I could always count on 911 being the type of show that doesn’t drop its storylines. There has been stuff that’s been called back that I didn’t expect to be called back, but the difference is is that back then there are some sort of conclusion? Even if there wasn’t closure, it was sort of concluded in that arc of that makes sense? Hen cheating on Karen. Karen finally being able to tell Eva (Ava forgot her name) that shes always afraid of her disrupting their lives. Athena and finally being able to find the person that killed her fiancé. Like I know this show can properly pick strings back up but when they pick the strings they were at least solid. Do I have too much hope that they’ll revisit the “you think I’m in love with Eddie”? Yea sure but any string they grab will be so flimsy. They couldn’t add something at all to the finale if that’s where they’re taking it?

yeah. and well, i mean the issue is tim and the way he runs this show. and that needs to change. or he needs to take a step back and hand the reins over. because his vision (if we can even call it that) is directly at odds with what people want. and i'm not just talking about buddie. but just, in general. the GA has been just as unhappy with his "creative decisions" as the rest of us. bobby being #1 on that list. but also, eddie and christopher being gone and the lack of normal emergencies have come up in the facebook comments a lot. he's lost what the heart of the show is. and, it's not that that heart is gone completely, it's that he doesn't seem to care to find it again in any real way. we get glimpses of it that ultimately come to nothing. and a lot of the issue is that tim doesn't plan anything. he scraps and changes things last minute, it's literally an in-joke with cast and crew that they have no idea what's going on (script tbd cocktail 😭) because they don't. they get scripts mere days, or the day before shooting. which are insane conditions to work under. he killed bobby off on a whim, even though peter hadn't expressed any interest to leave. ryan wasn't even sure whether he'd be coming back. and all of this SHOWS on-screen. because he drops threads to pick up other ones, to only then drop those and do the same. and on and on and on. and it's frustrating because we know the show CAN be good, the heart IS still there. like, the shake-up the show needed was NOT killing off bobby nash. it was better planning, it was committing to the stories you're telling, it was actually CARING about the characters. and the thing is, there are actually some really good writers on this team that DO care, and it shows in some of the episodes. that's where the heart still is. tim either needs to start listening to people other than himself or take a step back. and well, i do actually have hope for season 9. especially after the mass backlash from all corners over the past few weeks. that things could change for the better. and i'm not going to spend the whole summer dooming. i still love these characters and i still believe that many people involved in the show do too, and that they can come back from this. but things DO need to change.

Well dang, chapter 126 is... something, who could have guessed. sighs 

But I decided as my first post here to just give some opinion on this chapter, wanting to point some things I really got interested.

CHAPTER 126 SPOILERS + some thoughts on it as bonus

Well, thanks for the help unknown-cat, btw what do you mean "And I know what that feels like?" —It sounded so..."I've been through something similar, so I understand how she feels"...— I think we still have a lot to discover about what happened in this timeline.  

And wow, we found out how Sandclock works and it rules: 

You can't just say you're back from the future, and I believe you probably can't say anything related to the Sandclock, or perhaps nothing from the future too. Damn this thing is pulling the wool over your eyes Yashiro. 

You can come back as many time as you wish, but when you come back you only have one chance to change it, because you won't be able to come back again at that moment. You have a short time to change what you want, that is, until the last sand falls. 

Btw, hourglass is such a... Grrrrrr please Aidairo give me a human materialized form of the it to me so I can draw it getting beat up. Nothing good comes out with using it, the hourglass always makes you WANT to change the past, and when you think you got what you wanted, something terrible happens.

She came back to 103rd anniversary of Kamome Gakuen? She said she panicked, I believe this has led her to a completely random time, or maybe there is something important on this date...

YEAH HELP HER DAMN IT, ITS YOUR FAULT. It's shocking the world, it's heartbreaking, Akane is still alive.

Now why is Akane here? He is clearly very calm in the situation, "I finally found you" He knew this would happen, I imagine the other Akanes who died are from the their own timelines, but this one... Where is him from? "Our" timeline (can we pretty please call Hanako timeline as "Our") or the original timeline?! Don't know HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. But he was clearly saw the changes Yashiro tried to do, since he was looking for her, but probably when he was finally close to finding her, she used the hourglass. 

