Introduction

Eiji Mizoguchi, also known as MC KRATOS, is the third member of the Aichi division group, CLOUD 9. He is a student with Japanese and African-American blood, who spends his time listening to music and avoiding others, due to bullying he suffered in his childhood.

He lived part of his life in America, where he became infected with the music of the Bronxs, which was a major influence in his current rap style, along with other genres such as pop and rock.

Eiji doesn't talk much in front of people he doesn´t know and tends to select the people he chooses to confide in. This makes him look like a somewhat strange person, however, when it comes to rapping he transforms into a beast. KRATOS is related to the personification of strength, which is very characteristic of Eiji.

Appearance

Eiji has navy blue dreadlocks with blond tips. He tends to tie it up in a small bun. He has electric green eyes.

He dresses in baggy, shabby clothes, as he considers it an essential part of his aesthetic. He wears a purple sweatshirt with holes in it and baggy pants with eye motifs on top. He also wears lots of piercings and chains.

A recent Asian American Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) graduate made headlines this month after sharing evidence of racial bias in artificial intelligence (AI).

What she asked for: Rona Wang, 24, has been experimenting with AI portrait generators. In a recent attempt, she purportedly used a program called Playground AI to turn an image of her in an MIT sweatshirt into “a professional LinkedIn profile photo.”

What she got: The program, to Wang’s surprise, returned an image that gave her a fairer complexion, dark blonde hair and blue eyes.“I was like, ‘Wow, does this thing think I should become white to become more professional?’” she told Boston.com. ...

The big picture: Racial bias is an ongoing concern in AI-generated images. While some programs have been accused of turning subjects white, others have been slammed for turning subjects Asian. Outside image generation, racial discrimination in AI facial recognition is also a concern, particularly among African Americans. How and whether artificial intelligence manages to solve these issues are yet to be seen.

It is good? No. But it is. (the gap years part 1)

I have not written any fiction (barring school assignments) in four years. I do not remember how to format dialogue. This is some hybrid of Silmarillion-style summary and normal fiction writing. 

Someday I'll look back at this and cringe but that means that I'll have done something better by then. This is tumblr after all.

Anyway, here’s the start of The Gap Years.

June 7th, 2019

The Elf capital 

Marin Sondaica -the son of Apex Emer Sondaica- and a prince of the entire Elven World, leaves a note by his bed. It reads “To all it will concern. Like my mother before me, and our highest ancestor long before her, I will be spending some time in the Human World. I will be back in about a decade. Don’t look for me unless it’s an emergency.” Marin is a lean, athletic boy with mostly African features and dark brown hair styled into shoulder-length dreadlocks. He’s trying to dress like a normal American teen, which has led to a sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off, black elven boots, and cargo pants. He’s taking a gap year. Ten of them, actually. He picks up a messenger bag and casts an illusion to become invisible before walking to the ground floor. He leaves an emerald green silhouette for an instant after disappearing. Soon, he will be in the human world. 

Not even twenty-four hours later, as Marin wanders San Francisco, a Gens Mercuralis soldier stomps into his old room and finds the untouched note.

The evening after the soldier finds the note, Ryn looks out at the night sky. He’s trying to look at the stars, but the city and the fireworks are throwing off too much light. He shouldn’t care. He just pulled off a coup, after all. Ryn is looking at stars he can barely see from a balcony of the palace, and he’s reached such heights without losing anyone that he really cares about. The next morning, as dictated by tradition, Ryn’s allies will announce the elves who died in the attacks. Ishtar will not be named, and neither will Arjuna, or any of his new council. or his children.  Everything is going great and he should not care about light pollution.

He hears Ishtar behind him. He’s never met an elf with louder footsteps, and her ancestral armor isn’t made for stealth. Blood drips off of it onto the balcony. Tradition dictates that she cannot remove her armor until the next morning. Ryn thinks that most noble traditions only exist to make everyone miserable. That being said, he is a noble too. Just one that swears on old astronauts instead of Lazarus and his void. Ishtar leans over the balcony and stares down at the water. Her eyes still glow like indigo embers hours after the end of the fighting. 

