Thoughts and analogies.
Story : In a Turkish village, five orphaned sisters live under strict rule while members of their family prepare their arranged marriages.
The movie is separated into two different types of scene one type portrays the reality of women submitted as it is and the other take more of a fairytale fitting into the point of view of the young Lale narrating the movie
The director compared the 5 sisters to a five-headed monster( the scene with the grandma hitting them and them defending each other is the best-fitting one for this description btw.)
Them stealing apples from the orchard was also a clear reference to adam and eve, as they munch the forbiddden fruit before coming back home and being accused of losing their virgnity.
The scenes of the car entering the tunnel just before opening the door that was in the shadow is also clearly an analogy to them being confined in their houses and being deprived of liberty.
There is a reoccurence of this when the car is going out of the tunnel when Yasin helped the girls flee their house and uncle.
Im sure Lale chasing flies has also a meaning to it but I don't wanna read too much into it, it could be too far-fetched.
The movie has also some moment where its is filmed in a "caught red-handed" kind of way, it's when the camera is at the level of their eyes and is very close to them, the silence during important moment also increases this feeling of realism, it also help adding realism to it.
What seems to me related to a fairytale in the movie are the scenes where the girls are cut from the world being locked up in their donjon like house reminding me obviously of the tale of Rapunzel, the scenes of the hide-and-seek after the cancelled mariage and the sisters fleeing through the branches of trees was giving rebellious princesses so much.
The young deliverer was acting also as an unexpected charming prince by coming to their rescue with his truck and being one of the only man or person outside of Lale's sisters not trying to impose any way of acting feminine or sth to the girls.
When seizing their items, its as if the genre of the movie changed we have shots that could remind us of a detective movie, emphasizing of the pressure put on the girls.The omnipresence of patriarchy is also demonstrated by the sequences where we see the neighbors watching them and the people of the village gossiping about them and making allegations about them. The narrative force stands in how restrisction and censorpship is depicted, the best exemple is the scene where Elo commits suicide with Erdogan's speech is in the background that is incarnated by the uncle.
Oppression manifests in a deafening manner refusing to listen and the village acts as a place of surveillance.

Majlis Hadits Ahad, Kitab Jami’ Tirmidzi
Bersama Syaikhina KH. Ahmad Marwazie, murid dan katib Syaikh al Musnid Muhammad Yasin al Fadani musnid-ad-dunya; pemegang ‘sanad dunia’ abad ke-20.
📍Zawiyah Raudhah Tebet, Jakarta Selatan.
Di pertemuan kali ini, pembacaan hadits Jami’ Tirmidzi telah sampai kepada pembahasan bab isy’arul budni pada kitab Haji, yakni penggoresan punuk unta sebagai penanda hewan qurban.
Kiranya ada beberapa hal penting yg perlu kita telaah bersama mengenai majlis kali ini.
Hadits singkat itu berbunyi:
“Telah menyampaikan kepada kami Waki’ dari Hisyam dari Qatadah dari Abi Hasan al A’raj dari Ibnu Abbas bahwa Nabi menggores punuk unta bagian kanan hingga berdarah lalu mengusap darah tersebut (untuk menandai) dan mengikat sandal lalu mengalungkan kedua sandalnya di unta tersebut”.
Hadits dari Sayyidina Ibnu Abbas r.a. ini dikategorikan oleh Imam Tirmidzi sebagai hadits hasan shahih (disunnahkan untuk melakukan isy’ar/penandaan tersebut). Hadits ini dijadikan sebagai landasan dalam mengamalkan tatacara orang yg ingin berqurban, yaitu dengan memberi tanda pada hewan qurban, alhasil itu sunnah meskipun (bagi sebagian orang yg cenderung menggunakan akal & perasaannya) seakan-akan itu menyakiti unta tersebut.
Bahkan beberapa imam madzhab ummat ini juga menyetujuinya, semisal Imam Syafi’i, Imam Ahmad, Imam Sufyan ats Tsauri, dan Imam Ishaq bin Ibrahim). Isy’ar ini sifatnya sunnah (tidak wajib). Di kalangan masyarakat umumnya ada yg menandai dengan melubangi telinga sebagai pertanda bahwa unta, sapi, kambing tersebut untuk diqurbankan, sehingga masyarakat mengetahui dan senang (karena sudah ada calon hewan qurban sebagai makanan bagi mereka).
Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yg muncul di kalangan orang yg mendahulukan akal & perasaannya dibanding nash:
- Kata mereka, “Isy’ar bagian dari ta’dzib (penyiksaan) terhadap hewan”. Jika kita perhatikan pada anak perempuan saat di tindik, anak laki-laki saat di khitan apakah itu ta’dzib juga? Sekali-kali bukan. Dibalik setiap perintah syariat pasti ada hikmahnya, misal faktor kesehatan yg akan didapat dari khitan: kemaluan akan lebih bersih dan terhindar dari kuman serta infeksi.
- Tidaklah mungkin seorang rasul yg diutus sebagai rahmatan lil ‘alamin berlaku jahat, jadi hukum syariat yg ada jangan semata-mata dipandang hanya dengan perasaan & logika saja karena akan menghasilkan kerancuan (setiap orang punya pandangan tentang logika & perasaannya masing-masing).
- Manusia liberal menganggap beberapa hukum syariat ‘mencederai’ hak asasi kemanusiaan, padahal itu bertolak belakang dengan nash. Jadi jika terdapat nash, kita kesampingkan dahulu logika dan perasaan dari menilai hukum syariat. Karena jika menggunakan akal saja akan banyak hukum yg hilang. Sebagai contoh jika seorang yg berzina itu muhson (sudah nikah) maka dihukumi rajam sampai mati, jika dianggap kasihan maka tidak akan ada hukum tersebut. Sebaliknya hukum syariat berupaya memberikan hukum sejajar di mata undang-undang jika orang-orang itu mau memahami.
- KH. Marwazie pernah menyaksikan bahwa di Saudi ada seorang dari Yordania tertangkap mencuri dan sudah mencapai nishob untuk dilakukan hukum qishash potong tangan. Seorang supir dari Indonesia yg membawa KH. Marwazie di taksinya mengomentari bahwa hukum tersebut sangat kejam. Beliau lalu memberikan contoh, “Jika kamu punya uang dan sedang butuh, mungkin kamu tidak hanya akan mengambil balik uangnya tapi bisa jadi sampai membunuhnya. Bahkan tidak sedikit pencuri yg dibakar hidup-hidup. Kita bayangkan hal yg begitu sulit bagi kita, jangan bayangkan kondisi yg tidak kita alami (dicuri)”.
- Imam Tirmidzi mendengar dari gurunya, Yusuf bin Isa, beliau mendengar dari gurunya Waki’ bin Jarrah, “Janganlah kalian melihat pandangan ahli ra’yi (ditujukan kepada Imam Abu Hanifah secara khusus, secara umum kepada para ulama fuqoha’) dalam hal ini (isy’ar); karena isy’ar ini sunnah, sedangkan ucapan mereka (ahli ra’yi) bid’ah (tidak bisa diterima oleh ahli hadits/muhadditsin, karena nash hadits tersebut ada dan shahih). Sedangkan ketika masih ada nash maka tidak ada satupun hujjah yg bisa mengunggulinya; karena nash adalah landasan hukum utama. Perbedaan pandangan di kalangan ulama muhadditsin & fuqoha ini telah jamak di tengah ummat, jadi bukan berarti karena kita berpegang pada madzhab Syafi’i lalu kita membenci madzhab Hanafi (karena melarang isy’ar). Bagi mereka para ulama, sudah mafhum bahwa mereka memiliki hujjah atas setiap hukum yg dilahirkan, sedangkan kita sebagai pengikut madzhab adalah cukup mengikuti dan memandang perbedaan tersebut sebagai khazanah keilmuan dan menghormati mereka yg mulia.
- Ulama ahli ra’yi (ahli logika) yg dimaksudkan oleh Imam Waki’ bin Jarrah adalah ulama fuqoha yg tidak punya kepentingan keduniawian, bukan seperti kita yg hanya memakai logika dan masih teramat banyak kepentingan duniawinya. Selain itu, ulama ahli ra’yi memiliki metodologis yg rapi dan diselaraskan dengan aspek dalil; tidak serta merta akal & perasaan semata. Kalau kita akhirnya bukan memakai akal, tapi cuma akal-akal an🤣. Karena ahli ra’yi mengambil hujjah ketika tidak ada dalil yg kuat, tidak asal-asalan.
- Maka jika kita menelusuri suatu hukum dalam rangka istidlal/ ndalil, hendaknya kita tuntaskan belajar bab tersebut, supaya tidak serampangan dalam berargumen apalagi jika justru mukhalafah/bertentangan dengan ulama-ulama yg kompeten.
