Freelancer blocks people on Pinterest

Damien had one terrible experience with the nurses at DAMN and he's still not over it, and so does everything in his power to avoid going to the healers even when he really should

He's also gotten quite skilled at healing magic as a result

Lasko's glasses are in a constant state of being broken, the lens always popping out of the frame, so he's developed a habit where he taps his lens at random times just to make sure its still there

Huxley is capable of manipulating metal, but doesn't wanna bother with honing his skill because he prefers the greenery and flora aspect of earth magic

Gavin runs a DAMN gossip blog, a fair bit of the gossip is what Lasko accidentally spills while rambling

Caelum found out about cotton candy and made it his life mission to make his hair look as much like it as possible

Dear does aeral acrobatics in their spare time, Lasko is ensorceled and mystified every time he watches them practice

If Damien gets angry enough, he can go band for band with Lasko in terms of speaking speed

Damien always wanted piercings, but was worried they'd harm his professional career, it was Huxley that helped him let go of his hesitation and finally get his ears pierced. They held hands the whole time.

Huxley himself has a septum piercing.

Dear is the most eloquent speaker of the entire crew, and possibly the entire DAMN campus, they're one of the highest rated professors at the academy.

When Freelancer is bored, they intentionally create steam and fog up their windows so they can use their fingers to draw on them

Caelum once saw them do this and now insists they do it at least thrice a day so he can doodle

Gavin cannot sit still long enough to get his nails done, so he uses demon powers to shift his form and give himself naturally fabulous nails, whenever he does his he makes sure to go show off to Freelancer because their jealous angry pout is adorable

Huxley once had to return a size XXL compression shirt because it was too tight. Damien begged him not to.

Caelum once has unsupervised access to Freelancer's gaming pc and played Poppy Playtime thinking it was a cutesy roblox type game.

He didn't sleep for three nights afterward.

Then tried playing again because he wanted to finish chapter one.

Lasko has Poliosis, it's especially abundant on his very long eyelashes.

Dear takes special joy in having him try out multicoloured mascara

While Damien is best at memorising text to score high marks, Freelancer is best at understanding it, and often gives tutoring lessons to the rest of the crew.

Dear used to secretly wish they were an earth elemental so that they could manipulate crystals, but now makes the most beautiful ice sculptures with their water magic.

It took Lasko a very long time to accept that he was truly wanted by the crew, and that he wasn't just some straggler they allowed to follow them around.

Gavin and Freelancer once challenged each other to see who would get flirted with the most at DAMN events, Freelancer got 8, Gavin got 13, and Dear won with 21 {not including Lasko drooling all over them}

The characters of Caelum 's favorite cartoon all have a decora aesthetic, so Caelum has started to make a collection of cute accessories and clips so he can dress like them.

Freelancer is his biggest enabler and loves surprising him with sticker packs and rainbow hair clips

When Damien and Huxley have sleepovers, and are all cosied up next to each other in their warm blankets while drinking hot cocoa, Huxley gets so wrapped up in doting over Damien that he only realises how much time has passed when his hot cocoa gets cold, and then he makes them both go to bed because 'Having a healthy sleep schedule is important dude'

Damien absolutely hates when he does this so he secretly and subtly rewarms Huxley's cocoa so he can spend more time whispering to him in his arms.

Apart from the Sam slander which was totally uncalled for, totally gratuitous, totally malicious, and which could've been totally avoided by making Sam appear in that pcs with the TB saluting their captain and awaiting for orders…as his new recruits for HIS New Avengers….instead of willingly making him appear like a dumb evil angered black man who's shitting on their precious white boyz team….without a serious motivation for neither of the two parts’ actions’....

(but of course this couldn't be allowed right? God forbid a black man gets the respect and the recognition he deserves and is totally due, as EVEN FICTIONAL PEOPLE IN HIS UNIVERSE CAN DO, because next what will be?? A black woman for President, huh??? O TEMPORA, O MORES! Without even considering all the white cishet women who drools so badly to be in the white boy's pants and can't allow a black man to get to his ass first….).

It'll be a long post plus spoilers, so the rest under the cut. Please bear with me because I'm DISGUSTED. 

There's another thing that's nagging at me, more specifical, and which makes Bucky’s actions even more OOC and indefensible and unwarranted. And it’s the presence, in that ragtag team, of Alexei and John. And not only because they are assholes pieces of shit. But because they're supersoldiers. Follow me, please.

We know specifically from Bucky’s words in CABNW, and also from Steve’s whole attitude towards Sam, that Sam Wilson has been chosen as Captain America because of his moral and ethical qualities, because of his heart, because of his mind. Having or not having the serum, as pointed out multiple times also in TFATWS, is irrelevant. The serum doesn't make the hero, if the hero isn't already there. Captain America doesn't need to be superpowered to do what he does, because sure, he must fight, but mostly he needs to make the right calls, take the right decisions, the hard decisions nobody can make because they aren't super partes, talk to people instead of fighting, and never killing, not even when justified. 

Even more, Captain America has his own code and doesn't answer to any governments beck and call, but only to justice and compassion. As proved many times by Steve Rogers, White Boy Extraordinaire, when going rogue and even when abandoning the Captain America name for the Nomad identity. Right? And that's exactly why Steve chose Sam Wilson. Sam is brave, is strong, is compassionate, is fair, is human, but most of all, he's intelligent, he's brilliant, he's charismatic, he's a strategist and a tactician. He has the brawn but most of all, he has the brain.

