I just want to add the following: I cannot guarantee that this is 100% accurate or up to date. I will do my best to update when we get new Jason content. I have not had any help with this and got the information from multiple other sources. Because I've had no help, no one has proof checked this so there might be some errors.
If you notice any errors or know of anything I've missed please let me know and I will fix the error as soon as I can!

so about ollie accidentally giving hal the brokeback mountain experience… care to elaborate on that lmao?
Tumblr media
I wanna preface by saying I have seen Brokeback Mountain and it was a beautifully tragic movie that made me cry and it deserves much more praise than it was ever given, and my comment is in no way meant to woobify everything that went on.
that being said, purely in the context of hal/ollie, I like to think at some point during the hard traveling heroes era roadtrip, hal and ollie hooked up once or twice or four or six times. maybe more. who knows.
ollie comes off to me as a man who'll say he's straight if asked but is actually a deeply deeply closeted bi man. it's a part of himself he's uncomfortable with and he largely ignores because by contrast he's EXTREMELY comfortable with the rest of himself. this comes from the 3-4 men he has such a weird emotionally tense relationships with over the course of the Grell run. he has a whole cruising outfit ready to go and everything in one arc. it's a pattern.
hal however is somewhat more at ease. sure he has a string of unsuccessful girlfriends that he can't seem to figure out why it won't ever work but it doesn't bother him TOO much other than feeling a little lost (that's canon at least!). if he's aware he's bi before the hard traveling days it's not an issue because growing up with two brothers he's more socially conditioned to not think about it/think more about women anyways.
THEN COMES THE FAMOUS ROAD TRIP.
ollie's unfaithful, we all know that, everyone in universe knows that, and his relationship with dinah doesn't even get serious until the end of it all anyways. at some point, it's easy enough for me to imagine ollie gets bored enough in between meetups with her that. well. hal's not too bad looking, is he.
long story short, ollie gives hal his bi awakening that irrevocably changes his life forever. writers during that era mention this longing hal has that makes him unable to hold down a job or stay in place for long, and maybe it's this longing that makes hal think ollie holds the answer to that.
so they sleep together a few times, and it always always means so much more to hal than it does ollie. even in canon it's pretty apparent hal holds their friendship in much higher regard than ollie ever does, such as in Action Comics Weekly #606 when hal asks for a place to stay and ollie very bluntly blows him off:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But! it was only ever a casual fling for ollie. the road-trip ends, hal goes back to being effectively homeless, and ollie goes back to dinah. ollie gets a job. a steady, successful one even. hal's lost again, stuck in that moment. forever stuck in that era to the point that when he's well and truly lost it as Parallax, it's the first thing he goes back to as shown in Green Arrow #96 when he's so desperate for any stability that he clings to what's clearly that last time he was happy and comfortable:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
like, literally. to the point hal practically considers what he had with ollie on that road-trip home. clearly, whatever happened stuck with him, whereas ollie only ever did his best to forget.
so. ollie accidentally gave hal the brokeback mountain experience in giving him his bi awakening and then immediately pretending as though nothing ever happened. hal's stuck forever hoping for that closeness again and never gets it back. the hard traveling days are his brokeback mountain.
however, on their better moments, ollie does still call hal BABY like the good ol' days like in Cry for Justice #1 <3

Is it just me or one of the most underrated friendships Hal has with a justice league member that is hardly talked about at all is Clark. Maybe I missed something but the fact that aside from Barry, Clark is always concerned and attuned with Hal like idk, I'm not sure but I feel like they are super close or maybe I'm hallucinating or something.
I don't know about Clark and Hal being very attuned to each other, that isn't necessarily a topic I see touched on in a lot of comics, and they did spend a decent amount of time in older comics kind of establishing Clark looking down on or getting onto Hal for things, because Hal's life is a mess on the regular (and his being one of the friends that totally snubbed him on the List pre-Parallax). I will say, Legend of the Green Flame is a Great book for Hal and Clark and I believe I read somewhere that Neil Gaiman wrote it as a direct response to how Clark treated Hal during that time period?
They could be close, and I wouldn't be against hearing any headcanons about their relationship or even getting more evidence as to how their relationship is these days.