- Ada seseorang yg berkata kepada Imam Waki’ bahwa, “Abu Hanifah mengatakan isy’ar ini mutslah/ta’dzib/penyiksaan, bahkan Ibrahim an Nakha’i juga mengatakan isy’ar itu penyiksaan”. Imam Waki’ marah (karena ketegasan dan berpegang pada hadits) kepada orang tersebut dan berkata, “Saya mengatakan Rasulullah bersabda, dan kamu mengatakan Ibrahim (an Nakha’i) mengatakan demikian demikian?! (Sungguh tidak layak)”. Penggunaan dalil itu harus terukur: ketika ada dalil nash yg jelas, tidak akan sebanding dengan dalil (hujjah) dari ulama siapapun. “Jangan-jangan kamu yg bohong (karena bisajadi kamu tidak selesai penelusuran dan belajarnya). Kamu lebih pantas dipenjara dan tidak keluar darinya sampai kamu menarik ucapanmu”.
- Jadi ada jenis ‘orang yg bucin’ terhadap para tokoh fuqoha akan tetapi belajarnya tidak selesai akhirnya dia menjadi ‘manusia asal nukil tanpa bukti’ dan justru menjadi permasalahan yg besar di kalangan ummat. Walaupun pendapat tersebut (isy’ar madzhab Hanafi dll) ada penjelasannya dalam kitab Tuhfatul Ahwadzi Syarah Jami’ Tirmidzi, tapi orang bucin tersebut tidak mencari dan tabayyun. Disini-lah pentingnya kita duduk dan mengkaji dalil yg menjadi argumentasi ketika berhadapan dengan permasalahan yg dianggap orang hujjah kita tidak benar, terutama ketika berhadapan dengan ‘orang-orang bucin’ tersebut. Jadi tidak selalu orang yg mengatakan qawl nya berasal dari imam ini imam itu, karena bisajadi dia berdusta. Dahulukan tabayyun untuk mencari kebenarannya.
- KH. Marwazie pernah mengalami saat menyalin tulisan Syaikh Yasin, ketika diteliti beliau mengatakan nama tertentu salah dan harus dikoreksi, maka ada yg namanya proses tahqiq. Jika seseorang tidak punya ilmu makhtutot terhadap apa yg ditelusurinya maka jangan sekali-kali menukilnya. Sebagai contoh Imam Syafii punya beberapa murid yg menukil perkataan beliau. Maka diharuskan melakukan perbandingan qawl diantara murid beliau, ini yg berat. Memang, media dan teknologi sekarang membantu kita dalam belajar, namun jangan lupakan metodologi karena jika salah metode penelusurannya maka akan runtuh bangunan ilmu yg dihasilkan kemudian.
- Kelemahan pengikut madzhab zaman sekarang adalah pintar dalam dalil tapi lemah dalam tathbiq amaliy (melakukan amalannya), salah satu yg diperlukan untuk terus mengasahnya adalah rajin hadir di majelis (agar kita refresh ilmu dan amal).
- Pesan dari KH. Marwazie, bahwa jika ada seseorang yg berkata “rasulullah berkata ini dan itu” akan tetapi ternyata tidak ada nashnya maka sungguh dia termasuk dari sabda nabi, “Barangsiapa yg berdusta atas nama diriku secara sengaja, hendaklah ia bersiap menempati tempatnya di neraka”. Maka berhati-hatilah dalam menukil hadits. “Dakwah itu butuh modal (yaitu belajar dengan guru dan metode yg benar), maka jangan pernah ‘berjualan dalil’ untuk dakwahmu”. Kita boleh mengklaim kita ahlussunah wal jama’ah asalkan punya pokok & dasar ilmu yg benar.

Lahore, 21 October 2024:
“Alhamdulillah, under ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program, construction of houses has started across Punjab,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif while chairing a special meeting to have a detailed briefing on ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program. She added,”In a record period of only two months, the people who got the first installment in Lahore, Kasur and other districts have started construction of their houses vigorously.”
Madam Chief Minister said,”I express prayers and best wishes for the lucky citizens who are building houses under "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program.” She directed the authorities concerned to ensure release of the second installment of loan under the program as per schedule, and said,”We are trying our best so that no one is deprived of a rightful loan.” She underscored,”In each district, Assistant Commissioner has been appointed as Focal Person for the convenience of applicants.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,”I will myself monitor "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program via dashboard.” She directed the Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin to monitor the programme in the field.