And this is dangerous. To every government, to every established power, to every organization, people who can think and decide on their own, especially if these people are adored and worshipped by folks and masses, ARE DANGEROUS. They can't be controlled. They can't be lured. They can't be coaxed. They can't be threatened. They can't be bought. They can't be manipulated. They are a threat to any government because they don't answer to the Government's rules, which have all to do with law and nothing to justice.

Dike VS Themis. It's an ooooold debate.

Sam Wilson doesn't have the serum, so he must be super smart and super intelligent to compensate for his disadvantage in battle, and we see it multiple times during the Celestial Island battle and the Red Hulk fight (thank you @staying-elive !). The amount of synapses needed to coordinate body, wings, weapons, shield, Redwing, and to fight to disarm and defuse instead of blowing up and killing, is insane.

This alone makes him a threat. They know they can ask Captain America to cooperate and help, but he'll never bend his neck and he'll never wear a sanctioned collar, and he'll never act against justice only because The American Government, God Save The President, says so. They all know it.

Back to the AvengerZ (sorry but that's the only appropriate name to this bad copy). I only really thought about it recently, I couldn't quite pinpoint it, until I read @imomnba-x07 and @thevibraniumveterans posts. There are two lines of thought that really scare me, here, and that's because I've worked as a government's little cog my whole life and I notice the clues.

Even leaving the whole Valentina’s issue aside, even ignoring the (dangerous) fact that her stunt saved her ass and brought a part of the government on her side, even ignoring the fact that the TB could've easily exposed her and handed her to justice but they chose not to (wow….that's a lot to ignore!), let's stick to the fact that the Government now has its own “Superhero Department” with people on payroll they can send around to do its dirty, dangerous job, per its request, every time someone or something is deemed a threat to Earth's safety, no questions asked, no doubts raised, no objections made.

I'm choosing to leave the Bucky issue aside because we agree he's so OOC and his actions and choices are so indefensible (unless he's working undercover for Sam, but even like this, he should've acted differently in that last scene, even if he's very bad at lying), that it doesn't make sense that he might yearn for freedom then chain himself to a Government's beck and call, and that he worked months to expose Valentina (HE SPECIFICALLY, not Yelena nor the other mercenaries), and right when he had his chance….he went puff….

The problem here is the presence of Alexei and John. 

First. An ethical reason.

Antonia was introduced only to kill her senslessly right at the beginning. Shock value and cruelty, sure. Bad, cheap writing, indeed. But! By choosing to keep John, White Male Extraordinaire, and killing Antonia, they made another choice: they killed a victim, a trauma survivor, an abused woman, who surely had superpowers but which powers she never could choose to have, never asked to have, and were forced onto her by harming her. She has made bad calls in life, but just as Bucky, as Yelena, as Ava, she didn't have much of a choice or a saying in the matter. Abused, manipulated, traumatized. I bet her mind rooms wouldn't have been very nice. 

She died, though, and John survived. This is extremely worrying and dangerous, as a concept, because John ISN'T A VICTIM. Let me phrase it better. 

JOHN WALKER HAS NEVER BEEN A VICTIM, HAS NEVER BEEN A TRAUMA SURVIVOR, HAS NEVER BEEN ABUSED, HAS NEVER BEEN EXPERIMENTED UPON, HE WILLINGLY CHOSE TO TAKE THE SERUM BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BE MORE.

In fact, and this is horrifying in a movie which claims to be about mental illness and depression and how to magically heal by the powers of hugs and friendship, we only see one mind room about John. Oh yes. What is his trauma? Thank you for the question.

JOHN FUCKING WALKER'S SO-CALLED TRAUMA is that he's been an abusive asshole to his family because he was so obsessed about the fame and glory and respect he had lost (because, you know, he murdered a surrendering man in broad daylight because he couldn't control himself), that he couldn't even rein his emotions in and care about what should've really mattered to him. A selfish, self centered, violent, abusive piece of shit, who apparently considers himself a victim because his wife didn't wait to be beaten to death during one of his rage fits and run away to save herself and her baby.

You see why this is dangerous? A true victim gets killed, an abuser gets saved and praised and rewarded. And the audience should empathize with him and feel sorry because that stupid woman left his sorry ass and made him a sad little meow meow?! Rewriting history is always a danger. You know what I'm talking about. Victims being depicted as culprits, and abusers being portrayed as victims. 

Another thing is dangerous. And this is reconnecting to Sam Wilson. Alexei and John are supersoldiers, even more, they've always and only been Government employed supersoldiers. The other TB? Not so much. They have been rogue and mercenaries, Yelena surely has worked for her government too, but mainly they are wild cards. Not these two.

These are enhanced individuals (the same ones we still see a part of the government is still wary about, right during the process against Valentina) who have always worked as some sort of elite forces for their Government's black ops. They don't need finesse. They don't need strategy. They don't need intelligence. They don't need tactics. They don't need synapses. Why should they, when they can simply hammer down and shoot and maim until no opponent stands? Why should they plan things ahead and control damage, when they can simply shoot first and ask questions later?

THEY DON'T NEED TO BE INTELLIGENT AND ABLE TO THINK AND MAKE AUTONOMOUS DECISIONS BECAUSE THAT'S NOT PART OF THEIR CONTRACT.

