed weapon built within the planet itself,” Snap informed.
“A laser canon,” a random worker said.
“We’re not sure how to describe a weapon of this scale,” Snap responded.
“It’s another Death Star,” you heard a higher ranking officer gasp.
“I wish that were the case major,” Poe walked towards the table and clicked a button. “This was the Death Star,” a holographic display of the death star appeared on the table. “And this is Star Killer base,” he pushed another button and suddenly a planet so large appeared, it made the Death Star look tiny in comparison.
Essentially everyone in the room gasped but Han was quick to respond, “So, it’s big.”
“How is it possible to power a weapon of that size?” Admiral Ackbar chimed in.
“It uses the power of the sun,” Finn finally made himself known as he approached the table. “As the weapon is charged, the sun is drained until it disappears.”
“Those pieces of shit,” you muttered.
“Ma’am,” a worker passed something to Leia.
As Leia read it, you could sense her worry, “The First Order. They’re charging the weapon again now.” She looked towards you and Poe, “Our system is the next target.”
Your eyes widened slightly as you hadn’t expected them to find you so coincidentally. They must have let Snap get away on purpose to track him back to the base.
“Oh my,” C-3PO sighed. “Without the Republic fleet, we’re doomed.”
“Ok, how do we blow it up? There’s always a way to do that,” Han asked.
You took a step forward, “I agree.”
“Han’s right,” Leia said nearly at the same time as you.
Statura decided to speak up, “In order for that amount of power to be contained, that base has to have some kind of thermal oscillator.”
“There is one,” Finn started to move across the room, “precinct 47, here,” he pointed at a spot that highlighted.
“If we can destroy that oscillator, it might destabilize the core and cripple the weapon,” Statura finished.
“Maybe the planet,” the high ranking officer from before said.
“We’ll go in there, we’ll hit that oscillator with everything we’ve got,” Poe strategized.
“They have defensive shields that our ship’s cannot penetrate,” Admiral Ackbar informed.
“We disable the shields,” Han shakes a hand slightly to accentuate his point. “Kid, you worked there, what do you got?” he turned to Finn.
“I can do it,” he responded curtly.
“I like this guy,” Han pointed at Finn as he looked at Leia.
“I can disable the shields, but I have to be there. On the planet,” you could sense that he wasn’t telling the truth, or at least the entire truth but you decided not to comment on it.
Han shared a look with Chewie, “We’ll get you there.”
Leia looked over at him, “Han, how?”
He gave her a look, “If I told you, you wouldn’t like it.”
“So we disable the shields, we take down the oscillator, and we blow up their big gun,” Poe remarked. Chewie made a large cry and the rest of the room nodded along, “Alright, let’s go.”
Everyone in the room began to rush out in preparation for the battle that you had ahead but you pulled Leia and Poe aside for a moment, “Leia, can I speak with you?”
“What is it?” she asked.
“Could I go with Han? I need to be there, on the planet, I have to try to help them save Rey,” you explained.
She looked slightly confused, “You’re one of our best pilots, we need you for the bombing run?”
Poe spoke up, “You’re right, General, but this is something that Y/N has to do.”
You looked at him gratefully as Leia responded after thinking for a moment, “He knows?”
You nodded, “He knows.”
She sighed, “Alright. I trust your judgment. But remember, it doesn’t matter if we save Rey if that weapon isn’t destroyed.”
You nodded, “Of course, the priority is to take down the shields. Leia, can I leave my droids in your care?”
“Of course.”
With that, you split, Leia going off while you and Poe headed towards the clearing where the fleet was. As you arrived, you noticed basically every worker and droid possible working on prepping the fleet to attack Starkiller base.
“Hey, we’re gonna be ok,” Poe said to you as he noticed the look of trepidation on your face.
You turned to him, “There is so much at stake and still so much I don’t know, if this fails, if I fail then not only will I have to seal myself away again, but the entire galaxy could fall to ruin.”
“So, just another day at the resistance?” he chirped, giving you a raised eye as a smile crept onto his face.
“Sometimes, I wonder if you get off on the thrill of nearly dying,” you said as you smiled but also slightly concerned.
He completely stopped walking and turned to you, “As if you weren’t the one who jumped out of a ship to fall hundreds of feet to nearly certain death.”
You laughed hard at that, “Can’t argue with that.”
With a promise to be safe to each other, you split, Poe heading to his x-wing while you needed to go and introduce yourself to Han to be on their team.
Poe’s POV
As Y/N and I split to go our separate ways, I felt myself wanting to say more than I did. I found myself wanting to say that I never wanted him to leave my side, that we would always stick together. Then I got confused. I’ve never cared for anyone the way I do for... for Y/N. He’s my best friend but, I don’t feel like that’s a good enough word for what he is to me. He doesn’t even know it either, just blissfully unaware that he’s constantly on my mind, all the time. At first, I just wanted to get to know him but then I did. Then I found myself marveling at the things that he told me, just how incredible he truly was, how incredible I knew he was. Then I thought back to the time when we cuddled that one night. God, how I wanted him in my bed every single night ever since then. It’s been killing me inside ever since but all I’ve wanted to do was just ask him if he would cuddle with me just one more time. Why am I having this surge of thoughts over Y/N now? Is it because we’re heading off to our certain deaths? I don’t know... but one thing I do know... is that Y/N means more to me than he knows, and I have to tell him once this is over.
Your POV
“Chewie, check that donal capitator. Come on, let’s go,” you heard Han say as you approached. Finn had dropped an object, “Finn, be careful with those. They’re explosives.”
“Now you tell me?”
“Han Solo?” you said as you approached.
He barely even gave you a glance as he worked at the terminal next to his ship, “What do you want?”
You knew his personality from Leia so you weren’t exactly surprised, “My name is Y/N Y/L/N, I’m coming with you.”
He finally turned to you, “Oh, is that right?”
You nodded, “I know you don’t know me, and that usually means distrust, but,” you wondered how to phrase it to him without him telling you to go screw yourself. “Leia has assigned me to your strike team, I’ll be here to help you infiltrate and disable the shields.”
He moved, “And what makes you think I’ll let some random guy on my ship?”
You looked towards Finn then back to him, “Because you’ve already done so.”
He paused and gave you a once over, now seeing the lightsabers clipped on your belt, “Jedi, huh? You’re not bad. You want to come with? Work with Finn and get those explosives inside.”
You moved to help Finn without further adieu just as you heard Leia approach Han, “You know, no matter how much we fought-”
You decided not to listen in on their conversation and helped Finn pack everything up, “So, how did you meet Rey?”
