What day was it when kisaki k-d chifuyu and adult kazutora saved Takemichi?

Right this is about to get complicated so everyone be prepared for that. So firstly we need to acknowledge what day it wasn't, the manga actually has a mistake here since Takemichi's phone shows the date as being the 18th of November.

This is false, Emma's birthday which is the 25th of November happened before the leap. And we know Takemichi can only time leap to the exact day it is. There's also a few other reasons why this date doesn't make sense but we'll get to those later. So what day is it? Now we don't get any other dates here but what we do get are clues which we can use to work it out. To do that we need to start here.

Ok so Christmas eve is the 24th of December, a week before Christmas eve is the 17th of December, we know Takemichi met with Hina on the 17th of December. We also know the day before this is when a whole bunch of things happened. Toman had a meeting early on when the sky was blue, Mitsuya went to go meet Taiju, the sun was just starting to set at this point, then Mitsuya and Mikey go meet Yuzuha while the other admins have their meeting, it's now the evening. The not yet Hanma's attend karaoke, run into Koko, go their own ways but quickly meet up again to form the Hanma's, it's dark at this point. This happened the day before, the 16th of December.

But the important part of that is toman's meeting, because there Draken says this.

That means 4 days before the 16th is when Takemichi time leaped back. So most likely the 13th of December (possibly the 12th). The day Takemichi time leaps is the day Kazutora saves him from Kisaki, they literally watch the sunrise together on the 13th of December.

That means the evening before is most likely the 12th of December and the day Chifuyu dies.

Summary:

While reveling in the successful clinching of a prized vase for his collection, Yoshifumi Nitta, a yakuza member, is rudely interrupted when a large, peculiar capsule suddenly materializes and falls on his head. He opens the capsule to reveal a young, blue-haired girl, who doesn't divulge anything about herself but her name—Hina—and the fact that she possesses immense powers. As if things couldn't get any worse, she loses control and unleashes an explosion if her powers remain unused. Faced with no other choice, Nitta finds himself becoming her caregiver.

Hina, who is a psychic metaphor for autism ala Mob but imo better. She’s not only a weirdgirl who’s friends are almost all other strange girls, but she’s also into stuff that is just so either unfitting for her age or she’s just really intense about.

Nitta, who deserves all the fangirls and husbando-ing that every other random guy in anime gets. He’s a bachelor who loves pottery and can cook so well that Hina convinces her friends they have a gourmet chef working for them. He’s also a yakuza and is beloved by the aniki for being incredibly tough and scary. (He is gentle as hell with Hina.)

Propaganda 2:

Hinamatsuri is an absolutely hilarious anime with some of the best comic timing I’ve ever seen. It’s so funny, the various girls are such nonsense.

Hina starts as a violent blank slate and develops into a lazy greedy horrible little gremlin. Anzu starts as a prideful edgy rival but eventually becomes a wholesome overly grateful insecure mess. Hitomi is forced to become more and more competent, independent, and adult because she can't stand up for herself and say no to people asking her for favors.

Nitta is a fantastic viewpoint character because he outwardly takes so much in stride that it’s easy to forget how annoyed and stressed everything makes him until he snaps.

Trigger Warnings: There is child nudity, but only for a Terminator reference. There is some comedic child neglect and slapstick. There is a child who is homeless, but it’s treated very sensitively.

#E3: Mawaru Penguindrum

Summary:

For the Takakura family, destiny is an ever-spinning wheel, pointing passionately in their direction with equal tides of joy and sorrow before ticking on to the next wishmaker. With their parents gone, twin brothers Kanba and Shouma live alone with their beloved little sister Himari, whose poor health cannot decline any further.

On the day Himari is given permission to temporarily leave the hospital, her brothers take her out to the aquarium to celebrate, where the family's supposed fate is brought forth with her sudden collapse. However, when Himari is inexplicably revived by a penguin hat from the aquarium's souvenir shop, the hand of fate continues to tick faithfully forward.

Do you like weird artsy stuff? Do you love magical girls? How about weird, messed up character dynamics? Then boy oh boy, Mawaru Penguindrum is the show for you! The show starts out funny enough, but will quickly spiral into an intense and intricate plot, involving fate, the mafia, magical destiny-rewriting spells, and penguins. Which yes, before you ask, the funny penguins are in fact plot relevant.

Penguindrum isn’t really a show about all that stuff though, even though it is. It’s a very symbolic story, about living under the crushing heel of capitalism, and the quiet poison of the societally expected nuclear family dynamic. I could write an essay on each and every single one of the characters, as they’re all given a lot of depth and time to grow. Every character has their own baggage that, one way or another, ties back to someone else. Everyone in this show is connected in some way shape or form, and that’s really highlighted when everything starts to fall apart. Be warned: this show is NOT a light watch! If you’re the type of person who gets really into deciphering symbolism and creating your own meaning from pieces of media, then this show is for you!

it was a late night, the crescent moon barely illuminating the dark, empty street you walked on. you speedwalked down the sidewalk, counting the minutes until you'd get home, slightly on edge. you hadn't expected to leave hina's house so late, but you had gotten distracted in a deep conversation with her, leading you to where you are now. matter of fact, you hadn't even expected to be walking home today.

chifuyu stayed the night at your house the previous day, so when you woke up, the first sound to grace your ears was chifuyu whining for you to wake up, so that the two of you could go hang out like you planned. and that you did, you two spent hours riding on his bike, popping in to stores you knew you didn't have the money to shop in, and relishing in one another's presence.

but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and chifuyu got a call from a fellow tokyo manji admin, alerting him that there's an emergency meeting at the shrine.

