I think I saw you mention on one of your art posts that a few of your characters are from the future. How did you come up with their ideas and with them being from the future?
Silver needs more friends 'cause he can't permanently stay in the past with the main cast.
Aaaaand I also kinda wanted to try exploring his time period in a story arc or something.
I tried to give each of them a different ability to keep it unique. I think I recall it being mentioned at one point by Silver (I forget where exactly though off the top of my head) that espers were VERY common in his time, so most of the future folks are espers.
Crystal is a hydrokinetic and I made her a fish for that reason. Aero has aerokinesis, so I wanted him to be a flier. He was originally going to be a bird, but I realized that I already have a bunch of bird characters and went with a bat instead. Xap has electrokinesis and I wanted him to have a kinda gremlin-like personality. I figured what better species than a chihuahua?
Nebula exists because I wanted another snake and I decided to shove him into the future for more variety and gave him telepathy.
Jinxy's creation was sparked by a conversation I had with a friend, in which she brought up hybrid characters and it lowkey made me want to make one. I based him off some old MLP OCs that I no longer use and cannibalized bits of their design elements to make him. So that's why he's a bat pony. And again for variety's sake, I shoved him into the future and gave him the curse ability of future sight.
And finally we have Aria and Koe, who are a duet from the future and also (so far) the only non-espers from the future group. Aria is also special in the fact that she's (so far) the only one of them with direct ties to the main cast (she's Cynthia's distant descendant!). They exist literally just 'cause I thought a duet like them would be cool. :)

do you think Rocket could've used more "tech genius" moments in the movies? For someone supposedly smarter than Stark, it's not actually really shown..
love your fics btw AAAH
yayyyy! i love asks of any variety and it’s been a while since i’ve gotten one so thank you for this! ♡ unfortunately that means you’re getting a novel ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)*.゚ I’d love to hear YOUR thoughts if you wanna share! and also thank you for saying something so nice about my fics. im so glad you’ve enjoyed them!
and i'm turning this into
headcanon 18 ˚₊‧✶
a standard disclaimer: i am highly biased in the fact that i am like “every scene should have 100% more rocket, even scenes that are already rocket”
but i think two things are going on here
the first is that i think as a general audience, we read tony’s genius more easily than rocket’s (and yes this is a cultural indictment). tony spends a long time making a pretty iron suit with his bruce-wayne-money and some cool weird holographic touchscreens in a shiny lab, and people pick up on that more easily than rocket scavenging parts from the milano to make a bunch of bombs and a moon-killing firearm in five minutes (tantamount to less than a second of actual screen time) because it’s quick and grimy and he just keeps them in a dirty box. audiences are classist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and im making this assertion because we do it all the time with real-life geniuses too
this relates to my second point which is that i think that “tech genius moments” probably dont play well with a general audience when there are “too many” of them, and that in the main trilogy the writers relied on a lot of narrative cues that the audience was meant to pick up (but didn’t, or didn’t in quite the same way that they did with tony because again — pretty shiny lab vs dirty box) & we’re supposed to use those to attribute intuitive technological, strategic, and piloting genius to rocket
let’s break it down! (because im up early && work doesn’t start for another hour)
in volume one, when rocket breaks everyone out of the Kyln im pretty sure we’re meant to read that as a sequence establishing him as the tech & strategic mastermind of the group. i think that is meant to be confirmed in the sequence where in like five minutes he’s salvaged a ton of parts from the milano to make his box-o-bombs & the hadron enforcer, which is the weapon that makes the end of volume one possible, having been used to knock out ronan initially and to break the stone from the cosmi-rod or universal weapon or whatever. (keep in mind he repaired the hadron enforcer within moments of crashing the warbird into the dark aster, crashing the aster into a planet, losing his best friend, getting tossed around by the cosmi-rod, AND having only the resources available to him on a crash-site/battlefield. i do wish we’d gotten more of THIS sequence but like i guess we had to make time to watch chris pratt dance. whatever; i guess i get it from a cinematic standpoint — a classic “it was your story all along but the studio wanted us to focus on starlord” situation)
in volume two, every tech advancement the team has is directly or indirectly credited to rocket. the aero rigs being the main one, i think? but there’s also the mines in the berhert forests with the yondu clan, a conflict where one lil guy almost beat a hoarde of ravagers all by his lonesome due to his strategic genius (and i suspect still would have if not for the unexpected addition of nebula). we also have the dialogue with quill where he asserts that he’s a piloting genius. and rocket’s genius is once again the main reason they win the fight — his ability to create the battery-bomb in like twenty seconds or less.
in volume three, we see him invent gravity boots, we’re meant to attribute the creation of the bowie and presumably the entire speaker system threading knowhere to him (im not sure but possibly also the ocular cannon and some other other knowhere shit??). he’s responsible for all nebula’s upgrades (⸝⸝o̴̶̷᷄‸o̴̶̷̥᷅⸝⸝) which are FANCY. and even though he’s just a babby, we see him solving complex equations, resolving problems the high evolutionary struggled with, crafting a key out of stolen odds-and-ends, and piloting a spacecraft he’s probably never even seen before.. additionally the gravity boots circle back around and are key in his overcoming the high evolutionary (through a combo of tech skill & strategic genius)
i think, narratively speaking, this is a solid amount of “genius establishment” with the time we had, imo. if we made the movies longer to add in more genius moments, i would not complain, though!
THAT SAID. look infinity war and endgame treated our boy so badly. SO badly. i feel certain that given five minutes in Nidavellir he could’ve figured out another way to get that forge up and running. I think we see rocket with the science bros working on the gauntlet (a dynamic i would quite have enjoyed more if) and working on… maybe he’s prepping the benatar for the time heist? I can’t remember, but it’s when he gives stark the classic “you’re only a genius on earth” line. but iw/endgame didn’t give a fuck about the guardians (i get it, i get it, it was the send-off for the og avengers, whatever) so it’s a lot of weak shit and i do wish we had more things establishing him as the true brains of that outfit lol
ANYWAY that’s all my thoughts!! thanks for this really fun ask!!!

Hubble spots a cluster of emission nebulae within the Large Magellanic Cloud
A bubbling region of stars both old and new lies some 160,000 light-years away in the constellation Dorado. This complex cluster of emission nebulae is known as N11, and was discovered by American astronomer and NASA astronaut Karl Gordon Henize in 1956.
