Everyone in class still has a crush on Marcel, it's just a little gay because you can't convince me he wouldn't take after tall and be towering over people and competing with Kim and Ivan foe tallest in class.

Adrienne would join school and Marcel would think Chloe found herself a carbin copy until the umbrella scene.

Marcel would still be clumsy as hell and Adrienne would still be a little oblivious (understatement )

It would be so adorable. There would be a few minor changes in canon but overall nothing much.

Okay, so we have to go into the TWEOS lore with this one, irrefutable fact:

Adrien and Marinette were supposed to be made for each other.

This is because, like in canon, the miraculouses work better with strong bonds and like. In canon Adrinette is brought up multiple times to be the best relation to ever ship. In TWEOS, this is basically the kwamis playing matchmaker with their paper dolls. Because, in essence, that is what all holders are to them.

This is why both Marinette and Adrien display obsessive tendencies, albeit towards different people—The idea was that they'd latch onto one person (each other), and then it would stick.

Instance 1: Marinette latched onto Adrien long before she ever got her Miraculous.

The issue: She latched onto the idea of him marketed by Gabriel. No umbrella scene whatsoever. Adrien is her celebrity crush that she loves as if she's been in a years-long committed relationship.

Instance #2: Adrien latched onto... Claudia.

The issue: Not Marinette. Very much not Marinette. Despite everything any of the kwamis (or anyone else in Adrien's life) could ever do to pry him away from Claudia, Adrien will refuse to budge. He was practically designed to be a codependent partner, and it will show.

Next point—Because Adrinette is endgame, neither Marinette nor Adrien can have a fulfilling relationship before that. So Luka, Marinette's "fake" boyfriend, is an asshole who wants to have his cake of the Viperbug celebrity pairing and also be a womanizing local rockstar. Likewise, Kagami, Adrien's betrothed, never clicks with him, and her limited perspective means she's unwilling to fully relate to him without reflecting on the ways her mother has lied to her.

(There's also parallels between Kagami and Marinette in terms of their view of Adrien, even though the reverse between Luka and Adrien isn't as strong since Adrien has never really considered Marinette as a romantic interest. —unless, of course, that's the parallel in which case we found it!)

...............eh. I can't even safely say they don't make each other worse, just that they're not getting worse alone. Also, by the point that Claudia and Adrien accept that they're a thing (and Claudia starts to close off because she suddenly realizes her flirtations have consequences), the scaffolding is already crumbling and also on fire. It would take a miracle for Adrinette to be healthy at that point, and yet Plagg and Tikki are still trying to get the Adrinette train back on track.

But they will fail.

This is not directly related to the finale, but to the idea of a few other characters. Specifically, self inserts. The first being the actual Thomas Astruc self insert, and how I actually think Andre Glacier might be Thomas’s first ever actual, if not, obscure self insert. Aside from a few physical similarities, both heavily want people, in universe and the audience, to ship Adrientte and Ladynoir, while actively hating on ships such as Marichat. What do you think about this? I personally feel it is redundant and weird. I’ve seen really good self inserts like the Kratt Brothers in Wild Kratts (My Favorite Show) and they handle that concept a lot better.

If Andre is meant to be another one of Astruc's self-inserts, it'd be weird for him to denounce ships on his show like that.

For me, this is Adribrina. That's Adrien Agreste and Sabrina Raincomprix.

It started out innocently enough! I wrote a fun one shot where Cat Noir, Miss Hound, and Purple Tigress play a Miraculous game of tag for training. Then I wrote a one shot for Adrien and Sabrina, a fluffy friendship sort of thing. Then I built off that for a chapter fix where they would part ways and she would be a wingman for adrienette... only it didn't happen. Adribrinna were just a couple of wonderful goobers. Adrientte misfired (Ladynoir still strong if Platonic!) and the backup-Lukanette for Marinette turned into Chlonette. Ooops. Now it's my longest running AU.

I just love these two together. Sabrina is actually the YA protagonist character, only without the wink and a nod. She's actually clumsy, actually put upon, actually not liked by many. She means well, tries hard, and pays attention but it hasn't gotten her far. Adrien *pays attention*. Sure he's built up life skills living in a horrible family environment, but it works to his advantage here. Sabrina is desperately earnest in her desire to please(from her own damage) and Adrien is aware enough to feel that and want to be worthy of so much devotion. They're a feedback loop of support and snuggles.

Writing for them just makes me happy, even if the general reaction to the ship is 'That's a ship?'

hello, hi, I just had the thought of adult Marinette and Adrien have kids, yeah? They're still heros.