Also don't forget Hal's friendship with Oliver and Dinah, they might not always see eye to eye but he's one of Hal's best friends right up there with Barry (they even had their own little series), and then you know there's the whole he killed parallax and then Hal basically resurrected him thing, so like. Idk, Hal has a thing for blondes unless your name is Carol Ferris.
btw: the List is mentioned in Action Comics #606 (shout out to @wajjs for finding that and telling me).

Hey, can we talk about the underrated (correct me if im wrong) friendship between Hal and Clark. Like people rarely talk about that, or I've been living under a rock.
I mean, I guess it depends on the versions of the characters you stick to, because them being actually friends (instead of just “coworkers”) isn't something that's consistent in the ever changing canon.
The most clear example I can think of right now is the tone differences between The List (Action Comics #606) and how their relationship is later shown in Legend of The Green Flame.
Tumblr media
(Action Comics #606)
“I don’t mean to presume to tell you how to run your shop, Hal, but it looks pretty bad. Do you need a hand with something? −Okay, Hal. As long as you’re sure.”
“He’s sooo polite. I feel like my dad just chewed me out.”
It’s kind of an ongoing theme during this time in comics to have them shown as Clark being better than / above Hal, and Hal being an idiot that fumbles through being a hero. So of course Clark is patronizing! He doesn’t really treat Hal as an equal here, rather he approaches the conversation as if he’s talking to a rookie that’s yet to get their shit together.
The point behind The List is that Hal slowly discovers he truly does not have friends left. He doesn’t have anyone he can go to when shit hits the fan. This issue always makes me think of the song “Nobody knows you when you’re down and out” (my favorite version is by Eric Clapton)
Then I began to fall so low Lost all my good friends, and nowhere to go I get my hands on a dollar again I'm gonna hang on to it 'til that old eagle grins Because nobody knows you When you're down and out In your pocket, not one penny And as for friends, you don't have many
I say that’s the main meaning of this issue because it becomes pretty clear through Hal’s internal dialogue:
“And I’m running out of friends. Carter, John and Arthur were never my friends... Barry’s dead... Bruce pretends to be...”
In contrast waltzes in Legend of The Green Flame, that directly refers to this and shows Hal and Clark’s relationship in a different light.
Tumblr media
“Hal... The last time you called... I’m sorry I couldn’t see you. I had a lot on my mind.”
Tumblr media
“Hal, is something wrong?”
“Yeah. Yeah, something’s wrong. I need advice.”
“What are friends for? Spill it.”
Here they are portrayed in a way to show that they’re on equal terms, one isn’t inherently better than the other. The patronizing tone, the “I’m disappointed in you” kind of fatherly dialogue, they’re all swapped for an interaction in which Clark is shown to care for Hal’s general wellbeing—without any judgement getting in the way.
Hal is still struggling with the reality that some people just don’t care, can’t care, about being a helping hand when one’s in deep shit and struggling to see it through. Which is why you can take this as a “fix it” of sorts if you want, while also taking it as all heroes being infallibly human, which means that at times they will have shitty reactions and do and say things that aren’t nice.
At the same time, I feel like it’s fair to point out that Clark’s interest in helping out Hal is purely cordial. It’s the right thing to do, the good thing to do, and Clark is all about doing the good right thing.

I call BS. I get that the point of this story is that we're meant to get Hal at his lowest ebb but there's no way the other Leaguers would just hang him out to dry like this, especially when they know someone close to him has ended up dead. Action Comics 606

What to read for peterxfelicia(i'm not sure if there's a ship name?) goodness for someone who's getting into it because of the current hunted storyline?
I never know what the ship names for anything are; I think PeterFelicia goes by PeterFel and SpiderCat, but don’t quote me on that one. For Peter and Felicia content, I’d go way back to Felicia’s first appearance to start with, and then follow along from there.
Amazing Spider-Man #194-195: At the tail end of his affair with married Betty Brant, Peter runs into the Black Cat, an enigmatic thief with whom he has an instant romantic connection, but the Black Cat has her own agenda.
Amazing Spider-Man #204-205: Felicia makes her reappearance in Peter’s life. Don’t pay too much attention to the ending of this one; it quickly gets overwritten.
Amazing Spider-Man #226-227: Felicia’s scheme from the previous story pays off, and she and Peter attend a costume party. Felicia attempts to quit her criminal ways to further her romance with Spider-Man, but it’s harder than she expects.
