So I was watching Mysme videos and falling deeper in love with Saeran by the second and I was watching some story mode content, and 'the savior' was there and she started speaking, and I... physically had to turn the video off, I just felt this visceral rage and hatred; like, they tried really hard to make her a sympathetic villain, and going into it, I actually thought I'd like her, but now? God no. Nuh-uh. Fuck you 'savior,' you hurt way too many characters I care about and god I wish everyone would stop telling me about how great you are in the chatroom that still pisses me off a lot

Rfa comforting MC who thinks that she's useless, replaceable, boring, and feels so lonely

I’m going to add Saeran and V to this because this request really spoke to me and they would Definitely have something to say about it, I’ve been there too, anon. I guarantee that neither myself nor the RFA think you’re useless or replaceable or boring! I hope I did okay! 

Yoosung Kim with an insecure Reader Headcanons 

Yoosung knows what it’s like to feel lonely, and to feel like everyone just overlooks him. He knows how much it hurts and he just cannot stand the idea of you feeling like that. He also knows all too well what it’s like to feel powerless as the youngest member of the RFA.

He’d send write you little notes in your lunchbox saying how much he loves you, or would try to draw your face in ketchup on his omurice: even though it looks terrible, he put a lot of love into it.

He’s like a little puppy, the second he notices that you’re feeling sad he’s going to come bounding over to cheer you up, whether that’s doing something you like or asking if you want to join in on a LOLOL guild expedition.

He gets easily flustered trying to convey what he wants to tell you, but everything he does comes from the heart and the fact it aches over you feeling the same way he did during his darkest times before he met you.

He specifically wants you to know that you’re not replaceable, there’s only one of you and that means you’re extra special to him.

Zen/Hyun Ryu with an insecure Reader Headcanons

Firstly, Zen absolutely worships the ground that you walk on. He never knew that someone so beautiful and perfect and understanding could just stumble into his life, which is why his heart aches so much at hearing you’re feeling so many negative things.

For a moment, Zen would worry that he had caused this with his own narcissism. He’d worry that his need to big himself up out of anxiety would have caused you to push yourself down in comparison. Which is so, so untrue. He realises that it must be... difficult for you to hear him constantly talk about wonderful and handsome he is when you’re feeling so low about yourself. He wouldn’t necessarily stop because he can’t, but he’d try to be more considerate of your feelings.

Zen would go all out to make you feel special, he’d buy you flowers, tell you how gorgeous you are and how undeserving he is of you. Zen will let you know that no one makes him feel the way that you do, ‘in more ways that one’ he’ll add in a husky whisper before flashing a cheeky smirk.

He can’t always help that you feel lonely without him when he has rehearsals, so he’d try to make the time you have together feel even more special. Whilst he wants your undivided attention and gaze, he knows it’s not healthy for you and will encourage you to reach out to friends and Jaehee specifically when you’re feeling lonely. 

When he’s at work, he can’t usually answer his phone but he’ll always answer if you’re upset or worked up and need to talk to him about it. You’re his angel and he’s not going to let you cry without being there to soothe you.

He’d also make sure you know that regardless of how pretty you think his co-stars or backing dancers are, they don’t hold a candle to how beautiful he thinks you are.

Jaehee Kang with an insecure Reader Headcanons

Jaehee knows all too well what it’s like to feel lonely, replaceable and dull. She’s treated like a tool by Jumin, both in and out of hours since he acts like her work schedule is 24/7. She feels boring regardless, and feels like her only interests are coffee and Zen’s musicals. So, she doesn’t understand how someone as wonderful, creative, and interesting as you could possibly think of yourself as boring!

Jaehee would assure you that you’re anything but boring, and would do so by listing everything she can think of that she finds unique, special or interesting about you.

If anything she’s the one that feels replaceable because of how she’s treated at work and how bland she feels overall, she knows how cold that feels inside, so she would never let you feel the same way and wants you to know that.

She also would insist on you hearing her out when she says that you’re not useless, you’re extremely competent to balance everything that you need to during the day and that she admires you for being able to do that with a smile on your face.

It turns into a little bit of a comfort cuddle and cry on the sofa because you both understand how the other one feels and don’t want to see your partner hurting in such a way.

Jumin Han with an insecure Reader Headcanons

Jumin isn’t particularly good when it comes to comforting someone, especially since he’d never really received any sort of intimate comfort before meeting you. He’d go down what he sees as the best route, which is slightly analytical and factual than you probably wanted your reassurance to be.

He assures you that you’re not useless or boring, as no one with such qualities would ever have been able to catch his attention in the way that you did, let alone catch his heart with it.

He’d feel particularly unhappy with you viewing yourself as replaceable because you certainly are not replaceable to him. You opened up his eyes and heart to so much of the world he didn’t understand or felt closed off to. His father views partners as replaceable, Jumin most definitely does not as he will not have you thinking such a thing for even a moment with him.

He does feel apologetic that he works such long hours, and would try to make some re-adjustments to his schedule (much to Jaehee’s grief) to allow the two of you to spend more time together. If you’re up for it, he would also take you away on weekend vacations to be able to relax and enjoy one another’s company without stress.

Saeyoung Choi with an insecure Reader Headcanons

Seven absolutely does not understand how you could feel that way about yourself. You’re such a wonderful person to him, you cracked through his cold shell and loved him for him, even when he tried to push you away. He feels like the useless one, you could never be so.

He just wants to pull you close, cover every part of your body in a kiss and tell you how loved you are. Seven is absolutely someone that believes he can simply squeeze the sadness out of other people, and will attempt to do that with you whilst blowing raspberries into your shoulder. Don’t trust him, if you’re still sad after you’ve been squeezed, he will move on to tickling.

If you feel boring in comparison to seven’s eccentricity, he’ll assure you that you have to be weird to have been able to put up with him for this long, and weird is never boring! He thinks you’re so interesting and funny, he loves listening to your stories and about the things you like.

Once again, Seven understands loneliness. No one has seen him for who he truly is in a very long time, so he understands how isolating that can feel so he’d make a conscious effort to see you for who you are too. 

He’d try to finish his work quicker in future so that he can spend more time with you doing things that would make you happy, such as going on a date to the cinema or for a drive in one of his cars to a cliff where you can listen to music and stargaze on the hood of his car.

Saeran Choi with an insecure Reader Headcanons 

It would probably take Saeran a little while to figure out exactly what was wrong if you didn’t tell him. He’d understand that you were upset, and would try to distract and cheer you up but he’d struggle with specifics if you didn’t explain it to him. But god, it’s hurting him inside.

He had always been the useless one and so aggressively obsessed over it after having it be driven into him so many times that even hearing you refer to yourself as ‘useless’ is a little overwhelming for him and he has to have a time out to calm down.

You were the one who saved him from such a dark place and assured him that his worth does not come from his usefulness, and that he does not need to be useful to be worthy of love, so he tells your own lesson back to you and wants you to accept the same love you offered him.

When you tell him that you feel lonely, he’d initially get a little worried thinking that he wasn’t enough for you, but once you assured him that that wasn’t what you meant, he’d be more able to help. He’d try to invite you along to more of his favourite activities such as gardening and baking, and also ask if there was anything else that you wanted the two of you to do together.

If you need a cry, Saeran would simply hold you and let you cry out everything that you need to, since he knows the damage that can be caused by bottling everything up. He’ll mutter small reassurances that you’re not boring and that he’s already had too much excitement in his life as it is, he likes you just the way you are and that you could never be replaced to him.

V/Jihyun Kim with an insecure Reader Headcanons 

He cannot believe what you’re saying. He’s always thought you were absolutely, entirely perfect. He understands that you might not feel the same way about yourself but he wants to bathe you with so much love that you forget that you could have ever disliked the person he has so much unmatched devotion for.

V would want to do something special for you, to show you how precious you truly are to him. Whilst you were out one day, he’d have gathered every single picture he had ever taken of you and hung the loose images by threads from the ceiling. 

When you’d come home, he would have come behind you and covered your eyes before guiding you into the room and presenting you with... yourself. V takes you through each picture, and god there are so many, and tells you the date, what was happening at that moment, and how he felt about you when taking that picture. 

There are so many different photographs, with so many different emotions captured; happiness, sadness, pleasure, melancholy, excitement, ecstasy, mystery... But the emotion that V always explained himself with was Love, adoration. These memories could never be replaced, and neither could you.

school started around a month ago for me and its been stressful so may i ask for some comfort headcanons of the rfa + v, saeran and rika and how theyd comfort a reader who is struggling with adhd/add and feels useless because they cant get anything done and keep getting distracted bdkdjhdjevejjdheue

AND can I just say I luv how we included Rika in here :3 I absolutely love writing her character when she's actually mentally and emotionally stable, she would be one heck of a partner 😆

Zen:

The two of you had been fairly busy with work and school, only having dinner time to spend together. Still, Zen didn't fail to notice that you seemed to be feeling a lot more down lately.

He tried asking about how your schoolwork was going, to see if you wanted any help, but you just quietly mumbled a no and changed the subject.

Zen couldn't help the frown that appeared on his face, but he decided to not say anything until you were ready to talk. He still made sure you were taking care of yourself though, and tried to help you with any chores around the house.

Eventually one night, he was on the couch, trying to memorize a few of his lines, until you came in the room quietly and straddled him, hugging him tightly.