Obviously in the safety of their home they can transform, by coincidence, their kids never sees them transform or detransform. They are either in another room or has their back turned to their parents.

But the kids do clearly see that the heros of Paris like to stop by their house, parent them, eat their snacks, and nap on the couch. Sometimes in that order...

Cue Adrientte's kids thinking they have four parents because ✨️lack of communication and kwamii magic✨️

100% agree. I’m a little biased bc the Ladynoir dynamic is my favourite (and I miss them a lot this season), but I think with the foundation that these characters have built with each other, it is unlike them to have barely any long interactions where they show signs of lingering feelings towards each other. Especially when you consider Marinettes awkwardness and Adriens lack of social skills. Like, I remember being a teenager and having to sit in class with people I’d kissed, and it was extremely awkward. There’s no reason these two teenagers should be exempt from that. And like op said they had a whole life together in Jubilation. That’s way more that just a simple kiss.

However, I think writing-wise, the writers spent a LOT of time on Ladynoir angst last season, so they don’t want to bring too much into the current season and overshadow the Adrientte plot we’re getting. No matter how much we all love this show, it’s still a children’s cartoon, and in that sense, the ladynoir plot is “complete” now that Adrientte is officially together.

Where did LadyNoir go?

I’m definitely not the only person who has said and thought this, plus feels a bit salty about it lol. But I think it needs to be talked about more.

In the beginning of season 5, Ladybug and Cat Noir start falling into the Reverse Love Square dynamic. Ladybug starts acting real flirty around Cat Noir, and Cat Noir is slowly pushing her away. But the thing is, it’s made obvious that Cat Noir still loves Ladybug and Marinette still loves Adrien. More importantly, that Cat Noir still loves Ladybug.

Like, Cat Noir was absolutely devastated and tried to completely cataclysm an akumatized villain over tricking him with the LadyNoir dream sequence. An extremely clear sign he still loves Ladybug.

And then, even more struggles develop between them, as shown through the Marichat dynamic in Elation. Cat Noir realizes he can’t love someone being masked. Marinette starts to realize how hard it is to love Cat Noir HOWEVER she still didn’t want to give up, hell she kissed that boy.

But, as soon as Adrien and Marinette end up together after all these struggles, no awkwardness nor signs of still loving each other exist at all in the LadyNoir ship. It’s all just completely wiped away, all LadyNoir does is act like heroic partners. It’s almost like the Marichat kiss and LadyNoir dream never happened.

I know it’s important that Marinette realized it’d be too tough to be with Cat Noir and that Cat Noir notices it’d be too hard to be with Ladybug - I’m not saying it isn’t. However, I wish there were still signs - even if they’re small - of awkwardness or tension between Ladybug and Cat Noir. Or, they could even show Marinette and Adrien individually struggling with these feelings outside of duty. The love they’ve had for each other can’t just suddenly drop entirely. It’s something that’s built so much over time.

Yes, the Adrienette ship has built over time and it is important that they’re together now. BUT, I’m also saying that it’s unrealistic to portray Ladybug and Cat Noir no longer having any sort of romantic feelings for each other.

Without showing any more progression of the LadyNoir ship at all, the Love Square flops a bit, especially since LadyNoir is just as important of a ship as Adrienette.

i rly rly want lukanette to happen because i think luka is perfect for marinette as who she is now, while adrien will be perfect for her in their future. tbh marinette has to grow and learn to accept her feelings and take adrien down from the pedestal she puts him on. then she can properly love him for who he is. and adrien needs to do the same. he needs to take ladybug off the pedestal he puts her on. 

i genuinely think with how their characters are and where theyre going to develop from here that adrien and marinette need to grow more otherwise theyll never be able to love each other properly. marinette would have to accept that she loves chat noir more than just a friend, and same with adrien because they really do love each other now matter what, in or out of the suit. master fu was righht when he said they were made for each other.

As their powers and miraculous begin to affect their day-to-day lives will they still keep their secrets from the world and each other? Dealing with puberty is difficult enough without this mess!

Slow-building romance and bonding between these two lovable dorks.

Something that explores Marinette having had 0 friends before that start of the show!! 🎉 (also I love that it’s stated very clearly that Adrien’s one and only goal in going to public school is to make friends). I actually really love this one it’s got them both being awkward kids (who don’t quite know what they’re doing when trying to make friends), plus figuring out this superhero business, PLUS miraculous side effects! Also shout out to Alya for being both a great friend and also being allowed to be unsure of herself when trying to find her place as the new girl.