NASA's Hubble Space Telescope brings a new image of the cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), a nearby dwarf galaxy orbiting the Milky Way.
About 1,000 light-years across, N11's sprawling filaments weave stellar matter in and out of each other like sparkling candy floss. These cotton-spun clouds of gas are ionized by a burgeoning host of young and massive stars, giving the complex a cherry-pink appearance.
Throughout N11, colossal cavities burst from the fog. These bubbles formed as a result of the vigorous emergence and death of stars contained in the nebulae. Their stellar winds and supernovae carved the surrounding area into shells of gas and dust.
N11's stellar activity caught the attention of many astronomers, as it is one of the largest and most energetic regions in the LMC. To investigate the distribution of stars in N11, scientists used Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys, taking advantage of its sensitivity and excellent wide-field resolution.
The cluster houses a wide array of stars for Hubble to examine, including one area that has stopped forming stars, and another that continues to form them. Hubble's unique capabilities allowed astronomers to comprehensively study the diversity of stars in the N11 complex, and map the differences between each region.

i think it's worth discussing how of all the guardians, rocket makes the most effort to push people away, but also makes the deepest connections with people compared to... pretty much anyone else, maybe peter excluded.
we don't see as many examples of him bonding with drax, mantis, && gamora, but let's talk about what we do see.
peter: even when they're fighting, the fact that they fight is proof of how closely linked they are, && by volume three, peter is calling rocket his best friend, which should speak for itself. groot: groot was, assumedly, the first person rocket dared get close to after losing lylla/teefs/floor, && we see how tight their bond is simply because rocket let groot travel with him. groot was the first person who was able to fill that void in his heart, && he died protecting rocket. && then baby groot, as groot's son, was like a child to rocket even more than the other guardians. yondu: this is honestly a post all on its own, but i'll just highlight the four standout scenes: their conversation in the cell, their flawless teamwork fight scene, their argument on the ship ("i know who you are, boy, because you're me."), rocket refusing to leave yondu behind but then giving him the space suit && aero-rig knowing that he would sacrifice himself to save peter, && the ravager funeral ("he didn't chase them away. even though he yelled at them. and was always mean. and he stole batteries he didn't need.") the way they connected on such a deep level over the course of a single day is insane to me && i'll never not be emotional over it. their friendship means everything to me. kraglin: sort of by proxy of rocket's friendship with yondu, these two have a bond, && we don't get to see it as much but seeing as they're in the new guardians team (&& i suspect kraglin is second in command) they're obviously going to be close.) nebula: bro i don't even know where to begin here, but the fact they they were the only guardians left after infinity war, the fact that they worked together, the fact that they comforted each other, the hand holding scene in endgame, && everything between them in vol 3 proves that honestly, after peter, nebula is most certainly rocket's closest living friend. thor: another instant bond! they clicked right away, && thor respected rocket which made him shoot up in favor with him. i don’t agree with james gunn saying they don’t keep in touch because they absolutely do. lylla/teefs/floor: not that they need any explanation, but rocket's pure, uninhibited love && loyalty for them, && the fact that those are the memories he relived as he was dying, && they were the people he saw in the afterlife, speaks volumes about rocket's ability to bond with others.

Hi! Absolutely love your work, you are so talented! I have an idea for a fic, I'm not sure if it has been used before or such (you don't have to use it ofc).
So, the iconic scene in gotg2 where Yondu yells "I'm Mary Poppins y'all". But switch Peter with y/n and then later Yondu tries to act cool in front of the crew because he is 'as cool as Mary Poppins', which makes Peter laugh and when he tells Yondu why - the whole crew laughs too - making Yondu very pissed at y/n.
This is so cute! Absolutely! (And thank you!!!) I've actually never gotten/seen a prompt like this, but I like a challenge lol (imagine if I just... re-wrote the whole movie with reader added lol) Author's Note: I know this was supposed to just be a drabble, but it got away from me (mostly because I re-wrote the ending of GOTG2 to fit in how the Reader fit into the story/how Yondu survived and the after-events of that) and now it's 5,263 words... oops lol
Enjoy!
***
You stared up in relief at Peter and Yondu as they descended from the smoke cloud. They were... alive. They had managed to survive the explosion of the M-ship. A glance shared with Gamora proved she felt the same relief. Only a few seconds ago had the two of you thought you lost those who you loved most, and now they were floating back down towards the relative safety of the ground. You were so grateful you couldn't manage words. You had no idea what you would do if you lost either of them, they had been a part of your life for so long. They were your family. Sure, Yondu could be a dick at times, and yeah, Peter had left a couple months back and yeah it was kinda his fault you were all here in the first place, but you'd still be lost if they were gone.
You continued to look up at the pair and you couldn't help but crack a smile, which then turned into a poorly stifled snicker. You could blame it on the nerves, but it was mostly the silhouette Yondu was currently giving off.
"What?" Yondu called down to you, having heard and seen you were laughing up at them. Suspicion filled his eyes.
You bit your lip in a failed attempt to rein in your grin and answered honestly, "You look like Mary Poppins," despite knowing he wouldn't know who that was.
Still eyeing you, he asked, "Is he cool?"
Grinning wider you answer, "Yeah, he's cool." Sure, it was funny, and you knew Peter and you would have a laugh about it later, but you meant what you said. He was cool.
Clearly satisfied, Yondu cried out, "I'm Mary Poppin's y'all!" just before they touched down near Nebula on the ground.
Peter gave you a cheeky look that both stated that he approved, and doubled as an unsaid agreement that he wasn't going to say anything- for now at least. He then went on to make googly-eyes with Gamora while the rest of you took a moment to enjoy the brief victory.
A piece of debris then suddenly smacked the woman you'd come to learn was named Mantis in the head, knocking her unconscious. And... just like that, you were all back in it as Ego began to wake up.
"How long 'til the bomb goes off?" Peter asked Rocket urgently.
"In the unlikely event that Groot doesn't kill us all... about six minutes."
Just then you hear cracking from above and you look up to see the rock above... or.. Ego? technically?... beginning to crack and fall apart. You swallow, silently hoping that today wasn't the day you and all your friends, new and old, died.