"Y/N? Is everything alright?" He asked, his tone worried, and you only sighed, tightening your grip on his neck.

"I can't focus on school. I keep trying to do my work but I just...I can't. And the project is due in a few days and I haven't even started. Zenny...I don't know what to do." You sobbed and Zen felt his heart clench. He pulled you away gently and held your face, caressing your cheek.

"It's alright. I'm glad you asked me for help. I know how hard school can be sometimes, how stressful it is, but I want you to know that you can always ask for my help alright? Now why don't we go and try to work on that assignment of yours, I'll be more than happy to help you."

You smiled. "Really Zen? Thank you. I love you."

He chuckled and kissed your nose before standing up and carrying you towards your bedroom princess style. He tried his best to answer any questions you had, but it turned out he didn't really know about the subject and you had to call the RFA for help, BUT you managed to finish the work in time and got a pretty good grade! Zen spun you around in circles when you told him, and then he kissed you to congratulate you!

Yoosung:

Oh the stress it is to be a college student. Especially if your partner is a college student too, and the two of you always get distracted by one thing or another.

Yoosung and you had been together for a while, and you managed to make him want to change, to become a better person. He started doing his assignments in time, and stopped playing as much LOLOL. For him homework seemed to be easy as heck.

For you though? You wanted to throw yourself out the window. Everytime you sat down to do your work, you suddenly got this urge to read, or use or phone, or paint or even learn how to play the cello for some reason. You seemed to want to do anything else but homework, and so, your once messy house suddenly became spotless. You had been cleaning for hours, everytime you finished something exclaiming that oh, the kitchen is actually pretty dirty, or the floor could use some vacuuming.

Yoosung had been a bit stressed from his work to notice at first, but at one point he looked up from the table to see you furiously mopping the floor for the 5th time that day. He wouldn't have thought anything of it except that, you had an expression of anxiety and stress on your face, and he also knew you absolutely hated cleaning, so clearly something was wrong.

He stood up and gently took the mop from you. "MC? Are you alright?"

You slowly looked up at Yoosung and let out a forced chuckle. "Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?"

Your boyfriend raised an eyebrow and looked around the house. "You're cleaning."

"So? It was getting dirty and I-"

"MC you hate cleaning. C'mon, what's going on? You can talk to me!" He had a determined look on his face and you felt yourself smile as you saw how adorable he looked. But then once you remembered why you were cleaning in the first place, your smile faded and you sighed.

"I'm just....I haven't been doing any work for school. Whenever I try to, my mind suddenly wants to do another completely different task, I just can't focus on anything and that is only making me feel worse because I know that the work is due soon, but I still haven't done anything and it just- it makes me feel so bad and stressed so now I'm just panicking about everything!" You started pacing around the room quickly, speaking faster and faster. You kept doing it until Yoosung get to grabbed you by the shoulders.

"Whoa whoa, alright let's just calm down, just take a deep breath alright? Breathe in, and breathe out, we can't solve anything if you're panicking....are you feeling better now?"

After you did what Yoosung had told you, you slowly looked up at him and nodded. He gave you a reassuring smile.

"Good! It's normal for you to feel stressed like that...I understand, I've been in your position far too many times to count. In fact, if I had a dollar for every time that's happened to me then I'd be richer than Jumin"

You giggled and Yoosung chuckled. "Anyway the thing is, next time this happens please tell me, alright? If you ever feel stressed or anxious, just know that I'm here for you. You're an amazing person, you're so smart and beautiful, this is just a little bump on the road. Now, why don't we go and start working on your project hmm? I promise I'll be there to help you, and make sure you're working of course!"

You hesitantly nodded, still a bit nervous about the work, but once you started, you began to feel a bit more confident. Yoosung was there, every now and then letting out some cheers and just helping you on any questions you had.

Thankfully you managed to finish your work in time, and once you were done Yoosung rewarded you by giving you a free cuddle session!

Jaehee:

That woman knew what was going on before you could say anything. She was all too familiar with the look of stress and anxiety from having far so much work.

You were in the kitchen, baking brownies and cookies non-stop. She knew it was something you normally did whenever you were stressed, so she placed her hand on top of yours and said. "MC? Is everything alright?"

You immediately stood up straighter and nervously looked at her. Then, you bit your lip, knowing you couldn't really lie to her. "Uhm....I'm...I'm really not. School has really been taking a toll on me, and I can't seem to do any work. Jaehee I...I feel so useless right now..." You tried your best to breathe and to not break down in from of Jaehee, who was now holding your hand tightly.

"I see....is it about that big project you had been talking about last week? I can help you, if you want....listen to me MC." She gently raised your chin and smiled. "You're an amazing person, don't ever say that you're useless ever again. You're the very opposite of that in fact, you're so important to me and the RFA, I honestly don't know where we would be if it weren't for you. You're a very smart and capable person, and I'm sure soon enough you'll have all of this figured out. Why don't you start working on the project while I clean up over here, and then I can help you with anything you need, is that alright?"

You nodded and Jaehee gently led you to the kitchen table and helped you get your computer. Whenever you'd feel down of unmotivated Jaehee would grab your hand and squeezed it, then she'd help you with anything you were having trouble with and honestly? Jaehee was an amazing teacher, and soon enough you managed to get back on your feet.

Once you were done, the two of you made a victory night! You both baked together and watched musicals and danced around the room. Jaehee also made you some very delicious brownies when you got back your final grade, since you nailed it!

Jumin:

Jumin had just finished signing the last of his documents, and he leaned back in his chair. Ever since you moved in to the penthouse he started working a bit more from home. Of course there'd be days where he'd go, but once in a while he took a few breaks (this man also needs to rest once in a while)

Which is why, he had noticed that lately you had been feeling pretty down. School had just started, and Jumin could tell you were a bit stressed, and super anxious about school.

He was thinking of ways to help you, when suddenly he heard a knock on the door. He looked up to see you opening it a little and looking around, as if asking for permission to come in. He nodded and you quickly walked over to him, straddling his lap.

"Is everything alright love?" He asked, as you ran your hands through his hair.

"Yeah everything is fine. It's great. Really nice. Yup."

He raised and eyebrow and pulled you away so you could look at him better. He looked up at you, and you tried to look anywhere else that wasn't him.

"MC...." He caressed your cheek and glanced at you with a worried expression. "...There's something bothering you, isn't there? Why don't you tell me, and I promise I will try my best to fix it. It pains me to see you like this."

You sighed and slowly looked up at him, biting your lip.

"Well...." You sighed. "I.... I really don't deserve you Jumin...you're so...do amazing and incredible and I'm just...I'm so useless. I can't even do my school work right...." You ducked your head and looked at the ground, feeling ashamed.

Jumin gently lifted your chin and held you tight. "MC....you...how could you say that?" You looked at him in surprise and he only shook his head, and then leaned his forehead against yours. "You are the most intelligent and beautiful person I have ever met. It's so amazing that I get to be with someone as extraordinary as you. MC, you are not useless. Not at all. You are a very capable person, and you never give up, no matter what. School may be really hard right now, but I promise that you will get through it, and I'll be beside you the whole time if you need someone to lean on." He softly kissed you and you immediately felt a load of your back disappear. Itfelt so good to finally tell Jumin how you felt.

"Jumin...." You whispered against his lips, and he smiled.

"My love....everything will be alright, and if you need my assistance please don't be scared to ask. I'd be more that happy to help you."

Yoy wrapped your arms around his neck and smiled. "Oh Jumin! You are so adorable, I feel like my heart will explode from how much I love you! I'll take you up on that offer!"

"But of course my services don't come for free..." He smiled and you chuckled, shaking your head.

"Fair enough, what would you want in exchange?"

He pulled you tighter against his body and whispered in your ear. "I want to stay like this a little longer. Let me hold you for a while."

You blushed and then the two of you pulled away to kiss.

After a while, finally the two of you got down to business to defeat the awful project your teacher had assigned.

You had to admit it was a bit hard, since everytime Jumin would explain something to you you'd suddenly get distracted by how handsome he looked, and you'd pull him in for a kiss in the middle of an explanation.

Somehow you were able to finish the project and you got a good grade! When you try Jumin he picked.you up and spun you around, kissing you passionately. Then he'd smirk and grab you by the hand. "You deserve a prize after all your hard work."

And then he'd lead you to your room and the two of you would cuddle close in bed, the covers around you.

And you'd watch cat videos because thou shall not sin in this house.

the RFA bois react to empath MC

so in this context im gonna say MC is an empath in that she can feel other peoples emotions. they feel separate from hers though as she’s had a lot of time to learn to compartmentalize her emotions separate from others. she can also promote emotions to other people but not force them. think of it like the difference between being near a small campfire and wrapped up in a blanket in you house. if your feeling sad she can help you feel a little better help you not slip too far into depression but she cant solve the problem. if your surrounds by cold sadness she can be a small campfire to warm up next to until you have enough strength to make it home. some people can tell the difference between her promoted feelings and their genuine ones but its difficult and often takes a lot of practice.

I might add jaehee and Saeran a bit later. if you guys want me to leave a comment. otherwise i’ll probably move on to my next project.