It’s got lots of great Ladynoir friendship (they decide they’re best friends and both are freaking ecstatic), some Adrientte with top tear disasternette, and one chapter of very cute fun Marichat. There’s about one scene of Ladrien but it doesn’t last long.

This was last updated in 2018 so probably no more, BUT what’s here is a great 9 chapters!

I actually agree with you with how Miraculous Ladybug is heavily flawed. For one person to make a mistake and face consequences, but another person makes the same mistake and faces no consequences is messed up. This is why and I'm not trying to bash anyone is why quality in the writing has decreased. All characters need to learn from mistakes to grow. At this point I preferer all the characters get called out for their actions, not just solely on one person

Agreed, especially when other characters do substantially worse for more selfish reasons than the one character they keep using and forcing to be in the “wrong”.

Adrien lied to Theo about him and Ladybug dating, causing an akuma that was entirely his fault, and blamed it on Ladybug not showing up at the statue unveiling instead of at any point admitting what he did.

Adrien twice refused to work with Ladybug because she rejected him.

Chloe was actively bullying people. Willfully and happily. Constantly.

Chloe sabotaged Uncle Cheng’s soup to make him lose a contest out of spite and caused the other judges to get food poisoning. No, I don’t care that they didn’t actually suffer for it, Chloe didn’t know or care what the effects would be except that the guy would lose. He’s a famous chef! Losing this contest could have irrevocably damaged his reputation and cost him his livelihood.

Chloe stole Marinette’s design and tried to frame her as the thief, which could have ruined her dreams of being a fashion designer and lost her any credibility which you KNOW Chloe would continue to use against her at any opportunity had her plan succeeded.

Chloe tried to crash a train. SHE TRIED TO CRASH A TRAIN! No, it doesn’t matter that she was doing it to get her mom’s attention, PEOPLE COULD HAVE DIED! People, including Marinette and her family could have DIED if even one thing had gone wrong, and CHLOE DIDN’T CARE! It was NOT something that should have been hand waved to be as simple as a “mistake” and was NOT in any way comparable to Ladybug losing a Miraculous.

Alya had a major focus on revealing Ladybug’s identity regardless with no consideration of the problems that would cause. Furthermore, even though she moved on from that after becoming Rena Rouge, she still revealed sensitive information that only ultimately worked to Hawk Moth’s benefit.

Alya has also had an annoying tendency to push for Adrientte even when one of the two involved in that equation is oblivious and the other has specifically told her no. She wants her friend to be happy, which is admirable, but not when it involves disrespecting her wishes and causing her more stress in the process.

And then there’s Lila. Just...everything to do with Lila and her strange power to warp reality and intelligence as she needs it.

And yet they learn no lesson, receive little to no consequence, and the resulting blow of whatever callout they do get is softened by the end of the episode while Marinette’s torment is usually played up and usually done so for laughs.

I’m not saying Marinette doesn’t deserve callout, but she warrants callout for the things she actually DOES instead of making other people’s problems her responsibility, making up disjointed reasons to have her be wrong, or struggling to manage with a heavy burden the best she can with little support. And more importantly she shouldn’t be the ONLY ONE learning a “lesson” every episode. Especially if it’s one they already forced on her before.

When they’re doing THAT, they’re basically making her the Atlas to carry the entire show. And even if the show is about her, she is not and CANNOT be the only one in it.

Adrien: Too bad we c-c-couldn't save him in time.

Luka: All this time, he was just some rich guy with a grudge against your dad?

Nino: That's messed up.

Emilie: Love, or in some cases, a lack of it, can make people do strange, and even awful things. *sigh* Poor Emil. I can't help but feel somewhat responsible

Nathalie: It's not your fault, Emi. You were already spoken for in terms of love, and he knew that. He was the one who couldn't let it go.

Emilie: I know. Still.

Su Han: You are not the one who told him to do the things he did. You are not the one who killed him. Put it behind you, Madam.

Emilie: *deep breath* Right.

Rose: So what now? There's no Hawkmoth.

Chloe: Yeah. Do we just put the Miraculouses away?

Master: That was the old way of doing things.

Su Han: Indeed. You are the Guardians now. It is your choice.

*everyone looks back and forth at each other*

Chloe: *to Rose* I'm exhausted from today, but you up for a patrol tomorrow night, partner?

Rose: *squeals* Yes, yes, yes! Ooh, this will be great!

Alya: *to Nino* You and me the night after, babe?

Nino: It's a date, boo.

Marinette: We'll work out a new schedule another night, but I think, for at least tonight, we've earned a rest.