“After Poe and I crashed in the desert, BB-8 and her attacked me cause they thought I stole Poe’s jacket,” he replied.
You smiled, “That must have been an interesting meeting.”
He had a certain look in his eyes as he reflected upon it, “Yeah, and I’m gonna get her back.”
“Hey,” you made sure he looked at you, “we’re going to get her back. I’ll make sure of it.”
He looked at you for a moment as he pondered, a satisfied determination coming onto his face as he gave you a solid nod. You and Finn finished readying the explosives and got them onto the Millenium Falcon as the conversation between Han and Leia had finished.
“Alright, let’s get moving,” Han said as he passed by the two of you in the common area towards the cockpit.
Finn stayed behind to finish up a few things and you followed along to the cockpit, Chewie already seated as Han’s co-pilot.
“Chewbacca, it’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Y/N Y/L/N,” you introduced yourself to the Wookie.
He turned to face you while seated and growled a few times, letting you know you could call him Chewie and that it was nice to meet you too.
A smile crept up your face at his kindness before Han cut it off abruptly, “Enough with the pleasantries, Chewie landing gear and shields.”
Han seemed a bit bossy as you could tell this cockpit was where he was in his element, Han pushing and flicking buttons left and right as he prepared the ship to take off. You wanted to initiate a conversation but felt a bit awkward as you didn’t want to interrupt.
Seemingly, Han was able to understand that and said aloud without even looking in your direction, “Something you need?”
You were caught off guard, “Oh, I just- wanted to get to know the two of you a bit better at least before we go off to our certain deaths.”
Han just so ever chuckled, though it was so faint you weren’t sure if he even did, “Nothing much to learn,” the ship began taking off and he took at the controls, “we’ve been all over, seen all kinds of things, and we’re smugglers. What’s your story, kid?”
You internally chuckled at him calling you ‘kid’ as you were much, much older than him but let it go nonetheless, “Not much to tell either, haven’t really been anywhere in the galaxy, kind of a Jedi, kind of a pilot.”
“Kind of? Fuck is that supposed to mean?” he asked.
“Good question,” you simply responded with.
He finally turned to look at you for the first time in the conversation and narrowed his eyes a bit to really get a good look at you, “Leia told me about you.”
You shifted in place, “I see, and what exactly did she tell you?” “Enough to know I won’t have to babysit you out here, already been doing enough of that lately,” he trailed off as he returned to flying the ship and jumping into hyperspace.
“I’m here to watch your backs, and to help with the mission, though I’d rather get to know the two of you as I’ve heard a lot.”
Chewie growled in response and Han responded, “Your favorite food? Really?”
You smiled, “I don’t really have a favorite, I’ve just been eating ration packs mostly.”
“You’ve never had a meal outside of a ration pack? The rebellion keeping you prisoner or something?”
You chuckled a bit, “Long story, but no.”
“Always a long story with Jedi,” Han sighed.
You had half the mind to bring up Kylo as you were most likely heading straight towards him, but didn’t want to overstep and piss off Han as it seemed he wasn’t the type to talk about sensitive things with people he just met... or just in general.
Luckily, Finn came into the cockpit shortly after, “Alright, how are we getting in?”
“Their shields have a fractional refresh rate,” he turned to look at Finn for a moment. “Keeps anything traveling slower than lightspeed from getting through.”
Your eyes widened.
“We’re making our landing approach at lightspeed?” Finn asked incredulously.
Chewie made a noise in response, saying that was exactly right.
“Chewie, get ready,” Han said.
You instinctively grabbed at the wall and sat down behind Han in preparation as you knew what was about to happen, Finn also sitting behind Chewie.
“And... now!” Han yelled as he flipped the switch to bring you out of hyperspace.
As soon as you left lightspeed, the first thing you saw was a snowy mountain... literally feet in front of the ship as you were barrelling towards it.
“Watch it!” you yelled, unable to keep quiet.
Chewie growled as well at the same time.
“I am pulling up!” Han shouted tightly as his body tensed and he yanked at the controls.
You had just barely managed to avoid the mountain but before you could breathe a sigh of relief, your body was tossed as you had flown straight into dozens of trees just on top of the mountain. Chewie vocalized again.
“I get any higher they’ll see us!” Han yelled back.
“This was a terrible idea,” you muttered.
You had finally broken through the trees... to come slamming down on the ground, your head nearly hitting the roof of the cockpit. The ship slammed into the ground a few more times before sliding alongside the surface of the snow. You glanced out the window as you were being tossed around to see a cliff just ahead and you gasped. Luckily though, the ship came to a halt just before falling off, the right side of the ship slightly hanging over the edge.
“Honestly, I’m just amazed that we’re all in one piece,” you said as you huffed and ran a hand through your hair.
Chewie growled, saying he agreed.
“Alright, let’s get moving,” Han said.
After putting on heavy clothing to fight the cold, the four of you trekked out through the snowy mountains towards the service station you were going to enter the compound through.
As you arrived, you slammed your bodies up against the side of a structure in order to avoid being spotted, “The flooding tunnel is over that ridge. We’ll get in that way.”
“What was your job when you were based here?” Han asked out of curiosity.
“Sanitation,” Finn simply responded.
“What?” you asked incredulously.
Han grabbed him by the collar and dragged him back a bit to slam him up against the wall, “Sanitation? Then how do you know how to disable the shields?”
“He doesn’t,” you sighed heavily.
Finn looked at you for a moment before turning back towards Han, “I’m just here to get Rey.”
“You absolute idiot,” you muttered as your hand came up against your forehead.
“People are counting on us. The galaxy is counting on us,” Han reminded him.
“Solo, we’ll figure it out,” his voice dropped to a whisper for some reason. “We’ll use the force.”
Your eyes snapped to him and you stared at him like he grew a second head, “That’s not how the force works!”
“That’s not how the force works!”
You and Han said the same words at the same time, though you amended your statement, “Well actually... in my case it does.”
Han was about to question you before Chewie growled behind him, “Oh really? You’re cold?” Finn took the opportunity to slip out from Han’s enclosure, “Come on!”
He rushed towards the flooding tunnel and the rest of you followed. It was a bit difficult to not get spotted but the four of you managed to avoid the droids and security personnel until you got to the tunnel and entered the facility. You eventually reached a corridor and as Han was taking point, he turned to face the rest of you.
“Alright, from here on, it’s gonna get messy.”
