Dew doesn't like quintessence magic

It's not that he doesn't like it in general. He can appreciate it's healing qualities, it's ability to help calm people, and everything good of the sort.

He's just seen first hand what it can do in the wrong hands.

He's been on his fair share of quint magic.

It's powerful, and terrifying.

If a ghoul has enough control over their magic they can use it to make you a completely different person.

Use it to screw up your mind, believe things that aren't true, remove parts of memory.

It can change who you are entirely.

Aether smiled and leaned against Venti. He closed his eyes, and listened to Venti’s music. He rooted around his bag, and offered up a sweet apple he had picked along the way. He offered it to Venti wordlessly with a smile. He slowly began to fall asleep.

*Aether plops down at the base of the Windrise tree. He leans against it and curls up, tired eyes closing. He seems a bit pained as he tries to drift to sleep.*

Venti had been in the middle of sitting beneath the Windrise tree, getting out of the sun from a long day of walking around and looking pretty. He saw the tiredness of the traveller and giggled as he himself had just been feeling tired.

It would not be long before his lyre appeared in hand and Venti played a nice relaxing tune for the traveller. Aether must have fought many foes and collected much treasure before arriving here.

As for a price for the music? Oh, Aether made Venti smile today with his mere presence! That was enough of a reward in the bard's eyes.