“We did it.” She says, exhausted. “I thought I would enjoy it more. Getting proper revenge? Doing what I was made for? I guess we gave up feeling that sort of good a while ago”. 

“We did do it.” It was an amazing thought. After decades of planning, they’d taken over the world. “And we decided a long time ago to forget what we were made for”. 

Fireworks burst over the harbor. This wasn’t just any coup. They had public support and an actual vision! This was uncharted territory. Ryn was the first Voyager in thousands of years to do anything new! He took Ishtar’s hand. It was bloody, but who cared. He’d planned half the scheme, might as well own it. 

“And Izzy, we have time to feel good. It’s over. The human world is going to be tedious -we’re going to be working on that for the rest of our lives- but we can't lose.” The hard part was over. She was the Apex now, and he was a Councillor. Another impossible height he’d reached.  “We have all the time in the worlds. Us and Arjuna and the kids in a universe that is going to be better, for once.”

She smiles faintly “Our kids are never going to feel like this”

San Francisco, CA

Brian, Sierra, and Clay finish packing their heavily modified car and drive towards the center of the city. They’ve given their parents a similar message. “We’ll be back for the holidays. We’re not going to do anything that causes a scandal.” 

None of them, not even Sierra, know that their home is parallel to the capital of the elven world. None of them know that there has just been a coup, or that the prince of the elven world is now walking the city like a tourist. 

It’s foggy and cool, as San Francisco usually is. The rich kids sit down in some fancy coffee shop to decide their first moves. They know where they want to go eventually, but don’t have any sort of plan. A boy about their age with long dreadlocks and bright hazel eyes sits down next to them. They are all surprised, but happy to see him. Brian thinks he met the boy at a baseball tournament years ago. They laughed at some incompetent umpire and became instant friends the way that only ten year olds can be. Sierra thinks that she’s stood beside the boy in an engineering lab, and Clay is sure that there was a party (a boring one for adults, of course) where they ran away together from the flashing cameras and overbearing adults. 

None of them notice that his eyes flash green as he sits down. None of them notice that they’ve never met him in their lives.

He's protective ith you but understands the price of fame you have to pay, allowing you to grow from success and failure. You mean the world to him, and since he puts family at the forefront of everything he does, he helps you gain perspective on a possibly intimate fourth album. But are you ready to take the pain that comes with how personal it can get? (Brazilian, usually wears suits, but can be found in a sleeves shirt and jeans if you catch him on an off-day.)

Mursi Bono/Mercy--a rapper and former girl group star. After she embarked on a solo career, her first album went viral two years after it's release, leading to her record-breaking second album! Can you help her keep the momentum going with her third album? She usually only writes with a select group of people, but her manager suggests your creativity is perfect for the visual album she's planning. (African-American, employs an emphasis on blue, pink, and purple for her out of this world wardrobe.)

Nathan Wrighter/Bright Boy--dubbed as "punk's airhead" for his soft-rock albums that employed a sense of nostalgia and naivete, he's one of the chillest people you've ever met, at least off-stage--when he's under the spotlight, his dancing and outfits are loud and show-stopping. His likeability and professional attitude is inspirational for you, wanting to remain kind and assertive at the same time. When you get to meet your hero, what advice will he give about defying expectations and redefining yourself? (Caucasian, leather and colorful clothing, secure masculinity in anything he wears.)

Rhiannon Lou--a renound songwriter known for her immaculate skill. But she's also known for her little patience; if she feels like your collaboration won't go anywhere, she'll stop and she won't mince words. However, she's not unkind, just direct, and you'll find that she's quite different when she's out of the studio, embracing a minimalist viewpoint that combats her maximalist cowriters. Darius King--an actor who you costarred with for a blockbuster animated film, he approaches you for a musical role opposite one of the most famous opera singers in the world, someone you grew up listening to a lot in your household. Jade Sawyer was more excited than she’d ever been in her entire life. Just a few years out of college, one of her old professors who’d taken a liking to her had sent her an email about an amazing opportunity. Someone needed a translator for their archeological adventure, which would take place in the Mediterranean region. She happened to meet all the requirements that the mysterious “Mr. Carter” asked for, including being fluent in Ancient Greek and Latin, able to devote up to a month’s worth of time to the project, and (strangely) having no job related to historical studies in any way. She’d studied the languages in school to proficiency, she had tons of time off saved, and she worked at a company that published mostly YA novels. 

