Duke: Thanks for the copy of lecture notes. I owe you one
Jazz: you can pay me back by introducing me to the guy that picked you up last Tuesday
Duke: guy?
Jazz: with the bike
Duke:
Jazz: white patch in his hair
Duke: Jason?
(… out of everyone, you chose Duke? 😭 /nm)
Part 2
Duke approached Jason like he was walking to the guillotine.
Jason raised an eyebrow. He stepped off of his bike, inspecting him. “What’s wrong with you?”
Duke sighed deeply. Then he handed him a piece of paper. Jason stared at it blankly without taking it. When Duke pushed it into his face, Jason finally snatched it and looked at the contents, which were a string of neatly written numbers. A phone number, to be exact.
“… okay. Is this your teacher’s number or something?” Jason was especially baffled. Usually, it was a combination of Dick, Alfred, or Bruce who made the phone calls to teachers. Sometimes, it was Tim, but it was never Jason.
“No. A friend of mine wanted to give you her phone number.”
Jason sneered, crinkling the paper. He was about to toss it away when Duke suddenly said, “You’ll regret that.”
Jason paused, still clenching the paper. “Pardon?”
Duke sighed. “I know I’m going to regret this, but you’ll regret it even more than me if you throw that paper away. I swear to Nightwing’s ass, she is absolutely your type. You’re making the biggest mistake of your life if you throw that away.”
“I’m pretty sure the biggest mistake of my life was dying,” Jason deadpanned.
Duke rolled his eyes. He pulled out his phone, scrolled for a moment, and then brought up his Instagram feed, where an image of a woman was sitting at a table, smiling at the camera.
She was drop dead gorgeous, enchanting enough to make the dead revive to see her one last time, lovely enough to make the clouds move to use the sun’s light as a spotlight for her, and beautiful enough to cause a world war if she even shed a single tear.
She had red hair like fire lilies, eyes like crystalline waters, looked tall, and had a sense of otherworldliness to her like she was a goddess from heaven that came to the mortal realm to grace everyone with her presence.
Jason scrubbed his eyes and looked again, eyes nearly falling from his skull. He blinked rapidly, almost wondering if this was real.
Was it humanly possible to be this good-looking?
“I know,” Duke deadpanned, sounding like he had aged 60 years in an instant. “And yes, it’s real. I see her in real life. She likes books, is super nice and helps everyone, is a huge nerd, and likes ‘bad boys with motorcycles’. Her words, which makes me want to puke.”
Jason unclenched his suddenly sweaty palms, quickly smoothed out the paper, and then clapped Duke on the shoulder. “You’ve done me a great service today,” Jason said gravely. “I won’t ever forget your help today.”
“I think I’m going to throw myself off the Clocktower,” Duke said.
“You have helped create a union of two hearts on this day. I could shine your shoes right now if you wanted.”
“Please don’t. Seeing you on your knees would make me actually lose my lunch for real.”

Oh god. My Tūī has learned some new sounds.
This Tūī that occupies the territory that includes my garden, I'm guessing he? I'm guessing young?, this is based on the over-the-top, huffy, aggro, drama he projects. He'll whip through the area like an angry, loud, and musical, little whirlwind, as ostentatiously as he can.
The "If nobody has my presence in the vicinity firmly in the front of their mind, if they aren't absolutely thinking about me, am I really holding my territory?" kinda attitude.
If I am in my garden doing my stuff, which sometimes includes putting a little bit of fruit out (for everybody actually), or refreshing the bath (again this is common property, everyone gets to have this), or pulling weeds, or any of the other dumb human things, and this guy comes along, he'll sit up in the peach tree, or on the dead pittosporum, or on the guttering, someplace high anyway ('cos he is scared of me), and he'll huff and puff, and clap his wings, or musically spit at me so that I will leave and he can have my his garden. But I often don't, at least fast enough for him and he'll roll his eyes and then fly off as loudly and dramatically as possible and make himself somebody-else's' problem.
My second guess that this guy is young is because, while he's got the general musically liquid burbling and whiffling of tūī down, he still adding stuff to his own song, you know, unique little touches that will impress the chicks and strike fear into his enemies.
So far this year he has really developed his scream.
The tūī has an alarm call, it's a kinda short shriek that they do a couple of times. It sounds a bit like a territorial call of a kingfisher. And there is a couple of resident kingfishers, so when I was always hearing screaming I thought it was them, but it was kinda off too, like too musical, and it was all the time. Like all the time. Ok, more like several times a day. I figured out it was this tūī as I saw him casually doing it, but it was driving me nuts cos I'd hear him and them it would sit in the back of my head, is that a tūī or a kingfisher? and because I'm a nerd like that it would annoy me.
But the screaming also annoyed me, it's an annoying sound. Its a sound made to get attention and it works on people too. Tūī also use it on raptors and stuff too, to harass them or express their displeasure of the raptor's or whatever's existence, and I guess also the communicate to other tūī that there is bad news around. Thing is he never straight out screams at me, or other people, he just screams in general.
Typing this out has made me think about how small my world is at the moment as I have beef with a bird. It just feels a bit targeted sometimes, as he knows I sometimes put the fruit and the water out, he's being a bit of a dick about it. The other birds don't give me this kinda shit. But sometimes I am that guy who posts to the local facebook community page complaining about the speakerboys every night.
Anyway, he's been working hard on a new project recently.
He has added argumentative seagulls to his repertoire.
And he has nailed it, pretty convincing.
Some sounds to help re-create my aural landscape...
Tūī scream
Normal Tūī stuff
Seagull sounds