"i'm so sorry, but i can't miss this meeting or else i'm never gonna hear the end of it from draken." he sighed, rolling his eyes in annoyance. the taller had said he would beat chifuyu's ass if he were to miss another meeting or arrive late to one because he was hanging out with you, jokingly of course. hopefully.

"don't worry, i understand." you assured him, gently kissing his temple, causing him to redden. how he always gets so flustered at such a simple gesture, you'll never understand. "you can just drop me off at hinata's, i don't want you to be late to the meeting."

"shouldn't i just take you home? it's gonna get dark soon," he worried, not wanting anything to happen to you. he gets very paranoid when you're without him, especially with rising gang conflicts, chifuyu would never forgive himself if something were to happen to you. "i'll be fine, quit worrying so much." you assured him. it warms your heart that he cares so much for you, but at the same time its somewhat saddening, how he spends so much energy concerning for your safety.

hesitantly, chifuyu took you to hina's. "see you tomorrow," you smile, "call me when you get home." he asks of you, as to make himself feel better. without that reassurance of your safety, he wouldn't be able to get any sleep that night. you give him a smile, kissing him once more before you go off to hina's apartment. you sigh as naoto opens to door for you and you hear the motorcycle revving away.

you were really starting to regret not taking chifuyu up on his offer to take you home, especially when you weren't used to walking home by yourself, let alone at night. chills ran up your spine for every twig you stepped on, for every animal's call you heard, and every figure you saw go by ahead. you start to think about the things you've heard on the news lately, your nerves rose.

as you're in your head, you hear steps behind you. at the speed of light, you whipped your head behind you to see a boy walking behind you, one that seemed the same age as you. he had his hands in his pockets, and a confident pep in his step. you're you've seen him at school, or somewhere else, before, but you couldn't be sure. even as you start to walk faster, you hear his steps get more repetitive, and loud. you could've swore you heard him say your name, but your head was too clouded in fear to think into it.

when a corner store nears, you quickly ran straight into it, whipping your phone out, typing out chifuyu's phone number like clockwork, you knew the sequence of digits like the back of your hand.

"did you get home?"

"no. 'm walking. there's a guy following me. please come get me." you almost feel selfish, a bit dumb, for making chifuyu come get you when he'd insisted on taking you home earlier. he paused, his mind suddenly running a mile a minute.

"where are you at?"

you thought for a moment, looking around. you were initially unsure, since you'd ran into the building so quick. thankfully you recognize the interior signs, letting him know where you're at.

"i'll be there. don't worry, babe." you can just tell he felt so cool saying that, making you smile despite your anxiety.

only chifuyu is able to make your worries wash away so fast, the sound of his bike revving sounding like music to you when you finally hear it coming closer, letting you know your hero is here, to save the day once again.

In the Yandere Tengen + wives with a pregnant reader, when you mentioned that they didn’t really consider that the baby would take up a lot of the reader’s attention after being born and while growing up, it got me wondering how dynamics change after the baby arrives? Who would adjust in a positive way to help raise the child or who would be bitter? Would they raise the child to be normal or would child also turn out to be a Yandere? So many possibilities!

because of the insane amount of possibilities, I’m just going to answer this rather than do full hcs!

I feel like no matter what, reader and Hinatsuru would end up caring for the baby more than the others. The two of you would likely be the primary caretakers although Tengen likes to include himself often as well. Makio doesn’t like babies, so she’d be a more active parent once they hit age 6. Suma is very jealous of the little thing, and likely always will be. The girls all love cooing over babies, but this is a little different because of your involvement.

Hinatsuru is the only one that’s entirely genuine in her excitement for the baby. To her, this further makes you a family and that’s all she wants. She never gets jealous nor sees the baby as competition, although she does wish she had more alone time with you. She’s very motherly and patient; not very likely to pass on yandere traits to the baby but does pass on her overprotective tendencies.

Tengen is a pretty active father, but he does get jealous of the baby sometimes. He proposes just leaving them with Hina so he can take you off somewhere for a bit, but you always say no. He gets much more involved once the little one starts moving around and becoming athletic. He pushes every aspect of his personality and tendencies onto his child, and some of it is on purpose.

Makio hates the sound of babies crying, she doesn’t hate babies in general. But this baby is stealing your attention and she doesn’t care for it. She ends up coming around once the kid can carry conversations with her and they have the potential to become rather close. Her personality had an impact during the developmental stage, where she babysat a lot. Passes on some aggressive behavior but that’s about it; she doesn’t express much else.

Suma starts out jealous from the very beginning, no matter how cute she thinks the baby is. She views it as competition despite her love for them. She kind of ignores the baby for the most part, in favor of clinging onto you instead. But when you’re not around, she loves the baby and treats them quite sweetly. They’re a very funny duo once the little one hits middle school age. Definitely passes down some yandere tendencies oops (not on purpose at all).

