Gotta say, I don’t know if it’s because it’s the first drop and they want to give off a good reliable impression, but that is some fast international delivery. Ordered on the 28th received on the 6th. UK to Canada. Yeah that’s pretty fast from past experiences. I hope they keep it up for future drops.
BUT IT’S HERE!
She came off of a transatlantic flight so she’s a bit jet lagged and banged up but all the goods are in tip top condition.
The hoodie is big but the track pants fit really well so I guess the hoodie is meant to be super baggy and droopy. I love love love that it’s 100% cotton. I usually love full cotton hoodies because they’re flexible with different seasons (you can layer them as you wish) AND they’re generally a superior quality to different types of sportswear fabric.
I’m a seamstress’ daughter and I’m trained well so I look at the seams and finishing of garments with a very critical eye😂 Genuinely can’t complain. The quality of the fabric of the body and the material used for the cuffs are really high. I shall update if anything changes after the first wash though.
Oh and a big bonus for me, there’s a little pouch in the track pants for my insulin pump! I know they designed that with me especially in mind . Not that usually all track pants have pouches inside. But yeah the zipper and the zipper flap is incorporated very seamlessly with the elastic cuff. Gotta love a good quality zipper.
I’m bringing them home with me in a couple of weeks so I’ll get my mums opinion on this. But I guess with all kinds of clothing, you gotta wait and see how durable they are as well.
Now if I wear my track pants on the long ass flight back home will the passenger next to me get annoyed with the sound? They’re not that noisy Tbf so I think I’m safe.
Something cool that I really like is that the collection is numbered. So I imagine next drop will be “collection 02”. Also how cool is the size inside the rose icon??? My graphic design heart is melting! Little details.
#I really couldn’t afford them atm but I did want a good pair of track pants#and then the hoodie spoke to me#and what’s a little debt y’know?#but I also haven’t bought a single piece of clothing this summer (or spring or winter) so 🤷🏻♀️

i think mid-thirties is gonna be lifestyle adjustments to stay ahead of the creeping midsection pudge so i don't have to throw out clothes i bought when the band Yellowcard was popular
#i both hate and can't afford clothes shopping more than strictly necessary#sit-ups are free#and you can't wear sweatpants in the summer

I know plenty of people whose depression gets worse in the winter. I’m the person whose mental health somehow gets worse from mid-May to the end of September, basically (thank you, global warming).
I hate the heat. I already want to cry. it’s not even June.
#now if i was rich and could afford a pool and air conditioning#sure summer sounds great#but i’m doomed to spend the summer not sleeping#with more migraines#sweating through all my clothes#hating my life even more

im trying to respond to people on my post who have questions or are confused but theres just so many 😭 i dont know how to explain the intricacies of classism or how hard it is to get a lawyer to start and WIN a discrimination case. especially since i dont know australian laws. but like... this behavior, denying someone a job for their outfit, is really common across the world. classism is pervasive and it's dangerous and it costs people their lives. we would have to change the capitalist system, change policies across the globe, and work on our internalized classist beliefs for the rest of our lives.
#i think a lot of people are sharing the post in shock and horror. not knowing that this happens to people every day. which is really sad.#like. this is an issue that is literally ignored and swept under the rug. to the point where people dont think about it. even though like.#when you hear about Interview/Business Culture you know you have to dress well. everyone knows that's like step 1. but people havent#actually stopped and asked what the purpose of that is or what that means. people haven't considered what happens if you break that rule. or#why that rule is there at all... emily gwen said that they can't afford new clothing. and couldnt get the words out in the moment. but like.#imagine this from the interviewer's perspective. she saw someone who was 'unprofessional' because of their clothing. and that's fucked up!#WE know the situation because of their post. but they shouldnt need to justify their attire like that to get a damn job. we dont need to#know someones circumstances to treat them like a person. and i want everyone to really think about this. how many times in your life have#you seen someone with worn out clothes. dirty clothes. clothes with holes in them. clothes that are 'too casual' for their setting. and how#have you treated those people? how have you thought about them? and think about this in media. how many people with bad clothes are seen as#irresponsible? or treated like shit? this happens every day. and it's not australia specific or america specific either. it's everywhere.#so please show others compassion. this experience is traumatic and alienating. it's hard to reach out. its embarassing to talk about.#and it's even harder to get legal defense for this stuff. you need money and you need solid proof. oftentimes people have neither.#other things to consider clothing-wise: clothes that dont fit. too big or too small. modified outfits. clothes that dont match the weather#(like wearing a sweater in the summer or thin shirts/shorts in the winter). like. these are things people judge all the time idk.#what happened to emily was horrific. but it's not new and youre not immune to thinking the same way.#anis gaymer moments

