Tea dyeing Experiment One.

-simmered 1 sample of adagio cinnamon tea (minus two tsp because I made a cup of tea) for 1hr, covered

-let cool to room temp

-soaked 1 skein of knitpicks swish worsted in tap water, added it to the dye bath

-simmered 20 or 30 minutes, let it soak until it was back to room temp

-hung it in the shower to dry (yes i forgot to wash it, i know, I'm a bad dyer), waited like 3 days, wrapped it in a skein.

-jury's out on if the cinnamon will be a transient color or not, we'll see.

🎃 October 17th Tea of the day: Honeybush Pumpkin Chai Accompanied with a pumpkin honey bun cake swirled with dark brown sugar and chopped walnuts. The cake is covered with a honey cream cheese frosting and topped with a white chocolate "honeycomb" .

Advent day 1! I got two Advent calendars, one from @adagioteas and one from @davidstea! Adagio's has tea bags while David's is loose leaf. For day one, we had two different gingerbread teas! Adagio was a black spiced tea flavored with orange peel and gingerbread flavoring. It was good, with no overpowering flavor. DavidsTea was a gingerbread blondie tea. This was was an herbal infusion with a strong ginger scent and a stronger vanilla taste. It's very sweet and has a strong flavor, but the aftertaste is exactly like a blondie pastry. I'm not sure if I like it too much, but it's definitely interesting!
