I mean, about a week ago you were mentioning you had an idea for a story you wanted to write, yeah? You never did get back to me on that, so maybe just write out something for that? (Cause I mean, in general I just highkey wanna hear about it)

aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I could do that too 0_0 My sole issue rn is that one character is left complete unamed bc idk enough greek names (yet) but! but I wanna do that right and write smth with that!

Leaning on the railing, Alexios sighed with content, his brown eyes scanning the sea. The cerulean blue of the sky gently drowing in the greenish horizon line of the Aegean was quite the peaceful sight since their narrow escape from Scylla’s lair and the familiarity of these waves was suprisingly reassuring for the young man. Thanking the gods under his breath, he closed his eyes, feeling the sea breeze gentle ruffle his hair as it brought with it a salty scent.

“This place... it feels so... so different?” A voice spoke up from behind him.

Alexios hummed softly, eyes still closed.

“It’s as if we had left for an entirely different world with... less monsters and more... more that.”

He opened his eyes just in time to see Adrasthea make a gesture to design the sight before them, nearly slapping him in the process.

“Oh! Sorry!” The young woman bit her lip, offering him an apologetic look to which he replied with a forgiving smile.

“It’s fine, don’t apologise for this,�� he muttered, turning his gaze to her.

With her torned, ditry chiton and her dischiveled hair, their earlier struggles were still clear; the last hours had been rough on them.

“Where’s Rosalia?”

“Still sick... it’s almost as if Poseidon hated her by this point...” She replied, shaking her head with resignation.

“Her stomach just needs to get used to this, she’ll be fine soon...”

“Let’s pray the gods it does...

Adrasthea leaned on the railing beside him, turning her gaze to the sea as he did the same. Her eyes scanned the waves, as if she was trying to see what was hidden beneath their surface.

“Are we very far from land?”

“I don’t know... maybe a few hours away from Athens. I’m not quite sure where we are right now but I’m pretty certain we’re going in the right direction.”

“Well that’s good news, mister navigator.” She smiled, turning to him.

“What? I’m no navigator, I’m not even good with boats!”

“Well you did found a way to lead us out of the Sea of Monsters, I don’t think just any men could have done that...”

Alexios could feel his cheeks burn.

“B-but I almost killed us when-”

“But we’re still alive and in one piece. Just take the compliment Alexios, you need to give yourself more credits for what you do.”

The demigod looked down in embarassment, not used to this.

“I guess...”

So yeah, here’s a small thing I wrote!!! I’m really happy because I just found Alexios’ name but Rosalia still needs to get a greek one, since Rosalia is actually a latin name, which wouldn’t fit for something happening in ancient greece, before the roman empire lol I really want to flesh out and write the entire story one day, except I currently sort of am only half-able to do so, because I really, really want to get my history facts accuate, which means f ton of researches on ancient greece :’ ) BUT, luckily for me, that fits with my whole “studying to be an historian” thing, so I should be good :D anyhow, hope you enjoyed!

The latter sighed, twirling around one last time, “it’s the hair, isn’t it?”

Her girlfriend nodded. “Though if you want my humblest opinion...”

“I don’t.”

Amatlhée’s tone was sharp like a knife and Adrasthée found herself bitting her cheek and nodding as she looked away.

“Mom would have known exactly what to wear for this...”

“And she’d have turned every single man at the feast into a pig and created a diplomatic incident that would have been sure to put our best friend into bigger trouble that he already is in... assuming she didn’t turn him into a pig again.”

Amalthée huffed quietly, untying her hair, “are you angry?”

“What-”

“Just because I didn’t want to hear you make an idiot of yourself again?”

“No- I-”

“I know what you think of me,” Amalthée’s tone softened, “there’s no need to remind me all the time.” She tied her hair up in a slightly better bun than the last. “I don’t like the looks we get when you do it.”

Adrasthée nodded slowly, looking to her feet once more, “sorry.”

Extending her hand to cup her cheek, her girlfriend hummed. “It’s alright, I like you anyways.” The enchantress, leant in, pressing a gentle kiss on her lips.�� “How about you help me fix myself up now?” Amalthée offered her a gentle smile.

“Yeah... let’s do that.”

I don't exactly have any stable concepts of soulmates anywhere, in all honesty, but the most likely to have soulmates are the greek trio and Delia, since Plato reported a myth on soulmates (sadly idk who would be everyone's soulmate, though at least Delia's is a platonic one); and then you have Sam, and maybe Aloys. Souls are very important to naga culture though Sam doesn't know it (they've been entirely cut off from it since their grandfather got exiled, back in ye ol' probably Mesopotamian times), since they can see them under certain circumstances, and part of me have been debating whether or not Aloys and Camilla shouldn't be the same soul that keeps coming back in hope to finally be able to remain with Sam. So yeah! That's about it!
