„Rolling Heights“ ist ein Kickstarter von Februar 2022 von @aegminions . Unter einem Jahr Wartezeit ist für ein Kickstarter-Projekt wirklich flott. Das hat mich gefreut. In „Rolling Heights“ müsst ihr Gebäude mit verschiedenen Ressourcen bauen, um Siegpunkte zu generieren. Die Ressourcen bekommt ihr durch eine Würfelmechanik, die nicht mit Würfeln, sondern mit Meepeln funktioniert. Die Meeple werden in eine Box gewürfelt. Jeder Meeple, der auf den Füßen steht, gibt zwei Ressourcen seiner Farbe, jeder, der einen Handstand macht oder seitlich liegt, bringt eine Ressource, und die, die flach liegen bleiben, machen Pause. Sehr witziges Element. Ihr könnt ein harter Boss sein und die faulen Meeple noch mal würfeln, allerdings lauft ihr dann Gefahr, einen Streik damit zu provozieren, der euch dann auch 50 % eurer arbeitenden Meeple abzieht. Autsch. Aber schönes Push-your-luck-Element. Die Meeple geben nicht nur Ressourcen, sondern auch andere Einflussmöglichkeiten. Da ihr mit max. 10 Meepeln würfeln dürft, müsst ihr euch irgendwann überlegen, welche gerade wichtig sind, da ihr ziemlich schnell mehr als 10 zur Auswahl hat. Um Gebäude zu bauen, müsst ihr erst Gebäudeplättchen nach bestimmten Legeregeln legen. Zusätzlich haben die Gebäude strategischen Nutzen, da ihr beispielsweise angrenzende Gebäude von euren Gegenspielern nutzen könnt, um mit eurem Gebäude einen Bonus zu erhalten. Oder umgekehrt: um einen Bonus bei den Gegnern zu verhindern. Ich habe es bisher nur solo gegen die KI gespielt. Diese ist gut durchdacht und auch ziemlich fix beim Bauen. Das Bauen ist mit den Würfelchen etwas fummelig, da diese sehr klein sind, aber so übt ihr euch gleich in Geschicklichkeit. Ich mag „Rolling Heights“ bisher. Es spielt sich flott, die Regeln sind auch auf Englisch sehr einfach zu verstehen. Das Meeple-Würfeln macht wirklich Spaß und die taktischen Möglichkeiten, Gebäude einzusetzen, sind vielfältig. Pour cela vous disposerez d’un deck de cartes (identique pour chaque joueur.se) de départ qu’il vous faudra améliorer. Mais attention, à la différence d’un deckbuilding, vous n’aurez pas plus de cartes dans votre deck ! Non, ici il s’agit d’améliorer ses cartes au moyen de transparents que l’on glisse dans les pochettes de chaque carte pour leur conférer de nouvelles capacités ! Vous l’aurez compris, même si Mystic Vale emprunte une partie de sa mécanique au deckbuilding (défausse qui redevient la pioche, amélioration de deck) il s’en distingue nettement par sa mécanique de Cad Crafting. Autre différence avec le deckbuilding, vous ne serez pas limité à piocher un certain nombre de cartes, non, à chaque tour vous pourrez décider de pousser votre chance et continuer à piocher, mais au risque de ne pas jouer du tout ! Ajouter à cela des cartes au format tarot qui vous permettront de profiter des magnifiques illustrations, bref le cocktail idéal pour s’immerger dans son monde druidique ! Les plus : * Une mécanique fluide * Des parties dynamiques * Un bel équilibre entre hasard et planification Les moins : * La prise en main est un peu complexe * On est très vite surpris par la fin de partie Mon avis : Amateur de deckbuilding, j’ai été très surpris par cette nouvelle mécanique ! J’ai apprécié l’amélioration des cartes, l’expérience de jeu est bonne et donne vraiment l’impression de gagner en puissance ! My Top 30 Games My number 21 is Cascadia by @aegminions and @flatoutgames Cascadia is a tile placement drafting and tile placement game with a relaxing and beautiful nature theme. In Cascadia you start with a beginner habitat and take turns drafting a additional habitat tiles and little circle animal tokens. You must draft the tile and token that are paid together but you may place the tile where you want in your habitat and then place the token on a habitat with the matching animal. The goal is to make long connected areas of the same habitats while also trying to align the animals in groups or keep them separated according to the 5 Goal cards. If the tile has an animal with a pinecone icon next to it, this means if you are able to place that animal there you will also gain a pinecone token. These are extra points at the end but can also be used to break the rule when drafting and allow you to take a tile and animal token of your choosing even if they are not paired together in the market area. Or you can use the pinecone to clear the market and redraft new options. This game is really easy to setup and Play and has a very puzzle like feeling to it as you are trying to place your pieces to match the goals. There are a handful of different goals for each animal type so each game can play very differently and has a ton of replay ability. Have you played Cascadia? What's your favorite nature themed game? Board game Monday. @asteriaofthestars and myself played Sorcerer City designed by Scott Caputo and published by @druidcitygames. I've said it many times I love this game so much. It's my favorite game and I am not saying just tile layer...it's my favorite board game. I won a good game today 144-104 so o was the head sorcerer this time. We alos got in today @aegminions santa monica, designed by Josh Wood. This game gives me vibes of a tile layer but in a much more relaxed setting. Abigail and I love the art work and design. #firstimpressionsfriday🎲 I recently picked up Cascadia by @aegminions and @flatoutgames We really enjoyed the puzzle presented in this game. In Cascadia you are drafting a pair of a tile and an animal token. Then you place the habitat tile and the animal in your personal habitat. The goal is to link like habitats, as at the end of the game you get 1vp for each land in your largest chain for each habitat type, plus additional bonus points if you are the player with the largest habitat among the other players. The other way to score points is to arrange your animals in particular patterns based on the goal cards for each animal ( elk, fox, salmon, hawk, bear) This was a very simple game with simple rules yet is very brain burning. The player interaction is very low as you can't really do anything to the other players boards, however you can and will undoubtedly draft a tile and animal another player most likely wants/needs. Overall I'm really enjoying Cascadia and can't can't wait to play more. This is definitely one that will stick around and probably make its way into our normal rotation of games to get to the table.