Yondu makes a call to Kraglin and tells him to bring the Quadrant in for an extraction.
Hearing this, Peter sends you and Drax away with Mantis to meet him when he gets there. Or rather, he slaps an aero-rig on Drax and sends him flying up, and then instructs you to follow, which you obey.
Shortly after you and Drax reach the surface the blue tentacles burst up from the ground and grab the Quadrant before your eyes. Both yours and Drax's eyes widen in alarm as the tentacles begin to pull the giant ship towards you, and you don't even need to exchange words as you two share a quick glance.
You just run.
Your heart is beating out of your chest as the ship gains on you. You know you can't outrun it. Even if you could, there's only the sheer drop of a cliff in your path. But still, you have to keep running. At least with the aero-rigs you all might survive the cliff.
Drax falls to his knees, impressively never managing to drop Mantis as he shields her with himself.
You reach for him in an attempt to help him up, but then you turn and see it.
The ship. It's already upon you. There's no escape. There's no time.
As you see Drax shielding Mantis's unconscious form with his body you realize he hadn't fallen, but had simply already accepted your fates and was using his last act to protect this young woman. You couldn't help but silently commend him for this action, despite knowing it was futile.
Eyes closed, the two of you brace yourselves in preparation for your inevitable deaths.
Only, death doesn't come.
Instead the ship begins to rise again. The thrusters have kicked on. You nearly laugh in relief and make a mental note to hug Kraglin later, grateful that he was able to get to them in time.
Drax immediately turns and begins running with Mantis in the direction of the ship as it rights itself and within a few moments the three of you are safely aboard. You're surprised when Drax unceremoniously tosses Mantis into the ship, considering you had just seen him take such care with her before. He immediately takes to the steps leading up to the flight deck and you choose to stay below in the hold for a bit and check that Mantis was ok.
You are pulling Mantis's unconscious body further into the hold when Gamora and Nebula come aboard. You glance up and give the women a nod before stepping back to allow space for Gamora to kneel down next to her friend, feeling this was more her place than yours. Sure, you thought Peter's new group of friends seemed okay, but you hadn't really gotten to know them yet and now didn't seem like the time. As all of you wait anxiously for the others to also reach the ship, you had taken to keeping towards the back of the hold while Gamora and Nebula remained sitting on the floor near Mantis. It was just as well, you still weren't completely sure how you felt about Nebula. Yeah, she was helping you guys now, but you hadn't completely forgotten her role in the whole mutiny deal... but she had also technically saved Yondu and the raccoon... but she also didn't stop Tazerdick from killing all your friends... but in that same boat you supposed you weren't innocent either, you had just stood by like a coward with Kraglin and watched it happen...
You couldn't help from nervously pacing, and keeping to the back also ensured no one got in your path.
Where were the others? Shouldn't they be here by now? Will they make it in time?
Gamora noticed your behavior but decided to leave you be. Peter had told her how close the two of you had been growing up, and she knew you were likely just as anxious as she was for his return.
Kraglin eventually takes a peek into the hold from the top of the steps to check on everyone and sees you silently pacing back and forth. He decides to make you come up to the flight deck with him in hopes that helping set the navs will distract you from wearing a hole in the floor.
Not too long after you've gone upstairs you hear Gamora shouting something, but you can't quite make it out. You're momentarily concerned the blue light tentacles are back before you hear Rocket, more loudly and clearly, telling Kraglin to take off.
You look out the large window in front of you, and after you don't see any light tentacles coming to drag you down or the planet exploding under you, you softly sigh in relief. The others must all be back finally, and that must have been Gamora yelling at them to get their asses on the ship.
Your relief to finally be done with this place is cut short when Drax speaks.
"Wait- is Quill back?"
Your eyes widen as Kraglin only fires up the engine in response. The hell-?
Drax speaks into the intercom, "Rocket, where's Quill?"
No answer.
Your stomach begins to tie in knots. "Kraglin- Kraglin wait! If Peter isn't back- and where's Yondu?!"
Kraglin doesn't answer you either, just pulls back on the throttle without looking at either you or Drax. A mix of sadness and guilt is present in his eyes.
Drax repeats his prior question into the intercom, now shouting.
Rocket still won't answer. Drax continues shouting, "Where's Quill?!"
You're shouting now too, both at Kraglin as you feel the ship begin to lift off, and once into the intercom with Drax, demanding to know where Peter and Yondu are. You try to pull Kraglin away from the controls, but he only pushes you back, refusing to look you in the eye as you yell at him.
"Go to hell then! I'm going after them!" you shout, turning to head down below so you can get out before the door shuts.
It's now that Kraglin leaves the controls, and he wraps his arms around you from behind to restrain you.
You curse at him, kicking and fighting to no avail as Kraglin sadly says, "I'm sorry- I can't let ya- I'm real sorry-"
You manage to break away for just a second, only able to make it a few feet away before you feel the pain of electricity shooting through your body.
And then everything goes black.
***
By the time you wake, the ship has already left the atmosphere, and the only view outside the window is that of the vast, cold, universe. You sit up and look around groggily to then find Kraglin sitting nearby, and your vision goes red.
Kraglin notices that you've woken and only manages to get out, "I'm sorry th-" before you've knocked him out of his chair with the back of your fist.
"You bastard! I'll never forgive you!" you shout, punching at him as you shout other obscenities. Tears blur your vision, and that's what you blame for him being able to quickly restrain you from hitting him further, not the fact that he's always been stronger and the only reason you even got him down with the first hit was due to surprise. Nah, it was totally just the watery eyes...
He tries to say something, but you don't care, you don't listen. You just shout and struggle in his arms, kicking, biting, crying- mostly crying- as you threaten his life, his manhood, and anything else, for allowing Peter and Yondu to just die back there. For leaving them behind. For not waiting just a bit longer. For not letting you go find them. For shooting you with a damn stun gun.
This continues for a short while until you eventually tire yourself out, allowing your head to fall on his chest in exhaustion as you cry.
"Ya done now?"
This earns him a kick to the shin and you attempt to pry yourself away but he only hugs you tighter against him. This isn't exactly what you had in mind when you mentally promised him that hug earlier... but fuck him- he doesn't get that hug now, not after-
"Now listen!" Kraglin scolds in frustration as he tries to still you. "Quit- damn it! Just listen!"