Overall, parenting with these four can be very chaotic and stressful with the jealousy, especially at first. It becomes something that goes down in severity as the child gets a little older. Toddler age is definitely the worst. When they get to maybe 6-8, that’s when everyone gets equally involved as a parent. It’s chaotic then too, but less because of jealousy and more because your child is now possessive of you, with a quick temper and lots of confidence.

(also I think the baby would be a boy, but I’m not gonna get into that)

Takemichi & Takemitchy 

My biggest problem with Tokyo Revengers is that I don’t fully understand the time-leaping process.

I always wondered what happen to the Takemichi of the past when Takemitchy (of the future) take over his body. I mean, every time the timeline change, the Takemichi that have lived during that 12 years disappear to leave his body to Takemitchy? Is Takemichi (of the past) okay with that?

Technically, if you have the chance to go back to the past (well, realistically is impossible, but this is fiction), there is nothing wrong to try to change your future to make it better.

I’m used to this trope, but this is the first manga where the MC can move between past and future. The other stories I read (like Re Zero), the protagonist is only able to go back to the past.

And since some characters are aware of Takemitchy’s ability, how do they feel about Takemichi?

It’s a pity that this theme has not been explored, so I came to the conclusion that the time-leaping is a device/process for Takemitchy to shape his life.

Takemitchy started time-leaping with the purpose to save Hina from death. By doing so, he also get revenge on the regrets of his past life.

When he was a child, Takemichi wasn’t a coward. Hina, Akkun and Kakucho see in him a hero.

In particular, since Kakucho and Takemitchy met after many years and Kakucho said that “Takemichi hasn’t changed a bit from when they were children”, I think that the current Takemitchy is what Takemichi was meant to be if he hadn’t have been traumatized.

The original Takemichi ran away from everything after middle school. The Takemichi of the past was bound to follow the same path if Takemitchy hadn’t intervened with this fate.

The first obstacle was to confront Kiyomasa and put an end to his enslavement. This would have been enough to have a better future, if Takemitchy hadn’t involved himself with Toman.

I’m convinced that past Takemichi is aware of Takemitchy existence. I want to believe that past Takemichi is conscious of the future, too. The more about the future he knows, the more Takemitchy and Takemichi destiny align.

Takemitchy is the one that have experienced all the bad future on his person, but Takemichi has some kind of awareness on a knowledge level.

Let’s analyze every step:

After saving Draken and defeated Kiyomasa, Takemichi life in the future hasn’t changed much. I think that he end up escaping from Toman after witnessing the Valhalla incident, where both Baji and Kazutora died. He also break up with Hina because he was under pressure because of her father.

In the post Valhalla timeline, Takemichi became a Toman admin because in the past he was appointed division captain by Chifuyu. He break up with Hina anyway and that’s likely made him vulnerable to Kisaki schemes. As a matter of fact, he got corrupted and in the future he ordered Akkun to kill Hina.

In the post Christmas future, Takemichi left Toman on his own will. He realized that Toman was degenerating, but since he couldn’t do anything, he escape.

So, with every timeline, Takemichi (past) became more mature and similar to Takemitchy. But we have to take in consideration that past Takemichi has lived for 12 years before Takemitchy return to the future. It’s a lot of time and things change.

And also, every time Takemitchy leave the past, past Takemichi probably think that he succeed in achieving a better future.

What I think is that past Takemichi can empathize with Takemitchy and wants to help him to avoid the bad futures, but he fails and end up distancing from the problems because it’s the easiest thing to do.

Takemitchy and Takemichi are the same person, after all. I don’t like the idea of Takemichi having no idea about his surrounding when Takemitchy is inside his body.

Another thing that concern me is Naoto situation. With every change of timeline, Naoto memories get rewritten. But what exactly happen to him? His life doesn’t change drastically like it happen with Takemichi, but, well, how does his life change?

Looking things from past Takemichi POV:

In a normal day, he got a “prediction” of his future. At the beginning, he didn’t believe it, but the ”prediction” turn out to be true. However, he can’t do anything to change his fate because he has already been traumatized.

When Takemitchy saved Draken, Takemichi thought that he has succeed and that he will have a better life. But he was wrong because Valhalla happened and he break up with Hina.

After breaking up with Hina, Takemichi, now a member of Toman, get corrupted by Kisaki live anyone else. He probably tried to resist Kisaki, but in the end he gave up.

When Kisaki got fired, Takemichi thought that the future is safe and kept following Mikey. Unfortunately, Kisaki used Izana to corrupt Mikey. Takemichi noticed that the course of events would led to a bad future, but he was too late to do something and his only option was to leave Toman.

So, if Takemichi is aware of Takemitchy and all the futures, although on a superficial level, I think he his okay with leaving his life to Takemitchy. They are the same person and share the same values.

In some ways, Takemitchy has saves his past self, as well, from an unhappy and lonely life.

One last thing… If Takemichi was not aware of Takemitchy, he would have no idea about proposing to Hina.

In Bonten timeline, Hina, Draken and Chifuyu said that they were waiting for Takemitchy to come back from the past… but that doesn’t mean that Takemichi got replaced by Takemitchy.