A little fic based off of this
Whenever I write an X Reader it's usually for chubby!reader but it's actually a plot point in this one
Chubby/bullied!reader x stan
You, Ford, Caryn and Filbrick sat in the front row.
Stan had a big fight tonight, the only reason his father came, and you were nervously tapping your leg. His opponent, Godfrey Davies, was bigger and looked meaner but you knew Stan could potentially pull it off.
The two entered the ring and Stan gave you a cheeky wink before his eyes caught his father. His whole expression changed when he clocked Filbrick.
"He better win." Ford commented.
You knew what Ford was implying. If Stan lost in front of his dad he would be crushed. And Filbrick was the type of man who would leave if he was bored so Stan would also have to put on a good show.
The two touched gloves and the bell rang.
You weren't a huge boxing fan but wouldn't deny the rush a match gave you. The adrenaline of the room coursed through your veins as each punch landed. Godfrey was strong, he had hit Stan's stomach a few times but Stan was quick enough to dodge any major strikes.
Godfrey managed to land a blow against Stan's cheek and your hand grasped Fords.
You glanced at Ford as an excuse to spy on Filbrick but the man gave nothing away. Merely enjoying? the show.
In the split second your eyes were off of Stan, he had managed to gain the upper hand with a series of quick jabs against Godfrey's right side.
"He's hurt him." Ford informed you. "See the twitch."
You followed his fingers, unable to see the twitch, alas you trusted Ford's intelligence. If Ford said Stan hurt him then he hurt him.
The two danced around each other for the remainder of the round, there was a soft tap here and a dodge there but otherwise it was quiet.
The next round was similar. There were the odd moments of carnal violence sprinkled in between their dance but it was the third round that mattered.
As Stan took a sip of water, he turned in your direction, his pale skin beginning to pinken as it swelled up. He gave you all a sloppy smirk and when the bell rang again, there was a new fire in him.
Stan kept low and stayed with defence until Godfrey tired himself out - punching ludicrously hard against Stan's forearm block - and just when Godfrey stopped to pant, Stan whacked him with an uppercut.
Godfrey stumbled backwards, wobbling on his feet. Stan was on him in an instant punching him in the face and forcing the man to the floor.
The ref called it and everyone cheered.
He had won!
This was a big deal.
He could now fight in a higher tier.
This was really good news!
You released Ford from your hug and he ran over to his twin. The boys embraced, clapping each other's backs, grinning from ear to ear.
Caryn was next, she slipped in the hug, squeezing her babies tight. You knew she said a cheesy joke along the lines of 'I didn't need a crystal ball to know you'd win' because the twins rolled their eyes in sync but there was no real malice behind the gesture.
Filbrick finally made his move: a pat on the shoulder. You knew it meant the world to Stan. He deserved it. He really did. He was glorious.
A photographer worked his way into the ring and told the family to smile but Stan stopped the photo.
"Wait, where's Y/N?" His eyes scanned the crowd that had formed, swarming the ring side. He had a lot of groupies, unsurprisingly. People loved a big strong man and it didn't hurt that he looked like that.
They landed on you and you smiled, waving awkwardly as he gestured for you to join them. The room was noisy and people were still cheering, drinks being drunk, music blaring so he didn't hear your reply. You tried to call out again but in the end shook your head, sheepishly.
It was his moment. He needed this. To be in a photo with his family. He could frame it.
Besides, you'd only ruin it.
You weren't exactly pretty.
A fact that everyone had relentlessly told you at school.
The only reason you were still alive was Stan and Ford's friendship, otherwise you'd have had to fight the onslaught of insults alone and you really didn't think you were strong enough for that.
Stan frowned momentarily before forcing a smile for the photo.
~~
"Doll face?" You were sitting in your garden, on the swing your dad had made, reading the Lord of the Rings. Turning your head you found Stan. He was standing next to you, hands in pockets. He had bruises on his cheek and a split lip you hadn't noticed at the time.
"Hi." You smiled up, closing the book. "How'd's it feel to be a winner?"
Stan chuckled, plonking down on the swing next to you. Your dad had to install another when you eventually made friends. "'little sore."
"I bet you don't feel it because your dad was proud of you." You mock punched his arm. "He really was."
Stan swivelled on the swing, the rope twisting together as he spun around.
You suspected he had something to say so kept quiet until he found the words.
Stan let go, spinning until he was back in the correct place.
"You know you're gorgeous right?" The words tumbled out.
They took you aback. You hadn't ever thought those words would come out of his mouth. "Pardon?"
He let out a shaky breath, gazing up at the sky. "You're really pretty. I don't know why Jorgie and her gang tell you otherwise. Like a damn movie star."
Where had this come from? "Wh-"
"The photo." He answered without needing the question. "I wish you were in it."
You didn't know what to say or how to respond. The only thing you could think to do was shyly smile and reach for his hand.
~~
"Filbrick, that's Y/N." You overheard Caryn whisper to her husband. They were in the Kitchen where you were planning on getting a drink. "She comes over all the time."
He huffed.
Did-did he not know who you were?
You were here every other day.
Hell, you once made the man dinner!
Caryn had been sick and the boys were useless so you came around and rustled up some grub for the four of them.
That was insulting.
"The fat one?" He questioned.
Fat?
Were you fat?
You glanced down at yourself, you could see your toes but maybe not as much as you should be able to?
"She's no-well, it doesn't matter. She's good for Stan..and Ford. Keeps them sane."
Caryn thought you were fat too?
You stepped away carefully, avoiding the spots in the wood that creaked, and nestled yourself back into the boys room. Settling next to Stan in his bed as they argued about nothing important.
~~
You'd declined every offer Stan made to go out. You didn't want to look like you were avoiding him but his parents thought you were fat and that had shaken your self image.
You were obviously not thin in the mirror and people at school called you fat and ugly all the time. So much that part of you believed it and part of you brushed it off but to hear it from them... From people you trusted...
You knew you were nothing great to look at. Stan being sweet was just him trying to comfort you, you probably embarrassed them.
In an effort to beautify yourself, your evenings were spent jogging mostly. It was awful and you hated it but you made sure to do it before dinner or you wouldn't eat.
"Oit." A voice called, you spun to see Stan running to catch up.
"Hey."
"What're we doing?" He fell into pace with you.
"Jogging." You offered.
"Har, har." He playfully shoved you. "Why are we jogging? It's the worst."
Your face split into a grin, loving how in sync the two of you were. "It really is! I hate it."
When you both rounded the corner, he repeated himself. "C'mon what are we doing?"
"Trying to lose weight." You answered.
"W-why?" Your reply had caught him completely off guard that he faltered. Stan had to speed up to match your pace again. "You don't need to."
A dark chuckle left you without your consent. "I heard someone talking-"
"Ignore the girls at school." He interrupted.
"It wasn't-" Jogging and talking was hard. "It was someone whose opinion I'd hate to admit I trust. They said it straight."
Stan made a face but didn't argue. He would let you win this round and later convince you to come to the diner and get a thick shake. He knew you weren't fat. Well, maybe you were but not in a bad way! You looked amazing! The meat on your bones was in all the right places. More to love like platonically.
Eventually the two of you came to a stop outside your house.
"I don't think jeans were designed for running." Stan tried to pry the fabric off his thigh.
"I'd never blame you, beautiful." He folded his arms. "Now, who do I have to beat up?"
You giggled. "Don't blame me. I didn't ask you to join me."
"No one." Your eyes rolled automatically.
"Hey, don't do that."
"I'm not doing anyth-"
Stan closed the distance, cupping your cheeks in his palms, forcing eye contact. "Tell me. 'cause you're perfect."
Why had he decided to be all sweet and flirty recently? He did know you were the butt of every joke, right? Like everyone else, he was well aware that boys would ask you out as a prank. Was this one? No, not your Stan.
Well he wasn't your Stan.
"Earth to Y/N." He manipulated your head, swaying it gently side to side.
"Huh?"
"Who called you fat?"
The words seemed to leave your mouth before you had the chance to stop them. Your mind hadn't even registered properly and they were released into the world. "Your parents."
The neutral expression morphed into anger. Stan's brows pulled as his pupils shrunk. A twitch occurred in his jaw. "My dad?"
"Your mom, too." You shrugged. "It's nothing massive, it's actually helpful. Now I know it's true I can-"
"No." He shook his head. "No, it's not. It's mean." Stan placed his forehead against yours and took in a breath. "When I say you are perfect, believe it. Don't change anything. Please, doll."
~~
The new few months played out in the usual fashion. You'd go to school, then theirs, they'd come to yours, the three of you would worry about test results, studying was tricky when the boys were helping - they always got off topic. It didn't take long before all the exams were finished and the school year was coming to a close meaning prom.
You and the twins went together. None of you officially had dates but that didn't matter because it was always you three vs the world.
A triangle was the strongest shape after all.
You arrived at the Pines house on time, barely giving the door a knock before it swung open. Stan was quick to exit and pulled you towards the car.
He didn't look back, settling you into the passenger seat as he rounded the car to the driver's.
"Stan?" You glanced at the front door. "Everything okay?" Caryn had begged you to come in and take photos less than a week ago. Maybe Stan knew you were embarrassed or maybe he was going back on his words... Maybe he was embarrassed of you.
Stan gave you a curt nod, his palms tightening in the steering wheel. You watched the knuckles whiten on his left hand before his right caught your gaze. There was blood on them.
Why was there blood on his knuckles?!
"Where's Ford?"
As if on cue Ford left the house, closing the door behind him and strode towards the car.
He slipped into the backseat and gave you a sheepish smile.
The car journey was blessedly short and weird to say the least.
You distracted yourself with the radio.
At school you took the obligatory "couple" photo. You stood between the boys arm in arm. Even if it was fake, it was the first time Stan smiled tonight.
You were led to the gym - they had dressed it up for a party but it was still just your school gym - and found a spot to stand and people watch.
Ford attempted to make small talk with others but he wasn't hugely successful, coming back each time with an 'aww shucks'. At least he didn't have punch thrown at him. Silver linings and all that, hey?
Stan was still being strange so you let him be. Sometimes he went quiet when he was thinking too hard. You hoped he was able to at least enjoy a bit of the evening.
He had just excused himself to use the toilet when Ford sprinted back to your side. "Finally!"
"What?!"
"He punched dad." Ford whispered.
Huh, it sounded like Ford told you Stan had punched Filbrick but that would be insane. "Care to run that by me again?"
"Dad said something and Stan shouted before he just socked him. It was intense. Dad then shook his hand!"
What?!
"Wait, I don't get it." You frowned. "Your dad's been an asshole for years, what made Stan snap?"
Ford shrugged but you knew he knew. Why wasn't he telling you? "Ask him."
"Oh, yeah, I'll just ask Stan 'why'd you finally decide to whack your dad?' Think about it for more than two seconds!"
Ford's eyes slipped over your shoulder and he nodded minutely. Stan was back in the room.
Your eyes immediately found his knuckles, they weren't bloodied but even from here you could see the slight pink hue. You turned to ask Ford something only to find he had disappeared again.
Stan made his way through the dancefloor and stopped by your side.
After Ford's confession the silence was maddening. You needed to ask why but how do you go about it? How do you just ask him? And his dad shook his hand? Was that a goodbye? Was Stan being kicked out? No, Filbrick wasn't that cruel.
"Fancy a dance?" You offered. Stan looked at you and then the crowd, unease splattered throughout his expression. "We don't have to."
"It is a dance, though." He commented. "Just- there's a lot of people."
"It's okay." You brushed him off. It wasn't a massive deal, you didn't have to dance at a dance.
"There wasn't anyone in the corridor by Mr Tymeh's. Could still hear the music." He didn't outright ask you but you'd been friends long enough to read between the lines.
"Lead the way."
The two of you left the gym and wandered past the toilets to the small 'office' Mr Tymeh ate his lunch and moaned at the less athletic students in.
Stan was right, you could hear the music from here and the corridor was empty.
"Wanna do this then?" He asked, making zero eye contact.
"Stan, we don't have to if yo-" You were unable to finish the sentence because he pulled you close, hands on your waist, and swayed.
Your hands met his shoulders and you let him move the two of you back and forth. The song wasn't meant for slow swaying but this half-dance was really sweet so you weren't going to complain.
"I like your suit." You brushed your fingers along his collar.
"Thanks, got mine and Fords for the price of one." He smirked cockily. "You, uh, you look beautiful as ever. That colour's real pretty."
You didn't give the compliment to get one, hopefully he knew that!! Yet it was sweet hearing the words. Choosing the colour was very hard, you didn't want to look good for everyone else, you wanted to feel good for yourself and when you finally decided what you were wearing you did feel good.
Maybe tonight you'd believe Stan's words.
Believe you were pretty passable.
Your brain was getting too distracting so you softly asked, "what happened to your hand?"
"Some schmuck." He shrugged. "No one important."
You pulled his hand from your hip and frowned at the knuckles. "That's not what Ford said."
Stan groaned. "That fucker."
"Are you alright?"
He looked into your eyes before nodding. "Yeah."
"Gonna tell me about it?" You raised a brow.
"He was just being an asshole." There was more to the story. There had to be. Filbrick had been an asshole for years and Stan hadn't snapped, so why now? Stan saw the confusion in your face and elaborated. "He made comments about you."
Your frown deepened. "You hit your dad for me?" You were not worth that. Why the fuck would he-
"Course I did." Stan paused. "He can say what he wants about me but not you." His eyes flickered to your opening mouth. "It was strange, he patted me on the back and shook my hand after. Proud of me for standing up I guess."

ALLEY-FUCK
Wonho x Male Reader

cw: top wonho, public/semi-public sex, unprotected sex, two rounds, dumbification, thigh riding, a little bit of unnoticeable fluff sparkled at the end.
an: idk if "ooh-ed" is an actual word but wtv.
—
it was one of those wild parties with shirtless dudes showing their muscles, women in bikinis living their best life and lots, lots of alcohol, y/n was having fun drinking and flirting with men left and right and then he decided to play beer pong.
"so who's gonna play with me?" asked a drunk y/n, everything was absolute silence until someone raised their hand "me" he just said.
There he was in his maximum splendor, he was only wearing jeans that showed part of his underwear, perfect washboard abs, large and juicy pecs and lips that y/n would never stop kissing. "if i win you're gonna have to kiss me" flirted y/n, everyone laughed and ooh-ed "but if i won what can i have?" asked wonho, lust can be seen in his eyes "whatever you want" replied a sassy y/n.
y/n obviously lost, let's say he doesn't have very good aim but he was thankful for that, he was now in a dark alley he's standing with his legs open waiting for wonho to lower his pants and introduce his thick meat inside him "now let's get started before we get caught" he whispered biting y/n's neck and railing him into oblivion. the adrenaline of being caught doing wonders down there in y/n's hole. everytime he hears something like footsteps he clenches so hard "fuck you're choking my dick so good. guess i will have no choice but to flood you with my sperm". y/n just moaned at the thought.
wonho is a monster when he fucks, he came inside y/n but that didn't stopped him "i'm gonna fuck that cum out do you hear me?" y/n already lost in pleasure just nodded and said nonsenses "can't believe i fucked you dumb" he murmured grabbing y/n by his legs, lifting him and fuck him in a cannonball position. with every thrust wonho's cum came out of the used hole while his thick fuckmeat was painted in white with some type of foam forming at the base of the shaft. "best ass i've ever fucked" he licked y/n's neck and left a mark on it. lastly wonho just sat on the floor while y/n rode him but every time he went down wonho's cock he does it hard causing a delicious clapping sound.
"you're thighs are sooo big" spewed y/n rubbing them with his hands "wanna ride them pretty boy?" asked the muscular man and he just nodded. pulling out the cock with a wet pop sound y/n started riding his juicy thigh using the remaining cum as some kind of lube, "fuck~ I fucking love this!!" he moaned loudly. the friction of the thigh against his balls made him cum right at the spot staining the floor with his thick semen "this is the best night of my life" y/n said as he leaned his back against wonho's chest and abdomen, caressing his cheeks and ears. "the best night of your life until now" replied wonho kissing y/n while lifting his legs and resuming the fucking again.

