Ok I bit the bullet and made an Ososan OC and his full name is Len Kanemaru.
He's the so-called perfect guy, pretty boy barista type turned up to 11, who might as well have manifested from thin air, who has genuine fanboys and fangirls, and most of the Matsunos want him fucking dead. He's oblivious to both of these aspects of the public opinion and seems kind of empty headed for the most part. He is also struggling just as badly as them but literally no one would believe him if he told them.
He also wants to kiss the oldest DESPITE the fact that his brothers are so jealous of him for being so perfect. Shenanigans ensue.
If you want a more detailed write up about him read the cut.
OK SO . Len is a guy trying his best to pretend to be an adult despite wanting to be anything but it. Unlike the Matsunos who dont pretend to be an adult and are anything but it, Len is trying to push through adult life while wanting to return to childhood when things were easier.
Sure he has a job as barista, but he's poor with money, spending it like he's still a teenager, struggles to maintain contact with people he’s befriended outside of work, DESPITE thinking people hating him is the end of the world, and surprisingly, still lives with his parents.
The thing is that he's REALLY good at pretending to have it all together. He has quite a few fanboys and fangirls and is often described as a prince. (It’s because of his charmingly good customer service skills that is his only real social experience post highschool.) But, despite being in his mid twenties, hes kind of poorly equipped socially and is unable to pick this up, despite it being clear to literally everyone.
(Like he thinks he’s being bad at pretending to be a well put together adult, and then turns around and can handle rush pretty well understaffed, not make any mistakes, and still keep a pleasant demeanor that his admirers swoon over. Anytime someone does act like a fan trying to get his love it’s met with confusion and just. “Huh.” more than anything. He doesn’t even reject them because he doesn’t realize so many people are in love with him)
This includes quite a few Matsunos who are jealous of him for being so popular (and admittedly kind of cool), find his princely yet oblivious attitude almost annoying, and somewhat creepy because of how much he knows about them from highschool. And those who aren't irritated by him are relatively apathetic towards him.
The only reason theyre so aware of him is the fact that he and Todomatsu worked at the same cafe before the latter quit. It was after he quit that Len properly met the sextuplets, having a chance encounter with the boys sometime after. Todomatsu was already irritated by him, by again, seeing above, but also because he already seemed intimately familiar with Totty during his highschool years.
It's like they had a whole classmate just manifest into being while skipping the "actually go to class together" part.
(They did actually go to school together but literally no one knew he existed during then. Not to their fault though, Len was basically that one vine that's like "I can't I have so much to do tomorrow" *fucks around on the keyboard. Because of that Len ended up being bad with people by the time he graduated and was ushered into the work force by his parents. As a result he can't really keep friends, often times contact dying off on accident. A lot of the time spent working is him TRYING his best to maintain relationships as an adult but it never really works out. Deep down Len wishes he could redo highschool, so he could not only get this skills but also find some memories that he so clearly missed out on. Because he willingly opted out of making those therefore other people don’t remember him. As far as he knows he hasn’t really had a friend since middle school.)
But like after the two and Totty's brothers encountered each other in public a whole bomb got dropped and nothing was the same.
Despite generally not liking him the Matsunos keep him around, mostly due to Totty's insistence saying they can use him (so they cant kill him yet!) but because Len is kind of bad with people in general outside of having a fandom (that, again, came with his customer service skills), and the Matsunos are the Matsunos, this never ever goes well.
Despite this and how much shenanigans the Matsunos end up dragging him into, he considers them friends since its the closest relationship he's maintained outside of his house. On top of that, he almost admires them for being NEETs. He's kind of ashamed of it, because he knows they have to be an adult, but because he's struggling so much as an adult, he wants nothing more than to be like them. He wants to stop being an adult and return to highschool.
It's why he takes to Osomatsu so much, since he seems most open about how shitty he is and how much he doesnt want to grow up. Like weirdly enough, his man-child behavior is what makes Len likes him so much. Sure he also has a big heart and loves his family, and Len can acknowledge Oso’s best aspects, but it’s the worst parts of him that loves.
And that admiration for having his character laid out flat and embracing his childishness despite his age and situation, how he practically will just grow up when he wants to rather than when he has to (unlike Len), makes the perfect man fall for the loser guy.
The more he hangs around the Matsunos the more they encourage him to tap into his evil side, and may end up making him worse, but for now he's Mr Perfect and most of them hate him for that. He doesn't get the message though so he's just kind of hanging around them for now.
Anyways he and Osomatsu are literally I'm Glad You're Evil Too to me . And also look at these sketches of him .

#txt#ososan#osomatsu-san#osomatsu san oc#Len Kanemaru (OC)#my ocs#my art#lenoso#oc x canon#when i think more in depth into his individual relationships with the sextuplets i will probably do a better write up on that#i think the sextuplets are ultimately conflicted on him but because of that conflict#especially given their opinions before they learned more about him#it comes out in hostility and jealousy#mainly from Todomatsu#and maybe choromatsu i think#ichimatsu and len actually relate to each other a lot#especially since len is kind of struggling with what ichimatsu was going through in highschool (except as an adult)#but because they dont really communicate well either they cant really have their :handshake: moment until much later#i think osomatsu is the one who bridges their gaps though and helps clear the air on both sides mutual jealousy#with len and oso having a heart to heart over some drinks (that the former paid for by blowing an entire pay check)#(Len being horrible with money moment)#but again thats much later . and i think since ososan is a bit focused show anyways#the inherent bit of Len pining for Oso while he has better suitors trying to get his attention.#all while the brothers are wishing the worst upon him#is very funny#its like nyaachan and just dont except for the part where everyone liked nyaachan because none of them like him#(osomatsu might be a bit more conflicted on him though . something something oso might have actually remembered him then. again ill think)#but theyre all kind of oblivious to everyones exact feelings going on so they just kind of hang out and hope#len will hook them up with someone (he will not)#if u want to hear more about him or have questions send me asks... i would love to share and think more about him.