You barely had any warning before he slammed the button on the console, opening the blast doors just for a stormtrooper to be right on the other side. You were in the middle of reaching up your hand to force push them but Chewie managed to be faster and worked in coordination with Han, having his crossbow already aimed and blasted the trooper a solid six feet back to slam into a wall.
“The longer we’re here, the less luck we’re gonna have,” Han said as he tossed a bag behind him.
“If we can get to the console that controls the shields, I think that I can take care of them,” you mentioned.
“I actually have an idea about that,” Finn said.
Next thing you knew, you were hiding in a corridor and when a silver colored suited trooper came out, Chewie was tackling them to the ground.
You actually chuckled a bit, “Kidnapping, I wonder what I’ll get to do next.”
Chewie stood the trooper up as their weapon got tossed and Finn got in their face, “You remember me?”
“FN-2187,” they stated almost robotically.
“Not anymore. The name’s Finn, and now I’m in charge! I’m in charge now, Phasma. I’m in charge!”
“Ok, bring it down, bring it down,” Han basically coached Finn.
Finn straightened himself up a bit and whispered, “Yeah. Follow me.”
Your group went over to where the shields were managed, Finn knowing where the room was. As you got in, he led Phasma over to the console and directed them to disable the shields. Afterwards, you waited for a few moments, at the door with Han watching for anyone who might be coming.
You turned back, “Hurry it up.”
Finn walked up to Phasma at the console, “You want me to blast that bucket off your head? Lower the shields.”
“You’re making a big mistake,” they responded.
Finn raised his gun at their head, “Do it.”
Chewie growled as well to back him up. After a few clicks at the console, a noise whirred and the display showed the shields beginning to disable.
Finn noticed and turned to walk towards you and Han, “Solo, Y/N, if this works, we’re not gonna have a lot of time to find Rey.”
“Don’t worry, kid,” he walked up to him. “We won’t leave here without her.”
The shields had been completely shut down at this point and Phasma stood from where they were sitting to turn and face you, “You can’t be so stupid as to think this will be easy. My troops will storm this block and kill you all.”
Finn raced up to them and raised a gun up against their chin, “I disagree.” He turned to face you all with an unserious look on his face, “What do we do with her?”
“Is there a garbage chute? Trash compactor?” Han said with wonder.
Phasma’s head turned comically towards Han as Finn smiled, “Yeah, there is.”
“You guys are insane... let’s do it,” you stated.
After literally throwing them down the trash compactor, your group moved away to try and begin looking for Rey.
As you were walking down the corridors, Finn turned to you, “Can you... sense Rey? Like through the force or something?”
You tilted your head a bit, “I could but if I do, that means I basically announce our presence to Snoke or Kylo.” You could sense Han’s trepidation at the mention of Kylo but he did well to hide it on his face, “A confrontation with them is the opposite of what we want, we need to get Rey and get out, our job is done here.”
Han made no move to agree or disagree with you, simply walking along the corridor but you could sense the conflict within him. You felt terrible. Han and Leia wanted their son back no matter what happened and you understood that, yet to Han’s face you told him we couldn’t waste any time trying to confront him. Though you knew you couldn’t interfere with Rey and Kylo as they had to have their story play out, for if you did anything, you could risk something even worse happening. Eventually, your group got to a restricted corridor that you couldn’t get through.
“We’ll use the charges to blow that blast door. I’ll go in and draw fire, but I’m gonna need cover,” Finn said to Han as your group posted up in the corridor.
“You sure you’re up for this?” Han affirmed.
“Hell, no,” Finn replied honestly. “I’ll go in and try to find Rey. The troopers will be on our tail, we have to be ready for that.”
You couldn’t tell what it was but you felt your eyes draw towards the window that was behind Finn. As you did, you could just barely begin to make out a figure that was crawling up the side of the wall.
“There’s an access tunnel that leads,” he stopped as Han was nodding his chin forward to goad him to turn around and look, noticing the same thing that you did. “Why are you doing that? Hm? Why are you doing this?” he began to enact the same thing Han was doing to him in a more exaggerated manner. “I’m trying to come up with a plan.”
Hann tapped his chest with his gun and pointed the barrel towards the window and Finn finally turned around. As your group approached the window, a lighter tone took over the group as you could sense they all had gotten to like each other quite a bit. Finn chuckled as he approached the window and turned to go down the corridor, presumably in the direction of Rey to meet her. The group followed along and eventually, you bumped into her. She raised her gun immediately in your direction and the whole group threw their hands up.
“You all right?” Han asked as everyone recognized each other.
“Yeah,” she responded.
“Good,” Han replied as he looked off to the left to make sure no one was coming.
You didn’t even have to sense her to know that she was clearly distressed, nervous, and extremely confused, it was written all over her face.
“What happened to you? Did he hurt you?” Finn rushed to her.
“Finn, what are you doing here?” she asked.
“We came back for you,” he whispered with passion.
Chewie growled behind him and Finn asked, “What’d he say?”
“That it was your idea,” she said before she wrapped him in a large hug. “Thank you,” she whispered into his shoulder.
You could sense Finn’s happiness before confusion crept in, “How did you escape?”
You had a theory as you felt her connection stronger than you did previously but let them have their reunion.
“I can’t explain it, and you wouldn’t believe it,” she responded.
Han returned, “Escape now, hug later.”
They broke their hug as the five of you began to rush down the hallway. The moment the blast doors opened to the surface, your ears were met with the sounds of warfare. As you stepped out, you were met with the visual of the sun being drained, along with cannons and fighter aircraft zooming through the sky. A ship crashed just ahead of your position as all of you finally got solid boots on the ground.
“They’re in trouble, we can’t leave,” Han announced.
You nodded, “There has to be more we can do on the ground.”
“My friends got a bag full of explosives,” he turned to face Finn. “Let’s use them.”
Without any more words, all of you knew what to do and headed towards where the resistance was attempting to destroy.
As you walked along, you addressed Rey, “Hey, I know you don’t know me, but I’m Y/N. We can have a more proper introduction once this is all over.”
She looked at you for a moment as your group moved along and you could tell she had so much on her mind she was barely taking in the information even though she responded curtly, “Yeah.”
“You two,” Han motioned to Finn and Rey, “go up top, we’re gonna need you to get the security doors open. The rest of us will plant the charges down below.”
Finn and Rey nodded and gave you the explosives, splitting off from your group.