Curious, defensive, once he accepts it he’s thankful that you can understand his feelings so easily

-        He doesn’t believe you at first. At least he says he doesn’t but you can feel his curiosity

-        You sigh defeated yes, but it isn’t what you think. I didn’t make you love me; I could never do that. there isn’t a point if those feeling aren’t genuine. I tried to calm you down, make you feel more safe and secure. You were so anxious I couldn’t stand to see you so hurting like that so I tried to encourage peace

-        You could feel him processing that, you watched as his grim and serious face slowly melted into the gentle smile you loved you could feel his warm and soothing love

-        can I show you something? I, I’ve never done this but I want to try to make you feel how I feel about you.so you can understand “you may”

-        you instructed him to breathe deeply. The way he did when he meditated (a hobby he had begun after reading about it in a book about Romanian vampires)

-        His face may not burn but he’s never found it difficult to fight a smile before he met you, his fingers may not tingle but they twitch with the need to hold you, and he feels that same giddy bubbliness when you laugh at his jokes, last but certainly not least you feel the aching need for you when you glance at him slyly

-        You laugh at the cosmic ridiculousness of it all, you two felt so similar yet so different two sides of the same coin.

Embarrassed, thinks you can mind read, tries to not think anything naughty thinks EVERYTHING naughty

-        When you tell him he turns bright red and you almost choke on the embarrassment he’s feeling

-        “so you um you know all my thoughts?” oh okay now you get it he doesn’t understand

-        No I can’t read your thoughts I just feel your emotions, like if your happy I can feel your happiness or if your sad I can feel that sadness

-        “so um can you feel if I feel um like nope never mind no its nothing I’m going to go study”

-        Now you’re curious so while he’s studying your focused on him searching for something anything beyond the pure embarrassment he’s feeling

-        Slowly you can feel a small piece of his emotion a wavering flickering determination to hide something

-        You don’t approve of spying. But he was acting so strange you were worried. So you watched him for the rest of the evening as you scampered around doing everything in his power to stay busy and avoid you

-        You can’t keep avoiding me forever Yoosung what are you so afraid ill feel that I haven’t felt already

-        That’s when he locks eyes with you and you can feel his need ;) at the same time that his face flushes a near impossible shade of red

-        “MC can you feel when I have naughty thoughts?” He blurts clearly a little panicked

-        You can’t help but giggle because you can feel his nervousness under laden by the obvious thoughts he’s been trying not to think

-        Only when you think about them really hard *you wiggle your eyebrows at him*

-        And now you’ve broken him he’s a puddle of embarrassment on the floor you should probably stop teasing him now

-        Yoosung listen if you’re worried about me thinking your weird, or not feeling the same way myself. You don’t need to. Honestly most of the time I feel how sincerely you love me, how much you enjoy being with me, how much you cherish me. Every now and then I feel you get a little needy and to be honest, I feel the exact same way. I love you of course I feel that way sometimes.

-        Then his lips are on yours and your drowning in the intensity of his emotion

-        How can such a cute and innocent looking boy feel so, hungry. You have to admit its intoxicating

-        you hold him tight against you and try to make him feel your love the way you feel his love right now

-        “that would have been a better example if I could fact check it but it seems right” he said with a glance to his brother lost at the computer in the corner of the room

-        He brightened instantly at that “oh yeah! that’s a good idea bet you can’t scare me”

-        “I can’t force emotions but I can promote them so let’s try it out. First it’s easier if you clear your mind and start with a blank slate” you instructed

-        then his eye’s glint and he asks if you can feel what characters are supposed to be feeling

-        you almost laugh at that but he’s serious

-        he thinks about how helpful that would be for his career, how easy it would make character analysis

-        He nods at that but you can feel his confusion grow mixed with curiosity so you continue

-        it’s in this moment that clarity dawns on Zen’s face you were so good at isolating people’s problems focusing on exactly who you needed to. the reason you were always so focused on him and his feelings was because you worked at it. You had practice.

-        You could feel his admiration though you weren’t sure what thoughts a brought it you had started talking and now it felt like you couldn’t stop you had never told anyone about how your power felt and now it was pouring out of you

-        “It’s like being in a crowded room and trying to isolate one person’s voice from all the others. it can be overwhelming because people don’t have inside emotions like they have inside voices. when something exciting happens in a movie, sometimes it feels like the whole theater is screaming.

-        “that’s why you hadn’t heard of me before we met. You avoided the theater because it was to emotional?”

-        “I couldn’t get into the story because the actors never felt genuine and I got a headache from all the people in the crowd it was easier to watch things at home where I couldn’t read people so easily”

-        “but you come see my plays now?”

-        You blushed at that averting your eyes “your acting is different. You actually feel the part. You make it easy for even me to believe you. if it’s you, I think it’s worth the headache from the crowd. If it’s you I think I understand how the crowd can get so worked up.”

he really won’t notice that you’re not eating

but what he does notice is that the food he made wasn’t touched at all

he comes home and the food he left was still the same ???

at first maybe you didn’t like it so you made food for yourself

and it went on for a few days but he notices that nothing’s getting touched in the kitchen ?? 

he confronts you and you confess

from then on he’ll only leave in the morning if you both eat together

and at lunch he’ll come home to make you eat 

and sometimes he’s gonna guilt trip you! kinda manipulative baby yoosung bad!!

“mc, if you don’t eat i’m gonna think you don’t like my cooking,” he’d whine and pout

he’s really not the one to scold, since sometimes he skip his meals too

He’s a gamer. As a gamer, he’s often in a mindset of competition.

There can only be one winner. There’s no “you tried” reward. It’s all or nothing.

He wants to keep you to himself. He hates it when anyone else looks at you, even his own friends in the RFA.

Sometimes, when you talk to your own friends, whether on the phone or in person, his shoulders suddenly begin to ache as they tense up and stay that way until you’re alone with only him again.

‘What do they have that I don’t?’, he’ll constantly ask himself, or ‘What if they hurt her?’

“MC, who are you talking to?” he’ll ask on occasion if you’re staring at your phone for a long time.

“Just a friend. We wanna hang out so I might see them later if that’s okay.”

He’ll wish this “hang out” somehow gets cancelled. He can’t stand you being with anyone but him.

He wants to watch your every step, but even he knows that’s a pretty immoral thing for a boyfriend to do. He just doesn’t want to lose you like he lost Rika.

You are his Rika.

You know how uneasy he gets about it sometimes. You can just tell. Maybe it’s his yandere eyes. Who knows.

You’ll find yourself often having to reassure him that your heart is reserved for him only.

He loves you and trusts you, so he takes your word for it, of course. But more often than not when you’re finished with your friends, he’ll insist to take you out afterwards, no matter how much you just want to lay on the couch and watch a movie. That’s not good enough for him.

ZEN

He wishes for the extinction of every other existing male on the planet.

“Men are dangerous animals, MC. You have to be careful, even if they are just ‘friends’.”

He starts to understand how you might feel sometimes when he gets a new leading role in a play with a female partner.

His chest will not stop that unpleasant tingling feeling until you’re at his side again.

So instead, he’ll ask you to introduce your friends to him so he knows just what kind of people you’re around.

Really it’s just that he wants to watch you every second and have an excuse for it so he doesn’t look like a creep.

You’re surprised at how nice he is at the first meeting of your friends, since he is pretty open about his jealousy. He refuses to hide anything from you.

He watches the way your guy friend speaks to you– their body language, their tone, he knows the signs. Behind your back, he might send the occasional glare in their direction.

When he starts feeling uneasy, he’ll be as physically close next to you as possible and have his arm around you to assert his dominance.

“MC, I’ll never take a lead role with a female if it means you’ll never talk to your friends again,” he jokes in good fun. You know he’s joking and laugh about it.

No he’s dead serious.

He apologises for any feelings of inadequacy you might feel while being his girlfriend, further exposing his own little spurts self-esteem issues every now and again. You and your friends are great people compared to him, he thinks a lot.

All it takes is a few kisses and he’s okay again :) just to get that inner beast going again.

JAEHEE

It’s a first for both of you being in a girlxgirl relationship. After talking about it for a long time, you both decided to be official even though you both shared your apprehensions about it.

She loves you so much for everything you’ve done for her, and she knew it was a different kind of love she felt when you first met.

But she still couldn’t help but feel unconvinced of your feelings. What if your feelings for her were just a phase amongst the confusion of your own personal life?

It was the case of “what if’s” that would haunt her endlessly.

You were well aware of how limited the number of Jaehee’s friends were, hoping that she had any at all besides the RFA.

Heck, even group nights with the other members made Jaehee uncomfortable. You were the only females in the group after all, and she knew all the men had taken a liking to you ever since you joined. Not to mention she was the one who was most resistant in letting a stranger join the RFA.

After the impact you’d had on her life, she could never let you go.

But Yoosung had his adorable nature, Zen was flawless in every sense of the word, Seven never ceased to make you laugh with his other-wordly humour, and Jumin practically had the world at his fingertips with his ridiculous wealth.

What was so special about her that you were drawn to?

“MC… are you sure you want to be with, well, me? I’m really nothing special compared to the others.”

It was your job to prove to her she was worth more than she could know, and that being together was the best decision you’d ever made.

Movie nights with only watching Zen’s musicals was all it really needed to take.

You stuck by his side, no matter how uncomfortable he knew you were in those eleven days, because you knew it was all for your safety. He was constantly paranoid that you would leave the house during that time.

So whenever you leave the house at all, he becomes paranoid all over again.

What is it that you have to do that’s so important that he can’t get it done for you?