Redemption v2.2
I've finally dared to edit my first fic with scenes I always had in mind but didn't manage to add to the story. I'm also fixing the long descriptions I used to do years ago. It hurts my eyes to read how I used to write, even though I keep trying to improve my writing. The principal's dialogue didn't exist but I created it to better show an OC and her motivations. Feedback is greatly appreciated :)
*****
Sitting on the edge of a building, with a book in her hands and her gaze lost in the city, Yashiro thought about the challenges ahead as her gray eyes lingered on the tall, thin, imposing Public Safety Bureau building in the distance and the surrounding skyscrapers.
Getting to her feet, she walked to the rooftop door putting the book away and slung her backpack on her back. Then she stopped and turned around again, running to the edge and jumping towards a building two meters away below.
She kept running, jumping over air conditioning units installed to climate the building's interiors. She stopped at a narrow edge for several seconds before jumping over the next building, landing on her feet on a wall. Resting a hand on it to lower herself to the ground, she continued running down the outside hallway.
Crossing a door, she entered another empty hallway where she turned left, and walked to catch her breath. She opened another door and came to an all-white office, with synthetic plants and a column that read the name of a company. A man in a suit using his cell phone in front of a counter looked up at her.
Yashiro touched a button on the wall and waited for the elevator. A young woman sitting at the counter raised her head and looked at her from behind a glass, but it was the man who began to approach. When Yashiro entered the elevator with a quick movement, she pressed the sub-floor button. The man stopped and frowned at the sight of her beige skirt and white blouse crumpled as the door closed. Yashiro turned to the elevator mirror, tossing long strands of brown hair back.
Reaching the basement, she walked down another neat hallway until she reached the street. There was a lot of movement and noise in Tokyo at that time of the morning, and she mingled among the people crossing a small square and approaching the street. Cars were coming and going, and buildings had huge billboards with neon lights.
Finally, with quick, casual steps, she reached the entrance of the Oso Academy. At that moment, Yashiro felt alive, connected to every part of the city she had walked through. It was as if every jump and every movement had released something inside her. The school had walls and trees surrounding it and separating it from the city like a medieval fortress that contrasted with the modernism outside.
She hurried her pace, crossing the garden decorated by a central statue and returning the greetings of some students she met on her way. As Yashiro passed, people turned to watch her. Some would glare at her, suddenly wary. They could not explain why they did so. Two by two she climbed the steps of the wide staircase. The principal's office was medium-sized, with a dark gray floor and beige walls. The furniture was clean and in perfect condition. There was a bookshelf and some pictures related to the history of the academy. When Yashiro entered the room, the face framed by a light gray lock beard of the principal, who was dressed in a black suit, focused on her.
"Takahashi-san, thank you for coming. Please have a seat. We have some important matters we need to discuss."
The principal smiled, clasping his hands on his desk, but the silence lingered, waiting for an apology that never came. Yashiro gazed at the man standing at the side of the office. Wearing a black vest, red tie and white shirt, Touma Kouzaburou watched her with a serious expression, between brown locks that fell to the mole under his left eye. Taking a seat, she turned to the principal, who cleared his voice.
"First, we have noticed that you have been missing some exams without giving any justification and arriving late to class. This is not acceptable in our school, where a high level of discipline and responsibility is expected. You have always been an excellent student in all subjects, can you explain why this has been happening?"
“I have been busy with other projects and personal commitments. I take responsibility."
"I understand that we all face challenges in life. I appreciate your honesty about that. But it's important that you find a way to manage them without affecting your academic performance. We are here to support you, but you need to communicate with us if you face problems that affect your studies. You have been an exemplary student so far, and it would be a shame to see your performance suffer in these last few months. I urge you to strive to maintain academic excellence to the end."
The principal paused, but Yashiro's eyes prompted him to keep talking.
"In view of these circumstances, I believe it is necessary to take disciplinary measures to ensure that you understand the importance of attendance and punctuality. However, before making a decision, I would like to hear your opinion, Touma-kun."
“Takahashi-san is an excellent student, but she needs to be reminded that talent alone is helpless in life. The idea that talent can survive all obstacles is a childish fallacy. Success requires both talent and luck. And just like opportunities, luck must be constantly helped along and provided by someone. The rarest plants are usually the most fragile and the first to perish in the face of hardships,” Touma paused and turned to Yashiro. “It takes a tough skin to face existence. Imagine those rare plants struggling to survive in a harsh winter or being mercilessly swept away by the wind. Do you believe they can withstand such adversity, let alone grow? I think not.”
The principal looked at them for a few seconds, noticing how Yashiro was frowning with her gaze fixed on Touma.
"This brings us to the second matter I wanted to discuss. We have received information that you have been involved in a science club, even though you are not an official member. Is this true?"
“It is," Yashiro looked at the principal.
“And that you have been participating in some of their activities and research. The club has research interests in the psycho pass and have been questioning its efficacy.”
“That’s true.”
"All those ideas, who gave them to you? Anyway, I don't know whether to call it authentic style, contradicting not only the principles that this academy tries to instill but those of society. Some consider you a revolutionary, and you may think you are one yourself, but you're not even that... what you're doing is crazy, sorry to put it that way."
“It's okay, it doesn't bother me.”
“You may be pleased to know that at a past meeting there was a tiny group of teachers who stood up for you. Unfortunately, those who criticized the club's actions outnumbered the rest. Civics teacher Yamazaki made this a personal matter, going so far as to mention the expulsion of everyone involved. Please note that you have provoked Yamazaki-sensei more than once.”
“Yes, I did.”
"That's the problem. Your attitude to ethics and morals. You never gave it the necessary attention. And yet you are an excellent student in all other subjects. No one denies the importance of arithmetic, history and economics, but why ignore values, the more... human part, so to speak? It's true that technical and scientific subjects are crucial for your development in the academy and for your future career. However, we must also remember that ethics and morals play an essential role in society and in making fundamental decisions in life. While you may have differences with some professors on these subjects, it's important to find a balance and value the importance of ethical reflection in your future actions and choices.”
"Is it worth discussing my choice of subjects now?"
“I'm trying to help you. You must recognize that you have been warned several times before all this happened.”
“I know.”
The principal shifted in his chair. Yashiro's eyes were fixed on him politely, only it made him feel as if he was not in that room.
"I heard about certain concerns that arose among professors regarding the lack of consistency in your work. When you were given the freedom to choose style and subject matter, professors would approve your projects without knowing how to fit those… quirks into a larger context. But when you were given a particular style, they expected to see the reflection of that approach in your creations, and instead, they were met with your excessive and unpredictable interpretations that did not fit what was required.
"While your partner Kaneko-san, a member of the club, transformed surrealism into dull, passionless modern houses, displaying a cold and disconnected view of art, you chose extremist themes that reflect a lack of understanding about the importance of collectivity and general welfare. Would you say that's doing the job you were instructed to do or insubordination?"
“Insubordination.”
"We have considered giving you a chance because of your outstanding achievements in all other subjects, but when you turn national job creation and promotion of local industries into a criticism of Sibyl and isolationism policies... really, it's already too much. I must say that I am deeply concerned about the direction you are taking with your ideas. Your questioning approach goes against the fundamental principles on which our society is based.
"It’s important for you to understand that Sibyl is a system established to maintain peace and security in our community. Your suggestions to open up to the world and eliminate import substitution industrialization could have devastating consequences for our security and well-being, jeopardizing the order and stability we have built.
"Oso Academy is a place for learning and development, but it's also a place for discipline and respect for established institutions. Your extreme views can have a negative impact on our students and community cohesion. I urge you to reconsider your views and align yourself with the policies and values we have established at this institution, as well as understand the policies that govern our society, rather than blindly defying them. How do you expect to be passed after all this?"
“I never expected them to.”
"Kaneko-san said exactly the same thing. You also leave us no choice at this point. You probably have a grudge against us..."
“I don’t,” Yashiro replied coolly.
Touma looked at her. The principal blinked silently for a few seconds, until he leaned forward with a smile.
"It's not in your best interest to take that attitude, especially after what I have to say. Why don't you take a few days to rest and think about your actions? Then there may be a chance to admit you to the club, any club you like. No promises, but consider it. For a student with such a good academic record, it's a real opportunity."
"Why do you assume I want to join that club?" Yashiro responded.
"Huh? Well, most students join a club."
“I have nothing more to learn here.”
“Say again?”
"My reasons don't concern you."
"I don't understand you," the principal said firmly.
Touma slowly turned his head towards Yashiro, not taking his eyes off the principal.
"Takahashi-san," Touma's voice was soft, but it made her look at him. "Please refrain from making such comments."
“No. I want to hear it. Please, explain yourself.”
"I understand that you may be concerned about the reputation of the academy and the possible subsidies we receive, but truth and freedom of expression are fundamental to an education," explained Yashiro.
"How dare you question our sources of funding and stability?" the principal's eyes grew wider.
"Interests can have a significant impact on the academy and the decisions made. Not only in politics, but also in research and other areas. If a researcher or academic staff member has personal or professional interests that influence their perspective, this can affect the objectivity and impartiality of their actions.
"Let's imagine that an academic is conducting research on an important topic. If that researcher has personal or institutional interests that lead him to favor or endorse it, there's a possibility that his approach and conclusions are biased. There could be a tendency to present only those results that support its efficacy, while ignoring or minimizing those that question its validity or raise doubts about its performance.
"Moreover, a lack of transparency in the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest and the methodology used in research can undermine confidence in the findings and the integrity of the academy as a whole. That's why it's good to promote transparency, peer review and critical debate to ensure that research is rigorous, unbiased and based on solid evidence.
"As students, we are here to learn. We should not be afraid of debate and discussion, but embrace it as an opportunity for improvement. It's important to keep an open mind and be willing to consider different perspectives and approaches."
"I don't need lectures on how things work in the academy. You're just a student, and you don't have the experience or the full understanding of how decisions are made here."
“That doesn't invalidate my concerns about objectivity in the academy.”
"Your concerns are nothing more than the ramblings of an idealistic student. The academy has its own procedures and standards, and you won't be the one to question them," the principal shook his head.
"If seeking truth and honesty is unwise, then I'll gladly be so. I came here to learn. When presented with projects, what I value most is learning how to approach them as if they were real challenges, seeking meaningful and applicable solutions in the outside world. I have learned a lot, even in the subjects I don't pass."
"Are you saying you would seriously implement those ideas in the real world?" the principal raised his eyebrows.
“Yes.”
“But who is going to allow it?”
“Who is going to stop me?”
The principal remained in his seat with his lips parted. Touma lowered his gaze with a smile on his lips, and his expression hardened again when the principal looked at him for a moment.
"This is unprecedented. I will not tolerate your arrogant and irresponsible attitude. I want you to pay attention to what I am about to say, because this is very serious. You have been questioning the Sibyl System and suggesting ideas that go against our fundamental beliefs. But don't you realize that the Sibyl System has been proven by all the authorities in the field? It's an advanced and proven technology that has proven its effectiveness in maintaining order and security in our society. There is a rich tradition in our current policies and beliefs, we can only respectfully follow the established principles. Who are we to question what has proven to be effective? We can only try to maintain and improve it over time."
"Why?" questioned Yashiro.
"Why, it's obvious!" the principal exclaimed.
"I don't care what people think about art, music, Sibyl or whatever. Why do I have to consider what other people think?" Yashiro held a hand out to the side for a moment, opening her palm.
"That's our tradition and society's,” he measured his voice.
"But, why?"
"How can you be so smart and so naive?" the principal raised an eyebrow for a second.
"Honestly, I don't understand," Yashiro stood up, heading to one side of the room, where there was a wooden bookshelf with books, folders, and academic pictures. "Why choose the monotony of copying and repeating what others have done before? Rules? Every material, every place and every goal is unique, but we insist on applying the same thoughts over and over again, becoming copies of our parents, who copied our grandparents and so on creating a world composed of copies where no one owns their mind and every generation thinks the same."
The principal watched her sitting slightly leaning back. Something about her confused him, not because of her words but because of the way she said them. Touma's expression did not change at the sudden movement of her body, as if it were a mere continuation of a conversation they had started before.
"But... there is nothing that has not been expressed," replied the principal in a quieter tone. "All forms of expression have already been discovered."
"Expression of what?" Yashiro leaned forward, reading the title of a book. "The high-speed train does not serve the same purpose as its predecessor, the steam locomotive. An airplane or ship does not serve the same purpose as a train. The telegraph was an important innovation in communications, but it became obsolete with the development of the telephone and more advanced communication networks. A building must follow its own truth and serve its sole purpose. It becomes alive when it reflects a central idea that is expressed in every detail.
"Each idea has its own meaning, just as each person creates his own meaning, his own form and his own destiny. Why should it matter what others have done? Why should their way be the only valid one? Why blindly follow the majority without question? Why turn truth into a simple matter of conformity? Why must everything be adapted to please others? There must be a reason. Even if I don't know it yet, I am going to search for it and understand it."
"For God's sake!" the principal exclaimed. "Don't you find it more convenient to sit down? Thank you. Now listen to me carefully. The past was always adapted to the needs of the present. No single man ever invented anything in any area. The creative process is slow and collective, each man collaborates with the others and subordinates himself to the pre-established rules of the majority."
"I have probably sixty years to live," Yashiro looked up for a moment. "I will spend most of that time working. If I don't find joy in what I do, it will be torture. I don't plan to waste it following rules or traditions. I'm not interested in approval and conformity. I'm willing to set my own standards, even if it means being at the beginning of something new and different."
"How old are you?" the principal frowned and leaned forward slightly.
"Eighteen," replied Yashiro.
"Right, that's understandable," the principal sighed and stretched back in the seat with a smile. "You'll outgrow that. The old standards have always existed and no one has been able to improve them. Modernists are merely a trend. Can you name me a single one who has achieved any permanent distinction? What's become of them now? If they didn't become criminals, they're bums or drunks who are lucky to get part-time work as dishwashers in…”
"I'm not going to talk about those men," Yashiro cut him off.
"Are any of them your friends?"
"I have seen their works."
"And what do you think of them?" the principal wanted to know. "Do you find them...?
"I said I don't want to talk about them," Yashiro insisted with her eyes fixed on the desk.
"I hope you have realized that I am actually allowing you too much freedom. I do not usually have discussions with students who behave as you do, but I want to prevent what I fear is a real tragedy: the fate of a talented young woman who wants to complicate and ruin her life unnecessarily.
"You have shown great effort in your education and are just a few months away from finishing your studies. However, there is one crucial aspect you should consider, especially given your current situation. It's important to reflect that no one is an end in themselves, but a thousandth part of the social whole. Cooperation is key in our modern world and in any profession. Have you ever thought about others?"
"Yes," nodded Yashiro.
"Thinking of others is paramount in any project. You must think of others above all else. The purpose of all expressions is to serve others. Think of the artist, who seeks to connect with his audience through his work, the singer, who seeks to excite and delight his audience with his music, or the architect, who has the responsibility to create spaces that meet the needs and desires of those who will inhabit them. It's important to aspire to give adequate expression to the aspirations of those for whom we work."
"I don't want to exist to serve."
"'Come again?" the principal shifted in his chair, frowning for a second. "You mean you want to force them to accept your ideas?"
"I don't intend to force them to think like me or be forced."
The principal exchanged a glance with Touma, then turned to her more attentively than before, as if he had understood what was confusing him about her behavior.
"Have you considered that your arguments would be more persuasive if you demonstrated a genuine interest in knowing my opinion on the subject?" the principal asked.
"Yes, but I don't care whether you agree with me or not," Yashiro replied so calmly that the comment did not seem offensive.
Touma's eyebrows raised for a moment slightly, but his gaze remained fixed on the desk.
"You seem not only indifferent to the opinions of others, which might be difficult to understand, but you also show no interest in persuading them to adopt your point of view," the principal observed.
“No.”
"But, that's… evil."
“Is it?”
"This conversation has been eye-opening, and I am pleased to have had it," the principal said in a louder tone than usual. "After hearing your opinions and views, I concur with those who expressed concerns at the meeting. Your actions and attitudes are of concern to me and other faculty members. Your disruptive behavior and your insistence on questioning the fundamental beliefs of our society and our school cause us to consider that your presence here could be detrimental to the educational environment for our students. I believe that this school was never the best fit for you. Although I have tried to be supportive, I see that you are not to be encouraged. Your thinking is potentially dangerous."
“To whom?”
The principal stood up and gestured towards the door, indicating that the interview had come to an end. Touma turned around and watched her rise from the chair to give a brief bow of her head and then leave.
"I can't believe some teachers have said she's a great woman. A great woman... or a terrible criminal," the principal shook his head, resting a hand on the desk. "It's really surprising. After all these years, it's hard for me to understand how you didn't warn of her behavior earlier, even though your ideas and hers are so opposite. Didn't you realize that she could have expressed those kinds of opinions in your class long before? It's something that puzzles me, considering your strong hold on your own beliefs and values."
"Takahashi-san speaks for herself," Touma replied quietly.
"Evidently she shouldn't. We can't allow her to. Not even you," the principal frowned in a deeper tone of voice.
"What happens to her now?"
"I am seriously considering expelling her," the principal tapped his fingers on the desk, looking at the bookshelf in the room.
Touma frowned with his eyes still fixed on the door.
"I think making such a drastic decision might not be the right solution," Touma turned around with a relaxed expression. "Takahashi-san is an independent and driven individual, and her approach to the club was never for the purpose of causing harm, but to question and explore the world around her. She has the ability to express her ideas in a... forthright and passionate manner, which can generate varying reactions from others. However, she has always been respectful and open to dialogue with those who have different opinions in class."
"I appreciate your perspective, but I can't ignore complaints from parents about the impact their actions have on the club, and therefore on the academy and the mental health of the students. I can't risk keeping someone who could negatively influence others."
"I understand that, and I agree that we should consider the welfare of all students," Touma raised an eyebrow and lowered his gaze, pausing. "But perhaps we could look for a solution that doesn't involve a permanent expulsion. We could consider a temporary suspension as a warning measure and opportunity for Takahashi-san to reflect on her actions."
"That could be an option, but I would need guarantees that the science club's activities would not cause further conflict," the principal tilted his head to one side for a few seconds.
"I understand your concerns, but I also want to point out that several students have found value and enrichment in the club's discussions," Touma waved his hand.
"Still, I cannot allow this to continue. I will cancel all club activities. In addition, I will suspend all students involved. I cannot allow Takahashi-san's influence and her ideas to affect other students. This is my final decision," the principal stated in a firm voice.
"I understand. But I ask you to consider the possibility of allowing Takahashi-san to continue at the academy after the suspension. Machiavelli said that sometimes it's necessary to make firm and drastic decisions to maintain order and stability in an institution. However, it's also important to know how and when to show clemency," Touma turned his head to the side slightly, squinting his eyes. "Allowing Takahashi-san to continue at the academy after the suspension could be an opportunity to show wisdom and prudence. Sun Tzu also mentioned that the best victory is the one in which one avoids destruction and succeeds in transforming the enemy into an ally. Likewise, allowing Takahashi-san to learn from her mistakes and continue her education here could be a victory for all of us."
"I'll think about it, but I can't promise anything," the principal turned in the chair looking at the wall on one side of the room.
"Let me talk to her. I promise I will guide her and help find a way to balance her convictions with the general welfare of the academy. If after that you feel more drastic measures are necessary, I will accept your decision."
"All right. I accept your proposal for temporary suspension and your commitment to supervise her activities," the principal sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. "But you must understand that any further problems will be grounds for immediate expulsion."
"Of course," Touma gave a slight bow of his head in appreciation. "I'm sure she will understand as well and learn from this experience. I don't think it's necessary to take such drastic measures, especially considering the time of year we're in."
"I hope so. You may leave."
Yashiro walked slowly through wide, long corridors, down the staircase and out into the garden. She had met many men like the principal, but she had never understood them. She only knew that there was a difference between her actions and theirs, but it did not bother her. Sometimes, she wished she knew what made them the way they were. There was a principle she needed to discover.
"Takahashi-san," an older professor who had been teaching arithmetic at the institution for years greeted her with a brief smile. "I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for what happened. I hope you were not discouraged by these recent events."
"Don't worry. It doesn't matter," Yashiro nodded.
"You must feel it's completely unfair," he commented after a pause, lowering his gaze.
“I didn't think so. What's wrong?”
The professor frowned at her for a moment, then turned to the building in front of them separated by a large garden. Yashiro's tone denoted surprise, like strangeness at the surprise on his face.
"Sometimes I miss the days when this school was a place of debate and discussion, of competing ideas. It was a different time."
“Did you live through that time?” Yashiro asked.
"Yes, I did. I've seen how the country has changed drastically all these years. You and your friends made me remember something I had forgotten, that I didn't know I might miss, though I'm not sure what it is," the professor raised an eyebrow.
"I get what you mean. Sometimes I wonder what it was like growing up in a world like that," Yashiro replied casually.
At that moment, the professor looked at his watch and sighed.
"I'm sorry I must go, I have a class in the other building. But it's been nice talking to you, Takahashi-san."
"Thank you. It's been a pleasure for me too," Yashiro replied. "Someday, I'd love to hear what life was like before."
The professor smiled and bowed in farewell, heading towards the other building. Yashiro stayed a moment longer in the garden, until she entered the building and headed for the bathroom. Inside, she sighed and relaxed her shoulders, looking at the dark circles under her eyes in the mirror and washing her face with water.
At that moment she saw a girl with glasses coming out with a cane from the last toilet cubicle, and three others waiting outside surrounded her. Two girls next to Yashiro who were washing their hands looked at them and left the bathroom without drying their wet skin.
"What are you doing here? We were looking for you."
One took the cell phone from her and raised her arm, taking a few steps back. The three formed a circle, tossing the cell phone to each other as the girl approached one of them. Since the three were taller, it was basically impossible for her to reach it. When the one with long blonde hair grabbed her by her red scarf around her neck, raising the arm with which she had her cell phone, she leaned towards her.
"Why don't I just smash it already?" she asked, gritting her teeth and staring at her.
Suddenly, her eyes squeezed shut and a grunt of pain escaped her lips, as Yashiro grasped her hand, pulled out her cell phone and then pushed her away. Turning around, she handed the cell phone back to the one with glasses, who blinked gawking at her.
"W-What are you doing? You shouldn't have..." she mumbled, shaking her head and grabbing her cell phone.
“Who’s this?” another asked.
The blonde grabbed her wrist and closed and opened her hand with a grimace of pain, looking at Yashiro, who went to get her backpack that she had left on the ground a few feet away. When she bent down to grab it someone else did it first.
“Get lost,” Yashiro narrowed her eyes.
The girl stretched her arm towards the collar of Yashiro's blouse, but she pulled away by grabbing her wrist and pushed her aside. Her body slammed against a half-open door of one of the toilet cubicles, and despite grabbing hold of the frame she fell in front of the toilet.
“Darn it!” she grunted in pain.
“Have you lost your mind?” another raised her voice.
She pulled on Yashiro's arm, but Yashiro turned around and gave her a light kick near her ankle, causing her to take a few steps back and lean against the wall, lifting her leg and gritting her teeth. Suddenly, Yashiro felt an arm wrap around her neck tightly.
“Crazy brat, who do you think you are?” the blonde muttered in her ear, grabbing her own arm with one hand.
Yashiro pushed back, but could only take a few steps. The other woman lunged toward her, but Yashiro kicked her in the stomach and knocked her to the ground. Turning to the side, she put her foot on a door frame and propelled herself backward. A grunt of pain echoed through the bathroom as Yashiro slammed her against the counter.
The one who had fallen into a cubicle got up, but when she tried to grab Yashiro, she jumped up and slammed both legs into her waist, pushing her against a door and freeing herself from the grip on her neck. Coughing and bringing a hand to it, Yashiro leaned forward. However, a hand grabbed her arm again and pulled her against the counter backwards.
Yashiro pursed her lips at the slight pain in her back, and when the woman approached raising her hand, she held her wrist and elbow against her neck, lifting herself up and pushing her onto the counter. Her large brown eyes glowed, fixed on Yashiro's gray ones. She gasped, feeling the tension in her arm and back, as she held Yashiro's shoulder with one hand.
"You think you're a queen but everyone at home treats you like a pawn," Yashiro observed in a serene tone.
The blonde frowned, but as soon as her lips parted, Yashiro pulled and pushed her to the side, causing her to fall to the ground and stagger herself. She then walked to where her backpack had fallen and slung it on her back. The girl in glasses stood motionless against a cubicle door watching the bodies move on the floor.
"You okay?" Yashiro looked her up and down, causing her to blink and flinch at her composed voice. "Come on."
"Why did you do that?" she walked behind with the cane, stepping out into the hallway. "You didn't have to. It's wrong. And now... now they'll come for you. What's your name?"
The dining room of the Oso Academy was large and majestic. A silence spread throughout the room. Staring blankly at the table, Yashiro did not notice the student who had entered the dining hall, followed by the glances of the rest. When her shadow was cast beside her, she managed to catch her attention.
“Unusual to see you worried," said a perfectly measured female voice that seemed to dance in a soft whisper yet disturb the atmosphere like a melody.
Yashiro smiled for a split second, utterly oblivious to the casual murmurs and laughter coming from the other adjacent tables. She looked up to focus her full attention on the tall, slender girl, who was noticed by many of her admirers especially because of her long black hair, which was always flowing down to her waist, imposing a magical yet simple elegance.
Yashiro raised her head slightly at those amethyst eyes, which watched with an almost palpable coldness, narrowed, something that many students did not notice. She gazed at her for a few seconds, fumbled with her fork twice, and continued her lunch, which was beginning to grow cold from the long wait. In response, the girl proceeded to sit across from her, in a refined, upright position. They usually asked permission to sit, but Yashiro had become so used to her presence that manners had long since ceased to exist between them.
Rikako was always accompanied by one or two students as if they were bodyguards, but every time she addressed her she did so on her own. Yashiro wondered what she had to hide, why she needed to protect her reputation so much the way she did. They were silent for a long while, one eating placidly and the other analyzing her every move, with that empty, enigmatic expression that so characterized her and to which Yashiro had grown accustomed.
“It's not about the club, is it?”
Yashiro wiped her mouth with a piece of cloth, leaving her hands on both sides of her tray to look at her. At that instant, Rikako pursed her lips proudly and leaned forward clasping her hands together, to rest her chin on them. Her eyes were fully fixed on the person in front of her, as if memorizing every expression or detail displayed.
"How are you doing with your drawings?" Yashiro asked. Rikako watched the cold silver in her eyes, prolonging the silence. "I see. I could help you find inspiration."
After a minute, having finished her lunch, Yashiro stood up with casual, careless movements.
“As thanks, I'll make an exception by letting you see my latest work. It's not finished yet, so your opinion will be very helpful," Rikako mimicked her movement and stood in front of the table.
They stood facing each other for a few seconds. There were murmurs and glances landing on them. As they walked past, some students smiled and Rikako returned the gesture, while Yashiro kept her eyes straight ahead.
At that moment, she only wondered what work Rikako was talking about, what it would look like, what its meaning would be. Such was her self-absorption that when another student greeted her, she automatically responded with a simple nod and a broad smile on her lips.
At that hour, the corridors of the academy that connected the different classrooms were isolated and silent, and were only dazed by the gentle footsteps of both students. When they arrived at one of the art classrooms, Rikako placed her hands on the doorknob and opened it, gesturing with her head to let her in.
The room was empty with only one drawing in the corner, with its back to any possible viewer. Rikako was very cautious, she did not like people looking at her unfinished drawings. She preferred to refine them until she finally decided that she could make them public in class.
“What do you say?”
Rikako's voice brought her back to reality and Yashiro opened her eyes again. She turned to Rikako, who was sitting in front of her creation with her hands on her knees. Yashiro moved closer to study the work very closely, standing behind her. The image made her lean forward slightly.
It was a woman who stood looking up, as if observing something beyond her reach, naked and with her hands clasped together in what looked like silent weeping. Behind her was a large tree to which she was attached, as if she were part of it or subject to its presence. A few branches full of leaves covered her, but she seemed to be alone, out in the open, despite having pleasant company. Yashiro smiled and exchanged a glance with Rikako.
“I wonder what inspired you. Solitude? Blindness? The Sibyl System, perhaps?”
Rikako smiled and Yashiro's eyes sparkled as she walked down the hall, followed by her eyes. Unlike Rikako, her hair was brown and fell tousled to mid-back, though she usually wore it over her chest.
“Now... will you tell me what's going on, without changing the subject?”
Yashiro paused with a long, deep sigh as if she had known that question would reach her ears. She turned her head gently towards Rikako, who was still sitting with her straight hair behind her and kept looking into her eyes.
“I dreamed of ghosts from the past that I thought I buried," Yashiro nodded softly.
“We all have ghosts. You have to learn to let go,” Rikako's voice echoed.
“How?" Yashiro asked.
Rikako seemed to find it hard to believe that Yashiro, being older than her, was asking her for advice. It was something she would not do with other people, except for teachers. After taking a deep breath, she stood up to walk towards her, standing half a meter away.
"Accepting them, living with them, until they become memories."
Yashiro walked to the window to look out at the blue sky and the students crowding in the courtyard. She frowned for a moment, feeling a slight headache.
"Where have you been?" Rikako asked, seeing some stains on the bottom of her white blouse.
"Out and about," shrugged Yashiro. “Got something for you.”
Yashiro reached for her backpack that she had left lying on the floor and pulled out a book from inside, reaching over to hand it to her. Rikako's eyes widened for a few seconds as she opened it, and looked up at her.
"Thank you. It's hard to find copies of Shakespeare," Rikako paused, looking into her eyes.
At that moment, Rikako raised her head slightly and her lips parted, but the words did not find their way out. Her eyes, normally bright, now seemed dull. She looked at Yashiro's lips for a moment, before returning to her eyes and watching her features. However, the sound of the door opening made Yashiro turn around. A woman with glasses and gray hair walked in. She was known to the students because she had worked at the academy for many years.
"Takahashi-san, excuse me, but I was told I might find you here," the school counselor paused, looking at Rikako and then at her again. "I'm sorry about what happened this morning."
"What happened?" asked Yashiro.
"Well, there are all kinds of rumors. I can't tell you how sorry I am. That club must have meant a lot to you."
Yashiro just looked into her eyes without answering.
"Now you'll have to leave that club, and who knows what else, won't you?" the woman shifted on the spot. "But you shouldn't be disappointed, you'll be finishing your studies shortly. We have to look on the bright side of suffering, don't we?"
Yashiro turned around and walked to the window.
"Ah, Takahashi-san!"
"What?"
"The principal the principal made a call through his secretary," she explained.
“And?”
"The secretary asked me if I could please tell you that the principal wanted to see you. Why do you think he wants to see you?"
"How should I know," Yashiro turned to Rikako's drawing.
The woman followed her with her eyes, watching her slender figure move about the huge room. She feared that Yashiro might suddenly pounce on the drawing and break it, knocking the chair to the floor, though she had never shown any such inclinations. But, without knowing why, she kept waiting for catastrophe.
"Takahashi-san, what are you doing?”
Yashiro was watching Rikako's drawing, but looked up at the woman, raising her eyebrows.
"What about the principal? The principal, who is waiting for you," she shook her head.
"Oh, right. I forgot," sighed Yashiro.
“You… forgot?" her voice echoed.
"Yes."
"Well, all I can say is that you deserve it. All of it. You should hurry up and rush to his office," the counselor raised her voice.
"I'll be right over," responded Yashiro.
The woman frowned as she watched Yashiro pull her hair back with her fingers to give it the appearance of a hairstyle.
"Takahashi-san, are you planning to go like this?"
"And how would I go?" asked Yashiro.
"But it's your principal!"
"Not anymore."
The woman thought Yashiro said it happily, and for a moment she stared at her with half-open lips, until she sighed and walked back out of the classroom. Rikako could not help but smile as she saw Yashiro slung her backpack over one shoulder and hurried out, taking long strides, exchanging a glance with her.
Sitting with a forearm on the desk, the principal had leaned to one side listening to his secretary. When Yashiro walked in, his eyes glanced at her for a second, but he continued to talk to the woman about something she did not get to hear. Touma Kouzaburou was standing at the side of the room, his hands in the pockets of his dark beige pants.
"You're right on time," Touma smiled and tilted his head at her, not taking his eyes off the principal.
“Thought I was late,” Yashiro approached him.
“That’s what I mean,” he frowned, turning to her.
The secretary nodded and left the room, leaving the three alone. The principal raised his eyebrows and waved for Yashiro to sit down.
"Takahashi-san, Touma-kun, thank you for taking the time to speak with me again. I want to be clear about how we will proceed after this situation," the principal leaned his elbows on the armrests of his chair, and clasped his hands together in front of his chest. "Takahashi-san, I have decided to cancel all science club activities. In addition, both you and all students involved will be temporarily suspended as a disciplinary measure.
"I have noticed that your opinions and attitudes have been the subject of controversy among several teachers and students. I understand that everyone has the right to express their ideas, but it's important to maintain a harmonious and respectful environment at our educational institution. Therefore, I have decided that it's necessary to take additional steps to ensure that these situations do not happen again."
"I'm sure you'll find a new graduate the next time this happens. I just don't understand why you haven't yet," Yashiro commented calmly in front of his desk.
Touma frowned and slowly lowered his head, turning it towards her.
"Takahashi-san, it's none of your business to consider that," Touma's tone was unusually deep and his expression became more serious, which made her blink.
"I'm just curious. I want to know my situation. I'd like to know beforehand if I'm going to be expelled," Yashiro raised her eyebrows looking at him for a moment.
"There is no need to reach such presumptions, Takahashi-san," the principal raised his voice. "You will get the necessary information in due course. But here's what you need to know now. The only reason you have not yet been expelled is because Touma-kun begged me to give you a chance and submitted a formal plea to keep you at this academy, stating that he will be in charge of your supervision. I took his words into consideration. You can thank him for still being here."
Yashiro's eyes widened and her lips parted as she turned to Touma, who was looking at the principal.
"The suspension will be an opportunity to reflect on your actions. You should appeal to your conscience and recognize that your extremist ideas have created controversy and could raise overall stress among students. You should admit that others are right and reconsider your approaches," the principal continued, pausing, as if waiting for an apology, but it did not come. "Please note that this temporary suspension is not a concession, it's a warning. Your ideas and actions will be carefully monitored. Any misstep and expulsion will be imminent. That's all I had to say. Is there anything else you'd like to add... or explain?"
"No," replied Yashiro.
"Good. You may go now. I have matters to discuss with Touma-kun alone."
Yashiro stood up with a slight bow of her head. Her eyes met for an instant the narrowed brown ones of Touma, who had turned to face her. A smile tugged on his face, causing her to frown and walk out of the office.