Earlier, Madam Chief Minister was briefed by the relevant authorities,”More than five and a half lakh people have approached the portal for "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program, and about four and a half lakh applications have received under the program.”
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Provincial Minister Housing Bilal Yasin attended the meeting. Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Secretary Housing Asadullah Khan, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, DG PHATA Saif Anwar Jappa and other relevant officers were also present.

IL PRIMISSIMO ATTENTATO ALLE TORRI GEMELLE RISALE AL FEBBRAIO DEL 1993 COL TENTATIVO DI FARLE IMPLODERE
La pianificazione
La pianificazione dell'attentato al World Trade Center iniziò il 1º settembre 1992, quando Ahmed Ajaj, originario della Palestina, e Ramzi Yusuf, nato in Kuwait da padre pakistano e madre palestinese e nipote di Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, che in seguito sarà l'organizzatore degli attentati dell'11 settembre 2001, arrivarono negli Stati Uniti dal Pakistan atterrando all'aeroporto John F. Kennedy di New York. Il primo fu arrestato e in seguito condannato a 6 mesi di carcere perché era in possesso di un passaporto svedese falso, e la sua valigia, che conteneva manuali sulla costruzione di bombe e libri di propaganda anti-americana, fu confiscata. Yusuf arrivò invece con un passaporto iracheno falso e fece domanda di asilo politico, ma fu arrestato per essere entrato negli Stati Uniti senza il necessario visto. Fu però rilasciato su cauzione, e poco dopo si mise in contatto con un altro cospiratore, Mohammed Salameh, anch'egli originario della Palestina.
Nonostante Ajaj fosse stato imprigionato e i suoi libri sulla fabbricazione di ordigni confiscati, Yusuf, il capo dei cospiratori, riuscì ugualmente a comunicare con lui grazie ad un sistema di telefonate a tre: Yusuf telefonava ad un altro cospiratore, Eyad Ismoil, originario della Giordania, il quale a sua volta telefonava in prigione ad Ajaj dal negozio di alimentari di Dallas in cui lavorava. Grazie a queste telefonate, per i cospiratori fu possibile la preparazione dell'attentato. Il materiale con cui fabbricare la bomba fu depositato in un magazzino del New Jersey affittato da Salameh, il quale il 1º gennaio 1993 affittò un appartamento nella città di Jersey City insieme a Ramzi Yusuf e ad Abdul Rahman Yasin, nato negli Stati Uniti da genitori iracheni, al fine di utilizzarlo per assemblare l'ordigno esplosivo insieme agli altri cospiratori, tra cui vanno annoverati anche l'ingegnere chimico Nidal Ayaad, nato in Kuwait da genitori palestinesi, e Mahmoud Abouhalima, immigrato negli Stati Uniti dall'Egitto e considerato vicino ad El Sayyed Nosair, uno degli assassini del rabbino ortodosso Meir Kahane, ucciso a Manhattan nel 1990 da un gruppo di integralisti islamici, e ad Omar Abd al-Rahman, soprannominato lo sceicco cieco e ritenuto il leader spirituale del gruppo terroristico Al-Jama'a al-Islamiyya[1].
L'esecuzione
Il 22 febbraio 1993, Eyad Ismoil raggiunse gli altri cospiratori a New York da Dallas. Il giorno successivo, Mohammed Salameh noleggiò un furgone giallo presso la Ryder, una compagnia statunitense di noleggio di furgoni e trasporti, sul quale furono caricati l'ordigno esplosivo e alcune bombole di idrogeno, che servivano ad amplificare l'effetto dell'esplosione. La sera del 25 febbraio, Ramzi Yusuf ed Eyad Ismoil raggiunsero con il furgone carico di esplosivo un albergo di Manhattan, dove passarono la notte, e Salameh, al fine di procurarsi un alibi, ne denunciò il furto alla polizia del New Jersey. L'indomani, Ismoil e Yusuf piazzarono il furgone nel parcheggio sotterraneo del World Trade Center intorno a mezzogiorno. Alle 12:17:37 locali la bomba esplose generando approssimativamente una pressione di 1034,1 MPa che provocò un cratere di circa 30 m, la rottura dell'impianto idrico ed energetico e un black out di onde-radio nell'intera area di Manhattan, linee telefoniche comprese. Una colonna di fumo raggiunse il 93º piano di entrambe le torri, soprattutto attraverso le scale, tanto che rese molto difficile evacuare gli edifici e molti occupanti rimasero intossicati a causa dell'inalazione. Centinaia di persone, tra cui 17 bambini, rimasero intrappolate negli ascensori bloccati per cinque ore. Durante l'attacco morirono sei persone e 1.042 persone furono ferite, la maggior parte durante l'evacuazione[2].