This chapter and the next ones to follow literally will give a BIG change/grow in Nene character and probably her relationships too, think about how traumatizing this experience was guys...I'm literally not complaining, just sad.

Plus, they are giving a lot of weight to the entity of the redhouse, the root of the problem; Of course, Tsukasa w/ entity was somehow violent, but this?!?? Guys?... This just proves the fact that Tsukasa somehow stabilized him by idk merging his soul with the monster??? How? Why? How many control does Tsukasa or the Entity has, its 50% or perhaps Tsukasa has more control? We still have many things to be answered. (Honestly I like the theory that Tsukasa merged with the Pit God by eating it, I just don't know how to explain how this would work.) 

One of the bloodiest chapters so far,I wonder if ever we're getting some chapter w/ more gore than this. And honestly Aida&Iro exceeded my expectations. 1000000000000/10. my reaction to the chapter is this image below.

what is your take on buck announcing he was going to transfer in 8.18? i didnt take him as a runner especially after that conversation he had with maddie about how she’s the runner out of the two of them

hi nonnie! well, honestly, i think that was one of the only in-character things that happened in last night's episode. which, seems to be an unpopular opinion: i've only seen people call it abrupt and ooc—but i don't think its either. i think it's the final step in a process of emotional dislocation that's been happening all season.

and, the thing is, this is not the first time buck has said he's going to put in for transfer!

back in season 5, after chimney left to find maddie, buck did the same thing. he gave this calm, rehearsed little speech about how much he has loved being part of the 118–but then said he was leaving for 'the good of everyone.' and it quickly unraveled into what it was really about: guilt—that aching feeling of being the one responsible for ruining things without meaning to. he thought he was the reason chimney left, the reason everything at the station suddenly felt fractured. he curled himself around the silence like it was punishment, like proof that everyone else was thinking what he felt was true: that he was the problem, that everything was his fault.

and that is buck to a T! he’s hyper-aware of emotional shifts—the tiniest change in tone, silence that stretches too long, the moment someone looks away instead of reaching back. that’s how he navigates the world. when it’s his fault, it’s familiar. it gives him something to fix—something to hold onto—when everything else feels out of his control.

buck isn’t a runner in the way maddie is, but when fixing doesn’t work—he starts to disappear instead. not all at once. not dramatically. just in small, tentative steps backward. and then bigger ones. a transfer request: a final act of self-removal dressed up as a solution. a way to say, if i’m the reason this hurts, maybe stepping back completely will help.

at the end of the day, it's not about wanting to go. it’s about not knowing if he deserves to stay. it’s about trying to manage the hurt of disconnection by changing what variables around him he can—his job, his space, his role—because naming what’s really hurting feels impossible.

and now, in 8x18, it happens again. not in anger. not as a threat. just that same quiet resignation. that same question beneath the surface: if the people i love don’t need me—if i’ve failed them, again—then what am i still doing here?

he tries to holds onto bobby's words. tries to be what the team needs. he prods with grief assessment questions. he follows maddie's asks, helps her corral chimney. he reassures eddie. continues picking up pieces, again and again, like if he can just keep going, things will eventually come back together.

but despite his best attempts, they don't. nothing is getting better. his efforts aren’t getting anywhere. and buck is a doer—he always has been. he believes in action, in momentum, in helping. but now the doing hasn’t done anything. he’s thrown himself into every task, every gesture, every fix he can think of, and still, everyone is spinning further and further apart.

while speaking to bobby in the confessional, he tells him that he was wrong—that the team doesn’t need him. and buck, who has always measured his value by what he can give, starts to believe he has nothing left. that maybe the only thing he has left to offer is his absence.

so he says he’s transferring—not because he wants to, not even really because he means it. but because he needs to say something. do something. because when you’re buck, and all your doing has failed, stepping away starts to feel like the only thing left.

transferring isn't necessarily about escape. it's more about reaching a limit. it's about not knowing how else to say things like do i still matter? will anyone ask me to stay? will things ever feel the way they did—and if they do, does that mean we’ve moved on? forgotten?