Takemitchy is an irreplaceable part of Takemichi. From Takemichi point of view, every time Takemitchy possess him, it’s like he have an epiphany.

This is how I interpret the time leaping factor in Takemichi life.

Best Underrated Anime Group E Round 1: #E2 vs #E7

#E2: Psychic girl is adopted by Yakuza. Hijinks ensue.

While reveling in the successful clinching of a prized vase for his collection, Yoshifumi Nitta, a yakuza member, is rudely interrupted when a large, peculiar capsule suddenly materializes and falls on his head. He opens the capsule to reveal a young, blue-haired girl, who doesn't divulge anything about herself but her name—Hina—and the fact that she possesses immense powers. As if things couldn't get any worse, she loses control and unleashes an explosion if her powers remain unused. Faced with no other choice, Nitta finds himself becoming her caregiver.

#E7: Teenage boys use empathy to solve problems for youkai.

Without realizing it, a high schooler named Ashiya Hanae shows kindness to a youkai and is subsequently possessed by it on the first day of class. The spirit clings to his shoulder, making him progressively sicker each day. After a week of collapsing on his way into school, Ashiya notices a “Help Wanted” flyer for an exorcism service in the nurse’s office. Desperate, he calls the service, only to find that it is run by his grumpy classmate.

Abeno Haruitsuki prefers youkai to humans, sleeps through class, and is the master of a sentient tea room called the Mononokean, where youkai come for help with their problems. It turns out that they’re mostly benign, and exorcising them to the Underworld is safer for them. Ashiya convinces Abeno to exorcise the spirit possessing him, but Abeno demands he work part-time for the Mononokean as repayment. Abeno’s intimate knowledge of the spirit world and Ashiya’s empathetic nature form a great contrast as they work together.

Hinamatsuri is about…

Hina, who is a psychic metaphor for autism ala Mob but imo better. She’s not only a weirdgirl who’s friends are almost all other strange girls, but she’s also into stuff that is just so either unfitting for her age or she’s just really intense about.

Nitta, who deserves all the fangirls and husbando-ing that every other random guy in anime gets. He’s a bachelor who loves pottery and can cook so well that Hina convinces her friends they have a gourmet chef working for them. He’s also a yakuza and is beloved by the aniki for being incredibly tough and scary. (He is gentle as hell with Hina.)

A bunch of other weird girls (Admin: this part of the propaganda has been cut due to possible spoilers)

Propaganda 2:

Hinamatsuri is an absolutely hilarious anime with some of the best comic timing I’ve ever seen. It’s so funny, the various girls are such nonsense.

Hina starts as a violent blank slate and develops into a lazy greedy horrible little gremlin. Anzu starts as a prideful edgy rival but eventually becomes a wholesome overly grateful insecure mess. Hitomi is forced to become more and more competent, independent, and adult because she can't stand up for herself and say no to people asking her for favors.

Nitta is a fantastic viewpoint character because he outwardly takes so much in stride that it’s easy to forget how annoyed and stressed everything makes him until he snaps.

Trigger Warnings: There is child nudity, but only for a Terminator reference. There is some comedic child neglect and slapstick. There is a child who is homeless, but it’s treated very sensitively.

#E7: The Morose Mononokean (Fukigen na Mononokean)

[Admin: Submitter had linked the season 2 trailer—which also happens to be blocked in my country. I’m replacing it with the s1 trailer, but it sadly does not have any subs. But if you’ve read the summary, then the trailer is easy to understand.]

Propaganda:

The Morose Mononokean is a beautifully written and animated coming-of-age story— with youkai, which can only ever make a piece of media better. The characters, both human and youkai, are fully three-dimensional, and although there isn’t much of an overarching plot in the first season/early manga chapters, the episodic stories contribute to the growth of both Ashiya and Abeno; their juxtaposed methods of problem-solving, and the way they affect and learn from each other’s perspectives as they become closer, are very satisfying both to analyze and to experience on an emotional level. Beyond the writing, the art is outstanding as well. The designs for the youkai characters are frequently adorable, occasionally terrifying, and always quite original, brilliantly incorporating characteristics of existing creatures in novel ways. The occasional visits to the Underworld are always a visual treat, with vibrant colors and a unique animation style painting the backdrop. Both the art and the characters are delightful and moving, and the OP is a banger. As a connoisseur of urban fantasy, Fukigen na Mononokean’s focus on emotion over action has made it my all-time favorite anime in the genre.

Pero since ako yung permanent rnt na nilalagay lagi sa office, tas katabi pa ng ticketing yung department nila, medyo naging close ko rin sila. Tsaka lagi rin kasi akong narereport sa legal haha. Kaya mas open ako sakanya kesa sa ibang tao sa department nila. Mas kaya ko mag labas sakanya ng mga hinaing ko about sa work or kawork ko kasi nakikinig talaga siya at iniintindi yung pinang gagalingan ko. Para nga siyang therapist ko dun sa work e. Haha. Pati nung last year nung nag lockdown sakanya rin ako lumalapit para ilabas lahat ng reklamo namin sa companya haha. Kaya nga siguro wala pa akong duty ngayon e haha. Kahit ganito ako sobrang pasaway, ang lakas ko parin talaga sakanya.