You were his Princess. A princess shouldn’t have to leave their castle. They have servants for that.

The one other person he was most wary of was Zen. He didn’t ignore the fact that he was as handsome as the actor would brag he was. He wasn’t so immaturely prideful to not admit that.

“MC, you must know that a man with good looks alone isn’t enough to make a relationship work. Income and wisdom are the most important factors to sustain a well-balanced living.”

He’d remind you this constantly.

“Jumin, I love you. Not Zen.”

“I never said you did. It doesn’t hurt to remind someone of these things.”

He knew, compared to the rest of the RFA, he was lacking in something none of them were – easily and opening expressing emotion. And this isn’t to say his ability to feel were void of existence, no.

On the contrary, his feelings for you was the strongest sensation he’d ever felt. That’s why it was an absolute must that you had to remain in his life. He couldn’t live without you after acquiring a palate for the sweet taste of romantic intimacy.

He knew money didn’t mean everything to everyone, especially you. That’s why he’d try so hard to phsycally demonstrate his feelings as much as he could in front of you.

Smiling as much as possible, giving cuddles, forcing himself to laugh, anything else he could think of.

“Jumin, your smile is a little scary.”

But he should’ve already known that you loved him for him, and accepted him the way he was. Although, you often did get a kick out of his awkwardly forced laughs.

SEVEN

Jealousy? Try envious.

You were together as a couple with your undying love for one another, but how long was it going to last? He didn’t have the liberty to dictate what his life was. Not anymore, since joining the agency.

What kind of life was that for you and him? Kinda crap, he thought.

Watching you how well you go along with the RFA, as well as your own friends that he would see you hang out with through security cameras. As a safety precaution of course– who knows what the agency might do to you at this point.

You looked so happy, freely walking out and about, going wherever you wanted without so much as having to check behind your back every sixty seconds, paranoid that certain danger was stalking you; the very opposite to him.

He couldn’t give that to you when you were together; share such a peaceful lifestyle with you. He loathed himself for it.

He’d wish for one thing every now and then; that the RFA never existed, and everything they had that he didn’t would bless him instead.

Knowing it was selfish to expect you to stay with him through the dangers he was often facing, he couldn’t help but always ask you to keep him company for as long as you were able. Just the two of you. Just for his own peace of mind.

“I’m nowhere near as good enough as what the perfect boyfriend is, but… will you really stay with me, even though I do the things I do?”

No-one was ever “perfect” by a set agenda, you’d tell him, and that there was no reason to be jealous of the others.

“We’re getting married in a space-station. It’s everyone else who should be jealous of us.”

It didn’t matter if he didn’t think he was perfect for you, because all that mattered was that he was perfect to you.

SAERAN

Zen’s not the only one who wishes for mankind’s extinction. No-one deserved you.

No-one knew how much you meant to him. They might think they did, but not really.

You saved his life and freed him from exploitation  for heaven’s sake. He’d be crazy enough to not follow you to the ends of the earth.

No matter who you were hanging out with, no matter where you were going, he would always be right there with you. Even though he feels a little socially awkward about it.

You didn’t mind. You loved his company, but of course there were times where space was needed, and it was hard to achieve that with his solidified mindset.

“Saeran… You know I’m not going to leave you, right?”

Deep down he knew. But still, there was that nagging voice in the back of his mind, constantly telling him otherwise.

“I know, but the thought of it scares me sometimes.”

After all, the whole point of you being taken into Mint Eye was to befriend the RFA, and now you were really close with them. You’d spent a lot more time with them than Saeran during your stay.

He couldn’t stand the thought of you spending anymore time with them, especially his own brother. He would never leave you two alone in a room. He had to be around, making sure Saeyoung wouldn’t steal you away with his one-of-a-kind humorous personality.

He cracks a few jokes when Saeyoung is around, just to prove that he can be equally as funny and that there was something he could out-do is brother in.

‘Joke contest: who can make MC laugh the most’ was how every movie night was spent at the bunker.

Vanderwood gets reeled into it a couple of times.

You have to reassure him that not everything is a competition, and that he was always #1 in your heart

You definitely go overboard when it comes to putting ornaments on the tree but Yoosung adores it anyway

After saving his brother and ensuring the safety of you and the RFA, Seven was ready to enjoy the holiday season

He was in luck since you’re a holiday festive fanatic and Seven loves it

Every since inch of his home was covered in holiday decorations thanks to your surplus of Christmas decor

You even helped Seven decorate the Christmas tree with only cat ornaments, his vision of perfection

The two of you were always seen with holiday sweaters and Santa hats during the holidays season

When Christmas Day comes, Seven is touched by all of the presents you give him, truly feeling the holiday spirit

Seven use to dread the holiday season but thanks to you, he’s finally found happiness in it

V

V loves the holiday season although he doesn’t think he enjoys it nearly as much as you do

The two of you take tons of photos of anything holiday related and hang them all over his home

Instead of decorating a Christmas tree, you put little lights and tiny Santa hats on his cacti plants, he adores it

V isn’t the biggest fan of the cold weather so you buy him lots of Christmas sweaters so he can wear them instead of his usual cardigans

Both of you love to snuggle up on the couch together and have a Christmas movie marathon

V typically falls asleep during the movies so you always re-tell the story to him, it’s your Christmas goal to get V to stay awake for the movie marathon

Spending the holiday season with you is V’s favorite part of the season, especially since you’re so festive

Saeran was definitely anxious to spend the holiday season with someone as festive as you

But you reassured him that you’d get him into the Christmas spirit in no time

You had him help decorate the house, although Saeran mainly ate Christmas cookies while you put up the decorations

Saeran eventually starts helping out even though he isn’t the best at it and the tree ends up being lop sided with ornaments but you still love it

He loved looking at all of the Christmas lights that people would hang up so the two of you go around the neighborhood to admire the twinkling lights

You buy him tons of Christmas sweaters to match you and this boy almost never takes them off

Saeran is slowly warming up to the idea of the holiday season although with your festive spirit, it doesn’t take him long

☼ V Route Review ☼

I have had so many messages asking for my input on the route and the characters, so here it is!!! (p.s. I made that gif^^^^ I’m pretty impressed with myself ?? wow lmao) 

Heavy on spoilers so the text is under a cut! It’s also pretty lengthy so...you’ve been warned haha. 

This route had me feeling different ways as I moved through the days. I’ll try to touch on as many subjects as I can, and I am not sure how lengthy this will be getting. Some themes/aspects I both liked and disliked for different reasons. It is in my nature to debate myself and see both sides to things, so if you see me basically contradicting myself or arguing with a point I made previously, that is why. 

I am basing this on the Good End play-through alone, as that makes the most sense.

 I’d also like to state that, of course, these are all my personal opinion. If you disagree with anything in my review then that’s great! But on the contrary, you will not find me fighting you over opinions. If you come into my box to attack me over what I have to say about the route, I will simply ignore. I’m really sorry I have to say this, but as I have unfortunately already seen several...distasteful arguments over this route, I feel it needs to be said. I think everyones opinions are valid and this is by no means me trying to force my opinions or tell you that what you feel and think is wrong! It’s just my analysis^^

I’d like to preface this by saying that I did have fun and enjoyed the route for entertainment purposes. We got to see more of those minor characters we have been craving (i.e. Saeran, Rika, and even Vanderwood!)  

I think I am not alone in my wanting to see more of Mint Eye and the interactions between Saeran and Rika (as well as V, of course). I am so glad this route focused a lot on that aspect. Before the route was released, I thought it would make the most sense to approach it from MC being involved with Mint Eye more in order to get closer to V and/or Saeran, and after playing it I still believe they made a smart choice! 

The beginning of the route was everything I wanted. We had plenty of Saeran, we had our set-up. Game testers in an unknown place. I had stated this before but I honestly loved this premise so much more than “wow you’re now in some random apartment and btw you can’t leave.”  They kept it otome fanciful while making it a bit more believable, I was really happy with that. And when I first saw V in his Mint Eye garb my heart dropped! I especially love the CG where Saeran is behind him with the flowers! 

I’m kind of a sucker for story lines where you’re a captive and someone rescues you, so I was so so happy with the plot for this route. Not to mention being in the middle of not TWO people, but THREE. I was not expecting Rika to be so infatuated with MC as well. That threw me for a loop, and hats off to Cheritz for that because I was digging it lolol. 

I adored learning about V’s mother. That was something I hadn’t expected, and I am just so happy that we got to see what we did. The CG’s were so heartwarming, and the diary entries and thoughts were just beautiful. I loved seeing V progress in his relationship with his mother, and how her love for him helped him be who he truly was. For once, it was nice to see a parent in this game really nurture their kid and help them grow. 

Lastly, I would like to add that I was completely pleased with the timeline of this route, simply for Saeran. I was so curious what he was like during the formation of Mint Eye. I loved seeing this glimpse of ‘Ray’ since this takes place a mere 6 months ? after Rika’s “death” so it is still very fresh. Mint Eye is very new. The building isn’t even completed yet--

The basement....yikes. Yes, the last and most important detail to any good, well functioning cult hideout--the creepy dungeon-esque torture chambers complete with jail cells and the happy shrieks of pain excitement from loyal followers. 

MC is kinda joining this clusterfuck in its heyday. We are seeing these characters before they are too far gone. They’re figuring things out, Saeran is still mostly his kind and calm self, Rika is still questioning very much her relationship with V and the RFA, as well as her inner demon. I think it was an integral part of the story and a very smart placement for this route. 