since i’m coming back i also feel obliged to make an informal update post; not for anyone in particular, just as a sort of digital diary entry. ramble about the past 2+ years and what i wanna do now under the readmore
i know in retrospect, 2 years or so is not a long time at all, but it still Feels like forever ago since i attempted to be active on tumblr, mostly because of how different my interests and priorities are now. so i still think it warrants a word dump
in the past 2+ years since i’ve last been active on tumblr, i’ve let new things come along and alter my brain chemistry. 2 years ago, i was really into posting oso-san fanart, but i’m no longer interested in participating in that fandom (or what’s left of it), so i’m letting myself move on to other stuff. i was also into posting ocs, but my investment in that has died quite a bit. it’s now an interest i’d prefer to indulge privately, if at all. i was also into warrior cats, but again, that interest died down and i want to focus on other stuff. i think the only things about my activity that won’t change is posting cringe and reblogging random shit i find funny
as for what i’m currently invested in, i’m mostly into identity v now, and will most probably be an idv-centric blog. but i do still want this blog to include some general interests and personal posts as well. i’m too lazy to maintain a bunch of sideblogs. another way i’ve changed is, i haven’t discovered i’m fictionkin (that discovery was a longer time ago), but its prominence in my life grew substantially, to a point i can’t hide it without feeling suffocated. so i’m gonna use this blog as an outlet for that part of myself as well. when i was first getting into idv i never thought itd put me in the blender this bad but here i am... look how i turned out... anyway i’m also into genshin impact now, and idk how much of that i’ll post or reblog, but it rots my brain so i won’t eliminate the possibility. i can’t think of any other interests prominent enough that it’d be safe to guess it’d be a focus of this blog... i think i’ll just let my impulses guide me amen. okay fr though i’m a hodgepodge of random interests and whims so my friends and anyone who decides to follow this page are just gonna have to deal with that
as for how i’ve changed as a person, um.. scratches head... i’ve changed a lot, but not at all. my art improved a lot, i think. i’ve gone through lots of fictionkin-related self discovery and introspection that put me in the blender, and also my gender has done more cartwheels than i can count. i’ve grown up a little bit (as much as one can do when aging from 17-20 LMAO) and had many experiences, good and bad. going forward, i hope to get out of my shell more and feel free to interact with people. i also hope to become more comfortable existing online in general, and let go of the extreme lurker impulse. i discovered a lot of very skilled artists on twitter, as well as discovered very cool communities! i want in on that, and hopefully one day i can shake off the shyness
ok thats it i think... o7