So ayun na nga, binabawi ko narin tuloy yung hate ko last year sa company namin. Kailangan ko lang pala talaga lumapit sa mga tamang tao. Knowing na floating employee pa rin ako ngayon, nakakatuwa na I’m still able to get the benefits. Huhu.

Daichi be the head honcho, I’m sure we’ve been known

He’s cool and collected, normally very level headed and able to handle the chaotic shit his fellow group mates cause (*cough* tanaka noya hina kage *cough*)

His skill set is a wide variety, but his specialty is close combat.

Besides Sugawara, he’s the one to quickly defuse any situation that arises from their group whenever one of them acts...rowdy

But don’t get me wrong, these boys know very well when their boss is ready to blow up and always find excuses to be out of his way. (out of sight out of mind amiright?)

“Are you fucking shitting me? This is the 3rd time this week that I’ve gotten a messy report coming back from you two!”

Irritated and tired, Daichi slammed the heavy file onto the antique table. His lean form melting into the chair as he let out a heavy and slow sigh before finally letting his gaze fall onto the two bowed heads before him.

“I want you both to explain to me in detail how you managed to, not only get yourselves injured, but how in the absolute fuck did you guys make literal chunks of our target rain over 5th street.”

Sugawara is 1/2 of the brain and tactics in their rag tag team of misfits

Acts like the motherly hen around the rookies, but can be just as terrifying as Daichi when ticked off

There can only be so much he can take as 1/2 of the brains and tactics of their little group.

As expected he handles the tactical planning for upcoming missions

and tends to get highly irate when none of his members listen or follow through a very simple phase of his plan

scares a lot of people shitless when he gives them The Smile ™

Made Asahi cry on their first meeting after he bore witness to The Smile ™

His main strong point in regards to fighting is blade wielding.

Dislikes the use of guns, but will use them if he has to.

Relishes in ending a very irritating target’s demise

Is also the group’s main medic

“Did you really think you’d be able to actually get away that easily?” A mocking laugh danced through the tense air as piercing russet eyes settled on the trembling man before the blood splattered figure.

The begging man’s allies laid in disarray on the floor in various forms of ‘sleep’ as the silver haired male meandered closer.

“I applaud you. You and your rats have given us something to actually do. Of course that doesn’t excuse the fact that my team wasn’t competent enough to follow through with the first phase of our plan.” A sharp, yet brief glance at the squawk of blame between the two bickering members in his assigned team had him repressing the urge to whack both upside the heads.

“Now then...let’s go ahead and have a little...chat. I’d love to hear how you got information on our group...”

Appearance wise, Sugawara is just a couple of centimetres below Daichi’s height

Unlike Daichi, Sugawara is a lot more lean muscle with scars littering his body

Has only one tattoo at the nape of his neck

Is usually the one on clean up duty after the rookies weak havoc on their latest target

is very doting on his s/o

when the rest of the team saw this version of Sugawara they all thought that Kiyoko had laced their food with some crazy drug

Sugawara gives them all a look as they theorize what was happening before them

he likes to cuddle s/o when they sleep it helps keep the nightmares away

likes to take s/o out on normal dates whenever he can

Little do we know Asahi is a part of information collector and clean up duty

Which in short yis, he be part of torture club SKSK

Granted he doesn’t partake in a lot of it. His look of indifference does help set tension and fear into the victim though

ya know, since he always be assumed to be a terrifying big ol man

Is part of the clean up team, and helps keep Sugawara level-headed and calm as they discover just how much ‘fun’ the younger members of their group had when they were getting rid of their target

Tends to also be the voice of reason when Sugawara or Daichi are about ready to skin the young crows alive

“Are you-- Asahi are you fucking seeing this shit?! I’m going to wring their necks...”

Chuckling, the man in question could only place a comforting hand on the blade wielder’s shoulder.

“Well, they did get the job done; and the target was a bit more clever than usual,”

Picking up a bit of discarded flesh and flinging it to their bins of ‘goodies’, the calmer male gave the fuming one a serene look.

“but they did capture a good portion of their second in command. So if you’d like, you can join in our session for some stress relief.”

Despite the calming look on his face, Sugawara knew Asahi needed some stress relief as well. Especially after having dealt with Noya’s adventure the week prior.

With that, the medic caved, and nodded; appreciating the offer for the urge to spill blood.

Now, how does bb look? He’s the tallest out of the veteran group

a strong build and can be seen as the sturdy immovable wall (hehehe)

Like Daichi and Sugawara, Asahi has a couple of tattoos

Usually keeps his hair in a half man bun as he works

He’s very gentle with his s/o

Which comes to a surprise to absolutely no one

Is the most ‘normal’ out of the group when it comes to having a relationship

Last but not least~!

The main decoy who infiltrates any sort of hard to meet target

A skilled assassin who uses medical knowledge to quickly and effectively get rid of targets

She’s mainly seen as indifferent no matter what antics the rest of the group manage to pull

The last to be called into help with interrogations if the victim manages to still hold through 

helps Sugawara in terms of healing any of the more rambunctious who get too badly hurt after a chaotic mission

besides Asahi she’s seen as another voice of reason

Stepping into the room with practiced ease, the fair woman couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh as she observed the state of the room. Rose petals, wine, the usual works of a serenade in the works. It might’ve worked on someone who actually had good intentions and emotions for the sleeze of a man before her, but she was here for one purpose and one purpose only.