Overall, there were plenty of things I enjoyed and also things that bugged me. I think Cheritz did a very good job, all things considered. But the Good Ending left me feeling...more dissatisfied than I had hoped. 

As I drew nearer to the ending, I got the overall feeling of a kid watching your parents argue. A lot of the interactions as the days rolled on were quite repetitive and honestly I found myself getting bored reading them. They filled up the days with an onslaught of chats and VN’s featuring Rika talking about loving her demons--we GET IT. YOU LIKE BEING EVIL-- V being a wet blanket and a masochist, and lots and LOTS AND LOTS of talking about the Sun. To the point that most of the language and poetic descriptions of love and suns just started to mesh together, seeming fake deep and overworked and mundane. 

 Instead of these repetitive chats, we should have had more interactions with V, where he actually relies on MC and they learn more about each other. Most of the time MC was with V he was either SICK or hurt or...asleep. Or weirdly sitting in Saeyoung’s car outside for no apparent reason. Why? It almost seems lazy. Like they couldn’t figure out a way for V and MC to interact and bond more (or it was just too difficult to squeeze it in) so they kept find reasons to keep them apart. I felt the text messages from V were the most he really tried to communicate with MC and really learn about her. Most of the texts were philosophical back and forth or him asking her how he should deal with feelings like apprehension in art when faced with criticism etc. 

I think we could have scrapped quite a few of the lovey-dovey VNs where Rika and V are proclaiming their undying dark love over and over again or like...in bed together (groan)...and replaced it with, I don’t know, maybe MC and V? Actually learning about each other????

It didn’t bother me so much during the route that V had a hard time confessing that he had feelings for MC. That part seemed very natural. What bothered me was just the complete lack of true interaction with V. If he was so obsessed with Rika, we would really need to see just why he fell for MC. I’m not satisfied with the answer that MC is naive, or that she’s so good and pure just because she didn’t form an evil cult. 

I felt more romance from Rika than I did from V. And in the other routes, we ALWAYS help the characters overcome their fears and learn to be better people. We help Zen get in touch with his family again, and we love him for his heart not his looks. We help Jumin overcome his issues with women and possession. We help Jaehee finally go for her dreams. We help Yoosung learn to work through grief and become mature. And Saeyoung of course, we help him accept love, and finally search for his brother. This didn’t happen with V. Well, it did a little bit. I liked that MC wasn’t pushy, and she encouraged him that he could find true love! I liked that part a lot. But for the majority, I just felt more like a passive observer in the route. Talking to V seemed like you were talking to a brick wall at times, and no matter what you say he still wants to sacrifice himself. So it felt like, while we said kind and encouraging words, V sort of did his own thing until he figured it out himself. 

 Not to mention the fact that they gave him an out in the end. Why was it Yoosung who makes Rika face what she has done? Don’t get me wrong, it was still wonderful to see Yoosung taking charge and using his familial love to push her to get the help she needs! I was so happy! But... It should have been V. Everything got tidied up for him, and apart from telling her it’s over, I didn’t see much development of his character towards the ending. I wanted to see him go from refusing medical treatment in order to protect Rika, to finally realizing what she is doing is wrong, she needs help, and having her face the authorities. 

And what about Saeran??? That was handled so oddly? It’s like everyone forgot he existed or didn’t care what happened to him? It was the weirdest from V. It left a sour taste in my mouth that they made it seem like Saeran died and yet V is off getting puka shell necklaces or whatever for 2 years and then comes back with the strength to love. Like, that’s all well and good but....did you forget about Saeran? And how are you going to tell Saeyoung his brother is dead now even though the only thing he asked of you was to keep Saeran safe. 

I TRULY HOPE they touch on this in the after ending, because I don’t think it was like V at all to just toss Saeran aside like that. -_-;; 

I loved the route for what it was. I’m playing it again, and I’ll continue to play for the different endings. I am so grateful to Cheritz for this content and for being gracious enough to give us a route for V! Some days had me on the edge of my seat, some parts had me laughing or made my heart ache completely. I probably sound really nitpicky with some of the above text lol but in all honesty I loved the route and had a ton of fun playing it. The music was brilliant! The CGs were beautiful, I really love whoever the artist(s) was that worked on these for the route. Playing this game again was a bit surreal, and I found myself filled with memories of when I first downloaded and played the game (obsessively). I think the route was worth the wait.

-ON SAERAN-

I think it goes without saying but I will say it anyway--I LOVED SEEING MORE SAERAN!!! Going into this route, I had the lowest of hopes for Saeran interaction. It’s better to have low expectations and then be thrilled instead of high expectations and disappointed, right? We got to learn so much about his character, just from the few interactions we had with him. His confirmation of loving ice cream, he enjoys being outdoors, he loves flowers and has even gone so far as to know the language of flowers (which is impressive), he has an intense need for validation and love, and finally, due to his extreme circumstances--he has compartmentalized his feelings and personalities in order to protect himself. 

Learning his softer side was a shock as well as a pleasant surprise. I felt my heart warming up as I chat with him.  

On top of that, I would also like to point out that since this takes place over a year (?) prior to the regular routes...it was heartbreaking and eye opening to see how often he was taking medicine/drugs. 

Saeran turned into unknown when he drank the elixir (as the majority of what he took “with each meal” was just painkillers). It was so sad to see just how loaded up with drugs he was. And it gives you a scary comparison between ‘Ray’ in this route and the Unknown we know from the original game. I can’t imagine just how many things he is taking during the original. Wow. I just kept clinging to the memory that we save him in Saeyoung’s route lol. 

-ON RIKA-

I loved learning about Rika’s backstory. We did learn a bit from the normal routes and secret endings, but I think it helped to get a glimpse into her own perspective of her life. I think it was also really important, this feeling that she hadn’t even disclosed this information (her school life/some of her childhood and feelings about her darkness) to even V himself. She really opened up to MC, apparently more than anyone else, EVER. This was strange to me at first...but I think it is a positive. I felt that she was just so desperate for someone to be close to her again, and she latched on to MC. 

Her character is so interesting and I know she’s a topic of such controversy in the fandom, but I liked hearing her thoughts on why she did what she did. It’s something I wanted since I finished the secret endings. I hope in this unreleased after ending we might see her making progress in treatment.

After Seven told a joke at the Christmas  party, you couldn’t help but laugh. A pure, genuine, happy laugh. The boys all shared a collective gasp. 

Jumin 

He stopped mid sip of his glass of wine to look at you. A small smile forming on his lips as he too chuckled.  “ MC you are so interesting. Always full of life what an adorable laugh..” 

Jaehee 

Jaehee shook her head, “ MC you have a very simple humor don’t you? If you wanted real jokes there is plenty in Zen’s new musical!” she chirped sipping her coffee. She smiled none the less glad that everyone was having a great time

Yoosung 

Yoosung was laughing beside you, you both would pause, catch eachothers eye and set eachother off again laughing. Yoosung calmed down a bit, “ Oh, MC thats too funny! You are so full of life! Your laugh reminds me of my favourite medic class in LOLOL! The medic laughs so cu- I mean just like you!” 

Zen

Zen would put an arm over your shoulder, “ Ah MC! You’re laugh is so cute! You’re easier to please than a child how adorable! This princess needs her prince to protect that ray of sunshine that is your laugh!” he snickered, “ Did you like that? It was from a play I recently performed not too long ago.. Care to watch it with me later?”

Saeyoung would watch you a second and chuckle along with you, he didnt think that joke was that funny. He thought it was a terrible joke. But boy did he love to see you laugh. It made his heart pound! he kept up the act making jokes and puns until you were crying with laughter begging him to stop. He laughed along with you, face growing hot. “She is so fucking adorable!” 

He covered his mouth quickly because. fuck. he just said that out loud. Good thing MC was laughing too hard to hear him!

Saeran 

He didnt enjoy his brothers antics or jokes. In fact he rolled his eyes harder than he ever had in his entire life. Your laugh made him pause, he flicked his eyes to you in surprise. That laugh. So pure and simple. Like a childs. he covered his mouth to hid his smile, he cleared his throat, “C’mon MC… his joke wasn’t that funny… I have so many better ones!” he looked away from you to hide his blush.

 Jihyun would quickly turn to you with a full grin, laughing as well, he would carefully reach over and brush hair out of your eyes, “ MC… you’re such a warm soul~”  he’d pull you into a gentle side hug and close his eyes. He could almost see your face in his minds eye, that laugh gave him the feeling of drinking a warm cup of tea.

Yoosung finally got to see you at the RFA party, even if his eye was still bandaged up, he was over the moon he got to see your face. For some reason it didn’t matter that he’d never met you before, he just couldn’t wait to take you in his arms. When you smiled, it blew him away, the braces you wore made your smile literally sparkle, he simply couldn’t stop grinning to himself. He had you, all of you, and he’d protect that smile with his life.

Zen:

He didn’t flinch, he didn’t let you say anything, as soon as he saw that smile of yours for the first time, his heart leapt. To see real joy spread across your features, see the braces you were wearing that lit up your smile even more, he just had to kiss you. And boy did he. He didn’t care if the others were watching, in fact the more than saw you two kiss the better, then everyone would know you were his…and he was yours.