"Why the fuck should I?!"
Without another word aside from an annoyed grunt he whips you around.
You stand there for a moment in shock. You barely register that Kraglin is no longer restraining you.
"...Peter?"
He smiles back at you and nods. You had been so busy fighting Kraglin you hadn't heard him come up. It was actually your shouting that alerted him that you were finally awake in the first place. He had been told by Kraglin that you might be a bit fiery when you finally regained consciousness, given the events leading up to him knocking you out, and that assumption had appeared to have been correct given the scene he came up to. However now all sign of that fire seemed to have left you as you now stared at him with wide eyes.
You go to hug him so fast you nearly send both of you tumbling to the floor. After squeezing the life out of him you pull back to smack him in the chest.
"Ow! I thought you were happy to see me?!"
"Don't ever scare me like that again! I thought you died! I thought-" You pause a moment. "Where's da-" You catch yourself and continue, "Where's that damned Yondu then? I'll kick his ass too."
Peter shares a brief look with Kraglin that you can't read before replying, "He's fine, but he's resting. There was only one spacesuit left... and the ship just barely got to us in time. It might be awhile before he wakes up."
You glance off to the side and mumble, "I guess I'll kick his ass later, then." You look back up to him. "Can I see him?"
"Of course." Peter answers before leading you and Kraglin down from the flight deck and into the room where they placed Yondu.
He was lying on a cot covered with a foil blanket to keep him warm despite him still wearing his duster. His eyes were closed and one could assume he was simply sleeping if not for the oxygen mask fitted to his face.
The slight alarm at seeing his still form could be seen on your face, prompting the others to assure you that he would be fine.
You stared at him for a long while before Peter instructed that you needed to eat something. You opened you mouth to protest but didn't get the chance before Peter placed a hand on your shoulder and turned you out of the room, leading you to where Kraglin was retrieving some MRE's for everyone. You didn't bother arguing. Staring at Yondu wasn't going to make him wake faster.
You ate quietly and mostly stared down in your lap or off into space while the others conversed. Kraglin pinched your side to get your attention and you jolted, giving him a mean glare as your cheeks began to grow warm.
"Don't look so down, we won didn't we?" He pinched your side again with a grin. "Cheer up! Turn that frown upside down."
You frown harder at him, but only briefly because right then Peter walks past and gives your knee a squeeze, causing a grin to finally crack your face as you kick out in surprise. "There it is!" he joked as he continued on his way over to Gamora with some hot drink. By this time Nebula had already left and Rocket and Drax were talking while Mantis and Groot ate and listened.
You roll your eyes and glare at Peter and then Kraglin. "Children. The both of you." You scold, but only half-heartedly. Truthfully, it was nice to have a little banter and shenanigans after everything.
Seeming satisfied that you appeared less sullen, Kraglin started up a conversation with you discussing potting a course to a nearby planet for supplies.
Yondu eventually opened his eyes, but didn't really start to fully wake until around the next day-cycle, and it was at least a week of using the oxygen mask, first full time, and gradually moving to off and on, before he before he was nearly back to 100%. The vacuum of space is quite unforgiving, after all. His personality was ever-present though, stubborn as ever. A few times he tried to walk about without the oxygen, but was always quickly scolded by either Kraglin, Peter, Rocket, or yourself to go put it back on before someone glued it to his face. He eventually stopped that nonsense, claiming in a rasp that he got "tired of hearin' ya'll bitchin'" but you had a feeling he realized soon enough that even without being scolded for leaving it behind, he wouldn't get very far without it.
After that first week, though, he was back to his cheeky self. His mood was also improved by the fact that Stakar had made a surprise visit to the ship while he was recovering. Rocket had called the other Ravagers and told them what Yondu did. How he had intended to sacrifice himself for Peter, and how the others fortunately had been able to get to them in time, though only barely, and were able to save them both. Stakar came the next day and witnessed the scene you saw of Yondu the previous night, only this time with Yondu awake. They spoke in private, but you later learned from Kraglin the gist was that Stakar welcomed Yondu back with open arms, and made talk about helping acquire him another crew when he was ready, if he wanted. Yondu had caught a glance of Peter walking past the door and told Stakar that he was grateful to be back, but that he'd have to take a minute and think about that offer. Maybe it was time he settled down a bit, maybe downsize, join a smaller crew. He wasn't getting any younger, after all. In other, unspoken, words, maybe stick around with Peter's team, if he'd have him.
And of course, Peter would.
With this added pep in his step, it wasn't long before he was strutting around saying that he "was as cool as Mary Poppins," usually in cheek as reason why he didn't need to do something Peter asked, or stating it after showing off.
For instance, one day, shortly after recovering, Peter instructed Yondu to move over and let him take to controls while the three of you were leaving on a supply run. Yondu just scoffed and replied that he 'didn't need none of Peter's coddling,' because he was "as cool as Mary Poppins," and he didn't need any of that.
Peter fought back a grin as he shot you a look that clearly said, "This is your fault, you know that, right?" before eventually convincing Yondu to step back and let him take the controls.
You could only muffle your giggles when Peter told him that, "Mary Poppins would know when to take a dang break."
Similar stuff like that went on for a bit until one day Yondu managed to perform (an admittedly impressive) twist and caught a lightbulb Kraglin dropped from a ladder before it broke. He looked at the rest of you with a grin and said, "Ya see that?" He handed the bulb back up to Kraglin. "Ya can do that when you're as cool as Mary Poppins."
This earned groans from Gamora, Drax, and Rocket, who had grown tired of hearing it, while Mantis and Groot just smiled in awe, innocently never bored of Yondu's antics. Even Kraglin hid how he rolled his eyes. You just grinned wide. You and Peter were the only two who got the joke, though you never let on.
Well, until this time, that is. This time Peter wasn't able to hold back his humor at the situation. A bark of laughter escaped his throat, making Yondu raise an eyebrow at him.
"What?"
Peter continued snickering and looked at you. "C'mon. I gotta tell him!"
Eyes wide you reply, "Don't you dare!"
Yondu looked at the pair of you with suspicious eyes. "Tell me what?" He takes a couple steps towards you.
"Nothing!" you quickly answer.