Never has been. The orders arrive. They obey. They kill. The government doesn’t need to worry they'll object and go rogue. You know that thing so many TB apologists say about “oh but they didn't choose to form the team, they didn't know about each other, they just found themselves together and were forced to collaborate to save their asses and in the end they were put into a team!”

Yes. That's what I'm saying. They cannot think. They cannot decide. They cannot collaborate as a single unit if not to survive. Fuck!! The only time they had one fucking chance to act intelligently and take their own decisions, THEY DID NOTHING! They could've fucked Valentina sideways IN FRONT OF ALL WORLD but they didn't. Because they can only obey orders, not plan in advance, not take the right decisions on their own. They are servants, not heroes. And Bucky chose to be a servant, too.

You see why this team, Valentina’s team, and not Sam’s, is convenient to a Government? Do you think a Navy SEAL would restrain himself from killing a bunch of unharmed sheep herders in Afghanistan, if he thought they could be a potential threat? Read some books (I did), and learn about what the US Government really asks of their elite forces.

Sam Wilson would never comply.

But Alexei and John?! Fuck. That's all they've done for their whole adult life. Hell! Alexei would trade his daughters for a minute under the spotlights! That's why we couldn't see any mind room for him, he hadn't any! He too, like Walker, is the abuser, not the victim. The manipulator, not the victim. He, too, only seeks public cheering at any cost, a picture onto cereal boxes (HAVE WE EVER SEEN STEVE ROGER'S OR TONY STARK’S FACES ON CEREAL BOXES?! For my aesthetics exam, more than twenty years ago, I had to study a bunch of Freud texts. Sure, the man had issues. But one thing I remember, albeit not in full details: it's a metaphor of sorts. He makes the example of two different men reacting to the same situation: a child falls into a river and is in drowning danger. Both men throw themselves in the cold waters and drag the child to safety, but then die in their place. Do you think this episode is so boring because they brought back the Nein and reminded us how good they are? I keep thinking about this as I'm absently watching this episode, saw your post and would love to hear your thoughts on it. Because like, at least to me, most villains this campaign are painfully boring. But the Weave Mind are also boring. That was fine, M9 handled it perfectly and I loved it. Ludinus is arguably the only kinda interesting bad guy and a PC's mom is in mortal danger and I can't manage to care.

I don't find Ludinus and the Weave Mind boring! I don't find Liliana boring either! And I found Ozo Cruth and Otohan Thull DREADFULLY boring but actually, the fights with them are pretty fucking great. I mean, I have a LOT of criticism about the first Otohan fight that boils down to "this was EXCEPTIONALLY poorly signaled and I'd be PISSED if my character was killed for someone else's arc at this point in the story" but Otohan being boring is about the non-combat elements; she felt very real and compelling as a THREAT, just, she could have been a giant blender of magic knives that the party was going to be dumped in for all she had an impact on the story as a person. But I do think it is because we've seen the Mighty Nein and Vox Machina recently and remembered that they're orders of magnitude more compelling.

I think it's really like...I don't even want to say Bells Hells isn't bonded, but they lack something. I think I alluded to it in the tags of one of my posts but there's no banter between party members or sense of urgency. Like, I enjoyed the whole All-Minds-Burn/Myceit scenes a lot, actually, but after Imogen's initial (justified) panic the pacing felt unbelievably slow until we got to combat. I have found that really, for a good deal of the campaign, you have to kind of take things episode by episode and enjoy the good set pieces and scenes because it simply does not make for a pleasing and rewarding whole. The reason I didn't care about Liliana is, to be fair, partly because I think having her die would be an interesting development, but also because there wasn't a sense of "we can't stop and fuck around with mushrooms, LILIANA IS DYING" within the episode itself. No one was comforting Imogen as they ran through the tunnels. The Mighty Nein showed more personality and investment in the lead up to a fight that really, they had no more stake in other than the broad world-ending ones. As someone who's been playing a LOT of Veilguard which is all about building a close-knit team, and who's had VM and the Nein the past month to compare Bells Hells with, that lack is immediately apparent.

I said, over a year ago (possibly over two, I don't recall) now about one of the relationships in the campaign that it felt like when I see a single episode from a soap opera I don't follow. The actors are imbuing lines with emotion, but everything feels kind of disconnected. Like, this is all in a deeply subjective realm, I cannot give you a strong argument based on logic here as it's very much vibes-based, but I feel like when I watched this, my thought process was "BAFTA-winning Actor Laura Bailey is doing an excellent job of conveying the emotions 'terror and anguish over a dying relative' in this line read, and not "Imogen Temult, a character I've been familiar with since October 2021, is devastated over the potential demise of her mother.' " And I never had that issue with C1 and C2. Like, you can call it je ne sais quoi or the juice or the sauce or chemistry or the spark or whatever the fuck but Campaign 3/Bells Hells simply doesn't seem to have it for a huge number of people who have adored pretty much every other Critical Role work, and that means something. My personal thought is that it's because this has been such a plot-focused campaign without strong DM prepping of what kind of characters would be appropriately invested that we've had the problems we did (rampant indecision, lack of party chemistry due to lack of early opportunities to mingle and meld, lack of investment in each others' lives due to insufficient time focused on backstory-related plotlines), but I could be wrong, and ultimately the root cause isn't super important to this question, which is just. they don't have the it factor.