Spectacular Spider-Man #74-79: Peter tries to help his colleague, friend, and beleaguered love interest, Deb Whitman, only to end up surprised when Felicia crashes into his life once again. The two battle Doc Ock with disastrous results.
Tumblr media
Spectacular Spider-Man #84-90: Felicia is released from the hospital and she and Peter continue their romance. In Spectacular Spider-Man #87, Peter unmasks to Felicia. Felicia, wanting to be Spider-Man’s partner in more ways than one, strikes a deal to get herself superpowers.
Spectacular Spider-Man #91: Felicia runs into Peter in his alien black suit for the first time.
Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #4: The B-Story, Cat and Mouse. Felicia goes on a wild goose chase when a carafe Peter gave her goes missing, and a friend expresses doubts about whether the relationship is good for her, which I think is an important bit of nuance – fans who don’t like PeterFel love to label Felicia as “bad” for Peter, and there is dysfunction in the early days, but I think it’s important to realize it more than goes both ways. (I love a complicated relationship.)
Amazing Spider-Man #256-258: Mary Jane reveals a secret to Peter, while Felicia has apprehensions about both Peter’s black suit and his civilian identity.
Tumblr media
(It’s not a Felicia issue but I highly recommend reading Amazing Spider-Man #259 if you haven’t already – it’s the issue that reveals Mary Jane’s backstory and it’s perfect, completely throwing all of her previous actions into a new light.)
Spectacular Spider-Man #95-100: Cracks develop in the relationship as Felicia worries her new bad luck powers are harming Spider-Man, and as Peter begins to question Felicia’s morality. They break up at the end of #100. (Peter and Felicia also have a brief and tense conversation about Felicia’s new powers in Amazing Spider-Man #263 and a frosty interaction in ASM #266, which takes place before Spectacular Spider-Man #100.)
Spectacular Spider-Man #112: My very favorite Christmas issue. While a Santa-themed robber strikes around the city, Peter, Felicia, and Mary Jane ruminate on the holidays.
Tumblr media
Spectacular Spider-Man #115-117: Peter’s attempts to get rid of Felicia’s bad luck power’s influence over him leads to her powers cutting out at the worst moment possible. Felicia’s new costume debuts in #117.
Spectacular Spider-Man #119: Felicia has a moment of introspection on her relationship with Peter.
Spectacular Spider-Man #123: Peter and Felicia seemingly reunite after Peter saves her after an explosion in her apartment.
Felicia has appearances in Amazing Spider-Man #288-289, which are part of the larger Gang War storyline, which takes place from Amazing Spider-Man #284-288. In ASM #289, which takes place after Spider-Man vs Wolverine (highly recommended), she presents Peter with some new costumes.
Tumblr media
Spectacular Spider-Man #128-129: Felicia’s revealed to have double-crossed Peter up – or has she?
At this point in time, Felicia vanishes off the pages for a little bit. Peter and Mary Jane shortly get married, which Felicia only finds out when she returns to Peter’s old apartment, expecting to find him. In an attempt to get revenge on Peter, she starts dating his best friend, Flash Thompson – only to end up genuinely falling for him. I love Flash and Felicia’s relationship, and it’s genuinely really sweet, but some PeterFel highlights from this period: on the last page of Amazing Spider-Man #329, Flash shows up with Felicia at Peter and Mary Jane’s loft, and ASM #330 has a flashback to a double date dinner. In ASM #331, Felicia confronts Mary Jane about her marriage to Peter and reveals her plan to break Flash’s heart to hurt Peter. (I think it’s important to remember at this point in time that everyone here is in their early 20s and very dramatic.) In ASM #335, Flash tries to arrange a double date while Felicia canoodles with him in front of Peter. In ASM #341-343, Felicia twigs to the fact that Peter’s lost his powers, and the two team up again. In ASM #346, Felicia offers to help Peter with a supervillain, and in ASM #347, she says that even though she still has feelings for Peter, she’s now in love with Flash.
Web of Spider-Man #80: When Peter goes missing, Mary Jane asks Felicia to track him down.
Tumblr media
Spectacular Spider-Man #204-206: Both Felicia and Peter attend the reading of Harry Osborn’s will following his death in Spectacular Spider-Man #200. When Flash is injured by Tombstone, Felicia becomes furious that Peter didn’t tell her. This isn’t a particularly romantic Peter and Felicia teamup, but I do feel it’s a good look at their dynamic post-romantic relationship.