Warnings- mentions of violence, stalking, sexism, misogyny, self defense training
WC- 3.3k
Harry was exhausted physically, but mentally he felt more awake than he’d ever been after a long day of sessions.
Sitting at the smoothie bar, he sipped on a PB Choc shake that Y/N had ready for him after he was done with his last session of the day. He tried to pay her, but she’d insisted yet again that he was helping her out so the least she could do was give him a free drink. Harry was a tad bit pathetic in how much her genuine smile made his heart race, but instead he nodded and let her finish up her closing duties. He’d offered to help but her eyes had narrowed and she had pointed at his drink, so he decided to leave it be.
Besides, it gave him time to observe her.
The ponytail was slightly falling now, a few pieces of hair around her face and at the nape of her neck as she wiped down counters. Her tank top with the gym name on it was slightly loose on the torso but clung to her chest. Yoga pants were her choice of bottom, which, fuck- he had to avert his eyes from those considering he had to get up close with her soon. He had to teach her so he wasn’t about to have a stiffy when he showed her how to throw a punch. As attracted to her as he was, these sessions were to help her feel safe. He’d rather have an arm chopped off than be another one of those men that she felt creeped around her.
It was no secret that Y/N was attractive. She was probably the prettiest girl he’d ever seen, if he was being honest with himself. It was discussed between staff and other trainers about how beautiful she was and how her personality was only elevating the physical beauty she had, because the girl was sweet as pie. She was the type that remembered everyone’s birthday and made sure they got a free protein cookie or gym shirt, and put a few decorations in the break room even in the short time she had been here. Y/N was someone a lot of women felt comfortable enough to go to when someone made them uncomfortable, using her power and access to the private security guard (Who unfortunately left before her) to have them escorted out. It had made it all the more upsetting to Harry to know she had felt defenseless over the guy waiting outside the night before.
Unfortunately he knew it was a reality for all women. He had a sister, a mother, multiple women as friends and it infuriated him to know that her experience wasn’t an uncommon one. It had made him more than proud of her, actually, when she asked him to help her. To take your personal security and safety seriously was a big deal, even if you shouldn’t need it in the first place. The hope was she’d never need to use them, but he was relieved that she trusted him enough to ask him to teach her.
The doors at the front were locked so no one could get in, Y/N giving them a few tugs to make sure it stuck before she turned on her heels to face him. Clapping her hands together, she nearly bounced over to him with a spring on her step that he envied, grabbing her water bottle she’d left beside him. “Okay! Let’s get started. I promise not to keep you here for a long time, 20 minutes should be fine- but I realized last night I’d probably break my hand if I threw a punch.”
Yeah, that was exactly what they’d want to avoid.
“We don’t have to rush unless you’ve got to get out of here. All that’s waiting for me at home is a fish tank and some tea.” He assured her, leaving his bag at the smoothie counter as they made their way towards the training area.
“Oh- I thought you had a girlfriend?” She asked curiously, undoing her ponytail. Hair fell down to her shoulders momentarily as she ran her fingers through the roots, fluffing it out before smoothing her hair back to fasten into a new ponytail. “That girl that came in a few times, pretty red hair?”
“Oh, no.” Harry shook his head. She’d noticed that? It was interesting that she had. “She’s a friend’s girlfriend. Amanda and I go jogging sometimes but she and her girlfriend are my mates. She’s a chef, though, so she brings me stuff to test out since she specializes in health foods.” He could see it seeming much different to her though. “I’m single, chronically.” The need to clarify was there, maybe seeming a little desperate but hey- apparently he’d not made that clear enough.
“She was super nice and pretty, so I assumed. But I made an ass out of myself with that, didn’t I?” Her laugh was lighthearted but he swore he saw her smile get a bit bigger as she raised her arms up to stretch them over her head. “You’ve got fish?”
“No, I don’t think so. It’s natural to assume things sometimes. But as for the fish- I do.” He nodded, feeling a little happier himself. Y/N noticed that he had a visitor and seemed happy it wasn’t his girlfriend. “It’s a hobby, I’ve got a saltwater tank. I’m not home enough for a dog, even though I really would like one. Fish are beautiful, relatively easy if you make sure you do the cycling upkeep, and don’t need to be brought out for walks. Besides, I don’t think they miss me too much when m’gone all day.”
“Oh, god. I get it. I’ve got a cat and she’s a menace when I get home. It’s like I’d been off to war, she likes her snuggles but gets mad at me so she grumbles when she sits on my lap.” Her laugh rang through the gym. A beautiful sound he’d love to hear more of. “Fish are cool though! I watch some of those guys who build ponds on YouTube and all of that when I can’t sleep, makes me wish I could have one in my place. I’ve just got a balcony though.”
“I’ve been saving for a house, so I get it. I rent small because I don’t need a ton of space for just me.” It was clean and tidy, upgraded with the food appliances and a comfy bed, but Harry wasn’t home all that often. Even if sometimes he wished he was. There wasn’t much to come home to. Maybe he’d be more inclined to get the house search on if he had a partner or something, but as of right now he was happy to stay where he was. “Uh, I meant to ask what you know but you said you were worried about breaking your hand during a punch. Let me see how you make a fist, please.”
In all reality he could spend hours just chatting with her, but if he didn’t try and get to the point they’d be there all night. As nice as it sounded to him, he doubted she wanted that.
“God- don’t judge me too harshly please. I’ve always been a lover, not a fighter.” Y/N curled her hand up into a fist which she could see immediately wasn’t correct by the look on his face. “I appreciate the effort but I can totally see you wincing right now.”
“Sorry! M’sorry, I just… here.” With cautious fingers, he helped her unfurl her fingers. “You don’t want your thumb inside. It’s far more likely to break that way.” He began arranging the fingers as they needed to be. “You’re gonna want t’have your thumb on the outside… like this.” He murmured, the warmth of his hand a contrast to her cooler one. “Between your first and the second knuckles right here…” his touch was gentle as he adjusted her smaller fingers in the fist. “Near your index and middle. There.” Releasing her hand, he showed her on his own hands. “See? Like this.”
“Okay- I see. I always forget if it’s in or out and then I go with it because it feels like it would protect the thumb but, I’ll remember now.” She sighed, mirroring it with her second hand. “Where do I hit?”
“Easy, Tiger.” Harry laughed, letting his hands fall down. “You’re going to want to remember that the first thing you want to try is to get away first. That’s always the first option, escape and run the hell off. Make noise, get attention from other people. There’s power in making a scene.” From self defense classes he’d taught before he decided to take the shorter form and give it to her now. “You don’t know what people have. I don’t want to scare you, Y/N, but people are unpredictable. The most important thing is your safety, so getting away is the most ideal thing. But if you can’t, you want to make sure you have a good stance so they have less of a chance in grabbing you or knocking you over.”
Planting both feet on the ground, he left his knees unlocked and kept his arms raised close to his body. “Shoulder width apart, arms up at your sides. Try it.” He stood next to her to show her, gently using his foot to nudge her legs a little further apart as he moved towards the front. “Put your dominant side leg out more in front of you. The worst thing to do is to have your knees locked because it’ll be easier to knock you over.” Rocking on his legs he demonstrated the right way to move, which she followed. There had been no doubt she’d catch on quickly, but he was still impressed. “Are you following along? This is just a crash course and we can meet again to go over more specifics but even just a little bit of this stuff can make or break you.”
“I am. I really am interested in knowing it all, so keep going please.” She encouraged, eyes bright and determined. It was ridiculously cute in his opinion. “So what if someone grabs your arms?”
“If someone grabs you? You pull down. There’s more momentum that way and you’re likely to break free versus if you go up- may I touch you?” The permission was granted with a nod, his hands gripping firmly on to her forearms. “Try moving up, and then down.”
Y/N followed instructions, immediately seeing the difference in it as she got her arms freed from his grip on the down pull. “Okay, I see. I’ve always meant to go to a self defense class but I’ve put it off… I’m really glad you were there last night. I was nervous to ask because I didn’t want to be overreacting but… I wasn’t sure.” A shrug of the shoulders followed her words. “I didn’t think the guy was gonna hurt me or anything but I didn’t know what he wanted. Why he was staying after I already said no.”
“No.” Harry said gruffly. “No. You don’t give them the benefit of the doubt, Y/N. The first priority is always to protect yourself. Even if you find it embarrassing after and no harm was meant, it’s always better to be safe rather than sorry. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help. You should do it.” The idea of her not asking because she worried about how it would come off made his chest hurt.
“Listen, I think that our intuition is the best gift we have. It’s there to protect us, down to the most biological level. So if you felt the need to have protection it’s because your body knew it needed it. Okay?” His voice softened up at the end. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to sound like that, but I’ve seen what happens when women aren’t taken seriously. When guys think they’re overthinking or crazy. My sister…” he paused. “She was hurt because people told her she was overreacting, so she doubted her intuition. She’s okay now, but I’ve never forgotten about how she asked for help and people assumed that she just didn’t need it.”
Harry didn’t talk about that period a lot. In all honesty, it surprised him that he’d even brought it up, but Y/N had gotten to that soft spot in his defenses and reminded him that he could be the one to help her avoid that sort of pain that he knew his sister had to go through.
“I’m so sorry something happened to your sister, Harry.” Y/N whispered. “I promise I’ll listen to you and take your advice. That’s why I asked you. Something felt wrong and it was because there was no reason for him to be there waiting for me like that, and your car was in the side lot so he couldn’t see it… he thought I was alone.” Swallowing the lump in her throat at the thoughts of what If, she wrapped her arms around herself to self-soothe. “I know I watched a lot of true crime a couple years back and I used to think I was just being paranoid, but it was a wake up call. It wasn’t the first time I’ve dealt with a guy not taking no for an answer and thinking persistence was something that would wear me down, but it was the first time I felt that level of unsafe. My stomach hurt just looking out there.”
Harry could only imagine. As much as it tugged on his heart to grab her and hug her body to his chest, he didn’t have that right. Not yet, anyways. “Christ, I know. He gave me the creeps too, if I’m being honest. If it makes you feel any better, I don’t think you overreacted and I think you’re incredibly brave to ask for my help. It’s exactly what you should do. You need to protect yourself at every turn, even if it’s exhausting.”
“I know. I do, I did for a while but I didn’t think about it happening while working here. A lot of people ignore me most of the time which is fine, some flirt, but no one’s made me feel outright uncomfortable or unsafe before at work. I used to have one coworker back at a store I worked at that would be a bit too persistent but he left me alone after a while. I realize now that I should have said something back then.”
“Y/N, I don’t want you to ridicule yourself for your past mistakes or actions in general. You made it here, you’re safe and you made the best decisions you could for the world that’s taught you that. But now, I want to teach you how to make sure you can get yourself out of any situation that could come up.” He felt sick at the idea of her having to use these skills but even for his own state of mind, it would help him feel better.
“Okay.” She nodded, giving him her eyes. It felt like a hit to his chest, stealing his breath. “Did you want to do more of this, then? I don’t want to keep you for too long because I know if I’m tired you must be exhausted. Can we plan to meet up again?” Harry was pretty sure his exhaustion had to be on his face for her to say it, but he had to agree. Today had been an unusually filled day, so next time he hoped to be able to do more.
“That sounds good. We can text about it some more if you want to make a little schedule, but if you’d be comfortable you can meet me out at a park or something. I’ve got a nice one near my building if you want to do something in daylight. I think we’ve both got Wednesday’s off?” It was a wonder for him how luck had been on his side with coinciding days off, but he watched her nod and the ponytail she’d pulled back a few moments ago bouncing along with the motion. It was difficult for him not to be gross and think about holding said ponytail again, but he reminded himself that this wasn’t for his personal wants. She was trusting him with teaching her so he had to keep it in his pants.
“Yeah! I’d love to do that.” She agreed easily. “Can I see your fish tank, though? Not trying to invite myself to your place, even though I kinda am. I just think it’s really cool that you have one.”
“Course, I don’t mind at all.” His chest felt lighter at her own willingness to go past just a coworker sort of thing and initiating getting to know more about him. “I’ll stay later and work on emails at the smoothie bar for the rest of the week then, make sure I’m here to walk you out. I’ll see if I’ve got some other self defense supplies too. I ordered some a while ago t’keep in my car and I know they accidentally sent me an extra taser.” They didn’t. He’d ordered it last night.
“Oh, really? That would be so lovely of you to let me use it. I’ll pay you back for it.” Grabbing her water bottle from the side of the mats, she turned and surprised the hell out of him by wrapping her arms around his neck for a hug. It took him a second to reciprocate, blinking a few times in shock as he planted his palm over her back. He hoped to god he smelled decent and that the fact he’d had to use the soap the gym provided instead of his own today had been enough.
“Thank you, H. I really appreciate it. I love working here, but you’re so nice to me it’s crazy. I know you don’t have to do any of this for me but you’re going above and beyond and I.. I can’t think of a way to thank you.”
Harry prayed again that she couldn’t hear how hard his heart was beating- or at least thought it had something to do with the training as she rested her cheek against his chest and sort of snuggled in. It was by far the best hug he had ever had in his life. If he could have one of these a day, the stress level would most definitely be brought down. He’d almost bet on it. The feeling in his tummy swirled as he chuckled to disguise just how much he liked holding her, giving a gentle squeeze to her body. It felt so right to have her body pressed against his own, like she was meant to be there. “You’re lovely, Y/N. Course I’d do it for you. You’re a real gem, y’know that? It’s rare to meet someone with genuine kindness like you’ve shown everyone here.” It was crucial that she knew that he saw it. “As for a way to thank me?”
He had a lot of ideas on that, but he settled on the more savory and far less inappropriate answer. Y/N was his little crush, but he wasn’t sure she had a clue. “All I want is for you t’keep yourself safe, come to me or call if you feel uncomfortable… and maybe a few extra shakes.” He’d take a PB Choc or Strawberry Sunrise she made any day.
“Mmm… You’ve got yourself a deal.” Y/N’s face was bright despite the tired eyes she had, pulling away from the hug. Immediately he mourned the warmth and plush of her body. If he could pull her back into the embrace without it being weird, he would. A new addiction. “But for now, you’ll act like the fierce protector you are and walk me to my car, yeah?”
“Anything for you, pet. Let’s go. Need to feed the fish.”

