Makoto:Zero, she hasn't got caught and honestly, someone else would be paying the fee because I don't have that much money.

Junko:You could always use it from my bank account since I gave you my number.

Makoto:Yeah I know, in this case I would be ok with using, I wouldn't want to leave her to rot in there...but I also wouldn't wanna leave her off the hook either.

Junko:I know.

Makoto:I would think of leaving her there for a bit as punishment, but it could be dangerous...for her and for everyone else because you never know what she's gonna pull.

Junko:I know.

Shuichi:Not really, the most I do is turn a blind eye to what she does, Makoto is there to stop her after all and no one usually gets hurt, she doesn't do really bad things anymore either.

"I hope you're travels weren't am issue, I know City of Tempest can be very rough since we're the furthest of all the nations here. " he said as he walks and moves showing her a place to sit, he looks at her as he can easily tell she was nervous but he didn't bring it up because she was being strong for her kingdom

Would one of them just brainwash the other into despair?

or would both of them love the concept of despair so much, they eventually would want to spread it to their classmates? 🤔

Let’s see, CrazyNekoChan made a Mastermind!soudam on AO3 that I love, but it was MM!Gundham that brainwashed everyone including Kazuichi who was also the MM in the planning stages.

I love either one being the Mastermind because whoo! The power dynamics! My first watch of a silent play through (I didn’t have game consoles at the time rip) I was DREADING being Kazuichi being the MM but it would’ve been a genius move - the supposedly simp mechanic being so absorbed by a pretty girl; who would think he was a calculating murder mastermind behind this killing game?

But back to the question: my answer would be a little mixture of both HOWEVER it would depend on who is Ultimate Despair:

If it’s Gundham, he would want to make Kazuichi see the true depravity of humanity. He feels like his Ultimate talent has opened himself to the real state of the world and humanity and it is as horrible and unrepentant as he always knew it was. Making Kazuichi and his best friend/student Sonia see this truth is a mercy - for they will not be lead astray by these tainted humans any longer.

He of course experimented on a few first years - you can’t bake a cake without cracking a few eggs and he made a mess of several…dozen. But he was able to create the perfect program that was as humane as possible (note: that didn’t involve invasive surgery or injury). He found the Kamakura Program and used the lab and Izuru was freed in exchange for helping him.

Sonia was his first official start and well…something went slightly wrong. However, she came out of it 99.9% intact and has had her third eye opened s he counted it a success. With Kazuichi, he took his time. His vibrant hell flower was surprisingly resilient in the first stages.

But he learned after Sonia and it was most unfortunate that it took so long. He needed to take his time with his beloved and the end result was truly worth it.

He thinks of making his fellow classmates see the light as well, but the method is so difficult to do in a larger scale and Izuru was calculating months for it to be at that large of a scale. That was too long and he had the two important people in his life. He can destroy the world with three people. The others can be spared…for now.

Now! If it was Kazuichi, he would’ve had production done for large scale projects much faster.

He would see the bigger picture, like Junko, and wanted his friends to be apart of this. He finds Izuru and promises him freedom and an obedient slave (Nagito) in return for his help which make Izuru help only because it’s Nagito. He experimented on Fuyuhiko’s little sister and that other reserve course student first, but sadly the other student killed Nazumi before she could be completely turned to Despair.

He made sure the test subject suffer before Fuyuhiko killed her. He was also furthering his experimentation by introducing it to certain individuals via drink, food or airborne. Granted, he’s not the Ultimate Chemist, but Izuru has been a real help!

But his most important task, was getting Gundham, Akane and Chiaki. Sonia would follow Gundham and Chiaki like a duckling - she’d only be perfect as a money and material distributor. Akane and Chiaki were his sisters basically and he needed their loyalty.

And for Gundham…well. Love makes people want that special someone close at hand. And Gundham was closer - even if that was because he had him chained downed for his special version of the formula.