Jumin:

He couldn’t stop staring at you. You wore braces? It just added to your beauty. He had no idea why you were wearing them, but he was gonna make sure that his chef prepared food that you could eat, make you as comfortable as possible. But mainly, he just wanted you to keep smiling the way you were doing so. To never stop. That was his mission.

At first, he wanted to tease you relentlessly! You looked oh so adorable with those braces on, and my gosh was he about to when his guilt took over. He was sure you’d get upset, so he held back and just grinned at you like an idiot, and the dork he is. That just made you smile more, causing his heart to swell with the love he had for you. He was so lucky to have found you, braces and all. The teasing came later.

Saeran:

What were those across your teeth? He’d never actually seen any before to be honest. He wasn’t too sure how to ask, but when he finally plucked up the courage you happily explained. He wasn’t disgusted or repulsed by them, just simply wanted to know what the braces were doing. In fact, he really liked them, you suited them so well and also asked if they’d stay on forever, hoping you’d stay this cute all the time, even if he wouldn’t admit it. His heart sank a little when you said they’d come off in a year or so, but he guessed once they were off he’d see a new smile. He’d look forward to that, but for now, he’s gonna make you smile as much as possible and make memories with those braces as he could.

V:

He couldn’t exactly see that you were wearing braces, bless him, but when you told him he didn’t care. To him, you were beautiful no matter what, he just wished he could see you smiling with them on. Actually, he just wanted to kiss you, so he leant down and you met him part way. All he cared about was loving you as who you were, braces or no braces.

Yoosung

“I think my dorm is haunted.”

Everyday he logs into the chatroom to tell everyone the weird things that are happening around his dorm room

Lights flickering on and off

The chair scraping against the floor as it moves on its own

“Seven I’m telling you!!! My guild members all told me that they can hear a girl laughing whenever my mic is on!!!”

Will probably sleep at another member’s house for a while ;;;

And when he returns he’ll see you typing scary messages on his computer

Let’s face it, there’ll be a lot of screaming and tears from Yoosung

But when he calms down you two start talking and he finds out you're not such a bad person ghost after all

“Did you have to scare me that much, MC? I was terrified you know!” ;;;; poor kid ;;;

Spends his days playing LOLOL, going to school and hanging out with you most of the time

And it was great at first because for the first time, he got to play pranks on other people

You told him the answers for his tests it wasn’t cheating okay, you just told him enough so he could pass ;;;

You guys have so much fun together that you find yourself more and more attracted to him

But you realize he’s spending waaaay too much time with you instead of his friends

Instead of real people

He doesn’t even log in to the RFA chatroom anymore

And you tell him to live his life and just forget about you but he confesses his feelings for you and why is the world so unfair and cruel to him?

First Rika, now you? He’s so deeply and madly in love with you and he doesn’t know what to do okay

And you realize...he has to let you go

It will be painful --you would say goodbye but he’d beg you not to leave him

There will be a lot of tears and begging and arguing but in the end, you make him understand that you’re already gone, that he can never have a future with you

And he’s such a bright kid with so much potential

Yoosung will be a zombie for months --all the RFA members try to help him but they can’t bring you back anymore

He starts recovering after a while, thinking you’ve gone to a better place and his grades start to improve

When he graduates he’s surrounded by the RFA members and his friends

He’s so happy that doesn’t notice you watching him with a smile on your face and tears in your eyes

Zen

How can a ghost look so breathtaking?

When he first found out you were a ghost, he couldn’t believe it because aren’t ghosts supposed to look scary and bloody? ;;;

He’s surprised that he could touch you but he’s relieved that he can

Fans and paparazzi would go INSANE trying to figure out who Zen’s girlfriend is

You guys will just laugh it off and you’d even scare some of the paparazzi stalking Zen

Date nights are something else

“One ticket, sir?”

And he would almost argue that the guy was being rude because the most beautiful woman on the planet was beside him

But then, nobody else can see you, can they?

He’ll hold his tongue and pretend everything's okay

But you see the weight it puts on his shoulders, and you’re so grateful to him for accepting you as is (ie. dead)

You always have the best seat in the house during his performances (aka hovering above the crowd lol)

But whenever you see women looking at him and Zen ignoring everyone, you start to feel guilty

Because those women were all alive and you weren’t; you may love each other, but your love can only go so far

And day by day you feel worse seeing Zen fawn over you when you can never give him a child who would inherit his good looks

So you sit down with him one night and discuss it with him but he immediately stops you

“MC, for a long time I’ve been in relationships where they just wanted me for my fame and my good looks. You’re the first person I’ve met who loves me for me. I want to spend my life with you. Someday, we’ll be together, my princess. Please stay with me until then.”

You agree to stay and you guys are happy for quite sometime but you still can’t shake the feeling that you’re holding him back

“Hyun...I need to go.”

“Go? Go where? Let me grab my ja--”

“No, Hyun. You can’t come with me.”

Dread and fear fills him

And you’re both crying because you both love each other and he doesn’t want you to go

But in the end, he makes you a promise

“My princess, I can’t stop you from leaving...but please wait for me. I will surely find my way back to you again.”

And after a successful career and a long and fruitful life, you’re there waiting for him with a smile

Jaehee

She only saw you when it was absolutely pouring, at the back of the coffee shop on her way to or from the office

You quickly became her confidante, someone she could rage to about her boss or gush about Zen’s work

It became a routine, since you were always at the same place at the same time

You don’t talk much about yourself, but she takes note of every little detail you give

And soon it all kind of adds up

There was an accident not too far from the shop, with one single fatality, someone at the wrong place at the wrong time

And her heart just;;;;

Breaks

She wants to help you, because you’ve been such a comfort to her, but she doesn’t know how

But you tell her that just spending time with her is more than enough

Her heart is bursting with tears

Spirits are usually caused by lingering regrets or emotions right?

Jaehee suggests leaving the coffee shop one evening, taking a walk

Cautiously, you accept, letting her lead you around at first before you take over, pointing out places you frequented when you lived, where you had worked, your favorite store, the people you had met, the plans you had made

She listens, beaming the entire time, urging you on

When at last, you find yourself back at the coffee shop, which is now closed for the night

“This was the plan all along, wasn’t it Jaehee? To say goodbye properly.”

She takes your hands and promises to think of you every day, and that she truly believes she’ll meet you again some day

You hug each other for a long time before you pass on

Jumin

It’s so fun to be invisible in a CEO’s penthouse and office

You cause a lot of trouble before getting caught by the one and only Jumin Han

He seems so dull, but he takes the whole ghost situation impressively well?

Asks you why you’re causing mischief at C&R of all places

And you reveal your death was a result of a poorly managed project that links back to his company

He’s stunned and ashamed

But you watch in surprise as he promptly tasks Assistant Kang with appointing an investigation team

And as you spend more time haunting his apartment with him you two begin to fall in love with each other

He’s so tall but that isn’t a problem when you can just float to give him proper ghostly kisses

Elizabeth the 3rd goes absolutely bonkers chasing you around, and the pictures Jumin attempts to take are so confusing and a mess of blurs and the rest of the RFA are so confused

Reads up on spirit lore so that he doesn’t accidentally hurt you with iron or send you away somehow

Requests that you not play tricks on his staff, including but not limited to his maid, his guards, his chef, his stylist, his nutritionist, Elizabeth’s stylist, Elizabeth’s nutritionist, Jaehee ;;;

But he would LOVE it when you scare the hell out of his father’s new girlfriends like he would have such a hard time keeping that smirk off his face

Everything is actually good with Jumin; he doesn’t mind being with you and often reminds you that you are the love of his life and he doesn’t care if you’re dead --he loves you all the same and he just wants you by his side

Nothing can harm you, no other guy can have you and you’re with him virtually 24/7 --he’s the happiest man alive

Until the day his father sets him up with another woman

They need to secure the next heir to C&R

And you can never give him that

He refuses his father, saying he doesn’t care about heirs but it’s too late; you realize you can never give him a future --no marriage, no baby, no growing old together because you’re dead

At the same time, the investigation of your death comes to a close, with consequences being given to those involved in the project

So there was no reason for you to hang around his penthouse anymore..right?

Even though you loved him, you know you can never be together

Jumin would tell you over and over again that he only wants you and needs nothing else but you but he can see he’s already losing you

And the day you leave him is the day Jumin Han becomes the perfect puppet of his father

Saeyoung

Hates making you upset for many reasons, which includes the fact that you can fry his technology with a mere thought

Neither of you exist in the world, but you exist to each other and that’s all you can really ask for

Think of all the pranks you can play on Yoosung

You leave messages in blood everywhere, reminding him to eat right and shower and clean up his workspace a little

It’s a little startling at first, but he finds himself looking forward to finding them

And looking forward to hanging out with you

And it takes him a while, but he eventually realizes he’s in love with you

Because you’re so much fun to hang out with and you get all his jokes and his puns

And he wants to spend his life pranking people with you

But remember his route, when he pushed you away so much?

This time, you’re the one who pushes him away when you realize that Saeyoung never deserved this

You’ll help him escape the clutches of his agency, help him start a new life

But it’s a life without you in the picture

“MC, please, don’t do this. I love you!”

“Saeyoung, you don’t mean that! I can never give you the future you want. You and Saeran deserve so much more”

“MC, please. Please.”