🎫 here's a gush pass ^^ feel free to gush about whichever f/o you want, however much you want, then send this ask to 3 other self shippers!
OUH TYSM ANON i'm patting you on the head (´▽`ʃƪ)♡
i've talked about this with my friends last night but it's been stuck in my head ever since because it's so. it's so heartwarming yk???
as you can see, i recently got back into oso.matsu-san. and while i do love all the brothers, ichi.matsu stands out to me the most as a platonic fav. i mean like, even back when i started watching the series in 2016 i was already attached to him to some degree (aka a crush LMAOAOSJS 🏃🏻). my love for him just often gets overshadowed by oso and kara oops. but he's definitely there!!
some time ago i was wondering what happened to ichi that made him abandon his sociable personality that he used to have in high school. it's been 2 years since i last watched the movie (and my memory isn't the best), so i recently found out again that the carefree and approachable personality that he used to display, was all an act to fit in with other people. when in reality, he has always been an introvert. forcing to put on this mask drains him because he's trying too hard.
and i relate to that somehow. kiki relates to that. i haven't mentioned this info here but she works as a preschool/elementary teacher. she has to constantly put up a smile to assure her students that nothing will go wrong throughout their day. especially since it's children she's dealing with, they're sometimes quite a hassle because they're so hyper and energetic yk. she has to have a lot of patience when talking to them. and that's quite tiring isn't it?
so i imagine, when kiki and ichi somehow gets the time to be alone together, they open up to each other, sharing their thoughts and experiences. i think ichi would be comfortable enough to reveal his vulnerable side because he has always considered kiki as a big sister due to how kind and inclusive she is.
(huge credits to my friend for this suggestion, yk who you are) when the topic of school comes up in their conversation, ichi would remember how he used to be like. upon hearing kiki's experience, he feels... empathetic towards her. he randomly blurts out, "i think you would be my favorite teacher if you were in my school." which makes kiki tear up!!! and ichi starts to panic, because he didn't mean to make her cry. just about when he starts to apologize, kiki assures him that she's just really happy to hear such a statement from him. this gives ichi a sense of accomplishment, because he finally found someone whom he can understand and be understood by.
ever since then, they like to hang out and just chill when everything gets overwhelming. but it's also funny because like, ichi is known to be the president of the kara.matsu slander club (or at least that's how he is portrayed in the first season) /exaggerated. out of respect for kiki, he would tone down his bullying but he would also hate it if kara points it out BABAHAHAHS
Tumblr media
i still have to gather my screenshots but have this!!! i am cradling him <3