She was an average African-American girl, working a job that bored her just to pay the bills. After growing up reading hardly anything but fantasy books for fun, she had resigned herself to a life of boredom. Jade hadn’t been contacted by any magical people asking for help, nor had she dated anyone who she could tolerate more than a few months. So at 26, she thought that was all life had to offer. Until she got the email. Now she was on a plane, about to land in Greece--one of the many countries she’d wanted to visit practically her whole life!

Jade got off the plane and nearly sprinted to the baggage claim, where she picked up her luggage. She considered herself to be a practical packer, bringing only clothes that seemed appropriate for an archeological dig (plus a cute sundress in case she got some time to explore). For the moment, she wore some joggers with a slightly cropped sweatshirt, going for comfort over anything else. And then she saw the man holding a sign with her name on it. 

He was absolutely gorgeous, about six feet all if she had to guess, and somewhere between thirty and forty (not that she cared). His dark, curly hair was windswept, and his brown eyes were in a weird place between puppy-dog and pure sex. Not to mention the part where his muscles were perfectly outlined underneath his t-shirt. In other words, Jade was trying very hard not to drool.

“Hi,” she managed, letting go of the handle of one of her bags so she could be polite and shake the man’s hand, “I’m Jade.”

An African American or Hispanic/Latino man was found dead in the Bronx River on March 1, 2024. He has yet to be identified.

Is estimated to be between 17 and 35 years old.

Wore a Red Nike zip up hooded sweatshirt, size M; a White T-shirt, with "Paramount" movie logo on front, size S; Black pants with white stripes down sides of legs, unknown size; Blue boxer briefs, brand "Columbia"; and Black Nike Air Jordans with hot pink details.

Had brown eyes and long, curly black hair.

Was about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Weighed about 171 pounds.

Had a slight bear and mustache.

This is Esteban, an incredible friend of mine and an incredible musician who plays keys in my band. He is a legend from the East LA Latin ska scene. She worked extremely hard not only to get to the point where she could start her own business and to keep herself afloat but to also raise a family, including Esteban.

Esteban is part of my family, I wouldn´t be able to do anything that I do without him, therefore Luz is also part of my family.

So now I am asking you, the people of TikTok, to help my family, to help my comunity.

Daymond Garfield John (born February 23, 1969) is a businessman, investor, and television personality. He is known as the founder, president, and CEO of FUBU, and appears as an investor on Shark Tank.

He was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens. He began working at the age of 10. He participated in a program that allowed him to work a full-time job and attend school on an alternating weekly basis, which he credits with instilling an entrepreneurial spirit. He started a commuter van service and waited tables at Red Lobster.

He started FUBU in his mother’s house. When he first had the idea for a clothing company for young men, his mother taught him how to sew and supported him by allowing her house to be taken over to grow the business.

He and his mother mortgaged their house to generate start-up capital. He recruited longtime friends into the business and began sewing the FUBU logo onto hockey jerseys, sweatshirts, and T-shirts. They loaned about 10 of the hockey jerseys out to rappers for their music videos for two years and got product placements in about 30 videos. They were perceived as a large clothing brand, despite being a relatively small company and stores started requesting their brand. He convinced LL Cool J, to wear a FUBU T-shirt for a promotional campaign. While filming a 30-second advertising spot for The Gap, LL Cool J wore a FUBU hat in the commercial and incorporated the line “for us, by us” in his rapping. FUBU has earned over $6 billion in global sales. FUBU is featured at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture.

In 2009, he received a call asking him to join the cast of Shark Tank. Shark Tank won an Emmy Award and won Outstanding Reality Program from (2012-14). Shark Tank has won 4 Emmy Awards and has been nominated 9 times.

He is dyslexic. Two of his favorite books are Think and Grow Rich and Rich Dad Poor Dad.