Spider-Man Unlimited #11: The Spider-Man in this story is Peter’s clone, Ben, but on top of the Ben/Felicia flirting, there’s plenty of PeterFelicia background. A woman from Ben Reilly’s past has been murdered – and someone wants to put the blame on the Black Cat.
Peter Parker Annual 2000: The B Story (although the A Story features one of my favorite rare Marvel characters, Bounty). With Mary Jane currently presumed dead, Peter encounters Felicia one night.
Tumblr media
Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do #1-6: Felicia Hardy’s asked to track down a missing friend, while Peter Parker hunts for the source of the mysterious drug-related death of one of his students. When these two events bring them back together, they team up to take down a threat who can give people a high – or kill them – without ever being in the same room. This one tends to be a “love it or hate it” series for people, especially considering it retcons Felicia’s backstory to include sexual assault as motivation for becoming the Black Cat, but there is an awful lot of Peter/Felicia content in it. Warning that rape is a major theme in the story.
Marvel Knights Spider-Man #1-12: Aunt May is kidnapped, and Peter’s on a race around the clock to save her before time runs out. Felicia’s the first person he calls for help. Feilcia takes a few issues to become a major part of this story, but it’s all one big arc, and she has a huge part in it, especially in the ending. Also features Peter and Felicia both calling each other “baby” when they’re not in a romantic relationship.
Tumblr media
Spider-Man Unlimited (2004) #14: A Story. Felicia enlists Peter help to break into the Latverian Embassy.
Amazing Spider-Man #606-607: Post-Brand New Day, the link between Peter Parker and Spider-Man has been erased from the minds of almost everyone, including the ones who knew him best – like Felicia Hardy. It doesn’t stop them from teaming up – or hooking up.
Tumblr media
The Many Loves of Spider-Man: A oneshot collecting several different stories about the women in Peter’s life. The Black Cat one is very cute.
Web of Spider-Man (2009) #11-12: When Spider-Man goes missing, Mary Jane contacts Felicia Hardy to find him.
Tumblr media
After this we hit Superior Spider-Man and things get not good for a while, which you’re probably familiar with if you’re getting into them through the current ASM run, where Peter’s finally re-unmasked to Felicia and restored her memories. But that should bring you up to date!
Some other continuity PeterFelicia recs:
Spider-Man Noir & Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face: Four issues each, Spider-Man Noir takes place during the Great Depression. The nephew of socialist rabble rousers, Peter Parker is an angry young man taken under the wing of Ben Urich, Bugle Reporter, when he’s bitten by a mysterious spider. Felicia Hardy owns a speakeasy, the Black Cat, and knows all about the criminal underworld. Felicia first appears in Spider-Man Noir, but the romance doesn’t kick off until Eyes Without a Face. If you liked Noir Peter in Into the Spider-Verse, I recommend his comics.
Tumblr media
Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist: While Felicia has a quest in the main game, she makes an appearance during The Heist, the first DLC from the PS4 Spider-Man game. When Felicia starts stealing drives belonging to a major crime family, she claims she needs to complete the heist to save her son -- leaving Peter to wonder if the child is his.
If you don’t have the time/cash/inclination to play the game but still want to see the PeterFelicia scenes, this video has all the Black Cat stakeout missions from the main game, and this hour long video basically has the entirety of The Heist.

xXxXxXxXxX
She was happily digging into her yogurt when he came home that night. She made a rather comical sight, balancing the large, low fat, family sized tub on her protruding middle as she sat on the couch in the living room.
“Welcome back,” she chirped, apparently in a good mood. She was always in a good mood when she had something to eat. He dropped his keys on the end table by the hallway and wandered towards her. He looked tired and just a tad frazzled, so she petted the cushion beside her and invited him to sit.
He slogged over and plopped down on the sofa unceremoniously. He usually possessed more grace and decorum than that, so his actions spoke for his level of exhaustion. Rindou reached out and tousled his hair. Without a word, he turned his face into the side of her neck and breathed her in. She craned her head and let him rest against her.
“Long day?” Her fingertips lazily scraped against his scalp, and he sighed, exhaling at the contact. His arm snaked around the back of her expanded waist, palm splayed flat against the side of her swollen belly, quietly caressing her. She snuggled happily into his touch.
“Mm,” he mumbled against her skin, just content to hold her. She was soft and warm and smelled so subtly sweet. It was nice to come home to her like this.