It was a shame about Chiaki, but losing her made the Despair so much sweeter as he lamented her loss. Oh well. Some things are truly not to be it seemed. But he had the rest of his class to get together and administer the final step. And poor Gundham needed extra attention. Chiaki’s body can be handled later.

The problem with playing Danganronpa and also following Poketubers is that now I'm considering a Pokemon: Danganronpa version, populated with all of your favorite (and not) characters from the franchise!

Junko's the Champion. Because of course she is.

Monokuma runs the evil team (Team Despair?), but there's clearly a mastermind behind him (again, Junko as Champion, similar to Giovanni but like. not the same).

I debate whether Junko should also be your rival. Because then you don't have to run into the weird complications of "why is the adult leader of this major organization kow-towing to a child" issue.

Mikan is Nurse Joy and is at every Pokémon Center.

Kirigiri runs around with you while you take down the organization (like Lance does in Gold).

Different people are Gym Leaders or the Elite Four. (I debate whether the Fragments should be scattered between the Elite Four and Team Despair - the idea of Nagito definitely being on Team Despair and maybe being the Admin? Maybe?)

Ibuki has an Electric team.

Kazuichi has a Steel team.

Celeste should have a Psychic team but really has a Dark team.

Takahiro should have a Psychic team but probably isn't a Gym Leader or anything. I feel like he's a random NPC who you do stuff with but isn't someone you battle.

Sakura and Akane have Fighting teams. One of them is in the Elite Four, one is a Gym Leader.

Thoughts on Sayaka Maizono?

Yes, Maizono has been one of my favorite characters for a whole decade now and almost certainly the one I spent the most time arguing with strangers online over and explaining to people who failed to understand her story. She's always been very dear to me and has been on my mind a lot this week specifically due to Tobyn's new video, Miss Crane coming to NA, and most of all due to the success of Oshi no Ko's anime.

I could talk about her in isolation but with the apropos timing of this ask, I'm far more inclined to talk about her in relation to Ai Hoshino. No one can deny the two are extremely similar. It's plain to see that they share a lot in appearance, profession, and on-stage personality, but the similarities go a bit deeper with their cunning approach to idol work and the driving loneliness that put them in the idol career in the first place. The two beautifully mix dream and disillusion, facing the ugliness of their roads with no sugarcoating and still holding the conviction that what lies ahead of it is worth it. Really, the only thing setting them apart is the teenage pregnancy and Maizono being smart while Ai is kinda dumb.

But beyond their personality and background, the two blue idols shine the most as golden examples of how to write a rich and complete character with minimal screentime. On this aspect, Ai is even more impressive because Maizono's writing resorts to portraying her as an extreme workaholic, so we feel we know all of her because we're shown the basket where she puts all of her eggs, while Ai goes beyond playing her part without such narrative tricks, she's straight up rejects the trick by showing Ai ambitiously distributing her time as both an idol and a mother.

Anyways, back on the Danganronpa track. As the first victim, Maizono has the immensely important role of setting the tone for the rest of the series. She gets this honest and natural charm when not backed against the wall, this tight backstory tied directly to her motive, this barely hidden cunningness playing into her comedy as much as it's played into her murder attempt, this complete agency even as a murder victim, and the sympathy the narrative offers even after the worst is exposed. Danganronpa takes every measure it can take to respect Maizono as a person and as a character, and it is because of that respect that the player could trust Danganronpa to be a narrative that doesn't treat its cast as a disposable row of suspects that don't need to be fleshed out. She is what makes you first realize that Danganronpa will be something special.

And from a final mystery perspective, that's the first key to suspect that there's something more about Junko's punishment that the player has yet to see.

Back to the Oshi no Ko side of things, you can see Ai play a similar role in building reader trust. Sure, her circumstances are different because Oshi no Ko wasn't planned as a revenge drama, but she's perfect as the avenged party in a revenge drama because we're made to know Ai very dearly. We connect to Aqua's relationship with Ai because we experienced the beginning, middle, and end of their bond. In hindsight, this kind of treatment feels almost mandatory for any self-respecting revenge story.