Reigning in his giggles, Peter explained that Mary Poppins wasn't quite a cool dude, but rather a... cool magical British nanny?
"Peter!" you exclaim, swatting at him. "Not cool!"
"I had to! Or else he was never gonna stop!" Peter laughed. Giggles and snickers were also beginning to break out from the some of the others as well.
Yondu's eyes narrowed and he took another step forward. In a cool tone he said, "Ya mean to tell me all this time ya've been lettin' me believe Mary Poppins was this badass guy, been lettin' me run with it, knowin' full well Mary Poppins was a damn nanny?!"
You giggled nervously and took a step back, only to bump into Rocket who quickly moved out of the way claiming he wasn't gonna save you. You didn't think you had a chance of saving yourself either, for that matter. Yondu, as well as Kraglin on the ladder, were blocking the only exit. Maybe you could run underneath the ladder? Could you make it past Yondu to do that? Well, at least he wasn't calling for his arrow... there was that. With Rocket out of the way you take yet another step back, Yondu matching you with one more forward. You nervously tried to smooth it over. "Well, she was a magical nanny, so that's still cool, right?"
Drax let out a loud laugh then. "Haha! You've been calling yourself an old nanny for weeks!"
Gamora rolled her eyes at his remark but couldn't help grinning, and more laughter sounded from the others at this revelation.
You didn't bother to correct Drax on the age of said nanny. You knew it wouldn't help.
Yondu sucked on his teeth, eyes never leaving you.
Kraglin snickered from on top the ladder as he began to climb down. "You're really gonna get it now."
With a nervous chuckle, you bolted, only just managing to dodge when Yondu grabbed for you. You would have slid under the ladder like you planned, but Kraglin had already reached the bottom and stepped in the way. "Oh sorry, did you need through? I just gonna fold up this ladder here quick..."
"I hate you."
"I know."
Yondu, seemingly not in any particular hurry, likely because he knew you had nowhere to run, was closing in on you via a casual walking pace. You turned to face him while walking nearly backwards to the left edge of the room. "Can't we talk about this?" you ask, giggling nervously.
Yondu just shakes his head, following at the same steady pace. A hint of a grin can be seen playing through his grumpy features.
You trip up on a stool, but never take your eyes off him. "Look- it's not a bad thing- Mary Poppins actually is cool-"
Yondu chuckles darkly. "Groveling is only gonna make it worse fer yerself."
You swallow, a nervous grin splitting your face. "Yondu, please-"
"So will begging," he says, cutting you off while taking a few longer strides that nearly close the distance between the two of you.
By now Peter had decided to take a seat and see how this played out, and most of the others follow suit.
"Peter?" you call out.
"Yeah?" he laughs in response, figuring you were about to weigh your chances asking for his help.
"If I survive, remind me to kill you."
He chuckled and leaned back in his chair. "Sure thing."
Your eyes flit to the door once more. Kraglin is taking his sweet time folding up the ladder, chuckling softly to himself. The bastard.
Yondu makes a lunge for you and you jerk back with a squeak, this time losing your balance on yet another stool. He darts a hand out to catch you by the arm and jerks you in close.
"Got ya!" He smiles evilly.
Your eyes widen in fear before you too are not only smiling, but giggling hysterically as he digs the fingers of his other hand into your ribs.
You jerk in his hold, grabbing at his hand as you attempt to back away, only for him to follow you, still with a grip on your arm, for the two or three steps until your back is against the wall. "Yondu! No! This isn't fair!"
"Oh it ain't? Well was it fair when ya had me callin' myself Mary Poppins all that time?" You don't answer, both too busy laughing and full well knowing what you did. After a second of you not answering he adds with a grin, "Didn't think so." He releases your arm in favor of attacking with both hands, chuckling as you let out a squeal of laughter and draw one knee up in an attempt to curl in on yourself, only to stomp it back down in a ticklish reflex.
You sink to the ground in a further attempt to get away, but he only follows you down.
Rocket chuckles from the sidelines and says to Peter, "Ya know, I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't this." He shrugs and turns back to the show. "I guess it's not not entertaining." He sits back and opens a small bag of colored candies, which he then shares with Groot.
Groot giggles and points at the scene.
"Ok! I'm sorry!" you squeal out.
Yondu just laughs and shakes his head. "Nah, but you're gonna be."
He then shoves his hands into your armpits, and you throw your head back in loud, bright laughter as you kick your feet out, heels squeaking against the floor.
Mantis giggles. "This is so funny!"
Drax chuckles lightly and shakes his head, saying to Gamora, "Ravagers sure have strange punishment practices. I for sure thought he'd just fire them or something."
Peter smiles fondly looking at you and Yondu before glancing at Drax with a smile. "Nah, that ain't a Ravager thing. It's a family thing."
He had caught what you almost said after you first woke up those weeks ago, when you had clearly thought he and Yondu had been left for dead only to be surprised with his presence. You had nearly asked him, "Where's dad?"
Peter knew if confronted you would certainly deny it, but he knew he hadn't misheard you. The look he shared with Kraglin that night confirmed it. He had heard it too. The moments just before Peter was sure Yondu was a dead man made him finally realize what he had missed all those years. Yondu was like a father to him, to the both of you. You were a family, and it was clear you knew it too.
Unprompted, Mantis reaches over to briefly scritch at Peter's side, causing him to jump out of his thoughts.
"Hey!" he scolds playfully. "Cut that out!"
Kraglin had made his way over to the rest of the group by now, and having seen the exchange, pokes Peter in the ribs with a grin. "Ya know, ya knew that whole time who that Mary Poppins was and ya didn't say anythin'..." he looks past Peter to Mantis, "I say he deserves it." He then pinches Peter's side and laughs when he recoils, only for Mantis to make Peter recoil again with a poke to the other side, this time making him let out a short giggle.
"Now that's funny!" Rocket said, receiving a dirty look from Peter.
Even Gamora couldn't resist tweaking Peter's ribs, earning a look of betrayal in return after he managed to grab her wrist. She wasn't sorry.
Peter continued to recieve random pokes and tickles from his friends, swatting and making empty threats in return, but it was clear you were getting the much shorter end of the stick.
To his credit, Yondu had offered you a way out of your torment.