He would actually get down on his knees and beg you to stay

But it isn’t right and you both knew it

So when you move on, Saeyoung shuts down

And Saeran does his best to comfort his brother but Saeyoung is a hollow shell for a long time

Until one day he brings out 707 again and starts making jokes and saying nonsense and Saeran is both relieved and even more upset that his brother’s coping mechanism has kicked in; he knows Saeyoung is still devastated inside

Saeyoung asks Saeran to come with him to the cemetery and when they get there, Saeyoung stops in front of a tombstone with your name on it

And he starts crying again

“She was the one I wanted to take to the space station, Saeran.”

V

The famous photographer V seems to have a new muse in his recent works

The problem is he never means to

You just sort of show up in his photos

A hand caressing a flower here, the back of your head there, always just out of frame, making it impossible to get a good look

He doesn’t know what to make of it

So he posts the photos in the chatroom and it scares the hell out of Yoosung

Seven makes it 100 times worse and talks about all the signs of a haunting

“Better check your phone, V, make sure there aren’t any pictures of you while you’re sleeping.”

There aren’t but he finds dozens of black shots in his camera roll? Like his phone’s camera had gone off in his pocket or something

Right?

It isn’t until his equipment battery drains alarmingly fast that he tries something new

“Can I have a proper shot of you?”

And he uses his phone to take a few pictures around him

And in the very last one you’re there, a full-bodied apparition, staring right into the camera  

His heart stops oh God what is this Seven was right

You finally reveal yourself, a little embarrassed at being caught

But really if you could haunt anyone wouldn’t you choose a darling like Jihyun?

He’s so curious about you, but at the same time is reluctant to bring up any bad feelings or memories you may still be harboring

Being an empathetic being, you can feel a sort of sadness buried deep in his heart

You help him take photos sometimes, since you don’t have to worry about getting hurt and you have access to all these weird angles thank you floating skills

You still photobomb any selfies he takes and take shots of him when he isn’t paying attention

RFA is confused as to why is V suddenly posting enough pictures to the messenger to rival Zen‘s selfies???

Deep discussions at the dead aha of night

If there’s an afterlife, why did you decide to stay behind?

“I had a feeling that there was something I needed to do.”

“And that involved sneaking into my work?”

He’ll never stop teasing you for that

As you get to know him, you grow more and more adamant about him moving on from the past

Ironic coming from a ghost

He seems determined to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders

So you finally tell him about when you were alive and your untimely departure from life, and that holding on to what cannot be is what kept you here in the first place

While it has a silver lining and let you meet him, nothing good comes from never letting go of guilt and pain

This man is so moved

You believe in him so much???

“I'll try, MC, thank you.”

“You’d better or I'll drain every camera battery from here to the United States.”

Can you actually do that???

You urge him to reconnect with the RFA for his own sake

Being alone is fine and all but isolation is something else entirely

Take it from a spirit who hadn't had a real conversation with anyone in years

He reconnects with the RFA and when you finally see him surrounded by the people he loves you see a bright light

As V turns his camera to you, you smile at him and wave goodbye before moving on

Saeran

As a ghost, you were basically nonexistent to the living unless you made a racket

It was a very lonely type of existence

Until Saeran came along, and was able to see and hear you

Turns out he was almost as isolated as you, though more by choice stemming from his past

For once in his life, somebody understands him and accepts him for who he is

Aside from his brother at least

He looked forward to every minute spent with you and he wasn’t afraid to show you his true self; you didn’t judge him and you weren’t scared of him

He couldn’t hurt you physically and he enjoyed your company so there was no reason to hurt you with his words or push you away

But he would never hurt you --because he’s already fallen for you

You’re his guardian angel

Saeyoung would always wonder why his brother stays in his room for most of the day but he didn’t pry

So Saeran enjoyed his days with you

Until you started talking nonsense about how he should live his life and spend time with his brother more, be with other people

He had no future with you and you only wanted the best for him

“How would you know what’s best for me?!”

“Because I love you, Saeran! This isn’t the life your brother envisioned for you!”

“I will do whatever I damn well please with my time on this earth!”

“Saeran--”

“I love you! Can’t you see that? I love you, MC! I don’t want to live in a world without you!”

You realize that the only way for him to move on is if you remove yourself from the picture

And you did

Saeyoung was startled when his brother started screaming and breaking things and nothing he did could comfort his brother

Why was he destined to suffer? Why did you leave him? You said you loved him --was that just a lie?

Eventually Saeran gets tired and Saeyoung holds him as he cries

Saeran would have a hard time loving someone again

And Saeyoung would always hear him crying in his sleep

But eventually, everyone in the RFA would help him move on and Saeran will learn to smile again

He still misses you though, and there will always be a special place in his heart for you

Vanderwood

He’s not scared of you

In fact, he asks for your help ;;;

His missions are now a piece of cake thanks to you

There’s an enemy waiting for him in the next corner? You tell him immediately since he’s the only one who can hear you

Surprise CCTV cameras? No prob, you can scramble the wires by passing through them!

Your presence calmed him and he felt like everything would be okay as long as you were with him

After all, if you were dead, no one could find you, no one could harm you and no one could take you away from him

But that’s the problem

You’re already dead

He’s in love with a dead girl

And how selfish could he get, holding on to you when you should’ve moved on a long time ago?

He would push you away, telling you to move on or go “haunt a different house, I don’t care”

But he does care

He cares so much

That’s why he needs to let you go

And when you’ve had enough of his tricks, his harsh words, his insistence that he never loved you, you finally leave him and move on

And he would drown himself in alcohol and smoke everyday

Vanderwood never thought he was capable of love before he met you, but your absence will haunt him, along with his regrets and his sorrows

Yoosung: 

he’s always had a fascination with superheroes 

and always loved pretending to be one in his game

there was one he had admired for a while though

one who fought crime around his town and he only saw through sightings online

he really looked up to them 

one day, after seeing another one of their sightings, he noticed that they looked familiar

he couldn’t quite place his finger on it, considering they were wearing a mask

so he showed you the picture to see if maybe you could help him

”Oh, that’s me”

he laughed, thinking you were kidding until he saw your confused look

he then looked at the picture again and back at you

and then it clicked

he had a million and three questions, but none of them were coming out

”Wha-? How?! When do you-?? What?!”

”Well you’re just always so immersed in your game that you never notice when I go out to do that”

he was so floored

didn’t even know what to say

you thought that he had known since he talked about it so much

but you didn’t realize that he didn’t know that was you

and honestly, any time you come home after fighting crime, seeing you in your suit, it just really gets him going

as soon as they got knocked to the floor and dragged out, you turned to Jumin, whose expression you could not read

so he set out to follow you one night to find out 

he saw you leave and started following close behind, hood over his head to hide his identity 

he followed you for an hour, noticing that you didn’t really have a set destination, you were just walking around the shady parts of town 

after walking down a particularly shady alley, he looked up only to not find you anymore 

he felt a strong set of arms grab him into a choke-hold 

“Don’t think I didn’t notice you following me for over an hour, what do you want?” 

“MC! MC!” 

“Saeyoung? What the hell are you doing here?!” you asked, letting him go instantly

Zen - this just makes you 1000x cuter - because he's like 5'10 or whatever, you compliment him more - he's SO MUCH MORE GENTLE AND AFFECTIONATE W YOU - head pats. but he sensed something was wrong when mc started growing their hair out 0because! why! mc?! you always said long hair bothers you so much??

what actually got his attention was when mc wouldn’t keep up discussions with him

jumin had always enjoyed his talks with mc, always taking an interesting turn, mc always having an opinion they wanted to voice and things they wanted to explain

it’s like he wakes up from a spell and notices the cracks in reality for the first time in along time

because! how had he not noticed how sad mc had become??

how long had he let it go on?!

this was totally unacceptable!

is halfway through the phone call booking an appointment with a psychiatrist when mc walks in and silently, very politely asks him to not

before he knows it he has cancelled the call because how! could he not listen to his prince/ss??

looks despondently at his phone for a moment before taking in a tired looking mc

my love, what has happened? why have you become so depressed?

it takes a bit gentle coaxing, but mc finally admits,warily, as to why they were trying to do more feminine things and how it made them feel

is so sorry!! hugs mc tight and apologizes profusely, saying that he would rather see them happy than become a shell of what they were

when mc mentions it was mostly their own fear of losing jumin than the fact that they felt pressured because of him wanting to see them in fancy dresses

still blames himself 90% at least

tells mc how he loves them so much and how he could never even think of spending a day without them

makes a habit of telling them how much they mean to him every day so this never happens again

also spoils mc with all the fighting games and guy clothes they want. even more than he used to before

V/Jihyun

this angel notices the slight changes immediately

the slight changes that mc starts making in their dressing, in the way they speak, in the way they hold themselves

is confused as heck because ??? what is happening to mc???

doesn’t say anything at first because it’s mc’s choice what they wear and how they act

also because he senses they are troubled and doesn’t want to add to it???

only thing is!! they are not acting and dressing how they want to! and that is the cause of mc’s ongoing angst!

feels so bad when he figures it out!

decides to intervene immediately because this concerns his love’s wellbeing!

is getting twitchy while he waits for mc to come back from their trip to the grocery store

it’s a weird greeting to get home to, but jihyun is very expressive of his feelings so mc is not too alarmed

but something seems off so mc goes to sit beside their angel. he seems to have something to say afterall

v gently takes mc’s hands in his own and waits till he’s sure they are looking at him

but he likes to see this new side of mc

and he knows mc must have a reason for such a drastic change so suddenly

when mc closes up on the issue he notices and immediately realizes something is wrong

gets pissed but tries not to react angrily because he! is just! worried!

manages to make mc spill because what?? did someone threaten you?! you know i’ll make their life miserable just tell me who, mc!

is very confused when mc blurts out their insecurity because???