I noticed that I’ve been getting blocked by a lot of Ososan artists lately and... At this point I’m sure it’s because of bad rumors and misinfo getting spread about me in discord servers. I’m going to put a lot of this under a readmore because I don’t want to clog people’s dashes with this, but I really want to clear the air here as I feel like there are a lot of things being left out of the narratives people are telling about me, and also the fact this is still happening and has been for four-five years, isolating me from a lot of the ososan community and hurting me in a very deep way...
Now, first off, I’m not here to say that over the past 4-5 years I wasn’t immature and childish. There were many times where I was, even to the point the behaviors could be seen as abusive or toxic even if that wasn’t the intention. I was in my early to mid 20s and had serious issues with oversharing my thoughts and feelings with people I really only knew casually, usually to the point of making them uncomfortable. I would also use all caps a lot, not really realizing the effect it had on people, making others feel like they were being shouted at. I would also act immaturely when I saw that other roleplay blogs were getting more attention than mine, even though the ones I had were for OCs, which meant that of course canon characters would get more traction.
Again, I was very young and not very socially developed. I am by no means trying to use my autism as an excuse, but rather an explanation.
Prior to getting into Ososan around 2016, I did not have any “real life” friends, that is, friends I knew in person. I did not know anyone my age and socializing was, and still is pretty limited to just my immediate family. Almost all of my interactions were online, and even that I struggled with. I had recently gotten out of an abusive relationship as well, and was just starting college. I did not think about how others felt enough and was too concerned with saying my piece and sharing my own opinions, making everything about me or about how I felt, and less about the other person. Again, this is something I’ve struggled with for most of my life as part of my ASD, but I’m still not excusing it by any means, especially considering the fact that other people ended up hurt.
I think the main issue was how immature and self-focused I was if I’m being honest, and how I would tend to make everything about me and how I felt and what I made.
My intentions were always good, that never changed. But as people have stated to me before, good intentions don’t mean anything if the outcome is bad. My immaturity really ended up hurting a lot of other people’s feelings and causing a lot of resentment, and I am by no means saying that anyone has to forgive me or be “ok” with me.
What I do wish though is that perhaps people who I have had struggles with in the past could refrain from spreading biased opinions of me to people who have never even met me. I understand wanting to support your friends, and I also understand that when someone you know tells you someone is “bad news”, it’s natural to take their word for it, especially if they only show screenshots of me at my lowest rather than when I was trying my absolute best to be a good friend, despite my immaturity.
However, I’ll be honest and say that I do think that this behavior in general seems counterproductive and perhaps even concerning... If there’s someone that upset me in my past, I don’t tell others or divulge about them to new people I meet unless I felt they did something actually illegal. I remember misinforming about someone in the ososan community based on false claims and I still feel guilty about it to this day, so I’ve also been guilty of this in the past. It’s also important to keep in mind that if someone is really making someone out to sound terrible or horrible that there is usually a bias clouding their perception. I've sat and reflected a lot on my own biases these past five years in therapy, and at the end of the day, I don’t think most people have bad intentions, at least not lonely kids in a small fandom. I think it’s a lot of miscommunication, lack of confrontation, and fear rather than any malicious intent.
Because if there’s one thing I know that I’m not, it’s a manipulator. I straight up do not have the social intelligence for that. I would all caps, I would get upset and leave chats and worry people, I would go on rants that people couldn’t talk me down from, or get too emotionally volatile, or put my own emotional issues onto other people by panicking and venting and putting on a scary and upsetting scene, but I never tried to manipulate anyone or turn anyone’s friends against them. The only two instances I can think of that even come close to me “warning” anyone about someone (and not for blm*tsu related reasons) happened in 2018 and 2019, well after all of this was (I assumed) done with.
Most of my issues that people have gotten upset with me for was regarding my social immaturity, self-centeredness, altercations, public panic attacks, public mental breakdowns and a tendency to go off on emotional and heated rants, especially in public areas and in public chats. That’s why this thing about me being a manipulator seems misinformed to me, because I’ve never been great at DMing or talking to others one on one, I think anyone that’s known me will agree. Many of these altercations happened in public group chats.
I’m assuming that many of the bad rumors being spread about me are regarding my skype days back in 2016-2017, back before discord became the new norm for online chatting and servers and such, as well as a very specific “drama” that happened on anti-bl oso-twitter concerning people that had met in an osomatsu-san kin discord server (which I was not in or even knew about).
Essentially, I befriended some of these people on twitter through people that had been in my second skype roleplay group (the first one I made was in 2016 I believe). I was unaware of any previous dramas or issues and was even unaware that said “person of interest” was even upset with me or thought I was toxic or bad. I had figured we had just stopped talking due to naturally drifting apart. Of course, in my young and naive mind, before understanding “social media etiquette” I went to go ask them why they had blocked me on twitter (I had started being active on twitter during that time.)
And of course, in my immaturity, was freaking out and panicking about having been blocked by someone I thought was a friend to people in my second roleplay group chat... As always... Ugh.. It wasn’t anything malicious though, just confusion and me being scared I had done something wrong.
One member in the roleplay group though, who I guess was a member of the osomatsu-san kin discord, started going off about said “person of interest”, claiming they had gotten their friend into a car accident and that they had groomed minors. Another person in the roleplay group felt the allegations were crazy and unfounded and left. Meanwhile, I was just lost as to what was even happening, I wasn’t aware these people were this connected or knew each other and admittedly, did a pretty poor job as a mod/admin that I didn’t stop the discussions sooner.
I have no idea if the claims were true or not, I imagine they were exaggerated due to bias, I have no idea, but then the same person who had made those claims showed me screenshots that “person of interest” sent to their mutual friend about me. How I was scary and toxic, that I had upset lots of people.. That they were panicking that I even contacted them on tumblr with a friendly “hello!”
Naturally, I responded with confusion. Again, my autism makes it very difficult for me to realize when people are upset or frustrated with me, especially over text. At the time, I couldn’t think of anything I had done to upset them and was very hurt and confused, as our last actual interaction had been seemingly positive.
I did not try to turn anyone against them though. Here’s what actually happened: After being given this info, I also learned that there was a small discord group of the friend group that the person making the claims was from. I joined it hoping to learn more or get some sort of clarification only to find out that this entire group was very upset with “person of interest”. Like very upset. They made claims that this person lied, that this person liked to play victim as a way to manipulate others, that they had groomed two of the people in the group, that they had said unsettling things, that they would do strange and backhanded things ect. Again, I don’t know if these statements are true and I’m not trying to claim they are, I just know that this group of friends had been very upset with "person of interest” before I had even come into the picture. They were already planning on cutting them off!
I did not sway anyone or say anything, I was literally just there in the hopes of finding out if I’d done something wrong.
Of course, this doesn’t at all excuse when I was still friends with “person of interest” and subjected them to my barrage of emotional baggage and panic attacks. I just want to make it clear that I never sent anyone after them or tried to turn their friends against them. In fact, I even tried to help them when they came to my twitter DMs asking me for help. I was already incredibly scared of pissing anyone off in general, and tried to keep things peaceful on both sides. When I asked the second roleplay group if they’d be okay with them rejoining, it was a unanimous “no”... I distinctly remember offering to still roleplay with them one on one and to make a new group that they could be in (and this was even after I had been shown the screenshots of them calling me toxic, which I still wasn’t holding against them!), but the offer was turned down.
I’ve noticed this very distinct pattern over the years of me running into a lot of issues due to miscommunication as well. It was very rare that people would express with me how they were feeling, or when they did, it was usually during one of my panic attacks, which were often bad enough that my brain would repress the memories of what happened during them the second they stopped, and it was rare that I would actually go back and read the things I said. People have had a very easy time going to others and complaining or venting about me to friends, but have had a very hard time actually telling me these complaints themselves, as themselves. I don’t really blame them, as we were all pretty young and given how much I freaked out publicly, it would make sense to be scared of how I might react. Not to mention there were probably things in their own pasts that made something like confrontation difficult. However, what I don’t understand is why this would still be happening five years later... I would assume by this point people would have moved on, especially regarding spats within fandoms.
I hold no ill will towards people in my past who’ve gotten upset with me, I do not hold grudges, and for the most part, if someone wants to cut contact with me, I just accept it and move on. But now that I’m noticing that these false claims are being spread around to other people in the fandom, people who weren’t even involved in these situations, blocking me based off of... Stuff they’ve heard about me... I felt a need to say something.
Honestly, my biggest wish or hope is that, given that it has been five or so years, that people who have never spoken to me or met me before maybe give me another chance? If I have personally hurt you, I don’t want you to feel the need to reach some sort of conclusion with me, or forgive me, or whatever...
But at the very least, perhaps people could be more careful when sharing personal issues we went through with other people, people who know very little about me and who I am and only know me through the lenses and narratives of people who felt slighted by me.
I have changed immensely over the past five years, more than I can even describe. I am not the same person mentally that I was, I have had therapy, I have had help, I have reflected, I have become more sensitive to other people’s thoughts and feelings. I even managed to help a friend of mine get therapy! I was not perfect, I behaved irrationally, but I do think it’s important to drive home the fact that it has been a few years and that I’ve made a lot of progress and that as I’m nearing 30, I have mentally matured quite a bit.
Again, no one from my past has to forgive me, I am not here to dictate how people should feel about me. I am just here to try to share my own side seeing as how I am unable to join most ososan servers and communities nowadays, and thus have a harder time being able to get in contact with or reach others.
I’ve been dying to say something, but kept worrying that it would stir up negative feelings or memories for others, but it’s getting to a point now where I’ve felt so isolated and hated by the fandom for five whole years that I’ve actually started having thoughts of self-harm again for the first time in awhile. I’m not saying this to make anyone feel guilty, and I haven’t acted on the thoughts, I just need to be honest.
This sort of behavior on the internet; gossiping about others, spreading misinformation about others, using a position of influence within a fandom to keep someone from making friends in fandom spaces... Or maybe people don’t even realize how much their words can affect others? Especially if they’re well-liked and exist in a lot of spaces. I’m sure there are no actual bad intentions when people say these things or vent to their friends.
And while I explained that one specific incident in detail that was with a specific person, it is not the only issue I’ve gotten myself into over the years either. I simply spoke about that one as I am just guessing it’s the big reason a lot of this is still going on to this day. I behaved poorly enough in the past that separate groups of people have ended up mad at me, regardless of even knowing each other. I was incredibly troubled, dealing with the aftermath of an abusive relationship, overworked with my animation assignments, and incredibly clueless in social situations or trying to relate to others. Again, these aren’t excuses... But explanations. Mentally ill people are not well, that’s why it’s an illness. In 2016-2017, I was at the lowest of my low, and continued to be until around the Fall of 2019. I have also matured significantly since, and have been working with a far more effective therapist as of late 2018, which I think is why I had such a positive change by 2019, as well as finding wonderful and supportive friends who truly care about me.
I know this is getting really long, too long honestly, but I really needed to get this off my chest...
I’m trying to decide whether or not this will be one of my final posts on tumblr as a whole, as I don’t think I will be able to participate in enjoying ososan publicly with how isolated I’ve been over the years by various groups and people; I think by this point the reputation is too soured for me to be a part of the community. Again, probably not out of malice, but fear and resentment at how I’ve acted.
The fact that I’m seeing more than a few people in ososan fandom I’ve never really spoken to, or people I was mutuals with blocking me is enough I think for me to consider calling it quits for public enjoyment. The fandom is already very small, and the anti-bl side is even smaller, so everyone is pretty interconnected and rumors can spread very easily. There’s no way I can compete with that, especially if I’m barred from most servers anyways.
I’m still going to mull it over, but again, if you’ve never met me, or if you’ve only seen screenshots of me from 2016 while panicking or allcapsing or at my worst... All I can really do is hope that maybe you’ll be able to see past these things and consider giving me a chance.
As for the people I genuinely did hurt, I know I’ve said sorry many times now, even on my old blog Nutastic which I abandoned for similar reasons, but I don’t know how else or how better to prove how genuinely sorry I am... Because the proof of regret is in changing and becoming a better person, and there’s not much chance to see if I have or haven’t if I’ve been cut off.
No one has to forgive me, but perhaps at least entertain the idea I might’ve changed over the course of five years, and that telling people how I was back then instead of who I am now seems a bit unfair. Again, I suppose I dug my own grave by behaving like that in the first place, but I always try to show empathy even to people who wronged me at a low place in their lives, unless they were incredibly abusive and cruel.
At the end of the day, we’re all just people trying to enjoy a show about wacky sextuplets, and I don’t think anyone actually has any ill-will in their hearts, or has it in them to be “bad”, specifically on the anti-bl side. I don’t hold grudges, there’s no one that I currently have blocked unless they are a bl or a man that made me uncomfortable. My DMs are always open, as is my askbox.
Feel free to ask me anything or confront me about anything, though admittedly, doing so through anon makes it hard for me to reply as I don’t want to post anything potentially upsetting publicly.
And I will try to come to a decision about whether or not to pull a Jenna Marbles and leave social media for good out of regret and declining mental health. I will most likely make a post about it when I’m feeling more capable.
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope your year is going good so far despite... Well, everything