Current temperature inside of my room right now in the middle of the night whilst about to go to sleep... villain origin story...
#You just get SOOOOO tired of being hot all the time for multiple days straight.. with very little relief ever... hhHHHH#I forget that I literally lose my mind and become evil every summer like clockwork#I don't evenknow what I mean by that because I'm just as calm/monotone as ever lol.. but I just feel more evil.. low level pent up rage#or something. nothing changes on the outside but on the inside it's like hmm.. I'm like 5% more hostile than I usually am#not outwardly expressed still of course. but just.. my bones are made of a little more violence recently..#percentages moving around. My character stats get a temporary modifier all summer where I feel chronically just a LIIIITLE more noticably#unhinged. like I will never do it of course. but I will think about. maybe I'll just throw all the plates at the wall and break every wind#ow with a baseball bat. No. I shant. I would never.. but .. I could. 5% more than I usually could. But I shan't. but let it be known.. I#c o u l d ...i COULD.. if I had to. but I don't.. but still.. keep the notion in the back of the mind.. hmm.. lol#And this is not even during a heat wave at the moment it's just like.. normal summer.. >:')#I think it's also largely the shitty apartment which was not built for coolness. Like older houses will have tall cielings and those window#above the doors and ceiling fans and be built high up from the ground and all these other ways to manage warm weather#naturally. but cheaply constructed dinky city apartments with no ventilation and windows only on one side and blah blah#It retains heat insanely like being trapped in a green house or something#even with all the windows open & fans in the house and stuff it just doesn't really move air well because the space is not made to do that.#Also really testing my anticapitalism/leftism/etc... sitting and thinking 'damn maybe I should play the stock market.. I should sell#some sculptures and overprice them.. howmuch could I charge for these clothes..' < *is desperate to afford a living situation with central#heating and air conditioning*#Haha! Guillotines?? who said anything about those? I LOVE rich people.. haha.. now what's a guy gotta do to instantly get about $50.000 ar#ound here? haha! kidnap someone and sell their organs? okay haha! I love the free market! going to home depot right#now to buy an axe! Don't you just hate taxes? so glad I live in the best country in the world under the best economic system on the planet#USA! USA!! USA!!! *visibly shaking. nose starts bleeding. you notice i am also levitating off the ground slightly*#ANYWAY gfgfgh.... winter......... my sweet child....i miss you so so much.... SUMMER you are my ENEMY#ah well now it's gone down to 80.4 Farenheight. cancel post. thats such an improvemtn surely I'll be able to sleep soundly now /s#what was I ever worried about? it's all good! haha!! *still levitating a little *#In better news - I have finished the Victorian Pharmacy documentary series and am now watching them build a medieval castle! and one of my#goofy joke song snippets suddenly got 6.000 views on youtube which was cool?? though very random? I made kale chips again. and had asparag#us. And saw a duck. carved a lot of things out of avocado pits. Little tidbits to keep me sane..#See a funny little duck outside and go 'hmm... life is okay actually :) I no longer want to break windows :3'#then it gets like 85F inside again and you're liek NEVERMINDaaaaaaahhh!!!!! then you see a duck next morning and calm down :)

got sent home early today because we're properly staffed and I was one of the earliest in
it felt less optional than the last few times I went home early though, and was close to three hours early, which, on top of how That One Pharmacist irked me about me trying to do some of my capstone reading in between customers, had me going home nearly livid
decided TODAY I AM GOING TO GET THAT FUCKING BIKE DOWN AND GO RIDE
eventually did
got on bike
started to ride
holyfuckingshitIamtoooutofshapeforthis
I only made it a few blocks before I had to turn around :c
I can do squats fine, btw. I am regularly squatting at work to grab script bags on the bottom hanger and standing straight up from that squat unaided. My legs are not pathetic by any means
My biking muscles, on the other hand, apparently wanted to have a good laugh
#kite rambles#I've been feeling uncomfortable in my clothes lately#like I have tried VERY VERY hard to unlearn the body image issues my mom inadvertently tried very hard to instill in me#so I'm trying not to have an issue with the weight in terms of the number#but it is hard to ignore that my clothes have begun to feel a bit restrictive lately#and I can't afford to just go buy new ones#so my deal with myself is to start taking the bike out after work on shifts that end at 4 or 5 (or 2:30 >:c )#so today was day 1 I guess#but no I've been reading and highlighting sources for my capstone during slow times at work for the entire week#TODAY that one pharm was like 'you can't do non-work things like that'#like hi bitch you're not actually my boss and literally no one else has had an issue despite me very clearly not hiding it so fuck off#if I hadn't been the only one sent early I honestly would have felt a bit targeted though#so maybe it's time to look elsewhere for a job#cause I was not shy about letting them know I wasn't happy to leave close to three hours early#and her response was basically tough luck it's going to happen a lot over the summer when we actually have proper staffing#and it's like oh okay well then maybe I should find somewhere that won't cut my hours#or will at least sympathize with me about it#GUYS I HAVE BEEN SO SHORT TEMPERED LATELY HELP#I don't know if it's a meds thing or not and I worryyyyy