You finally arrived at the entrance to the precinct and got ready to infiltrate at the door. As you pushed a button to open it, Han and Chewie posted up at the front with their guns at the ready to fire at any troopers on the other side. You unclipped your saber and held it in your hands, not lighting it just yet, but having it ready in case. To your luck, there were troopers on the other side that you immediately got into a fire fight with. Chewie, Han, and you poured into the facility and they slammed their backs against walls for cover. You ignited your sabers finally, standing in the middle of the hallway as the others shot on your sides to hit the troopers. You deflected laser bolt after bolt up until Han shot the last trooper. You deactivated your sabers and clipped them back to your sides, pushing further into the facility. As you did, you came up to a series of security doors you couldn’t get through.
“Time for them to come through,” you said.
Han nodded to you and shortly after, all of the doors opened, “Ah. Girl knows her stuff.”
After walking through the series of doors, you came out to a catwalk over an extremely large chasm that was man-made.
“We’ll set the charges against every other column,” Han stated. Chewie growled in response, “You’re right, that’s a better idea. You two take the top. I’ll go down below,” he pushed a device into Chewie’s sight, “detonator. We’ll meet back here.”
Chewie growled and you responded, “Good luck.”
“I’m always lucky,” Han said as he walked off.
The three of you split and you climbed up a ladder with Chewie and came up onto the higher platform. As you did, Chewie handed you a few explosives and the two of you ran along the columns to place the charges. It took quite a while as they were a decent space apart from each other and you needed to place them in specific crucial spots but you eventually got it all done. As you were finishing up though, you heard a bunch of troops moving around on the lower level and looked down to see a squadron fanning out, looking for your group most likely. You suddenly felt a dark presence and looked off the railing downwards to see Kylo Ren walking across the catwalk.
Shortly after, you heard Han call out, “Ben!”
That was his real name. You could tell the mention of his previous name made Kylo stop in his place both physically and mentally.
“Han, no,” you said aloud.
You knew that this would most likely end terribly but Han glanced up in your direction and you understood what he conveyed to you. I need to do this. Don’t interfere.
Against your better judgment, you stood in your place and did nothing.
“Han Solo,” Kylo replied curtly. “I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”
Han began walking towards him and you heard a door open above you, to see Rey and Finn come in from outside. With the door now open, the light from outside came in to perfectly illuminate the catwalk where Han and Kylo were now talking.
“Take off that mask. You don’t need it.”
“What do you think you’ll see if I do?”
“The face of my son,” Han replied sturdily.
After a moment, Kylo raised his arms and twisted his helmet, a hissing noise following as he removed it from his head and held it at his side, “Your son is gone! He was weak and foolish like his father. So I destroyed him.”
Han began walking even closer, “That’s what Snoke wants you to believe. But it’s not true. My son is alive.” He said with conviction.
“No. The Supreme Leader is wise,” he said like a practiced response.
“Snoke is using you for your power. When he gets what he wants, he’ll crush you. You know it’s true,” Han stressed as he stepped ever closer to his son.
Kylo paused for a moment and you could feel the emotions that were threatening to rise within him, emotions he’d kept saying that he’d cut off and removed. Perhaps there was hope for him after all.
“It’s too late,” he replied.
“No, it’s not,” Han corrected as he got right in his face. “Leave here with me. Come home. We miss you.”
Kylo’s face was riddled with confliction as he took some moments to himself before finally responding, “I’m being torn apart. I want to be free of this pain. I know what I have to do but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it. Will you help me?”
You tried to assess where Kylo was but you couldn’t understand anything out of the mixture of emotions that were swirling through him.
“Yes, anything,” Han responded immediately.
Kylo dropped his helmet on the ground next to his feet, just barely sitting on the catwalk’s edge before reaching to his side and taking out his saber. He held it in front of him with both of his hands between him and his father and you looked on in distress. You didn’t know if he was about to drop it like his helmet or ignite it and use it to strike him down but you remembered that Han wanted you to do nothing. For all you knew, he was about to turn him to the light right here and now and everything you thought you knew about the nexus event was wrong.
Kylo held out the lightsaber a bit towards Han, goading him to reach out and take it. Han reached out with a hand and grabbed it just as the light from outside dimmed heavily with the sun being drained. You couldn’t quite make out what was happening anymore as you couldn’t see their hands clearly but it seemed like Han wasn’t taking the saber. Was Kylo holding it still?
Then it happened.
The next thing you saw was the streak of red that passed directly through Han’s back and knew that Kylo ignited it on purpose.
“No!” Rey screamed out.
Chewie yelled out in pain.
“No,” you whispered breathlessly as your heart sank in your chest.

Hux: "That was the last straw, my dark and edgy little friend. For cowardice in the face of the enemy, you're hereby deposed as Supreme Leader of the First Order!"
Kylo: "So, am I? And what now? Nobody's going to follow YOU! Not even us handful of shipwrecked."
Hux: "I know. But let me introduce you once again to General Dameron here! Dameron conveniently is the second in our command hierarchy, after you had the foresight to demote me yesterday."
Kylo: "What? Dameron? But... that was a scam! You can't depose me and then set a rebel on my throne!"
Hux: "Hail Supreme Leader Dameron!"
Poe: "Scam...?"
Hux: "Ah, sorry. Yes, we had you. After you lost your memory, we filled the gaps in with lies to get you on our side. Consider it payback for D'Qar."
Poe: "I expect a full disclosure over breakfast, Grand-Marshall Hux."
Hux: "Of course, Sir. I have what I wanted and quite frankly, Ren being alive to watch whatever happens next is the icing on my cake."
Poe: "Speaking of... Hand over your weapons, Mister Ren! They'll get returned to you once we figured out whether you are a threat to our organisation or not."
Kylo: "Pray tell, which one would that be? First Order or Resistance?"
Poe: "Until I've heard the full story - BOTH!"
Meanwhile Lt. Agnon seems to have decided to not get involved, lol.

“I have a job for you.”
The words hit you like a bantha to the chest. It was real. You were back. You’d tried to keep your distance. From this fight. It felt like too much. But now you had no other option. Kylo Ren and the First Order had made sure of that.
And now they’d have to pay the price.
“But first, rest,” Leia tells you with a pointed look. “I’ll have someone show you to a room,” She says as she motions for someone to come over, telling them to find you an available room.
“And get that cut on your leg checked out!” She adds as you start to walk away.
You pause and shoot Leia a glance over your shoulder. Shocked that she’d noticed what you’d considered a superficial injury.
“I’d notice your limp from a mile away,” She says when she sees your expression.