Back with more random osomatsu san thoughts!
OK SO! I know it’s quite late but I didn’t get a chance to watch the new episode until now! So heres what I think!
* S3 EP 8 SPOILERS *
OSOMATSU- LOL I can NOT get over how he was just in his pajamas the whole time, thats so like him i love it (was going to say he was cute this episode, but they all were!)
KARAMATSU- SO SO PERFECT AS ALWAYS. I’ll listen to your solo concert bby cries - fit was fantastic, hot tbh i love him so much; I feel like he was kind of treated pretty badly in this ep but in the normal comedic way he always is ig :,// at least he got some great moments w the brothers at the end! fuels my major hc that the other brothers actually all love kara but just find it fun to pick on him (this season is doing a lot for that hc actually)
CHOROMATSU- AHHHH GODD HE WAS SO GOOD THIS EPISODE. not only was he adorable when waiting to go on a trip and was so excited when he made the tour guides!! as someone whos always kind of ignored when they try to do things like that, esp for group activities, i felt for him hard and just wanted the poor baby to have his guide followed; now that i think about it they did the campfire right?? did they talk about their feelings or did choro just bring it up and it was shot down i need to know hhhh ok anyways this ep also gave me a huuuge hc (i would call him having a fear of heights a hc but it was pretty much confirmed, he looked so cute when he was nervous but then oso showed him it was ok thats amazing) that he has anxiety over things like having a set guide to follow?? that might explain why he’s the “responsible” one always trying to get jobs and why in au skits hes always portrayed as being the boss or the head of whatever it is they’re involving- anyway my past-choromatsu-girl self almost came out again this ep good job matsu team
ICHIMATSU- PUT ON PROPER SHOES HONEY but he was so ‘ichi’ this episode if that makes sense lol he was just his classic self it was great to see; im sorry i dont have much to say for you ichimatsu! i related to that scene of you trying to find your name at the souvineir store ill say that </3
JYUSHIMATSU- SO CUTE SO CUTE HIS HUNTING GEAR he just wants to protect djfkw put the shotgun down/be careful sunny boy- i loved his interactions w everyone why is he so cute this season i sw2g- also i wish he went with kara! this doesnt relate to him that much and ik it wouldnt make sense in the episode w the jokes but my personal fav groups the matsus split into when they pair off are ichi + todo and jyushi + kara so jsfdjswk
TODOMATSU- TAKE PICTURES OF UR BROTHER PLEASE but its ok bc ur cute like everyone was this episode; SO CUTE HOW THEY ALL TOOK A PIC AT THE END i love totty so much im sorry i also dont have much to say king </3
OTHER: AHH OKAY SO LIKE I SAID im loving how many cute moments we’re getting this season of the brothers just being brothers! That little montage at the end of them hanging out and being bros was so heartwarming i got so emotional for no reason and AHH WHEN THE WIND WAS BLOWING AND THEIR HAIR LOOKED FLUFFY, ESPECIALLY KARA’S, I LOST MY MIND <333333  ALSO SOMEONE TELL ME WHY THERE WERE SO MANY ASS SHOTS THIS EPISODE? MORE THAN USUAL? Also also i feel the need to mention how stingy they are with their money they called 490 yen expensive hfjddwjkds boys no

9, 10, 13 for the oso ask game!!
Ty Katto!!! 💕
9. Which character do you relate to the most?
I find all of them at least a little relatable in certain ways so it’s a bit hard to choose, but I guess Ichimatsu? The ESP Kitty skit from s1 ep5 hit me hard back in high school lmao. Though due to that I kinda ignored him if that makes any sense.
10. When first watching the series, how long did it take for you to be able to tell the sextuplets apart?
I think by episode 8 of the 1st season I had a pretty good handle on who is who, the first episodes were such a struggle lmao, I remember repeating certain parts over and over again desperately trying to figure out who was talking.
13. Have you read any of the manga?
For Osomatsu san, yes! I read them back in 2016 though and haven’t checked if any more was translated, but I was really sad to hear that it’s ending recently.
I’ve read a little bit of the Osomatsu kun manga too, but not that much

Hi! OMG just arrived on this blog and has all the stuff I love 😭 you're such an AMAZING artist OMG. Your art is stunning girl! Your Ososan and TS drawings give me doki dokis ❤️❤️ And Karamatsu it's your Favorite Matsu too? 😭😭💙💙💙 OH GOD. The question, gosh, almost forgot >.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! MYYY EMOOOTIOOONSSS!!!! UGH I’M SO SORRY FOR THIS LATE REPLY!!!! AHHHH AND YOUR WORDS JUST FILL ME WITH HAPPINESS HOLY SHIT!!!! MY HEAAAART!!! AHHHHHHHH I’M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!
God i feel like a jerk! i’m soooo sorry this is probably so late! i haven’t logged in in forever!!!! I just happened to log in today cause i just needed to get a little fic idea out of my chest (is a new fandom tho, not oso san or SS, sorry :C), so i’m really sorry for taking so long! and you have nooo idea how happy you just made me! ugh i had so many asks and they’re all making me so happy!! i had actually forgotten how it felt to be logged in again!!!
And HELL YEAH Kara is my fave!! have you seen him?!?!?! ugh. i love him. And i have so many ideaaaaas for him!!! but still it will all come once the year is over, so if you send an ask (you or anyone who is reading this) i wont be ignoring you, it’s just that i won’t be logging in for a long time, i WILL answer, ALLWAYS, but it might take me months until i do so.
Oh no sweetie don’t worry! I wouldn’t have been able to tell at all! besides my mother lenguage is Spanish and i haven’t written anything in ages so my english is kind of rusty!
Hmm, let’s se, I learnt about Oso san through a friend, se watched anime like i did and she introduced me to the fandom. It was hilarious cause i’m really picky about drawing quality when it comes to anime. Like, the plot can be freaking amazing, but if i don’t like the drawing style it’s reaaaally hard it to get my vote hahaha. So she showed it to me and another friend, and seeing as it hardly has any continuous plot, she made sure to show us the funniest episodes first. I could be wrong, but i think it was the one when the hearter goes out, and maybeeee we saw the saw parodies as well (could be wrong tho) (also whoa this will get real long real fast, hope you don’t mind!) Now, up till that point i had heard and seen stuff about them, and i was one more person who was like “the hell are people suddenly fanart-ing several Nobitas all of a sudden?” and i never liked nobita (because of the drawing most of all actually).
And the FIRST thing that happened when i watched it was (besides having no fucking idea who was talking at any given time, like they are all the fucking same drawing! and they were together all the time so i couldn’t even get time enough to relate one color (cause that was the only way my mind could at least try to separate them) to one specific voice) was Karamatsu. He was SO FUCKING CRINGEY (PAINFUUUUUULLLLL) (and see, my brother and i actually have always been embarrased very easily by stuff, like since we were kids whenever something really, REALLY cringey was happening we actually turned to another channel while we waited for the embarrassing bit to pass, so it was freaking TORTURE to me), BUT!!! HE WAS SO FREAKING SWEET!!!! (i think we also watched the letters for the fish bit too but i’m not sure) AND EVERYONE TREATED HIM SO BADDLY!!! And i could see he was a big brother type from the start, which is always my favourite trait (i’m an older sister, guess it just gets to me, dont know).
So, anyway, i was hooked. I got home and started watching them even tho i hated the drawing style on principle, and this was on the weekend (he had had a sleepover at my friend’s place), but it was so fucking HILARIOUS! just so freaking clever, i couldn’t stop laughing, i just couldn’t! And Kara actually made me more resilient to cringeyness, like now we’re watching movies with my brother i can actually watch the embarrassing parts while he leaves the room XD; and by monday i was already practising drawing them in class with my friend watching with a smug look hahahaha . I think the first i started to draw was Jyushi actually. I just loved him! But it was Kara the one that stuck.
Ahh... this actually made me really happy, good times and good memories *wipes tear*
And sander sides... actually i found it through vine videos on youtube. I would watch compilations to laugh on my free time and then through recomendations i found the video with Virgil and Roman talking Disney movies and i was hooked. I mean, Thomas is just a wonderful being, cute, sweet, and hilarious af, and this was DISNEY MOVIES CONSPIRACIES, and i have anxiety, so it caught me right away and went to look for other videos with Anxiety there and well. It made my like happier. Seriously.
Just like the rest of fandoms i havent seen any of it in a long time! I know there’s a new video, it’s been out fora while, but i never got around to watch it, and to be honest, i’m actually avoiding all these things, cause i want to truly enjoy them and be able to draw and write and just be around everything and i know i won’t be until i’m done with this year, so i’d rather get up to date with everything once i feel at ease enough to do so.
Anyway, sorry for the long reply hahaha, and thank you sooo much for your ask, it actually just made my day!