Anyways, both are fleshed out as a main character during their short run time, given a multifaceted narrative place and perspective, and never forgotten when they're gone. They never stop being a part of what makes the protagonist who they are. One thing that never fails to warm my heart is how all Danganronpa sequels make a point to show how Maizono was the most memorable part of the first game to Naegi.

Cliff notes of the story of Humanity in Oddworld

Many years in the future, earth has become to polluted to live on. So humanity decides instead of using their amazing technology to fix it, they decide to up and leave Earth and find a new planet to call home.

So they round up the brightest and most brilliant people humanity has to offer and have them build a MASSIVE spacecraft that would be capable of carrying all of humanity through the stars to their new home.

One of the scientists who worked on the ark was a scientist named Celestia Redglare, who had previously created the philosophy known as "Homosuperiority", the belief that humanity are the only lifeforms of its kind, and therefore are the top dogs of the universe. She developed this philosophy during a period known as The Great Isolation (a period of extensive nihilism and despair from humanity coming to the conclusion that they were alone in the universe) to counter the sheer hopelessness she saw around her, urging humanity to take pride in its lonely existence as they were, in her words, "The heir apparent to the stars!"

By the time of the ark's completion, mankind had widely adopted her philosophy and she would go down in history as one of the greatest minds humanity had ever seen, and she was even offered a spot as a Block admin on the ark. She declined though, mostly because she was dying of an incurable disease that she had kept hidden from the public. She died shortly before the Odyessy departed.

But mankind couldn't pick any old planet to live on though, since even with their advanced tech, terraforming would still take an extremely long time. They needed a planet that was A) the same size as earth with similar gravity, B) had an atmosphere made up of oxygen, and C) had an environment close enough to earth that it would be able to support terrestrial life.

So it's no surprise that the Odyessy's space trek spanned many, many centuries and multiple generations.

At some point millions of years since the Odyessy left earth, one of Redglare's descendants, a man named Tomas Johnson gets married to a woman named Junko Shiromiya and they would have three daughters. Helia, Tina, and Minerva-Margot, or better known by her nickname, Mingot.

They had a completely normal life until one day, a woman named Quatherine Diamond, the current CEO of the ark's largest supplier of goods, Diamond Corp. staged a hostile takeover of the ship. She believed that they would never find a new planet, and intended to take control of the ship and return to earth.

The whole ship was put on lockdown; no one could get in and no one could get out! Quatherine ordered her soldiers to gun down ANYONE who even showed the slightest bit of resistance, no matter who or how old they were.

Amidst the chaos, Junko and Tomas grabbed their now only living daughter, Mingot, and took her to a secret escape stasis pod room that only members of high-ranking bloodlines could enter use. Tomas's plan was for him, Junko, and Mingot to all get in the stasis pods, escape, and eventually reunite on their new planet. But just as Mingot was launched from the ship, the last thing she saw before falling into stasis was a group of armed men bursting into the room, pointing their guns at her parents...

experience in RP — Since 2003, so it's been 20 freaking years now of on and off RP life. Feeling old now. I started on xanga as Bankotsu from Inuyasha. It was a lawless RP land back then. Everyone god modded and one lined, but it was a grand time. My Bankotsu got so many of those sacred jewel shards.

best experiences — I have many. The first days of RP were certainly some of them. I actually met quite a few people from RP in RL. I would say the best of the best was when I met a group of Danganranpa RPers on anirp, and we did different story-lines all together. The one guy made up stories and events for the characters. I was Gundham. We also did the despair storyline which I think was my favorite, because I was able to do despair Gundham and made such a great backstory and I got so many compliments from the group on how I portrayed him(I guess he was pretty similar to the joker according to some.) I got my own event where i tried to kill all the other remnants with my animal army. We also did a really fun persona storyline. I got to be the fem p3 protag and had a love triangle with Shinji and Akihiko. ;) There was some drama with the group, and the leader talked a lot of crap cause I was busy and missed a lot of events though, so I ended up leaving.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — My number one is the one thing I will block you for: If you ask for a starter and then never reply. I have very little time to write and I can't stand people wasting my time. Another is drama of course. I come to RP as an escape, not for more stress. It also annoys me if someone posts a starter call and I like it, but get ignored. Why did you follow me back if you don't want to RP?