susan's horn

i love all of susan's props, but on every level susan's horn has always captivated me. the daffodil and the lion motifs both being present; the way it ages into that stunning ivory coloring in prince caspian; how iconic a story piece it is in the first two films. i adore it with all my heart, and i always wanted it, and it was the greatest win ever to find one of the noble collection ones on fb marketplace for basically the original retail price. i am never gonna be over it. it's just So stunning!

lucy's crown

genuinely THE most iconic piece of cinema jewelry to me ever. i burst into tears seeing it in person. i've wanted it my entire life and the world is not allowed to end before the official release of the upgraded versions by nr props, whenever that ends up being, because i HAVE to have it in my life. i still can't believe i've gotten to see the real thing in person tbh. easily one of the best days of my life. the laurel and yarrow, the little twists on the end, the hand-carved mother of pearl flowers...it makes me ill. defining items of my childhood, truly. i love susan's crown so so much as well but if i could only have one i would choose lucy's every time.

the wardrobe

easily one of the most iconic set pieces ever created. i remember i was so enchanted when i found out that the panels tell the story of the magician's nephew. it was one of my first instances of realizing how much care people can put into telling or adapting stories, and indeed how much the narnia movies cared. but also, it's just so gorgeous? the details, the woodwork, the shape of it...i've always been enchanted by it. my wardrobe miniature is one of my most prized possessions. i can't wait until i can pick it up from where it's on display at my library right now (i miss it). it sparked my childhood imagination like little else.

peter's sword and shield

okay i'm cheating a little here, but imagine if i'd let myself do costumes and said peter's entire suit of armor? anyway, funny story, anyone else remember that lion-engraved golden plate from the treasure house in pc? well for some reason that i later realized to be that i had seen it in person at the prince caspian exhibit in disney world as a kid and internalized it somehow, i always thought THAT was peter's shield in the gap between dawn treader coming out and my rewatching the narnia movies in my later teens, and i was SO mad when i found out it wasn't. since then, however, i have fallen soooo in love with peter's shield. the apple leaves, the lion that's just a bit distinct from the lion on the standards and his tunic, his initials at the bottom...it's stunning. do NOT get me started on the lion's head buckle for the strap, or the lion's head on rhindon's sheath. and speaking of rhindon, the lettering of the prophecy on the blade, that lovely blade profile, the lion-headed pommel i never fukcing shut up about!! it's iconic. probably the most iconic movie weaponry to me like EVER? i'm obsessed. i'm in love. i keep writing about the damn things So Much in every fic. i burn with jealousy thinking about the prop culture man out there in the wild who just pulled peter's damn sword out of his trunk like it was nothing. i wish i were him SO bad.

this is literally the only damn shot of it in the film and outside of one piece of rough concept art in the weta book i have not been able to find hide nor hair of this prop or what happened to it after the films. i have seen speculation it was kept as part of the walt disney archives but i have no way of confirming that. anyway! that's why my reference is so fucking bad but if you look closely you can see NOT ONLY is this a reference to the magician's nephew and therefore digory's origins by being shaped like a silver apple BUT ALSO it has images from that same story (just like the wardrobe!) on its sides: fledge for certain, potentially the witch, and i really can't say for sure what else. this piece haunts me, genuinely. the total lack of references for it anywhere. how tiny a detail it is but how much it speaks to the level of effort put into every aspect of these films. how pretty it is. i want it so bad. where IS it. show me a PHOTO!!!! IZMARK. IZ. GAY. And madly in love with the druid. Unfortunately Izmark does not know he is gay. He believes it is very normal to lovingly stare into your homie's eyes and look down at his lips and imagine what it would be like to kiss him. And it is very normal to comment on how attractive your homie is, cause that's just what bros do.

Vollenta is a beautiful lesbian who refuses to let the fact that she is married to Strahd change the fact that she is a lesbian and nobody will tell her or her pile of bodies otherwise.

Ludmilla is on the ace spectrum. I mean, come on. She's with the guy for power and grant money. She says she loves him, and they're definitely intimate, but she's the kind of girly to take notes before during and after, you know?

Escher. What even needs to be said about Escher. He's Ravenloft's resident twink and proud of it. He's a little lonely and can't stop thinking about the boy he was in love with when he was young, who is now old and grizzled from age, while Escher himself remains the same age he was when he betrayed his lover and chose Strahd instead, but like... he's also pretty and immortal, so who cares?

Ezmerelda is a trans lesbian! She's gorgeous and I adore her. She's just so confident that she can kill Strahd on her own and I think she's right for that. I knew I wanted her to be a love interest for one of my PCs, and it just so happens that the player in question has a type.

Danika is also bi, and she's very happily married to her wonderful little husband. This hasn't come up in the campaign at all it's just something I know to be true in my heart.

The Abbot: Gender! Fluid! Call them whatever you want. He/him when you want to play on ideas of masculinity in religious circles, they/them when you want to make them seem undefinable, she/her when you want your PCs to reflect on how much mom trauma they all have :)

Jungkook's In-Laws: an astrology analysis

-> So I thought of doing a quick post today, since an anon asked me about this last time? How to know about your in laws in astrology? Basically, in a chart of yours (like Natal Chart), the 4H is about your family. But the 9H is about your in laws. So in a NC you should look at your 9H, also in Boda PC to know what your in laws will think about the wedding. For a Briede/ Groom PC or Juno PC, you can check 4H, since it tells about the family of your FS, so your in laws lol. Let's check for JK.

