You ever get that feeling like you're f/o-ing characters by proxy? Like, you don't necessarily want to f/o them yourself, but you still want them to be f/os to someone and see other people self ship with them? Well, because I think I do ...
So I started rewatching Star Wars Rebels a few weeks ago and oh boy I think my dormant Star Wars hyperfixation is no longer dormant but instead coming back full force - AND NOW I WANT TO SEE THESE DORKS GETTING KISSES GODDAMMIT
These are just the first few that came to my mind but there's more (it's just that it's half past 5am and my brain is soup), but I'd love to see some self-inserts (or OCs) being shipped with them! And even if you don't like Imperials you could also just make them defect with/for you😌
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In oder: Lieutenant Yogar Lyste, Commandant Cumberlayne Aresko, Minister Maketh Tua, Admiral Kassius Konstantine, Agent Alexsandr Kallus, Grand Admiral Thrawn
I wasn't quite sure about including Kallus (bottom left) and Thrawn (bottom right) in this list, because 1. they're not nearly as underrated as the others (although I haven't really seen them around in the self ship community), and 2. I also very much ship Kallus with Zeb (I'm rarely crazy about canon x canon pairings but those two are really cute), and well Thrawn is also on my own f/o list anyway xD (I usually don't mind sharing though)
Bonus: Admiral Yularen, however I prefer his look in The Clone Wars, but he makes an appearance in Rebels too!
Tumblr media
(I really want to rewatch TCW as well once I'm finished with Rebels it's always been such a joy to watch when I was younger😭 I hope I can get my sister to watch it together with me like we used to)

Star Ware Rebels Bechdel Test Rewatch- 3x18 'Secret Cargo'
Tumblr media
Plot
The Ghost crew must escort Senator Mon Mothma, now wanted by the Empire, to a meeting that can change the galaxy.
Female Characters: 3
Hera Syndulla, Mon Mothma, Arihnda Pryce
Male Characters: 8
Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Jon Vander, Erskin Semaj, Kassius Konstantine, Vult Skerris
Droid Characters: 1
Chopper
Does it pass?
Yes, this episode has always been a favorite of mine and I'm happy to say it passes with flying colors! I love Mon Mothma, ever since I saw her in Return of the Jedi. I wanted to know more about this woman who was leading the Rebel Alliance. She popped up in The Clone Wars, Rogue One, and is a background character in Revenge of the Sith since all of her scenes were deleted. At the time this episode aired, this was the biggest showcase for her story we had gotten on screen. Now, we have Andor so we know quite a bit more about her. I loved revisiting this episode with knowing her backstory. The episode passes throughout as Her and Mon Mothma talk in the cockpit of the Ghost. They discuss the Rebellion and what it means to fight behind the scenes vs the front lines.
I love seeing the formal formation of the Rebellion here. It is more meaningful knowing how narrowly she escaped the Imperials to get there. Gold Leader himself, Jon Vander, is also here and gets some fun scenes fighting the TIE Defender with Ezra.
This episode is notable in that it is the first episode featuring Hera but not Sabine. Sabine is off with her family at this point, so we won't be seeing her for a few episodes. This is also the first episode that hasn't featured Kanan. I'd also like to mention the character of Gold Two, one of the female pilots escorting Mon Mothma. She has a decent amount of dialogue before she is unceremoniously knocked unconscious when the Rebels fall under attack. She is never named, not even on Ye Olde Wookieepedia, so I can't count her as a named character. To be fair, none of the members of Gold Squadron are named in the episode.