Ichi : do you know the meaning of a single rose?
 Oso : I don’t
Ichi : do you wanna know?
 Oso : no

PAGE 20
Kara : I finally gave it out~~~
Kara : I feel so happy he actually accepted it that I could fly. But he probably doesn’t understand its meaning….? But, if he knows what should I do….? No, even if he knows it shouldn’t mattered… But I feel like it’s too soon
Kara : …but
Kara : it has been my dream since a long time ago
Kara : To give a flower that is attached with my feelings, to the person I love
Kara : People who bought flowers from this shop, they all put their feelings in those flowers. When they’re happy, when they’re sad, when they want to encourage someone…

Kara : I envied them. I thought that someday I want to feel that way about someone too.

Ichi : then why don’t you go?
 Oso : what?
Ichi : why don’t you go bring him something?
Ichi’s face : “REPORT PLZ”
Oso : his face is too easy to read
 Oso : but isn’t this too meddlesome…?
Ichi : don’t worry don’t worry, just trust the theory!
Oso : But if he report me to the police I can never live it down
Ichi : report? you’re right…
Ichi : welp, maybe you can’t but… I’LL THINK OF SOMETHING SO IT’S FINE!
Oso : What the heck have you been blabbering about?!

Oso : it’s not a dream…

Harpy Matsu AU
Okay. Tabimatsu staff, you got me. Bird/Parrot Matsus? Let me expand on that and make them harpies. I love Oso-san AUs with a passion, but I've never really made my own. I have no idea if anybody's thought of a Harpy AU or not - in which case, I'm incredibly sorry if there already has been one in the past. I wish I could draw these out... Anyway, have at it.
General
- Like traditional harpies, they have the talons of a bird on both their feet and hands, feathers growing along their arms right up to their wrists, and long tails for balance and aerial maneuvering. When crossing their arms, their wings resemble a feathery shawl. Peeking closely at their hair reveals tiny feathers that are scattered throughout, and their chests have soft tufts of fluffy down feathers.
- The sextuplets have large wingspans that complement their human-like size. They can remain aloft for a good hour until they become exhausted from physical exertion due to tiresome flapping. Evolution has made them more land locked than their ancestors. Gliding between trees is their favored method of travel. Their talons are powerful enough to propel themselves off the ground and grasp onto surfaces securely.
- Living near a human village has made the brothers partially reliant on them for their needs: tools, clothes, books, and advanced contraptions are prime examples of what separates them from others of their kind. Harpyfolk and humans live together peacefully but some choose to avoid harpies as a show of respect, believing that they are heavenly envoys of the goddess they worship.
- The Matsuno family live in a small, self sustained network of branching tree cabins that connect through tightly woven vine bridges. Its location is near the base of a calming waterfall, their source of clean drinking water and bountiful food. Matsuyo and Matsuzo share a cabin, while their sons each have one to call their own.
Osomatsu (Scarlet Macaw)
- Among his brothers, Osomatsu’s colors radiate splendidly through the thick vegetation of the woods. He preens himself regularly when alone and doesn’t seem to mind losing his feathers while doing boisterous activities. He is the absolute worst when pin feathers grow back in their place, the itchiness causing him to complain until a much needed bath soothes him.
- His favorite fruit to eat are pomegranates. He stockpiles them in his hut and cuts them open to place its seeds in his trusted, handmade leaf satchel that his mother made for him. Oso enjoys lazing about by the grass carpeted rock cliffs in the village, snacking on pomegranate while watching the clouds drift by in tranquility.
- Oso loves showing off his aerial acrobatics and challenges his younger brothers to friendly competitions. He has a lot of endurance, yet his eagerness stifles his ability to think ahead and leaves his navigational skills disarranged.
- A particular hobby of his is searching for old relics relating to his species that are scattered about in the lands his family reside in. Anything he doesn’t deem interesting, he sells them to the village for quick money. His treasured possession is an old compass that perpetually points to the sky. Choromatsu believes that it could lead them to another harpy civilization – one whose roots have survived the sands of time, living within the far reaches of the stratosphere.
Karamatsu (Black-throated Magpie-Jay)
- No one matches his expertise on preening. Much of his free time is spent making his wings perfect beyond reason, and his hair well groomed. He sports an impressive black crest on his head that flares up when he is surprised or when he attempts to provoke awe and adoration from humans.
- Karamatsu is enthralled by stringed musical instruments and has taught himself how to play them as a young hatchling. He has a natural singing voice that he revels in sharing with anyone who is willing to listen. He often allows Jyushimatsu to tag along with him to sing duets to generous villagers with heavy wallets and they have become marginally famous for their performances.
- The best at the culinary arts in his family next to his mother, he has a collection of recipe books written by both harpies and humans that he can skim through when he’s chosen as the designated cook for the evening.
- His silhouette when soaring is said to be breathtaking, his long tail trailing behind him like fluttering silk ribbons and his wings as delicate as an ornamental paper kite. Karamatsu takes advantage of these free flight sessions to gain unending inspiration for his songs.
Choromatsu (Indian Ringneck)
- Choromatsu’s behavior is described as the most “human” of the sextuplets. He prefers traversing on terra firma rather than taking to the skies. An accident involving a massive rockslide has left him terrified of potential falls when flying, where he was severely injured for weeks. This fear has caused him to never rely on his wings. His brothers collectively strive to coax him into using them once again, but Choro is stubbornly set in his ways.
- Writes a personal encyclopedia that laboriously analyzes the fauna, flora, environment, and weather patterns of the region. He’s studious in his research and often arranges expeditions with Osomatsu as his own spirited lookout.
- His eyes are a subject of discussion among his brothers. Like an Indian Ringneck, his pupils pine when he speaks animatedly about his various interests. It unnerves Todomatsu considerably and the others will try to set him up into getting Choro excited just to entertain themselves with the youngest’s overreactions.
- He volunteers at the library to peruse the countless aisles of books that seem to call his name. When no one is looking, he flips through their pages for any insightful information and jots down the titles for future reference. He’s been caught slacking off with his nose pressed to a page of a juicy erotic novel that he couldn’t put down.
Ichimatsu (Violet-backed Starling)
- Ichimatsu’s feathers have an iridescent sheen that is uncommon in harpies and desired by humans for their natural elegance suitable for those of high class standing. Unfortunately, his lack of care leaves them frayed at the ends, giving him a more gloomy appearance that contrasts with his stunning hues. He is understandably shy around humans and will avoid contact unless someone has gained his hard earned trust.
- He patrols the forest in search of sick or injured animals, a task that he has designated for himself. Ichi carries medical supplies and bottled water at all times for such occasions. The black footed cats that make their rounds around the Matsuno's residence were all cared for by Ichimatsu and have remained fiercely loyal to him.
- Ichi was the last to learn how to fly but with Osomatsu's patience and guidance, he can take flight relatively well, but with some minor issues. He tires instantly and requires frequent breaks in between trips to and fro from the village and his home.
- Files down his claws so as to not hurt others. He's also worried about them accidentally getting lodged into branches or floorboards. They grow at an exponentially quick rate that is hard for him to keep up with.
Jyushimatsu (Lutino Cockatiel)
- Mimicry is his talent as a harpy, achieving perfect pitch and replicating different sounds from simply hearing them. He whistles short calls that serve as vital communication signals, from which he has shared and taught to his brothers.
- Jyushi adores taking vitalizing baths in the waterfall basin every morning to help stimulate his joints and muscles before engaging in his daily strenuous exercise regimens. He drags Ichimatsu outside of his cozy nest and will set him down onto the water, splashing considerable amounts of it on top of him while Ichi idles by groggily, uncaring and soaked from head to toe.
- The village children admire Jyushimatsu immensely and will not hesitate to flock to him the moment he is in sight. He will indulge in their favorite games and give them rides around the village's perimeter if given permission from their watchful parents.
- His upper body strength is rather impressive for someone of his kind. Because of this, he's capable of carrying heavy items while flying for extended periods of time. He lends a talon to anyone who might need help in deliveries, and always receives rewards for his efforts.  Money, food, and homemade gifts are just some of the many offerings he brings home.
Todomatsu (Galah Cockatoo)
- Totty has an abnormal fascination with humans and wishes he could be one, downplaying his bird charateristics unless it serves a distinct purpose. Loathes being considered a "superior species" on account of the distance it creates between himself and those he recognizes as plausible friends. He is extremely fond of lavishing, positive compliments on his fluffy, cotton soft feathers from which he pretends are simply fancy accessories rather than a part of what he is.
- A giant Magnolia tree stretches its deep roots right outside the village, overlooking the gargantuan mountains in the boundary surrounding the steep cliffsides. Its caretaker is Todomatsu, who tends to the soil and pours fresh water on a day to day basis. There is a wooden bench built with Karamatsu's help that Todomatsu requested to improve his scenic getaway spot.
- He's afraid of wandering through the forest by his lonesome and always calls on his older brothers for assurance. Outright refuses to leave his cabin at nighttime unless it's an important or urgent matter.
- The galah cockatoo harpy loves perusing the village's clothing stores and periodically suggests designs to the local couturiers that he commissions handsomely out of his own pockets. Boasts the biggest wardrobe and proudly displays his custom fashion to his acquaintances - he's single handedly made businesses skyrocket in earnings.