One of Leia’s aides walks you down a series of halls to a quiet part of the base away from the action and gives you a key fob that will give you access to the room.
It’s small. But nice. A cot in one corner, a refresher in the other, and a small table in the middle of the room with rows of closed cupboards lining the wall.
You manage to sit at the small table for about five minutes before you’re up again and wandering the corridors looking for the med bay.
“Come to get that wound checked?” A medic with a tablet in her hands asks when you walk through the doors.
“Oh, I’m actually here to check on a friend? Finn?” You ask as you glance down at your thigh a little self-consciously. You really didn’t think it was that bad, but everyone else seemed to notice it immediately, maybe it was the rip in your cargo pants that gave you away. Everyone else’s uniforms were perfectly in order.
“Ah,” She nods. “Well, you can do both.”
“Right, er,” You reply awkwardly.
The medic nods.
“I’ll show you where he is and then grab some materials to get you checked out.”
The medic brings you to the room where Finn is. He’s laying inside a glass pod, in some sort of body suit with tubes sprouting out of it and covering his whole body.
“They’ll be able to wake him in a few days, but for now he has to stay in the coma so he can heal,” She tells you.
“So he’ll be okay?” You ask her.
You’ve known him for a few days. You’re basically strangers. But he nearly died trying to fight Ben. To protect you and Rey. And there’s just something about the pair that makes you feel a deeper connection to them. Like you’ve known them for years.
Besides, it’s not like he has anyone else.
And you know that feeling well.
“Yes, he’s expected to make a full recovery,” She tells you with a small smile. “Can I take a look at that leg now?”
“Oh, yeah,” You reply as she gestures for you to take a seat in a chair nearby.
She brings over her own chair and you pull open the rip in your pants. The scar is already scabbed, that’s the joy of a lightsaber wound. It cauterizes itself.
The medic gets to work on wrapping the wound quickly, dabbing on a salve after she’s cleaned it, and taping a bandage over it. She’s quick. Efficient. And has no interest in small talk, which you appreciate.
Just as she’s wrapping up you’re interrupted by Poe Dameron.
“Commander Dameron?” The medic says in surprise as she looks up at him. “I don’t see any broken bones,” She comments as she gives him a once-over.
“I’m here to see Finn,” He explains as he gestures to the pod that Finn is laying in.
“I’ll give the two of you some time with your friend,” The medic tells you once she finishes with the bandage, setting your foot back on the ground before leaving you and Poe Dameron alone.
“Hey,” He greets you.
“Paul,” You reply with a nod.
“It’s Poe,” He corrects you gently.
“I know,” You reply with an awkward chuckle. “Sorry, it’s just a thing I do sometimes. Cocky pilots usually need to be taken down a peg or two.”
“Is he going to be alright?” Poe asks as he glances over at Finn’s unconscious body.
“Yeah, I think so, the coma wass medically induced so he’ll heal faster, they said he’ll wake up in the next few days,” You tell him.
In all honesty, you’re surprised he’s here. He’s known Finn for fewer days than you have. A resistance pilot like Poe has met plenty of people, and had plenty of people help them out of scrapes. Usually, they’re not the type to visit those people in the medbay. Especially when they’re virtually strangers.
“Good,” Poe replies with a nod as he looks back at you. “That’s good.”
“He’s a fighter, I mean, you should have seen him, he just picked up the lightsaber and…” You trail off.
“Lightsaber?” Poe asks, his brows furrowing as he turns to look at you again.
“He and Rey, they fought Kylo Ren,” You tell him.
“I hadn’t heard.”
“I’ll give you some time alone with him,” You finally tell him. Poe doesn’t push you, asking more questions about what you said. Nor does he seem to mind the space.
“See you around,” He replies with a nod.
You offer him a small smile.
“Poe,” You reply before heading out of the medbay. Thanking the medic on duty before heading back to your room.
The next morning you’re sitting in bed when you hear a knock at your door.
“(Y/L/N)?” The officer confirms when you open the door. You nod and they hold up a small pack. “The General wanted you to have this.”
You take the bag from them silently and they disappear back down the hallway before you close your door again and inspect the backpack.
There’s no way.
You’d completely forgotten. In the rush to leave your old life behind when you’d run off with Han and Chewie, you’d left what meager belongings you still had here on the base. And it looks like someone had been tasked with dragging them out of storage for you now that you were back.
It was just a backpack. In which you’d hastily packed everything of yours that wasn’t destroyed in the fire at the temple. You hadn’t so much as thought about it since you’d left. Never having the chance to miss what you’d chosen to forget.
You opened the bag to find the necklace you’d placed on top of your belongings before deciding to follow Han Solo and run away from your problems. The small kyber crystal’s faint glow was hardly noticeable and the thin leather cord you’d attached to it made the whole necklace rather unassuming, yet it had been your most prized possession as a padawan. You’d been out with Luke, Ben, and several other padawans to retrieve crystals so you could construct your own lightsabers. You’d grabbed a small shard, too small to make a lightsaber with so that you could have a keepsake of what had been the most important day of your life.
Now, without a second thought, you pulled the necklace over your head to lay against your chest under your shirt. If you were going to be part of this fight you were going to need every bit of positive energy you could scrap together.
The backpack then held the clothes that you’d been wearing the night of the attack. The jedi robes were so central to your identity in that past life, and were unwashed, still bearing the marks of what you’d faced before you’d fled to safety.
Beneath them was the prized possession you were both eager to find and dreading to have to reckon with. You held the cold, slick metal in your hand, it was a familiar sensation despite you being years out of practice. You hesitated before pressing the activation button as the familiar whoosh of your lightsaber greeted you. You swung your blade slowly and hesitantly to confirm you still knew how to hold it before quickly powering it down and placing it on your bed, atop the clothing.
When you reached into the bag again, trying to remember what else you’d managed to salvage, you felt it. Your fingers grazed the edges of the wooden box you hadn’t remembered taking.
Ben’s calligraphy set. You hardly remembered what had compelled you to pick up the discarded belongings as you had made your way toward your ship. But some part of you, in that moment, wanted something of Ben and so you’d taken it with you as you scrambled through the dwindling flames.
You held it in your hands, carefully examining it before setting it down beside your other belongings. You no longer had any desire to hold on to it. Not after what he’d done. What you’d seen him become.
The knock at your door jolted you out of your trip down memory lane. You quickly jumped up and opened it to reveal Poe Dameron standing on the other side.
“The general wants to see you in the control room,” He told you.