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Fluff and angst are by far my two favorite genres. I love the corny, romantic slow burn more than anything. Romance is dead irl and I need some kind of fantasy outlet since I'm a hopeless romantic. I also just love angst cause it causes conflict and helps the characters develop, and I just live for the drama. Besides, after the hurt, comes the comfort. My other favorite genre is dark. I love writing dark things. Junko is a good outlet for that, and I'd love to write despair Gundham sometimes. Also Dark Mikey. Smut, I'm pretty good at writing it, but I need a solid storyline and a slow burn romance that leads up to it. Except maybe for Junko.

plot or memes — I honestly usually just wing stuff haha. I've posted memes but people generally don't send them to start new storylines with me. Since I'm shy, I don't typically approach people to try and plot either v.v But both are great when they happen.

long or short replies — I prefer stuff typically on the longer side(If you can't tell by my blog). I would say my typical replies are 3 paragraphs or so, but I can go longer. I really like to flesh out my muses and their thoughts. I don't expect people to keep up though.

best time to write — Weekends by far. Lately I haven't had time to do anything on my weekdays. Work has been crazy busy so I haven't been able to use the work computer for replies. I work two jobs and commute over 2 hours everyday, (and go to the gym 3 days a week), so I just don't have much time for anything during the week.

are you like your muse — I typically do characters that are vastly different from myself, because I feel like that's the most fun for me. Some similarities though:

I love animals(I'm a vet assistant), and I typically dress goth/alt like Gundham

I tend to be impulsive like Mikey

I'm quite air headed, ditzy, and naive like Fubuki(Not to that extreme at least, but a little bit.)

I tend to be logical, cold, and distant like Makoto. I'm also terrible at asking for help, feeling I have to be the rock and do everything myself. I have to always be strong for everyone else, and never show any weakness.

I have a really rough past full of abuse like Benedikta, and am always fighting an internal darkness.

Warriors of Hope acting as admins to an evil team that Trainer Komaru has to battle through to save Towa City? I imagine that they all have a Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution. Masaru is a fire-type trainer with Mega Charizard X. Jataro specializes in normal-types and although he has a Smeagle as a partner, he doesn't ever send it into battle, and his Mega is a Pidgeot. Kotoko likes fairy-types, and she and her Sylveon named Madoka love each other a lot. Madoka will fight tooth and claw for Kotoko in battle, but when things go bad, Kotoko has a Mega Mawile as a bit of a last resort. Nagisa is a psychic-type specialist with a Mega Alakazam, and last but certainly not least, Monaca likes dark- and grass-types, but has a very varied team, with her ace (and let's be honest, the only Pokemon on her team she cares for beyond the bare minimum) being a Mega Houndoom named after Junko.

Since I know this is a bit of a tall order, I'm giving you the liberty of splitting it up into two posts; one for more generalized stuff, and one detailing more specific stuff for each Warrior.

Okay, so Komaru didn’t mean to get herself and Toko involved with saving a whole city while on her journey. All she’d wanted to do was see the region! Was that so much to ask?

Toko wasn’t the battling kind of trainer, though, so it mostly fell to Komaru to fight through the admins of the evil team- who all, somehow, were children with surprisingly strong pokemon.

Like, she wasn’t the best battler out there, especially against Mega Evolution! So she really had to strategize and rely on her partners to do whatever they could to help her get through them.

Toko did help wherever she could, though that was mostly in healing Komaru’s pokemon or even lending her own for Komaru to command, since Toko wasn’t familiar with battle strategies for the most part.

It was hard, but she had to push through it all! She couldn’t let the city just be overtaken by a bunch of kids who probably didn’t know the full extent of the consequences for their actions.