Jungkook's Natal Chart

-> Virgo 9H: His parents in law may be practical, perfectionist, cold or just distant, a bit awkward. The kind of introvert people who just don't know how to make conversations much (mostly dads lol). It also gives them the vibe to be closed to people they don't know, they don't like to share with people they don't know or are not close to. So private people. They can be workaholic or just people who works hard and a lot. These people might value hardworking people and may hate lazy people. It could mean they also have high expectations about their daughter and her future in general. So probably judging the people she dates or are strict parents. Logical people too. So they might be harsh with JK at first, trying to see if he is "good enough" for her in a sense. But this is also the kind of parents in law ti take care of you about every details once you are close to them. So could be the type to send you the best things, the best reviewed stuff, etc. They will take care to remember every details about you, what you like, what you hate, what you are allergic to, etc. They are also thoughtful people. So good manners are a must for them. They could be the type to send JK medicine and hot soup when they learn he is sick (for ex). Just very caring people once you get to know them.

-> Libra over the 9H: Libra being there too (and it's pretty big there) can add more Venusian traits to his parents in law. It means that they could attach importance to pretty and aesthetic things. They could find it important to be well presented and have good manners. They could have a pretty house, or live in a very harmonious place. Their home is well presented. They can be still welcoming and not too rigid with the virgo sign. This could ease the aspect. Also with libra, they could be understanding people, and fair too. They may hate injustice, everything should be fair and also justice should be present. They could be very charming people and may put Jk at ease right at first. It's the kind of people who you love because they seem understanding and very charismatic. You enjoy them for their company and the fact that they seem very understanding with you. Yet, they might critic you (and JK in this case) for his appearance, or might check every flaws about the look that he has (with virgo being there too). It might not be mean, it's just that they can see it more easily. They care about this, don't forget.

-> Venus in the 9H: A lot of venus energy there, so his mother in law could be significant more than his father in law. The feminine side of the family might be important, this could also mean that his family in law have more feminine energy (so there could also be more women than men there). I think it also means JK and them will adore each other too. So you shouldn't worry too much. His mother in law could have Venusian signs (Taurus, Libra) in her chart or is venus ruled. Father in law too but I think it's mostly about the mother.

-> Sagittarius 4H: We are looking at the 4H as I explained before here because in the FS' charts it says about their parents, so your future in laws. Here, the 4H is in Sagittarius. Foreign in laws. In laws that loves to travel, are curious, and mature. They could willingly want to discover new things. So they could just love to travel, learn new passions, learn languages, random informations, etc. They could have hobbies they love to keep learning over the years. It's also a sign of maturity and wisdom. They could often say life is the greatest teacher of all, something like that. It means also optimistic parents in law. They could be the type to want to go on vacation with you and just go with the flow. They are no pressure, just lovely people with whom you can have a nice conversation with.

-> Capricorn over the 4H: The father figure can be important or stand out there. It could also mean either his FS love or hate her dad. Or she could have a special connection with him. For parents in law, they could have money or be very hard working people. FS may have grow up without them, or they could have been away a lot of the house; maybe that's the case of the dad. For them, family is seen as traditional, and they may critic a lot the people their daughter dated before. So they may be hard at first on JK. They may see the fact off having children important as it can lead to a sort of legacy in the family, it's that kind of vibe. Can seem cold, or just very logical people. Money could also be important for them and they could show it off. So someone having a stable job is what they may expect for their daughter.

-> The Juno has the same placements as in the Briede Persona chart, I'm serious lol. So I'm just gonna add one more detail and not repeat myself.

-> Aquarius Neptune 4H: In-laws could see JK as different from what they expected for their daughter. It's in Aquarius so they could have had certain illusion about whom she would end up with. They definitely never expected their daughter to marry a Kpop Idol who happens to be very famous and successful. They could be in denials or just not believe it. It doesn't seem real for them. They could also have prejudices about him. They may thing he might be one of a kind and then realize they were wrong later.

Jungkook's Boda Persona Chart

(We are going to look at the 9H again, and it will tell us the In-laws reactions to the wedding)

-> Cancer 9H: It could def happen in their home country, as they seem to feel at home and safe where it happens. They just seem comfortable generally so it could totally be a wedding with their culture in their homeland. The mom could be important there, she could feel very proud of her daughter, or just feel very invested in the wedding.

-> Leo over the 9H: Both in laws feel proud of the wedding, they may feel they are important figures. They could be like "yes, THIS is my daughter". They may love the attention they are getting from the wedding. They could be having fun like a lot, just being the life of the party. Very happy, optimistic, and show off. They are not shy, they will not hesitate to show off lol.

-> Briede in the 9H: It's also in Leo so I wouldn't be surprised to see they mostly have eyes for their daughter than the whole wedding in general. To be honest, they may carte mostly about her, they only see her. They don't care much about JK, but I think it's because to them, he is not their son, but their son-in-law. So their daughter is more important. They may also love to see their daughter have so much attentions.

kinda negative: chetney is objectively frustrating as a pc in many ways but that he did not contribute to the conversation about the gods at all really made me feel like he added nothing to the team. ashton and dorian got hate for being anti-god, laudna, imogen, and fearne got hate for being indecisive, orym got hate for being pro-god, but chetney didn't say shit even when his werewolf brethren were cheering about how great melora is. what are your thoughts?