“Well, that was disappointing…”

“You’re being too polite. That was awful.”

“I knew holding auditions would be stupid. You made me waste the whole week on this.”

“One week that you couldn’t skip class to jerk off to whatever weird shit you’re into, Saeran…”

“Shut up before I’ll break this pretty face of yours, Zen.”

“Ah, come on guys, let’s not fight right now, we have bigger problems right now?”

“Yoosung is right, nobody met our expectations, we still don’t have a vocalist and the festival is in less than a month…”

“Can’t we really ask Rika to come back? “

“I talked to V about this. She’s still recovering.”

“From what? From her diva tantrum?”

“Saeran, don’t even start, please…”

“No, fuck that! Is she still sensitive because she realized she’s not that perfect and she doesn’t have her boyfriend to cover up for her anymore? Come on, I can’t be the only one thinking about this! Saeyoung, some help here?”

“Oh, I don’t have a vote here, I’m just the DJ, or at least that’s what she said…”

“I’ll take that as a help. See? That girl has a major diva complex!”

“Saeran, don’t talk about my cousin like that, please.”

Okay, you’re pretty sure by now you shouldn’t be listening to this conversation. What were you even thinking? Coming here was a stupid idea, entering by the wrong door was a stupid idea, even considering this audition was stupid! Mental note: never let yourself be hypnotized by a pair of dreamy eyes! That is how you mother got pregnant, right? You giggle, your mom is pretty funny when she’s not running away to follow her frustrated dreams from her teenage days…

“Guys? I found one more!” you’re taken aback by this redhead guy pointing to you behind the curtains. Shit! “Aren’t you a little late?” he asks playfully.

“I… got lost.” You say, trying to avoid his gaze. “Anyway, I’m going now…” you try to turn your back on him, but he grabs your hand and leads you to the stage. “W-wait, I… I don’t…”

“Don’t be shy! Hey, guys, look what I found!” he points at you in a exaggerated way. Did he really just call you a “what”?

You find six pairs of eyes staring at you. Five guys and one girl look at you curiously, as if you were some kind of alien or something.

“What’s your name?” the brunette one asks without any expression in his face or voice.

“Hum�� MC.”

“Okay, hum MC, what are you going to sing?” the brunette puts his pen on a paper waiting for your answer. He’s… scary, he looks like a teacher.

“I… I, okay, this was a misunderstanding. I was… I was trying to find the magician club.” Is there a magician club? Shit! Why can’t you even lie properly right now?

“The magician club has meetings on Wednesdays.” The blond one states and smiles sweetly, oh… maybe this one is nicer.

“Don’t act like the magician club is cool, Yoosung.” The silver haired one scoffs, gaining a glare from the blond one. “Are you lost, sweetie? Maybe I can help you…” oh, wait! This one you actually know, he was in the musical theater club too, what was his name again?

“Ugh, there he goes again…” this other redhead groans and mutters, giving quick annoyed glances to you. Oh… so this one next to you and that one are twins, okay.

“Yes, Zen. Let’s focus. What are you going to sing?” the girl finally says something, she looks more patient than the brunette one, but she is also pretty intimidating, and her haircut is cool!

“I… am not going to sing. This was a mistake. I should get going…”

“Are you scared? Don’t be! We won’t bite… well, maybe I will, but that can wait…” the redhead with glasses wiggles his eyebrows looking at you. “Haha, I’m just joking! You should see your face right now…”

“I’m not scared and I’m going! Sorry for taking your time, this was a misunderstanding.”

“You’re already here, why don’t you sing?” the brunette says, looking at you, you can see a little annoyance on his features.

“I… I can’t sing. I don’t know how.”

“Yes, you do! I know you! You were on the musical theater club! I remember you, quiet weird girl sitting in the back just doing backing vocal… do you remember me?” how could you forget Zen and his brutal honesty?

“I do…”

“So you can sing!” the blond one says and everybody stares at you again… that was stupid! That was so fucking stupid of you!

“I can, but I… I… look, this was stupid, okay?”

“Yeah, no shit!” the redhead without glasses scoffs.

“Excuse me?” you ask, did he interrupt you to make fun of you?

“You were hiding, listening to our conversation, then pretends you’re all innocent and shy when we catch you and keep lying to us even when we already know you’re lying! Come on, this is very stupid.”

“I agree with Saeran. This already took too much of our time.” The brunette one says, everybody look at him surprised and nod. Oh, you get it, he’s the leader, and the redhead there is pissing you off!

“So, if you’re not going to sing because you’re a scared little girl, just go away already!”

“I’m not scared! And you’re really rude, dude! Go get laid and release all this puberty stress!” oh no, you didn’t! Everybody looks at… what’s his name? Saeran, right? But you look to the other twin still by your side.

“I tell him the same every day, can you believe?” he says to you, smiling.

“SHUT UP!” oh… he’s… red, he’s blushing. You broke the little punk wannabe! Okay… this satisfied you more that you would care to admit.

“Then, if you’re not scared, will you sing or do we have to waste more time?” the brunette is the only one who didn’t show any reaction to your little argue with Saeran.

“Why do you keep talking about time? Do you have somewhere to go?” you ask. Jesus! You won one, you can’t be risking yourself like this.

“We’re still waiting for you to sing.” See? You knew you wouldn’t win twice on this.

“Fair enough. I’ll make you forget the place you had to be.” You just hear some uhhhs from Zen and the nice redhead, and the brunette smirks at you:

“Let’s see what you got.” Is that a challenge? Interesting…

“I should… get out of here. This is about to catch fire.” The redhead jumps out of the stage.

“Hi. My name is MC and I’ll be singing ‘I’m the Greatest Star’ from the musical Funny Girl.”

“This isn’t a musical theater audition…” the brunette is still smirking.

“Nobody said what kind of music I should sing. Does anyone here oppose to me singing this one?”  everybody nodded negatively, you noticed the girl looked a little excited, did she like the song or was she happy to see the band’s leader losing his control over them?

“Very well, so I won’t oppose either. Let’s hear it! Do you need any support? Yoosung can play the piano or Saeyoung can give you a base.”

“I’ll sing acapella.” Since you already made tons of stupid decisions, why not add one more?

“Do as you please. Saeyoung, the lights.” So the nice redhead’s name is Saeyoung, and he promptly lights up the stage, you feel a shiver as you can’t see any of their faces right now…

“Whenever you’re ready, sweetheart!” that’s Zen’s voice, you notice how excited he is.

You close your eyes, take a deep breath… and your voice come out.

“I got 36 expressions, sweet as pie to tough as leather, and that’s six expressions more than all those… Baltimore’s put together… Instead of just kicking me, why don’t they give me a lift? It must be a plot! Cause they’re scared that I got… such a gift? Well, I’ll nift!”

The thing about this song is that she has a lot of variations disguised as this little humor gimmicks, so… yeah, it wasn’t the greatest choice to an audition for a band, but hey! You’re having fun! Yes, this is fun, this is… natural, somehow. And the fact you can’t see their faces make you feel like it’s just you against the lights in the whole world.

Zen is smirking, as if he knew about this hidden treasure before all of them. Yeah, he just refuted the fact you couldn’t sing because he knew, he can trace talent even if it’s hidden behind a secondary role on a musical theater play. And as soon as you stepped in that stage, he knew exactly who they were about to deal with… well, at least musically, he had no idea that quiet girl could be that…spirituous. Confronting Jumin like that was bold, and he likes bold girls…

Yoosung is hypnotized. You look and sing like an angel, it’s so different from Rika, but the sweetness and this expressiveness are the same. Also, you look a little intimidating at first, but he’s pretty sure you’re very sweet and nice, he noticed this at the moment you smiled at him and the little fact about the magician club. Also, nobody that sings like that can be less than adorable, yes, h barely knows you, he already adores you.

If this was a cartoon, Jaehee’s eyes would have dollar signs in it. You sing well, you have a cute face… maybe they can sell tickets or get some gigs with you and finally make some profit out of this… hobby. Also, she loves Funny Girl, what an interesting choice… you’re… interesting. She’s curious about you, and she rarely gets curious…

Saeyoung is smiling, he was rooting for you the minute he found you backstage. He can’t explain, he just… liked you, he wanted to know what you were up to. Was that whole scene part of your number? You’re such a drama queen, he loves it! Yes, he’s already thinking about the costumes he can put on you, you will look so cool and cute… also, you made his brother blush, you’re already his favorite person in the world. Even if you don’t join the band, he wants to hang out with you…

Saeran was mad. You were so sassy, he doesn’t like sassy girls, he was rooting for you to sing really bad, but… what the fuck? You are actually great!? Ugh… just remembering the way you defied him make his blood boil. Stupid little talented  bitch… and you’re cute too? UGHHHH, you’re trouble, aren’t you? You’re making him feel troubled.

Jumin is still smirking, he just needed this confirmation on something he knew from the moment you confronted him: it was you. It had to be you, no one else. “ So this is the girl V warned me about, interesting…”