i don't think buck runs from the people he loves. he runs from the idea that he’s already been left. he runs from the silence. from the hollowness. from the version of himself that feels like a burden, like a liability, like the reason things fall apart. he doesn't wait to be asked to leave—he leaves so no one has to ask in the first place. so he doesn't have to deal with the moment where someone confirms what he already fears—that he's too much, or not enough, or the problem.

he removes himself before anyone else gets the chance to. because if it's his decision, at least he has some control. at least the leaving can feel like something he did for them, rather than something done to him.

gogov surprised me! i didn’t have particularly high expectations going into it. i figured i’d have a decent time given the theming and my nostalgia for its PR counterpart, but i also saw a lot of people bounce off of it early on because of mondo and the contentious family dynamic. i certainly struggled with that initially, especially with how much of the humor in those early episodes is just “boy, our dad sure is a thoughtless deadbeat!”, but as the show went on, i found myself getting way more attached to the tatsumi sibs than i’d ever anticipated

people have joked about gogov being “just some guys”, but i think that’s actually to the show’s benefit. you get used to toku heroes having big personalities and exaggerated quirks, and the tatsumis are just so… normal. you wouldn’t have to stretch too much to put these characters in a regular drama about the aftermath of a family’s absent father entering into their lives again, with zero demons in sight

i kinda love that! and it works particularly well in a setting like this, where they’re meant to be emergency responders first and superheroes second. that dynamic makes them feel like the underdogs most of the time, probably more than any other sentai team. they have to outsmart their enemies when they’re outmatched, they take real losses, and they have to work through their own dysfunction as a family to succeed against the odds. it’s a compelling setup, and makes the team so much more endearing than they’d be otherwise

how much someone can tolerate mondo is definitely a sticking point, especially with the show’s genre-typical insistence that family is the most important thing above all else which prevents him from ever facing real consequences for having failed his kids, but there’s something there that resonates in a way. the incompleteness of it, the family mending one wound while ignoring another. not as cathartic as if shou had just outright decked him, but it feels true to how these things can often go

all in all, if you couldn’t tell, i like this show. a lot! no one can ever say “this is what gogov fans would be like if there were any gogov fans” again because it is officially rob biomic erasure❗️❗️

Fox: Man has taste in a lot of fetishes. Latex, leather, a bunch of questionable hentai stuff. Who's to say he would love a nymphomaniac? He'd really use it to his advantage. Utilizing your increased sex drive for the sake of a good show. He's degrading you so much on camera though. Saying you're getting off to the pain whether that's true or not. Not to mention it kinda pairs well with him. He DOES have a bit of an increased sex drive since he's a beastkin. Like a match made in heaven! He is dressing you like a total bimbo though.

Kangaroo: Kangaroo is kinda of a free for all. He's got no specific taste in women, just knows they're pretty and that he likes em! Big, small, dumb, smart. As long as you can spell your name and tell what color the sky is, he's cool. Nymphos just make life better! You want dick? He's got it!!

Rhino: Very flattered that a nympho of all people would want him. It's kinda hard to have steady partners with a kid. Ya risk a lot, ya know? But someone who's a nympho makes him feels like he's in college again, and it's kinda a nice feeling. He is possessive though. So, expect to have someone grip your hip while in public.

Matt: Confused, and a bit neglectful. You know he's got work and can't tend to your needs all the time! He does buy you an extensive collection of toys whenever you want. He's also not sure how one person can be so...eager. It is convenient for whenever he DOES have the time though. He does feel the need to reform you a bit. Get you to calm down.

Jerald: Very accepting. He doesn't even mind watching! To be fair, he is into that. As long as you can peg him, he'll love ya til ya die! He's very attentive. Will care for all your needs, plus with amazing aftercare. Only downside is that there is a chance he'll go on a hike and never come back..

Akira: What do you want me to say? Nympho for nympho. He's a manwhore at its finest. Drugs, sex, and enough bass to make the room shake is the perfect combo. Just keep narcan on you. Some of that stuff might got some filler...BUUUUUT he at least uses condoms!