He had gathered your hands in one of his and was kneading at the muscle above your knee with the other, which you couldn't seem to get away from no matter how much you kicked. "Are ya sorry?" he had asked, despite you already having said you were. After you emphatically responded with a 'yes,' he had then said, "And are ya gonna do it again?" You had squealed out a no in response. He had then replied, "And why shouldn't ya have done it in the first place?" Clearly, he had been expecting an answer about how you should have known better, or something about not pulling tricks on your captain.
However, to your detriment, you just couldn't help yourself. Through giggles you managed to get out a, "Be- Because you're c-cool like Mary Poppins?"
Yondu's eyes momentarily widened in disbelief before narrowing. With a playful growl he said, "Why you little-" and dug all ten fingers into your stomach, sending your head back as a ticklish scream-laugh ripped from your throat.
Yondu now kept darting from spot to spot, never staying in one area for more than a moment to drive you insane- and boy was it was working.
It took you several moments to be able to manage speech. "I'm sorry! AhahHA! I'm SORRY! For real this time! AH! I mean it!" You were kicking and squirming so bad Yondu and the others couldn't help but laugh. He'd go for your belly and you'd curl in on yourself, armpits or ribs usually caused your back to arch or made you twist, and going for your knees made you kick- well, kick harder, anyway.
Yondu playfully rolled his eyes at your declaration of apology. "Yeah, I bet yer real sorry now."
"I am! I take it back! I take it back!!" You grasp at his arms the best you could when he decided to stick with just tickling under your arms again, which he got access to after a quick flutter at your throat sent your hands flying up for protection and left your armpits open and vulnerable. "I give! I give!! I won't do it again!" you cry out in a squeaky plea. In desperation you finally cry out, "MERCY!"
He finally decides you've had enough, and with a final couple squeezes to your knee he lets you go, standing to look fondly down at you with your arms wrapped around your middle and knees partially pulled up in protection as residual giggles leave you.
"Ya learn yer lesson, brat?"
You nod as you go to stand, still a little giggly from your torment. "That was so mean!" you pouted, stumbling as you go to make quick work to close the distance between you and the exit.
Yondu gives you a look and says, "Ya know full well I could've been meaner."
You sighed and rolled you eyes. Luckily for you Yondu couldn't see. "Still mean," you call back to him.
Yondu only chuckled in response.
Feeling bold in the 'safety' of the doorway you stop and look back at Yondu. "Ya know, I was wrong to call you Mary Poppins."
Yondu grinned and crossed his arms. "Glad to see the lesson worked, maybe I need to try that method more often," he teased.
The others actually looked surprised that you had changed your tune, however Peter and Kraglin exchanged a look, knowing better.
You ignored Yondu's comment and responded, "Yeah... you're more of a... Mrs. Doubtfire." You gave him one last wide, cheeky grin before immediately running for your life.
Yondu just stood still for a moment, tongue in his cheek before turning to Peter. "I'm gonna be insulted by that one too, ain't I?"
Peter shrugged and honestly answered, "I actually don't know who that one is, but probably."
Yondu nodded thoughtfully... and then whistled.
"Whoa! Yondu, no!" Gamora scolded, taking a step forward. The others also seemed to be in various degrees of alarm, aside from Kraglin and Peter, who again, knew better.
He waved her off before she could finish with some nonsense about how 'this isn't how we solve problems' or whatever. "Calm down, girlie," he said, walking towards the doorway after his arrow. "I ain't gonna hurt the lil' shit."
Your startled scream was then heard echoing from the corridor, and he grinned, continuing, "I'm just gonna scare the piss outta the brat -which by that sound I'd say I've done already- and have me a little fun."
He didn't look back as he exited the room, cracking his knuckles. "Clearly it's time for another lesson in manners."

Looking at all the Voicebanks on the Arpasing website
This is a project that took a good amount of time to write and publish, so I’m glad I’m finally here! For context, there is an unofficial Arpasing website with reclists, plugins, and USTs to use. There’s also a list of avilable Arpasing voicebanks to try out, and here’s where I had the idea to download and talk about-all of them. These will generally be pretty short, but I hope they’re at least somewhat informative. Many of these voicebanks are in beta/unfinished to a degree, so keep that in mind. Since a lot of these are old beta voices, if you don’t want your VB on here, just send me a message and I’ll delete it.
All of these voices can be downloaded at the Voicebank Directory on the Arpasing site.
A few of the links on the site didn’t work, so sorry Cherry, Daichi Hayashi, and Armani. I’m also not including the Arpasing prototype VB since it’s just recordings and has no oto. For people who don’t know much about arpasing: 0.1.0 is the original version of Arpasing with 219 samples, and 0.2.0 is an updated later version made by Kanru Hua that has 334 samples. I also bring up the alveolar tap a little bit. The alveolar tap is a consonant common in american English (it’s the “tt” sound in butter, better, and letter). Since Arpasing was optimized for American English, it’s surprising that most of the reclists for it don’t include the alveolar tap! So I might point that out when I see it added into a vb.
Aero-gen Shinsu by Wolfe Nebula
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 3 ※Has FRQs?: Some Aero is a mild adolescent sounding voice with lots of noise. He generally sounds pretty sweet and light, I love his voice a lot! There is a decent anount of background noise, which some may be picky about. Still, it doesn’t affect the quality much and he works with most resamplers. Putting high BRE on him makes him sound pretty good. I generally had no issues with his oto, but the CC transitions aren’t otoed very well and some are off time.
Aino Erufu by Jasputing
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes, also has full llsm and pmk files Aino has a very unique voice acted timbre, and it’s almost difficult to find a song to match her. But when you do, she’s a sweetie. ^^ She has a sweet, louder voice and sounds best above A3, or even higher in the soprano range. She is touchy with resamplers but works well with fresamp and world4utau.