Hello! I Hope You’re having a wonderful day/night. I was wondering if you can do a Wonka (2023) x reader where the reader is a show girl and is in love with Willy Wonka. And the reader works as a showgirl for slugworth (to Yk promote his chocolates). But reader and Willy falls for each other and it’s a whole forbidden love type thing since readers boss hates wonka.
Hello! Thanks so much for the request!! Gotta love the forbidden lovers trope (probably one of my favs tbh).
Willy Wonka x Showgirl!Reader (Wonka 2023)
Warnings!!!: Fem!reader, cursing (literally once, I'm pretty sure)
A/n: Baby's first request + Baby's first time posting fanfiction (AJGSHSHEJJXHDJDJ) Hope it's not awful.

Sometimes you wondered why you ever agreed to this job.
Being a showgirl wasn't as easy as a lot of people seemed to think it was.
Every other weekend, you performed at the local theatre to promote Mr. Slugworth's infamous chocolate. Two shows on Friday, two shows on Saturday.
Sounds easy enough. But, Mr. Slugworth insisted that no two shows could be the same.
Which meant that everyday you weren't performing, you were learning a new song and new choreography for your next performance. Which got very tiring very quickly.
Tonight was a particularly bad night. You were barely halfway through your show and already wanted to just collapse in the middle of the stage and sleep. Your costume felt tight, there was hardly anyone in the crowd, and your face hurt from how much you were smiling.
You had just finished your third number when the theatre doors opened. A young man walked through the doors. You recognized him from an incident in which he made your boss float through the air.
You briefly looked at him before going into your fourth number.
To your surprise, the man chose to sit right in the middle of the first row. Right in front of you. Now that he was closer you could see that he was actually pretty handsome. Dark brown curls that framed his face well and beautiful eyes that seemed to watch you in utter amazement...
You had to look away.
At the end of your performance, the man cheered loudly. Full on cheered, despite everyone else in the theatre simply clapping quietly.
He interested you with his sparkly eyes and bright smile. But, you knew you couldn't be interested. Your boss absolutely despised this guy. So, he wasn't cute and you weren't interested. That was that.
You were leaving the building through the back exit, happy to finally be out of your costume and headed home, when-
"Hi, there!"
"Ah!" You were startled by the sudden and enthusiastic greeting of... The guy you definitely didn't think was cute.
You sighed, regaining your composure after he had frightened you. "Hello." You said back simply.
"Sorry if I startled you there! I just wanted to compliment you." He said with a smile that for sure didn't make you want to swoon. "You are the most incredible singer that I've ever heard."
You couldn't help but feel flattered. "Thank y-"
"And you're an amazing dancer."
"Tha-"
"How do you even manage to dance in those tall, fancy heels?"
"I-"
"And isn't it strange to be taller than you usually are when you wear heels? Does that bother you at all?
You paused, making sure he was done talking before speaking again. "I guess being taller than usual would be strange at first. But, I'm used to wearing heels. So, being tall isn't weird for me."
"Like a giraffe." He said.
"Wha-"
"I'm Willy. Willy Wonka." He stuck his hand out.
You paused for a moment. Mr. Slugworth definitely wouldn't like the fact that you were talking to him... But, he wasn't here right now.
"I'm Y/n."
These little post-show conversations became something you looked forward to.
It was every Saturday, after your last performance of the night. He'd always be right outside the back exit waiting for you. Talking to him was always thrilling. Your heart beat a little faster whenever you were around him, breaking the rules... And maybe it was also because you thought he was cute.
You couldn't lie, over time, you'd grown to like him. And based on all of the lingering gazes and soft smiles he'd given you, you were pretty sure he liked you as well.
One day, you were backstage, looking into the mirror as you put on your makeup. You glanced up and in the reflection of the mirror was your boss, Mr. Slugworth.
This couldn't be good.
You turned around to face him. "Hello, Sir." You forced a polite smile.
"Yes, hello." He said with narrowed eyes. There was a brief moment of silence which you decided to fill.
"Did you want to talk to me about something?" You said, hoping the innocent head tilt you gave him was convincing.
"I know what you're doing." He said, ignoring your previous question.
Shit.
"One of my associates told me that they saw you and Mr. Wonka meeting behind this theatre every night."
You stayed silent. You knew you were guilty and you knew you probably couldn't talk your way out of this.
Mr. Slugworth continued. "I don't want an explanation or excuse from you. I just want you to agree to never speak with him again."
"What?!" You were shocked. He couldn't do this! He couldn't just tell you to stop talking to someone outside of work! He didn't have that power!...
Except, he kind of did. You knew how Mr. Slugworth was and you knew he wouldn't hesitate to fire you over something like this.
And that's why you agreed.
That night you left the theatre through the back exit like you always did. But, tonight you walked right past Willy.
"You were incredible tonight! I- Where are you going?"
You ignored him and kept walking. To your surprise, he began to follow you.
"You look sort of down.. Is something wrong? You can talk to me about it. I'm sure I can make you feel better!" He said as he continued to follow you.
He continued to try talking to you, and you continued to ignore him. He ended up following you all the way to your doorstep.
"Y/n? If it's something I did to upset you, I'm really sorry."
You took a deep breath and turned around, looking around to make sure no one was watching before you grabbed him and yanked him into your house.
As soon as he was in your house he looked around. "I like your curtains." He said.
"I'm not mad at you." You told him.
He smiled. "That's good to hear. I was already thinking of an apology chocolate recipe for you and it would've been-"
"Willy." He went quiet when you said his name. "Mr. Slugworth doesn't want me talking to you ever again."
"Oh?" He thought for a moment. "Well, that doesn't seem fair."
"Yeah. It isn't fair."
"Well, then don't listen to him." He made everything sound so simple. So easy. You wish you could see the world how he saw it.
"I can't just not listen to him. He's my boss." You looked at the ground. "And I need this job..."
Willy crossed his arms. He furrowed his brows in thought for a moment. "Huh."
...
"Huh." He looked back to you.
"What?"
"Why don't you just work for me?" He suggested with a smile. You were about to protest, but decided to hear him out. "Yeah! You can quit working for Slugworth, then you and I can update your act, and you can start promoting Wonka's Chocolate!" He said, excitedly pacing your small living area.
You thought over the plan. "Huh." You chuckled. "That's... Do you think that could work?"
He walked over to stand right in front of you, looking into your eyes. "I know it could work."
You shook your head with a smile. You were probably gonna regret this. "Let's do it."
"Yes!" Willy clapped and then stuck out his hand so that the two of you could shake on it. Instead of shaking his hand, you sort of let your emotions take control.
You grabbed his face and kissed him. After a moment you pulled away, a bit shocked at your own actions. You searched his face for any signs of discomfort and were met with a smile.
"That was better than a handshake." He said with a chuckle before leaning forward to capture your lips in a soft kiss.
Ok, you probably weren't gonna regret this.