She let him do as he pleased, and continued to tuck into her tub of yogurt and watch her show. He’d perk up and start becoming more coherent once he was good and ready.
Sure enough, he stirred after a while, nose twitching as he raised his head a bit to investigate what she was eating.
“What are you having?” he asked. “You didn’t put strange things in there again, did you?”
He really was such a worrywart. In response, she scooped a spoonful of her yogurt and fed him. “Taste for yourself; I’ve been good! It’s all the boring stuff that you’ve been nagging me to eat more of.”
Sure enough, it was a fairly regular mix of muesli, granola, nuts, chia seeds and frozen berries. This time, it was his turn to lift his hand and pet her on the top of her head. “Good girl.”
She mock scowled at him. “Are you patronizing me, mister?”
“I’m not. Give me more. I’m hungry too.”
“Eh? Why must I? Why are you stealing food from a pregnant woman?” She sounded rather offended as she hugged the tub of yogurt possessively to her chest, and he looked equally offended by her unwillingness to share.
“I’ve been working hard to support this family, haven’t I?”
“I’ve been working really hard too! I’ve been 3D printing a baby for more than half a year; it’s a lot of effort!”
Despite all that protesting, she did deign to share her snack with him even as she muttered. They sat there and took turns with the spoon. Eishi seemed in danger of nodding off again.
“Everything okay?” she asked. He nodded sleepily against her.
“Mm.” Then he groaned. “I don’t want to open another restaurant ever again.”
She snorted at his remark. “It’s tough being a perfectionist, huh.”
He squeezed her in retaliation. “Are you going to nag me now, woman.”
She tugged lightly at his snowy white hair, amused by his disgruntlement. “Who are you calling a nag, you grumpy old man?”
“I’m not old; my hair is just naturally white,” he muttered in protest. It wasn’t anything that she hadn’t heard before. She cackled.
“That excuse’s not gonna hold forever, you know.”

What you’re looking for isn’t in the past, man. Neither of us are the people we were when we hung out years back. Dinah and I’ve got a nice thing happening here in Seattle. Be a pal and don’t rattle the apple-cart now.

Note
do you have a hal Jordan reading list? Also he's a character that's been around for agesss so I wanted to ask you about your favourite storylines/comic runs with him
WELL it's both a simple and complicated answer. the simple answer: read all of it! the complicated answer: still read all of it but technically not actually :/
1. Green Lantern (1960)
The Beginning. I personally recommend starting from #76 (the beginning of the famed Hard Traveling Heroes arc) and then just reading the whole rest of the run from there, and maybe going back to start from the actual very beginning later. Not that it's bad, per se, just... very notably from the time in both writing and art style and imo takes a little time to get used to. I will admit it's been a couple years since I read this run all the way through so I can't recommend any specific arcs, but as a whole I found it genuinely interesting to read and provides a nice chill way to get comfortable with the lore.
2. Action Comics (1938)
regrettably at the end of his original run gl does get canceled and hal gets booted to having a spot in Action Comics Weekly from #601-635. these are some of my favorites, though! hal's living in hotels, breaks up with arisia, and gets on oprah! a little sillier in places than his original run but overall entertaining and a nice bit of characterization.
INTERLUDE: THE HAL-OLLIE GOOD OL DAYS SPECTACTULAR
-Action Comics Weekly #606
-Green Arrow (1988) #20
-Secret Origins (1990) #50
-Green Arrow (1988) #69
-Green Arrow (1988) #96
YOU WANT THE PAIN OF LOST FRIENDSHIP? THE HURT OF WHAT MAYBE NEVER WAS AND DEFINITELY WILL NEVER BE AGAIN? TRY THIS ON FOR SIZE BABEYYYYY
3. Green Lantern (1990)
the end of acw happens to lead directly and nicely into the 90s gl run. hal's a bit older, a bit more abrasive, and clearly heading somewhere no one wants to go. #1-50 is all hal, and thereafter switches to kyle. i really enjoy this run because if you pay attention, hal's decent into parallax isn't nearly as much of a surprise as you might think. I may be a bit biased due to emerald twilight being one of my favorite arcs of all time, but what can you do.
for more specific recommendations regarding parallax, @ufonaut does have this handy dandy list available which I myself wholeheartedly recommend. It includes Zero Hour as well as Final Night, two major comic events whish are among my absolute favorites as well.