Aki Toka/幸兔雪 by Yukito Yuki
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Aki is clear and strong and has a good tone. good tone, clear. has full frqs. got one of my favorite accents. Despite being monopitch, he has a very wide range and can go a little below his stated range of F3-C5. The mid/low range sounds best though imo. He comes with a guide for aliasing for those new to Arpasing, and a list of all the sounds which were affected by the VP’s accent. The Finnish accent does come through in the vowels and ending consonants, but the duplicates allow for more varied pronunciation so it’s not a big deal. Akihana ENG [radiance] D3_beta by Lunamageice ※Reclist: 0.1.0, uses phonetic filenames ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Akihana has a low, rich, full voice that’s good in bass and baritone range. I’ve used his VCCV before, but the Arpasing actually has more natural pronunciation. It has been in beta all this time, but it’s still worth it to use because of the rarity of this voicetype in UTAU. Angus by ReticentResolve
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes I was blown away by how good Angus was! He’s a deep, soft masculine voice ranged F2-G4 with a nasal quality. He comes with a tripitch VCV JP bank for those who’d want that too. The mic he was recorded on picked up a lot of background noise and makes him sound muffled, but he’s still a decent vb.
AWG YukiList verKLAD by Adlez27 ※Reclist: YukiList with modifications ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No This is an example voicebank for the Yukilist arpasing recording style created by YukitoYuki. It has 800+ samples and a lot more coverage than basic Arpasing. It’s a tenor vb with a mild tone. The alveolar tap (dx) samples are in a separate folder for some reason and aren’t fully otoed, but they work fine. Some of the VC transitions aren’t configured correctly, but generally the oto is good.
Canary by SlightlyShredded
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 (D3) ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm Canary has a really pleasant voice! He’s a sweet, fruity baritone with power in his voice. He’s very suitable for pop/edm. His oto kept spitting out errors while I used him but he sounds mostly fine despite that.
Eon_Arpasing by fmccaddy12 ※Reclist: Custom (made by fmccaddy12) ※Number of pitches: 2 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm Eon is a very realistic baritone voice. He sounds a little congested but is overall one of the best voicebanks on this list. He can be pushed a bit out of his range As far as I’m aware, his official site/character revamp is not done yet but his dl is still up on this website. Not even sure if I should share the link but it is still up publicly...
Hailey Denali by CatMoun
※Reclist: Custom ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm Hailey has one of the cutest tones one of all these voicebanks. She’s very nasal and sounds almost voice acted. Her reclist is 500+ samples long and doesn’t lack anything. However, all the vowels and most of the consonants are 2-3 syllables. Hailey also comes with an automatic updater.
鳳鐘ユウリ(Houshou Yuuri) by さきた (Sakita)
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Some Yuuri has a range of about A3-D5. She has a heavy Japanese accent but a decent range. She’s very emotional and pretty sounding, especially in the higher ranges. Though, if you want to use her, know that her oto requires a lot of fixing, as a lot of VC transitions are configured incorrectly.
Johatsun Kikuro Arpasing by Awes0meBr0/Biohazard-P
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm/bak/pmk He has very quiet samples which causes lots of distortion in the program. Nevertheless, he still manages to sound realistic somehow-? He reminds me of older vocal synths like Microsoft Sam almost. I did mess around a bit with resamplers/flags for Kikuro and the best combination I’ve found so far was f2resamp and F0g1H20h0C10. Using Kikuro requires some effort but he’s sill pretty good.
Kara Kokone by SunGuardian524
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 5 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Some Kara is most impressive for being one of the UTAU with the highest number of pitches on this list- each of them has a different tone, with one being a falsetto and another being a shout pitch. Her range is pretty wide, reaching almost into alto and being able to hit the high soprano notes too. However, this bank really does feel like a beta that hasn’t been touched in a while. It doesn’t have a fully configured prefix.map and the oto is pretty off and requires a lot of adjusting. I also wish she used a more comprehensive form of the reclist, since there is a lot missing. At least there’s a lot of duplicate entries.
Kayaka Konagi Arpasing(English) by こむぎこ (Komugiko) ※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Konagi is very good, her pronunciation is clear and she has a nice tone. She is a bit finicky with resamplers and flags, probably meant to be used with default settings. She does have a Japanese accent but it’s a little less pronounced than Yuuri’s.
Kevin Futarine STUDIO (VP2 Arpasing) by FRAloids
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No Kevin is another baritone voice with a youthful flavor. It has a good amount of flexibility, being sort of emotional and soft sounding but also capable of producing a bright, clear sound. He was recorded at E3 but has a flexible range and even sounds good higher. His pronunciation is pretty on point, but the t/d are a little mixed up. His dh sounds are also so short they’re hard to hear at times. The oto is generally good but might need some adjusting out of the box. He has a ton of extra samples of sighs, laughs, whispers, etc. I’ve been a Kevin fan for years and this voicebank definitely keeps the tone his Japanese vbs have.
Kii Nane by kii ※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Some Kii Nane is a sugary sweet voice that sounds best at C4 and above. Her samples have a lot of reverb, and there is some background noise which affects the output. Her pronunciation is very good, but a little slurred and off because of the engine noise. Resamplers are hit or miss, she does sound good with world4utau though.
Koyanagi Sayuki DEITY by Mango-tama
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 4 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No, but has full llsm Sayuki is a very realistic voice ranged F#3-G5. Her low range is soft and her mid/high range is loud and clear. Lovely to tune and use in anything, I don’t have much negative to say about her.
Koyanagi Takehiko_TSUNAMI (BETA) by Mango-tama
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 (G3) ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No, but has full llsm Takehiko is very cool sounding and bassy, and the voice acting makes him distinct from his sister. His best range is from D3 to G4 and he has sorta a soft tone that can be boosted via resamplers. He sounds great with f2resamp.
KYE by WinterdrivE
※Reclist: 0.1.0 + a few Alveolar tap samples ※Number of pitches: 5 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No, but has full llsm Kye needs no introduction-he’s the guy who got most of us interested in Arpasing in the first place! His abundance of pitches works in his favor. He’s probably the best of these voicebanks to just plug and play to learn how to use Arpasing-if you don’t mind waiting for all those 1000+ frqs to generate. He is by far the best in baritone/bass range. A lot of the D4 pitch actually has pitch/frequency issues that can’t be fixed without workarounds, so using him from B2-C4 is your best bet-or just using a different pitch for the higher ranges. He does have a sort-of lisp but overall, not many oto or pronunciation issues.