Acting her part, she played the male before her into her hands as she pushed the male down towards the bed. A seductive smile gracing her features as she leaned down to kiss his neck. The male’s eyes fluttering closed in anticipation for the night of his life. Yet within that brief moment, she struck. Syringe imbedded deeply into the main artery in his neck, she watched as he began to choke and writhe about in pain as his airways shut. The slow and torturous burn eating away at the man before he fell limp into the sheets.

Slowly sitting up, the woman went to dress herself as she sent a simple voice message.

“Target neutralized. Clean up requested.”

It’s no lie that she’s a literal goddess among humans.

Her looks and indifferent reactions have many thinking she’s playing hard to get when that’s not the case

Like the rest of the veterans, she has a handful of tattoos decorating her skin

with her s/o she’s a bit more expressive in her emotions 

she doesn’t trust easily, but with time builds trust with her s/o and groupmates

she’s quite shy in showing PDA initially, but when she feels confident that s/o won’t leave her she shows it more often

loves to get kisses before and after missions

Character | Viktoria/Famine

What drew you to this character?

So, I have this personal rule where I don’t apply to roleplays that have already started because I get this intense feeling of FOMO, but I kept coming back to Viktoria and was genuinely so surprised that they hadn’t been taken yet. I feel like she was waiting for me to take them up haha.

But on a more serious note, the Horsemen fascinate me like no other faction in this roleplay. There’s something about the bond that they have that surpasses ties of family, love or even just emotion in general. They are bound by their own inevitability as a singular entity and together as a four. Yet, while the Four Horsemen are similar in a lot of ways, with their once shared purpose and existence, Viktoria’s innate dissatisfaction with everything aside from their own creations struck me as something unique that sets them apart from their brethren. If anything their ability to feed on that appetite that she craves has given them the ability to construct and build on a level that is almost, quite literally, God-like. It’s this and the fact that she was created first - not distinct from the other Horsemen because of this reason, they all were formed from a part of God Himself - but Viktoria’s presence, their sheer essence was present and mulling in souls for eons before God created Viktoria and then the rest followed in an instance. While the Horsemen are linked together and will follow each other for the rest of time, I want to explore these two aspects especially in this New World and how Famine’s very nature creates either a fracture between them all or binds them ever closer together.

What also really interests me is the path she taken in this plain, not just as a Mercenary of sorts, but the almost unconscious path she has taken in moulding those that possess that same aching hunger as them. I think for Viktoria this has filled the hole in them ever so slightly after leaving everything she created in Purgatory. But for Viktoria, as I touched on a little before, it’s this dissatisfaction that consistently comes into play which she also projects onto other people. I think if she sees potential in someone, especially if she sees something that matches their level that same restless desperation rises in them of seeking, finding and almost taming them to their own very high standards.

What future plots do you have in mind for the character?

I imagine Viktoria’s future plot lines to be largely based around several other characters in the roleplay, especially that of the other Horsemen, but there are several directions I can see Viktoria going in:

i. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth - the Horsemen’s Purpose

What is really interesting is that one of things that bound the Four Horsemen together is their shared purpose in bringing about the Apocalypse. While their paths may have drifted while in Purgatory, I feel that Viktoria, and potentially the others too, would have relished in there not being a fracture of planes, but an even greater expanse which fulfilled all of their aspirations, an Apocalypse which changed the very fabric of Life itself.

But with that purpose being robbed from them and having been thrust into the mortal plane, not only does this reduce the power that they hold, but I would argue this weakens the bond that they have together. The occupation that they all currently hold, being killers for hire, is a much more solitary occupation than what they were first created for. I think that despite the fact that their planning and preparation is done together, there is a chance that as their personal desires and aims grow through connections with other characters in the roleplay (Viktoria’s specific circumstance I will touch on next), I can see a rift forming between the four of them if that is at all possible. Viktoria’s particular desire for power to create the world in their own image doesn’t trump the bond that she shares with the other Horsemen though. I can imagine that there is a tipping point where Viktoria has a number of paths that she can take for their own benefit, but ever the tactician she is, she would recognise that the power they have together can achieve so much more than splitting off on her own.

Building on the prior point, I also think with the way that the New Order was created, Viktoria imagines there to be another Apocalypse, she can feel the hunger, the aching starvation and the loss of control and I think its only a matter of time before the Horsemen capitalise on it if they don’t get sidetracked.

ii. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown - Viktoria + Michael

The connection between Viktoria and Michael is something that I can see going further and absolutely shaking the New World in its entirety.

Viktoria from all of their time manipulating people’s emotions is very much aware of the need and desire that is clawing away at Michael, the fascination that Michael has when he looks upon her. Famine is unable to feel emotion in the same way, but I do think she is able to replicate and even imitate them based on eons of feeling and experiencing those of others around them. I think depending on how their relationship forms in the future, I could see an alliance struck between the two.

