Terrifying terror cult ? Well, yes, but also immensely awkward found family. Also everyone is sure that the leaders are fucking, but no one’s quite sure which pairing it is, or if it’s all three of them. At once

The sheer amount of possessiveness between the three of them is enough to offset the Earth’s rotation, which certainly doesn’t help matters

I made so search about Ifrit and I found some interesting things:

Ifrit, also spelled as efreet, afrit, and afreet is a powerful type of demon in Islamic mythology.

In Moroccan belief, the afarit form a more powerful type of demon, compared to the djinn and other supernatural creatures. With the aid of a magical ring, the afarit might be forced to perform certain orders. -Ifrit appears frequently in film and video games. In the Final Fantasy video game series, an ifrit appears as a summonable spirit or/and an enemy. Like its mythological counterpart, it is a spirit of fire and can use an iconic spell called Hell-Fire Demon Summonable Fire In Iruma universe, it probably meant that this family of demon has a history of being summoned by humanity. So much that they left a trace on history, folklore and myths like we see now in games and stuff like that.

It also mean that Ifrit is perfectly aware that humans exist. Even if he has not been summoned himself, his ancestors have been.

Imagine if Iruma's parents find the summoning circle of Ifrit after some shady searches. or maybe they weren't shady and that they used the first circle that they found in their searches and it happened to be the ifrit one.

So Ifrit-sensei is summoned, he literally dispear during a meeting with his coworkers.

And he appears in the human realm like "….really? it has been centuries since last time a member of my family has lived that. and that's my turn. Damn!"

Iruma BAD parents: "Hello mister demon, we summoned you for a affair!

Ifrit: …i hope that you don't call a demon for nothing because someone less patient than me could have been angry you know, especially that your circle is badly made. My ancestors would have eaten you on the spot ya know.

Iruma BAD parents: We want money

Ifrit: sigh humanity will never change, they were right. light up a cigarette I'm really disappointed now.

Iruma BAD parents: we give you our son as payment.

Ifrit: ….I'm sorry what?"

And the teachers of Babyls have a son now.

of course there'd be that one teacher who's like "can we eat him?" And the rest would be like "wtf no"

I can see ifrit being the wine aunt who'd fucking kill for iruma like just say the word sweetie and they're a goner

Kalego would pretend he doesn't like iruma but he's such a dad an so in denial and everyone would make fun of him

Of course balam would be a mother hen making sure iruma is ok from the trauma of his parents leaving him, meanwhile iruma is there like "this isn't as bad as i thought it'd be. I think I'll stay" ( ya know without all the bs sullivan pulled on him at the beginning and all these people making sure ma boi doesn't get caught and keeping him safe+well fed like why wouldn't he want to stay)

Sullivan would be watching them like "haha these demons antics" but then he'd have one interaction with iruma and he'd be like "he's mine now" and try kidnapping him

Iruma would just smile at opera like "nice to meet you, opera-san!" And opera would immediately help sullivan in kidnapping iruma

I cant help but see dantalion being a little shit who always messes with iruma idk why that's just his vibe

I feel like marbas would just be hanging around in the back like "iruma already has all these demons taking care of him he'll come to me if he needs anything" and then iruma goes to him in his very sweet iruma-way and halfway through marbas would be like i would die for this kid

after centuries of emotional rollercoasters you would think nothing would impress him – yes, him, an empath, a person whose sensations could make him quiver to the core. of course erebus enjoyed the lack of excitement, but chihan wanted to feel – sometimes he could not. but then, then he met him. him – a beautiful flower waiting to be cared for. him – so marvellous, he moved like a songbird. him, him, him. chihan was helplessly smitten with the stranger he saw dropping by his coffee shop. well, the ownership of the place was questionable at best. chihan did not remember buying it, he just woke up one day with this gorgeous store – and he did not complain. it was probably the best thing erebus ever did – whether he wanted to, or not.

but the location is far less important – maybe a little important. you see, the way the blue light hits his face is fascinating, chihan would stop and stare breathlessly. he was a work of art, and chihan wanted to touch him, he wanted to sculpt his features, make him immortal. and his heart would flutter every time he would look at him accidentally. he was always focused, lost in his task – chihan saw him draw, write notes, and study. he guessed he was a student, otherwise why would he spend so much time there? the shop was pretty popular among the younger generation – the chill vibes, the neat aesthetics, and the amiable service. chihan would usually watch over, make sure everything is in check – only rarely did he let people see him. but when they did, they were never disappointed. chihan was a pretty cheery person, always smiling, always polite. now his twin was a different story – yes, that is how he managed to get away with it. naming erebus his twin was almost disgusting – chihan’s self-loathing was getting in the way a lot of times. nevertheless, erebus has always been rude. and when he was out, the shop was not cared for – maybe it was for the best. however, erebus has been dorment for a while now. a long enough while to allow chihan to fall helplessly in love with a complete stranger.

do not get him wrong, chihan was definitely a hopeless romantic – but he has subdued any intense emotions, erebus was particularly hateful towards love. but this time – there was something about this particular boy that just made chihan act recklessly, made him almost believe he was normal. how much he wished he were – if erebus did not exist, if. erebus was there, chihan just ignored him – the part of him he hated so much. his entire attention was on the stranger, his every breath was to see him, his every smile was for him, he was dedicated to an imaginary cause. maybe it was what helped him stay in control for so long – maybe this was the cure.