s2ep10: a little respect
♪ So-o-oul, I hear you call-iiiiiing Oh baby, pleeeease... Give a little respe-ect, toooooo meeeeee! ♪ - “A Little Respect” by Erasure, which seems to be this week’s theme song :P
[SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!]
The first of this week’s three skits is “Karamatsu and Brothers”, which I know nearly everyone was looking forward to. After all, Kara’s the fan favorite both here and in the Japanese fandom, where recently he’s won the top spot in a recent magazine’s favorite characters poll; does it live up to everyone’s standards?!
The skit opens with Totty asking Choro to buy him a soda, which Choro refuses to do in a very aggressive manner. I like how Totty described Choro here - “You act like an honor student, but you’re really just a delinquent!”; it succinctly summarizes Choro’s character well enough :P
Luckily for Totty, Kara comes to the rescue and offers to buy his soda for him! And after Totty gets his soda, he calls Kara “nice” and “reliable”, which makes Kara feel very happy and sparkly :P
Then everyone else starts asking Kara to do things for them: Starting with Oso, who asks Kara to do his chores in his stead; then Jyushi asks the same thing, then Ichi, then all of a sudden everyone except Choro is asking Kara to do something for him. And Kara says yes, he’ll do them! He’ll do anything his brothers ask him, they can rely on him!!
At this point Choro steps in, and scolds the others for putting so much on Kara. He even scolds Kara a bit for not standing up for himself. Honestly these little moments of Choro stepping in for his family members’ sakes (approaching Matsuzo about his problem in S2Ep4, now telling the others to lay off Kara in this ep.) are very nice; he really can be a good son and brother, after all ;v; And to the other brothers’ credit, they do feel bad for piling so much on Kara after realizing it - but then Kara protests and assures them no, it’s okay, he likes it when the brothers ask him to do stuff, it’s perfectly fine!! And with that assurance, the others go back to treating him like a work horse :P
Later, up on the rooftop, Kara confesses to Choro the truth - he actually hates it when the others ask him to do so much for them, so much that he could either die or kill them. When asked about why can’t just say “no” to them, Kara puts on the cool act and says that it’s because he’s such a nice guy~ But Choro quickly gets that the real reason Kara can’t say “no” is because beneath the painful guy act, he’s really just a timid wimp who can’t stand up for himself :P
Honesty Tidbit # 1: I never thought I’d actually say this, but... Kara’s situation was oddly relatable to me in some aspects. My family members - especially my sister - ask me to do things for them, get things for them, etc. all the time. And even when I don’t want to do them, I do them anyway orz (The difference between me and Kara is that unlike him, I usually complain first before doing them :P) To be fair, since I’m a NEET and no one else is, I guess it makes sense that I’m asked to do things for everyone while they’re doing work or resting from work. But still, it’s annoying...
Honesty Tidbit # 2: I can already see the annoying part of the fandom latching onto the fact that Kara’s a bit of a pushover and using that to further push the “pwecious sad woobie” fanon interpretation orz I’m really not looking forward to it...
So Choro tries to be a good brother again and offers to help Kara practice saying “no” to his brothers. However, he ends up getting sidetracked haha :P I find it interesting that Kara actually can’t recognize Choro’s caricatures of the others, even with each one’s more obvious attributes (”horse races” and “boobs” for Oso, “cats” and “killing you all” for Ichi, “baseball” and “BOEH” for Jyushi) mentioned. It makes me wonder, does Kara view and identify his brothers differently from how Choro (and the audience) does? If that’s the case, then how does he view and identify them? ...Or maybe Choro’s caricatures just too exaggerated for him haha
In the end, though, they go and tell the brothers Kara’s true feelings on the matter. And in a very nice moment, the brothers actually backed off once they knew that Kara didn’t actually like being asked what to do (they even said, “Why didn’t you tell us that you wanted us to stop?”), recognized that they really did keep asking him because they knew he wouldn’t say no, and sincerely apologized for it and promised not to do it anymore. Despite what fanon tends to say, the brothers really do care for Kara after all. I’m very glad that’s the case ;v;
...and then the others proceed to make Choro take Kara’s place as the errand boy :P Choro angrily protests, asks for Kara’s help... and Kara refuses and leaves him to fend for himself with a “Good luck~” PFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Of all times for Kara to decide to say “no”... I guess no good deed goes unpunished when your name’s Matsuno Choromatsu :P
This was a good skit! A good Choro, good Suiriku interaction, the brothers proving fanon wrong... What’s not to love? :’)
The second skit, “New Employee Totoko”, is exactly what it says on the tin - in an office AU, Totoko is the newly hired employee, with Totty being her superior. The skit is already interesting to me because of Totty having the role of the boss/leader/department head in this skit; he doesn’t usually take on these roles IIRC. It fits the ambitious side of his personality though, so I’m not complaining :) He’s also taking his job really seriously in this skit, and certainly acts like how you’d expect a boss/leader/department head to act. It ends up making him a pretty good tsukkomi to Totoko’s antics :P
Speaking of Totoko, she was pretty neat here too! For one thing, her hairstyle as a newbie employee is really nice ;v; It’s her first day working in Akatsuka Tradings, but already she’s causing problems for her superior - first off, she won’t come over when Totty calls her over to his desk. Her excuse is that nobody told her that that’s what she had to do, so she didn’t do it :P Then Totty gives her a document to work on, which he tells her should be finished before lunch - but she doesn’t finish it at all by then, her excuse being that she hasn’t used the programs before, hasn’t done this sort of computing before, etc. Totty ends up having to do the work himself. Then, since Totty did her work for her, Totoko ended up spending her office time updating her social media and sleeping on the job... Again she uses her inexperience as an excuse... Yeah, Totoko’s not exactly the ideal employee for anyone working as a department head :P
I wonder if I can say that I’d be like Totoko if I were in an office setting? :P Again I’m a NEET so I don’t have any job experience... But if my memories of school, college, the two-week internship I had when I was in college, etc. are anything to go by, I know I’d be utterly useless when left to my devices and would always have to ask for help and instructions before I could be set on doing anything orz That, and I get distracted easily, I lose motivation easily, I stay up late... Yeah, Totoko is rather relatable here as well and I’m not proud to admit it orz
Totty ends up having to give Totoko a stern talking to, saying that since she’s new he’ll do his best to help her, but she’s still gotta put in the work herself. They agree to work hard, their conversation ends on a good note, Totty shows off his own version of Kara’s bishie eyes...
...and at the end of the day, Totoko quits her job :P Though Totty begs her to stay, and after his begging she says she’ll stay and even starts saying these cheesy, so-cliche-that-they’re-clearly-bullshit lines about how she’ll do a good job from now on... And then she ditches her job without saying goodbye :P Totty’s very upset about this. Ichiko and Jyushiko (?!) showing up and proving to be better employees doesn’t really help matters either, and it proves at the end that Totty won’t accept “uggos” and wants to work with a cute girl like Yowai-kun :P Ah, classic Totty
And finally, the last skit, “Dubbingmatsu-san”. A couple of unknown people who do unknown work in the Osomatsu-san anime enter a lavishly decorated room filled with food, comfy sofas, and pretty girls in bikinis. What’s all this for? It’s to receive the sextuplets, who are coming in to dub the anime of course! The sextuplets enter wearing various things to conceal their identities to the public - each one increasingly ridiculous than the last - and after a few minutes’ rest, they start to read and practice their lines before they start recording. And during practice, it never seems to be good enough...!!
It becomes clear that this skit actually isn’t about the boys at all - it’s a meta piece about their seiyuu, with the boys kinda-sorta acting as the main six seiyuu’s avatars instead of being themselves. Or at least, that’s how I like to think of this skit :P There are references to seiyuu having to take care of their voices - the boys have humidifiers with them to keep their vocal chords working, and even have back-up surgery implants for their throats in case the worst happens!
And then the boys start practicing their lines and beating themselves up for not meeting their own high standards - the part I really lost it was when Totty yelled, “What did I go study abroad for?!”, which is a reference to Miyu Irino going abroad earlier this year to pursue his theatre studies. It makes me wonder now if the stuff the others were saying while they were beating themselves up were references to their own seiyuu themselves?? Meanwhile Ichi’s/Jun’s just practicing his stabbing skills. Good job Ichi/Jun Also can we please exploit Miyu Irino’s English skills in S2 already
Then recording’s about to begin - with the boys completely naked of course, can’t risk any clothes ruffling making any noise! - and after some chants, they start dubbing over the provided images. And apparently, they’re so good that they can ad-lib and almost change the script entirely, and it’d be okay! They didn’t even need to do any retakes - the boys/seiyuu are just that good!! They’re professionals!!!
It’s interesting to see Ososan’s (fictionalized and exaggerated for comedy’s sake) take on the recording process of anime. It certainly matches up with some of the things I remember reading in interviews with the seiyuu before. In the end, this skit is a silly and irreverent but affectionate love letter to the guys who bring our loveable six same shitheads to life. I can’t help but wonder how Sakurai/Nakamura/Kamiya/Fukuyama/Ono/Irino all felt while recording this skit. Were they embarrassed? Happy? A little proud? I hope someone asks about that skit either in an interview or in a post-Cour 1 commentary reel, like last season’s.
Finally recording ends, and the boys head home - each going home with a hefty sum of yen in one hand, a pretty bikini girl on one arm, and in each one’s personal private helicopter. I... am pretty sure this bit is an exaggeration, there’s no way anyone would actually go home in a private helicopter unless they’re that stinkin’ rich and famous :P But hey, the boys did a good job, they’re happy, the anime staff is happy, we get a quality anime because of everyone’s hard work, therefore everyone’s happy.
“Who would’ve thought such professionals were behind those shitty episodes that air on TV?” “Makes you respect them even more.”
So in conclusion, thank you to Sakurai & Nakamura & Kamiya & Fukuyama & Ono & Irino (& don’t forget Suzumura & Kokuryu & Endo & Saito & Ueda & Tobita & Inoue & Kujira & Yamashita &...) for everything that you do for this shitty anime!! \( ; v ; )/ It wouldn’t be the same without you, thank you for your hard work! ♥♥♥♥♥♥
All in all, this week’s episode was pretty great! I enjoyed it thoroughly and was invested all throughout. I think my favorites would be a tie between “Karamatsu and Brother” (surprisingly!) and “Dubbingmatsu-san” - on one hand, we have solid Suiriku and brotherly care on many sides; on the other we have meta and a silly but sweet nod to the professionals who make the anime come to life. But even “New Employee Totoko” is solid for the roles the characters play alone! So yes, all in all, this week was a good week, and I’m greatly looking forward to next week’s fare ^^
I’m actually really, really excited for next week because - HORROR(HOUSE)MATSU!!! While I’m not really big on the horror genre as a whole, I like the idea of throwing out favorite NEETs into scary situations. And a haunted house is perfect for it >:) The title is “Chibita’s Revenge”, so Chibita's definitely gonna have some sort of hand in all of the spooky shenanigans... Does he have friends on the other side?! :0
Aaaaah, next Matsu Monday can’t come soon enough! ♥

Choro is a good boi I know the episode 24 always get me to Oso because I relate but how hard would have it been to break the status quo, seeing the result, having nii-san not approving... and now in s2 he seem so more chill. And the nenchuumatsu episode. Also nen-chuu. Chuu = kiss so it's always the most endearing duo to spell to me huhu
I know Choro quit his job and therefore didn’t follow through with his plan to move out and find a job, but I think he ended up learning how to be a little less self-conscious about being a NEET in the long run, and that’s why he’s a bit more relaxed this season! :) Also one of the reasons I love the nenchuu ep is because he and Ichi both are a lot less tsundere more honest compared to their season 1 selves. And aww that’s true ;3;
Hmm yeah since Letter focused so much on Oso we wouldn’t get even more angst with him again would we...

Planning to move blogs very soon.
Tumblr media
First of all, thanks for the peeps that messaged me while I was gone, and I apologize if I can’t respond to them any sooner, I just can’t afford to sit down and have proper conversations this days.
Second, my Discord is  🎀 (◕︿◕✿) 🎀#5550, in case you wan- na try to contact me there, but I will only accept mutuals.
And most importantly, in case anyone is wondering what’s going on with this blog (which I highly doubt, this is quite the “isolated” issue),  I basically decided to leave it on Hiatus out of the blue because my Dash doesn’t make me feel safe or comfortable a- nymore, and I’m planning to move it very soon.
From certain percentage in this RP fandom giving me the cold shoulder  (because I supposedly “police” them, which is the dumbest thing I have heard related to me as an RPer in a LONG while, and so makes me know which people should I NOT follow in the Oso-San RP fandom)  from certain other percentage of my general Mutuals just making me uncomfortable, I’ve been too stressed with both fandom and IRL nonsense like to not wanna step into my blog or into Tumblr in general.
So once I’m done with school, probably around next week, I will start working on moving Todo to a new blog  (just a new blog, the URL, theme, and overall threads and relationships that have taken place in this blog won’t suffer any kind of change),  so I can have a cleaner Dash and don’t have to feel rpessured again over following/unfollowing people I could potentially trust just to feel hurt/betrayed by them afterwards.
I will reblog my self-promo here the moment the new blog is ready and I have to change this URL to ‘hamstcarmatsu-moved’.  I will open my ‘following’ tab so I can start choosing which people would I be comfortable with continue RPing with and which people I just won’t follow again.  Sounds struct and unfair ??  Too bad, for me all of this has felt very unfair too, and I need to take care of my own mental health, and I love my muse too much just to close this blog, which would also cause some people to be sad over me leaving, and I can’t let that happen.
Hope this sounds understandable, have a good day. ♥