However, I think the above depends on other factors:

If the relationship between Michael and the other Arkangels dissolves completely, it could serve as an in for the Horsemen as a collective through Viktoria to go about fulfilling their preordained purpose (or a new one)

Alternatively, if the relationship between Michael and the other Arkangels dissolves completely AND the relationship between Viktoria and the other Horsemen dissolves as well, I can imagine Viktoria’s allegiances and desires turn towards the throne that Michael sits upon for the power it holds in order for her to form what she wants

iii) You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment - killer for hire

Something I want to explore as a plot point is Viktoria’s role as an assassin. As this is something that they and the other Horsemen do as a collective I can imagine them having devised a very clear dichotomy between the roles that each of them play when carrying out a job. Because of Viktoria’s role as a tactician, a creator, a diplomat, I can imagine them not wanting to sully their own hands with the act of taking someone else’s life, but I think also she sees it as beneath them so she somewhat relies on the expertise of the others to carry out the actually act of the job successfully.

As a result of this, I really want there to be an instance where Viktoria is forced or compelled to kill as I think this juxtaposes quite heavily with who she is and would be really interesting to see how it plays out.

iv) A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance - emotions

Throughout this app I’ve mentioned emotions, specifically how Viktoria does not have in. To expand and clarify this, I want to say that Famine doesn’t have any. Famine wasn’t created with the intention of feeling anything but an aching sense of hunger for the Apocalypse. I would even say the dissatisfied, restless emotion she experiences is something that has developed in them. I would like to think thought that since the New Order has been created causing Purgatory to fracture, the price in a way of taking up a mortal name, Viktoria, and almost reducing themselves to the level of a mortal woman has led to Viktoria experiencing their own emotions as well as manipulating other people’s. I think this would really complicate future events or perhaps Viktoria and the other Horsemen would recognise this and attempt to come up with a plan to speed up their agenda depending on the way these emotions were affecting them as a group.

Are you comfortable with killing off your character?

My short answer is yes I would be comfortable with killing off Viktoria.

Long answer that I think warrants some thought before she is killed off:

The death of one of the Horsemen is actually really interesting because in theory they should be dying/dead because they are an embodiment of God in some form. I think this is down to their inevitability and the inevitability of their purpose. So while I believe Viktoria or Ryuk or Nerissa or Dmitri can die I don’t think it’s possible to kill off Famine or Death or War or Conquest.

I think this is the reason why I would want there to be more consideration on the whys and hows if Viktoria is to die. Famine will remain, in the hunger, the starvation and the dissatisfaction that will take hold in others, or with Viktoria’s death something else to replace them will form and be Famine or even take its place.

The death of Viktoria will also change the dynamic of the Horsemen, of which their purpose of bringing about the Apocalypse will be lost, which would be interesting depending on the direction the roleplay goes in.

IN DEPTH

Driving Character Motivation

Right now I think Viktoria’s ultimate desire which also serves as a motivator is to vanquish this restless hunger that’s consuming them once and for all. I think since God created Viktoria and the rest of the Horsemen without a real motivator in mind, she’s found in the eons that she’s been living, the power of creation abates it the most because its only through Viktoria’s own work that she can truly feel the satisfaction that she craves. I think this dissatisfaction spills over in her view of other people which is she wants to mould those, especially those with potential to fit around their standards so she can feed off of it.

Ultimately, its because of the Horsemen’s collective lack of purpose that makes Viktoria motivated to seek out power not only to help their own agenda with potentially bringing about an Apocalypse this time round, but to seek out opportunities in which she can go further than she ever did with their creations in Purgatory with their brethren by their side. I think this will also define Viktoria as less of a person with a mortal’s name but as where she rightfully thinks she should be; Famine, the ever present hunger, starvation and ache that claws through those lesser.

Character Traits

+ Calm: One of the reasons why Viktoria makes a good diplomat and is the one that represents the Horsemen on the political stage is their ability to remain calm and collected and convey the Horsemen’s position and aspirations in a favourable light. She is someone that is easily admirable just as she is formidable. I would say it is because of their calm nature that sets her apart as a leader over the aggressive and war-hungry Nerissa. Viktoria is someone who also never angers easily, preferring to state a few words that have meaning or else say nothing at all and let her plans and actions do the talking.

+ Cunning: Viktoria’s ability to create and map out what she wants and where she wants it makes them impressive in itself, but coupled with their ability to formulate to their and their brethren’s advantage is a skill that is valued highly when plotting to their own agenda and also when carrying out their kills. Viktoria is a long-term strategist preferring to wait and consider their options before striking out with the best one.

+ Instinctive: Viktoria has eons to not only study the emotions of others, but actually feel them through the abilities she possesses. It’s because of this that she has become extremely emotionally aware and is able to more or less tell what sort of emotions are being drawn up in the other person. This has been insightful when it comes to plotting their next marks.

Restless: Viktoria is someone who wants results and she wants them immediately to the highest of standards. Any task that she feels she can do better themselves she’ll do it, but the idea of delegating to someone that isn’t of the same calibre as them irritates them. She has little, if any patience for incompetence. One of the few people she trusts is their fellow Horsemen. I think this restless, easily irritable nature, however, doesn’t win them any points amongst the other factions and especially not the other Horsemen who have to be the literal embodiment of perfection before a good word is uttered by Viktoria.

Manipulative: Every move Viktoria makes and every action that she takes isn’t without an ulterior motive that is there to benefit them or the Horsemen. Its because of this that most people know that Viktoria isn’t one to be trusted no matter how convincing their silver tongue can be.