You huffed slightly before nodding, you quickly grabbed your jacket off the back of your chair and pulled it on. You saw Poe looking curiously at the belongings strewn across your bed and you glanced at your bed, hesitating for a moment before grabbing the calligraphy set and making your way out of your room.
As you shut the door to your quarters Poe turned to you curiously, “Unpacking?”
“No.” You replied harshly as the two of you walked down the hall side by side.
“Are you planning on taking notes at this meeting?” He asks.
You stare blankly at him before he nods down at the calligraphy set you’re clutching tightly to your stomach. You look straight ahead as you answer. “It’s not mine.”
“Whose is it? Because I don’t think anyone on this base even knows how to write-”
“-It was Ben Solo’s,” You tell him. He stares back at you with such a shocked expression that for a second you’re tempted to tell him that it was just a joke. But you have no reason to lie. Leia knows your history. And you won’t hide it from anyone else. Not anymore.
Poe quickly recovers and with one last sidelong glance at you and then the box you’re holding, he finally shuts up.
“General,” You greet Leia as you and Poe stride up to her.
Leia looks up from her hushed conversation with a Lieutenant. “Oh, good,” She says with a smile, “I trust that you still know how to fly an x-wing? I’d like to promote you to Captain.”
“Leia...I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” You begin to protest. Taken aback by the blunt order.
“We both know you’re overqualified for that position, but I need you close,” Leia tells you gently.
Of course, she does. You’re the loose thread tying her to her son, and now to Han. Both of whom she’s lost.
And you should feel the same way. But it’s all a bit too much.
You sigh before resigning yourself to your new reality. If you were going to stay, you needed to be useful. And after everything Leia has done for you over the years, you owe it to her to try and support her too.
“Okay,” You say after a moment. Your mouth pressed into a line as you granted her a nod. “I’ll do it.”
“Wonderful, I’ll get the ground crew to assign you to a squadron and find you a good x-wing,” Leia replies. “Connix, can you take care of that?”
“Right away, General,” Connix, the lieutenant, replies with her own sharp nod before disappearing.
“You’ll be flying under Commander Dameron,” She replies.
Poe nods wordlessly. You don’t have time to read into his quietness.
“Oh, before you go,” You add. “I-I found this with all the stuff I left here, I just thought I’d see if you’d want to keep it,” You tell her as you thrust the calligraphy set toward her.
Leia takes a moment, looking down at the box without saying anything.
“I can throw it out if you don’t! I just thought-” You quickly add at her hesitation.
“No,” Leia says gently, cutting off your ramblings. “Thank you, (Y/N).”
You nod and hand her the box wordlessly before dismissing yourself.
“Poe, walk with me,” She says.
Leia leads Poe away from the hustle and bustle before turning to face him.
“She…” Poe mutters. Shaking his head. When they’d first met he’d thought he knew her type. He’d known women like her. Rough and abrasive types from his work before he became a pilot. But every interaction since had just left him with questions. He couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
“I’ve known (Y/N) since she was a child,” Leia tells Poe. “Her father was a representative in the new Senate with me. Their family is from Naboo. And then she went to study with my brother and son as a Jedi.”
“She was the only student who survived the massacre at my brother’s Jedi temple. She’d been traveling with Han for six years. Her parents were on Hosnian Prime working with the senate when the First Order destroyed the system.”
“She’s been through so much, and she just lost three of her parental figures in one day,” “She needs to fight. It’s her nature. But I need you to watch over her. There’s only so much loss a person can take before they… break.”
“You mean... She’s a Jedi?” Poe asked in disbelief.
“She was,” Leia replied. A glint of something in her eyes as she glanced away from him for a moment. “But this war, it’s taken everything from her.”
“Protect her, Poe,” She implored him. “I need your word that you’ll keep her safe.”
“I promise,” Poe replied with a nod. “I promise.”

Two for one
FO!Finn x FO!Poe Dameron(FinnPoe) x afab!reader
Summary: You're a new recruit in the First Order, serving onboard Poe's Star Destroyer. You, Finn and Poe had your first training mission. It was quite the experience.
Cw/triggers: Threesome, p in v, oral (m! receiving).
A/n: The First Order is quite sexy. So are Finn and Poe, but as baddies.
Being new in the ranks of the First Order was a bit overwhelming, but thankfully you got lined up serving on General Poe Dameron's Resurgent Star Destroyer.
General Dameron had his reputation being calm and collected, acting competent and pretty welcoming to new faces. Not like a certain General Hux you heard so much of, being bad words mostly.
His right hand man, Commander Finn had equal reputation, but he was mostly responsible for the Stormtroopers.
Before you arrived at the Destroyer, high rank members had told you about General Dameron and Finn, Poe was once with the Resistance, their best pilot too, dashing and cocky. Finn was once in the First Order, he deserted to the Resistance thanks to Poe.
Poe eventually got tired from supporting a lost cause, resulting in him betraying the Resistance and joining the First Order. Finn decided to follow him.
Finn could have gotten executed for his betrayal, but not everyone in the First Order was pure evil, so he actually got a second chance after Poe laid some good words for him.
Poe and Finn were in the hangar of his Destroyer, waiting for the Shuttle you were in to land.
The ramp drove down, revealing General Dameron and Commander Finn, both of them had their arms crossed over their chests, looking each recruit in the eyes.
Finn was wearing the grey uniform with the hat, Poe was wearing the black one, without a hat, his curly hair are a bit messy.
You were a bit excited but also scared in a respectful way. Walking out of the Shuttle, both, Finn and Poe had their eyes set on you the whole time.
Finn spoke up first, "Rookie, eh?"
"Yes... sir." you nodded.
Poe stepped closer to you. "We two are your bosses. If anyone bosses you around other than us, you don't listen, clear?" his eyebrow arched up expectantly.
"Yes, Gene–"
"Poe."
"Understood."
Finn smiled a bit. "Ah, she's one of those recruits who got picked up by those recruiters who's expecting her to treat any high ranks the same."
Poe stepped back next to Finn, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Well," he crossed one ankle over the other. "You and I call the shots but we aren't that strict with names as long as we get obeyed."
Finn nodded. "That's right. Wanna start with the mission?" he asked.
Poe straightened once more, signaling for you to get shown to the armory for preparations. "Meet us here in 10 minutes, don't be late." he ordered, turning around with Finn, heading towards a nearby shuttle.
After everything was settled, you returned to the hangar, Finn and Poe already there, waiting for you. Finn still had his grey uniform while Poe had changed into the black TIE Pilot suit.