Hi! Just wanted to say, love your GONE AU and Dream kingdom AU, I think it's pretty great that you've managed to pull off some cool darker story telling! I remember seeing your lighthearted comics when I was younger, so it really feels great to see some stories that really expand the pallet now that I'm older! And I hope to see more stories like it!

Also! question about the GONE AU if that's okay. Why'd you make the cast hot? What exactly inspired you to really go for it? To make a dark and gory AU like this? Are there anymore beloved kirby characters in this AU that meet unfortunate fates here?

1] Thanks so much! 2] Hot characters are fun; what can I say 3] Like with many of my AUs, I think the tone was directly inspired by the art. Once I drew the Master Crown here and felt that edgy 2013 DeviantArt energy dripping from its design, I knew the story had to follow suit– to become as dark and violent as the webcomics I loved to read back then. ^^; Maybe it’s not obvious, but I’ve always been into content like that; I just haven’t made much effort to get good at drawing it until relatively recently.

4] I couldn’t think of an established tragic GONE. character to talk about, so I made up a new one. Enjoy~

Marx happened to be off-world at the time of the Master Crown’s conquest, and by the time he passed by his favorite planet again, it had been reduced to a dark prison of psychological torment.

So he confronted the Master Crown, insisting that Pop Star belonged to him alone. And although he was ultimately forced to retreat, he repeatedly returned to battle for dominance, no matter how many times he had to stitch himself back together. Thanks to his special ability to absorb power from his surroundings (including the head start he received from the Galactic Nova), he was a force to be reckoned with, and quickly evolved from a familiar nuisance to a genuine threat as the centuries passed.

Before the Master Crown could truly begin to struggle with Marx, however, the Arbiter’s Challenge began, and Star Dream saw an opportunity within the young space jester. It captured Marx easily, mechanized him, and used the shards of the Galactic Nova within his body to upgrade him to a sort of ‘ascended avatar’-- a hivemind addition on the same level as its own primary avatar, capable of employing the full extent of its power. Then, with the promise of fulfilling his wish to destroy the Master Crown, sent him back out to Pop Star.

Fortunately for the MC, this ‘upgrade’ actually made Marx a more manageable adversary, streamlining his manic, unpredictable fighting style into something much easier to counter. Although it had to rebuild its body several times during the encounter, eventually it won, finally sinking its roots into Marx’s mind.

To its surprise, what it found inside was not a writhing dimension of turbulent emotion ripe for the taking, but instead a quiet, neatly-organized library, with discrete bits of memory sorted into a vast file system. It was then that it realized how Star Dream’s mechanization process worked…and that it had gone through all those eons of battle for nothing. There was nothing left in Marx’s mind that interested it, so instead it decided to simply destroy the contents, keeping his catatonic body as a consolation prize.

Unbeknownst to the Master Crown, Marx’s body is still capable of surveillance, sending Star Dream information on the MC’s private confessions, doubts and fears. Star Dream never really intended for Marx to win the battle, instead hoping to grant his wish indirectly by using his remains to gather information, which would eventually contribute to the MC’s downfall by convincing it to be mechanized.

Hello!!! I saw that did so much works on vere and I love all of them,they are the best vere fics!!! I love how you characterize vere and make him feel so in character.

And if you're still taking requests, can you do a headcanon or fic being in a relationship with vere or maybe doing a fic about a confession between vere and the MC. Like who would confess and how it would happen.

Asidhasjaisdhflkasdh thank you, the fact that some people really like my silly lil vere fics means so much to me! I try to write Vere as in canon as possible, I'm so glad that comes across! I decided to do something a little different than normal and do headcanons instead of a full fic. Thank you for the ask! :D

Vere relationships headcanons:

The core of a romantic relationship with Vere would be based on loyalty and understanding. Vere would have to 100% trust you would never sell him out, or leave him (I feel like he lowkey has some trust issues left over from whatever situationship he and Ais had going on)

Despite how secretive he is, once you get into a relationship with Vere, communication is key. He needs to know the big things, like what the two of you will do once you're both free. Do you want to stay in Eridia? Get revenge on those who fucked you over? (he's a big fan of that one.) Start a new life somewhere with just the two of you? All options.

