It feels a bit ominous... I think my story with T really might be ending.

I messaged him to tell him I did something impressive related to the essay he had supervised me on, it was a big part of our relationship before he left. At first I was disappointed by his short reply, even though he wrote, "Wow! That is impressive." I had thanked him for his help on the essay, and he ended with, "I just wish I had been there to see it through." It made me so sad. I can't tell if it's genuine, but he'd never said anything like that before. It's how I've always felt with him.

After having time to process, his response no longer feels dismissive, yet I have still run out of things to keep in touch with him about. Exactly a year ago, we reestablished contact after three months, and since then we occasionally talked about my uni applications, the final exams, etc., but I have nothing left now. Unless he messages me again first, this might be the end. It's a sad note to end on.

Other Than Dr Eggman's empire, who else do you imagine Jewel sending the diamond cutters to "deal" with? Like would they conflict with GUN? Or cooperate with them?

oh they conflict with gun. jewel doesn’t like them. she finds them rather bad at what they do, so there’s no point in her trying to work with them because she doesn’t find them very helpful, but they’re trying too hard to be in her business, so shes kind of pissed at them. when they show up, she tells lanolin and whisper to avoid them, because, being such a big organization, it wouldn’t do them well to have a target on their backs.

there’d also be a lot of ocs for this bit because jewel has a big back and forth with a lot of the people clutch used to work with.

there’s a group that clutch worked with to rake in money, and she isn’t really a fan of that bit, so she’s, at best, thrown them to the side. there’s another intel gathering group that she’s working well with because. well, she needs intel. they don’t work on the right side of the law, exactly, but she can turn a blind eye. there’s been a fair amount of thefts - never for the money, they don’t work like that - and jewel sometimes says that if they get seen, they should just go for the kill. better to leave behind bodies than eye witnesses.

she’s putting together a sort of hoard of weapons and things to use against people.

on one occasion, she’d been working with a team to get rid of some fucks that had been threatening the safety of the restoration. in the end, apparently they figured the pay was better on the other side. jewel took care of the leader of those ones herself. she needed to make it clear that she was not one to be betrayed.

Hm. Grief is weird. One minute I’m totally at peace with things, and then I realize that this is the first year of my whole entire life that we’ll have Christmas without my grandad. 22 christmases with him.