I'm gonna do Thrawn since I wanna get more stuff of him in my roster 💙
AND I HAVE THE PERFECT SITUATION HNNNNG OKAY BEAR WITH ME, I'm gonna do that thing again where I integrate it into a canon event
Thrawn
"Goodbye"
All it takes is one wrong move to sabotage perfection; only one man's carelessness to devastate what would otherwise have been a clear path to victory. The rebels were finally subdued, trapped by the overwhelming force of Thrawn's Seventh Fleet after he ambushed and blockaded their forces on Atollon. They had suffered heavy casualties, and with all the pieces now expertly put into place, he no longer had to fear for your safety.
It wasn't his decision initially to place you onboard Konstantine's Interdictor vessel, however, you assured him that keeping the egotistical admiral in line was going to guarantee the Empire's victory. He had reluctantly agreed, convinced that any potential rebel counterattacks would be directed at the Chimaera or one of the other ISDs, and therefore the safest place for you to be was aboard the Interdictor - and just as you yourself had said, keeping Kassius from getting any different ideas by having your presence there was ideal to ensure the desired outcome of this battle.
However, the temptations of the weak-minded had served to disrupt Thrawn's tactics before, and it seemed that regardless of the preemptive measures taken, that was once again going to be the case. His worst fear was inevitably realized when your raspy, desperate voice echoed over the comm.
"Admiral, Konstantine is directly defying orders. He's moving to intercept, he-"
The comm cut out before you could finish, leaving him in the dark as to what manner of treasonous behavior had been enacted to silence you. There was hardly time to process the nature of this suboptimal situation when he looked to find that the Interdictor was indeed moving out of position, straight into Commander Sato's lure. He could see it all unfolding before him, the clear and present danger blatantly visible in his eyes. A kamikaze was imminent, and you were going to-
"Konstantine! Return to your assigned coordinates immediately!"
The vessel didn't cease, continuing ever onward along the path of certain demise as Kassius's voice hissed low over the comm.
"I've had enough of your games, Grand Admiral."
Thrawn winced. Deep down, he always knew that Konstantine's insolence would come at a price far greater than he was willing to pay. Perhaps a part of him already knew that this day would come, where the lesser admiral's lust for glory would ultimately sabotage a significant victory for the Empire. Were it only that cost, he could remedy it eventually - but this was going to cost you your life, and him the comfort of your presence and endearing love. There was nothing he could do. It was too soon. It was too real.
No sooner than that thought left his mind did he receive a chime from your comm, which he answered in earnest. Your name practically erupted from his lips the second a connection was established.
"Lieutenant, are you alright? Have you made it to an escape pod? If not, please do so immediately."
The both of you were cognizant of the others on the bridge with him, and therefore were unable to speak as you so desperately wished to; the way you could when you were alone together. He watched in horror as the Interdictor moved closer and closer into the rebel cruiser's range while you weakly answered him.
"I can't, Admiral. It's too late for me. I'm...already gone."
On the surface the skin around his eyes only barely tightened, however, on the inside he was absolutely distraught. What exactly had happened to you? Were you attacked by fellow officers? Subdued and imprisoned? Did Konstantine himself-
His train of thought was interrupted at the sight of Commander Sato's vessel abruptly changing course straight for the Interdictor, just as he'd predicted. Chaos and destruction were mere moments away.
"Thrawn..." you whispered, forgetting his moniker of Admiral in your final moments as the noses of each cruiser were about to collide, "... I'm sorry."
His heart dropped into the pit of his stomach. What the others on the bridge had heard was a final apology, but only he understood what you had truly meant to say - I love you.
With that, the vessels crashed into one another and erupted into a series of explosions, the force of the blasts quaking through to the Chimaera as everyone braced themselves in the wake of the fire and the debris ricocheting around in space. Thrawn stumbled as he caught himself against a control panel, allowing what could have been a sob to escape from his throat. He looked out into the chaos before him, his heart breaking over all that had been lost - and it had nothing to do with the ships or the rebels, but everything to do with you. That was it. You were gone.
He maintained his usual demeanor as the action subsided and the bridge was once again under control. The news of a single rebel ship escaping the blockade, the boy Jedi's ship, hardly phased him. It was the farthest thing from his mind as he spoke. "Konstantine was careless. Let us hope he did not undermine my efforts."
It wasn't until all other matters had been attended to and he was finally utterly alone in his office that he allowed himself to break completely. He slumped into his chair and held his face in his hands as he cried for the first time in years; the first time since the last time he'd lost someone dear to him.
The memories of you plagued his mind until he could no longer bear it, forcing himself to suppress the feelings that no longer served him. There was no time for pain, no time for regret. Although he died a little with every passing second yolking the knowledge that he could never say "I love you" back, he continued on with his duties - just as he had always done.
Such was the way Mitth'raw'nuruodo always and forever handled his pain.
~
@yeetussfetus hope this works for you :)

Kallus also struggles with imposter syndrome as he negotiates the whirlpools of Coruscant's high society. Tries to square his oath to root out corruption and treason while also needing to turn a blind eye to the elegant cesspool in which many of Coruscant's elites swim.
He tries to protect his half brother while still staying true to what drove him to become an ISB agent in the first place -- to see justice done and peace restored to a shattered galaxy, political system and economy.

Thrawn: Hmmm. Perhaps, if I had studied Konstantine's personal art collection, namely his myriad artfully taken selfies, I could have factored in his tendency for... narcissistic... endeavours... in battle.