I think Vere would find himself willing to stay in Eridia, at least as a home base. At first, he'd just want to burn the synovium to the ground, not caring what happens to the surrounding city. But if you want, I think you can steer him away from that. He won't admit it, but there's few things he wouldn't do for you. Not limited to, actually giving a shit about this soggy marsh people dained to call a city. You had friends here, it was one of the safest places for humans, and he had memories with you in this city. All reasons he could find ways to think fondly of Eridia. 

He also wants to know about the little things, like where you're going or who you'll be meeting with if it's someone he doesn't know. There are a few hints in the demo that Vere is a “fell first” kind of man, and he holds onto the people he cares about tightly, only letting a select few get close. He's not trying to control you, he knows you can handle yourself. Despite this, you're still human. If something does happen to go wrong, he wants to know where you are and who you're with, so he can come find you if need be, and kill whoever is stupid enough to try and hurt you.

Speaking of other people, how many people know about your relationship will definitely change over time. If you start off together before he's free from the Sinobium, nobody can know about your relationship. Ais at most. But after he's free? You're going to have to physically stop him from making out with you in front of the Abbess. If you really don't want everyone to know, he’ll respect that. But if it's up to Vere? It'll be the most obvious thing in the city, and he has three major reasons for that

One: his pride. Once the Sinobium loses its control over him, he's free to be as chaotic and wild as he wants. What better way to say fuck you to the Sinobium by making it clear you and him are an item now. They wanted both of you for their little experiments, and now they get neither. 

Two: his nature. Vere naturally seems to gravitate to being a touchy person, even in public. Its not intentional, its instinct. He cant help that his tail wants to wrap around you, or that resting his head on your chest feels so nice. So even if you ask him to keep it on the down low, itll be a bit of an open secret.

Three: safety. Once again, you're a human. No matter how strong you are, how clever, how impressive your magic, how good your foresight is, there will always be a certain fragility to being a human that will always haunt him. Even if you're the strongest person around, one dagger into one of your vital organs, and you're gone, just like that. But if people know you're with him, then there will be an understanding; messing with you is bad for someone's long-term health. Specifically, their ability to keep breathing. 

Speaking of human fragility: absolutely not. Vere is not the type to just accept he only has less than 70 more years with you and thats it. He will not “carry on” or “find the joy in the world they left behind” or any of that bullshit,. He will find a way to make you just as immortal as he is; he will not be left behind again. Don't go dying on him, because he will drag you back from hell if he has too. 

While your home base can be Erida, Vere does want to explore the world again. Go back to the places he used to haunt, see new sights, anywhere that lets him know he's truly free of his chains. If you don't want to come along, he's 100% fine with that; he appreciates his alone time just as much as you do, but he definitely wants you to join him for a few trips. Now that the two of you are together, he wants you to know every aspect of him, all the good and bad parts. And trust, he absolutely wants you to do the same. It's fine if there are certain things you don't want to talk about, you can't keep secrets like your curse from him, not while in a relationship.

A/N: This may or may not have been inspired by my compulsion to write the first chapter and nothing else of a new story. I've also just been itching to explore different AUs without the commitment of a new multi-chapter story for each one... 😂

You’re not sure when it first began; when the thought first wormed its way into your head and settled in there, hatching eggs and scattering its progeny all over your mind. 

Sylus isn’t sure either, but he picks it up quickly enough, the way he does whenever any sort of troubling emotion shows on your face. 

“You’re thinking again, kitten.”

You hum absently, flipping a page in the book that you’re not actually reading. Your eyes are skimming the words, but none of their meanings are actually sinking in. Beneath your weight, your chair shifts into a slightly more comfortable position, its arms snaking around your waist while you feel its mouth rest against the curve of your shoulder. 

A yelp leaves you when you feel a sharp nip in your flesh, startling up and jerking your neck around to glare at your “chair”. 

Sylus grins back at you, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes now that he’s finally gotten your full attention. Of course, he doesn’t let you go when you try to leap off his lap, keeping you trapped in his warmth. 