misc bg3 companion hc
this is so much. i have no idea and im also sorry. all of the origin companions included under the cut
astarion:
i feel like he claps funny. like hes clapping but its that specific way thats meant to be like quieter? like clapping on the palm of his hand. this might be projection but i feel like hes also the type of person to do like a little clap or a spin or his trademark ridiculous giggle whenever hes happy.
i think that hes prone to dramatics like. like pretending to fall on the floor and die if you say hes actually not on your mind 24/7. oh whats that? you dont think im the prettiest princess in the entire world? well astarion has dramatically fallen to the floor
in the early game astarion most definitely practiced his lines loudly and publicly (in camp). he cant even see himself in the mirror but hes trying to look all suave and being like "shall i compare thee to a summers night" while lae'zel and shadowheart both shout "NO" from across the camp. (can be interpreted as bloodiedblade/wyllstarion but i think wyll would be amused and even finish the quote).
wyll:
this man is probably good with basic medicines and ill die on this hill. hes got aloe vera type shit on him at all times. sure, hes not a cleric or healer or even a bard, but he'll stay with you and try his damned best to cheer you up when youre hurt or sick.
on a related note i feel like wyll would be absolutely DELIGHTED by a bard tav. he would just be so amused and filled with whimsy. never gonna complain about playing, even if its like 2am. just occasionally putting in song requests. hes so incredibly enthusiastic like spinning tav around like "THAT WAS BRILLIANT!!!"
wyll probably keeps houseplants. (minor blazingblade but i feel like karlach would accidentally kill one of the plants and actually begin weeping. once she gets her engine fixed wyll tries to teach her how to garden. this goes weirdly) furthermore i think he like goes around his house like humming merrily and watering his plants and crap
gale:
i dont think hes coordinated at all. like this man is tripping down the stairs on a daily basis. he is dropping his tea, his book, his body, ect. to the point that hes got a habit of just hugging the railing for dear life every time he has to go down a staircase. this made traversing shit like the underdark actually literally horrible. every time he falls karlach is so overly concerned and probably offers to carry him. astarion, to everyones dismay, dies laughing each and every time
pretty sure wyll and shadowheart have a conversation about weird book porn. i am here to say that gale was holding back his power while that conversation happened. gale has read so much book porn and if you knew the real scale of it you would be concerned. tara is concerned at least.
shadowheart:
especially during early game, i feel like shadowheart was literally clenching so hard to avoid admitting cute things were cute. like "oh.. a stray mutt... charming I MEAN IN LIKE A GROSS WAY". she was trying to hard to be all scary and into shar and shit but she just really likes puppies and other animals and crap
if she were modern i feel like she would really like pixar movies (inside out comes to mind for reasons i cannot explain) and wear long jean skirts. i cant explain any of this but it is fact in my mind. even in the bg3 setting i do feel like she would wear very long boxy type skirts. sort of plays into her whole "dark priestess" sort of vibe
shadowheart was sitting in her tent with scissors fucking losing her shit with anxiety trying to cut her own bangs without a mirror. it is a literal miracle from selune that they dont look like complete and total shit. no wonder halsin was surprised. (minor silverheart/shadow'zel: when she first like actually properly noticed what shaodwheart did with her hair, since the initial joke is she cant tell what changed, i think lae'zel was very impressed. she even likened it to like a sort of war paint against shar. also we KNOW lae'zel likes silver)
(can be interpreted as bladeheart/,,, do wyll and shadowheart have a ship name yet? HM. well anyway i think that in conjunction with the previous headcanon about wyll gardening, he and shadowheart garden together and he specially grew her night orchids)
lae'zel:
ever since i looked at her stupid little mindflayer training dummie in camp ive had the image of her in my head very angrily and intensly carving up a turnip to look like a mindflayer. draws a little mean face on it like the worlds most violent six year old. every time she messes up on her little DIY project shes muttering curses in tir'su.
lae'zel will take any opportunity to infodump about githyanki culture. specifically red dragons. if she met a red dragonborn or even maybe a follower of tiamat or some shit she would be so hype. in her "i hate everyone SVAH" way ofc. but like. trying to casually slide trivia into battle conversation or party banter with all the subtlety of an owlbear. "yes... the battle preparations are proceeding as expected... as expected a red dragons hibernation cycle..." and everyone just has to turn their head and ask what the fuck shes talking abt
(can be thought of as silverweave: lae'zel and gale talk in draconic about dragon history and the celestial plane. hes so tickled to have a mutual interest with lae'zel)
no one hears lae'zel laugh but when they do its so weird. like its some weird like hissing sort of sound and everyone has to do a double take and make sure theyre understanding what the fuck is going on for a second. lae'zel is incredibly defensive when people notice it but theyre not trying to be mean
karlach:
before her engine gets fixed but like early on to where shes not used to it, karlach keeps trying to touch things and keeps breaking them. this fills her with genuine despair and she will start crying (everyone in camp has to go on a group effort to calm her down). she just thinks the world is so beautiful and is so sad she cant interact with it
she likes to dance but in like a boot stompin way. karlach is probably just an absolute party animal when she gets her freedom back because honestly in her situation who wouldnt be. SHE JUST GOT TO NOT BE ON FIRE LET THE GIRL PARTY
once shes been fixed to the point where she can touch people, she just never stops. manhandling everyone in the party constantly. oh whats that? tav is on low health? dont worry karlach is sprinting over to put tav on her shoulder. literally any problem can be solved by karlach hugs and i wont be taking feedback on this

10th of November Dear Diary, It’s truly funny how easy it is to have your wings cut off. Or rather – to cut off your own wings just when you’re taking flight. I was supposed to not let another Distraction™ interfere with my concentration this semester, but after the dinner with Seungmin’s parents last month, we talked in the car about what went on (sort of a shit show but I’m not in the mood to talk about it anymore – something you’ll surely cuss me out for because I doubt you’ll remember by the time you read this, future me), and I almost stupidly confessed to him. After I’ve just written in my diary THAT VERY MORNING that I don’t have feelings for him, or whatever. He didn’t catch on thankfully, but what he said afterwards was him essentially rejecting me without even realising. And if I tell you it hurt – bro, it HURT. It hurt so bad, it still does, and we’ve been working together and spending all our time together for the past month. How am I supposed to get over someone I interact with on a daily basis? Ugh, anyway. I have a day off today and will go dress shopping with Yuna and her other bridesmaids. Hopefully this takes my mind off things. UGH!!! Phoebe
“So, what do you girls think?” Yuna asks all of us while twirling around in a sleeveless gown that fits her like a glove. Her silhouette is accentuated by the tight corset and the voluminous skirt; she looks just like a fairy.
“This… this is perfect!” Her mother claps once, before beginning to tear up, which in turn makes Yuna tear up as well, while the other bridesmaids clap excitedly that Yuna found her dream dress.
“Yes, I think this is the one!”
“You’re so beautiful, Yuyu. This dress was made for you.” I smile sincerely, truly happy for her.
“Thanks, Bibi.” She says, stepping down the fitting pedestal and hugging me tightly.
~
“Are you okay?” Yuna asks, most likely noticing me spacing out staring at my coffee cup.
“Yes, of course, why would you ask that?”
“You seem… distracted. Did you not like my dress?”
“What? No! I loved your dress!”
“Then what is it? You know you can tell me anything, Bibi.” She frowns and pouts, making me let out a chuckle.
“Ugh, I don’t even know where to start.”
“From the beginning, maybe?”
“There’s not even a beginning, I don’t even know when this happened.”
“What? You’re scaring me.”
I let out a sigh and contemplate for a few moments if I should really tell her.
“Fine. But you have to promise you’ll never tell anyone. And by that, I mean even Jeongin. Actually, no. Especially Jeongin.”
“Crap, this must be serious.” Yuna frowns again. “Are you in some type of trouble? Can I help you somehow?”
“Just… it’s about Seungmin.”
“Seungmin?” She tilts her head. “What about him?”
“You know how we’ve been seeing each other every day, and talking pretty much all the time…”
“Oh my fucking God.” She begins shaking her head in disbelief. “Really?! I mean, it’s not that surprising, I guess, but…”
“Yeah.” I nod, visible grimace on my face.
“Since when?”
“I’m not sure. Yuyu, what will I do?” I whine, placing my face in my hands.
“Maybe tell him? If you guys spend that much time together, he must enjoy your company, right?”
“I can’t! That’s the worst part. He’s already rejected me!”
“What?! You confessed?!”
“Shh!” I put my hands on her mouth, making her stop shouting. Everyone in the café is already looking at us. “It wasn’t like that. I just… I asked him if it wouldn’t be ridiculous for us to be dating, and he said that yeah, it would be ridiculous, so there’s that.”
“Damn, that idiot.”
“How do I stop liking him, Yuyu? I don’t know what to do.” I pout, taking a large sip from my drink.
“I have no fucking clue. He’s such an idiot. He doesn’t know what he’s missing out on.”
“Thanks for trying to make me feel better.” I smile, and she smiles back.
“I guess you really like him, huh? To be honest, even when you were dating Changbin, I don’t know why, but I always thought you’d be a better fit with Seungmin.”
“Really? Why?”
“I just told you I don’t know.” She chuckles. “But I feel like you guys just seemed to click very well. Like, you complement each other.”
“I’m so doomed.”
“This might sound absolutely insane, but what if he also likes you, but he’s afraid to ruin your friendship?”
“That’s literally impossible.”
“Why? You were the one who said a potential relationship between you two would be ridiculous.” She shrugs.
“I really doubt it.”
“Well, who knows?”
“Ugh, this is annoying. What do I do?”
“Maybe go on a date with someone else? Meet someone new?”
“Too much effort. And besides, I’m busy.”
“Doing what? Spending time with Seungmin?” She chuckles.
“Shut up.” I roll my eyes dramatically.
“By the way, Bibi, I wanted to talk to you about something…”
“Yes?”
“Do you think it’ll be okay if I moved back in until the wedding?”
“What? Of course, but why, all of a sudden? Is everything okay?” I ask, concerned. I hope Jeongin and Yuna didn’t have a fight, or anything like that.
“I love living with Innie, but I feel like doing so before we get married is quite… wrong? Besides, we will buy a new house after the wedding anyway, so there’s no point in getting used to living in his apartment. We were talking about it the other day, and he also agreed we could move back to the dorms after Christmas.” Yuna explains, so I nod.
I don’t really understand where she’s coming from, but she is all about experiencing an “authentic life” – as she likes to call it – so, of course, I won’t disagree with her.
“You can move back in anytime, Yuyu.”
~
The next morning when I wake up, nothing seems unusual at first.
I yawn, get out of bed and look confused around the room. It’s way too early in the morning, and I would’ve rather slept until 11, but I have to start getting ready for Uni.
Just another morning.
After I get dressed, I pull out my phone from my charger to check what time it is. Surprisingly, I’m ready in time, which means Seungmin won’t have a reason to whine all the way to Uni.
He’s always complaining about us being late for our first class because of me, although we’re never really late; we always get there 5 minutes too early. Seungmin would like us to get there even earlier.
When I look again at my screen, though, something catches my eye.
A new message, sent by Seungmin one hour ago.
Seungmin:
Not coming to Uni today. Go alone and make sure you aren’t late like usual.
I scoff and roll my eyes reading his message, but then I reread it, and I instantly grow worried. It’s not like him to miss classes.
Me:
Are you okay?
Seungmin:
Yeah, just caught a cold.
Me:
Are you at the dorms or did you go home?
Seungmin:
Dorms.
Me:
Okay. Do you need me to bring you anything?
Seungmin:
No. I just need to rest. I’ll try to fall back asleep.
Me:
Okay.
Rest well and let me know if you need anything.
Medicine, food… you name it
Seungmin:
Stop messaging me
Go to class lazy
I close my phone with another scoff, but I am still worried. After knowing him for one whole year, I’ve never seen him be sick.
What will he even eat if he won’t get out of his room?
I have to bring him something, but for the time being, I’ll let him rest and go to my classes.
~
I knock on Seungmin’s door a few times with my foot, as it’s quite difficult to do it with my hands while holding so many boxes.
“Why the fuck are you banging on my door?” Seungmin asks annoyed with a groan after opening the door, sniffling.
“Hello to you too! Seungmin, I did something illegal, and I need to confess. But first, I brought you food and medicine.” I say, brushing past him and seeing myself in.
“What the fuck did you do?”
“It smells terrible in here, like sickness!” I ignore him and make myself at home in the small dorm room, taking out the boxes with food I bought – things like porridge, soup, chicken and some other stuff I thought might be good for him.
“That might be because I’m sick, did it cross your mind?” He asks unimpressed.
“We need to air this room.” I shake my head and ignore him, opening the window.
“Bee, I’m way too tired to comprehend the million words you’re saying.” He sighs, coming close to the desk and grabbing a napkin to blow his nose.
“Don’t think, just eat.” I urge him to sit down, and he leans his head back, seemingly exasperated.
“I don’t have an appetite.”
“It doesn’t matter. You need food in your system in order to get better faster. Besides, you can’t take pills on an empty stomach, so go ahead and eat while I tell you about the illegal activities conducted today that could get me expelled.”
“Should I be worried?” He asks, finally sitting down and grabbing the spoon, starting to eat the soup. It seems I caught his attention.
“I don’t know. If I get expelled, it’s because of you, so…”
“Because of me?” He raises an eyebrow and then starts coughing.
“You poor thing, you’re really sick.”
“Of course. You didn’t possibly think I was lying, did you?”
“No.” I shake my head.
“Okay, what did you do?”
“So, I was sitting in class next to Jeongin, and none of us had any idea what the professor was saying, and I turned to him and said – Bro, Seungmin is counting on us to take notes. What are we going to do? To which Jeongin replied I’ve got no clue. What if he fails the class because of us and our lack of skill when it comes to taking notes? And then I said – Fuck. We’re doomed. Jeongin was also panicking. He was sure you were going to hate us, so I thought of something brilliant. I took my phone out and recorded the whole lesson, then, during the break, I checked the recording and you could hear the professor perfectly! Jeongin said I was a genius, but then we told Yuna, who said this is illegal in our University and could get us expelled if we’re found out. But that didn’t stop me, Minnie. I recorded everything. You will not fail any classes because of me.”
“My God, you speak so much.” Seungmin sneers.
“Sorry, I got carried away.” I grimace, realising that I might be too much for sick Seungmin.
Hell, I’m probably too much for regular Seungmin as well.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry. I’m just very tired and my head hurts. I couldn’t sleep all night.”
“Damn, how did you get sick?” I ask and instinctively raise my hand to touch his forehead, and sure enough, he is burning up.
Seungmin seems taken aback by my actions and instantly looks into my eyes.
“Not sure, really.”
“You should’ve gone home and had people take care of you.”
“I don’t… uhm, I thought I’d rest better here.”
“At the dorms?” I chuckle in disbelief.
“Yeah. My mom is very panicky whenever I get sick, and I can’t deal with her nagging right now. She always checks in on me a million times a day.”
“Mhm. As mothers do.” I chuckle, thinking fondly of my mom back at home. She is the exact same way. “Do you like the food?”
“Yes. Thank you, Bee. You shouldn’t have.”
I shrug and stand up, closing the window. After all, winter is coming quickly, and it’s getting too cold. Seungmin is also shivering because of the fever, although he isn’t saying anything about it.
“Yuna told me they’ll move back in the dorms.” I change the subject, looking around the room and trying to make myself useful. However, Seungmin is very organised, so there’s nothing for me to clean up.
“So I’ve heard.”
“We’re going to have roommates again.” I look at his bed and tilt my head.
I’m going to change his sheets.
Fresh sheets are good when you’re sick.
“Yeah. Hey, what are you doing?” He asks me puzzled as I’m ripping his bed apart.
“What does it look like I’m doing?”
“Stop it, Bee.” He rolls his eyes.
“Shut up and eat.”
“You shut up. You’re so loud!”
“Says you.” I roll my eyes again. “Where do you keep your spare sheets?”
“There aren’t any. I took them to be washed the other day, and I forgot to tell my assistants to bring it back.”
“Alright, I’ll be back in a sec!” I chirp and make my way out of his room before he has the chance to complain again.
I go down two floors and head straight to my room, taking out some of my spare clean sheets, and I thank the Lord for washing them just a few days ago. They still smell fresh.
“Okay, I’m back!” I announce as I enter his room again, and I see Seungmin is standing up and cleaning after himself. “Nooo, sit back down!”
“It’s okay Bee, let me clean up.”
“No, you’re sick. You aren’t doing anything. Sit down and wait until I’m done changing your sheets.”
“What the fuck are those?” He points to the bedding in my hands, his expression horrified.
“What do you think?” I reply, unimpressed.
“They have bunnies on them.”
“So?”
“Aren’t you too old for something like that?”
“You’re never too old for cute bedsheets, dummie. Now, sit back down.” I chuckle and begin making his bed.
“You really don’t have to do this.”
“I know.”
“Then, why?”
“Because you took care of me when I needed someone. I’m returning the favour. Now, will you please, for the love of God, for baby Jesus and the sheep and anything else holy in this world, listen to me?”
“… Fine.” He replies after a few seconds in which it seems he’s processing what I said, and finally sits at his desk.
“Take some medicine too.”
“Alright.”
He nods and finally lets me do as I please, so I manage to change his sheets fairly quickly.
“Okay, done! You can lay down now. See how fast I can work if you’re not on my case the whole damn time?” I ask with a sickeningly sweet smile.
“Shut up.” He rolls his eyes, but follows suit anyway, and goes to bed while I clean up the table.
After everything looks neat once again, I look at him and notice his eyes are closed, and an involuntary smile makes its way on my lips.
“Try to get some sleep, hm?”
“Thanks, Bee.”