"So, rookie, ready for your first mission against Resistance scum?" Finn asked.
"Pretty much, yeah."
Poe approached, holding the helmet in his hand and leaned against the side of the shuttle. "Ready? Good. Let's go."
For the most part the mission went as planned. For the most part.
Now however, none of you could have predicted the mission would end like this.
Finn still in the seat of that shuttle, his uniform pants unzipped, cock in your mouth, your arms and hands on his thighs while your legs were wrapped around Poe's waist, his black suit unzipped and his cock deep inside you while holding your hips.
"Not a single word to anyone. You understand?" came Poe's voice, who was already panting.
The only affirmation you could do was nod your head and moan around Finn's cock as Poe bottomed out.
"Hey Poe, who do you think is better in... these terms, Resistance or First Order?" Finn asked amused, running both hands from your neck up to your head, the sensation making you almost drool around him.
Poe cracked an amused smirk. "First Order. Definitely. The Resistance was always too busy and scared of another attack."
Finn snorted. "Valid point." his hand guiding your movements, his hips rocking up as he felt himself getting close.
"Look at that Finn. The new recruit getting fucked by her two superiors."
"Mhm, and doing a very good job at taking us."
Poe was desperately hammering into you, hitting that spot with every thrust, causing you to almost go limb on Finn's cock, grazing your teeth along his shaft, catching him off guard.
"O-oh damn- that's it- keep– ah!" Finn released his load down your throat, you swallowed it obediently.
Poe's pounding had you see stars, your orgasm ripped through your body with full force. Poe was close behind, heaving as he released himself into you.
After a minute of catching breaths, both had released their hold on you, allowing you to stand up.
"You okay, rookie? It was quite the adventure." Finn chuckled, while Poe helped you getting dressed, dusting off your shoulders.
Poe zipped up his flight suit, straightening it. "Your next order, get back into the cargo bay, lean back and enjoy the flight back, catch some shut eye, because welcome to the First Order." Poe patted your shoulder, giving a firm squeeze.
"Hey rookie, we look forward on having you!" Finn grinned, pointing a finger at you.

Kylo outlived the war but backed off from reaching out to Hux seeing him with Poe Dameron. He looked so happy with Poe. Kylo never actually saw him smiling. In the past he thought that he need to keep Hux for himself at all costs even If redhead would hate him for it. Now the only thing he wants is for this smile on Armitage's face to last forever.
He decided to mimick Luke and go to Ahch-to. He doesn't want to say goodbye. He doesn't even know if Hux is aware of his presence on Ajan Kloss. But the day he went to his TIE, Hux is there, looking at him with blank face. Kylo cleared his throat. He practised it so many times. What his first words to Hux should be. But now he can't recall them.
"You're flying away?" Hux spoke first.
"Yes. I do. "
"Why?"
"I… figured it would be the best for…everyone"
For you. I don't want to harm you anymore.
"You figured…"
"Yes. I… i am sorry Armitage. For everything. I… do you hate me?"
"No."
Kylo fell quite and looked at the ground. Hux sighed and step forward standing closer to him.
"Just a piece of advice. If you get into that TIE. You will be Ben Solo forever. I don't know if that's a good idea for you. I guess… not really. "
"I don't know what is a good idea anymore."
"Well… maybe you should… let the past die.?" He smiled. No. He grinned. Showing his teeth. That little piece of shit. "Just… without the killing part maybe? Our new friends are not fans of that, aren't they?"
"Hux I… " Hux sighed
"Don't leave me here alone, Ren. " He said quickly. Kylo looked at him in surprise "I can't promise you anything. At all. But… if my permission, is what you need to stay. Permission granted, Lord Ren." He smiled walking off. "Ah. " he stopped "I told Dameron that if he will call you Ben one more time i will proceed with new Starkiller plans." And then he was gone.
Kylo felt pleasant warmth in his chest.

[Drabble inspired by/for @flyboypoedameron.]
[Under a cut because it got longer than expected!]
"Yes, General?" Thera thought she had decent grounds for being just a shade nervous. There were few enough beings in the Galaxy who could draw out that edge, but Leia Organa was certainly one of the few. Especially when you'd just made a wisecrack on the command bridge and been promptly summoned to her office. Privately. Door closed.
Shit, she was in trouble.
Thera took a breath, hoped for better. "You have a mission for me, Ma'am?"
"Not exactly ..." Wise dark eyes looked back at her, a stylus tapping gently in the General's hand. "I want to have a word with you about Commander Dameron."
Her own eyes closed briefly, chin lowering. Ah. Yes. She'd made a joking comment about setting fire to First Order bases and Poe had brightened like he was warming up the X-Wing already. Looking back toward Leia, a wry smirk tugged Thera's lips, "Don't encourage him?"
"Little bit more than that." The stylus was put aside, hands with carefully trimmed nails folded on the desk. "Is there something going on between you two?"
For the first time in a long time, Thera had no idea what was happening on her face. Her chest, yes - that had just tightened like a band around her ribs - but not her face. And even less idea about what to say. Something deep, almost innate, forcibly rebelled against the idea of even trying to lie to General Leia, only to run headlong into her agreement with Poe to keep things quiet for the time being. "I'm ..." Aw hell. She hesitated, but her expression had probably given it away anyhow, "not exactly sure, General." Not the fact of the 'something', but more what it was. She paused, scrunched her face a little. "Are we that obvious?"
"He is. To me, anyway." Leia returned a tiny smile, "I've known Poe since he wasn't tall enough to see over this desk. You, on the other hand, are more of a mystery."
Thera's lips parted over another ... not quite wisecrack, but half a joke, "Is this my 'shovel talk', Ma'am?"
"If you like." The smile grew a little, though still with the reserve of an officer to a subordinate. "You're both grown adults, you can look after yourselves. But you're not the open book he is, and I just wanted to make sure you knew. Thank you for your time. Oh, and Captain ... on the other matters ..." The gentle dismissal was amended last thing, with a tiny shake of her head; "Don't encourage him."

WIP Tag Meme
List all the things you’re currently working on in as much or little detail as you’d like, then tag some friends to see what they’re working on: writing, art, gifsets, whatever.
Tagged by @elsajeni (thank you)! She split hers into “active” and “abandoned,” which I’m... only sort of going to do, because everything aside from The Fic (y’all know the one by now) gets ruthlessly forced to the eternal backburner to languish the second it starts looking like it’d be enough work that it’d interfere with The Fic. Work/family life/social life/my goddamn brainweasels all interfere hard enough with the fic as it is.