ADDENDUM: Day of Judgment (1999)
here is where hal jordan becomes the spectre. while he doesn't show up until about halfway through, i still find it to be a pretty good read. plus you get this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
from here on out hal see's being the spectre solely as a punishment and never truly moves on from that, which contributes to his struggles of accepting his new identity and role.
ADDITIONALLY: I personally find DeMatteis' run on The Spectre to be pretty boring compared to the likes of Ostrander and even Moench, HOWEVER following his demise in Final Night and becoming the Spectre following the events of Day of Judgment, hal's initial period as the spirit of vengeance is.... tumultuous, to say the least. JLA (1997) #35, Green Lantern (1990) #119, and Legends of the DC Universe #33-36 detail that journey spectacularly. hal struggles hard with both becoming the spectre and with the guilt he still carries from parallax. It ultimately culminates in the arc Redemption Lost from JSA (1999) #60-62 in which all those struggles come to a head at once and force hal to give up his attempts at turning the spectre into a spirit of redemption and finally accept his ultimate purpose as the spirit of vengeance.
however! do not fret, as that last story came out in 2004, thus setting the stage for the next part of hal's life.
4. Green Lantern: Rebirth and Green Lantern (2005)
listed together because one is the prequel for the other. yes, I've come to really dislike geoff john and his work in the past year or so, but I unfortunately can't deny that his gl run is. good in places. yes geoff objectively reduces hal to boring space cop and absolves him of all guilt by blaming parallax on a whole separate entity all together. HOWEVER. the main three arcs, Sinestro Corps War (alternating Green Lantern #21–25, #26 and Green Lantern Corps #14–18), Blackest Night (primarily #43-52, but uhhh go here for absolutely everything it's insane), and War of the Green Lanterns (Green Lantern #63-67, Green Lantern Corps #58-60, Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #8-10). while hal isn't necessarily the main focus in some of these crossover issues, I included them anyhow so you have the full story. if nothing else geoff manages to develop hal and sinestro's relationship EXTREMELY well throughout these arcs, a small favorite of mine being Rage of the Red Lanterns (Green Lantern #28, #36-38) and I regrettably must thank him for that.
5. Green Lantern (2011)
Main focus here is geoff's run, from #1-20. not that vendetti is a bad writer, just..... nothing really interesting happens after geoff leaves, imo. not bad, just not as exciting. hal ended the last run getting kicked out of the glc and has to deal with sinestro getting invited back in. Wrath of the First Lantern is all the more unfortunately probably one of my favorite arcs of all time, a lot of it dealing with how hal and sinestro are sooooo close to being friends yet still on opposite sides of a war. like fellas!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FELLAS!!!!!
reading after that is optional, everything in new52 is honestly unreadable and the rest of this run comes pretty close to it.
6. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps (2016)
honestly no real opinion unfortunately. vendetti is one of those writers who feels like he takes no risks and so most of his work comes off as a little too "safe". again, not bad. just. mostly boring. I can't remember anything of real note happening other than the beginning of it coming fresh off the heels of Cullen Bunn's Sinestro run and immediately throwing away and subsequently butchering any and all characterization made there for the sole purpose of making sinestro a one-note villain again.
7. The Green Lantern S1 (2018)/S2(2020)
Starts off great, ends kinda eh. I can appreciate morrison for tying in all the references to the classics but ultimately falls short. Fine for what it is, though. the Blackstars interlude is honestly the best part of it.
8. Green Lantern (2021)
YES it just started YES it's still REALLY good. you may say it's too early to tell but geoffery thorne is already starting to shine. admittedly hal IS taking a back seat to it all BUT I'm hardcore hoping all of thorne's ranting about how much hal sucks when he's not parallax goes. somewhere.
OPTIONAL: Green Lantern: Sleepers is a surprisingly good novel series by Christopher Priest. unfortunately while no digital copies exist (to my immediate knowledge) you can find the audiobook version on youtube here. book three is the one that focuses on hal specifically, but there are interludes in the first two books which include him still. they all can usually be found pretty cheap on thriftbooks and the like if you ever want a physical copy.
sorry this got so long, but unfortunately I'm.... just not a Specific Rec List sort of person. I find a character I like and consume content until there's absolutely nothing left. Here's hoping this at least gives you a good idea of what's in store for each chunk of hal's history. thank you!