Can't say that I agree here, at least not fully. Chetney can be frustrating, but not on a meta level as a character, but rather as a person being portrayed. He can be grumpy and brash and direct, that's just the way he is and I adore him for it. I adore all of BH for their flaws and I am very glad the cast always kept the balance between positive and negative traits in the party alive.

Now when it comes to the gods, every member of Bells Hells kind of exists on a spectrum and every opinion was important for the journey and the eventual outcome. Pretty sure that if their opinions had been more similar the campaign would have been over real quick and that would have been boring. It's also very realistic and I am pretty sure the fact that the fandom is so split on the "right" answer kind of proves this.

I would kind of put Chetney on the neutral side of the god debate, in the sense that he doesn't give too many shits about the cosmic beings and their outerwordly problems, but rather focuses on the people on Exandria and how the entire conflict affects them. He's always advocated for the Hells, and especially Fearne and Imogen as the potential vessels, reminding everyone that the choice is in their hands, no matter what one might feel about the gods. Same with when he brought up Molaesmyr. To be fair, I don't recall every detail of his journey or statements, but as far as I remember, he has always tried to keep things kind of realistic. That really seems to be the core of it. He didn't have too many feelings on the gods, that's true, but he has a lot of feelings about his friends and their lives. He shows that time and time again.

I don't know if people agree with this, but it's my read on him. At the end of the day, Chet can be a real wildcard.

In this episode of "Clayton, can you stop making random crackships?" The answer is no! I'll never stop!

Caprice and Jornir.

I know- It sounds really out of left field, but the whole Shepherd/Frost got me thinking about more Andy PC/Derek PC ships. Not even including Marius/Lethica, but crossover ships. Which landed to Caprice/Skrimm for a short bit, before it shifted to Caprice/Jornir.

Caprice and Skrimm feel like they'd start a prank war without playing fair at all. But there's something so soft about Jornir and Caprice that I can't explain. And I'm a fucking sucker for softness and sweetness.

Caprice is a tiefling, easier to get hypothermia, and Jornir is a medicine man that's lived in the cold (implying) all his life. Imagine Caprice bundled in Jornir's furs near a campfire, the only sounds being the night itself and whatever song Caprice can think up to hum. Content, relatively safe..

But also imagine, Caprice going to Jorn on Mamut and hearing of this lone traveler, before deciding to visit. Not for medicinal reasons (maybe once or twice) but just to keep the firbolg company. Just playing some songs, telling stories, giving Jornir a bit of excitement for the day, traveling to an inn when it gets too late. And it repeats, because the company is nicer than expected, and some days, Caprice is still there, yet gives space.

It's a fun little take on the hot/cold ship dynamic, which I adore so so much. Honestly, someone sedate me before I start thinking too much.

If Nintendo ever decides to venture their franchises off of their consoles like what Sony and Microsoft have been doing for the past 7 years then i hope to god Splatoon gets on PC.

Even though I do NOT want Nintendo to go down the route of porting everything to PC, if they have to do it then for the LOVE OF GOD SPLATOON BETTER BE ON THERE!!!! Splatoon will literally become a bigger juggernaut in the west if you could buy the next Splatoon game on Steam i swear to god.

Splatoon is VERY popular within the Nintendo fan space and its MASSIVE in Japan, but in terms of its impact on competitive gaming and the west.... ehhhh... best it got was a reward for the best multiplayer game in 2022 and even then I remember people going, "What?! Splatoon?! The fuck?" And you wanna know why? Because it's a Switch exclusive, you know how many competitive people fucking hate the Switch and just don't wanna play on it? Fair, very fair on hating on the power level on the Switch but man does it hurt that people don't wanna try a series that I adore because it's on a shit platform for them.

Another reason why Splatoon doesn't reach the same heights as other competitive shooters like Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, Valorant, CS:GO, TF2, etc. Is because of all of the Nintendo-isms the series has.

The absolute horrendous online thats worse than Xbox 360 games, the cartoony art style, the perception that the game series is for kids and the control schemes of either sticks with no aim assist and gyro. I REALLYYYYYYY hope Splatoon 4 supports mouse controls or else i will scream. The lack of mouse and keyboard support is what stops a lot of "hardcore gamers" from giving Splatoon more than 10 minutes of playtime.

People are so fucking ignorant on gyro aiming and will literally clown on it to all hell. Yes it does have a learning curve, but to be so fucking ignorant and not give it a shot at all is blood boiling to me. You turn my blood into red steam if you shit on gyro without giving it at least a couple of games of testing. (This doesn't count people who have health related issues when it comes to gyro aiming. I'm talking about people who are fully capable of learning gyro yet they dont even give it a god damn try.)

Seeing a popular streamer like Flats who has a large viewer count and people listen to his words, shit all on gyro and not give it a chance at all makes me wanna jump into a KFC deep fryer. (At least his viewers know that his take on gyro aiming is complete bullshit so thank fuck for that.)

There's no good shooter games with good single player campaigns anymore! They don't try anymore! Games these days are getting worse!!"