Today's (3/3/2025) Episode: Giving Back
The newly adult Skye joined his fiancée and Great Grandfather in Brindleton just in time to celebrate the Harvestfest holiday.
"Hopefully there's something nice in here to make the place look festive" Skye fretted as xe rummaged through the old decoration box.
"I'm sure there is, don't worry" Candor soothed as he worked on refreshing the mural in Luigi's currently empty old room "Anyway, the old house already looks great after its recent facelift, even if the blue is more in keeping with Winterfest than Harvestfest! I wonder what color will dominate when you and Elyse give me my next generation of grandkids?" He chuckled heartily as Skye blushed. "It's never been the same twice."
Skye did indeed find a couple items to add a little extra Harvestfest Spirit to the Homestead. Xe quickly got all those decorative knick-nacks set out before hustling into the kitchen to bake up some treats for their next adventure of the day.
Elyse was making her own contribution to their outing. "That's a really unique blending of colors" Candor told her "but you're using a pretty heavy hand. Relax your wrist, focus on gentle tip strokes from end to end" she nodded, taking a breath and adjusting her grip on the brush.
Surveying the finished product a short time later she shot a worried glance over her shoulder at her mentor "what do you think?" "I think it's going to bring a good price at the charity art sale" he replied. "Great job. Pack it up, let's grab our resident chef, and get going. We don't want to be late!"
"Candor! Welcome, it's always lovely to see you" the director of the San Sequioa rec center greeted him like an old friend. A good sim, Candor enjoyed giving back to his community and was a regular volunteer at the venue.
“Malakai, looking handsome as ever!" Candor replied with a grin "I've got a couple friends with me today; we've brought goodies for the sale and experienced helping hands for the kitchen."
"That's what I like to hear" Malakai clapped in delight "You know the way, you good to get them acclimated? I was just going to go set out the puzzles in the game room" Candor nodded, waving for the others to follow him as he headed off down the hall.
Elyse hung out at the art table and while Skye and Candor headed to the dining hall after grabbing some photos of their donations to the bake sale.
"Lunch starts in a couple hours" xir grandfather said. “Go introduce yourself to the head chef and then everything you need to make the meal is in the fridge. You ready to get cooking?"
"Always" Skye grinned, saying hello to Jessica before getting started while Candor helped set the tables.
"Oh grim, this is GOOD" one elder sim exclaimed over a spoonful of Skye’s tomato soup “You’ve outdone yourself in the kitchen today, Jessica!”
“I wish I could take the credit” she replied, “but our newest volunteer here actually made that one.”
Skye, who’d worried xe’d over spiced the meal, smiled shyly at the unexpected praise. “I’m glad you like it” xe finally managed “Happy Harvestfest.”
“… and I was worried no one would want to buy my painting, everyone else’s work was so much better, but it sold for over 200 simoleons!” Elyse enthused as the group arrived back in Brindleton “the sim who bought it said they are going to hang it right in their entryway – can you believe it!?”
“That’s great!” Skye and Candor agreed, and the ancient mage added: “You both should be proud of yourselves. Thanks for coming out with me today.”
With his grandfatherly duty to engage the next generation in good works met for the day, Candor went back to work on his latest freelance gig.
Those youngsters, still brimming with energy and overflowing with plans of their own banged happily around the family home that had been much too quiet for much too long. As he worked Candor smiled at the sounds of Elyse working out in the home gym, while his grandchild typed furiously away on the computer in xir office to meet some deadline before heading to the kitchen.
The smells of roasting feast soon wafted from that area, the familiar scent leaving Candor excited for the family that would shortly gather at the old homestead to celebrate Harvestfest with them. It was like a revival of years gone by in ancestral Brindleton Bay, and he was overjoyed to see it.

