i know a lot about native flora and fauna in an "i pull out my phone and show people my inat observations irl" way, but hal has a bunch of the random knowledge that one attains by growing up in the countryside. we also both like keeping up with local ecological news.

i'm at a point with tennessee wildlife where i'm just documenting things i see, basically. partially because it's so different compared to where i grew up so i just need to focus on Learning. but also in part because real estate speculators are salivating over our region right now, so any population of any species i see might be gone next time i pass by.