Active WIPs, or: The Fic, The Magnum Opus, The Giant Sprawling Hobbit Fix-It (that @rakshasi-sue says I am not allowed to call a fix-it despite its happy ending due to all the horrible whumpy nonsense I gleefully pile onto the characters in the meantime)
Chapter Seven is happening! I have no idea yet what chapter seven will actually be about! Dunlendings with salt mines! Stonefoots with massive self-contained chemosynthesis-based cave ecoystems! My ill-advised tendency to let the fact that I personally think dicks are hilarious influence my actual writing! (I definitely called my local library and asked the poor librarian how the fuck I was supposed to research methods of salt mining in medieval Europe though! “Is this for school” she asked! And I had to stutter my way through “nnooo this is for a... uh... a fantasy novel...”!)
chapter 7 is ~5,600 words so far, bringing the fic’s total up to ~263,500 words. (FINALLY BEATING ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, HAH.)
Not Abandoned, Hopefully Will Not Take Me Much Longer
@setnet asked “POV” for the fic meme so I’m planning to scribble out the dwarven perspective on the Daeron thing (though @setnet, please feel free to request a POV of something else specifically if you’d prefer)
Probably Abandoned, At Least Until The Hobbit Fic Is Done (In Approximately 50 Years At This Rate, Ugh)
a.) Yoda dies fighting Sidious, Obi-Wan takes Luke & Leia and runs away with Dexter Jettster post-Order 66 to raise them as Jedi as best he can on a merchant freighter (meanwhile, Katooni joins the Ohnaka Gang) (meanwhile, an injured-but-definitely-alive Mace Windu finds his tiny grandpadawan Caleb Dume and they start searching the galaxy for other surviving Jedi while helping the fledgeling Rebellion)
b.) an even-by-my-standards-stunningly self-indulgent fic where Ned Stark receives a whole slew of prophetic dreams (and a dæmon direwolf) the night Aerys murders his father and brother, successfully convinces Jon and Robert that the rebellion should not be about seating someone new on the Iron Throne but rather breaking the kingdoms back into seven, and then rescues Elia and her children ostensibly as bargaining chips to get Lyanna back from her captors (but also because Ned is Ned and Ned thinks killing children is bad to do because hes not a horrible monster)
c.) ah yes, the Damerons
d.) Obi-Wan Leaves The Jedi Over A Misunderstanding; Jedi Apprentice!verse, could also be titled Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Talk Past Each Other: The Fic (don’t worry Qui-Gon manages to straighten things out and bring him back but only after a contrivedly long series of adventures that feature truly ridiculous amounts of Missed Him by That Much)
e.) Obi-Wan/Satine year-on-Mandalore (can I even call myself an Obitine shipper if I don’t have at least one of these I mean honestly)
f.) Obi-Wan/Commander Cody, Fake/Pretend Relationship For Purposes of Undercover Work (doylistically it’s also for the excuse to have Obi-Wan wear pretty skirts & show lots of skin)
g.) When Sidious commands Dooku to kill Ventress to prove his loyalty, Dooku agrees to his face then immediately comms Ventress, orders her home RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY, reveals the whole plot to the Senate, helps the Jedi overthrow Sidious & de-chip the clones, then looks really smug when the Republic agrees to recognise the Confederacy as an independent body and there’s peace in the galaxy and the Jedi aren’t allowed to hunt him down as a Sith because he’s out of their judisdiction now, and in fact they have to stand there next to Republic dignitaries at diplomatic functions between the two political entities and furiously grind their teeth at his existence (meanwhile he hasn’t noticed how much lighter his and Ventress’ auras are slowly getting oops) (meanwhile Ventress and Obi-Wan keep meeting at these same diplomatic functions and dancing incredible Force-assisted tangoes together (meanwhile in a 20 mile radius of this event bodices ripping men turning bisexual it was amazing the end))
h.) listen unfortunately I’m probably going to write a “while living in the Blue Mnts the Ereboreans encounter a dark-haired Noldo with a very sad, very beautiful voice who’s just wandering up and down the shoreline spilling haunting laments all over the landscape & they eventually get fed up & just kidnap him underground and use sacred hospitality as an excuse to be very stern about one’s need to eat” because please someone take care of my poor precious kinslaying baby
i.) I’m not realistically planning to write this one but. Stratford Festival did a production of The Changeling by Thomas Middleton and it was very good and the ending was a good ending, it was perfect and cathartic and I am so glad of it but Have You Considered A Version Where The Bad Guys Win, Sincerely, SilentStep
(it’s so easy, listen, when Alcemero locks Joanna in the room and confronts De Flores with his knowledge of the murders right outside, within earshot, De Flores hears enough and then, breathing heavily, shouts Joanna! Permission! and there’s a two-and-a-half-second extremely charged silence before she cries Granted! in a voice that nearly breaks-- and De Flores leaps forward and kills Alcemero. And then the others come in but the two of them don’t even need to discuss their story to get it straight: O, Lord de Piracquo, here is the body of the man who murdered your brother, we are so sorry you could not kill him yourself but when Joanna found Lord Alonzo’s ring in her husband’s medicine-chest and confronted him he threatened her but she had already told De Flores as insurance so he locked her up and tried to kill De Flores intending to kill her afterward but De Flores killed him in self-defense-- oh, right, sure, he had an alibi for the time of the murder, but that was because he’d paid Antonio to actually do the deed & then disappear.
The innocent Tony is put to death. Jasperino flees in the night. Tomazo departs with some closure. And for his services, Joanna manages to suggest in such a way that her father thinks it was his own idea, De Flores gets her hand in marriage.
She turns up pregnant quick enough that rumors start that her son is actually Alcemero’s-- he does resemble De Flores, but it’s hard for people who won’t look past his father’s birthmark to tell. eventually the kid goes to his mother and asks her, shaky-voiced, if she’s sure he’s his father’s son, what if he’s not, what if he’s really the son of a murderer--
and Joanna goes to her knees and takes his shoulders in her hands and looks him steadily in the eyes and says, low-voiced and sure, An thou wert the son of two murderers, it could not make thee other than thou art, nor would we love thee less.)
I mean uh..................... I have morals
unfortunately I’m... actually unsure who of you guys are writing stuff! @ravensrising, @setnet, @edgewitch, @rubyredboots, @sandovers, @notbecauseofvictories, come on anyone who writes stuff pls do this meme & pretend I tagged you I want to know what you’re working on