Circa nove minuti dopo l'esplosione giunsero sul posto i vigili del fuoco, la polizia e le ambulanze, incaricati di evacuare le aree interessate dall'esplosione e soccorrere eventuali feriti. Durante le operazioni di salvataggio, 28 persone con problemi medici vennero soccorse tramite elicotteri della polizia, 15 rimasero ferite a causa dell'esplosione e 20 persone ebbero problemi cardiaci; inoltre un pompiere venne ricoverato in ospedale, mentre altri 87 pompieri, 35 poliziotti e un operaio rimasero feriti negli incendi che seguirono.
Le torri tuttavia non crollarono, ma se il furgone fosse stato parcheggiato accanto alle fondamenta in cemento del World Trade Center, l'obiettivo di Yusuf avrebbe potuto essere raggiunto in quanto la Torre Nord sarebbe potuta collassare verso la Torre Sud, distruggendole entrambe. L'esplosione danneggiò in particolare il Marriott Hotel, che dopo un lavoro di ristrutturazione verrà riaperto solo nel novembre dell'anno successivo.
Ovviamente niente accade che i servizi segreti non sappiano... né la politica.

The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): The Treaty of Hudaybiyah and Calling the Great States of the World to Islam
Chosroes is Invited to Islam
(7th Year of the Migration, the month of Muharram /AD 628)
The Messenger of God, who decided to invite the kings to Islam, sent Abdullah b. Huzafa, one of the Companions, to Parwiz b. Hurmuz, the Chosroes of Persia as an envoy.
Abdullah b. Huzafa, who arrived in Iran and was accepted into the palace, gave the letter of invitation to Islam to the Chosroes Parwiz in person. The Chosroes made his scribe read the letter:
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim!
“From Muhammad, the Messenger of God to the Chosroes, the leader of Persians!”
This addressing infuriated the Chosroes. He did not allow the rest of the letter to be read; without learning the content of the letter, he said, “Look! My slave dares to write a letter to me!” and tore the holy letter of the Messenger of God to pieces arrogantly. Then, he said to Abdullah b. Huzafa, the envoy of the Prophet, “The land and the sovereignty belong to me! I have no worry or fear whatsoever about being defeated or encountering someone who wants to share them. The Pharaoh ruled the Sons of Israel. You are not stronger than them. What can prevent me from ruling you? I am stronger than the Pharaoh!’ Then, he ordered his men to dismiss Abdullah.
Abdullah b. Huzafa Returns to Madinah
Hz. Abdullah b. Huzafe fulfilled his duty by giving the letter of the invitation of the Prophet to the Chosroes. Therefore, when he was sent out of the palace he set off for Madinah.
Meanwhile, the fury of the Chosroes probably soothed a bit and he ordered his men to find and fetch Abdullah. However, he had already left.
When Abdullah arrived in Madinah, he went to the presence of the Messenger of God. He told the Prophet what had happened. The Messenger of God damned the Chosroes by saying, “O Lord! Tear his sovereignty to pieces just as he tore my letter to pieces.”
Due to this damning, Shirawayh, the son of the Chosroes Parwiz, stabbed his father with a dagger. Later, Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas destroyed his sovereignty in Iran. The Sasanid rule had no strength.
The Letter Sent by the Prophet
The content of the letter of invitation to Islam by the Messenger of God sent to Parwiz, the Khosroes of Persia was as follows:
“Bismillahirrahmanirrahim!
“From Muhammad, the Messenger of God to the Chosroes, the leader of Persians!
“Peace be upon those who follow the right path, who believe in God and His Prophet, who witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger!
I invite you to the religion of God because I was sent as a prophet ‘to give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth)’ (Yasin, 70).
“Be a Muslim so that you will be saved. If you reject my invitation, may you be responsible for the sins of your fireworshipping nation!”
The Order that the Chosroes Gives to the Governor of Yemen
The fury of the Chosroes did not soothe when he tore the holy letter of the Prophet. He sent this message to Bazan, the governor of Yemen: “I hear that a person in the Quraysh claims to be a prophet. Send two of your strong men so that they will tie him and bring him to me.”
Bazan fulfilled this order at once. He sent two of his men to the Prophet; he also gave them a letter telling the Prophet to go and surrender to the Chosroes.