Marie Kagekine Arpasing (v1.0) by AdagioFantasque
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + some llsm, pmk, and uspec Marie is an operatic voicebank who tries to recapture the charm of Prima in an UTAU format. She has a wide range of B3-F5 and a mature, yet high and bright, sound. She has some of the best understandability out of any of these voicebanks. I really like her <3
Mikone Samu by codyboyo
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Samu/Sam is a port of Microsoft Sam done in a similar way to how Defoko was made. He’s a crisp sounding masculine low voice. Due to the samples being short, he can sound very stilted. But for a jinriki (?) like this, he is very high quality.
Resonance Harmony (Arpasing English) by Hazu/パワ
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 6 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes I have a lot to say about Harmony, and no good way of wording it. Okay. Resonance is very nasally and high, she has 3 base pitches plus growl, power, and whisper appends, and some vocal fry. Conceptually, she seems like a pretty good bank but I’ve always had trouble using her...it feels like a hit or miss on whether she’ll sound good or not. She sounds decent with f2resamp and w4utau but not many flags make her sound better. If anyone else wants to download her and play around, I’d love to hear it.
Rose Mae Arpasing BETA by Monochrome Rose ※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm Rose has a bright, tomboyish, androgynous voice. The readme file notifies us of the non-native accent in the vb. It does have a drawl and some of the consonants aren’t recorded/otoed right, but overall the vb sounds very smooth. Honestly, I care more about recording conditions/oto/general feel than accent most of the time, and Rose does well in those ways.
Ryuunosuke Aoyama by Mattsuran
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 (B3) ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes + llsm Ryuunosuke is a childish, boyish voice with a strong Chilean accent. I think this vb may have actually been recorded by a kid, so that’s a point for uniqueness at least. He sounds best with fresamp and f2resamp. He has a gentle tone that can work in a lot of different ranges.
Tarek by Tadashi
※Reclist: 0.1.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 (B2) ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No, has llsm Tarek has a clear, loud tone with a noticeable lisp. UTAU recommends using him as a baritone, but I found putting him into higher ranges generally worked too. His samples sound less like singing and more like talking. He was recorded on a midquality mic which causes some distortion in the output. Still, I think his voice is really cute and I’m a sucker for baritones.
Thoma by Nythoma
※Reclist: 0.2.0 + vocal fry/alveolar tap ※Number of pitches: 1 (F#3) ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Thoma is an androgynous alto/mezo soprano. They have a soft, plasticy sort of feeling to their voice. They sound best from C3-F5. I feel a little..weird linking to/talking about Thoma since they were redesigned and are supposed to be a private voicebank, but the download is still linked on this site. Also please check out Nythoma when you get a chance, they make the best Arpasing USTs which helped me a lot while making this post. I feel like I haven’t checked in on anyone here in a while. How are you doing? I’ve written most of this post within the span of a few days and I think my brain is not capable of producing any thoughts other than “monopitch.”
Tsubasa Arugo Arpasing (BETA) by WinterStar
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 1 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: Yes Tsubasa has a soft, androgynous voice that sounds best from E3-A4. The samples are full of static, which causes some distortion. The ending vowel sounds also cut off too much at the beginning, making them too breathy. Still, it’s always nice to see another soft vb.
Xiao Meihua by 実偽Migi
※Reclist: 0.2.0 ※Number of pitches: 2 ※Has fully generated FRQs?: No Meihua has a realistic mature voice that’s also sweet and friendly sounding. She has a sort of low voice, and sounds the best from G3-C5. The download comes with a natural vb and a Sweet append, both monopitch. I listed them as being different pitches because they aren’t recorded at the same note. The Sweet voicebank is nasal and stronger too-it sounds more solid than sweet. She’s one of the vbs on this list that sounds the best with little to no edits. Her oto is smooth as butter :0
And that’s all of them done! Thank you SO much for reading if you got this far, seriously. You are what makes writing this blog worth it <3
Also I wanted to list my favorites of the bunch! This isn’t meant to pit any vb against each other or anything, just the ones I’m likely to go back to. -Canary -Eon -Xiao Meihua -Marie Kagekine -Kii Nane -Aki Toka -Thoma -Kevin Futarine Studio
Who are your favorites?

Hey, just wanted to say I love your TF2 OCs! I was wondering is there any particular way you go about making your OCs? Any points of inspiration?
Awww thank u so much!! <333
Well, when it comes to creating OCs, it's mostly influenced just by games and shows. Like, i see something in a show/game i like, and then i'm: "Hey, how about i make an OC inspired by this concept.".
But about inspirations for my ocs, here's the list under the cut!!
Electrician's main inspirations were pretty much Kaminari Denki from BNHA (Please don't kill me that i've used to be into this anime) and Marceline from Adventure Time. At first she was just my self insert but right now she is not and i want to make her as distant from me as i can. And because i'm a sucker for punk rock/70s rock I made her a punk herself, but that was also inspired by Marceline from AT. An archetype called "punk in pink" also influenced her a lot.
Assailant is pretty much a caricature of a stereotypical irish person (pale skin, red-hair, freckles), since tf2's mercs themself are just caricatures, but as other mercs he has depth to his character. He was also influenced by the jock/jerk with a heart of gold archetype.
Astronaut's pretty interesting though. As i'm a space lover, it was obvious earlier or later I would make a space-merc. Astro's slowing down job and the fact she has freezing weapons was inspired by the total freezing cold in space (or like the boomerang nebula is the coldest object in space), Astro's ancestry is also pretty interesting. At first she was a russian-american, then she changed to a russian-polish-american, next she was a half-polish half-american, but now she is a polish immigrant living in US since she was 8. Her being polish was inspired by the popular countryballs joke "Poland can't into space" so Astro proved that Poland can into space.
Painter was inspired by a few real life painters, most notably Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, some of my personal favourites. Her acidic and toxic job was taken from my very old Plants vs. Zombies OC who also had acid powers.
Glider's main inspiration was from real life as well! In my little town, you can often see a few persons flying on paragliders, which would always amaze me as a child, so that's why she's an aero merc. About the bomb dropping aspect, offensives and defensives always had explosions, while supports didn't have any. So cuz of that i wanted glider to be an explosive support. Her being italian is also inspired by my mother's love for Italy.'
Physician's main inspirations were White Diamond from SU and Other Mother from Coraline, when it comes to her pefect mommy image that is just a trap. Of course Medic was an inspiration as well >:)
#thank u sm for the question!! it took a while to write it all but it was fun!!#ask electrician and the gang
