Jake swallowed as he stared down at his phone, seeing the texts from his agent about the breaking story. About every bottom feeder of a news outlet announcing his relationship to the world. Taking a breath, Jake forced himself to straighten up and turn around to see Bradley smiling at him for a second before his brow furrowed, lips pulling down into a pronounced frown. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" Jake watched as Bradley turned the burner off, moving their eggs to the back one before he was crossing the small kitchen to pull him into a hug. Tucking his face into his neck, Jake squeezed his eyes shut, arms wrapping around those broad shoulders he adored and let himself sink into that strong, unyielding body he loved. He let himself have this for another moment before he pulled back enough to softly murmur, "News broke about us." Jake felt, more than saw since his eyes were still squeezed shut tightly, the way Bradley's body locked up tight. The way his breath caught as he processed what exactly Jake had said, what exactly that meant. Meant for him. Meant for Jake. Meant for them.