anyways, chihan’s eyes could not leave the table next to the window – how splendid the light hit his face, warming his features, colouring his hair, brushing his fingers. chihan clumsily slid his elbow across the bar, successfully hitting an empty cup, almost dropping it on the floor. one of the waitresses gave him a concerned look, he just smiled at her. this was it – he had to make a move. months, months he has been staring and nothing more. he never made any sort of move – if you disregard the extra drinks he has been sending and paying for from his own pocket. it was the least he could do, he was shy – he felt younger, at least a few centuries younger. suddenly, his mind was eighteen – he never experienced peaceful teenager years. he dreaded all that bundled up emotion, because erebus fed on it greedily. but this was positive, this was the best thing that happened to him in a very long time.

with all his might, he dropped the shy act. it was time, it was time, oh hell. chihan took a deep breath and picked his order, telling the waitress that he can deliver it himself. she gave him a knowing look, but he disregarded. he moved carefully, every step he took was painful – he could feel the air leave his body the closer he got. he has never been this close – and, he felt dizzy. the scent, it was so alluring, it made him float for a second. he could not put his finger on it, but somehow it made sense. he almost expected it – it felt like home. he was so nervous, his hands started to tremble – but he pulled himself together fast. he wanted to seem confident, confidence is attractive, right? he took a deep breathe, and placed the cup on the stranger’s table. he bit the inside of his cheeks so hard, it was a wonder he did not start bleeding immediately. he cleared his throat to announce his presence – how he hated to disturb him, he looked so peaceful, ethereal. he was so surreal – chihan could not believe he was alive. it felt like a dream.

“you’re a regular, so this is on the house,” chihan said in his scottish accent, that only got stronger over the years. he kept it simple, and his voice did not tremble! but his muscles were so clenched, he hoped he did not look constipated. he smiled – maybe a little too lost, dreamy. he did not want to leave, but he felt bad for invading someone’s privacy, he was not nosy. he turned on his heels and his lips curled up so much, he probably looked insane. that was all it took to make him happy. and his heart started beating so fast, he would not be surprised if everyone could hear it.

africa and middle east in jujutsu kaisen

there’s something that picked my curiosity in jujutsu kaisen, in chapter 136 and it’s something that yuki was saying to getwo

“and the middle east would not remain silent” the countries that are highlighted are Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and Oman and I feel like the country on top is Kazakshtan? (correct me if I’m wrong)

All of these countries are mostly Muslim so I was wondering if the curses there would be inspired by Jnouns/’Afarit?

Anyway!! As Yuki was talking about the fact that the Middle East will revolt if Getwo’s plan worked, I was wondering if Gege would use Jnouns in his story? Or what if he introduces a character from there? I would absolutely LOOOOOVE to see it. There’s only few jujutsu sorceres in overseas as we can see in the first bubble in the second panel.

We know that Yuta went to Africa to look for an item for Gojo so we already know that there are Jujutsu Sorcerers in Africa. He went to different countries in Africa, one of them is Morocco (yes I can flex oN THAT).

It would be AMAZING to see a Shaman from Africa or Middle East like I just wish to have a character from there. I mean yes, we have Miguel but still tho?? gege DO ITTTTT DON’T BE A COWARD

Ifrit from Arabian mythology.

In Quran, hadith and Mi'raj narrations the term is always followed by the phrase among the jinn. In later folklore, they developed into independent entities, identified as powerful demons or spirits of the dead who sometimes inhabit desolate places such as ruins and temples. Their true habitat is the underworld.

In Islamic folklore, the afarit became a class of chthonic spirits, inhabiting the layers of the seven earths, generally ruthless and wicked, formed out of smoke and fire. But despite their negative depictions and affiliation to the nether regions, afarit are not fundamentally evil on a moral plane; they might even carry out God’s purpose. Such obligations can nevertheless be ruthless, such as obligation to blood vengeance and avenging murder. An ifrit can further be bound to a sorcerer, if summoned.

A story circulates among the Shabak community in Northern Iraq about a certain ifrit who incensed Ali by his evil nature long before the creation of Adam. Consequently, for the ifrit’s wickedness, Ali chained the ifrit and left him alone. When the prophets arrived, he appeared to all of them and begged them for his release, but no prophet was able to break the chains of the ifrit. When Muhammad found the ifrit, he brought him to Ali. Ali had mercy with the ifrit. He decided to release him under the condition that he surrender to the will of God.

God, being the protagonist of my story (Crimson Redux) is literal hell because imagine having a dad who’s a serial killer only to find out that no, actually he’s more of a monster hunter, before then finding out that no, he serial killed on the side too actually, and then finding out that he used to work for your best friend.

And if that wasn’t enough, imagine finding out that not only did your dad and best friend fuck while your dad worked for him, not only was your friend the dom, but the earring your dad wears all the time is actually one of your friend’s teeth, and the reason he’s never taken it off is that it’s hoop has been welded shut.

Oh, and if all that somehow wasn’t enough, imagine finding out that your dad was into pup play.

Which you really should have seen coming, given the wolf’s-head-earring welded to his other ear, but oh well