Those two men called Babawayh and Hurra Husra came to Madinah and went to the presence of the Messenger of God. Babawayh said to the Prophet, “The Chosroes wrote a letter to Bazan, the governor, and ordered him to send two men to take you to the Chosroes. Bazan sent me to you. If you come with me, Bazan, the governor of Yemen, will write a letter in favor of you and make him forgive you; if you refuse to come with me, the Chosroes will eliminate you and your nation and destroy your country.” Then, Babawayh gave the letter of Bazan to the Prophet.
After the Messenger of God listened to what Babawayh said and learnt the content of the letter, he smiled; then, he invited them to Islam.
The envoys were shivering in the presence of the Prophet due to his spiritual grandeur but they tried to speak bravely so as to hide their fear.
The Prophet said, “I will tell you what I will do tomorrow.” Then, he sent them.
The next day, the Messenger of God gave them the following news, which he received through revelation:
“God inflicted Sirawayh, the son of the Chosroes, upon him; Shirawayh killed him in such and such a month, such and such a night and such and such an hour.”
The envoys were surprised by that news.
The Prophet also said to them, “Say to Bazan that my religion and sovereignty will reach the places where the land and sovereignty of the Chosroes reach. Tell him that if he becomes a Muslim, I will give the places that he rules now to him and I will make him the king of the nation that consists of Abnas (Persians that settled in the south of Arabia).”
Thereupon, Bazan’s men returned to Yemen; they told him what had happened.
Bazan, the governor said, “By God, they are not words of king; I think this person is a prophet as he says.” Then, he asked his men, “How did you find him?”
They said, “We have never seen a king more majestic than , more fearless than him; he walked around without any guards. He walked among people modestly; he was on foot not riding.”
Bazan found it appropriate to wait for a while. He said, “Let us wait for the outcome of the words he uttered about the Chosroes. If it turns out to be true, he is really a prophet sent by God to people; if it does not turn out to be, we will do whatever is necessary.”
After a while, Bazan received the following letter from Shirawayh, the son of the Chosroes:
“I killed the Chosroes. When you receive this letter, accept the allegiance of the people on behalf of me. As for the person about whom the Chosroes wrote to you, do not do anything about him until you receive my new order about him.”[
They calculated it and found out that Parwiz was killed at exactly the same hour, and on the same night as the Messenger of God had said.
The inner world of Bazan was enlightened by this obvious miracle. He became a Muslim saying, “Muhammad (pbuh) is definitely a prophet sent by God to people.”
After that, Abans living in Yemen embraced Islam, too.
Later, Bazan informed the Messenger of God that they had become Muslims. Thereupon, the Prophet appointed him as the governor of Sana. He was the first governor that the Prophet appointed and the first Persian governor that became a Muslim.
The Original Letter that the Prophet Sent to the Chosroes
The original letter that the Messenger of God sent to the Chosroes was found when Mr. Henri Pharaon, who had been the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon, applied to Dr. Salahaddin al-Munajjid in November 1962 to read a letter. Henri Pharaon’s father had bought that letter for one hundred and fifty gold coins in Damascus at the end of the World War I; he kept it as a secret because he did not know its content or because he did not want it to be revealed.
According to the description of Dr. Salahaddin al-Munajjid, this letter was written on parchment. However, in the course of time, its color changed and it was stuck on a piece of green fabric, whose texture was worn out. The case was protected by a glass framework; so the parchment remained stuck to it.
The parchment is old and soft; it is dark brown. Therefore, the margins of the page blackened.
The letter is 28 cm long and 21,5 cm wide.
The letter is thin and long but the top part is wider than the bottom.
There are 15 lines in the letter and their length change between 21,2 cm and 21,5 cm.
Under the lines that had been drawn, there is a trace of a seal which resembles a circle; its diameter is 3 cm.
There are traces of water that had flown from the top to the bottom on the letter. They erased some letters or words in some places and made them vague in some places. The letters of the word (RASUL) in the middle of the seal were all erased except the letter ®.
It is understood that the letter was torn. As a matter of fact, the tear starts from the third horizontal line to the end of that line; then, it goes vertically down to the tenth line; thus, the trace of the tear has a reverse (L) shape.
Then, this tear was sewn by a fine thread made of leather belonging to a later date, which could be discerned on the parchment.
The style of the letters is like the oldest style of the words written on the graphite rock on Mount Sel during the Battle of Khandaq.
