specifically putting ice spice on karma, the song about how great life is for taylor because she’s just such a good person, where the first line of the chorus is “karma is my boyfriend”, is really fucking insidious when it’s her current boyfriend that laughed at/made racist jokes about ice spice specifically not that long ago. and then she brings her out on stage and holds her hand and there’s this dead look in ice spice’s eyes like she’s just waiting for all this to be over, like she’s just doing this for the money and exposure or contractual obligations, and it’s fucking torture to watch. taylor’s walking her around like a pet. her patronizing, demeaning approach to this situation has only reestablished the belief that taylor is a racist white woman using white women tears and white feminism to get what she wants at the expense of not just black people as a whole, but black women, because she needs to feel better than other women to truly feel like she’s won.

....almost done, its almost over. i just have to keep surviving. push through. one more day and then i can rest for a day. then four and then ill have an actual weekend. you can totally do this me. yeah. yep. mandatory overtime is a bitch but your gonna crush it like you always do and have a super thick paycheck. you're gonna get it done.

Trying out a new guitar fretting technique called not squeezing the fretboard so hard and instead pulling back with my arm and seeing if my finger joints thank me for it
#seems to be giving results so far (this afternoon)#realising one of the reasons i'm so so so stagnant is bc i can't put in the necessary time bc after a bit my fingers stop cooperating#and i start making more and more mistakes bc i can't get my fingers into the proper places and i get frustrated and give up#and it's not a matter of sore fingertips bc i need to build up calluses that's a non-issue it's the joints that have the trouble#so i'm now just trying to put less strain on the fingers and use more arm strength#and hope that i don't tire my shoulders out instead (which also happens)#pointless post

my hands have been achey all day in a very new way. usually it's just constant dull ache but now it's like. it also feels like they're swollen on the inside.

Super proud of myself... Completely took apart the probably 20-30 yo playset in the backyard so it didn't collapse under the boys. It's made of cedar so I picked out some of the salvageable wood, planned out 3 raised garden beds, cut down some wood with the circular saw (and didn't bleed).
I washed down the boards and got a lot of the moss and stuff off, and I'm about to go fill the holes that need to be filled. Then sand and build that shit.

#theres still SO much wood. i think i might try to find a place for the 2x4s#and i have to call out a junk place to pick up the rest#don't worry nothing is the same size and a lot isn't level#but these boxes are forgiving#they're going to be small most of the wood was shorter#unfortunately my joints are all pissed after an afternoon of work#i may or may not be takin advil and continuing on because it's mostly annoying pain#personal nonsense