I've been playing FoA every free moment I have since it came out, it's soooo good. I simply adore your approach to relationships and skills!! Usually when I play an IF I'm always worried about picking the right dialogue options to train up my skills or get the relationships I want, but in FoA I can just. Choose what kind of character I want to be, and who I want to spend my time with. No time limits or negative consequences. Can't overstate how much I love that <33

That being said I do have a question! So far I've only completed a run where I was Hermes friend, a run where I romanced him, and a run where I was Pyri's friend (the option to pursue purely platonic relationships is also so so important to me), and I noticed in the chapter where you share magic with them to help Lethe both of them comment that MC's magic felt different than they were expecting. But that never gets elaborated on. Does it have something to do with the whole "you're sort of Persephone, sort of Dionysus" thing? Are they feeling an untapped part of MC's power? Or is it something else?

It's basically that, yes. They feel a potential in the PC that they hadn't expected. Which is fair of them, really, because very few Olympians have any trace of what might be 'proto-Chthonic' magic, if you like. :)

Peter Parker was doomed.

And everyone knew it.

It started innocently enough. New addition to the team, Airen — Loki’s kid (adopted, but if anything, that just made it cooler and scarier) — strolled into the Tower like he owned the place, which, to be fair, with that family tree, he probably did.

From the second Peter laid eyes on him — tall, elegant, all sharp lines and dangerous smiles — Peter forgot how to brain.

Literally. No thoughts, head empty, just Airen.

At first, Tony thought Peter was malfunctioning.

"Kid's buffering," he'd said, waving a hand in front of Peter’s slack face. Steve was a little more polite about it — he pulled Tony aside and whispered, "Should we... be concerned?" By the time Peter walked into a wall — twice — in the same conversation, even Bruce was frowning.

"You think he’s sick?" Bruce asked, peering at Peter over his glasses like he was a science experiment about to explode. "Like, vibranium poisoning or something?"

"No, no," Natasha said dryly, arms crossed. "He's in love."

Peter, meanwhile, was in a state.

He couldn’t walk around Airen without tripping over his own feet. He couldn’t talk without stuttering so hard he sounded like an old Windows PC crashing.

And he definitely couldn’t breathe when Airen — ever the picture of polite concern — would step close, frowning adorably, and press a cool hand to Peter’s forehead. (Which usually made Peter's knees buckle, let's be honest.)

"You're burning up," Airen would murmur, voice silky smooth like it was made to haunt Peter’s dreams, "Are you ill?"

Peter, to his eternal shame, would squeak like a chew toy and immediately do something embarrassing — like knock over an entire table of lab equipment or actually get a nosebleed from overheating. (Airen had gone full Doctor Mode on him once. Bandages, ice packs, a worried hand brushing through Peter's hair — Peter honestly thought he might’ve died and gone to Valhalla.)

It got so bad that even Hawkeye — who barely noticed things unless they were actively exploding — pulled Peter aside during training.

"Listen, kid," Clint said, giving Peter a once-over like he was sizing him up for a funeral suit, "I've seen soldiers take shrapnel better than you're handling a cute guy. You gotta pull it together."

"He's not just cute," Peter blurted, horrified at himself, "He's — he's Airen!"

"Yeah," Bucky grunted, passing by with a grimace. "We know."

Airen, of course, was oblivious to the trail of destruction he left in his wake — or maybe he wasn’t, which somehow made it worse. He was the epitome of cool. He sparred with Thor like it was nothing, summoned weapons out of thin air with a casual flick of his hand, made jokes that were too clever for half the room to catch. He was a literal god-adjacent being — magic crackled under his skin, and when he smiled? Peter forgot what planet he was on.

And yet, Airen wasn’t unreachable. He made friends with MJ almost instantly — the two of them teaming up to roast Peter within five minutes. (Which Peter actually kinda loved. MJ approved. That was huge.)

"You need to ask him out," MJ said one night, lounging upside-down on Peter’s bed. "Seriously. Before you end up dying of spontaneous combustion."

"How?!" Peter exploded, arms flailing. "He's — he's him! I'm — I'm me! He's, like, a cosmic prince and I'm — I'm the weird kid who spilled his orange juice on Steve's shield that one time!"

"Exactly," MJ said with a smirk. "You're adorable. Airen already likes you, idiot."

Peter blinked at her.

"He does not."

"Please," MJ snorted. "You're the only person he calls 'darling' and 'sweetheart' and all that cringey Asgardian crap."

Peter short-circuited so hard he almost fell off the bed.

"Should we prepare a medical team?" Bruce asked Tony seriously.

Tony sighed, rubbing his temples. "Nah. Let the kid suffer. Builds character."

"Yeah," Steve said, watching Peter from across the common room — currently beet-red and sputtering because Airen had casually brushed a curl out of his eyes, "but how long before he explodes?"

I finished my first play-through of Dragon Age: Origins! It only took me... 15 years to pick it up... To be fair, it was released at a highly volatile time in my life when I was 19.

And it wouldn't be me if I didn't try to at least get a few shippy screens. I love love! Though, mostly forbidden since taking screens was one of the many reasons the game would crash on me. Playing old games on new PCs will do that... But I did manage to grab a few. I did manage to apply a trick -> no that isn't Alistair warming his hands by the camp fire, he's grabbing his woman!

Summary: I played a Dalish elf warrior and romanced Alistair. (Yes I keep going for the romantic goomba dorks who adore their violent women). I kept him soft, did not force him to be king and supported Anora as Queen (bish, she can do it on her own just fine! She don't need no man). Additionally, my party mostly included Morrigan and Leliana - the big-booba-tall-women (read: human) and added a mod to keep my dog, Ragnar. All in the quest to help fantasy!me, the big-plate-armor-shorty-elf-with-purple-hair. I opted for the dark ritual with Morrigan, killed the archdemon, and remained a Grey Warden with Alistair.