WHO... IS BUYING NEW CLOTHES.... MORE THAN ONCE A YEAR....... WHO ??????
#like. this is entirly a conceot introduced to me by my roommate. my mother got maybe a single new dress or top a month#fashion and thus fast fashion makes no sense to me. i am going to buy a piece of clothing and then i am going to wear it until it is#physically indecent for me to wear in public and then i am going to mend the crotch (generally) and keep wearing it casually or as pajamas.#people who can afford to and do buy clothes more often than once or twice a year arem bizarre to me.#why. why do you need to do that. if you have clothes that fit and cover your body in a way that you are comfortable with. why...#okay okay actually i buy socks maybe 5 times a year because i LOSE THEM SO FAST ITS INSANE I FEEL DERANGED#any way. im watching a video abt fast fashion#any apparently people legitimately buy a dress to wear like. once.#insane to me.#and the only reason i buy clothes new is because shopping overwhlems me to such a degree if i try one more than like 2 pairs of clothes#i will have to leave the store with nothing. it is TOO MUCH sensory input.#so trying to buy second hand clothing is. as one may imagine as a fat man with one belt. pretty difficult.#its just so BIZARRE TO ME........... WHY. IM SO CONFUSED AND BAFFLED. LIKE. THERE IS NO NEED............#the most i think about buying new clothes is i want to get some modest linen summer wear. GOOD LUCK W THAT THO.#me: okay maybe I'll just figurenout how to make it okay show me linen#fabric store: 3 different cotton blends marked as linen#me: LINEN.#online only store: actual linen that to buy the amount i would need to make a full outfit and dressing gown for mysekf would run like 90$#me: .....NVM I DONT NEED CLOTHES NUDITY IS STILL IN.

seriously though this is one of the major reasons I chose Archeology as a career. not because it has breaks or vacation periods, it doesn't, but because if you're the type of archeologist who works directly on-site (which is my goal), your work switches from indoor (advanced analyses, research, writing/project proposals) to outdoor (site work) from mid spring-late autumn.
I may not get a BREAK from work for the summer, but my job does become "go outside and dig holes until you find something neat"
I think adults need summer vacation. Like let's just close down all our jobs for three months and play outside. Please. I'm so tired.
#fucking love archeology#yes ik im privileged to b in this field. but also no it does not pay much above minimum wage lmao#fuck “higher standard of living” i get to DIG.#i dont want to b able to afford expensive clothes or nice restaurants. i want to come home in the summer with a tan and dirt in my hair#and still afford to eat.

"Mastering the July Santa Brisket: 10 Smoking Tips for Summer BBQs"
"July Santa Brisket Smoking Smoker" is a whimsical concept that combines the festive spirit of Christmas with the summertime tradition of barbecue. This unique idea reimagines Santa Claus as a pitmaster, trading his sleigh for a smoker and his toy workshop for a backyard barbecue setup.
Buy now:19.95$
Picture a jolly Santa, donning a red Hawaiian shirt and shorts instead of his usual winter attire, tending to a large smoker filled with juicy brisket. His white beard might be slightly tinged with barbecue sauce, and instead of milk and cookies, he's sampling different BBQ rubs and sauces.
This concept could inspire summer gatherings, blending the joy of Christmas with the relaxed atmosphere of a July cookout. It might feature decorations like tinsel-wrapped smokers, barbecue tool ornaments, or stockings filled with grilling accessories.

The "July Santa Brisket Smoking Smoker" idea celebrates the art of slow-cooked barbecue, particularly the beloved brisket, while adding a touch of out-of-season holiday cheer. It's a playful way to bring together two beloved traditions, creating a unique and memorable summer experience for barbecue enthusiasts and Christmas lovers alike.
"Mens Merry Briskmas Christmas" is a clever play on words that combines the traditional holiday greeting with a barbecue enthusiast's passion for brisket. This concept caters to men who love grilling and smoking meat, particularly during the festive season.
The phrase might be featured on holiday-themed apparel like t-shirts, aprons, or hats, perfect for the man who's as comfortable by the smoker as he is by the Christmas tree. It could also inspire gift ideas such as BBQ tool sets, specialty rubs, or cookbooks with a holiday twist.