So, I'm going to rank more of the cuphead bosses, but this time I'll make it shorter lol. I'll also put a compiled list down at the end.
24. Dr. Kahl's Robot - This is now on my top 10 favorite bosses of all time, but i have to say, this is, third stage. The chaos emeralds just coming at you and you can only get the pink ones by dodging the laser walls and crystals. Crazy. I love the aspect on how it builds up now, but you also have to hit his three weak points in a certain way on the first stage to even remotely get close to an S rank easier. Overall, the bombs killed me the most and if I don't have to play it, I may not.
23. Mortimer Freeze - just annoying all around. RNG sucks with any projectile, including cards, Popsicles, and the lazers on the last phase. I think cool idea, but actually annoying as heck when this is a boss you really need a precise reaction time. The last phase truly sucks so much a**
22. Moonshine Mob - probably the most iconic fake out knock outs that killed everyone 😂 I truly love the second phase because bee girl 🥰 but, the first phase can be an RNG killer. What saves this from going lower is the third phase I kind of like, but the fake out with the tongue can get annoying to even try to dodge or parry.
21. Phear Lap - truly ironically killing everyone their first time playing the King Dice... Blue hood guy kills everyone I feel like. I actually like how they did the circles horse shoes coming at you, but I can't tell you how many lives I lost on this mini boss before continuing because of... Blue Hoody Guy. Though, super comes in clutch in this fight.
20. Baroness Von Bon Bon - Truly one of the first times I started to actually struggle in the game. First phase was alright, no matter who was the first to come out. But then, starting on the second and third phase, I swear cupcake dude made me so mad I reset everytime I got him. I think the only other dude with bad RNG that made me mad was candy corn. Other than that, I think the third phase was alright, but too long though. It takes like two supers to kill her last phase. But I remember being so frustrated with her 3rd and last phase that I started to dislike the game from her!
19. Chips Bettigan - just an annoying mini boss all around. Boring as hell. COOL TYPE OF BOSS! You can dash through him almost every time, and still end up possibly losing 1 health. Just boring, not worth exploring to come back, and annoying to die from (as a beginner mostly).
18. Mr. Chimes - the last mini boss who really tests your patience... on patience. I have some, but Jesus. Getting cards wrong in the wrong place could get bad RNG with him speeding up towards you. Monkey claps are pretty easy no lie, and I actually like the type of design where he has to be hit in phases. But, it's more like the patience you have to have in this mini boss.
17. Angel and Demon - basically one of the hardest fights in the game, and spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME trying to figure out the code to unlock it. The fight goes hard, but spending an hour on it just isn't worth it to not play again. The concept is great, flipping loved it. BUT! I think this was the hardest time I raged in cupheas (compared to Cow girl, maybe the same). Never got to boring though!
16. Goopy Le Grande - One of the best beginner bosses! Too easy though. Even for a beginner player. Thought it may got harder for S ranking, nope. Boring after 3 attempts. Good intro boss and a great concept for a beginner boss, but not challenging at all.
15. Wally Warbles - Ain't no way the second phase is just that easy in between a very hard first and third phase, like what!? First phase is fine until either you're not paying attention to his fingers and have a split second to dodge bullets, or the fact the egg bombs spread three hard dodging ways. This is the boss I feel like took the longest and I swear I was hating this boss so much, I left it 4 times until I HAD TO FINISH IT! Most of the times, when you're ready to use a super on the second phase, you may get unlucky and accidentally hit a feather. Though, I love the baby bird and last phase, the first three is what set me off to hate it the most. Though, this was a challenging level and I started to like it a lot afterwards because it makes you utilize techniques you can use!
I wrote less today, but ranking over 10 was so thought provoking, I lost my mind XD Hoenstly, the hardest ones to rank were these. I might even switch it afterwards.

For the three sentence prompt! How about Henry and Kate but they work in an office (you can choose the type of office)??
*claps hands* Thanks you! Okay, the way I work with these, I write three sentences and then do an extended scene underneath, because I have zero self-restraint. (I also have zero knowledge of office jobs, so I hope you like this 😅)
____
Henry was trying to ignore just how much Kate was questioning him, arguing with everything he said, laughing when he smacked his head on the desk that he was laying underneath, calling him by a nickname that he was very unappreciative of.
It wasn't that he didn't like her, because he did, in an annoying-little-sister way, but it was getting a little tiresome, especially considering the fact that he was doing this for her as a favor, not because he was actually being paid to do it.
Still, Kate's triumphant crow of that nickname when her computer lit back up with her work was worth it, along with her helping him to his feet, especially when she suggested that she pay for a meal once they were both out of the office for the night.
"Are you sure that you know what you're doing, Hank?"
"Henry. Not Hank." Henry corrected, annoyed, as he navigated the mess of cords that were underneath the desk.
"Whatever. You've been down there for a pretty long time."
"I wouldn't be down here at all if someone hadn't tried to play a CD at the same time they were going through a boatload of data."
"You're joking! There's no way my music did all that. It has to be the database."
"Whatever software you downloaded to use the CD made the whole thing overload." Henry countered, navigating another cord and silently cursing.
It really was time for an upgrade on the tech, like he had been insisting, because the amount of cords down here was ridiculous.
But he finally managed to get the CD to eject and he snatched it out of the drive, sitting up only to crack his head into the bottom of the desk.
Kate laughed, leaning over the cubicle wall a little further. Henry had no idea how she was managing that, considering that she was practically too short too even see over them in the first place.
"This thing is the whole problem, not the system." he said, waving it as he rubbed his head.
"So you say."
"Yes, so I say."
"You have no proof." Kate said smugly, grinning as she looked down at him.
"If you wanted proof, you should have called the IT department, not me."
"IT takes forever and you're ten feet away. Do the math, Hank."
"It's Henry."
He dove back under the desk, fiddling with things.
Henry liked Kate. He really did. She was new and probably not well suited to an office job when it really came to it, but she had 'needed a job that was considered boring and legal' and, well, the boss always liked to take in strays.
But she was also infuriating, calling him Hank, taking folders full of files and not putting them back when she was done, using company computers to play CDs on sketchy software.
Then running to Henry when something happened.
The thing about Kate was that none of it was malicious. She simply did something and was bewildered when it made someone unhappy or something stop working.
Which was probably why Henry liked her as much as he did.
That, and she reminded him powerfully of someone else.
"Do you actually know what you're doing down there?" Kate repeated now, as he disconnected a cord.
"Yes, I do."
"Mmm."
"Call IT if you want it done differently."
"Can't, it's like ten thirty. Everyone else went home."
"Why didn't you?" Henry grunted as he shoved himself further across the carpet to get a better look.
Kate didn't answer for such a long time that Henry figured that she just hadn't heard him. Which was fine, because it allowed him to work in silence.
"I can't mess this up." Kate said quietly. "Magnus took a chance on me. I can't show her that she made the wrong choice."
Henry paused for a moment, deciding not to say anything. The boss wasn't likely to boot Kate for little mistakes, especially when she was new, and she probably would have been shocked to learn that Kate was still here, though there was no doubt in Henry's mind she herself was still up in her office, going through the paperwork that always piled up.
Kate fell silent and Henry realized that his silence probably hadn't been the most helpful thing in the world, but he ignored this as he finally managed to reroute things so that the computer would reboot without erasing anything. It was a little trick he had learned a few years back, teaching another stubborn girl to use the system.
"Way to go, Hank!" Kate crowed and he slid out from beneath the desk to see that the computer screen was glowing once again, displaying the database.
Kate walked around the cubicle wall and reached down, surprising Henry, but he took her hand and let her help haul him to his feet.
"Just try not to do it again." he said, running a hand through his hair.
Kate nodded, looking a little sheepish.
"I'm buying you dinner when I'm done." she declared, poking him in the chest and dropping down into her chair.
"Fine, but I get to pick."
"Deal."
Henry edged out of Kate's space as she spun in her chair, drumming her fingers along the edge of the desk before she went back to typing.
Really, most private medical foundations wouldn't have hired someone like Kate, especially not for the data, paperwork, and filing bit, but she was a hard worker and stubborn as they came.
Henry trudged his way back into his office, leaving the door part way open and dropping back down at his desk and the stack of papers that was still sitting there.
He was supposed to be going over the reports from their latest medical study for Magnus, reviewing them and stuff before sending them up to her for final approval, but he was finding it extremely hard to concentrate at the moment.
He was pretty sure that the actual doctors and medical geniuses had the easy part of the job. All they did was cut people open and perform treatments. The people like Henry and Kate were the ones that kept the gears turning.
Henry had only been back at it for about ten minutes when there was a knock on his doorway.
He looked up to see Kate standing there.
"Yeah?"
"It didn't exactly say thank you."
"Don't worry about it."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Henry rubbed his eyes tiredly as he skimmed the reports, taking notes of the side effects and such so that he could enter it into the database at some point.
It was easier to take notes by hand as he went instead of having to read it all and enter it all in the database at the same time.
"Hank?"
Henry sighed a little and looked up at Kate.
"It is past office hours."
"So?"
"You wanna get dinner now?"
Henry felt his shouldres slump, even as he smiled a little.
"Yeah. I'd like that."
"Great!"
Kate bounced back out into the main office area to her desk, which Henry could see from his door. He watched as she powered down the computer and pulled on her jacket.
"Hank, come on!"
"I'm coming!"
Henry got up, turned off everything, and followed Kate out of the office.

On my other socials, my main thing was my OCs for my project Mage Prophecies.
About this girl, Mio, who was a reincarnation of a goddess. And she tries to learn more about the past incarnations. She learns wonders and many many HORRORS.

*old art*
I like thinking about her story, OoS, and the parallels between them. So brain rot about the Etrian Odyssey OC vs Mage Prophecies OC pairs I think of.
Hana and Mio

Teen girls plagued by the HORRORS! Hana is haunted by the future, Mio is haunted by the past. They are both seen as little outcasts who want fame and renown. Both had really lonely childhoods and long for friends. But that's all they have in common really.
Hana is... Very standoffish...! If someone doubts her, she will hold a grudge! Mio is super friendly! If someone doubts her she gets determined to prove them wrong... but will always be kind!
Hana wants friends but rejects/doesn't acknowledge kindness toward her for while. Mio wants friends and tries to desperately make them by making a RELIGION ABOUT IT. Become one of her sect members! You'll be her family!
They seem like opposites, but they really do have a similar motive--
If they met: Hana would think Mio was weird for calling herself a goddess but would be swayed by Mio's whimsy and interest in her. (Like everyone in Mio's story)
~~~
Alope and Mel
Mel is a supporting character in Mage Prophecies! She's like the protector in Mio's party, which the ability to form hologram shields to protect them. She can spawn a wall of protection as will but still gets her shit rocked running into danger!!!
SoooooOooo Alopecore!
These two are based off similar characters. Tbh it's hard to differentiate them until I realized one HUGE difference. Alope is poor, and Mel is filthy FILTHY RICH. LIKE WEALTHY FAMILY.
So. Alope goofs up like in chapter 1 and she is treated so (Hana shows disapproval). But MEL? EVERYONE WANTS THE GOOD WORD WITH HER. They clap and say she did a great job and it goes to her head. She is like Alope if no one around her STOPPED HER. (Tho eventually she does get told off)
Mel is pretty friendly, but initially (also subtly) condescends Mio before warming up to her. Also. Given her noble history, she tends to be a bit biased in politics, siding with the king of the country just bc she knows him. She's naive. But she's the type of noble who learns to understand and protect those in her domain.
Alope is also friendly! And also.. condescends the main chara (Hana) not so subtly. But unlike Mel she is more flexible with her views bc she's not constantly being praised. Alope's arc is... much different from Mel's.
Mel is actually more naive than Alope. Blah blah Alope lore I haven't gotten into but Alope's cheery nature is sometimes feigned while Mel's is genuine all the time. She'd be a little jealous of Mel.
But personality wise. Their similarities are super uncanny...
Main characters: plotting something elaborate
Alope/ Mel: So what if I run head first into it?
Main charas: what. The HELL. GET BACK HERE???
If they met: it'd be at a bar. Alope would say something utterly ridiculous and when Hana would glare at her, Mel would turn around and say...
"Nooooo, don't get embarrassed. You are soooooo funny!"
Next shot they are making out in an alleyway.
~~~
Ignis and Lady Micah