Unemotional: While Viktoria is able to replicate or even mimic emotion, Viktoria possesses no emotion of their own. Perhaps its because of the way the God created them, with raw starvation and savageness in His mind, or spending many a century deep in the depths of Purgatory, she is unable to express may of the core emotions that others seem to have. Even with the other Horsemen, there’s something innate, almost a primal bond that binds Viktoria with them, perhaps the closest semblance to love she’ll ever be able to feel. Although this is something that I see changing with the length of time she is spending in the Mortal Realm.

In-Character Para Sample

i.

Famine turned to the sharp, jagged opening, their eyes steely and focused on their destination ahead. Their brethren beside them, with the same look of determination frozen onto their faces. Famine newly formed, newly arrived knew almost intrinsically that these three were instrumental to their success. Their joint success of bringing about the destruction of the Worlds that He had created, for where there was creation, there would be a a slow degradation that the Four were feeding off of long before their conception.

Famine looked upon the jagged piece of cut air, the friction lined with a sliver of gold a beacon that did not serve as their waiting room before they were unleashed upon God’s Earth. They stepped in together, a cold rage burning in the pit of their hollow stomach, as they stared at the bleak expanse of space full of the lingering tortured souls that had not managed to reach Heaven or Hell. It wasn’t as if Famine would have rather been amongst their Creator’s other subjects in either of the other two realms. The mere glimpse of Heaven and its blinding light was just as dull to them as its inhabitants. Famine could sense their brethren’s pursuit for other tasks as she moved forward with their own. What would she make of the expanse in front of them? What purpose did it serve if they were meant to lay here in wait for the downfall of everything that was holy, everything that was impure and everything in between? And what was she supposed to do here? Famine was no mere mortal and the place they were in was not Eden. She could not and would not pluck the metaphorical apple from the tree and take a bite to give them free will. No. Famine had a purpose, they all did. And so she would stay in the deepest of recesses of hunger, laying in want with a need to be fed and a desire of more from their very existence.

And so she wandered the realm’s depths, Famine, who was created from a starved piece of flesh, who was ordered to carry out the end of all of His creations and cast away along with their brothers and sister until the time was right did what she was told. Until she didn’t. With God’s gaze above, managing His unruly subjects, Famine chose to set themselves on their own path. Manifesting their dissatisfaction into something tangible into something that she could taste, something that she could feel. Famine had to barely reach out from the depths of their mind to weave together an image of their own design. She wondered as she crafted and composed the dilapidated pillars of their glass fortress one day whether it was the divinity in them that allowed them to formulate and construct the way that she did. But Famine need only have taken a step back and gazed upon their crooked kingdom to see that the power that she possessed was entirely their own.

ii.

Viktoria descended from, Albtraum, their gaunt skeletal steed, just outside of the building in which they knew their brethren sat waiting for their arrival. She caressed the curve of his starved face in what can only be described as affectionate if it was at all possible for them to feel such an emotion. Viktoria had taken to travelling to The Holy Hall on their creature, it was purely political after all. It was essential that the factions remembered the Horsemen’s status amongst them all, the last thing she wanted for them was their own place in the house of cards to topple, like Creator, like Created.

She walked up the steps to the dimly lit hall they were sat in, their gaze took them in, each a handful of chaos and each far too complacent with the New Order than she had liked. It was one thing following them out of their vision of Purgatory to the opaque opulence of this plain to then be reduced as a collective, as mere remnants of God’s corporeality. No. Viktoria wouldn’t let their descent go any further. She would feed Ryuk with as many decimations as he desired, she would work in Nerissa’s bloodlust and settle Dmitri’s whims in their plans if it meant that they would follow in their ascent. They only needed time and patience and resilience so she could work to mould and manipulate the upper echelons of government. They all knew better, as Viktoria did with them, to go against their unrivalled ability to formulate.

Viktoria nodded at each, in respect, before taking a seat at the table, waiting for one to speak with the burning questions that she knew they possessed.

“Michael, again?” Nerissa spoke an ever-present impatience permeating their voice.

Viktoria looked at them their eyes resigned at the picture that had been created almost involuntary, without their permission. She hated not having a choice. “Yes, it would seem we have landed on a treasure trove.”

“But it is a matter that solely concerns you, sister, not us.” Ryuk interjected, for the first time addressing the unspoken tensions that threw a spotlight on the friction between them all since they stepped out of the middling realm.

Dmitri, with as much solidarity as they possessed reached over, clasping their hand in their own. Viktoria smiled coldly at Ryuk, not before squeezing Dmitri’s hand in reassurance. She was calm; she was controlled.

“Surely, Death,” she emphasised, wanting to remind them all of their position that had been clouded by mortal names and mortal feelings. “You value the hold of your status than of a few mortal souls?”

There was silence. Viktoria knew they hesitated, they had been stripped of their purpose, they knew of nothing else.

“We must continue to play their game,” Dmitri spoke.

Viktoria nodded, a wave of satisfaction washing over the itch that she knew was pent up in them as well as in the others. “Until the time is right.” Because when time was right, Viktoria knew she would be Famine once again, the three Horsemen by their side looking over an endless sea of destruction and doom.