So I couldn’t stay away from Star Wars for about ten minutes after finishing Dark Purge.
And I know I said Cassian and Mara would get their own additional stories, but then the Thrawn book came out, and I saw the Thrawn Funko, and Thrawn Thrawn Thrawn Thrawn Thrawn.
I just, really freaking love Thrawn guys, like I wanna marry Grand Admiral Thrawn I adore him more than Darth Vader at this point. I just wanna give him a Death Star and have him say ‘You may fire when ready.’
But that will never happen.
So for now, here’s a sponsored story about Thrawn, teaming up with Pellaeon, Konstantine, my own OC named Blake Dar’manda, General Maximilian Veers and probably Ahsoka Tano.
Why would he team up with Ahsoka you ask?
Oh because the main villains of this story are Shimrra Jamaane and Onimi. If you don’t know who they are, well you’re going to have your minds blown up, bruised, battered, beaten and otherwise choked to death if this story gets more chapters.
Enjoy Thrawn doing what he was created for people!

After Kallus was discovered to be Fulcrum, Thrawn placed Admiral Kassius Konstantine in command of one of the two Interdictor Cruisers over Atollon. Thrawn ordered him to stay back until he gives the signal. However, Konstantine's patience with Thrawn's riddles was running thin and he moved to intercept Jun Sato's Imperial Light Carrier that has been hijacked by rebels. However, the glory hungry Konstantine fell right in Sato's trap, as Sato and his two remaining crew rammed Phoenix Home into the Interdictor, destroying both ships, killing Konstantine and his crew as well as Jun Sato and his men but enabling Ezra Bridger to escape the system in search of help.

“I care not for your struggles. I will succeed where you and Kallus have failed.” Been wanting to illustrate this ‘cat’ since Episode 1. THE FIFTH BROTHER, TO ADMIRAL KASSIUS KONSTANTINE Fifth Brother was a gray-skinned humanoid male Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire several years before the Battle of Yavin. On the orders of the Emperor, Darth Sidious, the Fifth Brother was dispatched by the Sith Lord Darth Vader to hunt the growing rebellion against the Empire. Does it pass?
No, sadly the first part of the Season 3 premiere does not pass. Sabine and Hera exchange a line of dialogue in the cockpit of the Ghost but they are talking about the late Ughnaught Terba so it doesn’t count.
I’m very excited to start Season 3. As per usual, this is a very strong opener. I love how we are shown straight away how powerful Ezra has become. The scene with him using the Force to control the pilot of the walker remains one of the darker moments of the series.
The animation is much more polished in these last two seasons as well. I love the redesigns for Ezra, Kanan, and Sabine. You can also tell there is a little more detail on the rest of the crew.
Of course, Thrawn is finally here, but I’m glad to finally get Pryce as well. She’s another underrated and despicable Imperial character.
Also Bendu is more awesome every time I rewatch.

star wars aesthetic » governor pryce → Arihnda Pryce was governor of the Lothal Sector, a confident leader, and believer in the Empire. While Lothal was under control, Pryce still wanted to eradicate the rebel threat. To do so, she asked for the Empire’s seventh fleet, citing the need for a commander who “sees a bigger picture.” She later joined Agent Kallus and Admiral Kassius Konstantine – the latter of whom she regarded as a politician more than a tactician – as they traveled to Reklam Station to investigate rebel theft of several Y-Wing Starfighters. Pryce contacted Thrawn, who upon learning the full strength of the rebel force ordered the group to break off their attack and let the rebels escape. Pryce explained to a confused Konstantine that Thrawn had bigger plans than the destruction of a handful of rebels. Pryce would be present aboard the Chimaera as Thrawn held interviews with various officers in his search for the rebel Agent Fulcrum. Kallus, who was in fact Fulcrum, decided to use Thrawn's search to his advantage, and led Yogar Lyste to suspect that Pryce herself was the traitor they were seeking. Pryce later joined Thrawn and Colonel Wullf Yularen in going to interrogate the recently captured Ezra Bridger, only to find that he had escaped. Pryce was eventually dispatched to the Chimaera hangar bay to meet Shuttle TY992, which was carrying the disguised Kanan Jarrus and Captain Rex. She attempted to arrest the pair, but after stunning Kanan and attempting to subdue Rex, she was stunned by Lyste, who was subsequently framed as being Fulcrum. Governor Pryce and Admiral Konstantine attended an urgent meeting with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Grand Moff Tarkin to discuss new information that the Phoenix Squadron and General Jan Dodonna's Massassi group were planning to attack the TIE Defender factories on Lothal. During the meeting, Pryce opined that a coordinate rebel attack was unprecedented. This meeting was a ruse by Thrawn to lure the rebel spy Agent Kallus out of hiding and discover the location of the hidden Chopper Base. Governor Pryce later accompanied Thrawn and the captive Kallus aboard the Star Destroyer Chimaera during the Battle of Atollon. – “They fight so hard to gain so little.”
