Last night's winner was Year of the Ox 2021.

Floral like if you eat petals. This definitely has chamomile in it, and then a warm, sweet wash of other flavors. The petal-taste/aroma is the most prominent, but then! The faintest afterbloom of spearmint across the tongue! Very unique, this one.

I have 130 varieties of tea from Adagio.com. No, this is not an advertisement. I've just gotta do something about all this tea. Links below (if they exist).

i was gonna repot my amaryllis into potted soil to prepare it for afterbloom care, but the pot i had grabbed from the deck is developing small cracks in its glazed water saucer :(

the pot itself seems fine, but i think that saucer's days are numbered, lol

Leeds post-punkers made our hearts soar earlier this November with their fantastic Double A-side Song of Cedric/Food For You. Now the fellas have  given us their fav tracks of the year! Enjoy and watch out for new tunes for em in the year 2018!

James Jennion’s picks 01. D. D Dumbo - Satan   Dead interesting textures and rhythms at play in this song and an unconventional structure make it my favourite track of the year. 02. D. D Dumbo - Brother Two songs from the same artist?!?! yeah. i can't stress how good this guy is. Brother's breakdown is the kicker for this song with all these cool muffled vocal harmonies and crazy woodwind flourishes. then the song ends with some riffs that I think are a mix of a shrieky synth and 12 string guitar with a weird wailing noise which sounds awful on paper but when you're listening to it sounds amazing. 03. Floating Points -Silurian Blue  Everything Floating Points has done since Elaenia has just been mesmerizing. This is one of those tracks that you can keep coming back to and always hear something new. Basically just a jam through and through. 04. All We Are - Dance   A really cool, wobbly guitar riff and some really nice harmonies. Also cool drums. The whole album this is from is awesome really, fresh and punchy and for some reason reminds me ever so slightly of late noughties indie rock in places.   05. MGMT - Little Dark Age   Delicious phasey synth chords and ominous, trippy vocals. MGMT have been my favourite band since I was 15 so I'm biased but I think this is a really strong and original comeback after a few years of silence. 

06. They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul Not from 2017 or even the teenies or even the 21st century, but I only heard this song for the first time this year so I'm including it. Writing a song about a sentient, bird-shaped nightlight is just so stupidly ingenious and I love the deadpan, sprechgesang vocals in this song. Also has a weirdly medieval vibe to it which never goes amiss.   Alec Wilson’s Picks 07. Superfood –Double Dutch  A standout single from their latest album, I like how they’ve progressed to a slightly more electronic sound than Don’t Say That, whilst still retaining their killer hooks and vocal harmonies 08. Mac DeMarco – This Old Dog  I’m not massively keen on the direction Mac is taking, but this track from his new album has a hauntingly beautiful quality to it; the lyrical content and stripped down instrumentation make for an introspective experience. 09. Afterbloom – Second Coming  I really dig the Pavement-esque guitar riff and overall sludgy vibe from my good friend’s band Afterbloom. 10. Bad Sounds – Zachariah  I stumbled across a live recording of this tune the other day and instantly fell in love with it – it’s got that circa 2012 Btown vibe to it as well as funky af basslines and synth parts; the backing vocals especially are superb.