Personally I actually really love the concept of characters with bombs that are hidden inside plush dolls, they’re always so fun and cute! Now as for a (y/n) with those dolls…

She is not gonna be using them as freely when the time comes.

At the start I think the Chain would actually be really chill with her primarily using bombs in combat, I mean as long as she can control where they go. In fact, they’d prefer her using bombs than using nothing at all since - and I mean this as politely as possible - if would not be good if they had member of the group basically be deadweight.

*side eyes canon (y/n) who is not a combatant in any capacity*

And in all fairness, I’m pretty sure everyone who’s played a Zelda game has accidentally blown themselves up with their own bombs at least one time. Realistically would that kind of injury be severe and heavily impact her relationship with the Chain? Of course, but since when have I stuck to realism?

(y/n) being a combatant from the get go would certainly impact the Chain’s view of her fighting later on when they start becoming obsessive, but I think they’d still go through a phase where they think (y/n) shouldn’t be using them at all when their concern for her safety reaches its peak.

I mean, if these guys can blow themselves up with their own bombs when those bombs are just a side item then what about when they’re someone’s main weapon? I heavily doubt this variant of the reader would be without some bandages from accidentally blowing herself up on occasion.

Those who become a little too paranoid for her safety, such as Four, Twilight, and probably Wild just from his own personal experiences accidentally setting off a remote bomb too close to himself or using a bomb arrow in the Eldin region, would argue that she’s safer without them than with them.

And while most of the others would be in agreement, the problem is…she’s had these bombs and this method of fighting since before she ever came to Hyrule. Who are they to say what she can and cannot do to defend herself with?

It’s a struggle between the overwhelming desire to keep her safe and the need to respect her as their superior, after all they are barely worthy to hold a candle to her.

So, a compromise is made.

They politely ask (y/n) if she can limit her bomb usage, perhaps using a bit of well meaning manipulation to say that their ears are more sensitive than hers and as such the sound of the bombs going off hurts their ears.

They don’t want to limit their darling, don’t want her to feel caged and like her wings are being clipped, but they also want her to be safe above all else.

And if there were ever a time when (y/n)’s style of combat proved to be more detrimental to her well-being than not then they wouldn’t hesitate to take those bombs away, even if she protests.

On a slightly happier note, the plushies themselves are something the Chain would coo over a lot!

Some might even try to give her inspiration for new ones to make, even if they aren’t bombs(they’d be happier if they weren’t bombs tbh). I’m sure Hyrule has a bunch of dolls that look like himself saved up and Wild’s got pictures of Riju’s sand seals, those would be adorable!

But yeah, a reader who utilizes bombs in combat would challenge the Chain’s dual desires to both respect (y/n) as their ultimate authority(not that she knows) and keep her safe. But as long as she properly uses them, then she’ll be fine.

i've mentioned a few times that augustine does not care about how he is perceived with regards to gender. he is trans, and he does not want to be perceived as a woman, but then again- he's the lamb of god. he does not care what the humans think. his gender is ancient and complex. augustine has a gender in the way that gender existed before the fall. does that make sense. the only way augustine could feel fully comfortable in his human body would be if he could have all of his eyes but that would terrify the townsfolk so he keeps that part of his true form hidden

and in terms of his relationship with sydney, augustine never has to worry that sydney will see him as anything but who he is. even the people at the temple are very accepting of augustine- i mean, they kind of have to be. what are they going to do, huh? tell some ancient biblical angel that he can't be a boy because his current incarnation has a pussy? ridiculous. anyways, sydney adores every single part of augustine, and augustine adores every single part of sydney. they are meant to be one flesh!! augustine is currently hiding his wedding dress in his closet RAHH!!

i don't think augustine has as much of a god complex as he does a savior complex. he does believe in his own holiness, but not in the way where he thinks himself better than anyone. he only believes in his own duty to sacrifice himself for the rest of the world. it's not augustine's fault that people have this perception of him as "perfect," though. it's not his fault that everybody either wants him, wants to be him, or wants him dead!!

also, in terms of the self-sacrifice. augustine has believed for his entire lifespan that he's going to have to martyr himself for something. when he joins the temple and sees the statue, he realizes that he will have to martyr himself to bring the will of virgo back into the town and block the influence of auriga. (yes i know that the temple isn't exactly christian, like i've implied with a lot of stuff about augie's character, but there's enough overlap that we're just gonna roll with it) so there's anguish in augustine's relationship with sydney because he doesn't want to hurt sydney, and augustine starts to realize that he doesn't want to die actually!!! let me say right now that there is no world in which augustine actually dies. he will find some way to "save" or at least help the town that doesn't involve his own death. i just don't know what that is yet lmao so that's my fault

also i know a fair amount of augustine's character revolves around his relationship with sydney, in the same way that my other pcs' characters revolve a lot around their relationships with their love interests. BUT!! in terms of pcverse interaction that doesn't have to be the case. also GOD i really want to write about the relationship between him and damian (the butcher... the cannibal man... the man himself!) but my brain is so blank rn and i don't have the energy to write an official fic so RAHHH