my tags got out of hand
i keep thinking about hobbies and how i often spill over myself to pick up new ones. i have adhd, i end up trying something for like a month and then just getting far enough in it that i move on, satisfied.
and that should be fine; but it's never fine.
i am a pretty decent artist; but i can't just make art for my dnd campaign, i should be selling dnd maps and character designs and scene setting pieces. i can't just make my friends matching earrings, i need to get an etsy and ship them internationally and take bulk orders. i make pretty good props and decorations and use them to throw my friends parties - but i should be running a party planning business and start taking paying clients and networking and putting my skills to actual use.
for some reason, i never figured out the specifics of pottery. it was a fun class and i enjoyed myself - and still, i'm embarrassed, years later, that i put in all that useless effort. everything i make has to be stunning. stellar. i should have applied myself more. maybe i'm too lazy. maybe i'm broken and selfish and needy. actually creative people would have kept going; they would be bettering themselves at every possible opportunity.
we find ourselves in this trap, even accidentally: we need to commodify our time, because it is a commodity. if we spend our efforts and our time not earning, isn't that the same thing as burning free money? and god forbid you ever take up a hobby that ends up being more expensive than you thought. you sit in your car and you look at the receipt and in your head you hear a conversation that isn't even happening - your mom or your friend or your partner all saying oh great. not this shit again. it's always something with you, and it never actually means anything.
i have realized this horrible thing, recently - i'll get excited to start a project, pick up a new hobby. and then i just... stop myself. i start thinking about the amount of time it will take, and how it'll look in my monthly budget. what if i can't even produce a good enough final product. sure, it's exciting to think about how i could make my friend her own custom dice. but i'm just polluting the earth if i don't get it right. better not bother. better not try.
restless, i get caught in the negative space. the feeling that oh god, i want to create. and that horrible sense - yeah, but i don't have the time to just put to waste.
#oh my god i’m not the only person in the whole world who has Struggles and Difficulties#i am in pharmacy school which means i have no money no time etc and so every single thing that would bring an iota of joy or escape#must be cut for time because you haven’t studied for your exam next month so no you cannot start watching that the show.#and because you missed the deadline two weeks ago for that group project that the others did for you there will be no sitting at the piano#also you made a c and not a b on the exam yesterday so maybe instead of ordering takeout like you said you were going to#(because you know that you don’t buy real food on the rare occasion you go to the grocery store)#instead you’re gonna have to pick through your bare cabinets and empty fridge freezer for something. or just not eat#like you sometimes do#this is not a problem bc you’ve saved your money which you can’t afford to waste#that’s what they told you when you started: tell your friends you can’t see them much because a doctoral program is a time commitment#they said: you need to quit your side hustles and get an internship#they said: you need to ask for cleaning supplies for your birthday—and clothes and shoes bc tuition is very expensive#this isn’t some deficiency on your part. everyone else lives in isolation with no hobbies or entertainment too.#the only difference is that THEY spend all that time studying and reviewing and working and preparing—#while YOU are laying in bed all day because the thought of writing that paragraph is nauseating and tomorrows exam is slowly enveloping you#and you can tell because you had to retake those 2 classes and you have to retake another one this summer.#never mind that you still don’t know anything. just keep playing the part. stay afloat until this week’s exam is over#then you can worry about next week’s exams#(you WILL worry about next week’s exams)#learning the ukulele isn’t going to ease your stress it’s just gonna make you feel guilty#what do you mean you already feel guilty because you’ve pulled the ukelele out exactly twice since mom gave it to you for christmas?#that webseries updates 4 times a week. can you honestly tell me that you have 4 hours a week where you don’t feel shame#about not exceeding expectations anymore?#i thought not. close your compute— you didn’t even take it out of your bag.#do you ever take it out of your bag at home?#you don’t.#well i can see why you’re such a fucking failure#it’s 3:27 am but i won’t bother telling you to shower or brush your teeth- i know you don’t do that.#you went to bed three and a half hours ago now it’s time to sleep#maybe we’ll see what tomorrow has for us

every problem in my life could be solved with money and i mean that soooooooo seriously like anyone who says money is not important for happiness is a LIAR bc if i had money, and not even a LOT of money but just a BIT of money, my ENTIRE life would be a billion billion times better :(
#like i am being so real when i say this like money is the BIGGEST thing to me bc it ruins my whole life and consumes every thought and every#moment like i CANNOT rest or relax ever because all i can think abt is MONEY and the fact that i do not have any#and then i get rly rly sad bc not only can i not afford my meds that improve my life endlessly but i cannot even afford cheap secondhand#vinted clothes for summer and mine litearlly have holes and tears LOL like i have a lot of clothes in the wardrobe but theyre not every day#clothes and the only every day clothes i have r starting to ltierally wear out#EVERYTHING WOULD BE FIXED WITH MONEY it makes me so suicidal sometimes thinking abt how not everyone is born poor and into a poor family