Lady is an antagonist in Mage Prophecies. Not a villain, but she intends to stop Mio from roaming around so freely via banishing her.
She's cold. Heartless even to children, her own unintentionally.
She is. The opposite of Ignis. Yet she's one of the only characters that's an older adult in Mio's story. She and Ignis are around the same age (44+)
I think its funny they're so opposite. Maybe as I aged my view of adults changed?? Bc Lady and every Mage Prophecies adult is so... strange and evil. Meanwhile I made Ignis recently and... he is strange and good. Yeah. He might not like what the youngins in his guild do.... but he sees why and will still protect them. LADY??? SHE SENT MIO OFF TO FIGHT UNDEADS... ALSO SENT HER DAUGHTER WITH MIO??? TO PROVE A POINT AND SCARE THEM??
If they met: Ignis would REALLY HATE LADY. She is gaslight gatekeep girlboss and he is just a chivalrous man.
I've joked about the adults in OoS jumping the Mage Prophecies ones bc they are BONKERS AND ACT UNREAL (but that's why I love them).
It's a neat way to develop both sets of characters outside of canon.... thinking about their reactions. Another part comparing Tank and Enid to MP ocs will come too! Enid and Tank (and even ignis) dont have straight comparisons... Enid in particular is similar to like 3 characters and Tank is similar to a bunch as well! I'll have to pick which ones are the most humorous/interesting/ like them!
Anyway, my MP ocs are dear to me, but currently reworking them and... if I get back into them I'll probably post them on a side blog!
#brainrot#ragna ramblings#Oc plug#i have to redesign my ocs before i can rlly get into them... ough#like in the examples some are white and they are not anymore...

Embarking on watching all the Batman movies pt 8: Superman vs. Batman: Dawn of Justice (2016):
I actually really liked this one.
In terms of plot, it’s structured very much like a comic book, and there are a lot of shorter plot points feeding into an overall plot. While I personally really loved it, it didn’t work as well as I think they hoped it would. It was also fairly long (I watched the extended version which was 3hrs), and while I didn’t get the feeling of “ugh they could’ve cut this out” that I usually do in long movies, it still dragged on in a couple places.
When it came to acting, everyone did a good job. Henry Cavill plays Superman a little more on the serious side, which is rarer to see so I enjoyed that. Ben Affleck does a really nice the-cowl-is-barely-off Bruce, and it was fun to see the detective side come through. Obviously Gal Gadot is perfect in every way. Amy Adams does a great job of showing Lois’s sincerity. The younger, slightly more psychotic Lex was really fun, and it makes the timeline make more sense with this being a Batman Year Two and Superman still being fairly new on scene.
The movie opens with Bruce comforting a newly orphaned child, and I super loved that, because I feel like that aspect is missing from all the live action Batman movies thus far. A lot of the scenes were set up in a way that made them look very comic book esque, and that was super fun. I think this was a much more effective Batman Year Two than Dark Knight for a couple reasons, mostly because we actually see him go to the brink of killing someone several times, and we get to see him decide to back away from that path. He looks scary when he’s Batman, he’s still mostly urban legend, and he’s pretty awkward in almost every non-Batman interaction we see him in.
This movie also bucks the trend which all of the others followed, and has an exactly equal main woman to main man ratio. We have Batman, Superman, Lois, Diana, Lex, and the Senator. It made me able to stop feeling like I was watching a male power play for a bit and therefore I enjoyed it a little more. Lois had agency and ultimately furthered the plot more than either Clark or Bruce, which I loved because in the comics, the big three (Clark, Bruce, and Diana) are almost solely used as symbols for most of the time (especially 90s-2010s) and their side characters drive much of the story.
My biggest overall issue is that we don’t have any of the Gotham Rogues. All the villains are Superman’s, which was definitely interesting, but I feel like with the time they were given, they could’ve fleshed out the Gotham aspect as well as the Metropolis one. However, I loved the hints we got to the Justice League (and I do like the Justice League movie), and I liked that we got hints of the Lex/Kryptonian cloning process. With that being hinted at, and Cyborg being created, it felt like it was being structured very similarly to how a Batman/Superman Year Two comic would be structured, with hints of the next generation happening very early on.
My two personal favourite parts of this were that A, all the women had agency (and there were multiple women!) and B, it felt like they put a lot of thought into the timeline and any repercussions of the changes they made. I didn’t at any point go “this doesn’t make any sense!”, or feel as though they had done something that made another future canon thing impossible.
In terms of personal enjoyment, I’m going to give this a 6.5/10. Just like Batman 1989, this type of comic isn’t usually my favourite to read, but the way they adapted it was mostly good. As always, I wish we had more Batman side characters, but it was absolutely a step in the right direction. I got chills when we heard the Wonder Woman theme, and I clapped when she saved Bruce.
In terms of comic accuracy, I’m gonna give this an 8/10. I literally cannot think of a single thing that they changed that they did not work to ensure it would still work in-universe, and the plot was accurate (sometimes to its detriment, as it didn’t always adapt to the screen well). I especially loved the allusions to Death of Superman towards the end.

Alice in Wonderland 2010
Interesting they put more emphasis on what's going on in the real world in this movie, with Alice's parents being real characters, her dad is a weird quirky character that made Alice so weird and quirky, and her mother doesn't agree with that, she's a #wokefeminist child who doesn't believe in corsets and stockings etc etc. Also she's an aristocracy child which I guess she was in the original but that's more important now. Also interestingly, through the characters revealed in the intro scene, Wonderland is like a metaphor dream now and not just weird things happening? Makes sense, they had to make it more of a real story. Another very interesting thing I didn't know about or see coming, is that this is like a sequel to the original Alice in Wonderland? But maybe with a different Alice? But there's like fantasy kingdom politics here. Also they're adapting more Lewis Caroll stuff and there's a Jabberwocky and a Bandersnatch and more stuff like that. a White queen based on chess instead of cards, who's a fair and good queen and not evil or whatever. And an evil prince? possibly? that's allied with the queen of hearts, just like an ambiguous evil guy to do evil. It all ends in a big cool chessboard battle field with an awesome war between the chess and card knights and various secondary characters, also there's castle ruins there for even more scenery. She uses the lesson she learned in wonderland to epically own everyone in the wedding in an 'an everyone clapped' moment, and then decides to help her entrepeneur uncle start the first trade route with China, causing the opium war.
Now, I haven't seen many movies starring Johnny Depp, besides Pirates of the Caribbean where he only plays one character, but I feel like as the Mad Hatter here, he's kind of playing a very similar character? but more like Irish in the voice possibly? It's really a similar character. Alos they CGI'd his eyes slightly bigger and it's so incredibly distracting and awful once you realize.
It's a very CGI heavy remake and that's what it's known for but honestly the CGI isn't that bad, it's good quality 2010 CGI with budget put into it so that it isn't really ugly, it ages well. The CGI however, absolutely does not hold up for tweedledee and tweedledum, they look really gross and they're weird french bald egg look is just awful. Absolem, better known as the smoking caterpillar, also kind of fucked up they gave him a weird human face with a nose and everything. The dodo looks good though but it's just a regular CGI bird, same with the white rabbit. The card-knights look amazing and they could've been really fucked up. The red queen looks bad because they gave her a small body and a big head, weird decision, really bad one. The Cheshire Cat is arguably bad, I can see why it'd have haters, but I'm a bit of a fan honestly, it was on all those hot-topic shirts for a reason. The Jabberwocky is a curious design, it has 4 legs and 2 wings, hexapodal type dragon, classic, but it mainly walks on its 2 back legs and its 2 wing arms, and it has kind of a scrawny body with a very long neck, also it can talk. All together makes for a pretty interesting design that, while odd, I'm a fan of.
There's a common mistake, made in producing sequels or remakes or what have you of old media, and it's that, if the original was a musical, further media should be too, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory understood this, and every movie has had songs in it. Oz the Great and Powerful didn't and that was a mistake, this movie doesn't and I believe that too was a mistake.
Final Review: Honestly I was expecting this to be awful with bad CGI, but turns out, it's surprisingly ok? The plot was kind of whatever, a lot of time spent not doing a lot of things, but it's never actually bad. I guess I can see how this got so powerful in 2010s culture. It's in no way a must-see movie, but if you have the chance and the interest, and possibly the drugs, why not see it?

It wasn’t conclusive data detailed in a graph and tables from abundant tests, but it was more than enough to solidify the idea in Leo’s head. Any doubt he may have had now fled, especially with the recent development he’d noticed the past few days. He couldn’t help the stunned look he was sharing with the rest of his present family, but that was slowly exchanged for a wide smile. “...We’re really twins?” he couldn’t help but ask.
“I would have to test it, but it is not out of the question of possibility,” Draxum confirmed as Splinter and Casey made their way into the area now as well.
“Oh, I didn’t know you guys hadn’t figured that out yet,” Casey mused aloud, having caught the tail end of the conversation.
There was a stretch of silence as the others processed Casey’s loose confirmation of tests Draxum hadn’t even begun to run, and then Mikey blurted his reaction first. “YOOOO Really?? You mean this whole time Donnie and Leo have been in each other’s brains?!?! Wow! That is so unfair!” Mikey’s outburst derailed Leo’s own thoughts slightly, and earned laughter from April and a chuckle from Raph.
“Awww don’t worry Mikey. At least you get private time for real instead of having someone always in your head,” April consoled.
“Yeah, that’s true,” Mikey hummed, instantly placated for now as he considered the difference it would actually make.
“Well you’re in luck, because all four of you are haunted,” Draxum abruptly announced, clapping his hands together. “So you can figure out for yourself what it’s like to have a companion all day every day.”

* slides this over to the public and pats it gently *
Sometimes I get stuff invading my brain like a plague until I type it out or draw it, and I actually have this whole headcanon timeline universe thingy that currently has 30 pages of scattered one shot drabble story bits relating to it. I wasn’t planning on posting anything obviously relating to it until after I finished the Better Genes comic, but that peepaw tournament that’s been going on has been making it hard for me to focus ‘cause I keep getting distracted by this other stuff. And then I ended up doodling out these images, and that first one I just finished now and really wanted to post it. Which means now instead of a proper intro everyone gets vague dustings of stuff. |DD
I’m calling it “Tethered Timeline”, and it’s pretty much a whirlwind brain barf that spilled out when I had the idea of Casey’s 4 dads the 4 boys from Casey’s timeline get yoinked back to the present time after the Krang are defeated and tethered on a 3 meter leash to their younger counter parts. And also no one living can see or hear them, and they can only physically affect things that are exclusively owned by their younger selves. Their current goal is to get one person from the living world to realize who they are.
The drawings are essentially concepts of Spirit Donnie, and the story clip is from a typed part I have where the younger boys (minus Donnie) learn that they have spirits tethered to them.
....... *wheezes* enjoy ;7;
