Glamping

Drew, Katie, and Billie go on a quest in the forests of Minnesota, and Drew sets up a special tent with beds, a lamp, and a mini-closet with drawers for hair supplies, shoes, and makup, and a full-length mirror on the inside of the door.

She was prepared for Katie and Billie to scoff like others have, but instead, they were impressed by her ingenuity. She won't admit it but it but that meant a lot.

I was playing around in photo mode with @beastren's Lir and @edgier-than-a-diamond's Allen today. (Haven't dismissed them yet, though!) Most of these were taken by going into photo mode immediately upon exiting convo, or by shoving my Arisen up against a solid wall of some kind (the tent in camp counts).

René was actually visible in this one too, but I had to crop him out because he was too far off to the side and it looked wonky. This is by far and away the best shot I got of Allen, though. (He's just so tall!)

I hired Lir again because I needed a front-liner, and he did great last time. He used his maister skill on a lone spider today, so that was absolutely amazing to see. (Does he perhaps not like spiders?)

René is wearing whatever Thief stuff I found in my storage, so he looks a bit silly. He seems to enjoy the Implicate + Plunder life, though.

My Arisen slipping off of a rock entirely after fist-bumping René. I love how Allen is just strolling by and marvelling at the sheer incompetence lmao.

Got a pretty good shot of Allen by the campfire. He absolutely wrecks face, by the way. His spells are so massive there's never anything left standing after he casts them! Lir and René (and me) barely have to do anything at all, haha.

Aaand a daytime camp shot because I like how candid this one looks. Lir and Allen are just staring into the campfire thinking about stuff, but René noticed the camera and gave it a smile. Fun.

Limbo (aka NG+) Syl needs a different backstory, mixed with the other Arisen.

Sparrow-Syl grew up trained by their neighbor, a witch sorcerer as much as he did from his father, so he still grew up in the forest, but might have spent more time with his mentor. He would go to join the Mage guild (wherever that is), unfortunately he fails the admission test. He went back to find his father has passed, which led to his feelings about magic becoming a bit complicated. This Syl is an overachiever filled with guilt, who uses magic a lot more often than OG Syl.

Aser-Syl’s father died with his mother, his father’s best friend took him in as his own son. The knight’s noble family wholeheartedly believed he had a bastard, and Syl was treated as such. This father figure would be alive and well, working hard on keeping his family away from the Arisen because now they’d LOVE to accept him into the family. This Syl loves running away from his problems (those which shouldn’t even Be his problems), and hates the court. He’s the most reluctant in accepting the Sovran future.

This led me to thinking: well if he lived a different life his face might not have been scratched by a wolf. so, Sparrow-Syl gets the mark of his failure as scratches on his face. Aser-Syl got pulled into a nasty house war scarring him and costing him an eye (much like Aser, but he had a glass eye. Syllie is getting the eyepatch.)

So the way fish with weather requirements work in FFXIV, the everlasting light in Shadowbringers does actually prevent you from catching those fish, it isn't just a "mask" over the actual weather condition like a FATE weather

Which... is really, really funny to me, because this would technically mean that after the night returns, suddenly all these fishers are catching species nobody's ever heard of before