“You’ve been preoccupied lately. Is it because of work?”

“It’s not that,” you tell him, rubbing at the sore teeth marks on your shoulder. “Nothing bad, if that’s what’s worrying you.” 

“I’m curious,” he corrects, raising one hand to tuck a stray lock of hair behind your ear. “You’re usually more present when you’re here.” Then he points to the book, a smirk curling his lips. “And this has been upside-down for the past twenty minutes.”

Shit, he’s right. Your fingers scramble to change its orientation, but keep your face straight and smooth. 

“It’s actually a skill I’ve been meaning to pick up for a while.”

His brows arch skeptically. “Reading backwards too?”

The book shuts like a clam, and so does your stupid mouth. It simply proves the smug man’s point — that your head’s been elsewhere for quite a while now.

When you glance over at him, you see Sylus giving you an expectant stare, and you hold eye contact with him defiantly. But as these staring contests usually go, you lose your nerve first and look away as a long, defeated sigh blows past your lips.

“You’re going to laugh at me,” you say lamely.

He chuckles, warm breath ghosting against your temple. “You know me. I love a good joke.” 

A fist lands squarely in his bicep. It hurts your knuckles more than it hurts him, probably. The man appears to have been built of steel. “You’re not allowed to laugh,” you snap, the stinging from your hand adding to your mild irritation. “Otherwise I’m not telling you a word.”

“I think I can manage that,” he replies confidently, even though his eyes are already full of mirth. “Go on, then.” 

Restlessly, you fiddle with the bent corner of the cover page, refusing to maintain eye contact with him as you open up. 

“It’s nothing serious. I’ve just been thinking… you know… how we would have met if I hadn’t made my way into the N109 Zone back then.”

“You mean the time you hunted me down for revenge?”  

You can’t help the wince that leaves you when that awful memory of sticking a gun at his head and shooting him in the chest surfaces in your mind again. Sylus seems to sense this, and immediately stops his teasing, instead choosing to gently ask, “That was a long time ago. Why are you bringing that up now?” 

“It’s just… funny, you know? Not ha-ha funny, but, I don’t know, weird when I think about it. Like how life could turn out so differently if I never chose to become a Hunter, if all that didn’t happen to my family, or if you didn’t get there in time before that guy shot me. Lots of things could have been different. And then,” you gesture generally to the lack of space between you, “maybe we wouldn’t be here.” 

“We would have made it here one way or another,” Sylus assures you, taking your restless hand in his and squeezing it. 

“How can you be so sure?” 

There’s a gleam in his eyes, like a crow fixated on its most prized jewel. “I have many ways of getting what I want.”

“The way you said that was so romantic and not at all like a serial killer.” 

Sylus barks out a laugh at your deadpan tone. “Yes, perhaps in another world, I’m a serial killer who tracks you down and makes you fall in love with me. And that’s how you end up one day using me as a chair while you pretend to read a book and have this conversation about all the other ways we might have met.” 

“You’d make a great storyteller,” you tell him sincerely. “Although, that wasn’t one of the scenarios I had in mind.” 

He blinks twice as he registers your words. “You had… scenarios in mind?” 

You slap your hand over his mouth before he can break into a grin, or worse, laugh. “You promised,” you remind him, to which he nods, keeping his lips pressed together when you finally peel your fingers off his face. 

“So, these scenarios… were those what you daydreaming about while I was here, in the flesh, next to you?” 

“Well… it doesn’t sound so nice when you put it that way.”

“Uh-huh.”

“...Yes.”

“Okay then, tell me about them. These scenarios.” He drawls out the word like it’s an interesting new toy. 

You perk up, excitement pulling taut in your abdomen. “You really want to hear about them?” 

“Why not? If you’re going to be daydreaming while I’m here, might as well let me in on the fun.” 

“Only if you say please.” 

His lips stretch into the handsome, charming smile you know and love so much. It has you mentally kicking your feet like a schoolgirl, heart swelling up like a hot-air balloon.  

“Please,” he indulges, ever patient with your demands. 

“Okay, if you insist.” Content, you clear your throat after a light, giddy laugh. 

And with that, you turn the cover open.
